Pokimane, Valkyrae & QTCinderella “afraid” to attend TwitchCon due to safety concerns

by admin September 23, 2025

Twitch stars Pokimane, Valkyrae, and QTCinderella have revealed that they have safety concerns when it comes to attending TwitchCon in October.

TwitchCon is Twitch’s annual celebration of streamers. Top content creators get together, along with fans and Twitch staff to celebrate the past year, and look ahead to what’s coming next.

The meet and greets between fans and streamers have regularly been moderated by Twitch itself. However, with many creators streaming their days at TwitchCon, there are plenty of chances to bump into them along the way too.

This has created a number of safety concerns for streamers, with a few like Pokimane having reservations about attending the 2025 event in San Diego. “It does worry me that it might not be safe and it be better to skip out on it,” she told viewers.

Poki admitted that she hadn’t made a decision about going, but noted it could be “scary” to be around potentially “hateful” people.

The OfflineTV star had been responding to QTCinderella and Valkyrae who, during an episode of Wine About It, admitted they had concerns too.

“I’m kind of afraid to go to TwitchCon,” Rae said as QT noted they are supposed to host a live episode of their podcast. “I have given them a soft ‘hey, we’re in a bit of a panic mode right now’” QT said.

QT also noted that she considered dropping all her in-person obligations after a female Japanese streamer was attacked during a broadcast. “It just takes one person,” Valkyrae added.

After that episode went live, Rae announced that the pair would not be attending or recording their planned live show.

“I’m just really uncomfortable with the world right now,” the 100 Thieves co-owner said. “I don’t feel safe, I’m just uncomfortable, you know? It’s crazy times.”

The Wine About It hosts did promise to make it up to fans, however, likely through a Wine About It live stream.

The event, which has always been well secured, is set to take place on October 17-19. It remains to be seen if top streaming stars will drop out.

If You’re Afraid of Getting Hacked, This Avast Tool Does More Than Stop Viruses

by admin September 20, 2025

Avast is one of the true giants in cybersecurity today, trusted by over 435 million users worldwide. As a core part of Gen Digital (which also owns Norton, AVG and Ccleaner), the company has long been synonymous with free antivirus software. However, in the face of increasingly aggressive and sophisticated cyber threats, Avast has evolved: The days of relying on freeware antivirus are numbered; Avast is now leading the way with robust pay-for security solutions that are designed to guard all devices and every corner of a user’s online life.

The cybersecurity landscape in 2025 is overwhelming. Microsoft and Identity Theft Resource Center data show that more than 600 million cyberattacks took place globally per day throughout last year. Nearly two billion people had data exposed in breaches. The bad guys aren’t even just going after big business: the primary targets are regular folk, with cyber thieves going far beyond mere viruses to steal identities, bank account data, and more using sophisticated malware and fraud.

Protect Your Identity

With insight into the reality of rising threats, Avast has grown beyond mere status as the free antivirus pioneer to an all-out defender of PCs, Macs, Androids, and iOS devices through advanced protection that keeps up with the cybercrime tools of the modern age. Paid subscriptions include a smarter and more comprehensive solution, way beyond yesteryear malware scanning.

A premium choice is Avast Premium Security. At a massive 60% discount dropping the first year down to a mere $31 (previous price being $78), it’s an affordable option that secures one device with premium features. Members are provided with virus, ransomware and phishing protection. It scans Wi-Fi networks to detect vulnerabilities and ensures your digital life remains unscratched by bandits looking to exploit your system. Regardless if you’re a PC, Mac, Android, or Apple user, this offer gives you the essential and robust security.

Add more, and Avast Ultimate has it all from Premium Security with extras such as the Avast SecureLine VPN, which encrypts your internet connection to shield your surfing and keep it private. For $43 after a discount of 60% compared to $109, you get Cleanup Premium as well which maintains your devices in smoother operation by clearing out garbage and streamlining their performance. AntiTrack technology silently in the background prevents trackers and conceals your online identity from snoopers’ view, an essential privacy feature in today’s data-driven world.

In a world where hacks and scams get increasingly formidable by the minute and the consequences of compromised data pile up, Avast’s premium security subscriptions are basic insurance. They give you so much more than traditional antivirus solutions: they safeguard your entire digital existence and provide you with the comfort of mind not just for yourself but for your family and devices as well.

Fans Are Afraid Of Conjuring 4’s Spooky Anabelle Popcorn Bucket

by admin August 18, 2025

We are still firmly in the “Gimmick Popcorn Bucket Era” of movie theaters, and it shows no signs of stopping. Usually, these gimmicky popcorn buckets are items that fans want to buy and collect. But it seems like not many people want the creepy bucket for The Conjuring: Last Rites, featuring iconic haunted doll Annabelle. I wonder why.

On August 18, Regal Cinema shared a photo of its popcorn bucket for the upcoming horror film, The Conjuring: Last Rites, the ninth (?!) film in the wildly popular Conjuring series. The movie is being marketed as a sort of ending for this era of the spooky franchise, though it sounds like more Conjuring universe movies will happen in the future. Anyway, as seen in Last Rites’ new trailer, the franchise’s famous haunted doll, Annabelle, is returning for the Conjuring’s finale. And to celebrate, Regal’s new popcorn bucket features the doll herself, connected to a faux-wooden bucket with the movie’s logo slapped on it. The bucket will be available to order on Wednesday, over two weeks before the movie’s release.

In the Conjuring universe, where she has three of her own spin-off movies as well as appearances in the main series, Annabelle is portrayed as scary, dangerous, evil, and just generally not a good doll you want to take home. I wasn’t surprised, then, that a lot of fans online don’t want this cursed piece of plastic in their homes.

“Oh hell no lol,” said one user. “Um, that’s one bucket I don’t want,” said another person. Someone else replied: “Y’all can keep that one.”

“Am I supposed to take this home?” asked someone in a reply to DiscussingFilm‘s tweet about the doll bucket. A diffferent user replied to the same tweet with: “Nah nah nah nah you’re not gonna get me Annabelle, nice try.”

Meanwhile, on Monday, Cinemark shared a first look at its own Conjuring 4 popcorn bucket and uh, well, reactions were different. That’s mainly because Cinemark’s gimmick bucket featuring Annabelle makes you eat the popcorn out of her ass. Would Tom Cruise eat popcorn out of Annabelle’s ass? Probably, the dude loves popcorn. But others aren’t as interested. This bucket will be available on Friday, August 22.

The Conjuring: Last Rites, alongside all the fake Annabelle popcorn buckets you desire (or fear), arrives in theaters on September 5.
