Cipher Mining Begins Bitcoin Production at 300 MW Black Pearl Data Center

by admin June 23, 2025

Cipher Mining (CIFR) has begun bitcoin

production at its 300-megawatt (MW) Black Pearl facility in Texas, the company announced on Monday. The launch marks a key milestone for the firm, which now operates five active bitcoin mining data centers.

Phase I of the site, currently running at 150 MW, has reached an initial hashrate of 2.5 exahashes per second (EH/s). That number is expected to rise to 9.6 EH/s by the end of the third quarter, as new mining rigs arrive and replace older units. Once fully operational, Cipher’s total fleet will push toward a self-mining capacity of 23.1 EH/s.

The company delivered the site in 16 months and credits its operational discipline for maintaining low production costs amid industry volatility.

“We’re proud to be mining bitcoin ahead of schedule,” CEO Tyler Page said in a statement.

Cipher’s broader infrastructure strategy includes a 2.6 gigawatt (GW) pipeline that may serve both high-performance computing (HPC) clients and bitcoin mining.

As competition tightens in post-halving markets, scaling cheaply and quickly has become critical for public miners like Cipher trying to retain their edge.

CIFR declined 6.9% on Monday during regular trading. Shares are higher by 1.9% after hours.

Helldivers 2’s post-death and destruction Super Earth rebuild begins, financed by more death and destruction

by admin June 23, 2025

Helldivers 2 players might have managed to stop the Illuminate from totally destroying their home planet towards the end of last month, but it still got pretty badly trashed. Enter the game’s latest mission – kick off the Super Earth rebuild by securing “reparations”.

How are those funds being secured, you ask? This is Helldivers 2, so it’s by killing a bunch more baddies.

“The monumental effort to rebuild Super Earth is underway,” confirms the order’s briefing from devs Arrowhead, “A full damage assessment has concluded, exhaustively detailing the incalculable wounds inflicted upon our sovereign homeworld — and their monetary cost, adjusted for inflation.”

In order to pay those bills, players have been ordered to secure reparations by enacting some “compulsory asset forfeiture”. Basically, they’ve got to kill 290 million Illuminate enemies and 2.9 billion bugs in just under a week.

Now, these sorts of ‘kill a big number of things’ orders have often been the most stark showcases of HD2 players’ terrifying abilities when it comes to getting stuff done over the past year and a bit. Since they end as soon as the targets are reached, a number of them – especially those that target the squishable Terminid swarms – have ended early.

MAJOR ORDER: The monumental effort to rebuild Super Earth is underway.

A full damage assessment has concluded, exhaustively detailing the incalculable wounds inflicted upon our sovereign homeworld—and their monetary cost, adjusted for inflation.

Pursuant to intergalactic law,… pic.twitter.com/jpgEwYCOKQ

This time, though, the sheer size of the bug kill total does look to be presenting a tough challenge thus far. As of writing, the game’s unofficial Galactic War tracking apps say 223,303,766 Terminids have been terminated, putting the divers on track to overshoot the deadline of three days or so they’ve got. On the other hand, things are going great with the Illuminate, with players 41.3% of the way to their goal and looking set to hit it tomorrow.

Looking at Reddit, there might be a bit of fatigue regarding Illuminate major orders setting in at the moment, with some players wishing they’d been sent after the Automatons instead for this mission.

Outside of that live-service grind psychological insight, the interesting thing about this latest mission to me is that, assuming Super Earth does eventually get rebuilt, one would assume another battle for it might be in the cards down the line. It’ll probably be a ways away, but I’d be intrigued to see how Arrowhead would go about trying to outdo the first big battle for the planet.

I’d think it’d maybe have to involve a new faction folks have spent less time fighting than the three in the game right now, and some sort of twist on the sequence of fights to hold different mega cities that we got first time around.

Anyway, I’ll stop speculating before I get to the point oftrying to guess what the second battle for Super Earth’s commemorative cape might look like.

Bitcoin Vs. Ripple Xrp Meme War Begins On X

Meme War Begins on X

by admin June 20, 2025

There’s a hilarious crypto meme war happening on X. It all started when a Bitcoin account trolled XRP with a meme. The image showed a kid checking the bottom of his shoe with the caption, “I stepped in some crap.” The second image revealed that the “crap” was XRP.

The funny meme post | Source: X

The XRP army clapped back in numbers. One user shared the same meme, but flipped it. This time, the caption read, “I stepped in some crap… it was slow,” with XRP shown under the shoe.

Another funny meme showed Bitcoin as a regular horse, while XRP was pictured as a robotic horse leading the way. The trend quickly took off, with users comparing both cryptocurrencies in creative ways.

One user quoted Ripple’s CTO David Schwartz, who once said that the XRP Ledger, the blockchain powered by XRP, was created to fix Bitcoin. The quote read: “Jed McCaleb, Arthur Britto, and I created the XRP Ledger to solve for the waste and scalability issues that we observed with Bitcoin.” He said. “Estimates suggest Bitcoin mining uses approximately 73 terawatts, the equivalent power of what the whole of the Czech Republic consumes. They also saw some serious issues with speed, scalability and control. Our initial read indicated that there could be significant problems, such as a 51% attack, if any miner obtained greater than 50% of the mining power that risk persists with Bitcoin (and Ethereum) today as mining power has consolidated in China. Fellow XRP fans agreed with this.

A user even trolled XRP holders, joking that they bought the token back in 2016 and missed out on Bitcoin’s big gains. The post read, “I feel sorry for XRP holders, imagining buying that in 2016 and not buying Bitcoin.”

The meme war only grew from there, with both sides posting pictures, jokes, and opinions. However, some treated it like it’s just a fun game, while others took it very seriously. Some even claimed that Bitcoin fans are scared of XRP taking over.

In short, this is just another day in the crypto space on X. The yab between crypto fans is not just starting today. However, this back and forth has been going on for hours with both sides, and even fans from other major cryptocurrencies are posting more hilarious memes.

When Amazon’s sales event begins, early deals already live, plus everything else you need to know

by admin June 17, 2025

Now that we know Amazon Prime Day will be coming up soon on July 8 to 11, it’s time to start thinking about what you may want to snag at a discount during the sale. If you pay the $139 annual fee for Prime, sale events like these are a great time to stock up on essentials and cross things off your wishlist while you can save some money. Most discounts will be exclusively available to Prime subscribers, but there are always a few that anyone shopping on Amazon can grab. Similarly, there are always early deals in the days and weeks leading up to Prime Day, and this year is no different. Here, we’ve collected the best Prime Day deals you can shop for right now and we’ll keep updating this post as we get close to Prime Day proper.

Prime Day deals: Early deals to shop now

Prime Day deals under $50

Anker 313 wireless charging stand for $14 (29 percent off): One of our top picks for the best wireless chargers, Anker’s 313 stand keeps things simple but effective. Just plop your phone down on its wide stand to get up to 10W of fast-charging power. It supports both portrait and landscape orientation for your phone, and it’ll work with cases up to 5mm thick.

Anker 633 10K magnetic battery pack for $43 (28 percent off, Prime exclusive): This 10K battery pack attaches magnetically to the backs of iPhones, making it easy to recharge while on the go. It also has a built-in kickstand for easy video watching or FaceTime calling while powering up.

Soundcore Space A40 wireless earbuds for $45 (44 percent off): The Space A40 are some of the best budget wireless earbuds you can get right now, thanks to excellent ANC performance for their price, a pleasant sound profile, a comfortable fit and multi-device connectivity. They also have a solid eight-hour battery life, plus an extra 40 with their charging case.

Prime Day Apple deals

Apple AirPods 4 for $99 at Amazon ($30 off): Apple’s wireless earbuds don’t have the best sound quality or battery life, and this entry-level model lacks wireless charging, Find My tracking and onboard volume controls. But it still gets you tons of Apple-friendly features — from fast pairing with iCloud devices to spatial audio to hands-free Siri — and its lightweight design should fit most ears better than previous AirPods.

Apple iPad (A16) for $299 at Amazon ($50 off): The latest base model iPad comes with a faster A16 chip, 2GB more RAM and 128GB of storage as standard. It earned a score of 84 in our review — if you only need an iPad for roaming the internet, watching shows and doing some lighter productivity tasks, it’s a good starter tablet.

Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, M4) for $849 ($150 off): The latest MacBook Air is the top pick in our guide to the best laptops, and it earned a score of 92 in our review. It’s another spec bump, but that’s not a bad thing — the design remains exceptionally thin, light and well-built, with long battery life and a top-notch keyboard and trackpad. Now it’s a bit faster. (Though we’d still love more ports and a refresh rate higher than 60Hz.)

Apple Mac Mini M4 for $499 ($100 off): If you prefer desktops, the upgraded M4 Mac mini is one that won’t take up too much space, but will provide a ton of power at the same time. Not only does it come with an M4 chipset, but it also includes 16GB of RAM in the base model, plus front-facing USB-C and headphone ports for easier access.

Apple Watch Series 10 for $299 ($100 off): We consider Apple’s flagship wearable to be the best smartwatch you can buy, period. It’s a mostly iterative update, with faster charging, a slightly slimmer design and a marginally larger display than the prior Series 9. That said, it’s still a comprehensive fitness tracker, and no other smartwatch can integrate as neatly with iPhones and other Apple devices.

Apple Pencil Pro for $99 ($30 off): The highest-end option in Apple’s confusing stylus lineup, the Pencil Pro supports pressure sensitivity, wireless charging, tilt detection, haptic feedback and support for Apple’s double tap and squeeze gestures. It’s a lovely tool for intricate sketching and note-taking, but the catch is that it’s only compatible with the M4 iPad Pro, M2 and M3 iPad Air and most recent iPad mini.

Prime Day tech deals

Anker MagGo 3-in-1 charging station for $82 (25 percent off): A top pick in our guide to the best multi-device wireless chargers, this Anker power station can charge a phone, pair of earbuds and smartwatch all at once. It’s primarily built for Apple devices, with a built-in Apple Watch charger and a neat space for AirPods. It’s a solid option for frequent travelers thanks to the fact that it folds up to roughly the size of a deck of cards when not in use.

Amazon Fire TV Cube for $100 ($40 off): Amazon’s most powerful streaming device, the Fire TV Cube can play 4K video with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, plus it supports Wi-Fi 6E and has a built-in Ethernet port for those who want a hardwired connection.

Levoit Core 400S air purifier for $185 ($35 off): Our top pick for the best air purifier, Levoit’s Core 400S reliably improved air quality in our testing, plus it has easy to use onboard controls and replaceable filters that are not too expensive. We also found it to not be offensively loud, even on its highest setting.

Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 for $200 ($50 off): The latest Powerbeats Pro earbuds have a comfier design and powerful bass performance that’s sure to keep you hyped during a workout. These are Apple’s first wireless earbuds with built-in heart rate monitoring, too, but that will likely only appeal to those who intend on using these buds primarily while working out.

What is Prime Day?

Prime Day is Amazon’s members-only shopping event, which means you’ll have to be a Prime subscriber on Prime Day to take advantage of most of the savings. Amazon still offers a 30-day free trial to new Prime subscribers, so you can start your free trial closer to July and participate in the event.

When is Prime Day 2025?

Amazon Prime Day 2025 will be back this year on July 8 through July 11.

How often is Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day typically comes around annually in July. In the last few years, Amazon has also had its “Big Deal Days” in October, which is effectively a second Prime Day and the unofficial kickoff to the holiday shopping season.

How does Prime Day work?

Prime subscribers can go to Amazon’s site on Prime Day to see all of the exclusive deals they have access to. Prime subscribers do not have to do anything additional to get Prime Day sales: the discounts you see on product pages will show up in your cart automatically. If you’re not a Prime subscriber and you go to Amazon to shop on Prime Day, you’ll likely see tons of items on sale but only “with Prime;” those discounts will not be available to those who are not active Prime subscribers.

If you don’t pay for Prime and have no intention of doing so, you should still check out Amazon on Prime Day for sales that are available to all shoppers — there are always a few of them. Plus, it’s very likely that other retailers like Walmart, Target and Best Buy will have their own competing Prime Day sales during that time frame, too.

Batman Begins 20 Years Later: Ranking Nolan Trilogy Characters

by admin June 14, 2025

Image: Warner Bros. Pictures

You can’t make a list about this trilogy without mentioning the Joker and his performance, which is so iconic that it outshines the hero of the story. It is an interpretation that, when first seen in a picture, initially received negative feedback. But now, all that has essentially been erased from reality, as if no one had ever had a negative thing to say about it. Heath Ledger’s Joker reinterpreted this character for a new era in our culture, and this Joker, not much different than other versions at its core, was perfect for this Michael Mann crime film-inspired world of The Dark Knight. It was an interpretation that changed the way the Oscars work. This take on the Joker is one of the first times I recall a superhero movie where people argue that the Joker is right.

From his messy makeup to his dark jokes about his scars he uses to scare people, the Joker is something Bruce just doesn’t understand, even with constant advice from Alfred. The Joker’s terrorism in Gotham shakes everyone to their core, from citizens and the government to even the criminals, as he attacks the soul of Gotham to prove his nihilistic views of the world.

The Joker attacks what is in this film the heart of the city—Harvey Dent—and shatters Batman’s hope. Batman loses in this film; while the Joker is stopped, he ultimately achieves his goals in the end. It wasn’t Batman who proved the Joker wrong – it was a convict. Batman and Gordon had lied to everyone so that the city wouldn’t fall apart, and in the end, Batman had to become the villain to the public. It’s rare to see Batman lose, but with the Joker, it’s the only time it ever makes sense.

ASE adopts AMD CPUs, begins evaluating Instinct MI300-series GPUs for AI

by admin June 6, 2025

AMD this week said in a blog post that ASE Technology, the world’s largest outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) provider, has transitioned to EPYC and Ryzen processors across its data centers and client systems, respectively. The transition has resulted in significant performance improvements and energy efficiency gains. However, perhaps more important is that ASE is now evaluating AMD’s Instinct MI300-series processors for AI workloads.

By adopting AMD’s EPYC processors for servers and Ryzen CPUs for client desktop and laptop PCs, ASE achieved a 50% boost in system performance and a 6.5% reduction in power consumption compared to its previous infrastructure, which resulted in a 30% decrease in total cost of ownership, delivering both operational and financial benefits. AMD’s blog does not disclose which processors ASE used before adopting AMD-based solutions, nor does it indicate whether all systems in ASE’s fleet now use EPYC or Ryzen processors. However, the mention of operational and financial benefits points to a substantial adoption of AMD-based systems.

“We need to handle a big volume of data analysis, including leading-edge technology for AI applications and our smart factories,” said Jekyll Chen, Director of IT Infrastructure for ASE. “We work for many semiconductor companies. Our challenges are the need for high performance, low latency, and high core count, in alignment with ASE’s ESG policy. Stability and scalability are two primary goals for us.”

ASE Technology Holdings is the world’s largest outsourced semiconductor assembly and test provider, with packaging facilities in China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan. The company has worked with AMD on advanced 2.5D packaging since 2007, and this largely resulted in the invention of high-bandwidth memory (HBM). However, while ASE does provide packaging services for AMD these days, we are unsure whether ASE packages AMD’s AI GPUs, as Instinct processors utilize TSMC’s CoWoS technology.

AMD says that many companies are adopting or evaluating its Instinct processors for on-prem AI inference, though ASE is probably the first company of this scale to confirm the evaluation of these accelerators. In fact, the confirmation may indicate that ASE is close to adopting Instinct MI300-series GPUs for its internal AI workloads.

“We must perform data processing, run AI algorithms, and make sure everything operates smoothly, efficiently, and with the flexibility needed in our smart factories,” Chen said. “For client PCs, we need to make sure that they meet the needs of engineering design and the high-performance objectives of digital transformation. We also evaluated the performance, stability, core count, efficiency, total cost of ownership, AI speed, and multi-tasking capabilities of the new servers.”

K33 begins Bitcoin buying with 10 BTC purchase for treasury strategy

by admin June 3, 2025

Norwegian digital asset brokerage K33 has acquired 10 Bitcoin for approximately SEK 10 million.

This purchase marks the first transaction under its newly launched Bitcoin Treasury strategy. The Oslo-based company, listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, plans to scale its Bitcoin (BTC) holdings over time, aiming for a minimum of 1,000 BTC.

🚨 It begins. K33 has made its first Bitcoin treasury purchase, and 10 BTC is now held on our balance sheet.

This is more than a transaction. It’s the opening move in a long-term strategy rooted in conviction and operational synergies.

We’re just getting started. pic.twitter.com/EGXi0WJqnj

— K33 (@K33HQ) June 3, 2025

The purchase follows K33’s announcement on May 28 that it raised SEK 60 million (around $5.6 million) from insiders and aligned investors, including Klein Group and Modiola AS, to fund its Bitcoin treasury.

The capital raise involved the issuance of 150.56 million new shares and 301.12 million free warrants, with the latter potentially unlocking an additional SEK 75 million if fully exercised before March 2026.

CEO Torbjørn Bull Jenssen said the strategy reflects K33’s belief in Bitcoin’s long-term role in the global financial system. “Our ambition is to build a balance of at least 1,000 BTC over time and then scale from there,” he said.

Bitcoin as a strategy

K33’s move aligns with a growing trend among public companies using Bitcoin as a strategic asset.

Interest from corporations in digital assets is increasing, with more and more public companies allocating Bitcoin to their balance sheets, according to a recent report from Binance.

K33 offers crypto trading, custody, and research services to institutional clients across EMEA.

By directly holding BTC, the firm aims to deepen synergies between its treasury assets and brokerage business, further anchoring its position in the digital asset market.

New ATH Not That Important, Shiba Inu (SHIB) Growth Begins, Dogecoin’s (DOGE) Path to $0.30 Begins Again

by admin May 23, 2025

  • Shiba inu revitalized
  • Dogecoin falls back

Bitcoin has officially surpassed the $111,000 mark and entered new all-time-high territory. However, in spite of this technical milestone, the overall market reaction has been remarkably subdued. This recent surge feels more like a grind than an explosive move in contrast to the euphoria-fueled rally of 2021 or the parabolic runs of 2017. In terms of technical analysis, Bitcoin is still strongly rising.

The 50-day EMA is now comfortably above the 200-day, confirming a golden cross. The breakout above the resistance level of $102,000 has held firm, and volume is increasing gradually. When you look more closely, though, you start to see indications of overextension. The price has moved far from short-term moving averages and the RSI is well into overbought territory at 77, indicating that a possible correction is imminent.

BTC/USDT Chart by TradingView

Even though the ATH breakout occurred, the lack of substantial capital inflow is more telling. In previous cycles, breaking an ATH usually resulted in a surge of institutional and retail purchases. This time, rather than fresh liquidity flooding the market, it appears to be more about existing capital rotating and shorts being squeezed. Bitcoin’s recent sharp increase was aided by $239 million in short liquidations, but if new buyers do not enter the market, that momentum may not last.

The ATH is more psychological than market-defining in this situation. While it is a confirmation of the long-term bullish structure, it has not yet set off the type of rally driven by FOMO that we have witnessed in past cycles. Short-term upside might be constrained in the absence of that catalyst.

Before the next leg, Bitcoin might need to cool off. It would not be shocking to see a correction toward the $101,000-$102,000 breakout zone, which might offer more solid support for a long-term upward move. The new ATH is more of a checkbox than a party until actual inflows make a comeback.

Shiba inu revitalized

Following some tumultuous weeks, Shiba Inu is displaying signs of regaining strength. The meme-inspired asset has shown signs of a possible change in momentum by convincingly rebounding off the 100 EMA. Due to the subsequent uptick, SHIB has regained its position above the $0.0000150 mark, which is a short-term psychological threshold. This important support level held firm. More encouraging is the 26 EMA’s behavior, which is currently curling upward and closely following the price.

You Might Also Like

This is a technical indication that buyers are taking back control and that short-term sentiment is improving, and it frequently signals the start of a momentum expansion phase. If this pattern continues, SHIB might make a serious effort to take back the 200 EMA, which is currently serving as resistance close to the $0.000016 mark.

The return of the asset to a medium-term uptrend would be confirmed by a successful break above the 200 EMA. Traders ought to exercise caution, though, as a double top could form. If volume does not support further upside, the previous high at $0.000017 might serve as a cap, and a failure to break higher could cause a retracement back toward the 100 EMA.

The current bounce appears to be more of a technical relief move than a euphoric breakout, as volume is still low when compared to previous breakouts. However, gains could accelerate if SHIB is able to draw in enough buy-side pressure to break through the 200 EMA.

Dogecoin falls back

As it traces a course back toward the crucial $0.30 level, Dogecoin is making yet another determined effort to regain its gains. DOGE has now decisively broken through the descending trendline, which usually marks the end of a correction phase and the start of a possible recovery rally following a period of consolidation and a steep retracement from prior highs. DOGE is heading toward a crucial test at $0.25, a level that has historically served as strong resistance and is currently trading close to $0.24.

You Might Also Like

A breakout with significant volume could push the rally to $0.28-$0.30, which could act as a structural and psychological ceiling. The configuration appears promising from a technical standpoint. A potential momentum expansion phase is indicated by the 26 EMA converging with the 50 and 100 EMAs. When accompanied by a distinct pattern breakout, as is the case with the falling wedge that DOGE has just exited, this alignment frequently signals the start of a stronger bullish move.

But traders should exercise caution. If DOGE is unable to break and hold above the $0.25 resistance, there is still a chance of a double top. An immediate retreat back toward support at the 100 EMA or around $0.21 may result from this. This most recent upswing has seen a steady increase in volume, which suggests that interest is returning but is not yet at levels that point to euphoric buying.
