IOI’s James Bond game name officially announced ahead of full reveal this week

by admin June 2, 2025

IOI’s upcoming James Bond game has finally got itself an actual name, after years of it being known as Project 007.

IOI first announced its James Bond game back in 2021, and since then details on the project have been few and far between. However, that is set to change soon, with the developer today announcing the upcoming release will officially be called 007: First Light, with a full reveal promised for later this week.

This reveal will feature “never-before-seen footage”, the developer has teased, calling this the start of a “new era for James Bond in video games”.

Along with this announcement, the studio also shared a teaser image, showing a male character – call me Miss Marple, but I am going to say this is none other than James Bond himself – bathed in shadow. You can see the image in the header above.

Towards the end of last year, IOI said it hopes its upcoming James Bond origin story will be the start of a trilogy, adding the release will not be a “gamification of a movie”.

“It’s completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it’s a new Bond,” IOI boss Hakan Abrak said in October.

“It’s a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It’s extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is… to work on this together with the family [and create] a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with.”

Meanwhile back in April, IOI’s James Bond game was additionally confirmed for Switch 2, although no release date was teased along with this announcement.

Hopefully we will learn more later this week. While the developer hasn’t yet said when its 007: First Light reveal will be, I am going to make a guess it will crop up at Summer Game Fest’s opening night this Friday. Stay tuned!

NBA Finals 2025: What to know ahead of Pacers-Thunder championship matchup

by admin June 2, 2025

The Oklahoma City Thunder spent Christmas night in Indianapolis in a bittersweet mood.

They woke up on Christmas at home, with their families, and opened presents with their children before a late afternoon flight for a short road trip, which was positive. But they also were annoyed, whether they admitted it publicly or not, that 10 teams were playing five games on the NBA’s marquee day — and they were spectators.

They’d won a league-best 57 games the season before and had one of the top players in the league, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the previous season’s MVP runner-up whom the NBA perhaps should’ve been featuring on its highest-profile day. The Thunder also were 23-5 at that point and on an eight-game win streak — and not playing on Dec. 25 was looking kind of ridiculous.

Their hosts for a pedestrian non-national-television game on Dec. 26 were the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers had rolled their eyes four months earlier when the schedule read that they weren’t playing on Christmas Day, despite making the Eastern Conference finals the season prior. It was the 20th consecutive year the Pacers had been deemed not worthy of a Christmas game.

In retrospect, this was an ironic moment in the season: The two teams that eventually would meet in the NBA Finals were together on the headline day for the league; they were just living the lives of small-market underdogs.

From the play-in tournament to the NBA Finals, ESPN has you covered throughout the postseason.

• Conference finals: Preview | Picks
• Shelburne: Inside the Dorture Chamber
• Collier: What’s fueling Haliburton’s run
• Holmes: Are playoffs too physical?
• Pelton: Ranking every possible Finals matchup
• Herring: Playoff MVPs through two rounds

They ended up staging a terrific game that everyone would be thrilled to see repeated over the next two weeks.

The Pacers, still overcoming early-season injuries and malaise, were just a .500 team at the time, but they led the Dec. 26 contest for most of the way, and by as much as 16 points, even though star guard Tyrese Haliburton was held to just four points.

But the Thunder, relentless in their precision, turned the ball over only three times and cut off Indiana’s classic game plan of crushing the opponent’s mistakes. Gilgeous-Alexander tied his career high with 45 points, 16 of them coming in the fourth quarter, including a cold-blooded 3-pointer with just under a minute left with Bennedict Mathurin in his face. OKC prevailed 120-114.

It would’ve been a tremendous showcase game had it been afforded the spotlight. Instead, it’s just an interesting footnote to the factoid uncovered by Yahoo Sports that the Pacers and the Thunder are the first teams to make the NBA Finals without playing on Christmas since 2007.

The league had its reasons and justifications: The Christmas 2024 slate produced several awesome games and tremendous television ratings, and it was a triumph for the NBA. But that didn’t mean it wasn’t a mistake. These were always two of the best teams in the league this season, and they’ve proved it over the past six weeks during very similar dueling playoff runs.

Brilliant point guards, exceptional depth, harassing defenses, killer transition play, shrewd game plans, varying stars, harrowing finishes, demonstrations of resilience, overall dominance.

Call them small market, predict low ratings, mock the respective cities’ nightlife or the travel challenges or even the championship-hungry fans all you want.

Underestimating the Thunder and Pacers has been a losing ideology all season long.

Our NBA insiders are setting the stage for the NBA Finals — Game 1 will tip off Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET (ABC) — including breakdowns of how each team got here, the most important matchups and how each team can win it all.

Road to the Finals

Following one of the most dominant regular seasons in NBA history, the 68-win Thunder passed a stress test against a proven championship team in the second round of the playoffs. Otherwise, they made quick work of the Western Conference bracket.

After sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, Oklahoma City blew a double-digit lead in the series opener against three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets and faced a 2-1 deficit after three games. The Thunder viewed the adversity as an opportunity.

“I knew that they were going to bring greatness out of us,” Thunder reserve Alex Caruso, the lone player on the roster with a championship ring, said the day before Game 4 in Denver.

“Denver is a smart team, an experienced team. I know that this is the challenge that’s going to push us to be great.”

David Dennis Jr.: Pacers haven’t seen a defense like OKC’s in the playoffs

David Dennis Jr. explains why the Pacers will have a “jarring” realization in the NBA Finals when it comes to the Thunder’s defense.

Led by MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder closed out tight wins in the next two games, answering questions about their ability to execute in clutch situations after cruising to double-digit wins in 54 of their regular-season victories. Oklahoma City blew out the Nuggets in Game 7, with Gilgeous-Alexander recording 35 points in a 32-point win.

Oklahoma City needed only five games to finish off the Minnesota Timberwolves in the West finals, capping that series with a 30-point victory. It was the Thunder’s fourth win by a margin of 30 points or more during this playoff run — the most by any team in a single postseason, according to ESPN Research.

As brilliant as Gilgeous-Alexander is offensively, averaging 29.8 points and 6.9 assists per game this postseason, defense drives the Thunder’s dominance. Oklahoma City had the top-ranked defense during the regular season and tightened the screws even more during the postseason, lowering its defensive efficiency to 104.7 points allowed per 100 possessions. The Thunder have forced 18.0 turnovers and converted them into 23.8 points per game during the playoffs, both increases over their league-leading regular-season numbers (17.0, 21.8).

Five Oklahoma City players — Caruso, Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace and Luguentz Dort — have averaged more than a steal per game in the playoffs, while Chet Holmgren has averaged 2.0 blocks per game. The Thunder’s defense is a remarkable blend of relentless pressure, swarming help, elite playmaking and togetherness.

“Fifteen puppets on one string,” Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards said, describing Oklahoma City’s defensive chemistry. — Tim MacMahon

It might have been easy to overlook the Pacers at the start of the postseason, but after an exciting run as an underdog through the Eastern Conference field, they won’t be so easily dismissed anymore.

The Pacers won 50 games and entered the playoffs as a No. 4 seed, but a slow start to the season masked their true contender qualities. It wasn’t apparent when they dispatched new rival the Milwaukee Bucks in five games in the first round, but when they made a 64-win Cleveland Cavaliers team look ordinary the Pacers announced their ascent from young up-and-comer to conference elite.

“They’re up here, guys,” Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson said, raising his hand toward his head for emphasis, after his top-seeded team was eliminated from the conference semifinals.

“I know from the data, I know from watching film, they’re up here and they can sustain it. I give them so much credit for being able to sustain that type of intensity for so long.”

How did the Pacers dominate the Knicks in Game 6?

Quentin Richardson and David Dennis Jr. detail how the Pacers eliminated the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals.

It set up a matchup in the Eastern Conference finals with Indiana’s greatest rival, the New York Knicks, the same franchise the Pacers beat in their only other trip to the Finals in 2000. Indiana’s elite offense — led by Tyrese Haliburton, who has had a star-making playoff run, averaging 18.8 points 9.8 assists and 5.7 rebounds in the postseason to go along with a few huge clutch shots; Pascal Siakam, who was named conference finals MVP after putting up three 30-point games in the series; and coach Rick Carlisle, a champion with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011, who Haliburton has termed a “savant” — overwhelmed the Knicks in six games.

The Pacers have posted the second-best offensive efficiency in the playoffs at 117.7 points per 100 possessions. They have a deep bench and play fast for a full 48 minutes, which has allowed them to pull off three of the most improbable comebacks in playoff history during this run. They were down by seven in the last 40 seconds of Game 5 in the first round against the Bucks. They trailed again by seven in the final 50 seconds of Game 2 in the second round against the Cavaliers. And in Game 1 against the Knicks, they were down 14 with 2:51 remaining. Indiana came back to win each game.

“It’s how we orchestrated this team,” said Pacers center Myles Turner, the longest-tenured player on the team. “It’s not the flashiest, sexiest team. We just get results.” — Jamal Collier

Last time they met

The Thunder — who went 29-1 against the Eastern Conference, the best interconference record in NBA history — won both head-to-head meetings this season, but their victory at Indianapolis on Boxing Day required a fourth-quarter comeback. Down four with 3:42 to play after a 7-0 Pacers run, Oklahoma City ripped off eight consecutive points to take control, with Jalen Williams scoring half of them. Gilgeous-Alexander was still the standout with 45 points on 15-of-22 shooting, including four 3-pointers in five attempts, plus a perfect 11-for-11 night at the foul line.

There was little such drama when the Thunder hosted Indiana on March 29. Oklahoma City opened up a 22-point lead after three quarters. The Thunder knocked down 17 3-pointers, including six from Lu Dort and five off the bench from Isaiah Joe. — Kevin Pelton

How many times will this Oklahoma City core get to this stage?

The NBA is at the peak of parity, preparing to crown a new champion for the seventh straight season, but the Thunder have dynasty potential. This is the second-youngest team (average age: 25.6 years) to advance to the Finals, trailing only the Portland Trail Blazers’ 1976-77 championship team, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. A deep Thunder roster is built around a 26-year-old MVP in Gilgeous-Alexander, a 24-year-old All-NBA selection in Williams and a 23-year-old potential future Defensive Player of the Year in Holmgren. Plus, general manager Sam Presti has accumulated 13 first-round picks over the next seven drafts. Oklahoma City’s last Finals team — which featured MVPs Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden — is a case study in future success never being guaranteed in the NBA. But the Thunder enter the Finals as a heavy favorite, and it’s easy to envision them becoming June regulars. — MacMahon

Can Indiana win a strength vs. strength battle?

The Thunder’s defense will easily be the toughest challenge for the Pacers to solve — a healthy, swarming juggernaut unit with youth and speed that can match and, perhaps, thrive in Indiana’s up-tempo style. The Pacers have benefited from seemingly catching each of their playoff opponents by surprise with their speed, putting the other team on its heels and forcing it into uncharacteristic styles and mistakes. Indiana will enter the series with more experience, and Carlisle will continue to try to find a way to dictate the terms of the series as his team has in each of the previous three rounds. But the gap between the top of the West and the East has seemed wide for most of the season, which is why Oklahoma City enters the series as heavy favorites. The Pacers have thrived in their underdog role all postseason. Can they find a way to pull off one more massive upset? — Collier

Matchup to watch for the series

Tyrese Haliburton vs. Luguentz Dort

Tyrese Haliburton is averaging 18.8 points per game this postseason for the Pacers. Luguentz Dort was named to the NBA All-Defensive first team this season for the Thunder. (AP Photo/Michael Conroy)

The All-NBA guard against the first-team All-Defense stopper. Haliburton is the engine who makes the Pacers go, but he hasn’t worked that way against Dort. Over the past two seasons, Haliburton averaged just 12 points per game against the Thunder, his fewest against any opponent, and he attempted shots at a lower rate when guarded by Dort than any other defender, according to GeniusIQ tracking.

If the Thunder can slow Haliburton like they have in the regular season, and thereby gum up the works of Indiana’s offense, this series won’t last very long. If Haliburton can solve Dort’s physical defense and keep the Pacers humming, however, Indiana has a chance to shock the world and upset the title favorites. — Zach Kram

How the Thunder can win it all

By doing what they’ve been doing throughout the regular season and playoffs. A Finals win would complete a historic season for Oklahoma City, which posted the best point differential ever in the regular season (plus-12.9 PPG) and has the best for any team heading into the Finals (plus-10.8) since both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors in 2017.

More specifically, the Thunder will win this series as long as they continue controlling the turnover differential, which has proved to be a key stat throughout the playoffs. Oklahoma City is simultaneously forcing far more turnovers than any other team (18.0 per game) while averaging fewer on offense than any team that advanced past the first round (11.6). That advantage of 6.4 per game would be the highest for a team that played multiple series since the league began tracking team turnovers in 1973-74. — Pelton

Trevor Ruszkowski-Imagn Images

How the Pacers can win it all

Indiana’s path to the Larry O’Brien Trophy involves three steps.

First, the Pacers can’t lose the turnover battle by as drastic a margin as every other Thunder opponent. There are encouraging signs here: Haliburton ranks as one of the lowest-turnover guards in the league, and Indiana ranked third in both the regular season and postseason in lowest turnover rate. Taking care of the ball will limit Oklahoma City’s demoralizing, game-breaking transition sequences.

Second, the Pacers need to win the 3-point battle by a wide margin. Again, there’s reason for hope here, as Indiana leads all playoff teams with a 40.1% 3-point mark, while Oklahoma City’s shooters have collectively struggled (33.6% this postseason).

And finally, the Pacers have to win close games. The Thunder are sufficiently dominant that they should expect a blowout win or two in the Finals; they’ve won at least one game by 30-plus points in every series so far. But if Indiana can win the non-blowouts, an upset is possible. The Pacers are 7-1 in clutch games in the playoffs. — Kram

OpenSea Relaunches Trading Platform With Rewards Ahead of SEA Token Debut

by admin June 1, 2025

In brief

  • OpenSea’s OS2 trading platform is now fully live, enabling NFT and fungible token trading across 19 blockchains.
  • The platform’s new XP-based rewards program, Voyages, encourages on-chain activity ahead of the future SEA token launch.
  • The launch follows regulatory relief, with the SEC recently closing its probe into OpenSea.

OpenSea has ended the beta phase of its reengineered marketplace, dubbed OS2, bringing full token trading across 19 blockchains, a new on-chain rewards system called “Voyages,” and structural changes that hint at its upcoming token launch.

“OS2 is the foundation for the next generation of OpenSea,” CEO Devin Finzer told Decrypt. “We’ve rebuilt the platform from the ground up to become the best destination for everything on-chain, from NFTs to tokens, across chains and communities.”

The rollout replaces OpenSea’s original NFT marketplace experience, which had seen declining use amid broader NFT market stagnation and growing competition from prominent rivals like Blur and Magic Eden.

OpenSea has evolved.

Beta complete. Full token universe unlocked.

New rewards program live. Welcome to the new OpenSea — the best place to discover, own, and trade anything onchain. pic.twitter.com/ccycD0bgCA

— OpenSea (@opensea) May 29, 2025

OS2 combines cross-chain NFT and fungible token trading with real-time analytics, wallet tools, and liquidity aggregation from decentralized exchanges, per a statement shared with Decrypt. The 19 chains include prominent layer-1 networks like Ethereum, Avalanche, and Flow, along with an array of scaling networks like Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Soneium.

A major component of the launch is Voyages, a gamified system that rewards users with XP for completing actions like minting NFTs, swapping tokens, and holding assets.

While XP is already live, users widely expect it to play a role in the launch of the forthcoming SEA token, which will be issued by the OpenSea Foundation.

In an accompanying blog post, OpenSea CMO Adam Hollander noted that the Foundation “won’t release SEA until core utility is in place,” calling it “the TGE”— short for token generation event.

Early beta testers have already received digital artifacts known as “Treasures” to anchor their eligibility for future rewards. The team has also confirmed that historical platform activity and ongoing XP accumulation will influence eventual token allocations.

OS2 first launched in beta in February after a year-long rebuild that included team downsizing and a reimagining of OpenSea’s core model.

Initial XP rewards triggered backlash after incentivizing mass NFT listings, prompting the team to restrict rewards to more deliberate actions such as buying and holding.

The platform’s community infrastructure has also been overhauled. A streamlined Discord server now offers role-based channels for DeFi, gaming, digital art, and other on-chain interests.

The update arrives just months after OpenSea said the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission had closed its investigation into whether the platform violated federal securities laws. The SEC has ultimately ended nearly all of its lawsuits and investigations against crypto companies following the return of President Donald Trump to the White House.

“Classifying OpenSea and similar NFT marketplaces as securities exchanges or brokers would be regulatory overreach,” the company wrote in a letter to SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, in the wake of the regulator’s decision to end its probe.

Is Ethereum Preparing For A Move To $3,800? Analysts Predict Bullish Phase Ahead

by admin May 31, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Trading in the mid-$2,000 range, Ethereum (ETH) has repeatedly teased a move toward $3,000, only to fall short and retreat back into its current range. However, several crypto analysts remain confident that ETH’s ascent to $3,000 and beyond is only a matter of time.

Ethereum Showing Signs Of Renewed Strength

In a recent X post, crypto analyst Titan of Crypto highlighted ETH’s bullish price action. The analyst shared the following daily ETH chart, showing the cryptocurrency breaking out of a bullish flag following a period of consolidation – potentially setting its sights on a target of $3,800.

Source: Titan of Crypto on X

Fellow crypto analyst Master of Crypto shared Titan’s outlook, saying that ETH is “holding up really well right now.” In a separate X post, the analyst added:

It looks like a breakout is coming, and $3K is just around the corner. The fact that it’s outperforming #BTC this quarter is a strong sign that altcoin season is warming up.

Meanwhile, crypto trader Jelle urged patience. Sharing the following chart of ETH’s recent price movement, he emphasized that ETH is behaving as expected as it continues to challenge a key resistance level. According to Jelle, the “real fun” will begin once ETH hits $3,000.

Source: Jelle on X

Notably, ETH continues to attract strong institutional interest. Exchange-traded fund (ETF) inflows for Ethereum topped $91 million yesterday, with BlackRock alone accounting for $50.4 million of that total – a clear sign of sustained confidence in the digital asset.

Seasoned analyst Ali Martinez also highlighted significant whale accumulation. According to Martinez, wallets holding between 100,000 and 1,000,000 ETH acquired over 1 million ETH in the last 48 hours – a strong signal of long-term bullish sentiment.

Source: ali_charts on X

Large ETH ETF inflows and whale purchases signal rising institutional confidence and aggressive accumulation – trends that often precede bullish price action. By reducing the available supply on the market, these moves can help fuel upward momentum and price appreciation.

Technical Patterns Signal Bullish Continuation

From a technical standpoint, Ethereum is showing encouraging signs. Crypto trader Merlijn The Trader pointed out that ETH appears to be closely following the Wyckoff Accumulation pattern.

In this pattern, the spring phase involves a false breakdown below support to shake out weak hands, followed by a test to confirm waning selling pressure. This sets the stage for the jump – a strong rally above resistance with significant volume, marking the start of a new uptrend.

According to Merlijn, ETH has already completed the spring and test phases and is now poised to enter the jump phase – potentially setting the stage for a move toward a new all-time high (ATH).

Source: Merlijn The Trader on X

That said, all eyes are on the FTX creditor payouts expected later today. Experts warn that the massive $5 billion distribution could temporarily dampen ETH’s bullish momentum by increasing short-term selling pressure. At press time, ETH trades at $2,603, down 2.4% in the past 24 hours.

Wonderlands Is Free Right Now On PC Ahead Of Borderlands 4

by admin May 31, 2025

Image: Gearbox / PlayDead / Kotaku

The Epic Game Store is currently giving away two PC games that are both very good, but also extremely different. First up, you can grab a free copy of the beloved indie platformer Limbo. And then, you can snag Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a strange but fun Borderlands spin-off, for the low price of zero dollars.

What Is Dragonsplague? Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Devastating Contagion Explained

The Mega Sale event is happening right now on Epic’s PC storefront, offering big discounts on a ton of games, including The Last of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, and Grand Theft Auto V’s fancy enhanced port. And that’s nice and all. But maybe you’re getting ready to buy a Nintendo Switch 2, and some games to go along with it. Or you’re trying to save money for some other reason. Thankfully, during each week of the sale, Epic is giving out free PC games. And this week’s games are the aforementioned Wonderlands and Limbo.

Just a heads-up that these games will only be free until June 5. Meanwhile, the Epic Games Mega Sale event ends on June 12, so we’ll get two more freebies before the party wraps up.

Released in 2010, Limbo is a fantastic, bite-sized, black-and-white 2D platformer that made a big splash over a decade ago on Xbox Live Arcade. Since then, this creepy and minimalistic game has been ported to everything and is worth checking out, especially if you loved 2016’s Inside, which was developed by the same folks.

Meanwhile, 2022’s Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is probably the exact polar opposite of Limbo. Wonderlands is a fantasy-themed Borderlands spin-off featuring melee weapons, magic, and a big overworld map. It’s a strange game, but one which I’ve played through twice and enjoyed thoroughly. If you like Borderlands and haven’t played this looter shooter spin-off yet, now is a great time to hop in. And if you’re excited about Borderlands 4, launching in September, Wonderlands will keep you busy until then.

Ubisoft teasing a big Splinter Cell announcement ahead of SGF 2025

by admin May 30, 2025

The company uploaded a cryptic post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday with an image of what appears to be Sam Fisher, the beloved main character from the stealth action-adventure franchise. Using eye and mouth emojis, the social account typed “#SplinterCell” with no further context.

Naturally, the mysterious post sent Splinter Cell fans into a tizzy; X users began commenting on it with excitement and hesitation, pleading with Ubisoft not to disappoint and/or tease them. Polygon has contacted Ubisoft for comment and will update this story with any further information we receive.

While Ubisoft has been relatively quiet about its Splinter Cell plans, a recent job listing for the franchise was posted to the company’s career board.

According to the job listing, Ubisoft is hiring a level design director who will “cultivate a vision for the game’s unique stealth-centric missions, breaking down the high-level direction of the game into compelling, tense and well-realized gameplay experiences.”

The job listing details other responsibilities for the level design director, such as “[crafting] and demonstrating examples of interesting and fun gameplay setups that feel uniquely Splinter Cell.”

Ubisoft last teased its Splinter Cell Remake project in December 2021, uploading a video about the perpetually upcoming game on YouTube. The video’s narrator detailed the history of the stealth franchise and explained that some of the devs responsible for the original game, now a part of Ubisoft Toronto, are returning to create a remake of the 2002 title.

“Using the first Splinter Cell game as our foundation, we are rewriting and updating the story for a modern-day audience,” the now-deleted post read at the time. “We want to keep the spirit and themes of the original game while exploring our characters and the world to make them more authentic and believable.

Fans may be treated to more details regarding Ubisoft’s plans for Sam Fisher at Summer Game Fest, which kicks off Friday, June 6 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. GMT.

Until then, keep the hope alive, Splinter Cell fans.

Bitcoin Entering Price Discovery? Golden Ratio Multiplier Suggests $130,000 Ahead

Bitcoin (BTC) appears to be gearing up for another price discovery phase. The leading digital asset by market capitalization has gained an impressive 17.4% over the past month, setting a new all-time high (ATH) of $111,980 on May 22.

Bitcoin Ready To Enter Price Discovery Mode?

According to a recent X post by crypto analyst Titan of Crypto, BTC may soon enter price discovery mode once again. The analyst shared the following daily chart indicating that Bitcoin is targeting the blue line of the Golden Ratio Multiplier, with a potential price target of $130,000.

For the uninitiated, the Golden Ratio Multiplier is a Bitcoin price model that applies Fibonacci multiples – such as 1.6, 2, 3, 5 – to the 350-day moving average to identify potential resistance and support levels during market cycles. The indicator helps visualize when Bitcoin is overbought or undervalued relative to its long-term trend.

On a broader time frame, BTC also seems to be following a Fibonacci Extension pattern, with the next major resistance projected at $135,000. Interestingly, Bitcoin followed a similar pattern in November 2025, which was followed by the creation of multiple new ATHs.

In a separate X post, fellow crypto analyst Jelle noted an interesting observation. Despite BTC trading near its ATH, funding rates on major crypto exchanges – such as Binance, OKX, and Bybit – remain in negative territory.

Negative funding rates imply that a majority of traders are betting against BTC, expecting a short-term pullback. However, if the price continues its bullish trajectory, it could trigger a wave of short liquidations, potentially propelling Bitcoin to even higher levels.

Analyst Ted Pillows has also weighed in, predicting that BTC may reach $130,000 as early as July 2025. His projection aligns with the ongoing bullish sentiment supported by technical indicators and institutional interest.

Some Signs Of Caution

While the bullish momentum continues, some analysts urge caution. Veteran Bitcoin enthusiast Willy Woo recently noted that the ‘Structure Shift’ signal is beginning to show early signs of a bearish pivot. Woo pointed out that capital inflows into the Bitcoin network have remained ‘very flat’ over the past three days.

Woo warned that if BTC fails to establish new highs soon, it could lead to bearish divergences forming on long-term charts. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the broader outlook remains optimistic, with a possible upside target of $114,000 if Bitcoin maintains its upward momentum.

Adding to the positive outlook, Pillows also forecasted that BTC could hit $120,000 in the coming months, suggesting the asset is in the final phase of the Wyckoff Accumulation pattern. At press time, BTC trades at $109,491, up 0.1% in the past 24 hours.

KindlyMD buys 21 Bitcoin ahead of Nakamoto merger

by admin May 28, 2025

KindlyMD, an integrated healthcare services provider, has announced the purchase of 21 Bitcoin ahead of its merger with Nakamoto Holdings, a company focused on the acquisition and holding of Bitcoin.

KindlyMD’s move to buy 21 Bitcoin (BTC) comes a few weeks after David Bailey, the chief executive officer of BTC Inc., and crypto advisor of U.S. president Donald Trump, announced the launch of Nakamoto Holdings.

The Bitcoin-native company, whose name pays homage to Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto, recently revealed an upcoming merger with KindlyMD.

KindlyMD is a Nasdaq-listed integrated healthcare and healthcare data company looking to become the next Strategy. With its initial BTC purchase, KindlyMD says its on the path to making this quest a reality.

The purchase of 21 BTC was completed at an average price of $109,027 per coin, representing a $2.3 million investment. Funds came from gross proceeds of $8.7 million raised through recent warrant exercises.

“KindlyMD chose 21 BTC, which is one millionth of the total supply of bitcoin, as a symbolic first step on our journey to be the leading Bitcoin treasury strategy,” Bailey said. “There are many more milestones ahead and we can’t wait to continue to execute our roadmap with KindlyMD.”

Nakamoto Holdings’ launch followed Bailey’s $300 million raise in equity and convertible debt earlier this year.

On May 21, KindlyMD shareholders approved the strategic merger and partnership with Nakamoto Holdings. The deal also includes Anchorage Digital—an institutional-grade crypto custody platform—signaling a joint commitment to accelerating corporate Bitcoin adoption.

Commenting on the purchase, KindlyMD CEO Tim Pickett said:

“This strategic purchase was possible after significant warrant redemption, which we believe reflects our investor’s support of the merger and in our confidence of Bitcoin as a store of value. We look forward to working diligently towards the closing of our merger with Nakamoto to further accelerate our Bitcoin treasury strategy.”

KindlyMD and Nakamoto Holdings’ merger will close later in the year.
