Our favorite Levoit air purifier is $37 off in this early Prime Day deal

by admin June 22, 2025

We now know that the 2025 edition of Amazon’s blockbuster Prime Day sales event will start on July 8, and it’s set to be bigger than ever as it will run for four days. But you don’t need to wait until then for tasty deals. There will be plenty in the lead up to the event, including this one for the Levoit Core 400S air purifier. At $183, the device is $37 off. It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve seen for this model. However, it’s not too far off that mark of $176.

The Levoit Core 400S is our current pick for the best air purifier overall. Sure, it might not have the prettiest design of all the options we have tested and the companion app might have a little too much going on. But the Core 400S does its job and does it well.

Levoit

The Levoit Core 400S has dropped down to $183, which is almost a record-low price.

$183 at Amazon

This smart air purifier is slated to clean the atmosphere in spaces of up to 1,733 square feet in as little as one hour. The Core 400S has a cylindrical shape with vents at the top and a touch display that shows air quality readings. You’ll be able to get a sense of the current air quality in your space at a glance with a color-changing ring that will light up in blue, green, orange or red. The 360-degree filtration system is said to be capable of capturing over 99.9 percent of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, such as dust, pet dander and pollen.

There is an auto mode that should suffice for maintaining air quality, but the Core 400S is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant voice controls too. The fan isn’t too loud, even when it’s operating at maximum speed — the volume topped out at 62dB in our testing. Meanwhile, at $50 each, the air filter replacements aren’t too expensive compared with those from many of Levoit’s competitors.

$73 Million Ethereum In One Day, What Happened?

by admin June 22, 2025

  • Ethereum ETFs see outflows
  • Ethereum Golden Cross confirmed?

A major Ethereum whale has made headlines after investing $73 million into ETH, defying the ongoing market downturn.

According to blockchain data provided by Lookonchain, wallet address 0xd8d0, which previously profited over $30 million from Ethereum, has once again entered the market, acquiring 30,000 ETH during the recent price dip.

Since June 11, the whale has spent approximately 295 million USDC to accumulate a total of 115,465 ETH at an average price of $2,555. However, with Ethereum currently trading at $2,444.91 (a 4.14% decline in the past 24 hours), the whale is temporarily down around $15 million.

Ethereum ETFs see outflows

While whales are buying the dip, Ethereum ETFs are showing signs of strain. On June 20, Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded $11 million in net outflows, marking the second such event this month, according to data from Farside. Earlier, on June 13, Ethereum ETFs also experienced $3 million in outflows.

You Might Also Like

This contrasts sharply with recent bullish behavior from institutional investors, particularly BlackRock. On June 12, the asset management giant added over $160 million worth of ETH to its holdings, marking the largest daily ETF inflow since February 5, 2025, when it purchased $274 million in Ethereum.

Despite this, BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF (ETHA) just saw its first outflow since May 7 (over $19 million) after selling 8,140 ETH. The fund’s total ETH holding remains substantial at 1.677 million ETH, indicating continued long-term confidence despite short-term repositioning.

Ethereum Golden Cross confirmed?

Technically, Ethereum’s price action is showing promising signs. ETH has recently bounced from the $2,450–$2,475 range—a critical confluence zone where the 50-day and 200-day moving averages intersect.

This crossover has triggered what traders recognize as a “Golden Cross,” a bullish signal that typically indicates a shift in long-term momentum. Following this setup, Ethereum briefly surged above $2,540, signaling renewed buyer interest and increasing confidence among market participants.

In summary, while ETF outflows and price volatility suggest caution, whale activity and technical indicators like the Golden Cross are aligning to support a potential bullish phase for Ethereum.

Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma Earth Dancer Edition Restocked On Launch Day

by admin June 21, 2025

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma’s Earth Dancer Edition is back in stock on launch day at Best Buy and GameStop. Though the standard edition released on June 5 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 as originally planned, production issues caused the Earth Dancer Edition to be delayed by two weeks to June 20. The $100 edition has been sold out everywhere for more than a month, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Best Buy and GameStop sell out of copies again. Nintendo Switch 2 players who buy the Earth Dancer Edition can buy a $10 upgrade from the eShop.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma – Earth Dancer Limited Edition:

Updated on June 20

$100 | Restocked on June 20

The $100 Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma – Earth Dancer Limited Edition includes the physical edition for Nintendo Switch–the full game is on the card–and the following extras:

  • Woolby character plush keychain
  • 140-plus page art book
  • Official soundtrack on CD
  • Traditional Japanese folding fan
  • Seasons of Love DLC bundle with extra downloadable Woolby Costumes
  • Custom box with unique cover art
  • In-game content as DLC:
    • Festive Attire & Dark Woolby Bundle
    • Seasons of Love Bundle
    • Rune Factory 4 Outfit Bundle
    • Useful Item Bundle

The Earth Dancer Edition isn’t available for Switch 2, but you can pay a $10 fee on the eShop to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version.

The production/shipping issues for the Earth Dancer Edition caused it to sell out at all major retailers well before Guardians of Azuma’s launch. As mentioned, Best Buy and GameStop are the only major retailers with copies available on launch day (June 20). It remains sold out at Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

$60

If you only want a physical copy of the base game, the Switch version of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is in stock for $60 at Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.

$69

The Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition of Guardians of Azuma is available for $69 at Amazon, Walmart and Target. Unlike many third-party releases on Switch 2, Guardians of Azuma is a true physical edition–the game is fully stored on the cartridge.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma – Earth Dancer Limited Edition

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma has been a hit with both critics and fans. It currently holds a Metascore of 81 on review aggregator Metacritic (a GameSpot sister site). Guardians of Azuma has a user review average of 80, and the PC version currently sits at “Very Positive” based on more than 1,400 customer reviews.

The new entry takes the RPG-meets-farming-sim formula to new heights. Set in Azuma–a fantasy world inspired by Japanese folklore–the game places players in the role of a magical martial artist known as an Earth Dancer. You embark on a journey to restore the land by building farms, repairing villages, and completing RPG-style quests where you’ll square off against bosses with magical swords imbued with elements.

Rune Factory 3 Special – Golden Memories Limited Edition

If you’re interested in Guardians of Azuma and haven’t played all of the previous entries in the franchise, you’re in luck, because there are three great Rune Factory games on Nintendo Switch already. Rune Factory 5 is the most recent numbered game in the franchise, but remastered versions of Rune Factory 3 and 4 are also worth checking out. Rune Factory 3 originally released on Nintendo DS in 2010, while Rune Factory 4 first appeared on 3DS in 2013. You can get all three for cheap at Amazon. You can even still get Rune Factory 3’s Golden Memories Limited Edition for less than retail price.

Rematch surpasses 1 million players in its first day of full release

by admin June 21, 2025

Sloclap’s 5v5 soccer game Rematch came out strong yesterday, racking up nearly 93,000 concurrent players on Steam alone—impressive by any measure, and particularly so for a Thursday afternoon. Today the studio put an even bigger number on the scoreboard, saying Rematch pulled in a million players in its first day of full release.

“One million unique players in 24 hours,” Sloclap wrote on X. “Seeing so many of you jump into Rematch on day one is incredible.

“The whole team is super grateful! And already hard at work on fixing and improving the game. We are just getting started.”

Related articles

That isn’t straight-up sales, to be clear: Rematch is available on Game Pass, and a large number of those players could be coming from that direction. Even so, it’s putting up strong numbers on Steam as well: More than 83,000 people are currently playing it there, according to SteamDB, and I would expect that number to climb even higher over the weekend.

Shortly after that message was posted, a small update for Rematch rolled out on Steam aimed at reducing crash issues, improving stability and performance, and fixing a desync problem caused by the ball hitting the goalpost.

In a separate message, however, Sloclap said some players are still having problems, and asked for further feedback, either in a reply on X or, better, via a bug report form.

The patch does not, unfortunately, address Rematch’s absence of crossplay. Sloclap is working on it, but wasn’t able to have it ready in time for release because of “unforeseen technical complexities.”

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

The studio said yesterday that it has a “basic working version [of crossplay] from a technical standpoint, but we need to implement the relevant interfaces, before debugging and polishing it, and finally passing console certifications successfully.” It said it would share a more detailed timeline for the rollout of Rematch crossplay as soon as possible.

The patch notes from today’s hotfix, taking Rematch to version 1.200.005, are below.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where the ball would hit the goalposts and become entirely out of sync for all players.
  • Ball sync issues might still happen under other circumstances.

Network / Performances

  • Pushed a fix to reduce the frequency of crashes occurring after scoring a goal on all platforms.
  • Various fixes for stability issues.
  • Various netcode improvements.
  • Updates to matchmaking to further improve queue times.

Jon Bernthal's Punisher Will Hit the Big Screen in 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Will Hit the Big Screen in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

by admin June 21, 2025

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is starting to take shape at last with a key bit of casting news. Destin Daniel Cretton’s summer 2026 release—the fourth entry in the series centered around Tom Holland’s Spider-Man—has just added Jon Bernthal’s Punisher into the mix.

The Hollywood Reporter shared the news, and notes filming is set to begin this summer in England.

Bernthal’s character addition is some of the first news fans can grasp onto, as the rest of Brand New Day hasn’t shaken many plot details loose. We know Zendaya will be back as MJ, as will Jacob Batalan as Ned, but considering that mass memory wipe at the end of 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home—Peter Parker’s sacrifice to preserve the fragile multiverse—it’s unclear how much they’ll factor into the story.

We also don’t know which villains might pop up, or how the Punisher will fit into all of this. THR suggests the character could signal No Way Home will take a more “grounded” approach, but there’s no telling what plans Marvel has for him or Spider-Man, for that matter. The title obviously suggests a clean slate and a new start, so anything could theoretically be possible.

What are your thoughts on the Punisher teaming up with Spidey? Spider-Man: Brand New Day thwips into theaters July 31, 2026.

GOG says it won’t repeat its ill-fated Daggerfall GOG Cut with its new one-click modding program, not least because it can send more than one message a day to modders now

by admin June 20, 2025

Remember the Daggerfall Unity GOG Cut? Odds are you don’t. It was, in essence, a pre-modded version of The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, in the excellent fan-made Daggerfall Unity engine reimplementation. The idea was that if you wanted to play Daggerfall but didn’t want to go through the rigamarole of modding it into modernity, you could just download the GOG Cut and be on your way.

But there were issues. It quickly became outdated as the mods it included got new updates that GOG didn’t wrap into the GOG Cut, and even if it had kept everything on its latest version, some of the included mods just didn’t quite mesh. It wasn’t the best way to play Daggerfall in the 2020s, and ended up delisted from GOG’s storefront earlier this year after languishing there since 2022.

But GOG is taking another crack at modding with its one-click mods program, which will let you install stuff like Skyblivion, HoMM 3: Horn of the Abyss, and other meaty mod projects much like you install any other game on the platform. As it begins to flex its fan-content muscles, it says its learnt a lot from the DF GOG Cut experience.

Related articles

“In this case, usually, for the mods it will be on them [to keep mods up-to-date],” says GOG’s Rudy de Marco. “They will have more access than previously, because at the end of the day it will be easier for everyone to trust them to actually update their stuff whenever they want, right? So that’s how we plan to go.”

So, presuming mod authors keep on top of their updates, we shouldn’t run into yet another scenario where mods on GOG end up woefully outdated compared to their counterparts on sites like Nexus Mods. It’s not a free-for-all, though: GOG of course has to approve which mods it hosts on its service, and de Marco tells me that the store does “give heads up” to studios whose games are being modded on the platform. “It’s for us, but for the mod creators as well, right? There are stories in the past where mods could have been shut down completely for a specific franchise, and it’s not something where we want to put anyone at risk… We are kind of a middleman to make sure that everything’s okay.”

I get the impression that GOG’s come quite a way from the first days of the DF GOG Cut. Which, you know, you’d certainly hope is the case. In our chat, de Marco told me that assembling the DF GOG Cut was so ramshackle that “Our main person in charge of [the GOG Cut] did not have a premium account on Nexus, so he could send one message a day to people that weren’t his friend.” Kind of made securing all the necessary permissions for mod authors a bit hard.

I’m interested to see where GOG goes with modding. The whole scene has hit interesting times in the wake of the departure of the 24-year head of Nexus Mods, with some users fearing the site’s new owners might put the stalwart platform on a path to enshittification. Perhaps we’re due a shake-up in the mod-hosting scene. Perhaps GOG is well-placed to take advantage of it. It probably has a premium account by this point.

Richards saves the day for the USMNT, but questions remain

by admin June 20, 2025

AUSTIN, Texas — The first half was a brutal watch for those sitting in the stands at a half-full Q2 Stadium. Battling with a stiflingly humid 96-degree evening, the U.S. men’s national team were locked at 0-0 against an organized Saudi Arabia team in their second Gold Cup group stage match.

Sluggish, lackluster, and lacking any dynamism, head coach Mauricio Pochettino looked exasperated at his wilting squad — a stark contrast from the vibe in Sunday’s 5-0 thrashing of Trinidad and Tobago in their tournament opener.

“We want to win, but at the same time it’s to help the players to perform and to knock [on] the door and say, we can perform for the national team and we can be involved in the next World Cup,” stated Pochettino after the previous victory, looking fully confident for the upcoming match against Saudi Arabia.

“That is what I expect. Win, and the players really believe that they are having the opportunity…[to] fight for a place in the World Cup.”

With plenty of starters and key figures missing from this summer’s roster, the narrative was set for an up-and-coming attacking name or fringe option (like a Diego Luna) to save the day against Saudi Arabia. Instead, the hero of the night — someone who’s well-versed in the Texas heat — was defender Chris Richards.

Diving into a cross from Sebastian Berhalter off a free kick in the 63rd minute, the FA Cup winner (with Crystal Palace) converted to give the USMNT a 1-0 lead they would not let slip, booking their spot in the Gold Cup quarterfinals with two wins from two matches to open the competition.

Celebrating the goal with his arms wide and seeming to glide better than any member of the attack, Richards was not only the savior with his goal but also served as a reminder of the resilience that this USMNT roster — missing plenty of key players this summer — will need to have at the Gold Cup.

Let’s not forget the best play of the first half either, which also involved Richards. Long before his goal, Richards provided a defensive intervention in the 31st minute that was just as worthy of his scoring effort. His stats, aside from the goal itself, also speak for themselves. Five clearances, two blocked shots, a 100% success rate in aerial duels, 95% accuracy rate with his 74 passes — the list continues for what will go down as a memorable night for the 25-year-old, who played academy soccer just across the state with FC Dallas.

But that’s the good news for the USMNT. The bad news? Pochettino can’t exactly rely on one of his central defenders to save the team in every game.

As superb as Richards was on Thursday, the opposite could be said of most of the rest of the XI that still has much to prove in this Gold Cup. Going back to what Pochettino had said earlier, the hope was to not only succeed in the international competition, but to also find more roster depth for the World Cup that begins in 12 months.

In a summer that’s missing marquee headliners like Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah, Giovanni Reyna, Antonee Robinson, Yunus Musah and Sergiño Dest (for a variety of reasons), the hope was that after last Sunday’s eye-catching 5-0 win, more would continue to step up in the second group stage match.

Richards, a likely starter in a best XI, is far from that. While plenty of praise should be deservedly given to the standout player on Thursday, who has officially helped book a place in the knockout round, the U.S. didn’t really gain much when it came to new faces being able to make their mark and challenge the missing starters.

And if that continues, they may not last much longer beyond the quarterfinals.

Looking at other title-contenders like Canada and Mexico, Pochettino and the rest of Richards’ teammates can’t afford to be as predictable and lethargic as they were on Thursday. They’ll have one last tune-up with a group stage closer against Haiti on Sunday, but after that, the true fiery tests will emerge that far exceed the sweltering conditions in Austin.

But at the very least, against Saudi Arabia in a result that has avoided an early Gold Cup catastrophe, fans of the USMNT can rest easy knowing that Richards was able to safely put out the fire.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 goes offline for a day after its latest update caused so many problems Crytek had to remove it completely

by admin June 18, 2025

It’s been a rough day for Crytek, which after struggling for a day to get the new Hunt: Showdown 1896 2.4 update working properly has given up, rolled the whole thing back, and says it will try again later.

Trouble with the update became apparent almost as soon as the Judgment of the Fool update went live, as a raft of complaints about server problems and the inability to purchase Blood Bonds came flooding in. A couple hours after the update went up, Crytek said it was aware of the problem and took all game servers offline so it could fix the issue, with a promise to “update you as soon as the servers are back online.”

More than eight hours later, the servers finally came back—to Steam, anyway—but the 2.4 update did not.

Related articles

“After exhausting all possible solutions, we have decided to revert the game back to Update 2.3 to restore stability and will be monitoring stability,” Crytek wrote on X. “At this time, the return to Update 2.3 is now available for Steam players. Console players can expect an update soon as we work on restoring availability to PlayStation and Xbox.”

A return date for the 2.4 update was not provided, but Crytek said it will bring it back “as soon as possible.” It also promised that players who encountered problems with purchases during the 2.4 update’s brief life will receive the items they bought as well as other unspecified compensation, and that “as a token of our appreciation for your patience,” all players will have until June 27 to redeem a code (XIE25T57R247N190) granting them 10,000 Hunt dollars.

This has not mollified much of the Hunt: Showdown community. Some fans (particularly those with less-than-great internet) are annoyed at having to download 26GB of data for the 2.4 update, only to have to download another 26GB of data to get rid of it, while others are irritated by the fact that they’ve been unable to play the game for an entire day.

The lack of regular updates from Crytek during the downtime is also a big sore point, and the offer of 10,000 Hunt dollars has also not made much of an impression: It’s a decent amount but not the premium currency, so it can’t be used for things like Legendary skins or battle passes.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Naturally, there’s also been a spate of negative user reviews on Steam, where the “recent reviews” rating now sits at “mixed.” 146 negative reviews have been posted so far today, many of them by players with literally hundreds or even thousands of hours in the game.

For now, that’s where things stand: Hunt: Showdown is playable on Steam, apparently not yet playable on consoles, and the 2.4 update is coming but it’s not clear when. We’ll keep our eyes open and let you know when it does.
