Car giant Stellantis confirms data breach after third-party hit by cyberattack

by admin September 23, 2025

  • Stellantis confirms data breach via third-party platform supporting North American customer services
  • Attack linked to ShinyHunters, part of broader Salesforce-related data theft campaign
  • Customers warned to avoid suspicious emails and remain alert for phishing attempts

Stellantis, one of the world’s largest automakers, confirmed suffering a cyberattack and losing sensitive customer data.

In a short announcement, Stellantis said the breach did not occur within its infrastructure, but rather in a third party service provider’s platform that supports its North American customer service operations.

“Upon discovery, we immediately activated our incident response protocols, initiated a comprehensive investigation, and took prompt action to contain and mitigate the situation,” the company said in the report. “We are also notifying the appropriate authorities and directly informing affected customers.”

The report offered little details, as Stellantis noted the personal information involved was “limited to contact information” and that financial, or “sensitive personal information” was not accessed, since it wasn’t stored on company servers in the first place.

It did not detail who the threat actors were, or what they sought out to achieve, but BleepingComputer claims the attack was carried out by ShinyHunters, and that it was part of a recent wave of Salesloft data breaches.

The threat actors reprotedly claimed responsibility for the attack, telling the publication it stole more than 18 million Salesforce records, including names, and contact details.

Stellantis is yet to confirm or deny these claims, but if they turn out to be true, the automotive giant will be added to a long list of major companies that had their data compromised in the Salesloft issues.

Other companies that suffered the same fate include Google, Cloudflare, Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoints, Cato Networks, and many others.

In the meantime, Stellantis urged its customers to remain vigilant against potential phishing attempts, and to be particularly wary of incoming communication claiming to come from the automaker.

Furthermore, it warned the customers not to click on any links in emails, or other forms of communication, especially in those demanding urgent activity or response.

How to Properly Clean a Kid’s. Car Seat (2025)

by admin September 20, 2025

Car seats are there for a lot: every traffic-induced meltdown, every spilled juice box, every road trip nap. Most importantly, they save lives. But while it’s tempting to treat them like any other piece of kid gear when messes strike, they’re not just another item you can toss in the wash. They’re precision-built safety devices, and one misstep can compromise the parts designed to protect your child.

This guide walks you through how to properly clean a car seat, what not to do, and when to call a professional so your child stays protected, no matter how messy the ride gets.

Why Proper Car Seat Cleaning Matters

A quick toss in the washing machine may seem harmless, but it can ruin a car seat: “It could degrade the harness webbing itself, so it could weaken it,” says Kyndra Webb, a child passenger safety technician instructor and member of the National Child Passenger Safety Board. A harness is the only thing between your child and physics in a car crash.

Aggressive cleaning or machine washing can also shrink or distort covers, or strip away protective coatings. “A lot of them have fire retardants,” Webb says. “The more you wash it, the more you degrade some of that safety quality.”

Even perfect cleaning techniques can be undermined by one deceptively difficult step—putting everything back together. “The biggest thing that I have seen when families come for a car seat check after they’ve washed it, especially if they bought their car seat used, is they’re not assembling it correctly again,” Webb says. A car seat may look pristine and even be properly installed, but if the harness is routed wrong or the clips aren’t in place, it’s not doing its job.

That said, the stakes are too high to wing it. By sticking to the script of proper cleaning guidelines and manufacturer instructions, your seat can be both sanitary and road-trip ready.

How to Find a Car Seat Manual

Before you even think about reaching for those cleaning supplies, break out your car seat’s manual. If you can’t find the booklet that came with the seat, you can likely find it online: Visit your car seat manufacturer’s website, search for your specific model, and look out for links labeled “Manual,” “Instructions,” or “Support.”

The cleaning guidelines are then usually found in a dedicated section of the manual. “Some car seats even have QR codes now, so you can scan the code to bring you right to their website’s FAQs and their help,” Webb says. “Sometimes it’ll even bring you to their YouTube channel.”

If all else fails, contact customer service. “A lot of the manufacturers have child passenger safety technicians on staff,” Webb says. “They know their car seats, they know their products.” They’re the experts who can provide specific guidance for your model.

Northernlion streaming the game Computer Shrilow

Weeks after Silksong’s launch I can’t stop thinking about this streamer’s masterful troll campaign against its fans: ‘They made a whole game about getting to your car but you don’t have car keys, and you’re excited for that?’

by admin September 20, 2025

I’ve spent a not-insignificant portion of my waking hours the last few weeks thinking (and writing) about Hollow Knight: Silksong, but I may have actually spent more time replaying a description of the game from streamer Northernlion in my head over and over again like a Nick at Nite rerun.

While Silksong was the focal point of online gaming conversation from its late August release date announcement up until the launch of Borderlands 4, Northernlion not only cheerily avoided streaming it alongside other big Twitch channels, but spent the Silksong hype period roasting viewers who asked why he wasn’t playing it.

“Have metroidvania fans ever considered that walking back is not as much fun as walking forward? I guess I’m just a different kind of beast’,” he joked a few days before Silksong’s release. “You can do metroidvanias if you want, but once I finish with something I’m done with it. I’m moving on. Greener pastures. Oh, you need a double-jump to access that door up there? Well, I guess god doesn’t want me to go up there. I’ll be moving to the right. I’ll be moving to the right and jumping onto platforms that are approximately one times my height above me. That’s about it, man. That’s about it.”

Related articles

In the early 2010s Northernlion amassed a fanbase on YouTube with let’s play videos of The Binding of Isaac, but in recent years has become better known for live interactions with his audience on Twitch streams. At some point his ability to riff on basically any topic started generating a consistent stream of viral goofs, rants, and unbelievable moments—enough to earn him a reputation as “your favorite streamer’s favorite streamer.”

So it was perfectly in character when, straight off the dome, he delivered a perfect stream-of-consciousness takedown of metroidvanias as the gaming equivalent of getting to your car and realizing you forgot your car keys.

You can watch it here, but I will now transcribe the quote in its entirety for your reading pleasure:

Northernlion HATES Silksong – YouTube

Watch On

“We will not be playing Silksong. Regardless of its reviews, we are being indifferent to Silksong. The reason is, I hate going back for stuff. I hate when I get to my car and then I forgot about my car keys. I’m like, what the hell, now I have to go back to the house?

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

“They made a whole game about getting to your car but you don’t have car keys, so now you have to go into your basement and get a fucking pogo stick that lets you jump up to the shelf where you’ve got your car keys, only oh wait, your garage door opener is inside something you have to become really tiny to get into, you have to get into your crawlspace to get the garage door opener, and then you go to click it but there’s no batteries, to get the batteries you’ve got to use the pogo stick to get a key that goes into a lock that unlocks to get the batteries but you don’t have the screwdriver to unlock the back of the garage door opener to put the batteries in so you’ve got a use a shovel to dig a hole, you gotta use your pogo stick and get really small in order to get to the shovel that you use to dig up the screwdriver to unscrew the back to put the batteries in to use the garage door opener to get into your car to use your car keys to drive to work.

“They made a game about that, and you can’t wait for it? You’re excited for that? Are you crazy?”

This is a perfect bit. It is immaculately conceived comedy with an unimpeachable narrative throughline that would leave stand-up comedians who’ve spent months polishing the delivery of worse jokes reeling. Per-second it has delivered me substantially more joy than any of the 20 hours I’ve put into Silksong so far, and I love the game.

Related articles

The best part is that this is not just a bit; it’s a bit-inside-a-bit, just one moment inside the meta joke of games he plays instead of Silksong, as highlighted in this compilation of subsequent streams.

anything but silksong (Ragebait) – YouTube

Watch On

“i can’t believe in the middle of the ragebait he plays a puppygirl game out of no where,” reads one of the YouTube comments, reacting to Northernlion booting up a clicker game.

Northernlion’s fanbase has picked up his flair for multilayered and ironic reference-filled in-jokes, as another comment on that same video demonstrates:

“Pro tip: The Lion of the North frequently attempts to Ragebait against the current of the popular. If you do not have the prerequisite endurance or Thick Skin charm, counter by purposefully ignoring his cinema references or feigning absolute indifference towards it. The glass canon nature of this interaction will flip the Soyjak-Gigachad equilibrium to your favour, and soon enough NL will be the irate lion screaming at the calm and composed monkey that is you.”

You can no doubt find an army of YouTubers and Twitch streamers out there currently not playing Silksong, or making videos about why its difficulty is a crime against gamers. But only one who has the composure to blurt out “Shitsong!” and then segue to a diss of James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful. Truly a different kind of beast.

IShowSpeed crashes car after making it “fly” in Dukes of Hazzard stunt: “OMG I’m dead”

by admin September 18, 2025

IShowSpeed linked up with car YouTuber Westen Champlin during his 35-day tour around the US, who let the streamer jump a car over one of his ramps.

The YouTube star began his 24/7 stream on August 28, 2025, and has been traveling around the United States ever since in a $300,000 tour bus.

IShowSpeed quickly introduced an AI VTuber that takes over his stream while he’s sleeping, and was left stunned after a fan sold an apple signed by him for $500.

On Wednesday, September 17, Speed and his crew went to Kansas to link up with YouTuber Westen Champlin to have fun with various cars.

IShowSpeed jumps car off ramp and crashes

After arriving to Champlin’s compound, Speed was introduced to all of the YouTuber’s wild builds, including an inverted truck and a diesel swap Rolls Royce Phantom that they’ve been working on building.

It wasn’t long, though, until the streamer began driving some of these vehicles and even made a car “fly” by driving it over one of Westin’s ramps in a stunt that seemed right out of the TV show Dukes of Hazzard. Speed went airborne while in the passenger seat, but was given the chance to drive over the ramp himself.

After a few failed attempts, Speed hit the required 40mph and sent the car into the air… only to drive off the side of the next ramp and into the nearby light post, setting off the airbags in the process.

“Oh my God, I’m dead,” said the shocked YouTuber as the car came to a stop.

(Segment starts at 51:54)

After taking a minute to process what just happened and making sure his cameraman was okay, Speed made light of the accident.

“I’m a real f**kin man now chat,” he joked.

This comes just days after IShowSpeed was in a Houston, Texas, mall when things became chaotic due to fans flocking to see the streamer – leading to him being banned by mall security.

Xbox Found A Way To Stream Horizon Forza 5 To Your Car

by admin September 10, 2025

Microsoft wants to turn your car into an Xbox, too. Not content just to stream Game Pass to your TV, laptop, or smartphone, it’s also aiming to beam hits like Forza Horizon 5 directly into your Kia Sportage. Microsoft and LG announced a new partnership on Tuesday to bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to over 20 million internet-connected vehicles by 2030. Who’s ready to play The Elder Scrolls 6 in the back of their Uber?

“Our work with LG is the latest example of Xbox expanding to new places, building on partnerships that already bring Xbox Cloud Gaming to mobile devices, PCs, and TVs,” Xbox marketing VP Christopher Lee said in a blog post. “By adding vehicles to the mix, we’re giving players more choice than ever in how they enjoy their games.”

The initiative only pertains to EVs that support LG’s webOS Automotive Content Platform (ACP) which at this point is primarily Kia and mostly not in the U.S. But LG exec Eun Seok-hyun is promising there will be 20 million of these vehicles on the road somewhere in the next five years. Whether that includes the country where Microsoft is headquartered or not will depend on whether Congress ever revives the electric vehicle tax credit program it recently killed. Otherwise anyone who wants to make their car into an Xbox will have to do it the old-fashioned way.

Xbox’s recent pivot to being hardware-agnostic comes as it’s developing dedicated gaming OS layers for Windows on PC handhelds and bringing more of its exclusives to PS5 and Switch 2. It’s unclear if that will move the needle much on the overall growth of Game Pass, which hasn’t announced new subscriber numbers in over a year. This new campaign to turn cars into Xboxes comes just as Microsoft announces a mandatory return to the office for all employees within a 50-mile radius of its Redmond campus. Now they’ll have something new to do while sitting in traffic, at least eventually.

Electric Car Maker Taps RLUSD For Payments As XRP Strategy Unfolds

by admin September 9, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

VivoPower International’s electric-vehicle arm, Tembo, will start accepting Ripple USD (RLUSD) for payments, a move that could change how the company handles cross-border deals, a press release confirmed.

According to the company, the stablecoin will be used to speed up payments and cut the fees usually tied to bank wires.

Tembo Adopts RLUSD For Global Payments

Tembo serves clients in mining, agriculture, military, construction and humanitarian work. Many of those customers are in developing regions where bank transfers are slow and costly.

Based on reports, RLUSD can move value near-instantly across borders and at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. That is the main reason VivoPower gave for the change.

The Vehicles And The Services Around Them

Tembo builds electric utility vehicles designed for both on-road and tough off-road tasks. The fleet is aimed at jobs where reliability matters more than style.

Charging, financing, battery swaps and even microgrids are offered alongside the vehicles. Those services are now available to be paid for in RLUSD, which could make transactions simpler for local dealers and international buyers alike.

Ripple Partnerships And Market Moves

Reports have disclosed that RLUSD’s market capitalization rose roughly 10-fold since January. Ripple has been extending RLUSD’s reach through tie-ups with firms such as Chipper Cash, Yellow Card and VARL, and it recently rolled RLUSD into the Horizon RWA market owned by Aave.

Those moves are being watched closely by firms that handle cross-border trade. Adoption in Africa, parts of Southeast-Asia and the Middle East is reported to be growing.

Total crypto market cap at $3.87 trillion on the daily chart: TradingView

VivoPower’s Broader XRP Strategy

VivoPower has been clear that this is more than a single payment option. The company said it is shaping itself into what it calls an XRP-focused digital asset enterprise.

Holdings in XRP and equity in Ripple Labs are being added to the corporate portfolio. Some of those assets are being held for treasury purposes.

Other parts are planned to support decentralized finance infrastructure and real-world blockchain use cases connected to Tembo’s business.

Implications For Treasury, Liquidity And Local Markets

Market observers have pointed to links with institutional sponsors like Doppler Finance, suggesting RLUSD could play roles beyond payments — for liquidity management and corporate treasury planning.

If that happens, the stablecoin may be used as a bridge between fiat rails and DeFi tools in places where traditional banking is weak.

Vendors and partners in regions where Tembo operates could see faster settlements and fewer conversion fees.

The Concept C Is the All-Electric Sports Car Kick-Starting Audi’s Design Future

by admin September 3, 2025

Car companies love a mission statement. With the arrival of the Concept C, Audi’s new one is crystal clear: “radical simplicity.” An all-electric two-seater with a retractable folding hard top, the Concept C is a “progressive interpretation” of the company’s legacy, says Audi—and it’s not hard to see that the TT has factored pretty heavily in that.

But as you pick your way through the messaging—key words here are precision and clarity, as well as a reemphasis on our old friend “Vorsprung durch Technik”—this feels like a substantial reset after a period of aesthetic drift. This isn’t just a piece of conceptual eye candy, then: It’s Audi engaging combat mode in an industry currently beset with challenges.

“Our vision is a call to action for the whole company—and is essential for making our brand truly distinctive once again,” Audi chief creative officer Massimo Frascella explains. “It is the philosophy behind every decision we make, and we aim to apply its principles across the entire organization. We call it ‘the Radical Next.’”

Let’s start with the car itself. Although the e-tron GT set the bar high, Audi’s model range has been light on coherence and drama. The Concept C isn’t quite a first-principles machine, but it definitely strips things back and seeks to stoke some good old-fashioned flames of desire. It’s a terrific looking thing in the flesh: stocky, solid, and charismatic. Audi CEO Gernot Döllner, in charge for exactly two years, personally pushed for a new sports car; Frascella used it to push the boundaries in terms of design creativity and manufacturing technique.

Courtesy of Audi

It’s also one for marque historians: Although there’s nothing explicitly retro here, the 1930s Auto Union Type C Grand Prix car, the early-noughties Rosemeyer concept, and more pertinently the original TT are all in the mix, as is Bauhaus and German modernism.

Frascella, it should be noted, is an Italian who rose to prominence as head of design at Jaguar Land Rover, and he is credited with the current Range Rover, a universally admired vehicle (though he also worked on the rather more polarizing Jaguar Type 00.) A lack of adornment and commitment to what car designers are wont to call “monolithic” surfaces are evidently two of his trademarks.

That much is certainly apparent here. The Concept C’s taut, machined look suggests something carved from a giant billet of aluminum, and there’s a strong new vertical front-grille shape with a slim but powerful light signature that echoes the four-ring logo. We reckon it’s best appreciated from an elevated position above the rear three-quarters, though. There’s no rear window, minimal decoration, and slender LED taillights, with three slats in the rear deck to suggest a more emotionally charged, mid-engined configuration. We’re told the windowless, slatted look will make production, and the new car is slated to arrive in 2027.

Apple CarPlay Ultra ADAS
Gaming Gear

Don’t have a pile of cash? Don’t worry: you may soon be able to get an affordable car with Apple CarPlay Ultra

by admin September 2, 2025

  • Hyundai’s new Ioniq 3 will reportedly come with Apple CarPlay Ultra
  • It would be the next car after the Aston Martin DBX to get access to the software
  • This could mean more affordable access to Apple’s powered-up phone-to-infotainment interface

You may not need a $200,000 car from the likes of Aston Martin to access Apple’s CarPlay Ultra in the near future, as Hyundai looks set to bring the interface to its electric cars.

That’s according to Top Gear, which reported that the Ioniq 3, due to be revealed at the Munich Motor Show this month, will support CarPlay Ultra, allowing for deeper integration between a car’s infotainment system and a connected iPhone than the standard erosion of CarPlay offers.

Set to be positioned between Hyundai’s Inster and Kona EVs, the Ioniq 3 is poised to be a compact electric car that comes stuffed with connected tech. Top Gear notes that, like other carmakers, this is all part of Hyundai’s push to equip its cars with software designed to be upgraded throughout their lifetime and can be customized by both car brands and end users with apps, even those buying pre-owned cars.

You may like

In many ways, this approach to infotainment software is similar to how smartphones, tablets, and computers operate, with upgrades being rolled out across their lifetime and allowing users a degree of choice and customization with the services and the apps they want.

Ultra infotainment

In the past, infotainment systems would often be outdated by the time a car rolled off the production line and would be hard to upgrade unless the brand offered firmware updates via dealers. Or the car owners opted for third-party aftermarket units.

CarPlay Ultra is notable in this case as it’s been designed to more tightly integrate with the underlying infotainment platform, letting car brands create custom themes in collaboration with Apple that are tailored to each vehicle rather than offering a one-size-fits-all interface.

Currently, CarPlay Ultra can be found in the new Aston Martin DBX, a performance luxury SUV with a hefty price tag. But more car brands, notably those with cheaper vehicles, are set to adopt CarPlay Ultra. And it looks like Hyundai could be one of the front-runners.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

As for the Ioniq 3 itself, Top Gear reports it’ll be a front-wheel drive car with a WLTP range of 260 miles and 365 miles from a predicted choice of batteries coming in 58.3kWh or 81.4kWh capacities respectively. A 400-volt charging system is expected. And the car could do the 0-62mph sprint in less than eight seconds.

There’s no word on pricing, but the Kona starts at $24,550, so I’d expect the Ioniq 3 to be more expensive but coming in well below $40,000, given that the Ioniq 5 starts at $42,600; market prices vary a lot, so to keep things simple, I’ve focused on US prices here. Production for the Ioniq 3 is tipped for early next year.

Time will tell if other car makers adopt CarPlay Ultra this year, but don’t expect any big announcements from Apple’s side as it’s surely concentrating on the iPhone 17 launch, which we expect to see on September 9 at the next Apple event.

Borderlands 4 Rage Room Sounds Like A Car Crash And Fans Can’t Look Away

by admin August 31, 2025

Stroll by Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 display at PAX West and you’ll see fans quietly playing the Divinity: Original Sin board game. Linger a little too long though, and you’ll hear what sounds like a car crashing through a McDonald’s drive-thru in the far corner of the show floor. And then another, and another. Follow the piercing sounds for long enough and you’ll arrive at the Borderlands 4 Ripper Rage Room, by far the most ridiculous marketing stunt at this year’s expo.

Fans of Gearbox Entertainment’s anarchic loot shooter, some adorned with its enemies’ iconic Psycho masks, are wrapped around a small, encased exhibit waiting for their chance to smash aluminum trash cans, glass bottles, and Dollar Store ceramics. Staff dress them in jumpsuits and riot helmets with plastic visors. Then, one at a time, they make their way into a plexiglass-ensconced chamber where they emotionally unburden themselves with a post-apocalyptic baseball bat.

It’s surprisingly loud and jarring, even when you know it’s coming. Imagine the heart-stopping moment in the restaurant when a waiter accidentally drops a giant tray of dishes. The immediate gasps as everyone experiences a simultaneous shot of fight-or-flight adrenaline followed by the hushed murmurings of people gawking at reality’s brief departure from the mundane.

The Ripper Rage Room debuted during the Borderlands 4 Warped Tour fan event earlier this summer in L.A. and is reprising its role for PAX West. The big difference, however, is that the annual Seattle-based expo features lots of booths ranging from PC gaming giveaways to first-time indie developers desperately trying to get someone to pay attention to their passion project.

More than one exhibitor has privately confided to me that “it must suck” for all the nearby booths who are trying to get attendees meandering on by to hang a second and listen to their pitch. In the case of Limited Run Games, the boutique physical game retailer closest to the Rage Room, that might mean hanging around long enough to pull the trigger on a copy of Clock Tower: Rewind for the Nintendo Switch. Then all of the sudden: *SNAP* *CRACKLE* *SMASH*.

But Gearbox is the king of PAX and it knows what the people want. Its massive booth for Borderlands 4, filled with dozens of demo stations and massive statutes of each of its Vault Hunter heroes, is both the most packed and the fastest at getting people through the queue. Fans at the Nintendo and Capcom booths complain about wait times and arcane requirements, like a lottery system for who actually gets to try Hollow Knight: Silksong on Switch 2.

And then there’s the Ripper Rage Room which, despite the absolute vibe-killing antics, always has people watching as each new fan briefly descends into a performative rampage, quietly realizing as they enter the translucent box that they are as much a part of the display as the brutalized silicon dummy standing in the corner. People love smashing shit. They love watching other people smash shit. Like the beautifully cel-shaded Skinner box at the heart of Borderlands franchise, it sometimes is just as simple as that.

Less straightforward is the task of needing to reassemble the Ripper Rage Room after each demolition. At least three staff race to stack the trash cans, folding chairs, bottles, and plates in precarious positions for optimal smashing. Trying to replicate chaos is an oxymoron but that is the mandate. Everyone knows what’s going to happen but they wait to watch it unfold again anyway. And what could be more Borderlands than that?

Waymo Gets First Driverless Car Permit in NYC

by admin August 25, 2025

Waymo has become the first autonomous vehicle operator to secure a permit to test self-driving cars on the streets of New York City, the state’s department of transportation said in announcing the news.

The New York City Department of Motor Vehicles approved Waymo’s application, allowing the company to conduct limited testing of its autonomous vehicles within certain city zones.

The permit comes after years of regulatory negotiations and signals a potential shift toward broader deployment of driverless cars in applications such as ride-hailing and delivery services in the city’s complex traffic environment.

Waymo says it has completed over 10 million rides in 1,500 cars spread out across the United states, and the company has had high-profile self-driving car debuts in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Austin.

The move marks a significant milestone for the industry in the United States’ most densely populated urban environment and is a new salvo in the battle for dominance of the domestic driverless car market.

So what can Waymo do in NYC?

As part of its test program in NYC, the city mayor’s office said that Waymo will be allowed to test eight cars across Brooklyn and Manhattan, and must regularly check in with the Department of Transportation about data and safety.

“We’re a tech-friendly administration and we’re always looking for innovative ways to safely move our city forward,” Mayor Eric Adams said in a statement. “New York City is proud to welcome Waymo to test this new technology in Manhattan and Brooklyn, as we know this testing is only the first step in moving our city further into the 21st century.”

Waymo is required to have a trained, specialist driver in the cars at all times.

Why does Waymo’s NYC permit matter?

Waymo’s permit is a landmark development for a sector that has faced skepticism from people who live and work where self-driving technology has been tested.

With the backing of five large American cities where it is testing its cars, Waymo’s NYC plan could help accelerate the pace of adoption in urban centers across the U.S., if it can show it is safe and easy to use.

With safety protocols and regulatory frameworks continuing to evolve nationwide, a seamless launch and test period would go a long way toward convincing local riders and regulators that driverless technology is safe, MSNBC reports.

The move is part of a broader trend of U.S. cities and states gradually opening their roads to autonomous vehicles, balancing safety concerns with the potential benefits of reduced traffic congestion and improved mobility options.
