Fortnite creators will soon be able to sell in-game items to make more money, but are Creative Mode offerings like Steal A Brainrot what players want?

by admin September 18, 2025

Epic will soon allow Fortnite developers to sell in-game items from their Fortnite islands, allowing creators to make more money.

This will begin in December 2025, and for the first year developers will earn 100 percent of the V-Bucks value from sales – usually this is at 50 percent.

The news comes as Fortnite’s Creative Mode of fan-made content is proving exceptionally popular – recently, the Fortnite version of Roblox meme game Steal A Brainrot had more concurrent players than Epic’s official maps.

The Power of Megazord | Fortnite Battle Royale Gameplay TrailerWatch on YouTube

Fortnite’s Creative Mode first launched back in 2018, and allows players to create their own maps and modes. Epic then offers a payout based on engagement – last year it paid out $325m to creators, with seven receiving over $10m.

Since Creative Mode’s release, Epic has revealed, players have spent over 11.2bn hours across 260,000 creator-made islands, resulting in $722,000,000 paid to creators.

The amount of money creators will make in Fortnite is only going to increase when they’re able to sell in-game items directly from their islands, in addition to receiving an engagement payout from Fortnite’s item shop sales.

Epic has a formula for calculating the V-Bucks value in US dollars each month, which takes all real-money spending towards V-Bucks (in dollars), subtracting platform and store fees, and dividing by total V-Bucks spent. With creators usually earning 50 percent of V-Bucks value from sales, this equates to 37 percent of retail spending. Roblox offers 25 percent, by way of comparison.

In addition, Epic will add a Sponsored Row to Fortnite’s Discover, meaning creators can pay for increased visibility by bidding for placement in the row. That’s a further investment in generating more in-game sales.

Epic has also announced Fortnite Creator Communities, to allow creators to share updates directly with players on the web and within Fortnite. Creator posts will be text and image-based and allow for sharing information and gathering feedback – much like on Steam.

But despite the huge success of creator islands, is this really what Fortnite players want?

Take Steal A Brainrot. It’s proven to be a phenomenal success – as Dexerto reported, it had 24 million players in a single day across both Roblox and Fortnite versions. While the Roblox version peaked at 23.4 million players in a day, Fortnite’s version contributed 542,000. That vastly outweighs Fortnite’s primary Battle Royale modes that generate around 100,000 players during peak weekend play.

“They are promoting AI slop, copy and paste creative maps more than their own BR season,” wrote one player on reddit. “This is going to prove to be extremely unhealthy for the game in general I believe, and with the already low player counts this season Epic needs to do something to steer back to the basics, this metaverse stuff has RUINED Fortnite. This game has become a corporate shell of what it once was and I believe the remainder of this year will very much so make or break Fortnite as a whole.”

“Stuff like this cluttering the overview makes me disinterested in random creative maps. Those who put genuine effort into their maps often get hardly any attention,” wrote a user on a separate reddit post. Others point to the casual nature of user-made maps, as well as the high XP offered, as reasons for players to flock over.

Still, this new update for Fortnite creators is further shifting the game away from its Battle Royale roots into a Roblox-rivalling metaverse.

Steal A Brainrot smashes records with nearly 24 million players across Roblox and Fortnite

by admin September 14, 2025

Steal A Brainrot just pulled nearly 24 million players in one day across Roblox and Fortnite, eclipsing other community made games on the platforms.

Steal A Brainrot is the latest viral hit to sweep through both Roblox and Fortnite, combining chaotic party-style gameplay with meme-driven humor. First created as a Roblox experience earlier in 2025, the popular tycoon and simulator game tasks players to collect and generate income from “Brainrot” characters.

The game’s momentum only grew when a Fortnite Creative version was released, bringing the same concept into Epic’s ecosystem of player-made content. By spanning two of the biggest free-to-play platforms, Steal A Brainrot tapped into massive built-in communities. The dual launch allowed the title to thrive in both Roblox’s social hubs and Fortnite’s competitive arenas.

Steal a Brainrot reaches tens of millions in one day

That reach paid off on September 14, when Steal A Brainrot hit new all-time highs across both platforms. The Roblox version peaked at 23.4 million players in a single day, while the Fortnite edition contributed to a concurrent total of 542,000 users.

Those figures place it in the same league as Epic’s official game modes, Fortnite Battle Royale and Zero Build, which regularly chart around 100,000 players during peak weekend play. However, Steal The Brainrot has now surpassed two of Epic Games’ staple game modes, Blitz Royale and Reload Ranked, in all time high player count.

The achievement highlights just how far community-built games can go when they strike the right cultural chord. By turning a meme into a fully playable experience across two platforms, Steal A Brainrot has become one of 2025’s breakout hits, and if momentum holds, another record-setting weekend may be in the cards.

However, there’s so much more to Steal a Brainrot than just farming items, especially when you look at the weekly event, Taco Tuesday. This Admin Abuse welcomes millions and can get extremely busy, tough, and often pretty chaotic. So, to ensure you get the most out of the event, here’s all you need to know about the next Taco Tuesday in Steal a Brainrot.

When is the next Taco Tuesday Admin Abuse in Steal a Brainrot?

The next Taco Tuesday event in Steal a Brainrot is Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

The event, often acting as Admin Abuse, takes place every Tuesday, so you can expect all kinds of chaos on the same day and time each week, as long as the developer doesn’t delay it. If he does, we’ll be updating this article, so check back weekly for all the latest details.

Release times

Note: To find your timezone, search for it under release time or input your capital city.

What is Taco Tuesday?

Taco Tuesday is a weekly event in Roblox’s Steal a Brainrot. Every Tuesday, the developer will trigger it, offering players a weekly opportunity to get some free rewards and the coveted Taco Trait, which is extremely valuable.

During the event, the song ‘Raining Tacos’ will begin playing (it’ll get stuck in your head, you’ve been warned). When it does, a cannon will appear above the game’s conveyor belt and shoot tacos at random Brainrots walking on the belt. If they’re hit by the tacos, they get the Taco Trait.

This trait offers a 3x increase in your earnings per second, so it’s extremely useful if you want to make a ton of money. Or, feed it to Sammy the NPC for exclusive rewards.

On top of this, if your character is affected by the Taco Trait, you’ll get some more rewards, like a taco icon next to your name or a taco hat.

How long is Taco Tuesday?

While it’s an exciting event, it doesn’t go on for long, lasting just 30 minutes.

Players will need to be quick and ready if they want to benefit from the rewards and the bonuses offered.

How to prepare

Given you only have half an hour, it’s wise to prepare for the Steal a Brainrot event. To do so, we recommend the following:

  • Clear your inventory: During the event, you’ll be grabbing loads of different items to get hold of the Taco Trait. If you have a full inventory, you’ll spend half an hour organizing it.
  • Save your cash: Brainrots are expensive, and you’ll need to buy them off the conveyor belt during Taco Tuesday. So, grab at least 10 million to ensure you’re not stunted.
  • Grab some friends: The more friends you have playing, the more you can team up and grab the best Brainrots…or steal it from others, it’s your choice.
  • Play in a private server: Public servers can get extremely busy during this time, meaning you’re competing with tons of other players for the same loot. Start a private server with your friends, and you’ll have a much smoother time without any stealing.

A lot of the Taco Tuesday event is best done after a bit of practice, so keep enjoying the Admin Abuse and you’ll thrive in the end.
