Microsoft confirms Call of Duty DLC discounts with Xbox Game Pass now dropped in favour of reward points

by admin October 6, 2025

Microsoft has confirmed it’s dropped Call of Duty DLC discounts through Game Pass, with subscribers instead earning reward points.

As spotted by CharlieIntel last week, Game Pass Ultimate members could previously receive a 10 percent discount on Call of Duty add-on content. However, this discount has since been removed alongside Microsoft’s decision to increase the price of its top tier subscription.

In a statement shared with Eurogamer, Microsoft has now confirmed the removal of this discount, adding the change isn’t specific to Call of Duty.

The “Best Deal in Gaming” Just Keeps Getting Worse Watch on YouTube

“This is not specific to any one game and reflects all games and DLC purchases,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.

“Instead of a discount on the purchases, Ultimate and Premium subscribers will earn 10 percent and 5 percent – respectively – in points when purchasing select games and add-ons from the Game Pass library. Ultimate members continue to have 20 percent discount on select games from the Game Pass library. On top of that, all Rewards members will earn points when shopping games and add-ons on the Store, while Premium and Ultimate subscribers will earn even more, 2x and 4x respectively.”

Full details on the rewards programme can be found on the Microsoft website.

A further change has been made to the programme, though. Users are now no longer able to directly redeem earned points towards Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Instead, you’ll need to earn enough points for a gift card in a denomination sufficient to cover the cost of the subscription, and use this to purchase.

Last week, Microsoft announced an increase in price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription along with a shake of its tiers.

While it includes benefits such as Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics, the subscription now costs 50 percent more than before. This change to DLC discounts is another alteration that will impact subscribers for the foreseeable across DLC packs for all games.

The changes to Game Pass come despite Microsoft making record revenue from subscriptions last year.

Starbreeze admits it “dropped the ball” over stealth price increase to DLC bundle

by admin September 26, 2025

Starbreeze has admitted it “dropped the ball” after introducing a premium DLC subscription service for Payday 2 at the same time as increasing the price of its DLC bundle Infamous Collection without warning.

The company launched a subscription service for Payday 2 on Steam as part of the franchise’s 12th anniversary celebrations yesterday (September 24). The service offers players access to all the game’s available download content for $4.99 a month (with monthly renewal) or $19.99 for six months, with the option to cancel anytime.

What wasn’t part of the announcement, however, was a 50% hike to the DLC bundle, taking it from $100 to $150, resulting in a vocal backlash from the heist shooter’s long-time community.

In a statement to GameDeveloper, head of commercial Gustav Misser said: “We dropped the ball on coordinating internally and communicating with our community properly.

“The negative reaction makes complete sense, and the community has made it clear how the price change and its timing looks from the outside. We agree with the community, we messed up on this one, and we have reverted the price on the bundle effective immediately.

“In hindsight we should have realized how it would seem,” he added. “Since the bundle only charges for the items you don’t own, and the bundle discount is cumulative with any other discounts (i.e. discounts on the included items), the actual full price of the bundle can vary significantly.”

The Ninja Creami Deluxe has dropped to its lowest price this year at Amazon

by admin September 21, 2025

I know it’s not summer any more, but it’s never too early to get prepared for next year’s better weather. And if ice cream is one of your favorite things in the warmer weather, then you’ll want to check out this deal for the Ninja Creami Deluxe at Amazon for $249.99 (was $284.98).

My family and I love our ice cream maker. It’s actually my daughters’, but in reality, we all get to enjoy the benefits of it. We’ve made vanilla and chocolate flavours, but have our eyes set on more extravagant alternatives, including mint and mango. If that has you tempted, then don’t pass on this limited-time deal for the four-star-rated Ninja Creami.

Today’s best Ninja Creami deal

When I was young, ice cream was one of those treats that were limited to the times when an ice cream van came into our neighbourhood. It was once in a blue moon, and the options were pretty limited. Now that ice cream makers are more affordable than ever, anyone can make ice cream from the comfort of their own home.

The Ninja Creami includes dual-drive motors, which apply pressure and spin the paddle to ensure a creamy and consistent mix. All you have to do is add the ingredients to the bowl, and the Creami will do the rest.

If you’d like an ice cream maker that delivers soft serve options, then you’ll want the Ninja Swirl instead. While we’re talking about home gadgets that make life easier, you might also want to check out the latest air fryer deals and NutriBullet deals.

Netflix has just dropped a shocking new movie you need to stream after Unknown Number for one simple reason

by admin September 9, 2025

Let’s face it: Unknown Number might just be one of the most memorable Netflix documentaries of all time. When Lauryn and her boyfriend Oliver started getting texts from anonymous numbers that quickly became explicitly threatening, they’d never expected the culprit to be Lauryn’s mom, Kendra. My jaw is still on the floor after the perfectly executed twist two-thirds of the way through the new movie.

Frankly, I’ve been looking for the same documentary-binging high ever since. I didn’t expect to get it so soon, but out of everything new on Netflix in September 2025, another new movie released today (September 8) just might do the trick. In fact, I was already seated purely after reading the synopsis.

Behold: Stolen: Heist of the Century. If you think we’re getting the same whodunnit in the form of Unknown Number’s reveal, you’d be mistaken – if anything, Netflix is now subverting the surprise of its mystery by not only withholding who did it, but how the heist was even pulled off in the first place.

Stolen: Heist of the Century is our next big Netflix documentary movie after Unknown Number

Watch On

Let’s set the scene: it’s 2003 in Antwerp, Belgium. The target is the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, housing in the city’s so-called Diamond District with tons of well… you get the idea. Between February 15-16, 2003 a gang of thieves stole loose diamonds, gold, silver and other types of jewelry valued at more than $100 million, with the heist still considered one of “the greatest of the century” to this day.

In true Mission: Impossible style, here’s what our robbers had to get through. The vault that stored the precious gemstones and metals was located two floors below the main floor of the building, protected by multiple security mechanisms. These included a lock with 100 million possible combinations, infrared heat detectors, a seismic sensor, Doppler radar, and a magnetic field. The building itself had a private security force, with the district already heavily guarded and monitored.

Piece of cake, right? Well, although arrests were made in connection with the case, the stolen diamonds themselves have still never been recovered to this day. As Stolen: Heist of the Century explains, head gang honcho Leonardo Notarbartolo was arrested the Friday following the heist, because nearby garbage had connected him to the scene thanks to DNA found on a salami sandwich.

I’m not going to tell you exactly how our gang pulled off the heist – that’s literally the whole fun in watching the documentary – but what the team manages to do is nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s equally incredible that such a genius team could be so equally idiotic by leaving behind incriminating evidence.

Even so, Stolen: Heist of the Century is easily up there as one of the best Netflix documentaries for me, and I’ve seen just about everything in its back catalog.

This ASUS ROG Strix G16 Gaming Laptop (RTX 5060) Just Dropped in Price, Amazon Is Selling It at No Profit

by admin September 3, 2025

Gaming laptops do not come at bargain prices. If you’ve ever been walking around for one, you know that the instant you want to have powerful specifications, you’re facing a giant check. That’s why this Amazon sale is like a sweet surprise at the start of the school year. The 2025 ASUS ROG Strix G16 ( has just dropped to $1,274, down from its $1,500 price point, its all-time low.

Fantastic Gaming Laptop

This is a proper gaming machine, not a stripped-down entry-level model. At its heart, it’s powered by the new Intel Core i7-14650HX which is one of Intel’s latest 14th Gen laptop processors and built to handle demanding games. Pair that up with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, based on the fresh Blackwell architecture, and you’re ready for modern titles with cutting-edge performance. It also supports DLSS 4, NVIDIA’s new AI-driven upscaling tech, so you can enjoy more frame rates from your favorite games without sacrificing visual quality.

Of course, however, power is just half the tale. You need speed and room for your stuff, and this box has both: It comes with 16GB of DDR5 memory clocked at 5.6GHz, so running lots of different apps at once or streaming your games is silky-smooth. Storage is also generous: a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD gives you speed and space. That’s space for a ton of current AAA games, plus your work, media, and files.

The screen on the ROG Strix G16 deserves some special mention as well: A 16-inch FHD+ display with 16:10 aspect ratio and scorching 165Hz refresh rate ensures gaming is truly gratifying. That higher refresh rate doesn’t just help with competitive games: it’s also smoothes out scrolling websites, video watching, and even everyday motion. With a 3ms response time, ghosting and blur are reduced.

ASUS has also relied on its ROG Intelligent Cooling solution which involves a full vapor chamber layout, tri-fan technology, and liquid metal to help cool the CPU. Translation: you can push the hardware more aggressively without worrying about thermal throttling, and fans stay reasonably controlled compared to past versions. If you’re sweating out a marathon gaming session or exporting a video project, the machine has learned how to stay stable.

At $1,274, this deal really hits a sweet spot: You’re getting a brand-new 2025 model that combines powerful internals with thoughtful display features and cutting-edge cooling in a design that looks sharp. The biggest challenge may not be choosing it but catching it before Amazon runs out of stock!

To Free Up Inventory, Amazon Has Dropped the GoPro Hero 13 to a Record-Low Price

by admin August 31, 2025

GoPro has long been the name that comes to mind when talking about action cameras. Despite such tremendous competition from the likes of Insta360 and DJI, still millions of people instinctively reach for a GoPro when they buy an underwater camera that captures top-quality video with amazing stabilization.

The GoPro HERO13 Black carries on this tradition with its front- and rear-facing dual screens and is the go-to now to film everything from extreme sports to everyday life. Amazon is currently blowout pricing the back-to-school period and offers the HERO13 Black for an all-time-low $329, down from $430 (23% off).

Three Hours of Autonomy

In case you ever worry that you might drain your battery during an adventure, the HERO13 Black addresses this with a new 1900mAh battery. Its larger size gives you up to three hours of continuous recording at 1080p resolution, so it can hold out through extended hikes, bike rides or even two full one-hour scuba dives without a recharge. This feature lets you focus on your experience without concern about power. GoPro’s award-winning HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization renders your video as rock solid as possible even on rough rides or high-speed motion.

Quite possibly the most incredible aspect of the HERO13 Black is its lens compatibility: The camera works with the HB-Series lenses, like the Ultra Wide Lens Mod, that delivers a whopping 177-degree view so that you can capture scenes that feel more expansive and immersive. From sweeping landscapes to close-ups, the new Macro Lens Mod brings subjects in focus four times farther than the base lens, perfect for details that are out of sight most of the time. An additional lens option is the Anamorphic Lens Mod, which stretches the frame to an immersive cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio ideal for users who prefer shooting movies with a big-screen feel.

Carrying a gigantic 1/1.9″ sensor, the HERO13 Black captures stunning 27-megapixel images with detail and color richness. It captures video at jaw-dropping 5.3K resolution at 60 frames per second or 4K at 120fps for silky slow motion. You can also choose 2.7K at 240fps for extremely smooth slow motion which gives you the flexibility to shoot wherever you like. The camera has different video settings including 8:7, 16:9, and 4:3 aspect ratios so that you can film the way you like your content to look without fiddling around too much afterwards.

Don’t overlook the displays: the 2.7-inch rear touchscreen offers improved touch sensitivity, making it easier to frame shots and navigate menus. The front color screen is great for vlogging or selfies, and shows a clear preview so you’re always ready to capture the perfect moment. The improved interface even supports Wi-Fi 6 which means faster and more reliable transfers of your footage to your phone or computer through the GoPro Quik app.

The GoPro HERO13 Black is also tough: It’s water-resistant to 10 meters right out of the box, so you don’t have to stress about rain or splashes when filming outside.

Our recommendation is: Don’t miss your chance to obtain a GoPro HERO13 Black when it’s available at an all-time low price on Amazon.
