Cyberpunk 2077 anime Edgerunners getting physical Blu-ray release

by admin September 1, 2025

The first season of Cyberpunk 2077’s acclaimed anime spin-off Edgerunners is getting a physical Blu-ray release.

As shared by Crunchyroll, the anime box set is available to pre-order now, with an expected shipping date of 23rd October. It will retail in the US for $123.98 (I have not been able to find a UK specific release, though, with the current retail listing being region A).

For your money, you will receive (obviously) the entire first series, which is 10 episodes, across three discs. It also includes a storyboard booklet from director Hiroyuki Imaishi, a “special” booklet, three animation cel sheets and a two year anniversary poster (see image below).

“In a world of neon and the cybernetically enhanced, can David climb up from a lowly bourgie to become an edgerunning legend?” asks the official blurb. Eurogamer’s former editor-in-chief Wesley Yin-Poole called the Cyberpunk anime “fantastic” when he watched it back in 2022.

If this all sounds like your thing, you can find the Crunchyroll sales page here.

A second season of Edgerunners is now in the works at Netflix. It will comprise 10 episodes, and feature a standalone story within the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Earlier this year, Edgerunners’ writer and producer said he doesn’t want to write a jolly story for the series, because “when people are sad”, it makes him “a bit happy”.

This is a news-in-brief story. This is part of our vision to bring you all the big news as part of a daily live report.

Kill Bill 4K Blu-Ray Editions Get Limited-Time Price Cuts At Amazon

by admin August 31, 2025

Amazon has limited-time deals on the 4K Blu-ray editions of Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2. The acclaimed Quentin Tarantino saga starring Uma Thurman finally made its way to 4K Blu-ray earlier this year alongside Jackie Brown. All three movies come with 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital editions as well as making-of documentaries and a bunch of other special features.

Amazon also has several other Tarantino movies on 4K Blu-ray for cheap, including Pulp Fiction, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, Reservoir Dogs, and Inglourious Basterds. Arrow Video’s recently released 4K edition of Inglourious Basterds is also available for a nice discount, and Amazon still has copies of its exclusive Pulp Fiction: 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition.

Quentin Tarantino Movies on 4K Blu-ray

You can learn more about the 4K Blu-ray editions of the Kill Bill saga and Jackie Brown below. We’ve also included a list at the bottom detailing Tarantino’s complete filmography, as not all of the director’s movies have received 4K releases.

$25.43 (was $43)

Jackie Brown was Tarantino’s third film, following Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. The 1997 feature remains the director’s only adaptation of another writer’s work in his 10-film career. Jackie Brown was adapted from the classic crime novel Rum Punch by legendary author Elmore Leonard.

The 4K Blu-ray release includes a 10-part documentary series, several new featurettes, deleted and alternate scenes, promotional materials, a poster gallery, and an enhanced trivia track.

Jackie Brown stars Pam Grier as a flight attendant who regularly smuggles money from Mexico into the United States for a gun runner in Los Angeles. In addition to Grier, the movie also starred Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Robert De Niro, Robert Foster, and Bridget Fonda. Like his first two films, Jackie Brown was well-received by critics.

$25.49 (was $43) | Limited-Time Deal

Tarantino’s next film wouldn’t hit theaters for another six years, but it was certainly worth the wait. A revenge thriller starring Uma Thurman, 2003’s Kill Bill is a highlight reel of what makes Tarantino’s films special. It’s a character-driven tale full of over-the-top violence and backed by a cool soundtrack. On a technical level, it saw the director up his game with several scenes that pushed the envelop for action at the time.

Extra content for the 4K release includes a documentary titled The Making of Kill Bill Vol. 1, musical performances by the band The 5.6.7.8’s, and plenty of trailers, including the infamous “bootleg” teaser.

$22.49 (was $43) | Limited-Time Deal

Anyone who enjoyed the first Kill Bill movie didn’t have to wait too long for the sequel, as Kill Bill Vol. 2 arrived a year later in 2004. It remains the only sequel in Tarantino’s filmography. Like with Vol. 1, the sequel’s 4K release includes a documentary titled The Making of Kill Bill Vol. 2 as well as the “Damoe” deleted scene, and a musical performance by Chingon.

Both films were designed to be an homage to low-budget cinema, but compared to the first movie, the Kill Bill sequel was surprisingly more restrained with its action. When it did decide to turn up the dial on cinematic violence, each action scene felt unique and shocking, exploding out of lengthy narrative sections in the movie.

7 of Tarantino’s 10 films are now be available on 4K Blu-ray

If you’d like to complete your collection of Tarantino movies, you can also grab the rest of his work on Blu-ray. Several of these films haven’t made it to 4K Blu-ray yet, but most of his greatest hits like Pulp Fiction, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, Reservoir Dogs, and Inglourious Basterds are available in 4K. Amazon has all four of those priced for $20 or less.

Earlier this year, Arrow Video released a new 4K Blu-ray edition of Inglourious Basterds with new special features, including interviews and additional featurettes. It also has new box art and a reversible sleeve. It’s available for $25 (was $50) at Amazon–but this is roughly twice the price of the original 4K release from 2021.

Big fans of Pulp Fiction should check out the Amazon-exclusive 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition for $60. It comes with a hardcover slipcase, pop-up art card, lobby card reproductions, and several other collectibles.

We’ve listed Tarantino’s films in chronological order by release year.

If you’re a big Tarantino fan and are up for some reading, his novelization of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is awesome. Amazon has the hardcover Deluxe Edition for $23.44 (was $30). There’s also a paperback edition for $10.69 (was $19).

Castlevania Complete Series Blu-Ray Preorders Restocked At Amazon

Castlevania Complete Series Blu-Ray Preorders Restocked At Amazon

by admin August 30, 2025

Castlevania: Complete Series Limited Edition is finally back in stock at Amazon for $150 (was $155). When preorders first opened July 31, Amazon sold out in less than 24 hours. The pricey box set remained out of stock at Amazon throughout August. Castlevania fans who missed out on preordering the first time have another chance to reserve the collectible box set ahead of its September 30 release. If Amazon sells out again, Walmart also opened preorders for the same price–technically it’s sold/shipped by Gruv–and you can preorder at Crunchyroll for $155.

Castlevania: Complete Series includes all four seasons of Netflix’s original Castlevania animated series. The limited-edition box set is packaged in a fancy faux-woodgrain box that houses the Blu-rays and a handful of collectibles, including an art book Ouija board, Tarot deck, and more.

Castlevania: Complete Series – Limited Edition (Blu-ray)

Notably, this collection does not come with either season of Nocturne. Season 1 of the follow-up series released on Blu-ray last fall, but Season 2 remains stuck on Netflix. To complete your Castlevania Blu-ray collection, you can pick up Nocturne Season 1 for $23 (was $40) at Amazon. Prices in the sub-$20 range for individual seasons of the show are what make Castlevania: The Complete Series a steep ask at full price. At $150, the Limited Edition box set is roughly $95 more than you’d spend buying these three Blu-rays: Seasons 1-2 bundle ($18.77), Season 3 ($19.53), and Season 4 ($20).

$150 (was $155) | Releases September 30

Castlevania: The Complete Series comes with all four seasons of the original animated Netflix show across six Blu-ray discs. The total runtime for Castlevania’s 32 episodes is 13 hours and 20 minutes; episodes range from 22-31 minutes each. Castlevania: The Complete Series is bundled inside a woodgrain-style box with decorative gold trim and a portrait of the main characters.

Here’s the full list of physical and on-disc extras that come with the Limited Edition:

  • 72-page Art Book
  • Ouija Game Board with Planchette
  • Castlevania Tarot Card Deck
  • 2 Window Cling Art Pieces
  • Collector’s Box
  • On-disc bonus content:
    • Art Galleries
    • Storyboards
    • Trailers
    • Production Animatics
    • Voice Actor Interviews

Castlevania debuted on Netflix in 2017 with a four-episode arc. It was a huge hit out of the gate. Season 2’s eight episode arc dropped in 2018 and was followed up by two 10-episode seasons in 2020-21.

The Limited Edition Blu-ray box set looks like a cool collectible and display piece for big fans of Konami’s classic game franchise and Netflix’s stylish adaptation.

We’ve listed all of the Castlevania Blu-rays below for comparison. Buying the first two seasons together is cheaper than grabbing them separately, but there is a Season 1 bundle that includes a cool T-shirt for $20.

To spend even more time with Netflix’s Castlevania series, check out the superb official art book published by Dark Horse in 2021. Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series is on sale for $27.74 (was $40) at Amazon.

A couple of Netflix’s other animated series based on video game franchises have upcoming Blu-ray releases, too. Season 2 of Arcane: League of Legends launches on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray on October 21. Just like Season 1, Arcane’s final season is getting two different Limited Edition Steelbooks. Check out our Arcane 4K Blu-ray buying guide for more details.

As mentioned, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will finally release on Blu-ray this October as a Crunchyroll Store exclusive. Fans can preorder Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for $124 (was $155) ahead of its October 23 launch.

Lost In Space Limited Edition 4K Blu-Ray Preorders Are 50% Off

by admin August 24, 2025

Amazon is offering a 50% discount on Arrow Video’s upcoming 4K Blu-ray restoration of Lost in Space. Lost in Space Limited Edition is available to preorder for only $25 (was $50) ahead of its September 2 release.

Directed by Stephen Hopkins, the sci-fi film starring Gary Oldman and William Hurt wasn’t warmly received in 1998. To be fair, the original 1960s TV series it was based on wasn’t a critical success either. Nevertheless, the film and series were commercial successes, and both are considered cult classics today. Netflix even created a reimagining of the original series back in 2018 that ran for three seasons.

If you enjoyed the Netflix series but haven’t watched the film, the new 4K Blu-ray edition should be the best way to watch it going forward. For longtime Lost in Space fans, the Limited Edition, like all of Arrow Video’s restorations of classic films, looks like a cool collector’s item.

$25 (was $50) | Releases September 2

Restored in native 4K (2160p) resolution using the original camera negative, Lost in Space’s 4K Blu-ray edition was approved by director Stephen Hopkins. Along with retaining the original aspect ratio, the 4K edition supports High Dynamic Range–Dolby Vision and HDR10–as well as two audio options: lossless stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound.

The Limited Edition comes with a reversible sleeve and cover art: One side has the original theatrical poster, while the other (shown above) is a brand-new illustration exclusive to this edition–it looks awesome. You’ll also find an illustrated booklet with commentary from Neil Sinyard, original production notes, and multiple articles on the movie that originally appeared in American Cinematographer.

In addition to the premium packaging and physical extras, Lost in Space has a bunch of on-disc bonus content, including new interviews and archival featurettes from past Blu-ray and DVD editions. You can check out the full list of Lost in Space Limited Edition features below.

Lost in Space Limited Edition Bonus Features

Fans can watch new interviews with Hopkins, screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, supervising art director Keith Pain, director of photography Peter Levy, and others.

New Features

  • Reversible sleeve and cover art
  • Illustrated booklet
  • 4K restoration from original camera negative, approved by director Stephen Hopkins
  • HDR: Dolby Vision and HDR10
  • Audio: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 / Lossless stereo audio
  • A Space Odyssey: Interview with director Stephen Hopkins

More Bonus Features

  • Audio commentary with Hopkins and Goldsman
  • Audio commentary with Peter Levy, Angus Bickerton, Lauren Ritchjie, Ray Lovejoy, and Carla Fry
  • Building the Special Effects: Featurette with Bickerton and animatics supervisor Mac Wilson
  • The Future of Space Travel: Exploring the film’s vision of the future
  • TV Years: Q&A with the original cast of the TV series
  • Bloopers
  • Deleted scenes

Lost in Space Limited Edition 4K Blu-ray (Arrow Video)

Lost in Space cleverly adapted elements from the TV show and tweaked them for the big screen. The film retains core premise of the TV series–which sees the Robinson family flung to a distant galaxy thanks to the machinations of Gary Oldman’s traitorous Dr. Zachary Smith–and adds new story elements groundbreaking visual effects at the time. Lost in Space stars an ensemble cast that includes William Hurt, Mimi Rogers, Matt LeBlanc, and Heather Graham. This was a big movie for New Line Cinema at the time it premiered, marking a pivot from the studio’s history of producing low-budget horror films and well-received indie films and into box office blockbusters.

New & Upcoming Arrow Video Limited Edition 4K Blu-rays

Arrow Video has multiple other exciting releases on the horizon, including 4K restorations of the 1997 superhero movie Spawn and a bunch of horror movies. Some of the highlights: Creepshow 2, the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness, and Ringu, the 1998 Japanese film that was remade in North America as The Ring.

All of the movies listed below are Limited Edition 4K Blu-rays. We’ve organized the list by release date.

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Season One Coming To Blu-Ray This Fall

by admin August 24, 2025

Fairy Tail was a massively popular manga and anime series during its original run from the mid-200s through the 2010s, and not long after its saga wrapped up, a new sequel series hit the scene. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest has been in print since 2018, but it wasn’t until recently that it got an anime adaptation. In case you missed out on it, the good news is that you can preorder the upcoming Blu-ray release ahead of its release for $80 on November 4 through Amazon and CrunchyRoll. This edition of the complete first season also comes inside a stylish steelbook case, featuring the main cast of Fairy Tail on the cover.

$80 | Releases November 4

Set one year after the war with the Alvarez Empire and the destruction of the evil black dragon Acnologia, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest sees Natsu Dragneel and his allies embark on an ambitious mission to seal the Five Dragon Gods. The Blu-ray release contains all 25 episodes from the first season across four discs and in 1080p, with Japanese and English audio options. For the extras, there are clean credit sequences, an interquel recap episode, and promo videos.

Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest Special Features

  • Episode 13.5 – Going Off Topic: Lucy’s Diary
  • Fairy Tail promo videos
  • Promo videos
  • Textless opening and ending songs

Check out deals on paperback box sets of the original manga.

If you’re new to the world of Fairy Tail, then you’ll also want to check out the original series. Created and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, the series is set in a magical land of wizards and follows Natsu and his eclectic friends as they take on quests for their guilds and tangled with dark wizards. While the series isn’t groundbreaking and can be slightly derivative, it’s still a consistently fun show thanks to its quirky characters, well-paced action, and emotionally heavy plots that come out of nowhere.

The best way to check out the original manga–which ran for an impressive 545 chapters across 63 volumes–is through the manga box sets currently available for sale. Each one collects around 11 paperback volumes and come with exclusive sticker sheets and a slipcase box to store them in. Pricing ranges from $60-$80 for each discounted collection.

Check out the original long-running Fairy Tail anime on Blu-ray.

The original Fairy Tale also received its own anime adaptation. All 328 episodes of the show are available on Blu-ray and include Japanese with English subtitles and the English dub, as well as a few special features like clean credit sequences and promotional materials. Collections one through ten also come with DVD copies of the series, but starting with Collection 11, these changed to Blu-ray and digital streaming code combos.

The ’90s Darkstalkers Animated TV Series Is Getting Resurrected With A New Blu-Ray Release

by admin August 23, 2025

Back in the ’90s, several classic fighting games got their own official animated series, including Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. One of the most surprising adaptations was Capcom’s cult-classic brawler Darkstalkers. While the Darkstalkers animated series has been hard to come by for decades, distributor Discotek recently revealed that it’ss bringing the entire series to Blu-ray on October 28. If you’re looking to add an overlooked piece of Darkstalkers history to your collection, you can preorder Darkstalkers: The Complete Series on Blu-ray now for $32 (was $40) at Amazon. Preorders are also in stock at Crunchyroll for $40.

$32 (was $40) | Releases October 28

This Blu-ray includes all 13 episodes from the show, presented in 480i standard definition and with an overall run time of 325 minutes. There’s not too much included here in terms of bonus materials, but you can check out on-disc extras like a series trailer, the original promotional bumpers and a credits, select commentary tracks, and a video compiling several memes from the show. The cover artwork is also a nod to the video game source material, as it’s inspired by the original artwork of the game releases on consoles like Sega Saturn.

Darkstalkers: The Complete Series Special Features

  • Series trailer
  • Commentary tracks
  • Meme compilation video
  • Promotional bumpers and credits

Loosely based on the video games, Darkstalkers revolved around the eternal battle between monsters. On the side of evil, the lord of vampires Dimitri, led his forces on a campaign of terror at the behest of his master, the cosmic menace Pyron. Opposing him were various Night Warriors–and their human ally–who were the last line of defense against Pyron and his minions.

$24 (was $30) | Now available

This isn’t the only time that Darkstalkers has received an animated adaptation, as a four-episode original video animation series ran from 1997-1998. Animated by Madhouse Studios–who had been on a roll in the ’90s with Trigun, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Yu Yu Hakusho–this was a far more faithful adaptation of the games and it was well-received thanks to its high-quality animation.

This Blu-ray was released in 2022, and it it features the OVAs remastered in 1080p and in the original aspect ratio of 1.33:1 full frame. The audio quality is also impressive, as you can watch the anime in Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0, and English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. There’s even a music-only DTS-HD Master Audio option if you want to focus purely on the visuals and soundtrack. For the extras, there’s a selection of promotional materials, sequences without the credits text, and art galleries.

Darkstalkers: The Complete OVA Collection Special Features extras

  • Original and remastered trailers and TV spots
  • Promotional videos for various Dark Stalkers video games
  • Epilogue without title text
  • Ending without text
  • Alternate Japanese ending credits sequence
  • Vintage English opening and ending sequences
  • “The Trouble Man” music video
  • Art galleries

If you’re looking to grab more Blu-rays of classic animated shows, then you can check out everything else that Discotek has to offer currently. One of the big releases on the way is Mega Man: The Complete Series, as all 27 episodes from the show’s two-season run (1994-96) are coming to Blu-ray. The new Blu-ray edition is available to preorder for $50 at Amazon or $40 at Crunchyroll ahead of its October 28 release, and it comes with a selection of archival content, TV commercials, and new commentary tracks from Mega Man’s US voice actor, Ian James Corlett.

You can also pick Street Fighter: The Animated Series for a cheesy adaptation of the Capcom fighting game series from the ’90s. The new Blu-ray release also includes commentary tracks featuring popular Fighting Game Community streamers and competitors, including Matt McMuscles and Maximillian Dood. The Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie is also available on 4K Blu-ray that includes clean credit sequences, archival promotional materials, production art, an isolated score, and various cuts of the movie in English and Japanese as extras.

Sega fans can also grab all 78 episodes of Sonic X on Blu-ray–available in both its original Japanese format or the English version–and Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva before the new game in the series arrives next year. We’re rounded up even more animated video game adaptations available on Blu-ray in the list below.

Fallout 4K Blu-Ray Deal - Catch Up Before Season 2's December Premiere

Fallout 4K Blu-Ray Deal – Catch Up Before Season 2’s December Premiere

by admin August 20, 2025

Season 1 of Amazon’s Fallout adaptation is up for grabs for $30 on 4K Blu-ray at Amazon. Fallout Season 1 released on 4K and 1080p Blu-ray as well as DVD on July 8. With Amazon’s current deal, the 4K Blu-ray edition is the same price as the 1080p edition.

Now’s not a bad time to catch up or rewatch Season 1, as Amazon has revealed Fallout Season 2 will premiere December 17. Unlike Season 1, which released all of its episodes on the same day, Season 2 will follow a traditional weekly schedule. Episodes will stream on Wednesdays, with the Season 2 finale slated for February 4.

Watch Fallout Season 1

To be clear, the Fallout 4K Blu-ray deal is for the standard edition with a plastic case, not Amazon’s exclusive Steelbook Edition. The collectible 4K Blu-ray edition sold out shortly after preorders opened in April. We saw brief restocks during launch week and in mid-July, but it’s been sold out for about a month now. Amazon has indicated this truly is a limited-edition release, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Steelbook Edition is gone for good.

$30 (was $40)

Fallout: Season 1 is a three-disc set featuring all eight episodes in 4K resolution (2160p) with HDR (Dolby Vision and HDR10). It also supports enhanced audio with Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 surround sound.

Season 1’s eight episodes clock in at 450 minutes (7.5 hours). After you’re done, you can pop in the special features disc and watch an assortment of behind-the-scenes featurettes. Like many other 4K releases of shows and movies, the bonus content is on a regular Blu-ray disc instead of 4K.

You can check out the full list of special features below:

Fallout: Season 1 Special Features:

  • Animated Content
  • Console to Camera
  • Inside Season 1
  • Prosthetics & Makeup Gone Nuclear
  • Set Your Sets on 2296
  • Welcome to the World of Fallout
  • Becoming The Ghoul
  • Creating the Wasteland
  • Safe and Sound
  • Meet the Filmmaker Jonathan Nolan
  • The Costumes of Fallout
  • Writing for the Wasteland

Season 1 released on Prime Video last April and earned positive reviews from critics and fans, making it one of the few live-action video game adaptations for TV that lived up to its namesake. It’s fairly uncommon for Amazon to release its original shows on Blu-ray, so it’s cool that Fallout is now available to watch without a subscription. The physical editions were manufactured and distributed by Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

The show follows three characters as they trek across the Wasteland–a Vault dweller heading above ground for the first time, a squire of the Brotherhood of Steel, and a deadly bounty hunter known as The Ghoul.

We’ve rounded up some cool Fallout merch below, in case you want to add some collectibles to your display shelves.

Tubbz Vault Boy Plush Duck

The official Fallout Store on Amazon is loaded with products themed around the Prime Video show and Bethesda’s game series. From backpacks and hoodies to records and figurines, there’s a little bit of everything, including a Vault Boy plush fashioned as a rubber duck, as shown above. You can also get Vault Boy, Vault Girl, Nuka-Cola, and more characters fashioned as vinyl rubber duck figures. Nuka-Girl is on sale for $8.79 (was $20), while the T-51 duck is only five bucks.

Fallout: Tubbz Rubber Duck Vinyl Figures

Fallout Action Figures

If you like action figures and statues, check out this four-pack of six-inch Fallout figures. You could also grab the premium Fallout Maximus Figure by Dark Horse for $55 (was $70). Standing 10 inches tall, the hand-painted Brotherhood of Steel collectible is a great addition to any home theater or game room.

Fallout Mega Bloks Building Sets

Fallout T-60 Power Armor Mega Bloks Set

Fallout fans who like construction sets should check out the pair of Mega Bloks sets based on the Fallout 4 video game. Both sets released last year and were sold out for months before Amazon restocked them earlier this year. The Amazon-exclusive Mega Fallout T-60 Power Armor Set comes with five micro action figures and buildable rigs (327 pieces) for $32.39. The Mega Fallout: Red Rocket Truck Stop Set is a larger 824-piece playset with multiple figures and game-accurate details. You can pick up this set for $70 (was $86).

Speaking of post-apocalyptic TV series based on video games that have received good reviews, The Last of Us Season 2 releases on 4K Blu-ray on September 23. The Limited Edition Steelbook is still available to preorder, and Amazon has dropped the price from $47 to $35.
