Nintendo’s new Fire Emblem mobile game has an Among Us-style twist

by admin September 25, 2025

Nintendo is releasing a new Fire Emblem mobile game, Fire Emblem Shadows. The company says the game is a spinoff of the series and “introduces a new style of battles featuring role-playing and social deduction.”

The company’s description of the game indicates that Shadows will have Among Us-like elements of treachery:

One of the three allies participating in each battle is secretly a treacherous disciple of shadow. Players choose to take on the role of either a disciple of light, aiming to find their way through the labyrinth, or a disciple of shadow.

After the initial battle, players vote to determine who they believe is the treacherous disciple of shadow. The outcome of the vote affects whether the next battle is more favorable or more challenging. Whether the disciples of light can correctly discover the traitor—or the disciple of shadow can successfully deceive the others—holds the key to how the next battle unfolds.

Nintendo says Fire Emblem Shadows is available for iOS and Android, and while it’s a free-to-play app, it will have optional in-app purchases.

The company’s other mobile take on Fire Emblem, the gacha-style Fire Emblem Heroes, quickly turned into a big and lucrative hit after its 2017 release, and the game still receives regular updates and new heroes. Nintendo also recently announced a new entry in the series for Switch 2, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.

There’s a new Fire Emblem game out today, with Among Us-style social deduction gameplay, and it’s rubbish

by admin September 25, 2025

Nintendo has revealed a new Fire Emblem game available now for smartphones, which includes Among Us-style social deduction.

Called Fire Emblem Shadows, it has three players battling enemies – but one is a traitor. Afterwards, players vote on who they think the traitor is, before battling each other.

And honestly? It’s absolute rubbish.

Fire Emblem Shadows – Launch TrailerWatch on YouTube

Fire Emblem games are known for their tactical strategy, but Shadows is simply a grid-based auto-battler where you character moves and attacks automatically. You then select from a handful of moves that regenerate on cooldowns to either heal or activate different magical attacks.

And that, really, is the extent of gameplay. There’s little interaction, barely any strategy. It’s just watching little chibi characters hit each other. You can win without selecting anything.

Then there’s the touted social deduction, which boils down to which of the other players may have accidentally on purpose hit you. It’s usually pretty obvious, but worse is the fact there is barely any consequence for guessing either way. The second round proceeds accordingly, with good players now battling evil, and if you previously guessed correctly you get a piddly amount of extra health.

The reason Among Us worked and popularised social deduction is being able to actually speak to people and screw over your friends. Here you’re matched with random players online with no form of communication. You just select another player and move on to the battle without really caring.

On top of all that is the usual gacha nonsense for a free-to-play game. There’s a season pass, multiple currencies, various weapons and abilities to attach to characters, and new characters to unlock. I spotted another player as a cute little Dimitri from Three Houses, but I have neither the cash or the will to find out how to unlock him.

I was excited to try out a new Fire Emblem, even if it is on mobile, but its deception-based gameplay is fundamentally flawed and shallow.

If you want to try it out, it’s available now for free across iOS and Google Play.

But really, just hold out for the next mainline entry in the series – Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave was revealed at Nintendo’s recent Direct and will come to Switch 2 next year.

UniCredit, ING Among 9 Banks Launching Euro Stablecoin

by admin September 25, 2025

A group of major European banks have joined forces to launch a euro-pegged stablecoin in compliance with Europe’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

Dutch lender ING and Italy’s UniCredit are among nine banks participating in the development of a new euro-denominated stablecoin, according to a joint statement published by ING on Thursday.

Built in compliance with Europe’s MiCA regulation, the stablecoin is planned to be issued in the second half of 2026, with a mission to become a trusted European payment standard in the digital ecosystem.

The announcement notes that the initiative aligns with Europe’s plans to provide a local alternative to the US-dominated stablecoin market, contributing to its strategic autonomy in payments.

Banks from eight EU member states initially involved

Alongside ING and UniCredit, the European stablecoin initiative also includes Spain’s CaixaBank, Denmark’s Danske Bank, Austria’s Raiffeisen Bank International, Belgium’s KBC, Sweden’s SEB, Germany’s DekaBank and another Italian lender, Banca Sella.

The founding members have also established a new company headquartered in the Netherlands, ING’s home country, to oversee the development and management of the stablecoin.

The banking consortium said in the joint announcement that it remains open to other banks joining the stablecoin project.

24/7 access to cross-border payments

According to the statement by ING, the projected euro stablecoin is expected to provide “near-instant, low-cost payments and settlements,” enabling 24/7 access to cross-border payments.

The stablecoin is also set to offer programmable payments and improvements to supply chain management and digital asset settlements, which can vary from securities to cryptocurrencies.

“Digital payments are key for new euro-denominated payments and financial market infrastructure,” said Floris Lugt, ING’s digital asset lead and joint public representative for the project.

“We believe this development requires an industry-wide approach, and it’s imperative that banks adopt the same standards,” he added.

Garrett sees himself, Parsons among ‘very best in this generation’

by admin September 20, 2025

Daniel Oyefusi covers the Cleveland Browns for ESPN. Prior to ESPN, he covered the Miami Dolphins for the Miami Herald, as well as the Baltimore Ravens for The Baltimore Sun.

BEREA, Ohio — Browns defensive end Myles Garrett and Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons are two of the highest-paid players at their position, and Garrett made it clear how he thinks they measure up in the pantheon of edge rushers.

“I think we’re two of the very best,” Garrett said. “I think we’re two of the very best in this generation, so just got to continue to lead the way. There are definitely some other names in that conversation, but I think saying that he’s in it and that I’m in it is not out of the norm.”

Garrett’s comments come two days before Cleveland’s Week 3 matchup against Green Bay and the second meeting of the pass rushers who reset the market for their position in the past seven months.

In March, Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million extension with the Browns that, at the time, made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. It also ended a stalemate between him and the organization after he requested a trade the previous month.

Last month, Parsons was traded to the Packers amid a contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys and signed a four-year, $188 million contract with Green Bay that not only surpassed Garrett but eclipsed Pittsburgh Steelers pass rusher T.J. Watt and Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase as the highest for a non-quarterback.

Garrett, who trained with Parsons in Dallas during the offseason, said the two kept in contact, and he offered advice during Parsons’ contract dispute and trade request with the Cowboys.

“Holy s—, he did it,” Garrett said of his reaction when Parsons was traded and received a record-setting extension. “Now, I remember him talking about … [we] were sitting in the sauna during the offseason. He’s like, ‘If I get a deal, I’m going to beat the blank out of your deal.’ And he went out there and got it.”

Parsons, a four-time Pro Bowler, has recorded 54 career sacks since entering the NFL in 2021. He and Hall of Famer Reggie White are the only players in NFL history to record at least 12 sacks in each of their first four seasons, and Parsons appreciates the growing bond he has with Garrett.

“Competing and understanding what he’s done for the game of football and how he’s came in and dominated, but then also offering fellowship and mentorship, I think that’s what separates the good and the great. Like just being a big brother, a big friend outside of football,” Parsons said of Garrett earlier this week. “And you see his work ethic, and you see his process and you say, ‘OK, this is why this guy is this good and this great.'”

Garrett, the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, is the first player to record 100 career sacks before his 29th birthday since sacks became an official stat in 1982.

Through two games, Garrett is tied for the league lead with 3.5 sacks. Parsons has 1.5 sacks and is tied for third with nine pressures.

Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees said the offensive line would have to be “hyper aware” of Parsons, and coach Kevin Stefanski called him “elite.”

“If you’re up and coming, you want to learn how to rush, as a high schooler, college player, he’s one of the guys you have to watch,” Garrett said.

Parsons, who has been on a snap count (30 in Week 1, 47 in Week 2) since the trade as he dealt with a back issue, no longer appears on the team’s injury report, but he is unsure if he’ll still be limited by the team.

“Who knows? We’ve got two more games and the bye, so we’ll see how they feel,” Parsons said. “They’ll probably let me know tomorrow what’s going on, but hopefully, it just keeps wearing down to a full game.”

When asked if there was any reason for him to be a snap count, Parsons replied, “I mean, training camp’s four weeks for a reason. It takes a while, but the training staff, we’ve been working out before and after every day, so we’re slowly getting there.”

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky contributed to this report.

Even the studio that wrote The Wolf Among Us 2 doesn’t know what’s going on with it

by admin September 18, 2025

Telltale’s second series-slash-sequel, The Wolf Among Us 2, has become notoriously hard to pin down. Originally announced in 2017, the game disappeared when Telltale closed in 2018, then it was resurrected in 2019 only to disappear again in 2023, amid what sounded like burnout from crunch. And we haven’t heard a peep since.

But I had a chance to speak to the studio which was originally making the game for Telltale (then a kind of publisher but now making the game internally, it seems) to see if I could find out what was going on. That original developer was AdHoc Studio, a team formed by former Telltale staff, many of whom worked on the original The Wolf Among Us game.

AdHoc co-founder Nick Herman directed the first episode of The Wolf Among Us (known as “Faith”), and he told me AdHoc was working on the follow-up, The Wolf Among Us 2, for about two years. But as to why the studio stopped working on it, he said: “Look, the truth is…”

The Wolf Among Us 2.Watch on YouTube

He was interrupted by fellow co-founder Pierre Shorette, another Telltale alumni, who asked with a smile, “Yeah why did we stop working on that, Nick?”

Put on the spot, Herman continued: “We wrote a season, Season Two. We think it’s better than Season One – and we were on Season One. And yeah, we’re really proud of it. We were doing tests. We were in cinematics and animation and stuff. And then basically they needed more time.

“They weren’t… We weren’t running the project. It was Telltale we were doing it in partnership with. And we couldn’t wait around and do nothing, so we had to move on to Dispatch to keep the studio moving, and they needed to go their own way.

“We’re looking forward to seeing what they do with it,” Herman added. “I don’t know how much of our version of the script is going to make it into what they end up making. But if one day we were able to make the thing that we wrote and were in the middle of directing, we think people would love it. So, you know, good luck.”

“Spicy,” added Shorette.

AdHoc’s new game Dispatch.Watch on YouTube

Dispatch – the game Herman mentioned – is the studio’s self-published debut game, released in partnership with role-play mega-group Critical Role and featuring some of the actors from there in the game. Award-winning actor Laura Bailey is one of them. Bailey was actually attached to Dispatch long before it was called Dispatch – even before AdHoc was working on The Wolf Among Us 2

The project back then was, bizarrely, linked in a roundabout way with US retail giant Walmart – a company connected to Walmart anyway. And AdHoc’s fledgling live-action superhero idea got quite far. It had shoot dates and everything was going ahead but then March 2020 rolled around and Covid flattened it. A blessing in disguise, Herman joked. “You’re asking a bunch of game devs to shoot a TV show,” he said. “It would have been a fun failure.”

The studio moved onto The Wolf Among Us 2 after that, in a work-for-hire capacity, but when that project stalled, it returned to the superhero idea and Dispatch, as we know it now, was born.

Dispatch is a superhero workplace comedy formed from a recognisably Telltale cinematic choice-and-consequence mould, albeit with added mini-games, and it looks enormously promising. It stars Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul as Robert Robertson, a man who loses the use of his superpowered mech suit so needs to get a desk job dispatching misfit superheroes to fight crime. They are unruly. Many jokes ensue.

Notably, Dispatch will be an episodically released game, but all eight episodes will be released in quick succession over the course of a month – two a week starting 22nd October. It won’t be a case of waiting months for them. There’s a demo of Dispatch on Steam if you fancy giving the game a go.

After Dispatch, AdHoc will move onto making a fully fledged game for Critical Role, set in the fantasy world of Exandria, which is where the group’s acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons adventures have taken place.

Fantasy football free agent pickups: Daniel Jones among top options to replace injured QBs

Fantasy football free agent pickups: Daniel Jones among top options to replace injured QBs

by admin September 16, 2025

  • Eric KarabellSep 15, 2025, 03:18 PM ET

Eric Karabell is a senior writer for fantasy baseball, football and basketball at ESPN. Eric is a charter member of FSWA Hall of Fame and author of “The Best Philadelphia Sports Arguments”.

The second Sunday of the NFL season was kinder to fantasy football managers than the first, with six players surpassing 30 PPR points, led by three of the top wide receivers in the sport.

Well, it was kinder unless you are one who relies on Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow. While seven games featured 50 or more combined points (entering Monday night) and individual scoring was abundant, the long-term absence of last season’s No. 3 fantasy scorer among quarterbacks should have the most lingering effects to fantasy managers.

Unfortunately, the bad quarterback news isn’t limited to Burrow. New York Jets dual threat Justin Fields is in the concussion protocol and could miss Sunday’s road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Washington Commanders star Jayden Daniels is dealing with a knee injury and is uncertain for Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders; and Minnesota Vikings starter J.J. McCarthy is dealing with an ankle injury and not expected to play against the Bengals on Sunday.

Play the No. 1 fantasy game

The season has kicked off but there’s still time to start fresh with a 0-0 record. Create a league with friends and family, or join a public league. Your championship run starts today! Sign Up Now >>

Each Monday, before the current NFL week ends, we will identify players available in at least 50% of ESPN standard leagues worthy of your attention, from standard formats to deeper options. The NFL is a weekly league, and player valuation and roles seldom remain stagnant. It does not matter how you acquire players for your fantasy rosters, just that you get them.

Quarterback

Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals (rostered in 0.0% of ESPN leagues): We start with this career backup, but many fantasy managers can do better in single-QB formats. Browning, 29, made seven starts during the 2023 season, and he played capably, averaging 20 fantasy points per game. Burrow (toe) is expected to miss three months. Browning scored 17.74 points in Sunday’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, though that included three interceptions. He gets to throw to excellent WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, and RB Chase Brown isn’t so bad, either. Still, he may be more for the superflex/2QB community. The Bengals play challenging opponents in Minnesota and Denver the next two weeks.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (33.5%): If you’re going to lose a fantasy star in a standard league, let it be a quarterback. There is depth here. For example, while Stafford hasn’t registered a top-10 fantasy week yet, scoring 13.6 points against the Houston Texans in Week 1 and 17.32 Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, he is a solid player and far too available. He is playing through a back injury, but he is playing. Let him represent, for this space, numerous veteran passers that deserve streaming attention over Browning. The Rams play a revenge game (from last season’s playoffs) in Philadelphia this week, but Stafford threw for 324 yards and two scores there in January. He shouldn’t be overwhelmed.

Daniel Jones is second to only Lamar Jackson in total fantasy points this season, and he has a friendly matchup with the Titans in Week 3. Christine Tannous-USA TODAY Network via Imagn Images

Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts (21.2%): Fantasy managers may not have bought into his Week 1 performance, when he ran for a pair of touchdowns. They wanted to see more in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos. Jones topped 20 points again, scoring his third rushing touchdown, but he also passed for 316 yards. The Colts play the Tennessee Titans in Week 3, and that is an attractive matchup. Jones may not rise all the way past 50% this week, but he appears worth relying on this week.

Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers (0.6%): Jones filled in capably for starter Brock Purdy (toe), throwing for 279 yards and 3 TDs at New Orleans. Jones is no rookie, and certainly there are talented playmakers (and good coaching) surrounding him. He may be starting in Weeks 3 and 4 at home against the Cardinals and Jaguars. We recommend him over Browning, but then again, Browning should have the starting job for considerably longer, and that is a consideration for desperate fantasy managers, too.

Deep-league options/streamers/random thoughts

Running back

Bhayshul Tuten made the most of his 10 touches Sunday vs. Cincinnati, finishing with 15.4 fantasy points. Ian Johnson/Icon Sportswire

Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars (40.0%): Starter Travis Etienne Jr. scored 16.9 points on Sunday, handling 16 touches, but the rookie Tuten earned 10, which is quite noteworthy. He turned them into 74 yards and a receiving touchdown, for 15.4 points. Most believe Etienne was the beneficiary of the Tank Bigsby trade to the Philadelphia Eagles, but it is probably the ascending Tuten, who already is quickly approaching flex status.

Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons (34.1%): Allgeier is probably overqualified to be a backup, but there is no controversy when it comes to star Bijan Robinson. Still, Allgeier topped 600 rushing yards each of the past two seasons, and he should do so again. The Falcons rushed for more than 200 yards in an impressive Sunday night road win in Minnesota. Robinson, of course, led the way. Allgeier did little in Week 1, so fantasy managers moved on. They may move him back to rosters after he earned 17 touches, a touchdown and 15.0 points.

Deep-league options/streamers/random thoughts

  • Rams backup Blake Corum (5.3%) turned one of his five touches from Sunday into a touchdown, and thus 10.4 points. Ho hum, but there really aren’t enough relevant running backs available in 50% of leagues to feature here. Many fantasy managers likely rely on a wide receiver (or even a tight end) in their flex position. Corum may become a star at some point if Kyren Williams gets hurt, but Williams is not hurt.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers backup Kenneth Gainwell (10%) gained marginally better than he did in Week 1, but still, 59 yards on 20 touches over two games are not so much. Gainwell was among the most-added running backs entering Week 2, but it is tough to make a case for him, or any other available running backs before the bye weeks.

Wide receiver

Editor’s Picks

1 Related

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers (20.3%): Doubs presumably moves up a notch in the hierarchy after starter Jayden Reed fractured his collarbone last Thursday. The problem with the hierarchy is that it is possible no Packers WR breaks out of a solid, deep rotation, especially when RB Josh Jacobs earns massive volume, and TE Tucker Kraft boasts 140 receiving yards in two games. Doubs caught three passes for 28 yards against the Washington Commanders, one for a touchdown. He is readily available. In any given week, it may be Doubs leading the way, or rookie Matthew Golden, or much like last season when nary a Packer reached 60 receptions or 900 receiving yards, nobody will shine. Drop Reed, who may not play again until November, but do not assume any Packers become WR3 options, or even safe WR4s.

Elic Ayomanor, Tennessee Titans (7.7%): The Stanford rookie has caught six of 13 targets through two weeks, but he scored a touchdown Sunday, and there is room to grow with fellow newcomer QB Cam Ward. Star WR Calvin Ridley has been held to single-digit points in each game. Keep Ridley rostered, of course, but Ayomanor deserves some attention as well.

DeAndre Hopkins, Baltimore Ravens (9.7%): Hopkins has secured shiny touchdown catches in each of the first two weeks, which is great, but it probably is not sustainable unless he sees more volume. Hopkins has only four catches on four targets. That’s it. Why is he listed here? Well, people know his name, and it is possible QB Lamar Jackson will look his way more in the coming weeks. Just don’t assume you have to get Hopkins when Zay Flowers is the volume receiving option.

Deep-league options/streamers/random thoughts

  • New York Giants starter Wan’Dale Robinson (29.9%) scored 28.2 points in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys, as Russell Wilson achieved a hearty 450 passing yards. Don’t expect Wilson — and thus Robinson — to repeat the performance in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, if ever again.

  • Denver Broncos second-year option Troy Franklin (2.0%) caught eight passes and a touchdown Sunday, scoring 24.0 points, and he is clearly pushing Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr. for attention. This is a good thing. Franklin may be Denver’s top WR.

  • Jaguars WR Dyami Brown scored a touchdown Sunday, and he has 26.4 points after two weeks. Not impressed? It happens to be more points than both established star Brian Thomas Jr. and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. Brown probably can’t keep his production going to this level, but Thomas and Hunter investors are probably panicking.

Tight end

Postseason Baseball Challenge

Create MLB postseason brackets for FREE! $50K in prizes. Make Your Picks

Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints (48.2%): A repeat name from last week, Johnson has scored more than 15 points each of the first two weeks, trailing only the aforementioned Kraft for overall tight end scoring. Johnson has outscored RB Alvin Kamara. That shouldn’t continue, but it doesn’t mean Johnson can’t sustain TE1 production for a while, either.

Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders (50.0%): The wily veteran has touchdown receptions each of the first two weeks, and that is enough to make him popular in fantasy leagues with a Week 3 game against the Las Vegas Raiders looming.

Deep-league options/streamers/random thoughts

Carolina Panthers starter Ja’Tavion Sanders (1.0%) was an intriguing, deep-league sleeper this season, but he didn’t do much in Week 1. He did more in Week 2, catching seven of nine targets and scoring 12.4 points. Keep him in mind if your starter gets hurt.

D/ST

Deep-league options/streamers/random thoughts

  • Green Bay Packers (44.8%): It is surprising that the Packers D/ST unit remains available in more than 50% of ESPN standard leagues. It just scored 17 points in dominant wins over the offensively explosive Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders. In Week 3, the Packers face the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are not explosive. The Packers should be among the top-10 rostered D/ST units by then.

  • Indianapolis Colts (36.6%): Similarly, fantasy managers did not react to the Week 1 results by adding the Colts D/ST in many leagues. This unit scored only 1 point against the Broncos on Sunday, but in Week 3 it faces the Titans. That should be easier.

  • Kansas City Chiefs (12.4%): The Chiefs held the Eagles to 20 points, albeit with nary a takeaway. There will likely be a turnover or three this Sunday night against the Giants.

Bitcoin Allocations Set To Explode Among US Institutions, Wall Street Veteran Says

by admin September 16, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Wall Street veteran Jordi Visser told reporters that US traditional finance firms are likely to raise their Bitcoin allocations before the end of the year.

He expects demand to pick up in Q4 as portfolio managers set positions ahead of 2025. Some managers will make small moves; others could shift larger slices of their holdings into BTC, Visser said.

Institutional Survey Signals Strong Bitcoin Interest

According to a joint Coinbase and EY-Parthenon survey, a large share of institutional investors plan to add crypto exposure in 2025.

The survey found 83% of respondents intend to increase allocations, and 59% expect to put more than 5% of assets under management into crypto or related products.

Those figures suggest that many firms are preparing for wider crypto use in portfolios.

Intentions Do Not Always Equal Action

Plans by money managers can change. Regulation, market swings, and macro shocks can slow or halt buys. Still, when lots of institutions say they will act, it raises the odds that real flows will follow. That said, timing and size of the moves remain uncertain.

ETF Flows Feeding Demand

Spot Bitcoin ETFs have pulled heavy inflows this year, giving institutions an easier on-ramp into the market.

Recent daily net inflows reached about $642 million on one trading day, and cumulative ETF net inflows since launch are roughly $57 billion, lifting total ETF assets to about $153 billion.

Source: Coinbase

Those flows can provide a steady source of demand for BTC if they continue.

How ETFs Change The Game

ETFs give big funds a familiar product to buy. That reduces some barriers to entry. If allocations rise in Q4 as Visser suggests, ETF channels are where much of that buying could show up first.

Bitcoin currently trading at $114,872. Chart: TradingView

Corporate Holdings Add Another Layer

Public and private firms are already holding Bitcoin on their books. Data trackers show public companies’ treasury BTC holdings are valued at roughly $112 billion across many firms.

Big buyers like the Michael Saylor-led Strategy continue to add to their piles, and corporate buys make headlines when they happen. Such corporate demand can add to overall market appetite for BTC.

The Period To Watch

Based on reports and the surveys, late Q4 will be the period to watch. If institutions move as planned, Bitcoin could see meaningful support.

But investors should expect bumps, as it’s the nature of crypto: policy shifts, rates, or a sudden liquidity squeeze could cut short flows.

In short, the signs point toward more allocation from TradFi, yet execution will depend on several moving parts.

XRP Back Among 100 Biggest Assets by Market Cap

by admin September 12, 2025

The Ripple-linked XRP cryptocurrency has re-entered the 100 assets by market capitalization.

The popular token is currently in 98th place (above American computer networking company Arista Networks and Indian banking and financial services company HDFC Bank).

XRP’s market capitalization currently stands at $180.5 billion following the cryptocurrency’s latest price spike. Earlier today, XRP peaked at an intraday high of $3.07.

XRP surpassing McDonald’s

Earlier this year, the Ripple-linked token managed to break into the top 80 by market capitalization.

The token briefly even briefly topped McDonald’s, which was seen as a rather symbolic milestone.

Back then, XRP also surged above PetroChina, China’s biggest oil and gas producer, AT&T, a major U.S. telecom and media company, Siemens, a German tech giant, Shell, one of the biggest oil and gas companies, Uber, the leading ride-hailing company, Verizon, one of the top telecom providers in the US, as well as Xiomi, one of the leading consumer electronics manufacturers in China.

On July 18, the token reached a new record peak of $3.66, but it has since declined by a whopping 16%.

Genshin Impact is teaming up with Among Us to celebrate its fifth anniversary

by admin September 10, 2025

Today is a big one in the world of Genshin Impact. The long-awaited Version Luna 1 update – formerly known as version 6.0 – has arrived, bringing with it the game’s seventh major region, Nod-Krai.

But that’s not the only thing worth getting out of bed for, because Genshin is also celebrating its fifth anniversary with a whole lot of community content, and an unexpected collaboration.

MiHoYo announced that it’s celebrating the release of Version Luna 1, and the game’s fifth anniversary, with a number of events, both in-game and outside of it. The biggest one, of course, is the special collaboration with Among Us.

Available from September 10 to October 10, this particular event lets you unlock Paimon Cosmetic Set for free in Among Us, simply by logging into the game. The set comes with the Paimon Wig, Paimon Costume and a Crest of the Best Travel Companion Nameplate – all of which are available to use in Among Us.

It’s a little strange that you don’t get anything in Genshin Impact as part of that collaboration, but there are plenty of freebies you’ll be earning on that side of the aisle simply by logging in. Some of the rewards include a free 5-Star character from the Standard Wish Pool, as well as enough ascension materials to get it to level 60. Starting now, you’ll also receive ten Intertwined Fates, 1,600 Primogems, two special Nod-Krai-themed gadgets (in the mail), and more.

The celebrations also extend to some community events, which include a new HoYoFair Genshin Impact Fan Art Special Program. This two-hour show will feature plenty of content from fans and MiHoYo, and it’s set to air on September 20.

In case you missed it, Version Luna 1 is a significant update for Genshin Impact, adding a lot more than the new playable area, new characters, new story chapter, and new mechanics. It also comes with changes to some of the game’s systems to make for a smoother levelling experience.

If you’re planning to jump in today, be sure to check out our guide that’ll help you learn all the ways to get to Nod-Krai, and don’t forget to browse the list of our most updated Genshin Impact codes.
