Josh Gad Confirms ‘Spaceballs 2’ to Start Filming

by admin September 8, 2025

Orlando Bloom may-or-may-not return as Legolas in The Hunt for Gollum, Macon Blair may-or-may-not direct a sequel to The Toxic Avenger starring Melanie Lynskey, and the stars of KPOP Demon Hunters may-or-may-not return for a sequel. Mondays, right? Morning Spoilers, ahoy!

The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum

Orlando Blood told the Today Show that he’d “hate to see anyone else play Legolas,” but hasn’t “heard a peep” if the character will appear in The Hunt for Gollum.

I have not heard a peep, actually. I don’t know. I know it’s focusing on Gollum, so anything’s possible. It’s such an amazing part. I’m so grateful to have been a part of those movies. But I haven’t heard. Listen, I’d hate to see anyone else play Legolas, you know what I mean? What are they going to do? Are they going to put somebody else in as Legolas?

The Toxic Avenger, Part 2?

Speaking with Deadline, director Macon Blair said he’d “love to” continue making Toxic Avenger movies, and that he already has Melanie Lynskey in mind for a potential villain.

I would love to do that, and I had been sort of thinking about if somebody were to ask me, what would be cool for adventures to go on with Toxie, but I think we have to see how this one lands first and see if anybody has an appetite for that and see what happens. But to answer your question, I would love it if that were the case…if there were a way that I could have gotten Melanie [Lynskey] in this movie, I would have tried to do that too. But maybe she’s the villain in part two or something like that. I don’t know.

Avengers: Doomsday

David Harbour told Screen Rant how “incredible” it feels being on the set of Avengers: Doomsday and to bare witness to “what’s his face doing that speech”.

I was not even convinced when we started, and this movie’s gonna be really good. They have a special sauce. I don’t even really understand, but they [the Russos] just know how to do these things. And I think that as evidenced in Civil War, as evidenced in Infinity War, there’s something about the layers in which they put the comedy and the drama and the surprises and the scale and the epicness and all that stuff. It’s incredible.

I will say I’ve never been on a set like this in my life. I’ve never seen anything like this. You saw those chairs. So it’s like, every one of those guys and girls has a trailer. It’s just insane to look around the room and be like, “Oh my god, I’m in the movie. There’s what’s his face doing that speech”. It’s just enormous.

Cliffhanger 2

According to Deadline, the upcoming Cliffhanger remake starring Lily James and Pierce Brosnan already has a sequel on the way.

KPOP Demon Hunters 2

In conversation with E! at the MTV Music Video Awards, KPOP Demon Hunters‘ star EJAE answered “Who knows, you know?” when asked about a potential sequel, prompting Audrey Nuna to add “we’re waiting for he call as well.” Rei Ami echoed their statements, adding, “As soon as we know, we’ll let you know.”

Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!

Variety reports that Media Capital Technologies and the Horror Section “are on board to fully finance and produce” a feature film based on Eli Roth and Snoop Dogg’s concept trailer, Don’t Go in That House, Bitch!

Spaceballs 2

Josh Gad confirmed to Collider that filming is about to begin on Spaceballs 2 in Australia.

I can’t believe it’s actually happening. I pitched it to Mel Brooks three years ago. The fact that we are at the end of pre-production… You’re the first person I’m telling this to: I’m leaving TIFF to fly to Australia to start shooting the movie.

We’re always hypersensitive to [leaks] and aware of it. We’re going to do, I would say, an even mix that would probably represent what Mel did on the first film. Because it is a Star Wars-esque film, it requires some Vista shots, which we’re doing, and it requires some spaceship shots, which we’re doing.

The Yeti

A group of strangers prepare for a siege battle with the titular monster in a clip from The Yeti, starring Brittany Allen, Eric Nelsen, Corbin Bernsen, Jim Cummings, Christina Bennett Lind, and William Sadler.

Teen Titans Go!

After voicing character Beast Boy for nearly 25 years, Deadline reports that Greg Cipes will no longer play the part after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The actor took to social media, saying he was “fired” from the role mere hours after publicly revealing his diagnosis. However, Deadline reported that “a source close to the animated series” suggested that “the role of Beast Boy in Teen Titans Go! was [already] in the process of being recast due to creative differences,” and that the long-running series apparently offered Cipes a different character to play, instead.

Smiling Friends

Finally, Adult Swim has released a trailer for the third season of Smiling Friends premiering this October 5.

Best Altcoins to Buy After US Senate Confirms Tokenized Stocks Are Still Securities

by admin September 7, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Complicated rules and regulations have long been the tightest noose around crypto’s neck – but that’s now changing rapidly with Donald Trump back in the president’s seat for a second term.

The latest sign of the US government’s pro-crypto stance is the Senate’s new bill, the Responsible Financial Innovation Act of 2025.

Most notably, the bill introduces a crucial provision clarifying that tokenized stocks and similar assets will remain classified as securities.

Keep reading to learn why this clarification is a win for crypto, how it simplifies things for blockchain businesses, and what the best altcoins to buy to make the most from the momentum this regulatory shift is set to create.

Why the Senate’s 2025 Bill Could Supercharge the Crypto Market

The Senate’s latest bill is crucial because it ensures that companies involved in tokenization can continue operating within familiar frameworks, including broker-dealer systems, clearing mechanisms, and trading platforms.

Even better, the bill also lays out clear guidelines on when digital assets will fall under the jurisdiction of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) versus the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis reinforced the urgency, saying, ‘We want this on the president’s desk before the end of the year,’ showing that the Senate isn’t just committed to pro-crypto changes but also to rolling them out quickly for maximum impact.

Combined with the prospect of multiple Federal Reserve rate cuts in 2025, there may not be a better time to load up your portfolio with explode-worthy altcoins like the following.

1. Snorter Token ($SNORT) – New Telegram-Based Trading Bot Helping Retail Meme Coin Traders

Snorter Token ($SNORT) powers a new Telegram trading bot built to restore parity in the meme coin trading space.

Right now, deep-pocketed investors with advanced tools and algorithms scoop up most of the liquidity in newly listed tokens, effectively shutting out retail traders from those early meme coin pumps.

Snorter Bot’s automatic execution changes that. It lets you place buy/sell orders in advance and then executes them the moment liquidity becomes available – something nearly impossible to do manually.

This gives you the chance to ride the earliest (and often biggest) price jumps in new meme coins.

On top of that, the bot is loaded with robust safeguards against common on-chain threats, including rug pulls, honeypots, front-running, and sandwich attacks.

Why buy $SNORT, Snorter Bot’s native cryptocurrency?

  • A potential 807% ROI by year-end, according to our $SNORT price prediction
  • No daily sniping limits
  • Advanced analytics
  • Generous staking rewards, currently yielding 123%
  • Reduced trading fees: just 0.85% vs. 1.5% charged to non-holders

Interested? Join the $SNORT presale, which has already pulled in over $3.77M from early investors. And each token is currently priced at just $0.1037.

Check out Snorter Token’s presale page to snort your way to profitable trades.

2. Maxi Doge ($MAXI) – Dogecoin-Themed Meme Coin with Aggressive Marketing Plans

Maxi Doge ($MAXI) might not have an other-worldly staking mechanism or any underlying utility, but its raw, laser-focused mission to overshadow Dogecoin has crypto degens hooked.

Simply put, Maxi is Dogecoin’s distant cousin who, thanks to Doge’s pomp and show as the best meme coin ever, grew up in the shadows. This left Maxi licking his paws in frustration.

That’s why Maxi harbors an undying hatred for Dogecoin. The million-dollar question, however, is whether $MAXI is capable of being the next 1000x crypto.

The answer? A resounding yes. With over 40% of its total token supply reserved for marketing (think PR campaigns, influencer partnerships, and social media blitzes), $MAXI has locked in a solid plan to go viral.

Additionally, it won’t stop at DEX and CEX listings – $MAXI is also eyeing a futures platform launch.

This could make it even more popular among high-risk, high-reward traders, who will be able to take leveraged positions and chase potentially life-changing gains.

Join the tribe by buying $MAXI while it’s still in presale at just $0.000256. The project has already amassed $1.9M in funding within just a few weeks.

Join the presale and go with this unhinged Maxi Doge in his journey to take down Dogecoin.

3. Comedian ($BAN) – Viral Meme Coin Based on Controversial Artwork

Comedian ($BAN)’s 130%+ rise over the past month is already impressive, but its additional 22% gain this past week is particularly noteworthy, as it comes right after a major breakout.

The breakout in question was a run-up out of a descending triangle pattern – the same formation that pushed the token into a nearly 90% drawdown back in February-April this year.

According to textbook technical analysis, by measuring the width of the triangle and projecting it from the breakout, $BAN could be on its way to $1.419360 – an eye-popping 1,000% gain from current price levels.

For context, Comedian is based on the controversial artwork featuring a banana taped to a wall.

This so-called piece of ‘modern’ art that has sparked endless online debate about whether it represents brilliance or just lazy absurdity.

Wrapping Up

With the US government showing no signs of slowing down its pro-crypto stance, the stage is set for the crypto market to rise by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks.

Remember, this article is not financial advice, and you must always do your own research before investing.

Kingdom Hearts 4, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 are making “great progress”, confirms director

by admin September 7, 2025

Square Enix director Tetsuya Nomura still doesn’t have any specific Kingdom Hearts 4 news for us just yet, but he wants you to know that the teams are making “great progress” on both the Kingdom Hearts sequel and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.

Other than a sneak peek back in May, we haven’t seen or heard anything since Kingdom Hearts 4 was shown back in 2022 for the series’ 20th anniversary, which is likely why Nomura joked in a recent livestream about seeing “a lot of comments” from fans eager to know more about the game.

Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary announcement trailer.Watch on YouTube

“I’m seeing a lot of comments asking about Kingdom Hearts 4,” Nomura said, as translated by Aitaikimochi (thanks, TheGamer). “We are making great strides and going according to schedule. So please wait for more information on that!”

Admittedly, that doesn’t give us much to go on, but it should be a relief to fans to know everything is “going according to schedule”. And as for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3?

“[Motomu] Toriyama supposedly said we will have news around the time of the second anniversary of FF7EC,” he added. “We are making great progress on the game! And I can’t say anything else. I’m not gonna be like, ‘Well, actually…’ If I did, people would be really surprised if it’s during this FF7EC livestream.

“But we are indeed making a lot of progress with the game. We already have decided when we will make the announcement as well, and we will stick to that time schedule. So don’t worry, but please wait for it.”

Square Enix finally released fresh screenshots of Kingdom Hearts 4 back in May, giving us our first look at the game in three years. Before then, the last time the game was shown was back in 2022 for the series’ 20th anniversary, in which we were treated to Sora’s return and the expansive metropolis of Quadratum.

The day before those new screenshots, Square Enix cancelled mobile game Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link.

Batman Arkham Shadow VR sequel in the works, actor confirms

by admin September 5, 2025

Last year, Camouflaj and Oculus Studios released a Batman-flavoured VR release in the form of Arkham Shadows, and it looks like the teams are taking another bite of the apple.

During a recent interview with Culture Combine, which was spotted by UploadVR, Commissioner Gordon’s actor confirmed a sequel is in the works.

Actor Mark Rolston was chatting about his career, and the difference between approaching games such as Blade Runner and Spider-Man 2.

“In the Blade Runner game, I was a voiceover, but for Spider-Man, I do complete motion capture, voice, and everything,” the actor told the publication, before slipping this little nugget of information into the conversation:

“Same thing with the Batman Arkham Shadow VR game. We’re about to start another one of those. I play Commissioner Gordon.”

So, there you have it!

Our Ian rather enjoyed Batman Arkham Shadow in its release last year. “Batman Arkham Shadow can feel rough around the edges at times, but it’s still a more than worthy entry to the Arkham series, and an essential Quest 3 experience,” he wrote in Eurogamer’s four star Batman Arkham Shadow review.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

2K confirms a “staff reduction” at Civ and XCOM developer Firaxis

by admin September 4, 2025

2K has confirmed a “reduction” in the headcount at Civilization and XCOM developer Firaxis.

It’s unclear at this time how many developers have been affected by the cuts, but Game Developer suggests the “restructure” impacts “dozens of workers,” several of whom have confirmed the layoffs on LinkedIn.

At the time of writing, neither Firaxis nor 2K acknowledges the layoffs on their social accounts, or detail how the cuts will impact the studio’s most recent release, Civilization 7, which launched in February.

In a statement to Game Developer, a 2K spokesperson confirmed there was a “staff reduction today at Firaxis Games,” as the studio “restructures and optimizes” for “adaptability, collaboration, and creativity.”

The cuts come despite parent company Take-Two Interactive recording a 16% increase in net bookings to $1.42 billion in its first quarter of the fiscal year. This was “significantly above the guidance range” for the period, which was $1.25 billion to $1.3 billion.

This brings the total number of developers who have lost their jobs in 2025 to around 4400, although this figure doesn’t account for instances like today’s cuts at Fireaxis and Dreamhaven where studios have not publicly revealed how many staff were made redundant.

Three games have been confirmed to be leaving Xbox’s Game Pass subscription service in the coming weeks.

Those three games are:

  • Wargroove 2
  • We Love Katamari Reroll+ Royal Reverie
  • All You Need Is Help

If you are interested in any of the above games, now is your last chance to play them via Game Pass (at least for now, they may well be re-added at a later date). The above three games will leave the service both on consoles and PC on 15th September.

Chris Donlan was rather taken with Wargroove 2 on its release. “I liked the first Wargroove, but I think I may end up loving this one,” he wrote in Eurogamer’s Wargroove 2 feature from 2023.

All You Need is Help, meanwhile, is described as a “quirky” co-op puzzle game, complete with fluffy cube creatures (see header above) which “team up to solve puzzles together”.

For everything else in Microsoft’s subscription service, you can check out our handy Xbox Game Pass guide detailing the many titles available.

Capcom Confirms Pragmata Isn't Secretly A Mega Man Game

Capcom Confirms Pragmata Isn’t Secretly A Mega Man Game

by admin August 30, 2025

For many months now, some fans online have suggested that Capcom’s upcoming sci-fi adventure Pragmata is actually a secret Mega Man reboot. However, Pragmata’s producer says it is not, even laughing about the conspiracy theory when recently asked about it.

Fans and content creators online have spread this theory around for a while. Many point out that Pragmata’s cybergirl sidekick, Diana, shares a lot of design elements with Mega Man, with her coat lending her the robot’s signature color and her arm expanding during some moments in a way reminiscent of the Blue Bomber’s oversized blaster arm. There’s also the game’s narrative setup, which involves evil robots. But, in a recent interview with VGC, Pragmata’s producer Naoto Oyama completely denied this theory.

“Pragmata is not a Mega Man game,” said Oyama. VGC also reports he was laughing as he answered the question. He then added, “It is a completely new game from Capcom.

“I was actually one of the producers on the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection as well, so I’m happy to see that people who love Mega Man are passionate about Pragmata too,” Oyama told the outlet. “From my standpoint, it’s nice to see people are being so positive about it.”

So that seems like a definitive no. However, I expect some fans will claim that Capcom is lying. That, of course, they won’t confirm Pragmata’s connection to Mega Man. It’s supposed to be a big secret, so Capcom will deny it until Pragmata launches sometime in 2026. (Remember when this game was revealed in 2020 and was supposed to be out in 2022?)

However, I’d argue that Capcom knows how much people want new Mega Man games, and if they were making one, they’d be shouting about it from the rooftops. Also, keep in mind that Capcom isn’t above referencing and hinting at other games in their new IPs. We saw this happen with Exoprimal, which many fans were convinced was a Dino Crisis game. And to fans’ credit, Capcom did include a woman with red hair in a debut trailer for the game about dinosaurs. So I’m not surprised there’s some Mega Man inspiration in Pragmata. Capcom really needs people to remember this game exists and care about it in 2026. And what better way to do that than by sprinkling a few references to something much more popular and hoping the fans take the bait.

Anyway, even if Pragmata isn’t a Mega Man game (and I really don’t think it is), the game sounds like it might be an interesting throwback to the kind of linear action games we got back in the 2010s on Xbox 360 and PS3. Here’s what our own Kenneth Shepard thought about it when he played it earlier this year:

Pragmata feels a bit like a game out of time, as its gruff old man protagonist, slow-moving enemies, and brutalist sci-fi aesthetic are all evocative of the over-the-shoulder shooters from the PS360 era. Given those seemingly bygone qualities, it’d be easy for Pragmata to feel rote and dated, but what I played was just inventive enough to feel novel. I was super impressed with it.

MetaMask Confirms mUSD Launch, Backed by M0 and Stripe's Bridge

MetaMask Confirms mUSD Launch, Backed by M0 and Stripe’s Bridge

by admin August 21, 2025

MetaMask, the popular crypto wallet developed by Consensys, confirmed on Thursday it will debut its proprietary U.S. dollar token (mUSD) later this year, joining the booming stablecoin market.

“MetaMask USD is a critical step in bringing the world on-chain,” said Gal Eldar, product lead at MetaMask, in a blog post.

Stablecoins, a type of cryptocurrencies pegged to external assets like the U.S. dollar, have grown into a $250 billion market, often touted as a faster, cheaper option for international payments. Interest in the sector has accelerated since U.S. President Donald Trump signed the GENIUS Act into law, setting new federal standards for stablecoin issuers.

MetaMask’s stablecoin project was already known to be in the works due to a prematurely posted governance proposal earlier this month. In the official announcement, the firm said that the mUSD token will be launched first on Ethereum

and Consensys-developed layer-2 network Linea, and closely integrated within the app and services.

Users will be able to on-ramp fiat, swap between tokens, and move value across blockchains, with the stablecoin later becoming spendable through the MetaMask Card at Mastercard merchants worldwide. Further plans include extend utility across decentralized finance (DeFi) and payments.

The token is issued by U.S.-licensed issuer Bridge, now part of payments giant Stripe, and underpinned by stablecoin platform M0’s blockchain infrastructure.

“With MetaMask USD, users can bring their money onchain, put it to work, spend it almost anywhere, and use it like money should be used,” Eldar said. “It will allow us to cut through some of the most stubborn barriers in web3 and reduce both friction and costs for people onboarding directly into a self-custodial wallet.”

Custom stablecoin issuance

MetaMask’s stablecoin is the first example of the partnership between M0 and Bridge to help businesses roll out custom digital dollars.

The two firms said on Thursday the partnership combines Bridge’s regulatory and reserve management expertise with M0’s blockchain infrastructure designed for application-specific stablecoins.

The idea of application-specific stablecoins has been gaining traction as the market for digital dollars is booming with improving regulatory clarity. Payment applications, crypto wallets or DeFi protocols can create their own branded dollar token while outsourcing compliance, reserves and infrastructure to providers.

For instance, Paxos issues PayPal’s PYUSD token, while BitGo is behind the Trump-affiliated DeFi protocol World Liberty Financial’s USD1. Earlier this month, U.S. fintech Slash launched its own stablecoin with Bridge.

Partnering with M0 and Bridge, MetaMask can offer a built-in digital dollar for its users without managing the complex work of issuance, compliance and tech plumbing.

Zach Abrams, co-founder and CEO of Bridge, said that they reduced the development time for custom stablecoin issuance from “more than a year of complex integrations” to “a matter of weeks. This means apps like Metamask “can realize benefits more rapidly and efficiently than ever before.”

With the partnership, M0 and Bridge are now seeking to replicate the work on MetaMask’s token for more issuers.

“Applications want to control their dollar infrastructure,” M0 founder and CEO Luca Prosperi said in an interview with CoinDesk. “What is important is that they will not have to build it themselves.”

UPDATE (Aug. 21, 12:30 UTC): Adds MetaMask’s official stablecoin announcement, updates headline and lede.

EA’s upcoming Skate understands that the soundtrack is just as important as the gameplay, confirms over 100 songs

by admin August 18, 2025

When you think of skateboarding games, what is the first thing you think of? For me, it’s the music – whether it was being introduced to the impeccable drum work of Josh Freese in The Vandals’ Euro-Barge on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1, trying to get my voice as high as 3 Inches of Blood’s singer in Deadly Sinners in Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, or learning how to play Jack White’s part in Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine after hearing it in Skate, music is an integral part of these games.

The recent THPS 1+2 and 3+4 remasters understand this, and bring a nice mix of classic and modern music to the re-releases that (I think) represents what skate culture should always be about: honouring legacy and trying new stuff. EA’s upcoming Skate reboot seems to have got this brief, too, as today the publisher has announced that the game will have “over 100 songs” featured on the in-game soundtrack.

Back to the grind. | Image credit: EA

Pleasantly, these will vary from the likes of upcoming acts like Denzel Curry and Turnstile – yes, I know they’re four albums in, but they’re also only just breaking through to the mainstream – and more classic acts like MF Doom and Earth, Wind & Fire.

“[Skate will have] over 100 songs, with hits from emerging artists and deep cuts to help players discover new music as they skate through San Vansterdam,” reads a press release. “Each session stays fresh and high energy, and like San Vansterdam itself, the soundtrack will evolve with every season.”

Music licensing is a real pain for game developers; we’ve previously seen entire titles delisted from digital storefronts due to music licensing issues. By keeping the in-game track list fresh and changing it with the seasons, the publisher can better control what goes in and out of the game, and simply remove a track from rotation if the license expires. I think that’s also a better example of skate culture, to be honest: in my misspend adolescence in skate parks, I learned so much new, interesting music from listening to what the other skaters were blasting out of their crappy, battery-powered speakers hooked up to their iPods (I was just a bit too old for the boombox era, sadly).

So far, Little Simz and Skeggs are also mentioned for the soundtrack, but not a lot of other bands are confirmed yet. So that’s six out of – assumedly – 100 artists we’ve locked in. There’s plenty of scope for some really cool stuff to get in here. Just do me a favour, EA, and don’t include Lupe Fiasco’s Kick, Push. It’s been done to death at this point. If you want mellow, go for something like Brave Baby’s Plastic Skateboard, instead: it’s far better for those late night sessions on the concrete with your pals.
