DJI Mic Mini Transmitter Is Going for Peanuts Just Like Its Size With a Never-Before-Seen Prime Day Discount

by admin October 6, 2025

Any creator that wants to be taken seriously needs to start focusing a lot more on their audio. It doesn’t matter if your doing simple vlogs from your couch or conducting those man-on-the-street styled videos. Your viewers, whether they are conscious of it are not, are going to notice your sound quality. Cheap audio reduces the production value of your work, even more so than poorly shot or low quality video does, at least in my opinion. The good news is that it’s easy to take your audio up from sounding bad to sound pretty good. The DJI Mic Mini is a wireless lavalier microphone that is easy to use and far from expensive. It normally goes for $60, but right now, Amazon has it listed for 29% off. That saves you $17, bringing the price down to just $42 for a limited time.

Comfortable on You and in Frame

The DJI Mic Mini is an ultra-light miniature wireless transmitter that can be worn comfortably and is aesthetically pleasing on camera.

This mini microphone for creators can be placed on the speaker’s person in three different convenient ways. It can clip onto the collar of their shirt as well as the inside of a button-up. You can choose to magnetically adhere it. Just slap the mini clip magnet behind the shirt with the DJI Mic on the front. And then lastly, you can use a simple lanyard and have it hang around the speakers neck like a necklace.

All you need is the one transmitter. When fully charged, it has a maximum operating time of up to eight hours. That should give you plenty of time to record interviews, selfie videos, on-stage events, or whatever it is your looking to capture.

The mic utilizes intelligent noise cancelling at two separate levels. The basic mode is made for indoor settings that are relatively quiet but still has some background noise that’s better off removed. Strong mode is ideal of outdoor noisy environments where you really need to separate the sound of your person speaking from the crowds.

The DJI Mic Mini uses an algorithm to makes sure the audio it picks up is good to use. It’s automatic limiting feature will lower the volume on its own if it detect audio input is too high. This can help prevent clipping.

For a limited time, you can grab the DJI Mic Mini wireless lavalier for the reduced price of just $42. Save $17 and upgrade your audio recording today.

Complete History Of Middle-Earth Collector’s Box Set Restocked With $170 Discount

by admin October 4, 2025

After selling out earlier this week, The Complete History of Middle-earth: Collector’s Box Set is back in stock at Amazon with a massive discount. The 5,440-page, three-book collector’s set is on sale for $80.65 (was $250) in Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days book promotion. The 68% drop–nearly $170 off–is the steepest price cut offered by Amazon since William Morrow published the collector’s set in 2020. Since Amazon has already sold out of this deal multiple times this week, you probably shouldn’t wait too long to snag this one. Like many other J.R.R. Tolkien and Lord of the Rings book deals Amazon is offering this weekend, you need to be a Prime member to get The Complete History of Middle-earth for this low price.

Alternatively, all four of the 2024 hardcover box sets collecting The History of Middle-earth and The Silmarillion are on sale for up to 66% off.

$80.65 (was $250) | Restocked on October 4

Published in 2020 with an MSRP of $250, The Complete History of Middle-earth is a wonderfully designed and constructed box set. Each book is heavy, but even the 2,000-plus page second volume offers a pleasant reading experience. Each book comes with a dust jacket and can be stored and displayed in a premium, custom-built case emblazoned with J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic logo.

Based on Tolkien’s Legendarium–a massive collection of backstories, lore, and notes covering Middle-earth throughout thousands of years–The History of Middle-earth was originally published from 1983-1996. Christopher Tolkien, the author’s son and literary executor, compiled, edited, and added to the legendarium to create 12 distinct books.

The Complete History of Middle-earth contains all 12 volumes in their original publication chronology:

  1. Book of Lost Tales, Part I
  2. Book of Lost Tales, Part II
  3. The Lays of Beleriand
  4. The Shaping of Middle-earth
  5. The Lost Road and Other Writings
  6. The Return of the Shadow
  7. The Treason of Isengard
  8. The War of the Ring
  9. Sauron Defeated
  10. Morgoth’s Ring
  11. The War of the Jewels
  12. The Peoples of Middle-earth

At 5,440 pages across three books, it’s probably safe to say that these would be the largest books on most fans’ bookshelves. Each of the three volumes was also published individually on the same day as the box set, but at current prices, you’d spend more for two of them than you would for the box set.

The History of Middle-earth Box Sets (2024)

The History of Middle-earth 2024 Box Sets

Though The Complete History of Middle-earth is the most economical way to read all 12 volumes in physical format, the 2024 box sets are certainly worth a look, too. These gorgeous sets include splashy, fully illustrated dust jackets and display cases. If you prefer a more traditional look, the other side of the reversible dust jackets feature the original graphics with solid-color backgrounds.

All 12 volumes are included as individual books across the four sets, but if you go this route, you’ll also get a few extra books. Publisher William Morrow decided to include The Silmarillion as the first book in Box Set 1. The Silmarillion, Tolkien’s best-known work besides The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, is often lumped in with The History of Middle-earth these days–and it makes sense why. Early drafts and parts of the 1977 classic are actually in the 12-volume series. Box Set 1 also includes Unfinished Tales, while the final set has a book-length index.

William Morrow continued its series of decorative Tolkien hardcover box sets this summer with Tolkien Myths and Legends, a four-book box set that’s on sale for $53.70 (was $125), and The Great Tales of Middle-earth, which contains Tolkien’s final three novels and is on sale for $75 (was $125).

Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut 4K Uncensored Edition Gets 30% Preorder Discount At Amazon

by admin September 28, 2025

Stanley Kubrick fans can save 30% on their preorder for The Criterion Collection edition of Eyes Wide Shut. The legendary filmmaker’s polarizing final movie arrives on 4K Blu-ray for the first time November 25. Preorders for Eyes Wide Shut’s 3-disc 4K Blu-ray edition are discounted to $35 (was $50) at Amazon. Criterion is also releasing a new 1080p Blu-ray edition the same day, and it’s also on sale for 30% off, dropping the price to $28.

Arguably Kubrick’s strangest–and certainly the most sexually explicit–film, Eyes Wide Shut was a major box office hit, but it proved to be too unsettling and weird for some critics and fans back in 1999. These days, though, many critics and fans alike consider Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman film to be a masterpiece. While it’s only the second Kubrick 4K release from Criterion–Barry Lyndon became the first in July–nearly all of Kubrick’s movies are now available on 4K Blu-ray from other distributors.

$35 (was $50) | Releases November 25

The 4K release of Eyes Wide Shut is a three-disc set with one 4K UHD disc and two 1080p Blu-ray discs. Like other Criterion releases, this version is designed to be as close as possible to Kubrick’s thoroughly meticulous vision for how it should be presented. While the famed director passed away in 1999 less than a week after screening the final cut for Warner Bros., Criterion’s restoration was supervised by the movie’s director of photography, Larry Smith. Since the 1080p version is based on the 4K restoration, it should also be an improvement over the current Blu-ray edition.

Notably, Criterion restored the international version–the aforementioned final cut–not the US theatrical edition, which was censored in order to attain an R rating.

On a technical level, this release offers support for Dolby Vision HDR and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

For the bonus materials, new interviews have been filmed with Smith, photographer and second-unit director Lisa Leone, and Stanley Kubrick archivist Georgina Orgill.

There are also archival extras from previous Blu-ray releases of Eyes Wide Shut, like interviews with the actors, a documentary examining the unfinished films of Kubrick, and more. All of these are available to watch on the bonus standard Blu-ray disc. The standard Blu-ray edition is a two-disc set with the same bonus features.

Inside the display case you’ll also find a booklet with a 1999 interview with Kubrick and actor Sydney Pollack as well as a new essay by author Megan Abbott.

Eyes Wide Shut: The Criterion Collection Features

  • 4K digital restoration supervised by director of photography Larry Smith
  • 3-disc set: 4K Blu-ray & 2 standard Blu-rays
  • Dolby Vision HDR
  • DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
  • New interviews with Larry Smith, second-unit director Lisa Leone, and Kubrick archivist Georgina Orgill
  • Archival interview with Kubrick’s wife Christiane Kubrick
  • Never Just a Dream: 2019 interviews with producer Jan Harlan, Kubrick’s daughter Katharina Kubrick, and his personal assistant Anthony Frewin
  • Lost Kubrick: The Unfinished Films of Stanley Kubrick
  • Kubrick Remembered: Interviews with Steven Spielberg and actors Todd Field and Leelee Sobieski
  • Kubrick’s 1998 acceptance speech for the Directors Guild of America’s D.W. Griffith Award
  • 1999 press conference with executive producer Jan Harlan, Tom Cruise, and Nicole Kidman
  • Trailers
  • English subtitles
  • Booklet with essay by author Megan Abbott and a 1999 interview with filmmaker and actor Sydney Pollack

Loosely adapted from Arthur Schnitzler’s novella Dream Story, Eyes Wide Shut follows doctor Bill Harford (Tom Cruise) and his wife, Alice (Nicole Kidman), as they confront their unconscious desires, jealousies, and fears inside of a version of New York City that feels a step removed from reality.

As mentioned, Eyes Wide Shut is only the second Kubrick film to receive a 4K Blu-ray edition from Criterion–most of his films, however, are available on 4K from different distributors. Barry Lyndon, Kubrick’s superb 1975 historical drama following a conman who infiltrates high society, is available for $31.64 (was $50) on 4K Blu-ray at Amazon. Barry Lyndon is a three-hour visual feast thanks to decadent cinematography and lavish costume designs. It was awarded the Academy Award for Best Cinematography.

It seems likely that Criterion will release more 4K Blu-rays of Kubrick’s work in the future. Barry Lyndon has been in the distributor’s catalog on standard Blu-ray since 2017. Criterion has standard Blu-ray editions of a few other Kubrick films, including Dr. Strangelove and The Killing.

The Shining: The Film Vault Limited Edition Steelbook (4K Blu-ray)

Kubrick fans will need to look outside The Criterion Collection to watch most of the director’s popular films on 4K Blu-ray, including The Shining, A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Full Metal Jacket. The Shining just joined The Film Vault, a collection of limited-edition 4K Blu-rays designed by Vice Press in partnership with Warner Bros., with a gorgeous new Steelbook Edition (shown above). Walmart is taking preorders for The Shining Steelbook Edition, and orders will begin shipping October 3. You can also get a Steelbook Edition of Full Metal Jacket for only $30 at Amazon.

Amazon also has a nice deal on the Stanley Kubrick 3-Film 4K Collection that drops the price to $43 (was $85). This box set includes The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Stanley Kubrick Movies on Blu-ray

Not all of Kubrick’s films have been restored on 4K Blu-ray. The 1956 film The Killing and Kubrick’s 1962 adaptation of Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita are only available on standard Blu-ray. We’ve included a list of Kubrick movies on 1080p Blu-ray below. In a few cases, the standard Blu-ray edition is considerably cheaper than the 4K edition. Just be aware that many of the 4K editions also come with standard Blu-ray discs. In addition to standalone editions, there are a few Kubrick Blu-ray box sets, including a fancy Amazon-exclusive edition dubbed The Masterpiece Collection–it’s out of print and fairly expensive–and a region-free 9-film collection that’s very reasonably priced at just $37.

Stanley Kubrick Books

Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining (Taschen)

If you love Kubrick’s films, you owe it to yourself to check out a few of Taschen’s superb books about the director’s work. Most recently, the premium art book publisher released an enormous two-volume hardcover set about The Shining. This exhaustive deep dive by J.W. Rinzler is based on hundreds of hours of interviews and mountains of research. It’s the definitive making-of account on Kubrick’s most popular film. The second book is a scrapbook with never-before-seen documents and photography from the production. The nearly 1,400-page box set is pricey at $125, but it’s simply incredible in scope. We’d highly recommend it.

We’d also recommend Taschen’s The Stanley Kubrick Archives, which is available in a large coffee table book edition and in a more budget-friendly, compact edition for $21. Taschen’s The Making of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey is sold out, but Michael Benson’s Space Odyssey, published by Simon & Schuster in 2018, is a stellar read, too. For a Kubrick biography, you have several options, including the highly rated 2024 book Kubrick: An Odyssey.

After Months Without a Discount, ASUS’s 15.6” Portable Monitor Drops Again Ahead of Prime Big Deal Days

by admin September 23, 2025

Having a work-from-home job doesn’t necessarily mean you need to always be working from home. You feasibly have the power to work from anywhere in the world so long has you have stable Wi-Fi. The thing that used to get in the way of me getting out more often with my laptop is that I don’t like working off just my laptop screen. At my desk, I have spoiled myself with three large monitors and can see everything I’m working on at once. On my laptop, I’m caught flipping through endless tabs and apps, losing track of what I’m looking at constantly. But now, I have gotten myself a portable monitor. You can too as this one from ASUS just dropped on Amazon from $209 to just $169. That 19% discount will save you a solid $40.

See at Amazon

Get Out More

For the worker that wants to get out and about more, ASUS’ portable monitor is perfect at it’s 15.6-inch display size. If you decide to head over to your local coffee shop or maybe get some work done in your hotel room while traveling, you can simulate your desktop experience, being able to view more of what you want to have access to at once. You can have the spreadsheet your building out on one display while you have your email or Slack opened up on the second as not to miss any pings coming your way. Or instead you can mute any incoming notifications and use your second monitor to watch the latest episode of Peacemaker while putting slides together for your next presentation on the first one.

The ASUS monitor has a built-in kickstand, making it easy to prop up. It can be setup in either landscape or portrait mode. I’m a big champion of the vertical display. Having your email or slack set up vertically just makes more sense than landscape. You can see more of your messages at once and be able to read more of those longwinded emails before you need to scroll down again.

The monitor supports a hybrid-signal, meaning the USB-C allows for the transmission of both video and power. This is wonderful because it means you’ll have less cables running across your workspace. It just needs the one USB-C cable connected from your laptop and that’s enough to turn on the portable ASUS monitor and send the video feed to it.

If you want to use the ASUS monitor as a more permanent secondary monitor, you’ll be happy to learn it is tripod hold compatible, letting you mount the display.

Bears Winning as ‘Meaningful’ Discount Emerges for 4 Bitcoin Treasury Firms: TD

by admin September 16, 2025

In brief

  • A growing number of Bitcoin treasury firms are trading at discount to their holdings.
  • Some are likely to fade away or become acquired, per TD Cowen.
  • The investment bank thinks others will still outperform Bitcoin.

Some Bitcoin treasury firms are losing their luster as share prices sag below a key threshold, TD Cowen analyst Lance Vitanza shared in a Tuesday note.

Among 13 Bitcoin-buying firms tracked by the investment bank, four are trading “at meaningful discounts” against the value of their respective crypto holdings, he said. Among them were Semler Scientific (-4%), Sequans (-25%), DDC Enterprise (-18%), and Bitcoin Treasury Corp (-18%).

To an extent, these firms are trying to emulate Strategy’s playbook. Like the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, they typically measure success based on the amount of Bitcoin that they own per share. All four firms pivoted toward buying Bitcoin this year.

Together, these firms have accumulated $1.15 billion worth of Bitcoin, but shifting stock prices have constrained a go-to source of funding. They can no longer issue common shares to buy Bitcoin, and while capturing that premium, purchase the asset to increase Bitcoin per share.

Strategy, which owns $73.49 billion worth of Bitcoin, has never slipped below the threshold. Within the cryptosphere, that ratio is colloquially referred to as mNAV, or market-to-net-asset value. Still, at a 1.29x premium, Strategy’s mNAV was two basis points away from all-time lows on Tuesday, according to Bitcoin Treasuries.

“A lot of this is an attention game,” Carlos Guzman, a research analyst at market maker GSR, told Decrypt, suggesting that Strategy benefits from a first-mover advantage.

Strategy’s premium peaked at 3.1x in November—before the debut of most Bitcoin treasury firms. As that premium has shrunk, common issuance has grown less accretive, Vitanza noted. That has made it more difficult for Strategy to grow its Bitcoin per share.

Bitcoin treasury firms are known to experience outsized volatility, “and bears clearly having their day,” Vitanza said. Some stocks should realistically trade at a premium, he said, given their lack of fees, ability to take on leverage through cheap debt, and manage operating expenses.

Moreover, TD Cowen expects “a number” of existing Bitcoin treasury firms to outperform the underlying asset, Vitanza said, noting that some struggling ones will likely be acquired.

James Chanos is likely among the bears Vitanza pictured. In May, the famed short-short seller declared that he was betting on an increase in Bitcoin’s price and against Strategy’s shares. When he unveiled his trade, Strategy was trading at a 1.94x premium to its Bitcoin holdings.

On Monday, Bitcoin treasury firm Kindly MD saw its premium temporarily evaporate after its CEO, David Bailey, encouraged the company’s doubters to sell their shares. Trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “NAKA,” its stock crashed more than 54% on Monday to $1.26 a share. The drop came after a tranche of shares became freely tradable for certain investors.

Shares rebounded to $1.51 on Tuesday, a 21% increase, according to Yahoo Finance. But with a market cap of around $568 million, the company’s shares changed hands at a 1.004 premium to its Bitcoin holdings.

The market may be souring on certain Bitcoin treasury firms today, but broadly, an increase in the asset’s price could flip the script fairly quickly, GSR’s Guzman said.

“Excitement for Strategy has gone away, but then the market turns, and it comes back,” he said. “Even if we’re seeing like these discounts right now, it could easily turn around if there’s more excitement or a big rally in Bitcoin.”

New Novel In The Da Vinci Code Series Gets 40% Launch Discount

New Novel In The Da Vinci Code Series Gets 40% Launch Discount

by admin September 11, 2025

The sixth novel in the best-selling Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown has arrived. The Secret of Secrets was published by Penguin Random House imprint Doubleday on September 9. Fans of the thriller series can grab the hardcover edition of The Secret of Secrets for only $22.80, which is a 40% discount from the novel’s $38 MSRP. Netflix is already working on a TV series based on The Secret of Secrets.

Though officially known as the Robert Langdon series, many refer to it by the name of the protagonist’s second adventure: The Da Vinci Code. Released in 2003, The Da Vinci Code achieved a level of popularity we might never see again in the world of thriller novels. By 2009, more than 80 million copies of The Da Vinci Code had been sold. It’s one of the best-selling books of all time, and you can add to that total by picking up The Da Vinci Code: Special Illustrated Edition for only $15 (was $40) at Amazon.

Fans waited eight years for The Secret of Secrets, which is the longest gap between Robert Langdon novels in series history. The new novel also happens to be the longest Langdon thriller yet at 688 pages.

In addition to hardcover, The Secret of Secrets is available in large print paperback for $40, Kindle ebook for $16, and as an audiobook via Audible. Earlier this year, Netflix announced a TV series based on The Secret of Secrets.

$22.80 (was $38)

Prior to The Secret of Secrets, the longest novel in the series was Angels & Demons, Langdon’s first adventure, at 572 pages. Three of the Langdon novels are under 500 pages, including The Da Vinci Code, so The Secret of Secrets is quite the doorstopper in comparison.

On a visit to Prague to attend the lecture of his girlfriend and noetic scientist Katherine Solomon, Robert Langdon gets entangled in a dangerous conspiracy of world-altering proportions. When someone is murdered and Katherine disappears–along with a manuscript that “contains startling discoveries about the nature of human consciousness”–Langdon must use his expertise in symbology to find Katherine and unravel the mystery and unmask a shadowy organization.

The Secret of Secrets is said to fuse ancient mythology with technology out of a sci-fi novel.

Like all of Brown’s Da Vinci Code novels, The Secret of Secrets draws from history, but don’t expect it to adhere to the truth. Brown has received criticism for using historical inaccuracies, particularly when it comes to religion, as plot devices. To be fair, these books star a professor of symbology, which is a job that doesn’t exist. Symbology is indeed the study of symbols, but it’s not a formalized field like it’s depicted in Brown’s books. The series is popular because Brown writes fast-paced, high-concept stories that often use true historical events as a foundation before asking the question: What if everything we believe to be true is wrong?

These books are supposed to be fun, not realistic. After all, one of the main plot drivers in The Da Vinci Code is a hidden message on the Mona Lisa. Langdon’s field of study naturally introduces grand conspiracies that readers (and viewers) are captivated by.

The Da Vinci Code / Angels & Demons

If you need to catch up on the Robert Langdon series before diving into his latest high-stakes adventure, the first five books are available for fairly cheap in paperback and hardcover. The series started in 2000 with Angels & Demons, though many readers wound up reading this one after The Da Vinci Code. The third novel, The Lost Symbol, hit bookstores in 2009. Brown followed it up with Inferno in 2013 and Origin in 2017. The first four novels are also available as Special Illustrated Edition hardcovers. The Da Vinci Code Special Illustrated Edition is up for grabs for only $15, just a couple bucks more than traditional hardcover and paperback versions. The Special Illustrated Edition has over 160 full-color illustrations.

Paperback

  1. Angels & Demons — $10.49 ($19)
  2. The Da Vinci Code — $12 ($20)
  3. The Lost Symbol — $15.30 ($19)
  4. Inferno — $14 ($19)
  5. Origin — $10.87 ($19)

Hardcover

  1. Angels & Demons — $18.62 ($38)
  2. The Da Vinci Code — $12 ($38)
  3. The Lost Symbol — $13 ($38)
  4. Inferno — $13 ($38)
  5. Origin — $18 ($38)
  6. The Secret of Secrets — $22.80 ($38)

Special Illustrated Hardcover Edition

  1. Angels & Demons — $30 ($40)
  2. The Da Vinci Code — $15 ($40)
  3. The Lost Symbol — $40.79
  4. Inferno — $37.49 ($40)

Outside of The Da Vinci Code series, Brown has published two standalone novels for adults: Digital Fortress and Deception Point. Released in 1998 as Brown’s debut novel, Digital Fortress is a techno-thriller revolving around government surveillance. Deception Point, published in 2001, is a mystery-thriller about discovering proof of alien life against the backdrop of an important presidential election.

Robert Langdon movie adaptations starring Tom Hanks

Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of The Secret of Secrets means that five of the six novels in the series will have screen adaptations. Tom Hanks starred in popular film adaptations of The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels & Demons (2009), and Inferno (2016). In 2021, an adaptation of The Lost Symbol premiered on Peacock; the series ran for 10 episodes but was canceled after Season 1. The only Robert Langdon novel without an adaptation is Origin.

If you want to check out the movies and Peacock series, all four are available on Blu-ray. The Robert Langdon 3-Movie Set is only $18.47 (was $31). Alternatively, you can get each movie on 4K for $16-$17 each. The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons received 4K restorations in 2016 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the movie adaptation as well as the theatrical release of Inferno, the final appearance for Hanks as Langdon. The Lost Symbol: Complete Series is $35 on Blu-ray and $25.84 on DVD.

Lego Batman Animated Series 3D Wall Art Gets Rare Discount At Walmart

by admin September 2, 2025

Lego’s highly detailed recreation of Gotham City’s skyline is on sale at Walmart as part of the retailer’s huge Lego sale dubbed Bricktember. The month-long event includes a bunch of exclusive Lego bundles and deals on seldom-discounted sets such as this Batman: The Animated Series display model. At 4,210 pieces, Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City is the largest Caped Crusader Lego set in print today.

Released last spring with a $300 price tag, this incredible piece of 3D wall art is on sale for $267 while supplies last. Bricktember runs until the end of September, but this is one of the deals that’s very unlikely to remain in stock through the duration of the sale. The same goes for Walmart’s stellar deal on Lego’s Batman Construction Figure and Bat-Pod Bike. Normally $65, Batman fans can snag this 713-set based on The Dark Knight movies for only $45.

Walmart Bricktember Sale: Batman Lego Deals

$267 (was $300) | 4,210 Pieces

Lego’s colorful depiction of Gotham City’s skyline is based on the opening credits from the classic ’90s cartoon. From a design perspective, this is one of the coolest and most intricate builds in the Lego DC Batman lineup, past or present. But you’ll want to make sure you have ample shelf or wall space ready before you begin piecing together this elaborate love letter to Batman’s best animated TV series. The completed Gotham City skyline measures 17 x 30 x 3 inches, including the large Batman: Animated Series logo above the skyline.

If you like building Lego sets cooperatively with a friend or family member, Gotham City’s large canvas sets up well for two people working simultaneously. Lego even includes two instruction booklets with this set.

Similar to the discontinued Lego Art Jim Lee Batman Collection, the Gotham City Skyline can be mounted to a wall or placed on a shelf. For shelf display, it has a flip-out stand to ensure it remains upright.

Though primarily a piece of artwork to admire with your eyes, the depth and layering of the buildings allowed Lego to incorporate neat interactive elements and some secrets. There are 15 removable panels that provide a glimpse inside of iconic locations across Gotham City, including Wayne Manor, the Batcave, and Arkham Asylum. A couple of panels hide small, buildable Batmobile and Batwing vehicles that can be removed and displayed separately.

You’ll even build small, removable Batmobile and Batwing vehicles. Illustrations of Batman’s confrontations with Catwoman, Joker, and Harley Quinn as well as other scenes are rendered behind some of the other panels. Fittingly, the set includes minifigures of those four characters based on their appearances from the show.

Lego DC Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City

If you want to watch Batman: The Animated Series while working on the Lego version of Gotham City, you can get the complete series on Blu-ray for cheap at Amazon and Walmart. Batman: The Complete Animated Series is available for $39 (was $80) right now. The DVD version of the series is on sale for $30 (was $60) at Walmart.

As mentioned, Walmart’s other major Batman Lego deal for Bricktember is a buildable Batman action figure and bike playset based on The Dark Knight. The Batman Construction Figure and Bat-Pod Lego set is down to $45 (was $65).

If you want to build a larger Lego Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series, check out the 435-piece Batman with Batmobile vs. Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze Lego set for $48 (was $60). The Batmobile comes with an information placard to attach to the vehicle’s rotating display stand. The three characters mentioned in the set’s name are included as minifigures.

Lego’s most recent DC Batman building set is the 909-piece Batman Forever Batmobile, which launched in August for $100.

On September 9, the Lego Batman lineup will expand once again with the release of the 2,953-piece Arkham Asylum display model for adults. A modular build with many different rooms, the Arkham Asylum set is pitched as both a traditional display model and a buildable holiday calendar. Lego DC Batman: Arkham Asylum is available to preorder for $300 and is exclusive to the Lego Store at launch.
