Harry Potter Monopoly Is Nearly 50% Off In Amazon's Early Big Deal Days Sale
Game Updates

Harry Potter Monopoly Is Nearly 50% Off In Amazon’s Early Big Deal Days Sale

by admin October 4, 2025

This remixed take on the iconic board game features characters, locations, and artwork from the Harry Potter books and movies. It supports 2-6 players and is recommended for kids 8 and up. The six metal player tokens include the Hogwarts Express, Hagrid’s Motorbike, The Knight Bus, Hippogriff, Thestral, and Firebolt.

Harry Potter Monopoly retains the core premise and progression of the classic game with some Wizarding World-themed modifications. Instead of paper money, players vie for points for their Hogwarts House: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff.

As players make their way around the board, they can use House Points to acquire familiar locations from around Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade Village, Diagon Alley, and other notable spots such as Malfoy Manor and the Dursley home on Privet Drive. House Crests can be added to properties to increase rent. Hogwarts House Common Rooms serve as railroads, but surprisingly the jail isn’t named Azkaban.

Owl Post cards replace both Chance and Community Chest cards. Each card is designed to look like a letter sent from Hogwarts by owl. The cards are held on a custom stand with a Hedwig figurine.

Coinbase stock surges on Rothschild upgrade and Samsung deal

by admin October 4, 2025

Coinbase is riding a wave of positive momentum, with a Rothschild upgrade validating its financial evolution as a massive Samsung deal simultaneously places its services directly in the hands of tens of millions of new users.

Summary

  • Coinbase stock rose 2.59% to $381.80 after a Rothschild upgrade to Buy.
  • Rothschild says Coinbase’s business is shifting beyond retail fees, driven by institutional trading, USDC income, and its Base network.
  • Meanwhile, a landmark Samsung Wallet integration will embed Coinbase services on 75M Galaxy devices.

On Oct. 3, Coinbase Global, Inc. (COIN) shares gained more than 2%, a move catalyzed by a strategic “Buy” upgrade from financial institution Rothschild & Co. and the simultaneous announcement of a landmark integration with Samsung.

Notably, Rothschild’s revised outlook, which includes a $417 price target, hinges on Coinbase’s successful diversification beyond its core trading business, while the Samsung deal embeds its services directly into the native wallet of 75 million Galaxy devices in the U.S.

From upgrade to embed: what’s driving Coinbase’s momentum

Rothschild’s central thesis is that the market continues to value Coinbase as a direct reflection of Bitcoin’s price, overlooking a fundamental business model shift. The institution notes that retail transaction fees, which once constituted about 90% of revenue, are projected to fall to nearly 50% next year.

According to Rothschild, this rebalancing act is being fueled by faster growth in institutional trading, derivatives, and a suite of subscription and services revenue, including its lucrative share of income from the USDC stablecoin and its burgeoning Layer-2 network, Base. Rothschild acknowledges that fee compression is an industry reality but contends that rising overall volumes and deeper institutional penetration will more than compensate.

This optimistic view of Coinbase stands in stark contrast to Rothschild’s assessment of its peers, illustrating a clear preference for diversified platforms. The institution initiated coverage of Circle, the issuer of USDC, with a neutral rating. While acknowledging the stablecoin’s dominant $73 billion supply, Rothschild pointed out Circle’s heavy reliance on interest income from its reserves, a significant portion of which (over 60%) is paid out to distribution partners like Coinbase.

For Robinhood, the outlook was more dire, with a reiterated sell rating. The bank warned that its crypto economics remain overly cyclical and dependent on retail traders, leaving it vulnerable to fee pressure as the market matures.

The Samsung integration, announced Friday, serves as a tangible execution of this diversification and could be the largest single consumer distribution play in Coinbase’s history. The deal links Samsung Pay to Coinbase accounts, placing crypto trading and payment functionality alongside everyday tools like transit passes and digital keys, normalizing digital asset use for a massive, mainstream audience.

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus drops to only $29 in this Prime Day deal

by admin October 3, 2025

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus is on sale for just $29. That’s a discount of 27 percent and the lowest we’ve ever seen it.

Roku has held the top spot in the TV OS market for years thanks to its user-friendly interface, an affordable range of streaming devices and its own lineup of TVs. We picked the Streaming Stick Plus as the best streaming device for free and live content, thanks in large part to The Roku Channel app that accompanies it. The Roku Channel features over 500 free TV channels with live news, sports coverage and a rotating lineup of TV shows and movies.

Roku

In our hands-on review of the Roku Streaming Stick Plus, we thought it was perfect for travel thanks to its small size and the fact that it can be powered by your TV’s USB port, nixing the need for a wall adapter. Menu navigation and opening or closing apps won’t happen at quite the same speeds as more expensive streamers, but it’s quick enough for what is ultimately a pretty low-cost option. The Wi-Fi range on this one is also weaker than Roku’s pricier devices, but unless you are placing it exceedingly far from your router, it shouldn’t be an issue.

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus supports both HD and 4K TVs, as well as HDR10+ content. It doesn’t support Dolby Vision, however; for that you’ll need to upgrade to Roku’s Streaming Stick 4K or Roku Ultra. It comes with Roku’s rechargeable voice remote with push-to-talk voice controls. Roku’s remote can also turn on your TV and adjust the volume while you’re watching.

If you’ve been thinking about getting a Roku device, or you already love the platform and want a compact and convenient way to take it with you when you travel, then this sale provides a great opportunity. If you’d prefer a more powerful and slightly more stationary device, the Roku Ultra is on sale for $79 right now, too.

NBCUniversal’s new YouTube TV deal includes some shows on YouTube

by admin October 3, 2025

They didn’t reveal the dollars involved, but a press release mentions that it includes an agreement for some full TV shows, clips, and highlights on regular YouTube, as well as confirming the relaunch of NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) after it shut down four years ago.

“We’ve secured long-term access to our full portfolio of broadcast and cable networks on YouTube TV, and we’re advancing our Peacock strategy with an upcoming launch on YouTube Primetime Channels and ongoing presence on Google TV,” said NBCUniversal exec Matt Schnaars.

The details revealed today are:

As Awful Announcing points out, while NBCUniversal has been snapping up sports broadcast rights for Peacock, relaunching the NBCSN channel to put it in subscription packages could let it make money from people who don’t sign up for Peacock after it spins off its other cable networks with Versant.

Lego Brick-Built Star Wars Logo Gets First Price Cut Before Prime Big Deal Days

by admin October 3, 2025

A large selection of Star Wars Lego sets are on sale ahead of next week’s Prime Big Deal Days sale. Amazon’s deals include a bunch of new Star Wars building sets released over the past few months. Arguably the most notable recent model on sale is the Brick-Built Star Wars Logo. The 700-piece replica display model was already a budget-friendly option at its $60 MSRP, but now it’s on sale for only $50. The Brick-Built Logo is one of several Star Wars Day 2025 Lego sets up for grabs for below MSRP.

$50 (was $60)

The Brick-Built Star Wars Logo accurately depicts the legendary design that dates back to Star Wars: A New Hope’s 1977 theatrical release. Exposed studs between the letters add depth and make it clear that this is a Lego set. The rounded edges of the logo are cleverly recreated with a variety of yellow pieces. There’s an Easter Egg hidden inside the letter T that pays homage to Episode IV.

The completed 700-piece model measures 5 x 11.5 x 1 inches. If you’re looking for a Star Wars model to serve as a centerpiece for your display shelf, it probably doesn’t get any more ideal than the series logo constructed from Lego.

The Brick-Built Star Wars Logo launched a few months after the 913-piece Lego Marvel Logo set. That one has yet to be discounted from its $100 price, and it comes with five Marvel minifigures that pop out by pressing buttons on the model.

Amazon & Walmart Deals: New Lego Star Wars Sets

Lego Star Wars: Rebel U-Wing Starfighter | Jango Fett’s Starship

Other Star Wars Day 2025 sets with discounts include the Rebel U-Wing Starfighter and Jango Fett’s Starship for $60 (was $70) each. Jango Fett’s Helmet, another Star Wars Day release, is $65 (was $70). Two Walmart-exclusive Star Wars Day sets, Kylo Ren’s Helmet and his Command Shuttle, are available in a bundle together for $98 (was $140). Walmart also has the Darth Maul Mech bundled with the Sith Infiltrator for $62 (was $88). The Darth Maul Mech launched in June. Both of those are makeshift bundles, but Walmart also has an official Lego Star Wars 3-in-1 Gift Set Bundle for $45.

Amazon also has a few sets that launched over the summer for below MSRP. The Battle Droid with STAP 1,088-piece model is $130 (was $140). Meanwhile, The Clone Wars V-19 Torrent Starfighter, which launched in August, is down to $52 (was $65). And if you haven’t picked up your 2025 holiday calendar, the new Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar is on sale for $38 (was $45).

Lego is retiring a bunch of Star Wars Lego sets soon, including ultra-popular display models like Darth Vader’s Helmet. Check out our roundup collecting all of the deals on Lego Star Wars sets that won’t be around for much longer.

Canaan Shares Soar 26% After 50,000-Rig Bitcoin Mining Deal

by admin October 3, 2025

Canaan Inc. stock jumped more than 26% in early trading Thursday after the crypto mining hardware maker secured its largest sale in over three years. The Nasdaq-listed company announced that a U.S.-based buyer ordered 50,000 units of its latest-generation Avalon A15 Pro rigs, though the client’s name was not disclosed.

In an official release, CEO Nangeng Zhang said the deal reflects both companies’ “confidence in the long-term growth of bitcoin mining and the market’s demand for highly efficient, next-generation infrastructure.”

At the time of writing, Canaan shares traded at $1.32, up 26.92% for the day, according to Google Finance. The stock has gained more than 83% over the past one month, despite being down 35% year-to-date.

Bitcoin mining faces rising challenges

The sale comes as the Bitcoin mining industry grows increasingly competitive. The United States, home to 36% of the global Bitcoin hashrate, remains the world’s largest mining hub, according to Hashrate Index.

Bitcoin mining involves the use of computing power to authenticate transactions and insert new blocks into the blockchain. Bitcoin is being minted and given to miners as a reward, although the task is becoming more challenging.

Mining difficulty, which adjusts every two weeks, recently hit 150.84 trillion, the highest ever recorded, according to Coinwarz. This rising difficulty has made mining more expensive and forced smaller players to exit the market.

The growing challenge has already forced some players out. In June, Bit Digital shut down its Bitcoin mining business to focus on Ethereum, warning the industry may not survive future halvings.

In the meantime, giant publicly-traded miners such as Marathon Digital (MARA), Iris Energy (IREN), Cango, and CleanSpark are gaining market share, and together they control close to 20% of the block rewards in July, according to a TheMinerMag report. But even lone miners occasionally get a fortune, two individual miners this year having each won prizes worth more than $350,000.

Canaan’s mega sale highlights ongoing demand for advanced mining equipment, even as the industry faces rising costs and tougher competition. While institutional miners continue to dominate, small players make a profit and keep Bitcoin mining difficult and dynamic.

This early Prime Day deal has MSI’s gorgeous 34-inch curved ultrawide QD-OLED gaming monitor dropping to $649 at Amazon

by admin October 3, 2025

If you want to view the output from your PC and its accompanying graphics card in fine detail, then you need to splash out on a quality monitor. Depending on your priority, whether it’s working on photo imagery or video, or for pure gaming, you go for the specs that suit your use case the best. In some of these early Amazon Prime Big Deals Day deals, there are some great discounts on popular monitor brands. Today, we have a deal on one of MSI’s fantastic QD-OLED gaming monitors, which will make your games pop, with inky blacks and eye-popping colors.

The MSI MAG 341CQP gaming monitor is on sale for $649 at Amazon, one of its lowest prices in recent history. With its large 34-inch ultrawide display and impressive specifications, this is a luxury gaming monitor for serious gamers who want to experience the best visuals on a QD-OLED panel. This monitor deal is also available directly from MSI, should they sell out quickly on Amazon.

The MAG 341CQP spans 34 inches diagonally and features a QD-OLED panel with an 1800R curvature to wrap around the periphery of your vision. It has an original list price of $899.99, but prices have fluctuated between an all-time low of $575.99 in November 2024, to $780 in May of this year (according to CamelCamelCamel). Currently, it’s discounted to a much more palatable price in this deal.

The MSI MAG 341CQP’s display features support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, handy for reducing screen tearing and frame refresh rate issues. The large 34-inch screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio and sharp 3440×1440 (UWQHD) pixel resolution. The refresh rate can go up to 175Hz. A QD-OLED panel means not only excellent contrast, but also super-low response times of around 0.03ms.

It also supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 and has a good selection of ports for video input. You can take advantage of two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4a port. It also works as a USB hub, with a built-in KVM. Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-B port, and a Type-C port with 15W charging. A 3.5mm audio jack is also included.

The monitor comes with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty from MSI, including coverage for OLED burn-in.

Prime Big Deal Days Kindle Sale: Save Up To $230 On The Kindle Scribe

by admin October 3, 2025

A bunch of Amazon devices are already discounted to official Prime Big Deal Days 2025 prices, including Amazon’s priciest ereader in the ubiquitous Kindle lineup. The Kindle Scribe with Amazon’s Premium Pen is on sale for $100 off for a limited time. You can save even more by opting for the Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle, which includes the Premium Pen, Fabric Folio case, and power adapter. The 16GB Essentials Bundle is on sale for $315 (was $480). Alternatively, you can get the Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle with a Leather Folio case for $337 (was $500).

The standalone edition and the Leather Folio Essentials Bundles are eligible for Amazon’s awesome trade-in deal that saves you an additional 20% plus the value of the device you trade. With the 20% bonus discount from the trade-in, you will save at least $230 on the Essentials Bundle with Leather Folio. The bundle deals are exclusive to Prime members, but all shoppers can save $100 on the standalone Kindle Scribe and take advantage of the trade-in deal.

The 2024 edition of the Kindle Scribe won’t be the priciest model in the lineup for long. Earlier this week, Amazon revealed the next iteration for the hybrid ereader and note-taking device. Most notably, the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft will be the first in the series with color e-ink and retails for $630. The regular Kindle Scribe 2025 edition will start at $500 for a 32GB model with a front light. Both models are scheduled to launch before the end of the year. A Kindle Scribe without a front light will release early next year for $430.

Amazon says the new Kindle Scribe is thinner and faster than existing models. The 2025 editions also have 11-inch screens, making them slightly larger than the 10.2-inch models sold now. If you don’t want to spend $500 on a Kindle but are interested in the Scribe, the 2024 edition is a great device that happens to be $200 cheaper than the upcoming version.

$315 (was $480)

The Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle comes with Amazon’s Premium Pen ($80 value), the official Fabric Folio Cover ($60 value) or Leather Folio ($80 value), and a 9W power adapter for Amazon devices ($20 value). You can choose between Black, Denim, and Rose colors for the cover, while the tablet itself is Tungsten. The cover protects the screen and includes a built-in stand with multiple viewing angles.

All three storage configurations are eligible for the Prime Day deal: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Each tier is separated by only $10-$20, so if you plan on using your Kindle Scribe to store and listen to audiobooks via Audible, you may want to opt for 32GB or 64GB model.

  • Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle (Fabric Folio)
  • Kindle Scribe Essentials Bundle (Leather Folio)
    • 16GB — $337 ($500) | $269.60 with trade-in
    • 32GB — $347 ($520) | $277.60 with trade-in
    • 64GB — $372 ($550) | $297.60 with trade-in

The Kindle Scribe has a 10.2-inch front-lit display with anti-glare coating, so you can read in any lighting setting. With 300ppi (pixels per inch) and 94 nits of brightness, text is crisp and clear.

The Scribe doubles as a physical notebook. With the Premium Pen, you can create handwritten notes and email them to other devices. It feels remarkably similar to writing on actual paper. You can also take notes in books and documents you’re reading. If you like writing in the margins of novels, the Scribe is the ereader for you.

Interestingly, the bundles with plant-based leather folio are eligible for Amazon’s trade-in promotion, which we’ve detailed below.

$300 (was $400) | Additional 20% off with eligible trade-in

The standalone Kindle Scribe is also eligible for an additional 20% discount when you trade in a device. Your old Kindle is the obvious choice, but Amazon also accepts other devices, including Fire tablets, Fire TV Sticks, and even some Apple products.

With a trade-in, you’ll get the value of that device and an additional 20% discount on your new purchase. That’s a substantial savings. Trade-in values vary considerably, but the extra 20% is automatically worth $60-$68 for the standalone edition. The new prices below don’t factor in the value of your trade-in, which will be subtracted from the $240, $252, or $272 prices.

If you take advantage of the Kindle Scribe deal and have never tried Kindle Unlimited, you can get your first three months for free, which grants access to a library of over 4 million books, comics, graphic novels, manga, and more.

Some Kindle Unlimited titles also include audiobook versions that can be listened to on your Kindle. But for even more audiobooks, you’ll want to check out Audible Premium Plus, especially since the $15/month subscription program is free for your first three months, too. With Audible Premium Plus, you’ll be able to claim and keep one audiobook of your choosing. New releases and even preorders are eligible, so Prime members shouldn’t miss out on this offer.

Amazon is already offering steep discounts on Kindle ebooks ahead of the July 8-11 sales event, so you can pair your new ereader with some cheap books.

And if you plan on listening to audiobooks on the Kindle Scribe, Amazon’s Echo Buds with active noise cancellation are on sale for only $45, down from $140. These Bluetooth earbuds can sync wirelessly with Kindle ereaders as well as other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Avalanche Treasury Co. Coming With Foundation Support via $675 Million SPAC Deal

by admin October 2, 2025

In brief

  • Avalanche Treasury Co. is merging with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp. in a $675 million deal, targeting a Nasdaq listing in Q1 2026 with $460 million in treasury assets.
  • An exclusive Avalanche Foundation partnership includes a $200 million initial AVAX purchase at a discount, offering investors 23% savings versus direct purchases.
  • The firm’s goal is to amass $1 billion in AVAX and actively drive ecosystem growth through protocol investments and enterprise partnerships.

A new treasury company is spinning up with the goal of amassing a significant amount of Avalanche cryptocurrency, with support from the Avalanche Foundation.

Avalanche Treasury Co. has announced a definitive business combination agreement with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: MLAC), creating a publicly traded company focused on institutional AVAX exposure.

The transaction is valued at over $675 million and includes approximately $460 million in treasury assets, the companies said, with an expected Nasdaq listing for the combined company in Q1 2026.

Boasting an “exclusive relationship” with the Avalanche Foundation—the entity that supports development and adoption of the layer-1 Avalanche blockchain network—the treasury will debut with an initial $200 million AVAX token purchase at a discounted price, plus an 18-month priority on Avalanche Foundation token sales to U.S. treasury firms.

According to the firm, it will offer investors entry at 0.77x net asset value—a 23% discount compared to direct AVAX purchases or passive ETF alternatives.

The company’s strategy centers on three pillars: targeted protocol investments to drive adoption, partnership activation with enterprises building blockchain infrastructure for real-world assets and payments, and direct support for institutional Avalanche L1 network launches.

Avalanche Treasury Co. aims to accumulate over $1 billion worth of AVAX following its IPO. AVAT frames its mission as serving as a “growth engine” for the Avalanche ecosystem, actively deploying capital to accelerate network development rather than simply holding tokens passively.

The firm’s leadership includes CEO Bart Smith, a Wall Street veteran from Susquehanna International Group and AllianceBernstein, alongside COO Laine Litman and Chief Strategy Officer Budd White. Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer will serve as strategic advisor, while Chief Business Officer John Nahas is joining the board.

Avalanche Treasury’s advisory board features prominent crypto figures including Haseeb Qureshi (Dragonfly Capital), Jason Yanowitz (Blockworks), and Stani Kulechov (Aave). The transaction has attracted investors including Dragonfly, ParaFi Capital, VanEck, Galaxy Digital, Pantera Capital, and Kraken, among others.

In September, Bitcoin miner AgriFORCE announced a pivot towards Avalanche with plans to raise approximately $550 million to start stockpiling AVAX. The firm’s stock spiked 200% soon after the announcement but has since shed much of those gains, with the stock showing a 48% gain over the past month.

AVAX is down about 1% on the day to $30.23 and trading roughly flat on the week, even as assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana post substantial gains.
