Crypto Trends

Bitcoin price eye $117K breakout as sell pressure drops

by admin September 16, 2025

After a turbulent start to September, Bitcoin is still trading just above $115,000, and sell pressure indicators point to a possible accumulation phase.

Summary

  • Bitcoin price is consolidating above $115K after a brief dip, with sell pressure showing signs of easing.
  • Accumulation is picking up, suggesting stronger hands are absorbing supply ahead of the next move.
  • Resistance at $117K remains key — a breakout could open the way to $124K, while failure risks retesting lower supports.

Bitcoin is currently trading at $115,954, down 0.5% over the previous day. Weekly values have ranged from $110,870 to $116,705, which puts the asset 6.6% below its peak of $124,128 on Aug. 14.

Although it is still down 2% over the last 30 days, Bitcoin (BTC) has increased 3.4% over the last week. A 46.7% increase in daily trading volume to $45.1 billion from the previous day suggests that market activity has resumed.

Derivatives also saw momentum, with volume rising 42.18% to $75.28 billion, though open interest dipped slightly by 1.32%, suggesting traders may be cautious about taking new positions.

Analysts flag easing Bitcoin sell pressure

On Sept. 16, crypto analyst Ali Martinez noted that Bitcoin’s Sell-Side Risk Ratio had dropped below 0.1%, a level often associated with local bottoms, reduced sell pressure, and accumulation phases. Additionally, he pointed out that $116,963 is a crucial supply wall where sellers might try to profit if Bitcoin keeps rising.

Meanwhile, CryptoQuant contributor Arab Chain pointed to a sharp rise in the Bitcoin Scarcity Index on Binance, the first spike since June. When exchange supply thins out, either as a result of large investor withdrawals or a decline in sell orders, this index often rises. When this last happened, Bitcoin rose to $124,000.

However, Arab Chain cautioned that if the spike fades quickly, it could reflect speculative activity rather than sustained buying. A prolonged positive reading, by contrast, could confirm the beginning of a strong accumulation phase.

Bitcoin price technical analysis

On its daily chart, Bitcoin shows consolidation just below resistance at $117,525, and it is currently trading near the upper Bollinger Band. While the relative strength index, which is at 58, indicates neutral momentum, the Momentum and MACD indicators flash buy signals, indicating a bullish short-term scenario.

Moving averages continue to be very supportive as Bitcoin trades above its 50-, 100-, and 200-day levels, all of which flash “buy.” This alignment indicates underlying strength, even though the commodity channel index and stochastic RSI point to overbought conditions and the possibility of a brief decline.

If Bitcoin breaks above the resistance level between $116,963 and $1117,525, it might retest its all-time high of $124,128 from August. However, the price may return to support at $112,244 and perhaps $106,963 if this is not done.

Nintendo Drops Surprise Trailer for New ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’

Nintendo Drops Surprise Trailer for New ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’

by admin September 12, 2025

Mario is returning to the big screen. Following the massive success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which made more than $1.3 billion worldwide in 2023, animation studio Illumination and Nintendo are releasing a sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, in April 2026. Nintendo dropped a teaser trailer during its Direct presentation on Friday.

The teaser doesn’t offer much about the movie, which takes its name from the 2007 platformer. Mario dozes in a field before title credits appear, that’s about it. But the trailer still signifies that Nintendo will continue to churn out films aimed at turning Mario into a megafranchise.

It’s no coincidence that the trailer and accompanying announcement come just one day before the 40th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. video game. In the four decades since that game’s release, Mario—and Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, and other assorted characters—have become cultural icons.

In 1993, Super Mario Bros. became one of the earliest videogame film adaptations. It was panned by critics and fans, but in the years since, games ranging from Mortal Kombat to Tomb Raider have been turned into movies. Now, as superhero fatigue sets in and ’90s nostalgia peaks, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which will include nods to the entire Mario series, stands poised to continue Mario’s domination.

Considered the most successful video game adaptation ever made, The Super Mario Bros. Movie was the second highest-grossing movie of 2023, second only to Barbie. The original cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser, will return for the sequel.

Alongside the news, Nintendo also announced it will release remastered versions of Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel on October 2.

Ethena Drops USDH Hyperliquid Bid to Focus on Product Innovation

by admin September 11, 2025

Ethena Labs has abruptly pulled its bid to launch the USDH stablecoin, responding to mounting backlash and concerns about its wider goals. This decision comes just days before an important vote, giving validators a chance to rethink their choices and support other projects instead.

In his X post, founder Guy Young acknowledged community criticism and congratulated Native Markets on gaining validator support.

“Ethena is not a Hyperliquid native team, we have other product lines outside of USDH, and our ambitions extend beyond working with just one partner exchange,” Young said. He emphasized that concerns were valid and that Ethena respected the pushback.

The last few days have been incredible to witness. I’ve never seen a community rally around and engage with passion like this before.

Following direct discussions with individuals in the community and validators we have taken onboard some of the concerns, namely:

-Ethena is not…

— G | Ethena (@gdog97_) September 11, 2025

Focus Shifts to Product Innovation

Despite all this, Ethena is determined to ramp up its product development. The Founder Guy Young said that the team will be zeroing in on new offerings.  Some of them are hUSDe synthetic dollars, USDe-powered savings tools, and cutting-edge HIP-3 market designs.

These include reward-bearing trading collateral, modular prime broking, and perpetual swaps on equities. Young highlighted that their excitement lies in building solutions that expand crypto’s utility.

Moreover, Arthur Hayes, co-founder of Maelstrom’s crypto investment fund, has been increasing his stake in Ethena. According to Arkham data, Hayes purchased nearly $1 million worth of ENA tokens within 48 hours.

This included 578,956 ENA tokens valued at $473,000 on September 11 and an earlier tranche worth $521,000. His buying spree comes ahead of Sunday’s critical vote on the USDH proposal.

As of writing, Ethena is trading at $0.767120, which shows a 2.86% decrease in the last 24 hours. The trading volume is still robust at $704.54 million, according to CoinMarketCap.

Ethena’s withdrawal reshapes Hyperliquid’s stablecoin while Arthur Hayes’ bold ENA purchases show continued belief in Ethena’s long-term vision.

Forget Bose and JBL, Anker Soundcore Boom 3i Speaker Drops to Record Low Just Weeks After Release

by admin September 10, 2025

Summer may be nearing it’s end, but that doesn’t mean we need to spend all our time inside just yet. Take your music outside with the Soundcore Boom 3i, currently on sale. This outdoor Bluetooth speaker comes in four stylish color combinations. Choose between blue, brown, green, or black. Right now, the black has the highest discount, coming down to $90. The other three are still on sale, but not with as big of a drop. They’re down from $140 to just $100. But if you want something less traditional, the green is pretty slick. It’s got a neon green casing with blue highlights. Well worth the extra $10 in my opinion.

The Soundcore Boom 3i is for outdoorsy folk who want to bring rich, booming music wherever they go, by land or by sea. You see, tons of outdoor speakers will market themselves as being water resistant which really just means they can handle getting slashed on a bit. That’s not the case here. This is full IP68 dustproof and waterproof. More specifically it’s saltwater resistant. It comes in five times more resistant to saltwater than other speakers from competitors.

See at Amazon

Chuck It In the Ocean

So not only can this thing survive going in the water, it’s designed to be there in the first place. The Soundcore Boom 3i can fully float when placed in water. While it’s there, it still produces loud and rich sound with a powerful bass. When it floats, it’s balanced to stay upright so the sound is always projected above the water where you want to hear it. It’s a wonderful accessory to bring to the beach, to the pool, or out kayaking or paddleboarding.

On the subject of durability, this speaker can handle a littler roughhousing. It’s got a durable casing and has been drop-tested to survive falls of up to one meter.

As an outdoor speaker, this thing is only as good as its battery life (last time I checked, the beach doesn’t have too many outlets). The Soundcore Boom 3i provides up to 16 hours of playback time on a single charge.

Take full control of your Soundcore Boom 3i using the smart companion app on their phone. It can adjust settings such as voice amplifier and more. Push the bass to be super deep with BassUp 2.0. That can bring forward 50W of sound with a deep bass at 56Hz.

Right now, you can get the Soundcore Boom 3i for as low as $90 for a limited time.

by admin September 9, 2025

Too many things in our life need to get plugged in. Our phones, watches, headphones — damn near everything that isn’t attached to us needs to be charged at the end of the day. And now that it’s gotten even more complicated that everything is moving away from USB-A to USB-C. Sure, USB-C is a better standard and can do a lot more, but now I’ve got a bunch of USB-A charging blocks that are worthless to me. It’s time for a singular solution. Anker has its Prime Charger with a clock LCD display one sale for 35% off. Normally, it goes for $170, but for a limited time the price has shot down to just $110. That’s a savings of $60.

Avoid having a ton of clutter and cables running everywhere at your desk or on your nightstand. The Anker Prime Charger has four USB-C ports and two USB-A ports so you can keep all your devices together and nearby when it’s time to charge them. USB-C i universally compatible so use the hub to charge your laptops whether they are Apple or PC, your phone whether its an iPhone, Galaxy, or something else. Charge your earbuds, tablets, and more.

The Anker Prime Charger is capable of a maximum output of 250W between its six different ports. Three of the four USB-C ports each support 100W individually. The first one is special, capable of an output of 140W. Over that one, you can charge your stuff super quickly. A 16-inch MacBook Pro can go from zero to 50% in just 25 minutes. It will be fully charge in just over an hour and a half.

Tailor Your Charging With Smart Power Control

The dial on the side of the hub can be used to adjust the charging priority for your various devices plugged in. You can choose between port priority mode, dual laptop mode, or low current mode. Or just select AI power mode to have it automatically adjust to what is optimal.

Oblivion Remastered Drops To Mixed Review Status On Steam

by admin September 9, 2025

When The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion got its fancy new remaster earlier this year, fans of Bethesda’s open-world RPGs, myself included, were elated at the return of this vintage classic.

Sadly, the enthusiasm wasn’t made to last. As seems befitting of its origins as a Bethesda-developed game, Oblivion Remastered is plagued by bugs and crashes on PC, especially following its 1.2 update which has ticked off enough players to see its Recent Reviews status on Steam sink to the dreaded pale orange “Mixed” designation. Recent reviews cite quizzical issues with performance across the board, crashes, unfair difficulty scaling, and frustration with Unreal Engine 5, a sentiment only becoming more and more common.

“I stopped counting the crashes,” reads one review taking aim at crashes encountered whenever trying to sleep or skip time in the game. “I really want to recommend this game,” starts another, “but I can’t due to technical issues and performance.” The same review cites the “few and far in between” patches the game has received, and the recent 1.2 update certainly hasn’t helped. “Started playing at launch with mods,” writes another reviewer, “and the game was perfectly fine to me. Came back this week and can’t for the life of me find out how to fix the “gpu crash dump triggered” crash.”

Frustration over performance is certainly one of the louder sentiments among Steam reviewers, especially with the remaster exhibiting the well-known stuttering issues seen in other Unreal Engine 5 games. But as another reviewer points out, not all the issues are unique to the new version. “Old 2006 Oblivion bugs have been faithfully ported over to the 2025 remaster,” they write. “I was shocked to find issues, look them up online for [a] workaround, and [saw] these were the exact same bugs from the 2006 game.”

Speaking for myself, the wildly inconsistent framerate and stuttering have definitely meant that I’ve spent considerably less time with the gorgeous remake of Bethesda’s 2006 open-world RPG than I was hoping to. Bummer!

TP-Link WiFi 6 Mesh (3-Pack) Drops Below Prime Day Pricing, Cheaper Than Buying Singles

by admin September 9, 2025

A sketchy home Wi-Fi system will drive you nuts in so many ways. Streaming fails, sudden lag fits during an intense gaming session, and those awful dead spots that somehow seem to move around the house — they all mean your home network is outdated or just too weak to give you a strong signal throughout the house.

A mesh Wi-Fi network is the answer — one hardwired mothership and two wireless beacons render your old router and extenders moot and give you a powerful, consistent signal everywhere. Right now Amazon is running a great $140 sale on the TP-Link Deco X55 AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 mesh system, which blankets up to 6,500 square feet in a signal strong enough to banish those dead spots and eliminate those laggy streaming and gaming sessions.

See at Amazon

Lose the Boosters

Wi-Fi boosters and wall-outlet range extenders were the best weapons against Wi-Fi dead spots and weak signals for years, but even at their best they only gave you marginal relief. As both Wi-Fi and the devices that rely on Wi-Fi evolved, those boosters and extenders fell way behind the times, and the mesh network stepped up to take on the fight.

TP-Link was one of the early adopters of mesh technology, and this is one of their better systems at an exceptional price. Each one of the 3 units has three Gigabit ports if you want or need to hardwire, and the easy-to-install network supports up to 150 devices to ensure you’re not experiencing web traffic jams when everyone logs in at the same time. The difference you’ll immediately experience is huge  — speeds of up to 3,000Mbps, with TP-Link’s AI-Driven Smart Mesh technology that learns your network environment and user behaviors and adjusts on the fly to optimize your signal.

Bigger and Safer

The 6,500 square foot range of the TP-Link Deco X55 network is enough to cover most homes and often backyards or garages in a powerful signal. But if your home or property outstretch that coverage, adding another TP-Link Deco beacon is an inexpensive and amazingly easy solution — just plug it in and the network immediately adds it, and your signal and coverage grow.

The TP-Link Deco X55 mesh network is also sure to upgrade your home internet security, with a real-time network scanner that automatically detects threats, robust and easy to operate parental controls, and for an extra $6 per month or $55 per year you can install TP-Link’s HomeShield Pro service for DDoS attack prevention, advanced parental controls, and more.

The TP-Link Deco X55 mesh network and Deco app will take you from unboxing to a massive upgrade to your home Wi-Fi network in next to no time, and this Amazon deal that brings you the 3-pack set for just $140 is a 30% drop from the usual $200 price.

Ethereum Revenue Drops but Analysts Say Network Still Strong

Ethereum Revenue Drops but Analysts Say Network Still Strong

by admin September 8, 2025

A Messari analyst sparked heated debate over the weekend after declaring Ethereum is “dying” as network revenue declined in August.

In an X post on Saturday, Messari research manager AJC stated that “Ethereum’s fundamentals are collapsing,” as Ethereum’s revenue from fees in August was $39.2 million, down over 40% year-over-year and approximately 20% month-over-month.

Source: AJC

But many who read the post disagreed, pointing to Ethereum’s rising metrics, app revenue, stablecoin supply, continued L2 scaling and a distinction between Ethereum being a commodity, rather than a tech stock — meaning it shouldn’t be valued based on revenue.

Ethereum is still a vibrant ecosystem

A large part of Ethereum’s fall in revenue has come as a result of the Dencun upgrade in March 2024, which lowered transaction fees for layer-2 scaling networks using it as a base layer to post transactions.

Speaking to Cointelegraph, Henrik Andersson, chief investment officer of investment firm Apollo Crypto, said it is unlikely Ethereum is dying, because data from Ethereum L2s analytics tool growthepie shows it’s still “a vibrant ecosystem with stablecoin supply, throughput, and active addresses are all at or close to all-time high.”

As of Aug. 30, there were also over 552,000 daily active addresses on Ethereum according to investment research platform YCharts, representing a 21% increase since the same time in 2024.

There were over 552,000 daily active addresses on Ethereum as of Aug. 30. Source: YCharts

“We believe both Ethereum and Bitcoin have a place in a crypto portfolio,” Andersson said.

“Ethereum is becoming the neutral decentralized base layer for finance and just like Bitcoin is not valued on revenue but as a store of value, we don’t believe Ethereum can be valued solely on its revenue.”

In response to critics, however, AJC defended his use of revenue to value the layer-1 blockchain, explaining that because it’s collected in Ether (ETH), one of the largest historical demand drivers of consumption is now “trending toward zero.”

At the same time, AJC argued that active addresses and transactions are “meaningless statistics as it pertains to demand.”

Ethereum has been declared “dead” 40 times this year

Ethereum has been declared by various sources at least 150 times since 2014; most of these deaths have been recorded this year, with about 40, according to Ethereum Obituaries.

Ethereum has been declared dead 150 times before ACJ’s post. Source: Ethereum Obituaries

Ryan McMillin, chief investment officer at Merkle Tree Capital, told Cointelegraph that Ethereum continues to adapt and is generally declared dead in moments of narrative weakness, falling fees, transaction trending lower, or when competitors outpace it.

He said that in theory, because smart contracts are a competitive sector, developers and capital could slowly but permanently migrate elsewhere.

“But in practice, its developer community, entrenched DeFi protocols, and regulatory acceptance give it more staying power than the obituaries suggest; its current narrative is it will be the TradFi chain of choice, although the SOL ETF may disrupt that too,” McMillin said.

“The bigger story is that crypto is maturing into an ecosystem of differentiated assets, and Ethereum will remain one of the central pieces for years to come, and competition with other L1s is very healthy.”

McMillin said he doesn’t think Ethereum is “dying,” but said it has been stuck in a “difficult spot” for nearly two years because it’s trapped between Bitcoin’s narrative as digital gold and Solana’s pitch as the faster, cheaper alternative.

Related: Ether whales have added 14% more coins since April price lows

“Ethereum’s ultra-sound money framing was never going to win against Bitcoin’s harder monetary premium, and when it comes to throughput and cost, Solana simply offers magnitudes of improvement,” he said.

One area that has helped Etherum in 2025 is its spot exchange-traded funds, which unlocked traditional finance flows and positioned Ether as a levered play on stablecoin adoption and network growth, according to McMillin.

“But that advantage may not last long, spot Solana ETFs are expected in the coming weeks, which could quickly level the playing field for mainstream capital inflows.”

This UGREEN USB-C Charger Drops to a Practically Free, Stock Up for Samsung and Apple’s New Devices

by admin September 5, 2025

There are too many devices and not enough outlets in my life. My phone, tablet, headphones, and everything else are in a constant battle to get plugged into my nearest USB-C port. If this is your life too, you need to upgrade from the cube that came with your phone to something much more useful. This UGREEN 65W USB-C charger has multiple ports to plug your stuff into so you can recharge all your devices at once. The charger normally goes for $50, but for a limited time, you can scoop one up for 40% off. That discount brings the price down by $20, so you’re only paying $30.

See at Amazon

Ultra-Fast Charging

This UGREEN charger is pretty powerful despite its small size. It’s got two separate USB-C charging ports as well as a USB-a charging port, and can hit a max fast-charging output of 65W. To put some numbers on that, a MacBook Air M2 can go from zero to over 50% in just 30 minutes. The charging block supports Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0. The S24 Ultra can be brought up to 50% in just 19 minutes. An iPhone 15 Pro will go up to 60% in only 30 minutes.

The charger is about 55% smaller than a MacBook charger, measuring in at only 2.08 inches by 1.57 inches by 1.25 inches. And because it’s so small, it will only take up a single outlet on a power strip. Huge pet peeve whenever manufacturers make their bricks so big they take up two or sometimes even three of them. Not and issue here.

Designed for portability, the prongs of the plug can be folded back into the brick. This let’s you toss it into your bag or pocket without risk of those little bits getting caught on anything or breaking.

USB-C and USB-A are pretty universally compatible at this point. So that means this UGREEN charger can be used with your phone whether it’s an iPhone or an Android from Google, Samsung, and more. It’ll work on a pair of JBL earbuds. It can even charge your Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch.

UGREEN designs its charges with safety in mind. The upgraded Thermal Guard protection system can safeguard your devices from overheating or short circuiting. No worry with leaving them plugged in.

For a limited time, you can grab yourself one of these UGREEN 3-in-1 USB-C and USB-A universal chargers on sale. Amazon’s limited-time discount has shaved 40% off the price, bringing what you pay down to just $30.
