This early Prime Day deal has MSI’s gorgeous 34-inch curved ultrawide QD-OLED gaming monitor dropping to $649 at Amazon

by admin October 3, 2025

If you want to view the output from your PC and its accompanying graphics card in fine detail, then you need to splash out on a quality monitor. Depending on your priority, whether it’s working on photo imagery or video, or for pure gaming, you go for the specs that suit your use case the best. In some of these early Amazon Prime Big Deals Day deals, there are some great discounts on popular monitor brands. Today, we have a deal on one of MSI’s fantastic QD-OLED gaming monitors, which will make your games pop, with inky blacks and eye-popping colors.

The MSI MAG 341CQP gaming monitor is on sale for $649 at Amazon, one of its lowest prices in recent history. With its large 34-inch ultrawide display and impressive specifications, this is a luxury gaming monitor for serious gamers who want to experience the best visuals on a QD-OLED panel. This monitor deal is also available directly from MSI, should they sell out quickly on Amazon.

The MAG 341CQP spans 34 inches diagonally and features a QD-OLED panel with an 1800R curvature to wrap around the periphery of your vision. It has an original list price of $899.99, but prices have fluctuated between an all-time low of $575.99 in November 2024, to $780 in May of this year (according to CamelCamelCamel). Currently, it’s discounted to a much more palatable price in this deal.

The MSI MAG 341CQP’s display features support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, handy for reducing screen tearing and frame refresh rate issues. The large 34-inch screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio and sharp 3440×1440 (UWQHD) pixel resolution. The refresh rate can go up to 175Hz. A QD-OLED panel means not only excellent contrast, but also super-low response times of around 0.03ms.

It also supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 and has a good selection of ports for video input. You can take advantage of two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4a port. It also works as a USB hub, with a built-in KVM. Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-B port, and a Type-C port with 15W charging. A 3.5mm audio jack is also included.

The monitor comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty from MSI, including coverage for OLED burn-in.

My iPhone Air Keeps Dropping Calls, but a Fix Has Finally Arrived

by admin September 30, 2025

The so-called scratchgate fiasco may have drummed up a lot of attention since Apple released its latest iPhones, but I’ve been struggling with a different issue.

Over the last several weeks, my iPhone Air has had trouble placing and receiving calls, and there have been periods in which I’ve completely lost service, even after turning my phone off and on again.

After digging online, it appears others have been experiencing similar problems. Phone Arena pointed to Reddit threads in which iPhone owners cite cell signal issues, regardless of whether they have service with Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile. I transferred my Verizon service from my iPhone 16 Pro Max to the iPhone Air, and only started having issues after doing so.

Just as I was about to resign and switch my service back to my older iPhone, Apple is rolling out an update with iOS 26.0.1 that’s designed to fix the problem. According to the release notes, Apple says this update will fix the fact that “a small number of iPhone users may be unable to connect to a cellular network after updating to iOS 26.”

iOS 26.0.1 should fix cellular network issues, among other problems with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Cole Kan/CNET/Apple

The outages I’ve experienced have been sporadic. One day last week, my friend texted that she was trying to call me, but it wasn’t going through; I had to redial a few times before I could reach her. The same thing happened with a handful of other calls I tried to place. Over the weekend, my mom tried contacting me all day, and was sometimes directed straight to voicemail — as were a couple of other calls. I only became aware of these failed call attempts because someone informed me about them later; there’s no way of knowing exactly how many rings I actually missed.

The most frustrating instance was when I was out shopping with my friend and I lost service for several hours. My phone remained on SOS mode, even after I restarted it, and I had to hunt for in-store Wi-Fi just to text her my exact location so she could find me. (We both have Verizon, and her iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is still running iOS 18, had no issues.)

I asked my CNET colleagues if they’d faced similar problems, and it appears my experience with the iPhone Air was an outlier. My iPhone 17 hasn’t had any issues, nor have Patrick Holland’s iPhone 17 Pro Max or Jeff Carlson’s iPhone 17 Pro.

When I saw iOS 26.0.1 was available, I updated my phone immediately. So hopefully my mom won’t think I’m ignoring her calls anymore.

September becomes an even more ridiculous month for releases as Hades 2 announces it’s dropping in 2 weeks

by admin September 12, 2025

Hades II – v1.0 Launch Trailer (Coming Sep. 25!) – YouTube

Watch On

In an event for something called the ‘Nintendo Switch,’ the well-coiffed businessmen took a break from hollering about Mario to drop a sly reveal: Hades 2’s full release date. It’s well, imminent: Hades 2 hits 1.0 this September 25, or 13 days from now. It’ll hit Switch at the same time, should you want to play it there.

You might actually want to, by the way, because one of the bells and whistles Supergiant’s bringing to the game on the 25th is cross-saves. “In v1.0, Hades II offers cross saves between the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions and the version here on Steam. If you’ve been playing in early access and wish to continue the journey on Nintendo’s game consoles, you’ll be able to transfer your save data through a simple in-game menu,” quoth the announcement post.

If you’re staring slack-jawed at the headline, swearing up and down that Hades 2 was already out, I don’t blame you. The game’s been in early access for over a year now, and was already good enough that our Harvey Randall made it his personal GOTY pick for last year.

Related articles

So I have a sneaking suspicion the full release will probably be quite good, and no doubt we’ll be along with a review when the game goes full 1.0 to let you know in the hopefully unlikely event Supergiant somehow biffs it at the final hurdle.

I wonder if the devs are nervous—I feel like I can sense a little bit of that in the announce post. “Hades 2 is our team’s first-ever sequel, and we’ve been giving it everything we’ve got for more than four and a half years,” says Supergiant. “The result is the biggest game we’ve ever made, and one we hope you’ll find to be a worthy successor to its namesake.”

I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t. But we’ll find out for sure when the Hades 2 full release hits Steam on September 25. Is it just me, or is this September absolutely buckwild, release-wise?

How to watch Apple debut the iPhone 17 lineup at its ‘Awe Dropping’ event on September 9

by admin September 6, 2025

It’s September, and that usually means it’s iPhone season. Like clockwork, Apple once again appears set to show off new smartphones with its latest showcase next week. The upcoming event has been dubbed “Awe dropping,” so we’re hoping for a few announcements that’ll warrant the tagline. The showcase begins on September 9 at 1PM ET/10AM PT.

If you want to tune in to hear what Tim Cook and crew have to say about the presumed iPhone 17, you can stream the show on Apple’s website or YouTube channel. We’ve also got the livestream embedded below so you can follow along with our liveblog while you watch.

With just a few days to go until the “Awe dropping” event, it seems like we’ve already gotten a lot of advanced insights about what the iPhone 17 lineup has in store. Apple introduced the software side of the equation with the iOS 26 unveil at WWDC this summer, and since then we’ve gotten some pretty reliable insights on the hardware.

The big reveal is expected to be an ultralight smartphone, likely called the iPhone 17 Air. This would be Apple’s first application of its Air nomenclature for mobile, and when we had Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman on the Engadget Podcast at the end of August, he suggested that the first iteration of the smartphone might come with some growing pains. We also anticipate seeing a base iPhone 17, an iPhone 17 Pro, and an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Beyond the smartphones, the “Awe dropping” event could also include three new Apple Watches and updated AirPods Pro earbuds. Bloomberg reports that Apple has several other devices in the works as well, including a new AirTag, Apple TV and iPad Pro, but it’s not as certain if those will pop up at this specific event. Either way, you can tune in on September 9 to hear about all the new product launches.

Key Reason Why Bitcoin Is Never Dropping Below $52K Again

by admin September 2, 2025

  • Has Bitcoin ever dropped below 200 WMA?
  • Bitcoin bucking risk-on trend

Bitcoin’s 200-week moving average (200 WMA) has now passed the $52,000 mark.

This essentially means that Bitcoin is likely never going back below the aforementioned level.

The 200 WMA is frequently utilized by traders in order to be able to smooth out years of price data and identify very broad trends.

This level is frequently seen as Bitcoin’s diamond-crusted support level that almost never gets breached.

Has Bitcoin ever dropped below 200 WMA?

Even though the 200 WMA is usually treated as the ultimate bottom, it is worth noting that the leading cryptocurrency has indeed dropped below that key level on several occasions.

For instance, the price of the flagship coin plunged below the key support during the most brutal days of the 2018 “crypto winter.” The cryptocurrency also slipped below the 200 WMA during the infamous “Black Thursday” back in 2020.

However, the instances when Bitcoin dropped below the key moving average would always mark long-term market bottoms.

Conversely, when the Bitcoin price gets overextended above the 200 WMA, it typically tends to reach the top of a specific market cycle.

Bitcoin bucking risk-on trend

In the meantime, Bitcoin is currently trading in the green after recently breaching the $111,000 level earlier today.

The cryptocurrency managed to deviate from US equities, including the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index. The stocks are currently in the red amid growing concerns about tariffs and rising bond yields.

However, the leading cryptocurrency is still underperforming gold, which is consistently hitting new record highs.

The cryptocurrency is still down nearly 11% from the record high that was achieved on Aug. 14.

The Hunting Wives star’s new Netflix crime drama is dropping very soon

by admin August 21, 2025

If you’re looking for something new on Netflix after The Hunting Wives, you’re in luck: Brittany Snow is starring in another crime drama, and it looks fantastic.

The Hunting Wives technically isn’t a Netflix series. It’s on Netflix, but it doesn’t feature the streaming service’s logo at the start, nor is it classified as a Netflix original. Starz licensed it to the platform for a year in the US, and it’s been a huge success, topping the country’s Luminate ratings.

Unfortunately, we could be waiting a while for The Hunting Wives Season 2 to be confirmed, so fans will need to find another show to watch.

If Wednesday Season 2 or Stranger Things Season 5 isn’t up your alley, you’ll happy to know that Snow (who plays Sophie O’Neill) has teamed with Netflix for a new series.

Brittany Snow’s The Beast in Me is coming to Netflix soon

The Beast in Me, a new series from Gabe Rotter (who wrote The X-Files Season 11), will premiere on Netflix on November 13, 2025.

As per Netflix, the show will follow Aggie Wiggs (Clair Danes), an acclaimed author who “has receded from public life since the tragic death of her young son, unable to write, a ghost of her former self.”

“But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance,” the synopsis continues.

“At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”

So, where does Snow come in? She plays Nina, Niles’ wife who becomes Aggie’s neighbor – so, we can expect things to be more than a little tense between them. It’s unclear how big her role will be in the show, but she’s listed high on its cast list, above the likes of Jonathan Banks and Deirdre O’Connell, so she could be a substantial (or perhaps briefly seen, but crucial) character.

“Brittany Snow supremacy continues on,” one user tweeted. “Brittany Snow lovers are being fed,” another wrote. “We waited long enough damn I missed my little blondie,” a third posted.

There have also been lots of posts on social media demanding The Hunting Wives Season 2. Rest assured, Snow wants it to happen.

“I think the end is really interesting and I know that we would deal with it in Season 2,” she teased to teased to Collider.

“There are a lot of questions that didn’t get answered because [showrunner Rebecca Cutter] wants to answer them in the next season if we get one.”
