HP-Owned HyperX Gaming Headset Now Cheaper Than Last Labor Day as Amazon Clears Out Stock

by admin August 30, 2025

Playing video games with over-the-ear headphones feels like a wholly different experience than just having the audio play through your TV speakers. The word “immersion” gets tossed around so easily these days, but I get it. Having you game sound pumped right into your ears is a more immersive experience. If you don’t have a pair, you can actually get yourself a wireless gaming headset for not too much money. The HyperX Cloud III which normally goes for $150 just dropped by 33% at Amazon. That shaves $50 off the price, bringing what you pay down to only $100 for a limited time.

The audio of the HyperX Cloud II gaming headset is strong. It’s got angled 53mm drivers designed to optimizing your listening experience while gaming. Hear the pitter-patter of enemy footsteps so no one can get the jump on you when playing ranked.

Comfort Is King

The HyperX Cloud IIIs are a comfortable wear. The HyperX signature memory foam all along the headband softens and spreads out the pressure along your crown so you won’t get that weird pain some headsets can cause after a long wear. The ear cushions are plush, wrapped in a premium faux leather which serves the purpose of keeping your ears cozy and locking in the sound.

Any wireless headset worth it’s salt needs good battery life. There ain’t no point in going wireless if you always need to plug it back in to charge after just a couple Victory Royales. The HyperX Cloud III is a behemoth of power. This thing can last you up to 120 hours on a single charge. That’s five full days of battery. So long has you make a habit of plugging it back in every couple of weeks when you’re done, you’ll never have to worry about not having a charge to play. If your gaming sessions are lasting longer than five days, please see a doctor.

Not in a party chat? Just playing some solo runs of Elden Ring: Nightreign or something of the like? Go ahead and pop off the detachable microphone to get it out of the way. When you are in those chats and using the microphones, you can expect high-quality audio with clear voice coming through and going out. The mic is noise-cancelling with a built-in mesh filter to ensure your squad mates only hear your voice and not any disruptive noises in the background.

The headset is durable with it’s flexible aluminum frame. It can travel easily without worry and if you’re prone to accidentally knocking your stuff off your coffee table when you walk by, it should be just fine.

Cftc Clears Path For Americans To Trade On Foreign Crypto Exchanges

CFTC Clears Path for Americans to Trade on Foreign Crypto Exchanges

by admin August 29, 2025

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) said in a statement on Thursday that Americans will again have a clear path to trade on foreign exchanges.

The agency said non-U.S. platforms can register under existing rules that have been in place for years, therefore ending the confusion that kept many U.S. traders away from international markets.

A Clear Path Through FBOT Rules

The CFTC’s Division of Market Oversight released the guidance, explaining how foreign exchanges can register as what is called a “foreign board of trade,” or FBOT, which means any market or exchange that is outside the United States. If a foreign platform registers as an FBOT, Americans can legally use it without breaking CFTC rules.

Acting Chair Caroline Pham said the problems were caused by past policies. “Today’s FBOT advisory provides the regulatory clarity needed to legally onshore trading activity that was driven out of the United States due to the unprecedented regulation by the enforcement approach of the past several years,” Pham said in the statement.

She also said the decision will give U.S. traders more choice and access. According to her, American companies that had to move their crypto trading overseas will now have “a path back to U.S. markets.” She explained that the agency wants traders to reach the deepest and most liquid global markets without being blocked by unclear rules.

Putting an End to Years of Regulatory Confusion

There’s an important point that the advisory added. A foreign exchange that registers as an FBOT does not have to be a designated contract market, also known as a DCM. A DCM is a regulated U.S. exchange that lists contracts such as futures or options.

The difference matters because, under the Biden administration, the CFTC brought several enforcement cases against crypto platforms, saying they should have registered as DCMs.

One of the biggest cases was against Binance in 2023. The CFTC accused the exchange and its founder of failing to register as a DCM and claimed they had broken U.S. law on purpose. That case and others caused many foreign platforms to block American traders or move activity offshore.

The new guidance says the older FBOT system remains valid. To qualify, a foreign exchange must show it is properly supervised in its home country and must also agree to share information with U.S. authorities.

This HP Laptop with Office 365 Is Cheaper Than Buying Office Alone, Amazon Clears Out Stock for Labor Day

by admin August 28, 2025

It doesn’t often happen that Amazon’s best-sellers list puts a budget Windows laptop next to high-end MacBook Airs, but that’s what’s happening right now. There’s an HP 14-inch model (Intel Celeron N4020, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB Storage) that has quietly become a serious player on the platform as one of the best-selling laptops on the site, and the reason why is simple: it’s awfully cheap.

With the ongoing Labor Day sale, you can get it for $172 down from its usual $230. At that price, it’s one of the cheapest brand-new laptops you’ll find anywhere, and it’s less than some headphones or tablets. The deal becomes even harder to pass up when you factor in it also includes a one-year subscription to Microsoft 365 which alone usually costs $129 (per year). And since that comes bundled for free, you’re essentially paying close to the value of the software and getting a full-sized laptop in exchange.

Why You Should Buy It

The screen itself is a 14-inch HD micro-edge bezel panel that boasts a slim design that doesn’t scream “budget.” It’s not too small for Netflix sessions or working on documents, and its size sits comfortably in the sweet spot between being travel-friendly and being productive. The laptop is also easy to carry around thanks to a thin build and light weight which is convenient if you’re going to class or a local coffee shop.

The machine runs on Intel’s Celeron N4020 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s not built for heavy creative projects or gaming, but that isn’t what this computer is meant for. Instead, it’s built to give you coverage for normal things such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email or Zoom meetings. The storage might feel tight compared to higher-end models, but remember—Microsoft 365 allows you to access OneDrive cloud storage which means you can keep your most important files online and free up space on the device.

Battery life is always something to watch out for with cheaper laptops, but HP has managed to keep it respectable here: You’ll have hours of use out of one charge, which should be sufficient to get you through a school day or long study session. Add in preinstalled Windows 11 Home, and you’re receiving the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system with periodic updates, all for the cheap price.

At $172, this HP laptop is precariously close to “why not?” territory.

This Lenovo Laptop (12GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Office 365) Is 85% Off, Amazon Clears Inventory for Summer’s End

by admin August 26, 2025

With Amazon’s Back to School discounts currently in full swing, there’s one notebook that looks almost too good to be true: the 2025 Lenovo IdeaPad 15.6″ with a solid mid-range spec (12GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel Celeron N4500, Office 365 for one year, Windows 11 Home) for a record low price. Amazon is likely clearing out old inventory, likely without making a single penny in profit, and that makes you the beneficiary of a deal that’s too great to pass up.

This computer usually costs around $2,400 but today Amazon reduced its price to as low as $349: That’s an 85% discount, and you’ll be saving around two thousand dollars on a brand-new computer. You’re spending less than most individuals spend on a smartphone at this price point, but you’re receiving a full Windows computer bundled with a one-year subscription of Microsoft Office 365.

Great Student Laptop

Specs do matter, even in a budget-friendly machine, and this Lenovo is far from stripped down: It’s powered by an Intel Celeron N4500 processor. Although it’s not for serious gaming, it’s perfectly suited to day-to-day productivity tasks such as word processing, spreadsheets and streaming television shows. The inclusion of 12GB of DDR4 RAM is a difference-maker: multitasking is so much more responsive than the 4GB or 8GB of memory you typically find in this price category.

A fast 512GB PCIe SSD gives you speed and space which means Windows boots in a flash, programs load in a flash and still having space for a large collection of school work, work documents, or entertainment media. In addition to the SSD, there’s also a secondary 128GB eMMC that gives you additional space to work with light files or backups.

The 15.6-inch HD display features anti-glare coating so your eyes don’t get as tired during extended study sessions. Paired with Dolby Audio dual speakers, you’ll enjoy more immersion when streaming or Zoom calls. You even receive a built-in HD 720p camera with a privacy shutter which is surprisingly rare on laptops in this price range.

Connectivity is also a plus point: USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, an SD card reader, and an audio combo jack are all present and give you all the ports you’ll need to have accessories and external storage easily attached. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are integrated within so wireless speed and dependability are on tap for both online classes and easy Netflix streaming.

Discounts this intense rarely stick, and since Amazon is clearly liquidating excess stock, make sure you don’t miss it.

This Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB SSD Hits a New All-Time Low, Amazon Clears Out Stock for Labor Day

by admin August 26, 2025

Amazon’s Labor Day sales have officially launched and some of the best offers are not on everyday essentials but on real tech upgrades. That’s exactly the case with the Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB SSD, which only went on sale a few months prior for $550. Now it has dropped to as little as $372 (37% off) which is an all time low for a brand new item. Samsung’s smaller 1TB and 2TB versions are seeing price drops as well right now but they come with less dramatic dives.

4.8 Out of 5 Stars Rating

This is a PCIe 5.0 drive which means you’re effectively stepping into the latest generation of storage technology. On paper, it can push sequential read speeds up to 14,800 MB/s and write speeds of around 13,400 MB/s (double the Samsung’s legendary 990 Pro). Launching games, opening massive video projects or crunching through workloads tied to AI applications and content creation happens almost instantly.

What’s equally impressive are the random read and write numbers as it can reach up to 2,200K and 2,600K IOPS. Sounds like computer lingo, but what it really translates to is seamless multitasking with a whole lot less waiting. Edit 4K or 8K footage, train AI models or load intense workstation applications: this drive maintains your system responsiveness even at high load. Gamers benefit too with incredibly fast in-game loading and virtually zero stutter while streaming assets in-game.

There’s a fresh 5nm controller inside which cuts power consumption by nearly 50% compared to the 990 Pro and that’s gigantic for laptops that sit through long sessions and desktops trying to keep temperatures under control. There’s integrated advanced thermal management which prevents overheating and throttling even when you’re hammering the drive with constant workloads.

On the software side, Samsung continues to support its drives with its Magician software suite which updates firmware automatically, contains helpful drive health monitoring and offers extra layers of encryption for workstations that deal with sensitive information.

If you’ve been waiting for a reason to jump into PCIe 5.0 speed, this Labor Day is the perfect time.

US Judge Clears $13M BlockFi Settlement Amid Investor Claims

by admin August 23, 2025

A US court has moved swiftly to clear a $13-million settlement in the BlockFi investor lawsuit, signaling long-awaited relief. In a Thursday filing, Judge Claire Cecchi of New Jersey ordered BlockFi’s insurers to deposit the funds into escrow within 30 days. The decision followed months of delay caused by objections from an investor. A final approval hearing will now take place on December 11.

This decision addresses claims made by over 89,000 BlockFi customers who had interest-bearing accounts from March 2019 to November 2022. The corporation was charged in the 2023 class-action lawsuit of marketing unregistered securities and deceiving investors by having senior officials make false representations on multiple occasions.

Investor Claims and Bankruptcy Fallout

The complaint, which was led by Trey Greene, says the CEO Zac Prince and COO Flori Marquez ignored the warnings from their risk team. They are alleged to have made loans to Alameda Research, which contributed to BlockFi’s collapse during the market crash of 2022.

As a result, the company filed for bankruptcy after the Terra collapse set off a chain reaction of failures at Celsius, Voyager, and FTX.

Besides the settlement, BlockFi has been attempting to repay customers under its Chapter 11 plan. Last year, the company secured an $875-million agreement with FTX and Alameda to resolve disputes.

Moreover, it has promised to complete final distributions to creditors, although significant amounts remain unclaimed. In April, the BlockFi Estate confirmed on X: “There are still significant amounts of USD and crypto that have not been claimed by customers.”

Wider Industry Crackdown

The BlockFi case comes as regulators and law enforcement tighten oversight of crypto-related misconduct. Interpol revealed this week that Operation Serengeti 2.0 dismantled 25 illegal crypto mines in Angola. The raid seized $37 million in equipment and shut down 45 illicit power stations.

Additionally, authorities have apprehended over 1,200 cybercriminals who were targeting around 88,000 victims across the globe.

The recent BlockFi settlement shows that courts demand accountability, while regulators ramp up their initiatives to address the dangers associated with risky crypto practices.

Ethena Clears XRP, HYPE for USDe backing after onboarding BNB

by admin August 22, 2025

Ethena Labs has formally approved XRP and HYPE under its new Eligible Asset Framework. The metrics-driven approach, which recently onboarded BNB, mandates stringent liquidity and depth requirements for all assets backing USDe’s futures hedges.

Summary

  • Ethena Labs approved XRP and HYPE as eligible assets to back its USDe synthetic dollar, following BNB’s onboarding.
  • Both tokens cleared strict thresholds for liquidity, open interest, and trading volume under Ethena’s new Eligible Asset Framework.

According to an announcement on August 22, Ethena Labs’ independent Risk Committee has formally approved Ripple (XRP) and Hyperliquid (HYPE) tokens as eligible assets to back its USDe synthetic dollar.

The Ethena Risk Committee have established the Eligible Asset Framework, which represents a new approach to widening approved backing assets specifically for the perpetual futures portion of the collateral backing of USDe.

— Ethena Labs (@ethena_labs) August 22, 2025

The move follows the successful onboarding of Binance Coin (BNB) and is the first application of the protocol’s newly unveiled Eligible Asset Framework. Ethena Labs said the committee’s decision was based on a cold, hard analysis of quantitative data, with both assets clearing minimum thresholds for open interest, trading volume, and market depth across major exchanges.

The data behind the decision

To vet these assets, the committee relied on a rigorous data pipeline sourced primarily from the Coinglass Open API, with a cut-off date of August 16. This data spanned major centralized exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, and OKX, which serve as Ethena’s primary hedging venues.

The approval of XRP and HYPE was not a close call based on the published metrics. Both assets convincingly surpassed every minimum threshold. Each boasts a two-week average open interest well above the $1 billion benchmark, a critical measure that ensures Ethena’s trading team can establish large short positions without moving the market.

Additionally, their spot and perpetual trading volumes consistently exceeded $100 million daily, while their market depth, including the liquidity available within 1% of the current price, proved robust enough to handle significant trades without major slippage.

The committee also found that both assets cleared the 180-day minimum open interest hurdle of $300 million, demonstrating their market maturity and resilience even through periods of volatility, Ethena Labs said.

This data-centric approach also clearly delineated which assets did not make the cut. Despite their popularity and decent volatility profiles, both Sui (SUI) and Cardano (ADA) were rejected by the committee.
