Check Out System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster’s Multiplayer In New Gameplay Trailer

by admin June 8, 2025

Developer and publisher Nightdive Studios has shared a new look at System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster’s multiplayer with a new gameplay trailer. In it, we get a look at the revamped co-op multiplayer mode that Nightdive says improves upon the original 1999 game and the 2013 remaster’s multiplayer. It will feature crossplay between console and PC alongside various quality-of-life updates and refinements when the game launches on June 26.

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, which Nightdive Studios recently remade, antagonist SHODAN and her army of merciless mutants are back to infest the Von Braun starship. In this sequel, players embody a soldier who has awakened from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants grafted to his flesh, according to a press release. “As he sets out to unravel the horrifying mystery of the derelict starship, he’ll need to hone his upgradable skills and utilize powerful weapons and paranormal psionic abilities to survive the monstrous creations of SHODAN – and endure her narcissistic god complex,” the press release continues.

There’s plenty of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster to view online, but today’s new trailer is focused on its multiplayer co-op experience. Check it out below:

Nightdive says an extended version of this multiplayer trailer will air on Monday, June 9, alongside multiple deep-dive podcast interviews with team members who worked on the original System Shock 2.

System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster hits PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Humble Bundle Store on June 26.

Ripple Sec Lawsuit Settlement On June 16 Fact Check

Ripple SEC Lawsuit Settlement on June 16: Fact Check

by admin June 6, 2025

Rumors have recently gone viral on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that the long-running legal battle between Ripple Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will end on June 16. Social media posts consider June 16 as the final settlement date for the XRP lawsuit.

But, there’s no official confirmation of a settlement. Those speculating on June 16 rely on the upcoming deadline in the case, not when the court will issue the verdict. Pro-XRP attorney Fred Rispoli, clarified the significance of the June 16 date.

It marks a deadline for a status update to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. This stems from a May 15 decision by Judge Analisa Torres, who rejected a joint request from Ripple and the SEC that sought to approve a settlement deal. She ruled the filing was made under the wrong legal rule and warned she would have denied it regardless.

Importantly, since that denial, neither party has refiled a corrected motion, prompting concern and speculation. If no new filing is made by June 16, the appeals court may proceed based on the judge’s original rejection — potentially restarting the appeal process. Meanwhile the motion is valid and is brought within the deadline, it can lead to the proceedings being suspended for 60 more days.

Currently there are no papers or statements to show that the case has been settled. Any statements about the ending of the case are at most vague and only theoretical.

Upon fact checking, on June 16  the expected settlement of the Ripple SEC lawsuit is still not certain. The claims on social media about a secret agreement between the Ripple, SEC, and Judge Torres also don’t seem to be true, since there is no evidence to support them.

To summarize, the June 16 date only serves as an agreed timeframe for the next step and doesn’t decide the outcome. The existence of a secret settlement deal is yet to be confirmed

BlackRock to File for Spot XRP ETF Today: Fact Check

by admin June 2, 2025

A couple of users on X recently claimed that BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager with $11 trillion AUM, would file for a spot XRP ETF today, June 2. Now, all eyes are on the SEC filings page to check out any new filings by BlackRock.

Blackrock rumored to file for XRP ETF | Source: X

The claim that Blackrock would fill for XRP isn’t just trending for the first time. Last two weeks, a similar rumor spread that the company was planning to invest $9 trillion in XRP, but these claims came out to be false. At the moment, BlackRock would probably not consider an XRP ETF because of the legal issues that Ripple has with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Furthermore, there was another rumor back in April 2025 about the same supposed XRP Trust filing that turned out to be fake as well. This pattern of unconfirmed claims has been consistent in the XRP community, but there’s no hard evidence to support them.

BlackRock currently holds billions in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF assets that have a clearer path under U.S. regulation. The CEO Larry Fink has spoken positively about Bitcoin in the past, but he has never mentioned XRP. Even BlackRock’s head of ETFs has said they are not focused on altcoins like XRP.

Meanwhile, other asset managers like Franklin Templeton are still waiting on the SEC’s decision on their proposed spot XRP ETF. Last week, the SEC delayed its decision on products filled by 21 shares and Grayscale investment and set a new deadline for June 17. This is just to review the application properly and confirm that it reached the regulatory standard

So, BlackRock filing for an XRP ETF is very unlikely to happen. Until BlackRock releases a public statement or submits a real filing, it’s safe to say this is just another round of crypto space rumors.

Solana And Ethereum Staking Etfs To Launch In June 2025 Fact Check

Solana and Ethereum Staking ETFs to Launch in June 2025 Fact Check

by admin June 1, 2025

On Friday, REXShares filed a prospectus for new staking ETFs based on Solana (SOL) and Ethereum (ETH) for the U.S. Following this, there are speculations growing in the crypto community that these ETFs could debut within the next few weeks, likely to be in June 2025.

James Seyffart, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, has shared this news on X and said,” Don’t know launch date but could be within the next few weeks.” Even other analysts are saying that it could be approved in June.

These comments are coming based on the phrase “immediately upon filing pursuant to paragraph (b)” which is mentioned in the filing. This phrase means that the ETF prospectus becomes effective right after it is filed with the SEC, without needing to wait for a review or specific approval date. This will speed up the process and allow funds to start trading much sooner than usual.

These ETFs are unique in that they follow the 1940 Act and are structured as C-corporations.  This enables the funds to stake at least 50% of their ETH and SOL holdings and distribute staking rewards to investors.

However, the SEC said the registration forms might be “improperly filed,” and some information could be “misleading.” They worry this might confuse investors. Additionally, with no confirmed launch date for the staking of SOL and ETH, investors could remain uncertain and worried.

Binance Has Listed Pi Network’s PI Coin: Fact Check

by admin June 1, 2025

Pi Network and Binance crypto exchange are once again in the spotlight due to speculation about Pi coin being listed on Binance. Rumours are circulating on X that Binance has listed PI, generating excitement in the Pi community.

On X, a viral post said, “Binance has listed $Pi, I think Binance has taken the first step of launch. The next step is to witness the miracle.” An image was also shared, showing Pi’s price as if it were listed on the Binance exchange.

However, there has been no official announcement from either Pi Network or Binance. As of now, Pi coin is not available for trading on the Binance exchange.

In the past, Binance launched a “Vote to List” event, allowing users to vote for tokens they want listed, including Pi coin. Binance also ran a separate community poll asking users if Pi should be listed. Yet, listing is not guaranteed through the poll. A crypto has to meet all listing criteria, such as trading volume, risk checks, and compliance, according to Binance’s clear statement.

Earlier, Binance thrilled Pi Network fans by posting innovative graphics that featured the π (Pi) symbol. However, these posts were purely graphics and not official announcements.

North Korea’s Kim Jong Un Orders Citizens to Buy Bitcoin: Fact Check

by admin May 31, 2025

A viral video circulating on social media claims to show North Korean leader Kim Jong Un delivering an “emotional” speech about Bitcoin. In the video, Kim looks like he’s ordering people to buy Bitcoin at all costs. He seems to be saying: “Take all your money, buy Bitcoin, then take all your time, figure out how to borrow more money to buy more Bitcoin.”

Is North Korea’s Kim Jong Un Urging People to Buy Bitcoin?

However, this is not an authentic clip of Kim Jong Un. The video is a deepfake that mismatches visuals of the North Korean leader with audio from a speech made by Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor.

“There is no second best crypto asset,” the voice says in the video. The video adds, “There’s a crypto asset, it’s called Bitcoin, right? There is no second best, okay?”

The original audio comes from a widely shared clip of Saylor promoting Bitcoin as the superior digital asset. In this speech, he also declares: “Go mortgage your house and buy Bitcoin with it.”

The mismatch between the lip movements and the audio in the video, combined with the known source of the speech, confirms the clip is fake. It’s most likely that Deepfake technology used to overlay Saylor’s words onto the footage of North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

This video is a clear example of misinformation in the crypto community. Thus, viewers are urged to verify sources before sharing sensational content. Hence, it’s important to note that the actual speaker in the video is Michael Saylor, not Kim Jong Un.

China to Buy $300 Million XRP for Crypto Reserve: Fact Check

by admin May 30, 2025

A viral claim is making rounds on social media that China is planning to buy up to $300 million worth of XRP to build a “strategic crypto reserve” and compete with the U.S. The claims are totally misleading, and it is not true.

These speculations came after Webus International Limited, a Hangzhou-based corporation, recently announced that it will offer luxury AI-driven chauffeur services and is currently trying to grow internationally. As part of that move, Webus will raise $300 million in XRP with non-equity financing such as bank loans and institutional credit.

The goal is to support international travel services and integrate XRP for fast, low-cost global payments. So yes, XRP is involved, but it’s the company, not the Chinese government, making this move.

In fact, China has recently doubled down on its crypto crackdown. Reports suggest a new ban that even targets individual crypto ownership, not just trading or mining. The government is focused on promoting its own central bank digital currency (CBDC) — the digital yuan.

The confusion comes from mixing up two different stories. One is about a Chinese company, Webus, using XRP and raising $300 million to grow its international business. The other is about China’s government, which is actually banning crypto, not buying it. Since both stories involve China and XRP, some people wrongly assumed the government was behind the XRP purchase. However, that’s not true.

Check Out Metal Gear Solid Delta’s Remade Version Of The Iconic ‘Snake Eater’ Opening Movie

by admin May 23, 2025

Konami has released the remade version of Metal Gear Solid 3’s famous opening movie, which will kick off Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater when it arrives this August. This clean version of the intro cinematic allows fans and newcomers to more clearly enjoy the newly recorded vocals for the classic “Snake Eater” song.

Although this new version retains the James Bond-like motion graphics and slithering snake skeleton, it features completely new scenes compared to the 2004 original. For example, this updated version highlights the members of the Cobra Unit who were absent from the original. “Snake Eater” has also been re-recorded by its original performer, Cynthia Harrell.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a complete remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5. The original story and voice acting have been preserved, but the game features enhancements such as 3D audio and new graphical flourishes, such as Snake’s clothing degrading over time. The control scheme has been reworked and modernized, but fans can still play using the classic control setup. Additionally, the remake lets players choose between experiencing the game using a new third-person behind-the-shoulder view and the original game’s overhead viewpoint (known as Legacy Style).

You can pick up Naked Snake’s revamped adventure when it launches on August 28 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out previous trailers showing off gameplay, as well as our list of upcoming video game remakes.
