BTC Spike Destroys Major Whale

According to data provided by Lookonchain, a massive whale was recently liquidated for $111 million worth of Bitcoin on the Hyperliquid platform.

The whale managed to secure a profit of $3.41 million with his enormous short. However, he ended up suffering a loss of $3.51 million after the price of the leading cryptocurrency recorded a massive spike.

On Monday, the trader opened a series of short positions when the cryptocurrency was hovering above the $101,000 level. His overleveraged short positions were then liquidated when the cryptocurrency was surging from $104,500 to roughly $106,000.

The world’s leading cryptocurrency is currently changing hands at $105,120, according to CoinGecko data. The cryptocurrency is up by 3.6%. Earlier today, it reached an intraday peak of $105,927.

Notably, Bitcoin is just 6% away from reclaiming its current all-time high of $111,814 that was achieved last month.

Tourist destroys priceless “Van Gogh” chair in museum by sitting on it

A tourist visiting the Palazzo Maffei museum in Verona has damaged a Swarovski crystal-covered sculpture modeled after Vincent van Gogh’s famous “Chair” painting.

The incident, which took place in April but surfaced publicly on June 16, was captured on CCTV. Footage shows a couple posing for a photo in front of Nicola Bolla’s artwork, titled Van Gogh’s Chair, when the man sits on the fragile piece, causing it to collapse. He then steadies himself against a wall before walking away. Museum staff were not present in the room at the time.

The sculpture, created in 2008, was constructed from metal and aluminum and covered with thousands of Swarovski crystals. It was part of a solo exhibition dedicated to Bolla’s work, presented alongside modern and contemporary art in the museum’s collection.

Palazzo Maffei described the incident as a “nightmare,” stating that the couple ignored “every rule of respect for art and culture.” The museum reported the damage to local police and launched a restoration effort to repair the sculpture. The artwork has since been restored and returned to display.

“For days we didn’t know if it would be possible to restore it. But we did it. We are sharing this episode not only for the record, but to start a real awareness campaign on the value of art and the respect it deserves.

“A heartfelt thanks goes to the police, our security department and the restorers, whose precious work allowed the work to be recovered […] Because art is not just to be seen. It is to be loved. It is to be protected.”

Museum director Vanessa Carlon said the visitors appeared to be seeking “the perfect photo,” adding that it highlights the challenges faced by museums and galleries housing fragile works without barriers.

Authorities have not released the names or nationality of the tourists involved.

IShowSpeed destroys Ashton Hall in four races as fitness influencer face plants

Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed obliterated fitness influencer Ashton Hall in a series of races after Hall promised to “embarrass” him.

IShowSpeed is one of the most athletic YouTubers out there, with the 20-year-old often showing off his ability to backflip, score goals in soccer, and, as his name implies, run really fast.

In fact, Speed came close to besting Olympic runner Noah Lyles in a 50-yard dash – something the YouTuber claims made “everyone” afraid to race him.

Enter Ashton Hall, a former NFL hopeful turned fitness influencer who went viral after unveiling his absurd morning routine.

On June 11, Hall showed up on Speed’s stream to race him… and it wasn’t even close.

On the way to the race, Hall had some fighting words for Speed, promising that he’d not only smoke the streamer, but he’d “embarrass him.”

“Your name IShowSpeed. This is gonna be bad for you, literally. I’m about to smoke him and talk crazy. I promise you.”

When Hall showed up on Speed’s stream, the YouTuber instantly started mocking him, joking that his muscles were “for show.”

“You’re about to get dusted,” Speed warned.

“I told you to back out,” Hall shot back, seemingly not knowing exactly who he was up against.

When the two eventually raced, it was a complete wash, with Speed winning easily as Hall face-planted on the ground, leaving his YouTube rival to win without much of a challenge.

Hall demanded a rematch and in round two, the fitness guru was able to stay on his feet. But he was no match for Speed, who pulled ahead and even put Hall on blast for calling him out.

If that wasn’t enough, Speed then proceeded to beat Hall for a third and fourth time, proving once and for all that he was faster.

Amazingly, Speed could be getting a huge upgrade to his quickness in the near future. In May, Jamaican sprinting star Usain Bolt offered to coach the content creator and improve his skills.

With Speed already fast as is, the boost from Usain Bolt could turn the YouTuber into an even bigger threat and possibly even capable of avenging his loss to Noah Lyles.
