Marvel Snap Players Can Grab A Free Premium Card Right Now

by admin June 11, 2025

Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner is now the official publisher of the free-to-play card game, and to celebrate, the studio will be giving out a few freebies through its newly launched Web Shop.

The game was previously published by Nuverse, and Second Dinner says that the new digital storefront will give players more control over their purchases and offer bonus rewards not available in the iOS, Android, and PC in-game shops. To kick things off, players can log into the Web Shop and claim the following free items with the promo code WEBLAUNCH.

  • 1 x Premium Mystery Variant
  • 1 x Premium Mystery Border
  • 3 x high-value one-time purchase bundles
  • Daily Free Claim Boost: 200 Credits per day

The freebies available here are pretty good, as these items normally cost quite a bit when using the in-game “Gold” currency. A Premium Mystery variant on its own costs 800 Gold, and that’s a sum that typically takes around a month to earn in the game if you don’t buy the monthly season pass. Also on the horizon is a weekly promotional event called Web Shop Wednesdays, and players will be able to claim a free Common Mystery Border for one of their cards. A $5 bundle will also be offered, and this includes a Common Mystery Border and 600 Gold.

Second Dinner has made several big changes to Marvel Snap since it first launched in 2022, with one of the biggest being a complete overhaul of how cards are acquired. Players can now earn Collector’s Tokens that can be used to purchase cards, and regular play makes it easy enough to unlock at least one of the older cards every week. The newer cards require more grinding, but earning them is still much easier compared to the older system that was in place.

Marvel Snap’s current season, Masters of the Arcane, also began earlier this month, and it focuses on several of Marvel’s mystical characters like Merlin, Morgan Le Fay, and Nicholas Scratch.

How to use Red Access Card and Blue Access Card in Warzone Verdansk

by admin June 7, 2025

(Updated with Verdansk Bunker 0 code)

Verdansk’s bunkers are back in Call of Duty: Warzone, and they’re packing valuable loot. But to get inside most of them, you’ll need either a Red Access Card or a Blue Access Card.

Inside the bunkers, you’ll find high-tier gear and rare weapons, including the Specialist Perk, which grants you the effects of every perk. Even though the keycard-accessible bunkers usually have lower-tier loot, they can still give you a solid advantage, especially early in the match.

Here’s everything you need to know about the special keycards on Verdansk.

How to find the Red and Blue Access Cards in Warzone Verdansk

These keycards can show up at random when you open loot crates around the map. They’re not super common, but keep looting and you’ll eventually come across one, especially in high-value loot zones. Another solid place to check is inside bunkers and secret rooms, where there’s a better chance you’ll find a keycard in there.

How to use the Access Cards in Verdansk

Bunkers require a specific key card. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Using these special keycards is pretty straightforward. Just head to one of the numbered bunkers and interact with the keypad to unlock the door. However, not every bunker works with an access card, and some require a specific color to open.

You’ll need a Red Access Card for Bunkers 4, 5, 6, and 9, while the Blue Access Card unlocks Bunkers 2, 7, and 8. Check out the screenshot below for a full map of all the bunker locations in Verdansk.

There are 12 bunkers to open. Screenshot by Dot Esports

To make it easier for you to find the keycard-accessible bunkers, see the screenshots below for a clear, pinpointed look at their locations.

Bunkers 7 and 8 are located across from one another within the same area. So if you’ve found one of them, just turn and look around to see the other.

Warzone Verdansk bunker codes

Some bunkers in Verdansk don’t use access cards. Instead, they need special codes to unlock. Bunkers 0, 1, 3, and 10 all require specific codes, while Bunker 11 can only be opened by completing an Easter egg quest. Below you can see the codes for Bunkers 1, 3, and 10, while Bunker 0’s code is yet to be discovered.

  • Bunker 0 code: 01011000 (binary code for “X”)
  • Bunker 1 code: 04222021
  • Bunker 3 code: 30198805
  • Bunker 10 code: 31547206

Since the bunkers are spread out across different POIs, I highly recommend getting a helicopter to get around quickly. If you can’t find one, an LTV or Polaris will still do the job. Also, make sure to gear up with some solid weapons from loot boxes before heading to a bunker because chances are other squads might be going for them too, so you’ll want to be ready for an encounter.

This article will be updated when new information about the Verdansk bunkers becomes available.

Family card business “heartbroken” after $100K of rare Pokemon cards stolen

by admin June 4, 2025

A family card business is “heartbroken” after $100,000 worth of Pokémon cards were lifted out of their possession.

Pokémon cards have always been big business, but the sales side of things has exploded in popularity in the last few years. Collectors have gone digging through the family homes in the hopes that they still have their original collection and cards that could be worth big money.

However, with big money being involved, there has been plenty of nefarious activity too. Fake cards have been floated, scalpers have bought up boxes so that actual collectors have to shell out above retail, and incredibly expensive cards have been stolen.

While criminals have gone to prison for stealing cards, businesses are left in the lurch for a while as they try to recover.

Texas Pokémon collectors have $100k stolen in cards & cash

On June 2, family business Evolutions Trading was broken into by criminals who targeted a number of high-value cards and cash.

The Killeen, Texas-based collectors revealed that “an estimated $100,000 worth of vintage Pokémon cards” were stolen in the robbery. This included Skyridge Umbreon, a Gold Star Charizard, and a FireRed LeafGreen Charizard EX, which are all graded 10. These have price tags of $10,000, $18,000, and $5,000, respectively.

“This is a devastating moment for our small, family-owned business. We’ve poured our hearts into building a space for collectors, players, and the community. To have it violated like this is heartbreaking,” they said on Facebook.

The Pokemon collectors noted that the criminals were masked and their security cameras didn’t get all that great of a look at them. That has been passed onto law enforcement to deal with.

Their town came together for a ‘Trade Night’ that saw people donate money, helping them clean up the broken glass, and, of course, buy cards.

“We will come back from this. Stronger, more determined, and more grateful than ever,” they said.

AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card roundup: Every announced card from every AIB partner

by admin June 3, 2025

The RX 9060 XT launches on June 5th but that has not stopped AMD’s partners from showing off their respective versions beforehand. Asus, Sapphire, XFX, ASRock and Gigabyte have released listings of 8GB and 16GB versions of the RX 9060 XT boasting triple-fan and dual-fan cooling solutions. We’ve put together a list of all partner models from the aforementioned brands below.

AMD’s RX 9060 XT is its latest generation mid-range GPU, aimed at competing against GPUs like the all-new RTX 5060. The new GPU boasts 2,048 shader cores, 32 CUs, a 128-bit interface, and runs on AMD’s latest RDNA 4 architecture. Essentially, the RX 9060 XT is an RX 9070 XT that has been cut in half.

AMD is offering two memory capacities for the RX 9060 XT, 8GB and 16GB, with the 8GB variant featuring a 10W lower power rating than the 16GB model (at least for the reference specs). AMD claims the 8GB variant will be “good enough” for 1080p gamers, while the 16GB counterpart is geared towards higher resolutions.

MSRP for the 8GB model is $299, and the 16GB model $349. Of course, AIB partner model pricing will vary and be more expensive than MSRP, depending on the model.

Sapphire

Sapphire — one of the most recognized AMD partners, has four RX 9060 XT models in its arsenal consisting of one Nitro+ variant, one Pure variant and two Pulse models.

The Nitro+ model is Sapphire’s flagship version of the RX 9060 XT, available exclusively in 16GB capacity. It is one of the most exotic 9060 XT cards featuring a fat triple-slot cooler design with a massive grille on the side that serves both aesthetical appeal and functionality. The side area is so large that Sapphire was able to fit a RGB bar on the bottom, while providing more than enough room for air to travel out the side simultaneously.

The Nitro+ variant comes with a variety of features including fuse protection, fan quick disconnects (for easy fan replacements), an internal ARGB header, and FrameDefense; a special architecture that provides improved graphics card durability and rigidity. The Nitro+ model also comes with a Honeywell PTM7950 thermal pad instead of thermal paste, allowing the card to function for years without the effects of thermal paste degradation (or “pump out”).

Get Tom’s Hardware’s best news and in-depth reviews, straight to your inbox.

One feature that is missing from the RX 9060 XT variant is a hidden 12V-2×6 power connector; a feature that the RX 9070 series counterparts came with. Instead, Sapphire opted to put the RX 9060 XT’s 8-pin power connector on the side where it normally sits on most graphics cards

The Pure variant is technically Sapphire’s mid-range offering, featuring a white finish and a dual-fan cooler design, though in the RX 9060 XT’s case, it is essentially a white version of the Pulse model.

The Pulse models are Sapphire’s entry-level solutions featuring a black finish with red accents. Both the Pure and Pulse models share many of the Nitro+’s features including the Honeywell PTM7950 thermal pad and FrameDefense. The main advantage of the Pure and Pulse models are their smaller 2.3 slot form factor and shorter footprint afforded to them by their more compact dual-fan cooler designs.

XFX

Image 1 of 5

(Image credit: XFX)(Image credit: XFX)(Image credit: XFX)(Image credit: XFX)(Image credit: XFX)

Contrary to Gigabyte, XFX has a plethora of RX 9060 XT models with a whopping 12 models in total comprised of triple-fan and dual-fan cooler options in both 8GB and 16GB trims. In typical XFX fashion, the AIB partner barely shows any features of their GPUs beyond core specs.

The Mercury class is XFX’s flagship lineup, consisting of two identical 16GB triple-fan models (with the only difference noticeable being each card’s physical model name). The Mercy cards sport an aggressive-looking triple-fan design with a sharp angular shroud and a silver color scheme.

The Swift class represents XFX’s mainstream lineup of RX 9060 XT graphics cards, including triple and dual fan cooler options. The triple fan options are comprised of five models, three featuring 16GB trims and the other 8GB trims. Out of the five models, two are white and four are black. The triple-fan cards come with a boxy shroud with either a pure white or pure black color scheme, along with an XFX logo on the right side that is illuminated.

The dual-fan options are comprised of five models as well, with four black models, and two white models. Three of the cards are 8GB variants while the other two are 16GB. These smaller cards carry on the same aesthetic and shroud design as their triple-fan counterparts but forgo illumination on the XFX logo on the side.

Despite having an impressive number of variants, none are factory overclocked.

Asus

Image 1 of 3

(Image credit: Asus)(Image credit: Asus)(Image credit: Asus)

Asus is providing four versions of the RX 9060 XT: one Dual model, two Prime variants, and a single TUF Gaming SKU. Memory capacities are split based on model hierarchy; the Dual gets the 8GB RX 9060 XT trim, the Prime lineup gets both 8GB and 16GB trims, and the TUF Gaming gets the 16GB version.

The TUF Gaming card represents Asus’ flagship graphics card for the RX 9060 XT series, featuring a rugged militaristic design with aggressive edges, and a gunmetal color theme with silver accents. The card is a 2.5-slot design, featuring a triple-fan cooling solution with “Military-Grade Components” such as TUF-branded chokes and MOSFETS.

The Prime cards feature the same 2.5-slot form factor and a similar triple-fan cooler design as the TUF Gaming model. Most notably, the card’s aesthetic is radically different, boasting a less aggressive black finish with a very round shroud on the edges. The Prime models boast a look that works in both non-gaming and gaming-focused builds.

The Dual model represents Asus’ entry-level and only dual-fan cooling solution for its RX 9060 XT graphics card lineup. The card has the same 2.5 slot design as its triple-fan counterparts but is much shorter thanks to its dual-fan cooler design. The card boasts a stealthy black color scheme and no RGB lighting.

Gigabyte

Gigabyte is only offering one RX 9060 XT model at this time, that being a RX 9060 XT Gaming sporting a triple-fan cooler design. Gigabyte is offering four versions of this specific model, an 8GB SKU, 16GB SKU and factory overclocked versions of both.

With other GPUs, Gigabyte’s Gaming series represents its mid-range solution usually sandwiched between the Windforce and Eagle series below and the Aorus series above. The cooler is comprised of a triple-fan cooling solution with composite copper heat pipes and a copper plate connecting the GPU, VRAM and heatsink together. Power delivery is comprised of lower RDS(on) MOSFETs and ESR solid capacitors.

The card also uses Gigabyte’s “server-grade” thermal conductive gel that has been prone to leaking in the past, but does not affect reliability (the issue has also since been allegedly solved by Gigabyte). The exterior is largely minimalistic sporting a rugged-esque grey finish with minimal RGB lighting.

We have not heard if Gigabyte will be releasing other variants of the RX 9060 XT, but at least for now, the Gaming cards will be its sole RX 9060 XT model.

ASRock

Image 1 of 2

ASRock has two RX 9060 XT models in total, a Steel Legend variant, which features a white triple-fan cooler design, and a Challenger model, which is its budget-friendly dual-fan scounterpart. All of ASRock’s RX 9060 XT GPUs are factory overclocked.

The Steel Legend currently serves as ASRock’s flagship model featuring two sub-models, an 8GB model and a 16GB model. The card comes with the Steel Legend’s traditional white color scheme with a white shroud accompanied by RGB illuminated fans and grey accents.

Cooling is comprised of a nickel-plated copper base and ultra-fit heat pipes sandwiched very close to each other near the contact point to maximize thermal efficiency. The card also uses high-density metal welding, which allegedly improves heat dissipation. Power delivery is comprised of a Dr. MOS integrated power stage solution and premium power chokes.

Similar to the Nitro+, the Steel Legend comes with an ARGB header internally, enabling the GPU to control dedicated ARGB equipment. This feature is particuarly useful on older motherboards that lack ARGB headers altogether.

The Challeger represents ASRock’s budget-friendly solution, and is the smallest of the two GPUs sporting a dual-fan cooler design. The card comes in a black finish with minimal RGB lighting and some grey accents for extra flair.

The card features the same high-density metal welding and ultra-fit heatpipes as the Steel Legend but trimmed down in a more compact cooling solution. Power delivery is comprised of a Dr.MOS power stages solution and premium 90A power chokes.

Walmart Has 512GB Switch 2 MicroSD Express Card For $65, 256GB For $35

by admin June 2, 2025

Walmart has restocked the 512GB and 256GB Onn microSD Express Cards for Nintendo Switch 2, which are substantially more affordable than cards from any other manufacturer. The 512GB model is $65.77, roughly $35 less than the other two sold-out options in this capacity. The 256GB model is $35.77, which is close to $25 less than the Samsung microSD Express Card that’s officially licensed by Nintendo.

Onn is a Walmart-owned brand geared toward budget tech. These cards have already sold out multiple times since they first became available, and we imagine this restock won’t be available for long either.

The officially licensed Samsung microSD Express Card for Nintendo Switch 2 is in stock at multiple retailers, including Best Buy and Target, ahead of the console’s release in a few days. The Switch 2 is only compatible with Express cards, and since it’s a newer technology, there aren’t very many options in stores at the moment–and most of them are sold out. Samsung’s 256GB Nintendo-themed card costs $60 and releases alongside the Switch 2 on June 5.

Outside of the Mario-themed card from Samsung, the only other options currently in stock are the aforementioned pair of Onn cards at Walmart, SanDisk’s microSD Express 128GB for $54 or 256GB for $72 at Amazon, and PNY’s 256GB card for $60 at Walmart.

Nintendo – Samsung microSD Express 256GB Card (Updated: June 2)

The Nintendo Switch 2 is a massive upgrade in terms of storage space. The 256GB onboard SSD is four times larger than the Switch OLED (64GB) and eight times the size of the original Switch and Switch Lite (32GB). That said, the Switch 2’s performance upgrades will inevitably lead to larger game file sizes, which could compel you to expand your console’s storage capacity with one of the ultra-fast microSD Express Cards.

The Express format is a recent advancement in the semiconductor industry that hasn’t been widely adopted by manufacturers yet. The Nintendo Switch 2 will certainly increase its adoption rate by both manufacturers and consumers in a hurry. Officially licensed, Nintendo-themed cards from SanDisk are slated to release this year, too, but they aren’t available to order yet

At this time, the upcoming Nintendo-licensed models max out at 256GB, but you can find 512GB and 1TB options elsewhere if you’re worried about future-proofing your Switch 2 storage space. We’ve put together a brief list and explainer detailing the microSD Express options from Samsung, SanDisk, PNY, Lexar, Onn, and GameStop.

All microSD Express Cards for Nintendo Switch 2

Note: Products that were in stock at the time of writing are in bold.

For more on upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 products, check out GameSpot’s roundups of Switch 2 accessories and games you can preorder now.

$60 | Releases June 5

Samsung’s officially licensed microSD Express Card is capable of reaching speeds of up to 800MB/s.

The $60 price point is honestly a bit of a surprise considering how expensive branded microSD cards for gaming tend to be listed for in comparison to regular editions.

It’s still possible that Samsung’s regular 256GB microSD Express Card will retail for less than $60, but this branded option actually has a lower MSRP than the SanDisk 256GB microSD Express Card that’s already available.

As of May 31, the Samsung microSD Express is in stock at Best Buy, Target, and GameStop.

Available in 256GB and 512GB models

The Walmart-owned tech brand Onn is staying true to its budget-friendly identity by offering by far the lowest prices for microSD Express Cards for Nintendo Switch 2.

Walmart says Onn’s microSD Express Cards are graded for read speeds of to 800MB/s and write speeds of up to 600MB/s. The cards are “water, shock, temperature, and magnet proof.”

Available in 128GB and 256GB models

SanDisk currently manufactures 128GB and 256GB models of its microSD Express Cards.

The Nintendo-branded versions of SanDisk’s microSD Express Cards aren’t listed online yet, so it’s unclear if they will retail for the same prices. When we initially published this story, we theorized that the branded cards would cost more. SanDisk’s Nintendo-themed cards for the original Switch carry higher prices than non-branded editions. But this might change with Switch 2, as shown by the price point of Samsung’s Super Mario-themed 256GB card.

At the moment, it appears SanDisk will release Nintendo-themed versions of its two microSD Express offerings. It remains to be seen if SanDisk cards with more (or less) storage space will get the Nintendo treatment.

SanDisk microSD Express Cards are substantially faster than its Ultra and Extreme Cards, which are popular picks for expanding storage on the original Switch.

With Express technology, SanDisk’s cards offer read speeds of up to 880MB/s, write speeds of 650MB/s, and sustained write speeds of 210MB/s. For comparison, the SanDisk Ultra is rated for 150MB/s read speeds, and the Extreme can hit 190MB/s.

Express cards are essentially solid-state drives that can fit on your fingertip. In fact, this card is actually faster than the average SATA SSD.

Available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models

If you want to future-proof your Switch 2’s storage space, Lexar is the only major manufacturer with microSD Express Cards exceeding 256GB.

Lexar’s Express Play Pro Cards launched in March in three different capacities: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The 256GB retails for $50, the 512GB is $100, and the 1TB will typically set you back $200, but all three models are sold out as of May 31.

Like the SanDisk Express that debuted last year, Lexar’s cards offer blistering speeds. Lexar says its microSD Express Play Pro can reach 900MB/s read speeds and 600MB/s write speeds.

Available in 128GB and 256GB models

PNY’s microSD Express Card is a brand-new release seemingly spurred by the Switch 2. PNY says the card is capable of read speeds up to 890MB/s and write speeds of 550MB/s.

The 256GB card is currently going for the same price as the official Samsung card ($60). Meanwhile, the 128GB model is $45, though it’s strangely listed as shipping from Amazon Germany with a wait time of 6-7 months.

Available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB models

GameStop has its own range of accessories for Nintendo Switch 2, including microSD Express Cards capable of reaching speeds of 800MB/s, according to GameStop.

GameStop’s Switch 2 accessories are not officially licensed by Nintendo, and it’s unknown which memory manufacturer built these cards.

Prices for GameStop-branded accessories have bounced around since preorders opened in early April. The 256GB version changed from $50 to $70 before falling back down to $55, which is rather unfortunate considering you can get the Nintendo-licensed Samsung card for $60.

The 512GB edition started at $85 before climbing to $100. Lastly, the 1TB model, which was only $150 out of the gate, now goes for $190–very close to the price Lexar charges. The 512GB and 1TB models are sold out.

When it comes to storage and memory, it’s generally a good idea to opt for brands known for reliability, and since it’s unclear which storage brand manufactured these cards, it’s pretty challenging to compare GameStop’s cards to the well-known brands above.

Here’s a closer look at the official Samsung and SanDisk microSD Express Cards:

Minecraft Trading Card Boxes With Exclusive Inserts Are Up For Grabs At Amazon

by admin June 1, 2025

Trading card manufacturer Panini has been making official card sets for Minecraft for a few years now, but its latest collection is garnering more attention from Minecraft fans than earlier releases. Most major retailers are either sold out of 2024 Minecraft Trading Card products or limit sales to brick-and-mortar stores. But you don’t need to browse the trading card sections at Walmart or GameStop, because Amazon just stocked Panini’s two major Minecraft card boxes sold in retail stores. These might not be available for very long once more people find them, but as of May 30, you can get Minecraft Blaster Boxes for $15 and Minecraft Trading Card Mega Boxes for $35.

The 2024 Minecraft Trading Card set features over 200 cards, including rare inserts celebrating the franchise’s 15th anniversary, and foil cards that are exclusive to the Blaster and Mega Boxes that Amazon just stocked.

$15

The Blaster Box comes with six booster packs containing six cards each, so you’re getting 36 Minecraft cards for 15 bucks. Panini says the average Blaster Box comes with one Cubic Parallel card per pack. Parallel cards are exclusive to the Blaster and Mega Boxes, which are only sold at select retailers.

Beyond the Cubic Parallel exclusives, you can find Stone Parallels (matte or glossy) and an assortment of increasingly rare numbered pulls: Iron Foil (475), Silver Foil (149), Gold Foil (99), Gold Prizm (49), Opti-Chrome (10), and a numbered 1/1 card if you’re really, really lucky.

In total, the 2024 set includes 221 base cards. The cards feature character art as well as mobs and noteworthy items from the video game. There are 25 bonus cards described as “rare inserts,” including 15 Milestone cards commemorating Minecraft’s 15th anniversary (which was in 2024) and 10 Color Blast cards with flashy art.

$35

Panini’s 2024 Minecraft Mega Box contains 12 booster packs with six cards each. Just like the Blaster Boxes, Mega Boxes have exclusive Cubic Parallel cards. On average, you’ll find 12 Parallel cards, and Panini says one of those cards is likely to be numbered. This fact has likely contributed to stock shortages at retailers.

Booster packs in Mega Boxes are the same as the ones in the Blaster Boxes. The key difference is that your odds of getting a numbered card seem to be better with the Mega versus buying two Blaster Boxes, which would net you the same number of cards overall.

Important Note: Amazon’s product listing has the correct name, but the image is for one of Panini’s older Minecraft Trading Card boxes. It’s highly unlikely that you will get the box shown in Amazon’s picture, as it was originally printed in 2022 and is no longer manufactured.

The Mega Box is shipped and sold by Amazon. It’s worth emphasizing that while Amazon doesn’t accept returns for collectible trading card boxes, if the store page has incorrect information, we suspect that would be the exception. That said, we can’t 100% guarantee Amazon would accept your return (if you wanted one). We’d recommend taking a screenshot of the store page if you decide to order the Mega Box.

Minecraft Trading Cards are sold out at other retailers

Panini – 2024 Minecraft Trading Cards

GameStop and Walmart also carry Minecraft Trading Cards, but you’ll only find them at the retail chains’ brick-and-mortar locations. Walmart shoppers can technically buy card boxes online, but you’ll typically pay extra since the boxes are being listed by third-party resellers. Target and Best Buy have listings for the 2024 set, but both retailers are sold out.

Shortages at major retailers doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be able to find Minecraft Trading Cards at other places beyond Amazon. If you have a local card shop, we’d recommend calling to see if cards are in stock or can be ordered.

Panini’s Minecraft products are trading cards–not a trading card game–so they are just for collecting purposes. Minecraft fans looking for something to play beyond the video game should check out our roundup of Minecraft board and card games. It includes a wide variety of genres, including an upcoming pen-and-paper RPG called Minecraft: Roll for Adventure – The Temple of the Charged Creeper. The Dungeons & Dragons-inspired adventure book releases July 8 and is available to preorder for $16 (was $20) at Amazon.

It’s very possible that the success of the Minecraft film adaptation has contributed to the increased interest around Panini’s Minecraft newest card set. If you haven’t secured your preorder for one of the soon-to-be released physical editions, check out our Minecraft Movie preorder guide for a list of options. Most notably, you can still preorder A Minecraft Movie’s Limited Edition Steelbook on 4K Blu-ray ahead of its June 24 release. If you don’t mind standard Blu-ray, Walmart has a unique exclusive edition. The Collector’s Crafting Table Edition includes packaging that can be folded into a replica of the in-game (and in-movie) Crafting Table.

Civitai Turns to Crypto After Credit Card Processor Ban Over AI Explicit Content

by admin May 27, 2025

In brief

  • Civitai now accepts crypto payments for its Buzz tokens after its credit card processor dropped support over AI-generated NSFW content.
  • Supported coins include USDC, USDT, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and others—though Bitcoin is excluded due to high fees.
  • The move highlights growing financial pressure on NSFW and AI platforms, echoing trends seen in the adult content industry.

Civitai, the world’s biggest repository of generative AI models, introduced crypto payments this month after losing its credit card processor over AI-generated explicit content, offering support to purchase Buzz—the platform’s virtual, non-Web3 tokens.

The AI model-sharing site now accepts USDC, USDT, Litecoin, Ethereum, TRON, Solana, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu through payment processor NowPayments. Bitcoin was excluded due to high transaction fees.

“We’re excited to introduce crypto payments for Buzz. This gives you a secure and convenient way to get the Buzz you need,” Civitai wrote in its implementation guide, published on May 22.

The platform recommends USDC on the Base network, which charges no gas fees and processes transactions in 15-25 seconds. However, any crypto transaction is valid and does not need to be conducted through Coinbase.

Users can complete transactions within minutes, with Buzz typically available immediately after blockchain confirmation. The system supports most Ethereum-compatible wallets, though Civitai recommends Coinbase for simplicity.

Civitai charges a $1 flat fee for crypto purchases, significantly lower than traditional payment processing costs.

“We use a secure processor to handle Crypto payments, and your wallet info is never stored on Civitai’s servers,” the company explained.

The crypto rollout came after Civitai’s credit card processor terminated service on May 23.

“Recent policy updates were insufficient to satisfy the former processor,” the company stated, adding that they continue negotiations with new credit card providers willing to work with NSFW content under specific guidelines.

Pressures abound

This is not the first time payment processors have hit an NSFW business.

Civitai joins a growing roster of adult entertainment businesses that have embraced crypto to circumvent payment processor restrictions. The shift reflects systemic challenges facing NSFW platforms with traditional financial services.

Pornhub is probably the most popular case of crypto adoption in the adult industry—and it happened after losing Visa and MasterCard support in December 2020. The platform now primarily accepts Bitcoin for premium services with 29 other options available through the crypto payments processor Aylo.

However, LiveJasmin began accepting Bitcoin in 2015, becoming one of the first major adult sites to embrace crypto. The webcam platform cited Bitcoin’s “decentralized, anonymous nature” as appealing to privacy-focused users, according to press releases from the time.

SpankChain launched SpankPay, a dedicated cryptocurrency payments processor for adult content providers.

The blockchain-based platform used to offer low-fee transactions is specifically designed to address traditional finance restrictions facing the adult industry.

However, also due to regulatory pressures, the team shifted its focus from building products to advocacy and strategic collaborations last week.

Payment processors frequently restrict NSFW businesses due to regulatory pressures and reputational concerns.

Mainstream providers like PayPal, Stripe, and Square typically ban adult content entirely, while Visa and MasterCard allow member banks to refuse such business, often labeling the business as “high risk.”

And this is the case for AI content, too.

“Some payment companies label generative-AI platforms high risk, especially when we allow user-generated mature content, even when it’s legal and moderated,” Civitai said in a previous blog post. “That policy choice, not anything users did, forced the cutoff.”

Civitai’s 3.2 million users can now purchase Buzz using crypto while the platform searches for new credit card processors.

The company recently implemented stricter content policies, banning real-person likeness content to comply with the U.S. Take It Down Act and European Union AI Act.

The Take It Down Act, signed this month, makes publishing non-consensual intimate imagery punishable by up to three years in prison. The law requires platforms to remove such content within 48 hours of notification.

“We’re now facing an increasingly strict regulatory landscape—one evolving rapidly across multiple countries,” Civitai wrote in explaining its content policy changes.

The platform removed celebrity deepfakes, fan-art depictions, and other types of kinks to maintain compliance with new legislation.

Reactions to the adoption of crypto as the savior of the business have been mixed, with some users praising the move while others are skeptical.

Some users have turned to archiving content through communities like r/CivitaiArchives and alternative platforms. The majority of the user base remains loyal until now.

Intel’s surprise dual-GPU card just dropped with 48GB VRAM, and it might shake Nvidia’s pro lineup

by admin May 26, 2025

  • Intel’s Arc Pro B60 Dual offers pro-grade memory at a fraction of Nvidia’s price
  • This dual-GPU rig from Maxsun delivers workstation power
  • Each GPU gets one DisplayPort and one HDMI, avoiding OS overload in multi-GPU workstations

At Computex 2025, Maxsun unveiled a striking new entry in the AI hardware space: the Intel Arc Pro B60 Dual GPU, a graphics card pairing two 24GB B60 chips for a combined 48GB of memory.

Servethehomeclaims Maxsun envisions these cards powering dense workstation builds with up to four per system, yielding as much as 192GB of GPU memory in a desktop-class machine.

This development appears to have Intel’s implicit approval, suggesting the company is looking to gain traction in the AI GPU market.

A dual-GPU card built for AI memory demands

The Arc Pro B60 Dual GPU is not designed for gaming. Instead, it focuses on AI, graphics, and virtualization tasks, offering a power-efficient profile.

Each card draws between 240W and 300W, keeping power and thermal demands within reach for standard workstation setups.

Unlike some alternatives, this card uses a blower-style cooler rather than a passive solution, helping it remain compatible with conventional workstation designs. That matters for users who want high-end performance without building custom cases or cooling systems.

Still, the architecture has trade-offs. The card relies on x8 PCIe lanes per GPU, bifurcated from a x16 connector. This simplifies design and installation but limits bandwidth compared to full x16 cards.

Each GPU also includes just one DisplayPort and one HDMI output. That design choice keeps multi-GPU setups manageable and avoids hitting OS-level limits, older Windows versions, for example, may have trouble handling more than 32 active display outputs in a single system.

The card’s most intriguing feature may be its pricing. With single-GPU B60 cards reportedly starting around $375 MSRP, the dual-GPU version could land near $1,000.

If that estimate holds, Maxsun’s card would represent a major shift in value. For comparison, Nvidia’s RTX 6000 Ada, with the same 48GB of VRAM, sells for over $5,500. Two of those cards can push costs north of $18,000.

Even so, Intel’s performance in professional applications remains an open question. Many creative professionals still favor Nvidia for its mature drivers and better software optimization.

AMD’s New RX 9060 XT Graphics Card Will Launch In 8GB And 16GB VRAM Versions

by admin May 24, 2025

AMD announced its latest graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 X, at Computex 2025 earlier this week. This is the third GPU in AMD’s 9000 series lineup that also includes the RX 9070 and 9070 XT, and its slated to launch June 5. While it’s positioned as the entry-level option in the RX 9000 series, the RX 9060 XT runs on the same RNDA 4 architecture as the more powerful RX 9070 and 9070 XT and includes FSR 4 resolution upscaling and frame generation, as well as DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b support.

AMD is producing two versions of the RX 9060 XT: one with 8GB VRAM and another with 16GB VRAM. Both models will feature 32 RDNA 4 CUs (computation units), up to 3.13GHz clock speed, and between 150W and 182W power draw, depending on the model’s VRAM and clock speed. While those are solid specs for an entry-level card, things get a bit more confusing from there.

Power and pricing

AMD lists the MSRP as $300 for the 8GB model and $350 for the 16GB model. However, the company is not releasing RX 9060 XT reference cards itself. Instead, third-party manufacturers like Asus, Acer, Gigabyte, and others are launching their own versions of the RX 9060 XT starting June 5. As such, performance, power draw, and pricing will likely differ between the various RX 9060 XT models (especially for overclocked models), but at least some of these GPUs will stick to the reference clock speeds and therefore MSRP (assuming the ongoing tariffs do not impact those prices).

Asus is launching three RX 9060 XT models

As for performance, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is positioned as the replacement for AMD’s RX 7600 XT as its flagship entry-level GPU, making it the primary competitor to Nvidia’s $300 GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti (which costs either $380 for the 8GB version or $429 for the 16GB version). According to AMD’s Computex 2025 presentation, the company’s internal testing found the RX 9060 XT is roughly six percent faster than the RTX 5060 Ti on 40 games running at 1440p–and at roughly $80 MSRP cheaper. However, those tests compare the RX 9060 XT 16GB to the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, rather than the RTX 5060 16GB. The RX 9060 8GB model’s performance is a bigger question, as the smaller amount of VRAM could lead to significant performance dips.

On X (formerly Twitter), AMD’s Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and Gaming Marketing, Frank Azor, explained that most players use a 1080p display, for which 8GB of VRAM is more than enough. While technically true, it doesn’t alleviate the concerns over confusing consumers who may see the above comparisons of the RX 9060 XT 16GB’s 6% performance boost over the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and assume that applies to all RX 9060 XT models. And again, the actual performance will likely differ between the various SKUs launching June 5, which could further compound the issue.

Majority of gamers are still playing at 1080p and have no use for more than 8GB of memory. Most played games WW are mostly esports games. We wouldn’t build it if there wasn’t a market for it. If 8GB isn’t right for you then there’s 16GB. Same GPU, no compromise, just memory…

Where to find the AMD RX 9060 XT

Those potential concerns and unanswered questions aside, the RX 9060 XT nevertheless looks like a solid entry-level choice for those already invested in AMD’s hardware. As mentioned above, multiple manufacturers are releasing RX 9060 XT GPUs starting June 5, and while none are currently listed for preorder, you can learn more about the models announced from Asus, Acer, and Gigabyte, at each company’s online store. Other brands like PowerColor also showed off upcoming RX 9060 XT GPUs on the Computex 2025 show floor. We’ll be sure to update this post once the GPUs are available.
