Casio’s stress-relieving furry robot is coming to the US

by admin September 17, 2025

Unlike Sony’s robotic dog Aibo that can wander around your home, Moflin can’t get around on its own. Its movements are limited to its head that can rotate from side to side and tilt up and down which the robot uses to express simulated emotions and affection. It’s designed to be held and cuddled to provide “a calming presence” and “quiet reassurance,” according to Casio. But Moflin isn’t completely silent. It can make quiet sounds that will evolve over time to feel more expressive in order to create a stronger simulated bond with you.

Moflin can also recognize individual people through their voices and responds to touch through sensors hidden beneath its fur. Using AI it will develop a unique personality over time based on how you interact with it, which will vary from person to person. Moflin can end up being cheerful and will energetically move around while making sounds, or it can become quiet, docile, and shy if the robot isn’t interacted with enough. Despite being an electronic device, Casio hasn’t included a way to reset Moflin if you don’t like the personality it develops. Like a real pet, you’ll need to responsibly care for it right from the get go.

Easy queasy: Borderlands 4 FOV sliders may be coming to console

by admin September 17, 2025

One technical issue the console version of Borderlands 4 is facing is a lack of a customisable field of vision slider, as the game has on PC. Currently the console FOV is low and the zoomed-in perspective is making some players feel sick.

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford polled console players recently about how strongly they felt about changing this, and three quarters of respondents felt very strongly about it. So, Gearbox appears to be doing something about it.

“We have heard your feedback on FOV (Field of View) sliders on console,” Gearbox announced on the Borderlands 4 X account. “The team is currently exploring how to bring these sliders to both Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions. We will continue to read your feedback & prioritise game updates with your experience in mind.”

Borderlands 4 had a popular opening weekend but is facing some backlash on PC for its technical performance there. Randy Pitchford took to X over the weekend to tell players they needed to make some graphical trade-offs if they wanted high frame-rates, and suggested high frame-rates weren’t, in a campaign-based looter shooter like this, the studio’s top priority. “It’s not a competitive FPS,” he said.

Our Borderlands 4 review is currently in the works.

Hit Viking Survival Game Valheim Is Finally Coming To PS5 Next Year

by admin September 17, 2025

Valheim, the hit indie Viking survival game from developer Iron Gate AB and Coffee Stain Publishing, is finally coming to PlayStation 5 in 2026. It’s currently unclear, though, if this version of the game will be 1.0 or Early Access.

Valheim launched into Early Access on PC back in 2021, quickly climbing up the Steam charts to become one of the most popular survival games of the year. That excitement continued well into 2022, with the audience growing in 2023 when Valheim launched into Game Preview on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, featuring cross-play as well. Now, Valheim is finally coming to PS5, and you can check out a new trailer celebrating the news below.

Since Valheim’s Early Access debut in 2021, it has garnered a 94 percent “Very Positive” rating on Steam, based on over 477,000 reviews and 12 million copies sold. Since that launch, Iron Gate AB has released various updates, including the following:

  • Hearth and Home: enhanced survival and base-building mechanics
  • Mistlands: introduced a new fog-shrouded biome filled with dangerous creatures and magic to master
  • Ashlands: introduced treacherous cliffs, boiling waters, and new threats
  • Call To Arms: the latest update, which updated combat and added new enemies, weapons, armor sets, and crafting materials

Valheim launches on PS5 in 2026. It is currently available on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One (including Xbox Game Pass), PC via Steam Early Access, the Microsoft Store, PC Game Pass, and the Mac App Store.

Are you still playing Valheim? Let us know why we should be playing it in 2025 below!

Valheim coming to PlayStation in 2026, possibly alongside the long-awaited 1.0 release of the game?

by admin September 16, 2025

The set is nearly complete: Valheim is coming to PlayStation next year. Remember, the procedurally generated, multiplayer viking survival game is already available on PC, Mac, Linux and Xbox Series S/X (and Game Pass).

Iron Gate didn’t announce a specific PlayStation console, by the way, which may mean PlayStation 4 is included, but I’ll check this and let you know. And yes, the PlayStation version of the game will have full cross-play with other versions of Valheim.

Development partner Piktiv, which helped implement cross-play when the Xbox version of the game released, and which also helped bring the game to PC Game Pass, will be handling the PlayStation port.

Astarion actor Neil Newbon features in this new trailer. He was once on British TV soap Hollyoaks, you know. (I actually didn’t know that until very recently.)Watch on YouTube

A specific date in 2026 wasn’t shared, possibly because the PlayStation release will coincide with the long-awaited 1.0 release of the game, which is expected sometime in 2026 as well. Valheim, if you don’t know, has been in Early Access since 2021.

But much has been added to the game in that time. Valheim was a phenomenal success when it launched, commanding half-a-million concurrent players at its peak on Steam, and such success expands plans. Part of the reason Piktiv is handling the PlayStation port is so that Iron Gate can focus on finishing the seventh and final biome update for the game, Deep North.

Emma was our resident Valheim reporter when she was here, and she last properly looked at the game in 2023, and discovered a Valheim stuck in limbo. She also wrote a specially commissioned feature for Supporters of Eurogamer that year, which followed her on a ridiculous but inspired adventure to become a real-estate agent in Valheim. Oh, the lengths she went to.

A New PlayStation Presentation, Possibly A State Of Play, Is Coming Next Week – Report

by admin September 16, 2025

Sony is reportedly prepping a new PlayStation event for next week, according to reliable leaker NateTheHate2. However, it’s not clarified whether this could be a State of Play or Showcase, though there hasn’t been a version of the latter in over two years at this point.

The last two PlayStation State of Play events have each focused on a single game. The July presentation put the spotlight on first-party exclusive Ghost of Yotei, while earlier this month, Sony showed off the James Bond title 007: First Light from Hitman developer IO Interactive. If this recent report pans out, that would mean two major PlayStation events in one month. At the start of September, NateTheHate2 nailed when the latest Nintendo Direct would happen.

Now Playing: Marvel’s Wolverine | PlayStation Showcase 2021

One game that could be featured at the possible PlayStation event next week is Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. On top of past rumblings about its appearance, a new report from MP1st states that Marvel’s Wolverine is slated to arrive in 2026. The game was first announced in 2021.

Other prospects for popping up include Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet from Naughty Dog, Saros from Returnal developer Housemarque, or any number of third-party titles. So far this year, Sony has held five different PlayStation State of Play events. Keep in mind the company hasn’t officially announced anything yet.

XRP Buy Signal Suggests Massive Price Bounce is Coming

XRP Buy Signal Suggests Massive Price Bounce is Coming

by admin September 15, 2025

Just after multiple days of consistent price surges, the crypto market has suddenly flipped negative, pushing XRP to the negative zone.

Despite the sudden switch in investors’ sentiment, XRP still stands a chance for a massive price breakout, according to a recent prediction shared by crypto analyst Ali Martinez.

The analyst shared a 4-hour chart flashing a key buy signal, which suggests that XRP may be gearing up for a significant price bounce back soon.

The bullish flag reflected in the asset’s TD Sequential suggests that the ongoing drawdown in the price of XRP is possibly close to exhaustion.

Thus, this can only mean that the asset is set to resume its uptrend, suggesting that XRP is still headed for the $3.60 price breakout.

What’s XRP’s next target?

As of September 15, XRP has lost its resistance at $3, falling as low as $2.96 during the day. With this declining trajectory, XRP’s price is down 0.57% in the past 24 hours but shows a decent price surge of 1.16% in the last seven days.

While momentum appears to be fading, the analyst has shared reasons why the altcoin might be set for a potential rally, following signals flashed by key on-chain and technical factors.

After briefly falling below the $3 mark, XRP has slightly rebounded back to $3, hovering around $3.01 as of writing. While the downtrend has continued to persist, the TD Sequential indicator shows that XRP is still retaining the buying pressure witnessed in the previous rally.

You Might Also Like

Following the sustained buying signal reflected on the chart, indicators like this have historically signaled short-term price rallies to ease off extended bearish pressure.

The analysts have predicted that, if the buy signal holds, XRP could stage a bounce back toward the $3.05–$3.10 resistance zone. This could further lead to higher price surges, pushing XRP to the highly anticipated $3.60 mark.

Apart from the signals projected by these key indicators, crypto veterans have also expressed belief that XRP’s surge to $5 is very possible if the proposed XRP ETF products become approved by the SEC.

‘Trick ‘r Treat’ is Coming Back to Theaters Next Month

by admin September 15, 2025

After finally hitting the big screen for everyone for the first time a few years ago, Trick r’ Treat will be back in theaters October 14 and 16.

According to a press release from Fathom Entertainment, the horror flick will get a 4K restoration and a little bonus in the form of a 4K restoration for director Mike Dougherty’s Season’s Greetings short. The 1996 video is an origin for the final film and will be part of a look back by Dougherty through several Halloween-specific memories that led to the creation of the film’s rule-breaking trick-or-treater, Sam.

“Horror fans have long been thirsting for Trick ‘r Treat to take its rightful place back on the big screen and in cinemas nationwide,” said Fathom’s Tom Lucas. “We’re thrilled to bring this classic horror film back in theaters in sparkling 4K with our partners just in time for Halloween. A stellar cast helps make Trick ‘r Treat a frightening cinematic experience fans will not want to miss!”

First shown at film festivals in 2007, Trick ‘r Treat has been a cult classic since it hit DVDs back in 2009. Its generally positive reception has led to some rumblings of Dougherty by a sequel, but the Hollywood strikes and his work on the Monsterverse movies have made progress on it slow. Until that day comes, rewatching the original is still a fine spooky season tradition—especially on the big screen.

Minecraft Live 2025 Is Coming At The End Of September

by admin September 15, 2025

It’s been almost six months since Mojang Studios hosted an installment of Minecraft Live, which provides a look ahead at what’s coming to Minecraft. Now, the studio has set the next Minecraft Live for September 27 with a teaser trailer that may have some hints about what to expect.

Minecraft Live will stream on Minecraft’s official site, as well as the game’s YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, and TikTok accounts. The start time will be September 27 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. So far, Mojang has only promised that the episode will feature “the inside scoop on unannounced game drops, insight from our developers, and more.”

As Mojang has done in the past, the Minecraft Live stream will be followed by a longer Deep Dig After Show, which will be hosted by Vu Bui. The after show will feature Minecraft developers and guests as they show off the game’s upcoming features.

Minecraft’s next update, The Copper Age, is likely to be featured on Minecraft Live and may even be released this month. The update will introduce multiple uses for copper and feature the Copper Golem. Earlier this month, Minecraft debuted Superman-themed DLC that was inspired by the recent reboot movie.

Outside of the franchise, Nintendo’s upcoming cozy game Pokemon Pokopia appears to be borrowing elements from both Minecraft and Animal Crossing. But with the original Minecraft still as popular as ever, it doesn’t seem likely to be dethroned anytime soon.
