Borderlands 4 patch adds FOV sliders, somehow both improves and worsens stability at the same time

by admin September 26, 2025

A new Borderlands 4 patch has been released packing a number of important improvements, including a much-requested FOV slider on the console version, various bug fixes and stability improvements. However, it has also bizarrely reduced game stability for some PC players too.

To these newfound performance problems, the official Borderlands X account has suggested stuttering issues should resolve over time as shaders compile in the background. However, if problems persist after 15-minutes of play, it then recommends clearing your shader cache.

There’s a lot of fixes here, some of which are wild. According to the patch notes, continued improvements to stability will be made over time, plus fixes have been made to infinite loading screens, certain achievements unlocking before they should, unowned DLC items appearing in chests or menus, and more.

Watch the Borderlands 4 launch trailer here.Watch on YouTube

It’s not all fixes though. This update comes with weekly activity changes too. The Weekly Big Encore Boss has switched, as has the Weekly Wildcard missions and Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine location. So if you’re still locked into Borderlands 4 there should be some new surprises for you starting today.

The update comes following a saga of performance related drama surrounding Borderlands 4. The game launched with significant performance problems and had quite lofty minimum recommended PC specs. Gearbox CEO stood by the game and stated it was “pretty damn optimal”, later advising unhappy players to refund Borderlands 4if they were unhappy with the game.

Earlier this week the Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 was indefinitely delayed too, so it’s been a rough start for the sci-fi shooter. Still, the game is proving popular among its playerbase and has a lot to offer those able to push past technical hurdles. The Eurogamer review notes: “There was rarely a moment playing Borderlands 4 where I didn’t enjoy some part of it. But there was rarely a moment where elements of it didn’t frustrate me, either.”

Facebook adds an AI assistant to its dating app

by admin September 23, 2025

Facebook Dating has added two new AI tools, because clearly a large language model is what the search for love and companionship has been missing all this time. The social media platform introduced a chatbot called dating assistant that can help find prospective dates based on a user’s interests. In the blog post announcing the features, the example Meta provided was “Find me a Brooklyn girl in tech.” The chatbot can also “provide dating ideas or help you level up your profile.” Dating assistant will start a gradual rollout to the Matches tab for users in the US and Canada. And surely everyone will use it in a mature, responsible, not-at-all-creepy fashion.

The other AI addition is Meet Cute, which uses a “personalized matching algorithm” to deliver a surprise candidate that it determines you might like. There’s no explanation in the blog post about how Meta’s algorithm will be assessing potential dates. If you don’t want to see who Meta’s AI thinks would be a compatible match each week, you can opt out of Meet Cute at any time. Both these features are aimed at combatting “swipe fatigue,” so if you’re 1) using Facebook, 2) using Facebook Dating, and 3) are really that tired of swiping, maybe this is the solution you need.

Shiba Inu: Shibarium Adds 10,000 Transactions in Day, but Growth Still Flat

by admin September 21, 2025

Shiba Inu Layer 2 Shibarium has added 10,000 transactions more within the last 24 hours, but transaction growth still remains flatlined.

According to Shibariumscan data, daily transactions for Sept. 19 came in at 17,410, which remains much lower than the over 4 million experienced in late August but higher than Sept. 18’s figure of 7,110.

Taken from the Sept. 18 figure of 7,110, the daily transaction figure of 17,410 achieved in the past day marks an increase of 10,300.

On Aug. 21, Shibarium saw daily transactions of 4.69 million, after which it suffered a plunge to as low as 84,090 on Aug. 28. Since this date, Shibarium’s daily transactions have remained in thousands, however rising briefly to 1.26 million on Sept. 6 before declining again.

Transaction growth stalls in September

According to the daily transactions graph provided on Shibarium, it can be seen that transaction growth flatlined for most of September, except for a brief rise to 1.26 million on Sept. 6 and then 490,230 on Sept. 7, as well as 150,810 on Sept. 3. For other days, the transaction count remained less than 20,000.

September is deemed a weak month for cryptocurrencies and the general markets; however, it remains uncertain if the drop in Shibarium transactions might have been due to the bearish September seasonality sentiment. The recent Shibarium bridge exploit, following which stake/unstake functionality was paused on the platform, might have also contributed to this sentiment.

This stall in transaction growth has impacted total transaction count, which is currently at 1,568,294,633, as it hasn’t seen an exponential increase since September’s start.

According to Shibariumscan data, Shibarium’s total blocks have surpassed 13 million, with the most recent count at 13,163,462. Total addresses now stand at 272,485,122.

SUI forecasted $2.50-$4, SEI nears $0.75 as Zexpire adds daily play

by admin September 20, 2025

Disclosure: This article does not represent investment advice. The content and materials featured on this page are for educational purposes only.

Analysts see SUI at $4, SEI near $0.75 as Zexpire launches fixed-risk play amid rising structured strategy demand.

Summary

  • Zexpire brings one-click, 0DTE options trading to DeFi, turning volatility into a simple daily market play.
  • Priced at $0.003 in seed access, ZX rewards early buyers with staking, cashback perks, and beta platform access.
  • With fee burns, buybacks, and gamified simplicity, Zexpire aims to be the HYPE of prediction-driven crypto markets.

Forecasts for SUI, SEI and Zexpire are sharpening as year-end draws closer. Independent analysts put SUI’s potential range at $2.50 to $4, citing rising network activity and stronger exchange support. SEI is building steady traction toward $0.75 on the back of climbing liquidity and a string of recent listings that have lifted daily turnover.

Zexpire is entering the spotlight with the rollout of a daily fixed-risk play, a feature designed to lock exposure at predetermined levels while keeping upside open. The addition arrives just as interest in structured strategies broadens, giving speculators a fresh vehicle and placing the platform alongside established venues that already offer limited-risk trades.

Sui vs SEI: The race to stardom?

Sui (SUI) experienced significant growth, surging from under $1 to over $2 in late 2023 and early 2024, reaching a peak of $2.18 on March 27. After a summer slowdown, the token recovered to $2.36 by October 14. Christian Williams of the Sui Foundation lauded the platform’s contributions to the sector, highlighting strong community engagement and DeFi initiatives.

Source: TradingView

SUI’s strong half-year trend and positive Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator indicate a gradual upward trajectory for SUI. However, momentum may slow near the first resistance level before a renewed push.

Sei burst onto the scene in August 2023 with a promise of fast, cheap trades and widened its reach in November by teaming up with Circle’s USDC stablecoin. By Jan 23 2025 it sat near $0.3385, lagging while the wider market rose. Against this backdrop recent market signals shed light on the next move.

Source: TradingView

SEI’s positive MACD backs the bulls for now, making a push to the first resistance more likely than a drop below the main support in the near term.

Zexpire pioneers a gamified

In the crypto market, early adoption in emerging categories often leads to significant gains. A recent illustration of this is HYPE, Hyperliquid’s token, which delivered substantial returns to early investors by capitalizing on the rise of derivatives trading.

Zexpire seeks to replicate this success in an even newer area. It is the first 0DTE DeFi protocol, simplifying options trading into a straightforward, one-click daily transaction.

When volatility becomes a benefit

Zexpire (ZEX) simplifies volatility trading, making it accessible to everyone. Unlike complex options trading with intimidating charts and “Greeks,” Zexpire focuses on a single question: will BTC stay in range today, or break out? Users simply click their choice and watch the market unfold. The risk is capped, meaning players will never lose more than their initial stake.

This approach enters a market where crypto options already see around $3 billion in daily volume, and prediction markets like Polymarket have surpassed $10 billion in cumulative bets. Zexpire combines these elements, wrapping volatility trading into an easy-to-understand format.

Unfolding the potential of ZX

Similar to how HYPE fuels Hyperliquid, ZX is the native token that powers every play on Zexpire.

Currently available in seed access for just $0.003, ZX’s price will incrementally rise to $0.025 upon listing. This structure ensures that early participants secure the lowest entry point, while subsequent buyers will pay more.

Beyond the price advantage, early buyers also receive additional benefits such as staking yield before the Token Generation Event (TGE), cashback perks, and beta access, all designed to reward the initial wave of holders.

Seize the first-mover advantage with ZX before it surges

Every market cycle presents unique tokens that spearhead a new trend before widespread adoption. A prime example is HYPE, which capitalized on the derivatives market on Hyperliquid, transforming early engagement into a dominant narrative of its cycle.

Now, ZX is poised to replicate this success in the category of gamified options trading. This unique approach seamlessly merges the rapid expansion of prediction markets with the intuitive simplicity of one-click plays.

Early investors can secure the most favorable entry price, while long-term holders will benefit from a robust ecosystem designed to enhance value. This includes fee burns, strategic buybacks, staking rewards, and exclusive platform perks, all of which work to reduce supply and incentivize active participation.

Conclusion

Analysts say SUI could finish the year between $2.50 and $4 as activity on its chain grows. SEI is on course for $0.75, supported by rising volume and fresh listings.

Both outlooks appear strong, yet Zexpire is the first DeFi platform that turns crypto’s biggest challenge, volatility, into profit. Users make one click to decide if Bitcoin stays in range or breaks out today; losses stay capped, with no liquidations or margin calls. Every play uses the ZX token, and early holders enjoy fee cuts, steady buybacks, and built-in demand. ZX represents a promising opportunity too.

The Sims 4's latest update adds playground venues to the base game ahead of October's kid-friendly expansion pack

The Sims 4’s latest update adds playground venues to the base game ahead of October’s kid-friendly expansion pack

by admin September 19, 2025

We’re very much on the road to the next The Sims 4 expansion, Adventure Awaits, and Maxis has rolled out a cool new update to hold you over until the big day next month. The new patch is available now on PC, and will arrive on consoles on September 23.

The update has a couple of features worth discussing, and you can see how they lay some groundwork in anticipation of the game’s next, very much on-theme expansion.

The big new feature in the new update is the Playground Venue, which is a place where sims kids can hang out and play. Because it’s mainly designed for children, it’s a good place to find new friends for your own.

You can create custom playground venues, and share them with other players. Separately, you’ll find an updated UI for Event Planning. You’re now able to filter out the specific venue type you want (libraries only, nightclubs only, and so on), thanks to the new filters.

Another big addition for child Sims is the ability for the little ones to Play Pretend with themselves, or with another child Sim. This new interaction can be found under Friendly > Activities Pie Menu. There are a couple of common – and expected – options to play with, such as Play Fairy Tale Castle, Play House, and Play Pirate Adventure. This being The Sims, of course, all of them have unique VFX.

Elsewhere in the update, there’s a new colour variant of the Ecru Slouch Beanie in Create a Sim. Maxis has also tweaked the Soul’s Journey gains and added Satisfaction Point rewards for each tier you complete.

The update’s console release next week will coincide with the launch of a new beta feature that you can opt into if you like. It’s called Memory Boost, and it essentially attempts to improve the game’s performance by optimising memory usage. You’ll find it under the Other tab in Game Options.

Adventure Awaits itself won’t arrive until October 2, but a big reason why this update is out now and not a little closer to that date is that it allows mod creators to update their work so it’s ready for when the expansion drops.

Speaking of which, EA have also created a series of brochures for Gibbi Point, the new world which arrives with Adventure Awaits. It’s a clever idea that lets you see some of the possible getaways you’ll be able to create, and encourages you to check back daily for more inspiration.

Coinbase Adds USDC Lending With Morpho and Steakhouse Financial

by admin September 19, 2025

U.S.-listed cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (COIN) has rolled out a USDC lending product that allows its customers to earn yield directly from the exchange’s app, deepening its integration with decentralized finance (DeFi).

The feature is powered by Morpho, a protocol that routes deposits through curated “vaults” managed by Steakhouse Financial, according to a blogpost on Thursday

When users deposit USDC, their funds are lent out to borrowers — including those already tapping Coinbase’s crypto-backed loans secured by bitcoin. The interest borrowers pay generates returns for depositors, who can withdraw anytime without lockups.

Coinbase said the setup creates a flywheel effect where its lending and borrowing products reinforce each other. The launch follows more than $900 million in loans originated through Coinbase’s crypto-backed loan service. Together, the two offerings form what the company calls its first complete onchain lending and borrowing ecosystem.

By outsourcing the backend to Morpho’s smart contracts while keeping the Coinbase interface, the company is betting on what it calls the “DeFi mullet” approach: a familiar fintech user experience at the front, powered by open, decentralized infrastructure in the back.

For users, the product offers an easier way into decentralized lending markets without leaving Coinbase’s platform. For Morpho, it underscores the argument that the future of finance will be built on open networks, but accessed through trusted gateways.

Football Manager 26 adds the women’s game for the first time, with official Barclays Women’s Super League inclusion

by admin September 18, 2025

Football Manager 26 will include the Barclays Women’s Super League and Super League 2, as women are added to the game for the first time.

The news is in addition to the Premier League being officially licensed in this iteration of the series. While this was previously announced for FM25, it was never implemented due to the game’s cancellation.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Barclays Women’s Super League and Women’s Super League 2 to the Football Manager family for FM26,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director of Sports Interactive.

Football Manager 26 | Introducing Women’s FootballWatch on YouTube

“Managers and figures within the league have been integral to the introduction of Women’s Football to our games, so it was only right that the leagues themselves were authentically represented too.

“I can’t wait to read and hear the stories from our players as they get to test their managerial skills in the WSL and WSL2 for the first time.”

Zarah Al-Kudcy, chief revenue officer of WSL Football added: “Bringing women’s football to the game for the first time is a major moment for visibility. This partnership is full of potential and, as an avid Football Manager fan myself, I can’t wait to get my tactics board out and compete for virtual silverware.”

A total of 24 teams will be included, across both leagues, which will be fully licensed with official player photos, club logos and kits.

Last month, Jacobson detailed to Eurogamer what went wrong with last year’s cancelled edition of Football Manager, discussing the challenges of changing to a new engine.

“Did we make the right decision? Yes,” he said. “Did we do everything correctly after making that right decision? No. Are there changes that I would have made to the decisions, if I had my time again? Yes. But I don’t lose sleep over those because you can’t manage them – and everything in life learns from the mistakes that they make.”

Football Manager 26 was officially revealed last month, and will release on 4th November across PC, PlayStation and Xbox (including Game Pass), as well as a separate mobile version for Netflix. A Switch version will follow on 4th December.

Strategy adds $60m in Bitcoin as holdings near 639k BTC

by admin September 15, 2025

Strategy’s latest SEC filing reveals a $60.2 million purchase of 525 BTC, adding to a colossal hoard that now stands just shy of 639,000 BTC and cementing its unparalleled position in the market as the largest corporate holder of the original crypto.

Summary

  • Strategy bought 525 BTC for $60.2 million, lifting holdings to 638,985 BTC.
  • The purchase was funded through sales of perpetual preferred stock.

According to a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, the Tysons Corner, Virginia-based company acquired the Bitcoin (BTC) between September 8 and September 14, paying an average of $114,562 per BTC.

Strategy said the purchase was not funded by operational earnings but rather by the execution of its capital markets strategy, specifically utilizing net proceeds from the sale of three distinct classes of its perpetual preferred stock.

The capital markets engine fueling a Bitcoin juggernaut

Per the filing, the three classes of shares Strategy sold to fund its latest Bitcoin acquisition include its Series A Perpetual Strife Preferred Stock (STRF), Series A Perpetual Strike Preferred Stock (STRK), and Series A Perpetual Stride Preferred Stock (STRD).

These securities, each with different dividend profiles and risk structures, have become the backbone of Strategy’s capital markets playbook as it pushes deeper into Bitcoin exposure. Just last week, the company tapped the same programs to buy 1,955 BTC for $217.4 million, underscoring how quickly the company can convert capital raises into on-chain accumulation.

With the latest transaction, Strategy now holds 638,985 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of $47.23 billion, or $73,913 per BTC. At current market prices, the stash is valued at roughly $73.4 billion, leaving the firm with more than $26 billion in paper gains and cementing its role as the undisputed corporate heavyweight in the digital asset.

That scale is unmatched. According to BitcoinTreasuries.net, the next largest holder among public companies is Marathon Digital, with 52,477 BTC. Other names in the top ten include Tether-backed Twenty One with 43,514 BTC, Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company with 30,021 BTC, and exchange operator Bullish with 24,000 BTC.

Metaplanet, Riot Platforms, Trump Media & Technology Group, CleanSpark, and Coinbase round out the group, each holding between 11,000 and 20,000 BTC. Together, the nine companies outside Strategy account for about 229,000 BTC, barely a third of Strategy’s position.

X4: Foundations’ massive diplomacy update adds an actual embassy room to your HQ, where you can entreat with aliens from across the galaxy and establish yourself as space Machiavelli

by admin September 14, 2025

While not as flashy as Star Citizen or as popular as No Man’s Sky, X4: Foundations is one of the most comprehensive space sims you can play today. Representing a return to form after the failed experiment that was X: Rebirth, X4 continues the series tradition of offering a preposterously detailed simulation of space—featuring trading, combat, space exploration, and dynamic faction politics—while also letting players build and expand their own interstellar empire.

X4 can be a hugely rewarding experience, provided you can handle its vertiginous learning curve and millions of menus. The space sim has quietly trundled along with a small but dedicated community for years now. But its latest update caught my eye. Patch 8.00 introduces a detailed diplomacy system to the sequel, letting you liaise with the universe’s many alien factions, mess with inter-faction relationships to your advantage, and conduct daring espionage operations, essentially adding a slice of Crusader Kings to your adventures through the void.

Described as a “deeply integrated new gameplay feature” by developer Egosoft, X4’s diplomacy system is built around three key components. At its heart is the embassy room, where ambassadors from across the galaxy gather to entreat with you around an actual round table.

Related articles

The embassy room can be unlocked and constructed at your player headquarters. Once unlocked, you can invite other factions to send representatives to your embassy, though you can only do this if you have a friendly (or better) relationship with that faction. I like this physical representation of something that could easily be confined to a menu, though it seems these representatives function mainly as a quick access to the relevant faction menu, so it isn’t quite as simple as it appears.

As well as interacting with factions directly, you can also manipulate them behind their backs through espionage. The diplomacy update introduces agents, recruitable NPCs who can serve both as negotiators and spies. Agents can be given their own ship and dispatched on a variety of missions, including spying on enemy ships, stealing valuable blueprints from other factions, and initiating “diplomatic interference”.

X4: Foundations 🚀 Diplomacy Update (8.00) + Envoy Pack Release Trailer – YouTube

Watch On

What is diplomatic interference? Well, it lets you trigger diplomatic incidents and then influence them to your advantage, altering relationships between factions and improving your own position as a result. Depending on the current standing between the relevant factions, you can wade into trade disputes, arbitrate peace talks, manage territorial claims, and deal with cyber attacks and accusations of espionage. The results of your interference may result in changes to resource claims, redrawn borders, altered alliances, and even wars.

Egosoft describes diplomatic interference as “the most game changing element” of the update. “Changes in faction relations can have an extraordinary impact on the galaxy, as alliances, trade partners and supply chains shift.” The big question, of course, is how well all this works with the rest of X4’s voluminous network of systems. Recent Steam reviews are slightly less positive than the overall rating (76% versus 78%). But they don’t say much about the diplomacy system one way or the other. At least nobody is complaining, I suppose.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

The diplomacy update is available now. The free update coincides with the release of X4’s Envoy Pack. This paid DLC introduces a “stealth-ready” frigate perfect for spies and sneaky negotiators, as well as a new mission chain, a new game-start that throws you right into that storyline, and an extra space sector. The Envoy Pack is available for $8 (£7).

Donkey Kong Bananza DLC Adds Roguelike Mode And Is Out Today

Donkey Kong Bananza DLC Adds Roguelike Mode And Is Out Today

by admin September 14, 2025

During Friday’s hour-long Nintendo Direct, a new paid DLC expansion for Switch 2 game Donkey Kong Bananza was announced. It’s out later today.

Here’s the official trailer for the new DK Island and Emerald Rush DLC, which will be available after the Direct.

The other cool thing this new DLC adds is a whole new way to play Nintendo’s massive 3D platformer. If you have completed the main story of Bananza, you can actually work for the villain of the story and join his mining company. Doing so unlocks a new mode in which you smash up emeralds as fast as possible.

This mode is structured like a roguelike, with players completing runs to get higher scores. During these runs, Donkey Kong can find powerful artifacts that offer new, random perks. These perks offer up passive bonuses that can be stacked to help Donkey Kong earn more emeralds.

Doing well in this new mode, which is playable across the other parts of Donkey Kong Bananza and not just DK Island, lets you earn currency that can be used for buying and unlocking new cosmetic items. You’ll also be able to buy and unlock various statues to place all around DK Island.

This all sounds great to me and I’m excited to hop back into Donkey Kong Bananza. We might not be getting a new 3D Mario platformer anytime soon, but at least Donkey Kong has my back. Thanks, DK!
