PlayStation State of Play June 2025 date, time, how to watch, more

by admin June 3, 2025

Sony has announced a new PlayStation State of Play for June 2025. It will run for over half an hour, and here’s everything you need to know about it – from timings to how to watch the event live.

PlayStation State of Play June 2025 date and time

PlayStation State of Play will take place on Wednesday, June 4.

The event will go live at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST. For other time zones, here’s when you can catch the event live:

  • 10pm (BST)
  • 2:30am IST (June 5)
  • 6am JST (June 5)
  • 9am NZST (June 5)

How to watch PlayStation State of Play June 2025

To watch the State of Play June 2025 live, you have to tune in to PlayStation’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, as the show will be livestreamed on these two platforms.

How long will the show last?

PlayStation has confirmed that June’s State of Play will be a “40+ minute” show. It could very well last for an hour and give us updates on some of the biggest games coming to PS5 and PS5 Pro down the line.

Do we know what will be announced at State of Play in June 2025?

At the time of writing, PlayStation hasn’t confirmed what they are planning to announce or show at the State of Play on June 4.

However, if we have to speculate, we might finally get to see some gameplay footage from the Wolverine game they are working on. Since Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei are releasing this year, we could get to see new trailers and details about their gameplay and lore.

Once the show gets aired, Summer Games Fest 2025 is next in line. If State of Play isn’t enough for you, the annual game show on June 6 will feature a ton of games, where Hideo Kojima will be one of the guests.

Stellar Blade mods are already out before official PC release date

by admin June 2, 2025

Stellar Blade mods have already started to appear online ahead of the game’s PC release, and you can download them right now.

On May 31, Shift Up released its eagerly anticipated Stellar Blade PC demo, allowing players to test out the stylish hack-and-slash before its June 4 release date. So far, players have praised the devs for the port’s optimization and enhanced visuals.

Hell, the game even runs on Steam Deck – a bonus for players who want to take Eve’s adventure on the go. However, despite the PC version having higher frame rates and enhanced visuals, one of the most highly anticipated additions is mod support.

Despite not being out yet, Stellar Blade players have already begun to upload mods that add new outfits, character models, and, as expected, some rather thirsty content.

Stellar Blade mods are already live

The most notable mods released before the game drops are the Racing Outfit and Casual Wear skin, which give the deadly android a brand-new look.

As the name suggests, the Racing Outfit ditches the dive suit and sees Eve wearing a blue and white suit that comes with a chequered racing flag motif. Meanwhile, the Casual Wear skin features a red jacket with a dragon emblazoned upon it and a pair of striking white trousers.

One of the oddest and most comical is the Yakuza – Goromi mod, which replaces Eve with the Yakuza series’ legendary Goro Majima. The comical crook has ditched his signature snakeskin jacket and opted for a bright pink dress instead. Majima is no stranger to the wackier side of life, so taking down fleshy aliens in a brightly colored dress isn’t too much of a stretch.

There are also a bunch of quality-of-life mods that remove film grain and aim to improve the game’s visuals. The Stellar Optimizer mod also reduces stuttering by optimizing the game’s shader compilation, which could lead to a much smoother gameplay experience on lower-end hardware.

Path of Exile 2 director says GGG is learning from its mistakes while supporting 2 games at once: ‘If you want to lock the date, you can’t lock the features’

by admin May 31, 2025

When Grinding Gear Games first announced Path of Exile 2, it made a promise: PoE1 wasn’t going anywhere, and development on both titles would continue in parallel. Ten months after the last Path of Exile league, it’s clear that the studio bit off a bit more than it can chew, but game director Jonathan Rogers was optimistic in a new interview with YouTuber Talkative Tri this week that things are close to being back on track.

One of the main problems, as he sees it, was that GGG veered from a development philosophy it’d had for a long time.

“If you want to lock the features, you can’t lock the date,” he said. “And if you want to lock the date, you can’t lock the features. In the past, we were always locking dates, but then as we had PoE2 in development, we got to the point where we were locking features instead and I think honestly that wasn’t the best.”

You may like

Path of Exile 2’s most recent update was called Dawn of the Hunt, and it’s clear that the focus was squarely on a new class, the Huntress. This painted GGG into a bit of a corner—you can’t really have a hunt dawning without, you know, someone to do the hunting. They couldn’t make announcements about it until they were sure that she was ready, let alone start talking about anything they had cooking with PoE1. As a result, the update felt rushed, and personally I think that was a big contributor to its cool reception.

Moving forward, Rogers said, this uncertainty will be a thing of the past. “We’re doing four months, it’s going to be consistent, it’s always going to be the case. We don’t wanna have this kind of uncertainty around this any more,” he declared, to the resounding cheers of grinders everywhere. With the new 3.26 league coming June 13 for PoE1, this puts us squarely on the release cadence initially promised.

A new league or major patch every two months sounds like a dream come true for a PoE sicko like myself, but after over 300 days of radio silence on PoE1’s 3.26 update I think you’d forgive me for being just a touch skeptical. I’m thinking we might see that number stretch a little bit, particularly at first.

Rogers was adamant, though: “With the new development model, like the date is fixed and the content is not, that might mean that the class we’re planning to add might not make it. Now I think it will, but if it had to not make it in order to make it so all the other classes we already have are good, then we will do that tradeoff and that is not the mindset we were in for 0.2.0.”

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

He added that their primary focus for PoE2’s 0.3 update was making sure that existing classes felt good to play, and if that came at the expense of the new one, so be it. The willingness to make cuts in the name of deadlines tells me that GGG is serious about sticking to the schedule, which is something the community’s been clamoring for since the usual release window for PoE1 came and went half a year ago.

We’ll have to see how things shake out with the schedule, but for now at least the content is heading in the right direction. There have been a number of patches to Path of Exile 2 even in this interstitial time between major updates, improving some of the loot issues and other problems that Dawn of the Hunt had. Patch 0.2.1 should be dropping any second now, which has further loot improvements, a whole-ass Expedition revamp, and new chase uniques. It also fixes some major issues—I knew Hidden Grotto was a pain, but did you know that it was 37.5% of all maps on the atlas? And apparently the chaos flowers in Ritual were responsible for fifty percent of player deaths in the endgame? Yeesh.

GGG is hosting a livestream with details for the new PoE1 league on June 5, where we’ll learn more about the patch.

Pokemon Presents locked in for July, as Pokemon Legends Z-A finally catches a proper release date for Switch 2 and OG Switch

by admin May 29, 2025

Attention all Bulbasaur plushie owners and potential future Bulbasaur plushie owners. The Pokemon Company has officially announced a Pokemon Presents showcase set to take place in July. Plus, we finally know for sure when exactly Pokemon Legends Z-A will be arriving for Switch 2 and original Switch.

This next Pokemon Presents will be taking place on Tuesday, July 22, meaning you’ve got a month and a bit to wait. You’ll be able to watch it at 6AM PST, which is 2PM BST, 9AM ET, and 3PM CEST via the official Pokemon YouTube channel.

There’ve been no further details announced as to what it’ll feature, aside from “the latest news and updates from the world of Pokemon”, which yeah, duh, Pokemon showcase. It’s worth noting that Nintendo’s Switch 2 will have been out a month and a bit by then, so it seems likely we could see some more Pokemon games aimed at that console.

One that pretty much seems like a lock unless TPC thinks it’s shared enough info already is Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which has just finally been given a full release date. Both the Switch 2 and original Switch versions will be dropping on October 16, with eShop pre-orders kicking off June 5. The game’s moody nighttime cover art has also been revealed.

“Players who purchase either the physical or digital version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch will have the option to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing an upgrade pack,” TPC wrote, “Upgrade packs will be available on Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store.”

If you’ve forgotten what the game is here’s the synopsis: “Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a new frontier for the Pokémon video game series, blending an RPG story unfolding in a single city with action elements and a real-time battle system unlike anything seen before in the franchise Trainers can look forward to the beginning of a new adventure in Lumiose City—one woven by people and Pokémon together!”
