Hell Is Us Review – Devil In The Details

by admin September 1, 2025

If you’re bothered by a world map littered with quest icons or the thought of being shepherded through an adventure rather than unravelling it instinctually, the freedom that Hell is Us promises will immediately draw you in. It’s evident every time you boot up the game, with a tooltip reminding you that you’ll get no quest markers, no world map, and no hints as to where to go next while you explore its world. This promise is kept throughout its campaign, although how challenging this makes it overall is less impactful than you might think. Hell is Us definitely demands more of your attention for exploration than most other modern video games, but it’s also quite forgiving in how much information it litters around you to keep you subtly on track. Coupled with a brutal but captivating world and a combat system that’s more than meets the eye, Hell is Us is an engaging, albeit imperfect, attempt at defining a new type of action/adventure game.

Set in the fictional region of Hadea in the late 1900s, Hell is Us blends together the centuries-long mystery behind the appearance of ghostly monsters and the calamity that follows them, with an ongoing civil war that is tearing apart the land. Citizens of Hadea align behind two factions, the Palomists and the Sabinians, with decades of heritage and ongoing propaganda fueling gruesome war crimes and countless lives lost to bloodshed. It’s here where Hell is Us features its most striking, and upsetting, moments, routinely letting you come across acts of depravity that depict how the divides between people can drive them to commit acts of brutality. You’ll naturally come across shockingly violent scenes or hear about gruesome tortures through conversations, which give shape to the brutality of the civil war you’re in the middle of. It’s not played wholly for shock value, either, with these unsettling scenes providing needed texture to the region and the plights of the citizens desperately trying to escape.

As you explore the various hubs that you can freely travel between, you’ll encounter a variety of characters hoping for some help. A grieving father at a mass grave can find solace in a picture of his family that you retrieve for him, a trapped politician will thank you for finding them a disguise to navigate a hostile office space, or a lost young girl can be reminded of her missing father by a pair of shoes he asked for you to deliver before his death. These good deeds aren’t critical to the central story, but they deepen your connection to Hadea further with each one completed. They also do the best job of delivering on Hell is Us’ promise of guideless exploration, with subtle clues pointing you towards the items that each character seeks, whether it’s in the town you’re currently exploring or waiting for you in another location much later. It’s satisfying to recall a brief conversation you had hours prior when coming across a new item, letting you close the loop on a side quest you had all but abandoned.

This sense of discovery extends to the main plot, with solutions to puzzles often requiring some pause and thought in order to overcome them. They’re multi-staged too, turning spaces into small puzzle boxes reminiscent of games like Resident Evil. The clues can be anywhere, including small phrases mentioned in conversations, throwaway lines in emails, and on notes you’ll discover alongside critical items. It’s not as simple as finding a safe combination scribbled in blood a few rooms away, but it’s also not so gruelling that you’ll often find yourself directionless. You won’t receive hints as to where to go next, but the character and location summaries that are generated give enough of a nudge in the right direction to keep your progress steady. You can think of Hell is Us as an action game that borrows more from classic point-and-click adventures in its approach to exploration than other contemporaries in the genre, just without the overly obtuse puzzles and hours wandering around in circles.

As you peel away the current events transpiring in Hadea, you’ll start learning about the centuries of history that led to this point. It’s filled with monarchs and betrayal, missing heirs and star-crossed lovers, but none of it makes much of a lasting impression or fully justifies the horrors taking place because of these events. This is interwoven with the story of protagonist Rémi, who was born in Hadea before being smuggled out as a child by his mother. Returning to find his family, Rémi’s story and the secret protectors of Hadea that his family is tied to is uninteresting and rote, ultimately concluding with a predictable ending that does little to explain the interrogation you continually flashback to from the start. It’s a pity that while you get to witness Hadea at its worst, Rémi never really seems to remark meaningfully on what is happening around him. Voice actor Elias Toufexis, most recognizable as Adam Jensen in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, is disappointing as Rémi, with the alluring raspiness of his voice lost in weak dialogue and a monotone delivery.

The intersection of the real horrors of current-day Hadea and the mysticism of its past allows for its various hubs to stand out visually. Your journey starts in a small town resting in a swampy marsh, with smoke from the embers of a recent siege filling the air. It contrasts with the open fields you’ll find yourself in next, littered with old statues from past monarchs while hiding a labyrinthine catacombs beneath the surface fitted with archaic machinery and gloomy stone passageways. Hell is Us moves you between war-torn cities engulfed in smoke to underground laboratories that are etched into the walls of old religious sites, and none of it feels out of place. Unfortunately, your ability to move around these spaces is incredibly rigid, with the lack of a jump preventing you from scaling numerous waist-high obstacles between you and some loot. It feels egregious artificially in the context of Rémi being rather dexterous otherwise, and is clearly done to force puzzles to be solved in a specific way.

While the soldiers around you brandish assault rifles and roll around in tanks, you’ll be forced to contend with a variety of monochrome creatures, known as Hollow Walkers, using melee weapons exclusively. Hell is Us’ combat will look and feel a lot like many soulsborne titles. Attacks and dodges are tied to a stamina bar, whose total is defined by how much life you have left. It’s a confusing coupling that makes early encounters challenging, but one that is counterbalanced by the combat’s encouragement of aggression. Similar to Bloodborne, each hit claws back some life from enemies. Here, however, you can regain more health than what you’ve lost in a fight, letting you use enemies almost like healing items when you know you can dispatch them without taking damage. It’s a system that makes fights very dynamic, with just a few well-timed and reserved hits taking you from death’s door to fully healed up again. Snatching away victory like this is exhilarating, producing a similar sensation to defeating a tough boss in a soulsborne without having to mimic the steps it takes to get there.

Outside of basic and strong attacks with one of the four weapons you can choose between, combat is aided by a variety of special abilities to choose from. These are divided between equipable perks for your weapon and bird-like drones, each with their own cooldown timers to manage. Your drone provides support mostly, latching onto your back to give your dodges a little more speed and distance, or distracting an enemy to grant you an opening. Weapon abilities are more active. I gravitated to abilities that let me crowd control effectively, such as one that dealt damage to foes around me, or others that would do large amounts of burst damage to single enemies at a distance. The combat has some breadth, but the overall depth doesn’t really match it.

Abilities and enemy types are limited, with both relying on bigger damage numbers and new attacks at higher levels respectively to make up for the variety. The limited enemy pool is helped somewhat by the inclusion of husks–brightly colored foes that are tethered to some enemies and shield them from damage. Some of Hell is Us’ best fights feature a husk tied to multiple enemies at once, forcing you to dispatch it a handful of times as you pick away its hosts one by one. But these moments are undone by Hell is Us’ reliance on enemy count rather than evolving challenges to maintain difficulty in the latter stages of the campaign, which results in some frustrating encounters with cheap deaths. They also expose problems with the game’s finicky lock-on system and camera, with both struggling to accurately find their targets while you’re being swamped in dark, gloomy underground corridors.

The combat is more lenient than its inspirations, too. Enemies do respawn, but only if you travel away from your current location. Each area also contains a timeloop; a constantly recurring moment of intense trauma that also keeps enemies in the area respawning. By clearing out certain enemies around it, you can enter the timeloop and close it for good, ridding the area of enemies and allowing you to explore it in safety. You’ll come across datapads that allow you to save and set your respawn point should you die, but you don’t lose anything when you do, making it significantly less punishing. Difficulty levels also allow you to tune combat to your liking, an option that isn’t extended to exploration, so that you can focus on that instead if you’re finding going toe-to-toe with Hollow Walkers less engaging. All of this means that while combat in Hell is Us looks like a soulsborne, it differs from the genre more than you might expect.

While I was left dissatisfied by the narrative conclusion of Hell is Us, its journey to that point was pleasantly engaging. It was refreshing to not just follow a quest marker through a story, but also a relief that I was never spun around for hours on end wondering where I needed to go next. This balance is what made traversing Hadea and experiencing all the horrors it contained a rewarding one, making each new step feel earned rather than routine. It’s backed up by an imperfect but engaging combat system that’s only let down by some shallow enemy variety and imprecise control, but never to the point of outright frustration. If Hell is Us is developer Rogue Factor’s first stab at a new type of third-person action game and although it’s less revolutionary than the initial promise might suggest, it is one that still managed to stay surprising until the end.

Three Major XRP Ledger Upgrades Go Live: Details

by admin August 31, 2025

Three new amendments have been activated on the XRPL mainnet after a successful 14 day countdown timer in which they held 80% majority support.

In a tweet, XRP Ledger blockchain explorer XRPscan outlines these three amendments that have now been enabled on the XRP Ledger mainnet, including amendments fixAMMv1_3, fixEnforceNFTokenTrustlineV2 and fixPayChanCancelAfter.

With their activation, all rippled nodes running v2.4.0 and below risk being amendment blocked.

What’s new?

FixAMMv1_3 adds several fixes to Automated Market Maker code, specifically adding several invariant checks to ensure that AMMs function as designed. It also adds rounding to AMM deposits and withdraws to ensure that the AMM’s balance meets the invariant.

On the other hand, fixEnforceNFTokenTrustlineV2 fixes a bug where NFT transfer fees could bypass certain limitations on receiving tokens by preventing an NFT issuer from receiving fungible tokens as transfer fees if the issuer uses authorized trust lines and the NFT issuer’s trust line is not authorized. It also prevents an NFT issuer from receiving fungible tokens as transfer fees on a deep-frozen trust line. Without this amendment, NFT transfer fees could be paid to an NFT issuer, circumventing these restrictions.

You Might Also Like

FixPayChanCancelAfter amendment prevents new payment channels from being created with a “CancelAfter time” that is before the current ledger. Without this amendment, transactions can create a payment channel whose “CancelAfter time” is in the past. This payment channel is automatically removed as expired by the next transaction.

Yesterday, RippleX software engineer Mayukha Vadari hinted at a new spec drop that lays out the life cycle of an XRP Ledger Standards (XLS) process, clarifying categories of standards and establishing editorial responsibilities.

This proposal is inspired by Ethereum’s EIP-1 and adapts established standards processes to meet the unique needs of the XRPL ecosystem.

Ripple CTO on How XRP, RLUSD Drive Liquidity on AMM: Details

by admin August 30, 2025

In recent replies on social media X, Ripple CTO David Schwartz explains AMM liquidity pools in relation to the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin. This was in response to an X user who had sought clarification as regards the subject matter.

The pool holds half RLUSD and half XRP. The assumption of the pool is that LP token holders want to be long XRP and to profit from XRP volatility.

— David ‘JoelKatz’ Schwartz (@JoelKatz) August 30, 2025

Automated Market Maker (AMM) on XRP Ledger uses liquidity pools instead of traditional order books to facilitate trades. The AMM functionality was enabled with the amendment XLS-30D in March 2024.

You Might Also Like

The clawback amendment, which went live in January this year, enabled Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to be floated and traded directly on XRP Ledger’s DEX, boosting its liquidity and trading options and increasing decentralized finance (DeFi) activity on the XRPL network.

RLUSD AMM liquidity pool explained

According to Schwartz, the AMM liquidity pool holds a pile of RLUSD and XRP, each of roughly equal value. It also issues tokens that represent claims against the pool for a proportional share of its assets.

You Might Also Like

When the price of XRP goes down, the pool converts RLUSD to XRP to equalize the values; on the other hand, when XRP price goes up, the pool converts XRP to RLUSD for value equalization.

The aim is to always increase the value of the pool constant (the amount of RLUSD times the amount of XRP divided by the number of issued tokens outstanding) and never to allow it to decrease.

According to the Ripple CTO, the idea behind the AMM liquidity pool is that, regardless of whether XRP’s price takes a round trip, the value of each liquidity token would serve to maximize the pool constant.

The value of the liquidity tokens in the pool can also increase as individuals use the pool as a liquidity source to trade XRP for RLUSD and pay a spread. The Ripple CTO stated that while the tokens gain and lose value with changes in XRP’s price, it may be less significant than those experienced by holding only XRP.

In further responses, the Ripple CTO explained that since the liquidity pool holds half RLUSD and half XRP, the assumption is that the token holders want to be long on XRP and profit from its volatility.

NFL ‘Rivalries’ uniforms 2025: Breakdown of designs, debuts and details

by admin August 29, 2025

Some divisional matchups will mean just a little bit more this season as Nike and the league revealed eight new uniforms for the inaugural NFL “Rivalries” cohort Thursday.

Teams from the AFC East and NFC West will don special uniforms during a single home game against a division rival. The threads’ designs are “rooted extensively in the legacies and inspirations true to each team” and are meant to celebrate the storied rivalries.

“The unveiling of the first eight Rivalries club uniforms and fan gear marks a significant moment for the NFL, Nike and Fanatics, as creativity and innovation merge together to deliver a new take on what it means to be a rival,” Taryn Hutt, NFL vice president of club marketing, said in Thursday’s news release.

Elements of each uniform are unique to the city and team.

After this season, the threads will be in the team’s uniform rotation for three years alongside existing alternate looks. More rivalry uniforms are set to debut during the 2026 (AFC South and NFC North), 2027 (NFC East and AFC West) and 2028 seasons (AFC North and NFC South).

Here’s a breakdown of each uniform design, plus the date of its on-field debut, unique name and quotes from select teams.

On-field debut: Sept. 25 vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinals’ NFL Rivalries uniform includes a texture reminiscent of the sand and dust storms that often go through Arizona. NFL

With the Cardinals situated in a desert, it’s only fitting that their look is emblematic of the climate.

The all-white uniform has a texture meant to represent sand and dust storms that occur in the state. The number set and pant stripes include a metallic copper element, reflecting Arizona’s state metal. Copper is also the outline color for a reimagined state flag that appears on the sleeve patch and back neck.

Arizona’s jersey will be complemented with white pants.

Buffalo Bills: ‘Cold Front’

On-field debut: Oct. 5 vs. New England Patriots

The Bills embrace the ice and snow like no one else, and their NFL Rivalries uniform reflects that cold front. NFL

Snowy and icy conditions at home are very much a part of the Bills’ DNA, and their uniforms tap into those elements.

The icy all-white look has one of the neater design elements: A crystalized buffalo logo on the sleeve. Various textures and silver trims were used throughout the jersey for a frosty look. “Bills Mafia” receives a shoutout, with the two words stitched inside the back neck.

Similar to Arizona, Buffalo’s white jersey will be worn with white pants.

On-field debut: Nov. 16 vs. Seattle Seahawks

According to the news release, this specific swatch highlights “some of the colors and patterns surrounding them after the sun goes down.” NFL

The Rams have worn navy before — mostly when they resided in St. Louis — but never in this “midnight navy” form. According to the news release, this specific swatch highlights “some of the colors and patterns surrounding them after the sun goes down.”

In a nod to the uniform worn when the Rams won their first Super Bowl in Los Angeles, pops of yellow are featured on the cap sleeves and pant stripes. Perforated blue lights that shine throughout SoFi Stadium at night are included in those same locations as well as the white numbers. The team’s fan chant of “Rams House” is printed inside the back neck.

The Rams will wear similarly colored navy pants with the jerseys. READ MORE

On-field debut: Sept. 29 vs. New York Jets

The Dolphins’ new uniforms are meant to let the agility and quickness of the team shine through. NFL

The Dolphins boast two of the league’s fastest position players in wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back De’Von Achane. Their uniform design is a nod to their speed, with turbo green and orange stripes on the helmet, pant stripes and sleeves, mirroring the power and speed of dolphins in the water.

The dark-pitch blue threads include notes of orange accents and iridescent aqua. As with the Rams, the Dolphins’ fan rally cry — “Go Fins!” — is inside the back neck in orange.

Choosing the Jets matchup as their on-field debut is one rooted in history.

“The Jets have always been our biggest rival. They’re the team that, no matter what their record is, they’re always going to play us tough,” former Dolphins wide receiver Nat Moore said. “And with so many New Yorkers living in South Florida, the rivalry just feels that much more real.”

Dark-pitch blue pants complete the combination.

New England Patriots: ‘Nor’Easter’

On-field debut: Nov. 13 vs. New York Jets

The Patriots’ NFL Rivalries uniform includes nods to fans across the six states of New England: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. NFL

New England’s storm blue jersey is inspired by the region’s fog and pays homage to the six states that compose the region. Six red stars appear around the neckline as a reference to the states and to the six Super Bowls won by the Patriots.

Reflective silver stripes across the shoulders and along the pant sides represent beams of light that shine off the Gillette Stadium Lighthouse. Standing 218 feet tall and over 22 stories above the playing field, it is the tallest nontraditional lighthouse in the country.

The sleeve features a silver “NE” patch, and the neckline carries the iconic phrase “We Are All Patriots,” spoken by owner Robert Kraft following the Patriots’ Super Bowl XXXVI victory in the wake of 9/11.

In a nod to the Drew Bledsoe-era uniforms, perforated stripes and embroidery are on the number set.

“Patriots vs. Jets isn’t just another game on the schedule — it’s a battle of pride, history and two fan bases that want nothing more than to see the other side walk off the field disappointed,” said Andre Tippett, Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Patriots linebacker.

Silver pants will be worn with the jersey.

New York Jets: ‘Gotham City Football Club’

On-field debut: Dec. 7 vs. Miami Dolphins

The Jets’ NFL Rivalries uniform draws inspiration from the team’s original name, the Gotham City Football Club. NFL

The Jets’ nickname — the Gotham City Football Club — is the direct inspiration for their rivalry uniforms, according to the news release.

The dark Empire Green uniforms include black, green and gray trims throughout, built on a Joe Namath-era chassis. Textural graphs are featured on the cap sleeves and chest patch, a reference to the “grit and grind displayed by the Jets and spotted across New York City.”

Of course, Gothic font is used as the number set and with “Gotham City Football” written inside the back neck. The design includes green pants.

On-field debut: Jan. 4, 2026 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Designed against a bold black backdrop, the 49ers’ NFL Rivalries uniform steps back in time, honoring a club that is forever “Faithful to the Bay.” NFL

The 49ers underwent a brand refresh earlier in the offseason, tapping into the legacy of the franchise and the Bay Area. Their threads do the same, stepping back in time with familiar elements.

The all-black uniform boasts classic red stripes along the sleeves and down the sides of the pants. The number set has a classic saloon font etched in gold, which — similar to the gold throughout the design — is inspired by the Gold Rush era. “Faithful” is stitched above the numbers, while “Faithful to the Bay” is inside the back neck.

Seattle Seahawks: ‘High-Decibel Zone’

On-field debut: Dec. 18 vs. Los Angeles Rams

In a shoutout to their loud, passionate fans, The 12s, the Seahawks’ NFL Rivalries uniform taps into — and visually captures — the epic sounds of Seattle. NFL

Seattle has one of the most passionate and loud fan bases, nicknamed The 12s, and the new look taps into the sounds of Lumen Field.

A soundwave-inspired pattern is used down the pant stripes to create a ripple effect across the jersey’s shoulders. A “12” sits on the back of the neck, while “repeating 12s” are featured inside the numbers. The numbers also include a glow that is reminiscent of raindrops glistening on the city’s streets.

The light wolf gray background evokes Seattle’s city skyline. The Seahawks will pair the jersey with navy pants.

Former Crypto Trader Kidnapped and Strangled Near Paris: Details

by admin August 28, 2025

  • Police action
  • French crypto crime wave

According to a recent report by French media outlet Le Parisien, a former cryptocurrency trader named Alexander was recently kidnapped near Paris.

Around 11 p.m., the chief of police in Saint-Germain-en-Laye received a strange phone call from a caller in Algeria, who claimed that they received an extremely disturbing photo from the phone of the victim.

The photo showed Alexander held against his will on his knees with his hands tied.

The kidnappers were demanding a ransom of 10,000 euros for his release.

Police action

Night investigators from Yvelines swiftly open an emergency case. They immediately tried to geolocate Alexandre’s phone, which shows up in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

The anti-crime brigade (BAC) set up surveillance near Alexandre’s home in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, in case the kidnappers bring him back or drop him off.

The officers then recognized the victim at around 4:00 while he was walking home with a shocked and swollen face.

The victim was then taken to the police station, where he was examined by firefighters.

Alexandre later told the police that the kidnappers strangled him until he lost consciousness while being held captive.

French crypto crime wave

There have been some similar cryptocurrency-related crime incidents in France over the past months.

In January, Ledger co-founder David Balland and his partner ended up being updated, with Balland’s fingers being seared in capitavaity. The entrepreneur was then rescued by French elite forces.

In May, the father of a crypto entrepreneur was also kidnapped in broad daylight and had his finger severed before being rescued by the police. The police managed to rescue him.

During the same month, criminals tried to abduct the daughter of Paymium CEO Pierre Noizat.

Over 20 people have been arrested in connection with the crime wave. The most recent incident is currently being investigated by the police.

Ken Levine Shares Judas Key Art And Details About The Game’s Villains

by admin August 28, 2025

Judas was formally revealed during The Game Awards 2022 as the next game from BioShock creator Ken Levine and his studio, Ghost Story Games. Since then, the team has remained mostly silent, save for a gameplay trailer last year, on what it’s been up to with this sci-fi shooter (that looks a lot like BioShock). However, Levine took to the PlayStation Blog to share new details about the game’s Big 3, villainy system, and the Judas key art.

Taking inspiration from famed Star Wars poster illustrator Drew Struzan, the Judas key art features the protagonist up front and center, seemingly overshadowing what I think is a variant of her (presumably alluding to the way choices can affect the narrative of the game, though it could just be a totally different character), above the Big 3: Queen Nefertiti, Sheriff Tom Austin, and Hope Jimenez. Levine teases there’s more to glean from this key art, so I’ll leave you to it:

Alongside this key art, Levine has shared that Ghost Story Games has just finished a major milestone it calls “Villainy.” The director writes that villainy is a central feature of Judas, and that your actions will attract members of the Big 3 to you as friends, or turn them into foes. “When you play BioShock or BioShock Infinite, the villain is always going to be the villain,” Levine writes in the blog. “Fontaine, Comstock – they’re always going to be the bad guys. In Judas, your actions will attract members of the Big 3 to you as friends. But ignore one of them enough, and they become the villain. From there, they will get access to a new suite of powers to subvert your actions and goals.”

The included clip in the blog post shows a Rent-a-Deputy robotic horse, which can attack enemies for you once rented, turning against you at the hands of Big 3 member, Sheriff Tom Austin. Levine says this is just a small way a Big 3 friend-turned-foe can make your life on the Mayflower, the spaceship setting of Judas, harder.

In the blog, Levine continues, explaining Ghost Story Games wants players to get to know the Big 3 intimately, and wants losing one of them to feel like losing a friend. The Big 3 will be competing for your favor and attention through Judas – they can bribe you, save you in battle, badmouth the other two Big 3 members, and share with you their deepest secrets. But, as Levine points out, eventually, you have to decide who you trust and who you don’t… and that’s going to cause problems.

“In BioShock Infinite, there was a lot of energy invested into developing your relationship with Elizabeth,” Levine writes. “By the end of the game, you knew everything about her, her abilities, her hopes, and dreams. But the truth is she knew almost nothing about you, the gamer playing Booker. In Judas, the Big 3 observe you as you play, and they have feelings not only about how you approach combat, hacking, and crafting, but most importantly, your interactions with the other two characters.”

Unfortunately, today’s blog doesn’t include a release date or window for Judas as Ghost Story Games doesn’t want to say when its game will launch until it’s confident in a date it can hold. Considering Levine’s release track record, Judas could still be years away (but hopefully it isn’t).

In the meantime, watch the Judas reveal trailer, and then check out the Judas gameplay trailer shown last year. After that, read about what we want from BioShock 4, which isn’t being developed by Ken Levine but is in the works at newcomer studio Cloud Chamber.

What do you think of Judas’ Big 3 villainy system? Let us know in the comments below!

SharpLink’s ETH Holdings Top $3.5 Billion: Details

by admin August 26, 2025

  • Bitmine remains in first spot
  • Ethereum’s recovery

Ethereum treasury company SharpLink has purchased an additional 56,533 Ethereum (ETH) tokens, according to a Tuesday announcement.

The company now holds a total of $3.7 billion worth of ETH following the latter purchase.

Bitmine remains in first spot

SharpLink Gaming, which is spearheaded by Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin, is currently the largest corporate holder of ETH.

Tom Lee’s BitMine Immersion Technologies actually comes in first place with its total holdings reaching $7.7 billion.

Coinbase, Bit Digital, and ETHZilla are also in the top five by total holdings.

Ethereum’s recovery

This strong corporate adoption is likely the main reason why Ethereum (ETH) has recovered relatively fast.

According to CoinGecko data, the flagship altcoin is currently trading at $4,518 after plunging to the $4,300 level earlier today.

Details About the First iPhone Foldable Are Coming Into Focus

by admin August 26, 2025

We keep collecting more details about what Apple’s first foldable iPhone will look like when it launches in 2026. The latest information is pretty intriguing.

As reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the foldable is code-named “V68.” It will have four cameras and be available only in black-and-white variations. The device will also rely on Touch ID (not Face ID) and will not have a SIM card slot. The four cameras will consist of one on the front, two on the back, and one on the inside.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Don’t miss any of our unbiased tech content and lab-based reviews. Add CNET as a preferred Google source on Chrome.

The report collects the latest news about the Fold, Flip or whatever Apple calls its first foldable. We’ve already reported that the phone will cost nearly $2,000 and will be released as part of the iPhone 18 bonanza in September 2026. We have words of warning for Apple as it prepares to become the final major mobile player to jump into the foldable phone pool, with rivals Samsung and Huawei already having taken a big lead in the race.

Watch this: Apple’s Foldable iPhone Said to Use Samsung Parts

05:05

Moving beyond the iPhone ‘rectangle’

Jon Rettinger, a tech influencer with over 1.65 million YouTube subscribers, is enthused about Apple finally adding a new-look item to its product line.

“The beauty of Android has always been a variance of form factors,” Rettinger tells CNET. “You have flips, folds, even rolls now. On the Apple side of the fence, it’s just been, ‘What size rectangle do you want?’ I, for one, am beyond excited about the prospect of Apple diving into the foldable space.”

Rettinger admires the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, calling it “about as close to the perfect foldable as possible.” But he thinks that Apple can help disrupt the segment with its own version.

“Apple is entering a mature market with its first product. The tolerance for first-time issues, especially at an anticipated high price, will be extremely low,” he says. “However, if they ship a competitive product, I think they’ll have an absolute home run on their hands.”

Let’s bite into the details of the latest Apple iPhone foldable rumors. Bloomberg says Apple has changed course on the screen tech. The company is no longer going with on-cell touch sensors, which “can create air gaps between the screen and its cover” and thereby increase the visibility of a crease — one of the biggest pitfalls of foldable phones so far with all brands.

Instead, Apple will use an in-cell touchscreen, similar to what current iPhones use. The company believes this will enhance touch accuracy and reduce the visibility of the crease.

The report also says the iPhone foldable will utilize a C2 modem, Apple’s first cellular chip with “capabilities approaching the latest from Qualcomm.”

Like Rettinger, fellow influencer Austin Evans, who has 5.68 million YouTube subscribers, is also “really excited” about the iPhone foldable and is “curious about how Apple will differentiate,” Evans tells CNET.

“The biggest thing I’d like to see is for it to turn into an iPad mode when open,” Evans said. “Especially if they include Pencil support.”

XRP: It Was Dead Cat Bounce, Bitcoin Paints “Three Black Crows” Pattern: Details, Shiba Inu (SHIB): Last Chance for Price

The most recent price movement of XRP is more indicative of a traditional dead cat bounce than a long-term recovery. Momentum vanished nearly as fast as it had appeared, and the asset was unable to produce significant continuation after momentarily regaining ground above $3.00. It is now clear to traders who were anticipating a breakout that the rally was brief, leaving XRP vulnerable to additional declines. The weakness is clearly visible on the daily chart.

At first, the 100-day EMA supported XRP’s attempt to recover from the $2.80 support zone. But almost instantly, selling pressure returned to the 50-day EMA, where price action stalled. Because of the rejection, XRP is now trading below important moving averages, and the 26-day EMA is not offering any significant support. In the absence of a robust catalyst or fresh buying interest, the setup is strongly biased toward bearish continuation.

Volume supports the notion that there was little participation in the rally, because the rebound coincided with a drop in trading activity. In the absence of volume expansion, breakouts are rarely sustained. This dynamic demonstrates that the most recent upward push was not the beginning of a new bullish wave but rather a technical relief move.

Indicators of momentum like the RSI provide more proof. The RSI rapidly retreated after rising slightly during the bounce, indicating waning strength. Although it is currently trending lower and hovering around neutral territory, the indicator suggests that there may be fresh selling pressure coming soon.

There is currently a chance that XRP will retest the $2.75 support level, a break below which would allow for further declines toward $2.45. For XRP to regain its bullish momentum, it would require a clear move above $3.10 and consistent buying volume — neither of which appears likely at this time.

Bearish Bitcoin pattern

The classic Three Black Crows candlestick pattern has formed on the daily chart, giving Bitcoin’s price action a more bearish outlook. Three long red candles that close lower than the one before them indicate a strong bearish reversal, and this formation frequently comes before sustained downward momentum.

This change begs the question of whether Bitcoin’s recent push to its all-time high has already slowed. Conditions for Bitcoin remain favorable on a macro level. An environment that is typically favorable to riskier assets and liquidity expansion was made possible by Powell’s dovish stance and the anticipation of rate cuts in September. However, Bitcoin’s chart’s microstructure conveys a different message. The Three Black Crows indicate strong selling pressure and insufficient buying volume to offset it.

For short-term investors, this discrepancy between macro optimism and micro weakness may be a warning sign. The graph shows a clear breakdown from the $116,500 area, where Bitcoin was unable to recover the 50-day EMA. As a thin line of defense, the coin instead moved toward the 100-day EMA around $110,800. The next significant support is located around $104,000, which would indicate a more profound correction if this level were to give way.

The bearish scenario is further supported by volume as diminishing inflows imply that new money is not joining the market and that liquidity is still precarious. This means that even though the overall financial climate seems accommodating, Bitcoin is extremely susceptible to additional downside shocks. For the time being, traders of Bitcoin should keep a careful eye on the support zones at $110,800 and $104,000.

A robust recovery could reverse the bearish setup, but if these levels are not maintained the correction period could be prolonged. The Three Black Crows may be the most powerful confirmation to date that Bitcoin’s short-term momentum has clearly moved into bearish territory, even though the long-term fundamentals are still in place.

Shiba Inu’s symmetrical pattern

Shiba Inu is trading close to the lower edge of a symmetrical triangle pattern that has been forming for months, placing the company at another pivotal point. This pivotal level is crucial because a break below the rising support line might cause a precipitous decline in price, which might drive SHIB down to the $0.00001150 region or lower. Both bulls and bears have failed to take control of the market, as indicated by the symmetrical triangle. SHIB’s present position at the lower boundary, however, indicates that buyer strength is waning. The pattern will probably resolve to the downside and feed bearish sentiment if support breaks.

Lack of volume is among the most concerning signals. When there is a healthy breakout, whether it is bullish or bearish, trading activity typically spikes. Trading volume has been declining for SHIB, which suggests that investor interest is waning. The likelihood of a bullish breakout above the upper triangle resistance is low in the absence of significant inflows.

Momentum is also uninspired. The lack of strong buying conviction is reflected in the RSI’s downward trend, which is currently hovering around neutral territory. The indication suggests that there may be more weakness ahead, even though the market is not yet in oversold territory.

Bulls must vigorously defend the triangle’s lower boundary and drive the price back toward the $0.00001300-$0.00001400 range if they want SHIB to reverse the trend. A clear breakout above the upper resistance line, which is currently at around $0.00001450, would be necessary to validate a reversal and pave the way for higher levels.

SHIB’s time and space are running out because the symmetrical triangle pattern has become much smaller. The asset may see accelerated losses in the upcoming sessions if bulls do not act now.

XRP Price to Make Major Move in Next 10 Days: Details

by admin August 25, 2025

  • Indecisive market
  • Important price zone

The next 10 days may determine the short-term trajectory of XRP, which is nearing a pivotal point on the chart. A symmetrical triangle pattern, which is known to build pressure prior to a significant breakout or breakdown, has been the asset’s pattern of consolidation. Since the price of XRP is now just a few steps away from the peak, a spike in volatility is anticipated soon.

Indecisive market

The symmetrical triangle illustrates the market’s indecisiveness: although buyers and sellers are engaged in combat, neither side has been able to seize control. In the past, depending on overall momentum and market movements, assets that reach the apex of such a triangle frequently experience a sharp move, either upward or downward.

Right now, XRP is trading at about $2.95. Support is located close to $2.80, and the triangle’s upper resistance line limits rallies around $3.10. While a breakdown could force the price back to the $2.70 zone, or even the 200-day EMA if sentiment deteriorates, a breakout above resistance could swiftly move XRP back to the $3.30-$3.50 range.

At 49, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is in a neutral position, nearly in the middle. This supports the notion that XRP is in a waiting period before making a meaningful move, by indicating that the market is neither overbought nor oversold. However, volume has been steadily dropping, which is consistent with triangle consolidations, but also suggests that sustained breakouts will need high participation.

Important price zone

The 200-day EMA is still much lower, while the 50-day and 100-day EMAs are currently functioning as close dynamic supports. This emphasizes how crucial the $2.75-$2.80 zone is for bulls to defend.

Ten days remain until price action most likely hits the triangle’s apex, so investors should prepare for higher volatility. The state of the market as a whole will determine whether XRP breaks higher or lower, but the setup is obvious: a significant move is ahead.

Everyone’s attention is currently focused on the $3.10 resistance and the $2.80 support. XRP will finally start its next leg up once one of these levels breaks.
