This Anker 3-in-1 wireless charging station is 30 percent off right now

by admin August 18, 2025

Anker makes some of our favorite charging gear, and now you can save on a bunch of wireless power accessories from the brand. Whether you’re going back to school soon or want a new charging station that can power up a few devices at once, there are discounts here worth considering. One of the best is this 3-in-1 MagSafe charging station, on sale for a record low price of $63. The Qi2-certified charger wirelessly charges your compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods on one compact and convenient dock. Qi2 boasts 15W of power, so you can take advantage of fast charging on compatible devices.

This means the station can charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max to 20 percent in just 20 minutes and an Apple Watch Series 10 from zero to 100 percent in just over an hour. The magnetic stand for your iPhone is adjustable with 45 degrees of vertical rotation and 360 degrees of horizontal rotation, so you can always find the perfect angle for your phone while charging.

Anker

Being able to wirelessly charge these three daily devices at once might remind you of Apple’s wireless charging pad that never was, but Anker’s 3-in-1 charging station offers an elegant solution. We tend to like Anker’s charging products, and we’ve found they make some of the best charging stations on the market.

Anker’s products can be a bit pricey, though, which is why the best time to pick them up is during these sales. The company actually has a slew of its charging products on sale right now. Its 3-in-1 wireless charging cube is 31 percent off right now, and its foldable 3-in-1 travel wireless charger is 22 percent off. If your iPhone is Qi2 compatible, then you might also look at Anker’s simple Qi2 charging pad, which is 35 percent off for a two-pack right now.

Nintendo Switch 2 Controller Charging Docks Are Cheap, But There’s A Catch

by admin June 20, 2025

Nintendo Switch 2 users have two official methods for charging the new Joy-Con 2 Controllers for wireless play. Out of the box, you can dock the console with the controllers attached before removing them for TV mode, either connected to the grip or turned to the side for single Joy-Con controls. For $40, you can replace the standard grip with the Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip, which lets you charge the right and left controllers while playing. But if you have an extra set of Joy-Con 2 Controllers for local multiplayer, you’ll either need to purchase two Charging Grips or take turns charging each pair.

Nintendo and its third-party partners have released plenty of notable Switch 2 accessories already, but we have yet to see officially licensed charging docks for Joy-Con 2 Controllers. We imagine those will start popping up before long, but what about right now? Unofficial controller charging docks for Switch 2 exist already–in fact, there are tons of Joy-Con 2 charging stations at Amazon, including models that charge four or more controllers at once. Some of the manufacturers currently producing Joy-Con 2 charging stations have made popular, well-received controller chargers for original Joy-Con Controllers as well as the PS5 DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controllers.

Quick look: Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 Charging Stations

Disclaimer: None of the controller chargers listed above or shown below are officially licensed. While many of them are known brands with solid track records, there’s always the small possibility they won’t work as intended or will damage to your controllers. Unofficial controller chargers for other platforms, including the original Switch, generally work perfectly fine, and it’s very rare for an accessory like this to damage your controller. But since they don’t have the official Nintendo seal of approval, this is a “buy at your own risk” situation. If you want to play it as safe as possible, the Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip is the way to go. The official grip has built-in back buttons and lets you play while charging via the detachable USB-C cable.

Switch 2 Joy-Con Charging Docks – third-party, not licensed by Nintendo

Of the unofficial products, the Mumba Charging Dock has been the most popular on Amazon since the Switch 2’s launch earlier this month. It has sold over 1,000 units in the past month and has earned great reviews from buyers so far. Offering a compact design that holds and charges up to four Joy-Con 2, it’s a frugal choice at just $20. It even manages to pack in some cool RGB lights and overcharge protection.

Two different options from Fastsnail have great reviews and are among the top sellers, too. There’s a $15 standard docking station for four Joy-Con 2 Controllers as well as a versatile 8-in-1 model with slots that support Switch 2 and original Switch Joy-Con Controllers. Instead of an upright position, the controllers are placed on their sides like mouse mode.

NexiGo has manufactured a number of popular console controller chargers over the past few years, and the brand’s two newest models are for Switch 2. NexiGo’s traditional Switch 2 docking station is getting a limited-time discount at Amazon that drops it to $22 (was $25). Magnetic connections hold your Joy-Con 2 in place as they charge, LED indicators let you know when they’re ready for action, and various protections like overvoltage and overcurrent protection should help keep your controllers safe even though this is an unofficial product. NexiGo also has a model for four controllers that’s similar to Fastsnail’s 8-in-1 edition.

Take a look at some of the Joy-Con 2 charging stations below. We’ve included lists of key specs and features for each product.

Adaptive Power in iOS 26 Is About to Make Your iPhone Much Smarter About Charging

by admin June 12, 2025

Usually, I’m the one adapting my behavior based on the power remaining in my iPhone, but starting this fall, I can ask my iPhone to do more of the adapting. A new Adaptive Power setting in iOS 26 can extend battery power by intelligently trimming energy usage in small ways that add up to extend the time before you need to recharge.

See also: Adaptive Power in iOS 26 Could Save the iPhone 17 Air From This Major Pitfall

Currently, the iPhone uses as much power as it needs to perform its tasks. You can extend the battery life by doing a number of things such as decreasing screen brightness and turning off the always-on display. Or, if your battery level is starting to get dire, you can activate Low Power Mode, which reduces background activity like fetching mail and downloading data in addition to those screen adjustments. Low Power Mode also kicks in automatically when the battery level reaches 20%.

If Low Power Mode is the hammer that knocks down power consumption, Adaptive Power is the scalpel that intelligently trims energy savings here and there as needed. Based on Apple’s description that accompanies the control, the savings will be felt mostly in power-hungry situations such as recording videos, editing photos or perhaps even playing games:

“When your battery usage is higher than usual, iPhone can make small performance adjustments to extend your battery life, including slightly lowering the display brightness or allowing some activities to take a little longer. Low Power Mode may turn on at 20%.”

Adaptive Power is not on by default and you’ll need to opt-in to use it. In iOS 26, you’ll find the Adaptive Power toggle in Settings > Battery > Power Mode.

In iOS 26, turn on the Adaptive Power option to help extend battery life. (IOS 26 developer build shown here.)

Screenshot by Patrick Holland/CNET

Since Adaptive Power appears to be using AI in deciding which settings and processes to adjust, I suspect the feature will be available on iPhone models that support Apple Intelligence, which include the iPhone 15 Pro and later. A Reddit thread about Adaptive Power suggests this is the case, with commenters noting it does not show up in iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro models with the beta installed.

Adaptive Power sounds like an outgrowth of Gaming Mode, introduced in iOS 18, which routes all available processing and graphics power to the frontmost app and pauses other processes in order to deliver the best experience possible — at the notable expense of battery life.

Although we all want as much battery life as possible all the time, judging by the description it sounds as if Adaptive Power’s optimizations will not always be active, even if you leave the feature on. “When your battery usage is higher than usual” could include a limited number of situations. Still, considering that according to a CNET survey 61% of people upgrade their phones because of battery life, a feature such as Adaptive Power could extend the longevity of their phones just by updating to iOS 26.

I also wonder whether slightly adjusting display brightness could be disruptive. But because the feature is also selectively de-prioritizing processing tasks, it suggests that the outward effects will be minimal.

We’ll know more about how well Adaptive Power works as the iOS 26 beta program nears the expected release date in September or October — battery optimizations are often the last tweaks to be made to operating systems in development just before shipping. If you want to start giving iOS 26 a spin, you can download the first developer beta now; a public beta is expected in July. Just remember that beta software carries risks, especially these first iterations that have recently been set loose from Apple’s labs.

Belkin’s new line of Switch 2 accessories include a simple but effective charging case

by admin June 5, 2025

Belkin is best known for high-quality smartphone accessories, but just like everyone else, it appears it has a case of Nintendo Switch 2 fever. The company has announced that it will be selling several Switch 2 accessories in time for the console’s launch, including screen protectors and a charging case that comes with a power bank.

The Charging Case for Nintendo Switch 2 is the thicker of Belkin’s two case options, primarily because it has a designated spot for an included 10K external battery. The case also includes a flap for storing Switch 2 game cartridges, a hidden pocket for slotting an AirTag so you can track the case if it’s lost and slots on either side of the battery for cables and other accessories. When you need to prop up your Switch 2 with its kickstand while it’s charging, there’s also a groove in the case that’s specifically designed to hold it.

Belkin

If you’re looking for something more compact and portable, the Travel Case for Nintendo Switch 2 is only moderately thicker than the console itself. Like the charging case, the travel case includes a built-in sleeve for Switch 2 game cartridges and a spot to hide an AirTag. It also has a built-in handle and a wrist strap so you have multiple ways to carry it when you’re out and about.

For an extra layer of protection, Belkin is also selling two different screen protector options: a Tempered Glass Anti-Reflective Screen Protector and a Tempered Glass Blue Light Screen Protector. Both will shield your Switch 2’s screen from major scratches and can be applied in a few steps. In the case of the blue light screen protector, Belkin is also claiming that it’ll help reduce eye strain if you use your console for an extended period of time. Whichever you pick, just don’t remove the Switch 2’s pre-installed protective film before you apply.

All of Belkin’s new accessories are available to order today from Belkin’s website and Amazon. You can get either the Charging Case or Travel Case in gray, tan or green, and the cases cost $70 or $30, respectively. The Tempered Glass Anti-Reflective Screen Protector costs $25 and the Tempered Glass Blue Light Screen Protector costs $30.

Anker’s 3-in-1 Foldable Charging Cube Is an Apple Fan’s Must-Buy While It’s Cheaper Than Previous Prime Days

by admin June 4, 2025

Three-in-one chargers for your smartphone, smartwatch, and wireless earbuds aren’t new, but their design tends to range from “a little too big” to “takes up my whole nightstand.” Not surprisingly, the innovative, attractive, and seriously effective solution for Apple users comes from Anker in the form of the 3-in-1 Cube With MagSafe, and it’s on sale right now at Amazon for just $113, a 25% drop from its regular retail price of $150.

The Anker 3-in-1 Cube is exclusively designed for Apple products, ready to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at the same time, or 2 at a time, or just the iPhone. It folds down into a neat-looking cube, roughly 2.3 inches square and weighing just 0.9 pounds. When fully folded it can give any MagSafe-enabled iPhone a brisk 15W charge, but then when you extend the retractable Apple Watch charger and tilt up the lid to reveal another charging surface for your AirPods, you suddenly have all of your Apple device charging needs amply met by a compact, reliable charger that’s perfect for your travel bag.

See at Amazon

Home and Away Power

We love the Anker 3-in-1 Cube as a travel charger. Not only does it fit neatly in a carry-on bag, it’s a huge upgrade from any of the unreliable USB chargers that tend to occupy hotel nightstands. The Anker 3-in-1 Cube just needs an AC outlet for its included 30W charging block and 5-foot USB-C cable. From there it’s a quick lift of the iPhone platform and press of the retractable Apple Watch stand, and that terrible USB charger in the nightstand lamp never needs to be used.

Assuming you don’t travel all the time, there’s no reason to leave the Cube in your go bag, because it’s also tailor made for your nightstand or desk, especially if you’re already a little overcrowded on either. The small footprint of the Anker 3-in-1 Cube is deal for space management and the adjustable angle of the iPhone charger means you can watch content or make video calls hands-free from your desk.

Secure Grip

The Anker Cube charges any MagSafe enabled iPhone, meaning anything from the iPhone 12 family on up to the current 16s, but it is recommended that you not use a non-magnetic case that would impede the Cube’s built-in magnet. But if you have a magnetic case or you’re one of those brave souls who goes without a case, the Cube’s magnet is strong enough to hold your iPhone in place for charging and viewing, both in portrait or landscape orientation.

A sturdy, compact, ultra-reliable MagSafe fast charger that accommodates all of your Apple devices at once without monopolizing your nightstand or desk is a sweet deal to begin with, but tack on Amazon’s 25% discount and at just $113, the Anker 3-in-1 Cube is a total steal that you’ll use whether you’re home or on the road.

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe review: impressively steadfast for its size, and perfect for StandBy mode

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe review

The Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe is a weighty charging stand that can wirelessly charge an Apple Watch along with a compatible phone or earbuds case. It has a list price of $119.99 / £109.99 on the Belkin website, and can also be found at Amazon, with occasional offers appearing from both retailers in the form of discounts or purchase incentives.

At that price, it’s clear the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe isn’t a budget option. But that doesn’t stop it offering a sturdy yet space-saving wireless charging solution that’ll happily charge three Apple devices, albeit not at the same time.

The 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe comes in two colorways: Charcoal or Sand. The charger I’ve tested is the Charcoal model, which is composed of a super-soft-to-the-touch silicone-like outer material, with metallic accents on the charging pad hinge and the Apple Watch charging puck holder that’s fixed to the back of the charging stand. It became clear that dust could pose a problem straight out of the box, as the silicone material acted like a dust and lint magnet, so it took a bit of effort to keep it looking its best.

I was pleased to find that a 30W USB-C power supply comes as standard, as one should expect for the price, and the USB-C power cable is braided, giving it a more premium feel. This detail is something I don’t see all that often, even amongst the best wireless chargers, but very much appreciate when it comes along, as I did when I reviewed the ESR Qi2 Mini Wireless Charger, too. This is not simply because it looks good, but because it can often withstand more action than standard flexible plastic coverings that can split over time. The cable isn’t removable, which I’m usually not a fan of, but I’m not fussed in this instance, as this charging dock clearly isn’t designed to be relocated regularly, plus it reduces the chance of someone else in your household pinching the cable to power something else.

As the 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe had dimensions of 4.1 x 2.8 x 3.1 inches / 105 x 71 x 78 mm, it was nice that I could charge all of my devices without taking up a load of desktop or nightstand space. And I really appreciated the adjustable viewing angles that the charging dock offered, as I could keep the pad flat to charge my earbuds, or angle it up to 70 degrees to watch content on my iPhone, or toggle StandBy Mode. I found the non-slip base, strong MagSafe grip, and 1 lb / 450g weight of the charging dock to be reliable for the entirity of my testing, standing its ground and keeping a firm hold of my phone despite my poking and prodding.

As a brand, Belkin looks to be paying particular attention to the environmental impact of their products, and it was nice to see that the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe came in plastic-free packaging. Belkin also states this wireless charger includes a minimum of 60% post-consumer recycled materials, too.

In terms of iPhone charging speeds, this MagSafe charging dock lagged almost 20 minutes behind other 2-in-1 wireless chargers I’ve tested from competitors like Anker and UGreen, taking 142 minutes to recharge our iPhone 13 Pro, which has a battery capacity of 2,600mAh. The Apple Watch charging speed was another story, however, as it took just 58 minutes to fully charge my Apple Watch Series 9, making it one of the fastest Apple Watch chargers I’ve tested to date.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a reliable multi-device wireless charger to take up residence on your desk or nightstand, then the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Dock with MagSafe is well worth your consideration. It may not be the fastest iPhone charger out there, but it’s perfect for passive charging while you work or catch some Zs, and the speedy Apple Watch charging speed is definitely a bonus. If you’re still on the fence about which wireless charger format would work best for you, I recommend checking out my selection of the best wireless chargers for some inspiration.

UGreen 2-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Station review: Satisfyingly small and easy to fold

by admin June 3, 2025

We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

UGreen 2-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Station review

The UGreen 2-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Station is a wireless charging stand comprising a Qi base and upper Qi2 module that conveniently folds down into a compact charging cuboid. It offers the convenience and versatility, plus the bonus of a 5W USB-C output on the right-hand side of the base, meaning it could be upgraded to a 3-in-1 charger easily with the addition of an Apple Watch charging puck.

With a list price of $49.99 / £39.99, the UGreen 2-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Station is available to purchase from the UGreen website or Amazon. This isn’t a bad price for a space-saving 2-in-1 wireless charger – especially one with the benefit of an additional output. But I’d still hold out paying full price, as offers can often be found from both retailers, with the price dropping to $43 / £19.99 at the time of writing.

As there’s no adapter included, and the USB-C to USB-C cable provided is a little on the short side at just 3.3ft / 1 meter long, the UGreen 2-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Foldable Fast Charging Station proved a bit of a disappointment in the accessory department. It isn’t unusual not to get an adapter these days, even with some of the best wireless chargers, but when it comes to multi-device chargers, the chance of already having one to hand that’s powerful enough is a bit slimmer. In this charger’s case, UGreen recommends a wall adapter of at least 30W to ensure efficiency.

You may like

At a size of 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.5 inches / 61 x 61 x 38mm when folded, and weighing 7.5oz / 213g, the Foldable Fast Charging Station was pleasingly compact and lightweight. I found the foldable design really satisfying, particularly how easy it was to fold the charger back into a little cuboid one-handed, which proved convenient whenever I needed to top up my ear buds, or when I wanted to tidy it out of the way.

The Foldable Fast Charging Station is only available in one colorway, a combination of black and graphite, but it has some nice touches like the metallic finish of the graphite-colored outer casing and the mirror finish on the hinged arm that connects the two charging modules. Able to angle the phone by up to 70 degrees, this hinged arm made this a useful phone stand, and its sturdy mechanisms did a great job of maintaining the angles I adjusted it to. The only slight downside to this is that it’s tricky to change the position when a phone is in situ, but that’s only a minor inconvenience.

UGreen promises 360-degree rotation when the phone is magnetically attached to the Qi2 charging pad, and I can confirm this to be the case. But while this made changing my phone’s orientation effortless, it also meant that the slightest nudge would leave my phone askew.

I didn’t encounter any problems with the overall stability of the 2-in-1 Charging Station when it was unfolded to a stand, but it did have a small case of the wobbles whenever the phone screen was touched. Fortunately, this shakiness stemmed from where the charging pad meets the hinged arm, not from an unstable base, but it’s something to be aware of if that’s likely to prove irritating.

Despite its compact size, I wouldn’t recommend using it as a travel charger. I found there was a bit of movement in one of the side panels as I was checking the build quality, and the Qi2 charging pad flexed a little upon pressing my finger on it, so I’d be wary of packing it in my luggage unless I could guarantee nothing could press against it.

The iPhone charging performance was good for the price, taking 125 minutes to charge our iPhone 13 Pro, which has a battery capacity of 2,600mAh. When it came to charging out Xiaomi 14, which has a battery capacity of 4,610mAh, it took 280 minutes.

When it came to assessing the cosmetics at the end of testing, I was pleased to see the metallic plastic outer still seemed to look like new, even after weeks of being handled. It was a different story for the surface of the Qi2 charging pad, however, which was prone to showing fingerprints and ended up with several little scuff marks. The fingerprints could be cleaned off, at least, though they proved very stubborn to remove, leading me to resort to alcohol wipes.

If you can look past the jiggling issue and the easily marked Qi2 charging pad, you’ll find this is a great little charger that offers convenience and versatility in a satisfyingly small package. If you’re looking for something that’ll look fresher for longer, or want a charger with more or fewer charging modules, then I suggest taking a look at my selection of the best wireless chargers.

Twelve South’s slick 3-in-1 charging stand has dropped to a new low price

by admin May 24, 2025

Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer, and if you somehow managed to skip your spring cleaning earlier this year, the turning of the season offers a fresh chance to declutter your space. Thankfully, the Twelve South HiRise 3 Deluxe offers a stylish way to organize your desk or bedside table, and it’s currently available for a new low of $79.99 ($20 off) from Amazon and Twelve South.

Twelve South’s sturdy HiRise 3 Deluxe is a great 3-in-1 charging stand for a number of reasons. Not only can it deliver up to 15W of power to MagSafe-compatible iPhones, but it’s also capable of fast-charging an Apple Watch Series 7 and newer models. It includes a 7.5W wireless charging pad as well, which you can use to top off a pair of AirPods or any other Qi-compatible device you might have on hand, including a second phone, a Samsung Galaxy Watch, or other electronics.

What truly sets it apart from a lot of other 3-in-1 chargers, though, is its design; instead of placing the charging pads side-by-side, Twelve South has arranged them in a front-to-back layout to reduce desk clutter. Plus, thanks to the charger’s support for StandBy mode — an ultra-handy feature Apple first introduced in iOS 17 — you can also use your phone as a mini smart display when you place it horizontally on the adjustable charging pad, allowing you to quickly check the time, view your daily schedule, and take advantage of useful widgets with ease.

More Memorial Day savings
