Samsung Adds Coinbase Crypto Access for 75M Galaxy Device Users

by admin October 3, 2025

Samsung is teaming up with Coinbase to give 75 million Galaxy device owners in the U.S. access to the exchange’s priority trading service, making it the largest single consumer distribution Coinbase has executed, and Samsung Galaxy’s biggest crypto bet to date, the companies said.

The Samsung Wallet will allow Galaxy owners access to the Coinbase One service, which includes zero trading fees and increased staking rewards. It means users can explore crypto without downloading a separate app or moving funds across platforms.

Samsung Pay is also being linked to Coinbase accounts, allowing Galaxy owners to make payments tied to their holdings. As such, crypto tools will be available in the same place phone users already store payment cards, transit passes and IDs.

“Our mission is to bring more than a billion people on chain, and that starts with meeting them where they already are: on their phones,” said Shan Aggarwal, Chief Business Officer, Coinbase.

While the rollout starts in the U.S., Samsung and Coinbase plan to expand the program to international markets over the coming months.

“Samsung Wallet is a trusted tool to millions of Galaxy users, and we’re continually working to find creative ways to enhance the experience with added functionality,” said Drew Blackard, SVP of Mobile Product Management, Samsung Electronics America.

Fitell adds 216m PUMP tokens in accelerated Solana pivot

by admin October 3, 2025

Fitell is staking a significant portion of its capital on a memecoin platform’s token, allocating $1.5 million for 216.8 million PUMP tokens just one month after securing a $100 million facility dedicated to Solana accumulation.

Summary

  • Fitell added 216.8 million PUMP tokens worth $1.5 million to its treasury.
  • The move follows a $100m facility to expand Solana-based digital assets.
  • It marks the company’s shift from gym equipment retail to crypto-focused strategy.

In a press release dated Oct. 2, the Taren Point, Australia-based Fitell Corporation (NASDAQ: FTEL) confirmed it executed the purchase of 216.8 million PUMP tokens a day earlier. CEO Sam Lu characterized the move as a swift transition “from decision to execution,” framing it as a strategic step to deepen the company’s involvement in the Solana network.

“We are deepening our participation in Solana’s growth story, while diversifying our digital asset treasury to position us to capture long-term growth opportunities for our stakeholders,” Lu said.

Launched through its ICO in July this year, the PUMP token serves as the core asset for the Pump.fun launchpad, a dominant platform for memecoin creation on the Solana blockchain. The token traded at $0.007 at last check and was up over 92% in the last 30 days, according to crypto.news data.

Fitell’s pivot from fitness to Solana treasury

Fitell’s embrace of Solana began in late September, when the company announced the launch of a digital asset treasury backed by a $100 million financing facility. The initiative made Fitell the first Australian firm to anchor its treasury around Solana, with the goal of becoming one of the region’s largest publicly listed holders of the token.

Until recently, the company’s core business had been selling fitness and gym equipment through its Gym Direct subsidiary, which has served more than 100,000 customers in Australia. The sudden tilt into crypto marks a striking departure from its retail origins.

The company’s roadmap, outlined in a September announcement, reveals ambitions that extend far beyond simple asset accumulation. Fitell has articulated a clear DeFi and yield generation strategy, aiming to deploy its Solana assets across a suite of on-chain “structured products.” This includes advanced financial instruments like options and liquidity provisioning, all designed to generate what the company calls “outsized yields” and “alpha generation.”

To cement this new identity, Fitell has initiated a corporate overhaul. The company is taking steps toward a dual listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and has announced plans to formally rebrand as “Solana Australia Corporation.” This intended name change leaves little doubt about its future strategic focus, positioning itself as a dedicated vehicle for Solana ecosystem exposure for public market investors.

Fallout: London's first DLC, Rabbit and Pork, is finally out and adds 30 new quests

Fallout: London’s first DLC, Rabbit and Pork, is finally out and adds 30 new quests

by admin September 30, 2025

Insert joke about London calling here, as Fallout: London developers Team FOLON have just released the first of the mod’s planned three DLC packs. This one’s called Rabbit and Pork and brings with it 30 new quests, plus a laundry list of that includes a bunch of NPCs, extra gear, and stability fixes.

As we covered the other day, to dive into the DLC and have the least chance of running into any bugs that could be lurking, you’ll want to start a fresh run through post-apoclayptic Blighty.

Watch on YouTube

“This major update doesn’t just add new content, it reshapes parts of the game based on your feedback and fixes thousands of issues identified since launch,” Team FOLON wrote in the DLC’s Discord announcement. “We’ve poured a huge amount of effort into making this the most polished and complete experience possible.”

Rabbit and Pork brings 30 new quests and minigames to the mod, along with 80 new characters for which 8000+ lines of chat have been recorded, I assume at least a third of those being in Cockney accents. Taking a quick gander at the release trailer, among the things which’ve stuck out to me are a mission involving a plane named after Fallout: London’s protagonist, the wayfarer, and a visit to the Jack the Ripper museum.

As you explore, 30 new weapons and armours can be found, along with a new animal follower and a home to move into. 70 fresh random encounters and “new content for early faction introductions” round out the additions, while Team FOLON say the number of bug fixes and stability improvements number in the thousands.

“We’re also unveiling a brand-new custom launcher designed alongside the Overwolf team to simplify the installation process for those who wish to use it,” they add. “This one-click solution will alleviate the hassle of traditional mod installations and get players into the game faster and more reliably than ever akin to the GOG one-click installer.”

In addition, the modders have rolled a number of key Fallout 4 mods that help make the game a bit less likely to crash into this release, so the High FPS Fix, X-Cell and Buffout 4 no longer have to be grabbed seperately. Team FOLON recommend you uninstall them if you’ve already downloaded and installed them individually, to avoid duplication.

To round out the news, the modders have also launched a Kickstarter for a Collector’s Edition of Fallout: London. Something to consider backing if you fancy it in between mouthfuls of rabbit and pork. If you bounced off of Fallout: London the first time around due to its launch bugs, here’s the review I wrote of it for my old home.

Logitech’s MX Master 4 adds haptic feedback, mostly just for fun

Logitech’s MX Master 4 adds haptic feedback, mostly just for fun

by admin September 30, 2025

If you saw the leaks, you probably already know that haptics are the big, new thing in Logitech’s $119.99 MX Master 4 wireless mouse, coming in October. No, it’s not adding rumble effects to YouTube videos or to your favorite websites (on second thought, I’d like to try that). And, it’s different from Logitech’s haptics-based click system in its Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse coming in 2026.

The Haptic Sense Panel embedded in its grippy thumb rest vibrates when pressed, opening Logitech’s Action Ring overlay. That overlay can be filled with whatever app- and system-level shortcuts you want. You can even nest multiple Action Rings within one, if you want, letting you drill down to extremely specific commands. The haptics is a hardware feature that, unsurprisingly, requires you to engage pretty heavily with the company’s software, Logi Options Plus.

The haptics punctuate every engagement you make with Logitech’s features, from gestures and Action Rings to its Smart Actions (pre-made or custom macros to automate certain tasks). My favorite use case for the haptics was one that’s switched off by default; you can enable a setting that provides a small jolt of haptic feedback when you move between screens, reducing the amount of “where on earth is my cursor?” moments each day.

Image: Logitech via The Verge

Before digging into the app integration, it’s worth sharing what’s new about the MX Master 4 itself. It has frosted, semi-transparent main buttons that add in a dash of elegance. Some people might be happy to hear that this model includes a USB-C Bolt transmitter, which the other compatible Logitech products (including the new Signature Slim Solar Plus keyboard) can connect to as well.

In terms of battery life, Logitech claims it can last up to 70 days on a full charge (although, setting haptics to “high” intensity in the app will yield a shorter lifespan per charge).

Lastly, its gesture button has moved from the thumb grip, where it was in the MX Master 3S from 2022, to a dedicated button next to the other two thumb buttons, just below the horizontal scroll wheel. When held, you then move the mouse in a cardinal direction to execute a desired action.

Back to the app, Logitech bills the Action Ring as a time-saving feature, an alternative to keyboard shortcuts and moving your cursor across the screen to click something. You don’t have to be a power user to get a lot out of this functionality. For instance, I programmed an Action Ring with a button that auto-launches The Verge, and one that opens WordPress, where we produce articles. There are plugins within Logitech’s app for many third-party apps. Affinity Photo has a version of the Action Ring that appears when I press the Haptic Sense Panel while using the app. It shows some commands that I’m likely to take advantage of, like showing line guides to properly align objects, or simpler stuff like copying and pasting assets.

To be clear, Action Rings aren’t new. The haptic sensations derived from navigating them, on the other hand, are. Clicking the haptics button makes it jolt, as does moving the cursor between the Action Ring’s bubbles. It’s a small, but delightful touch that I appreciate — that is, when I use Action Rings, which I still haven’t trained my brain to rely on when I’m in a flow state at work. I’m sorry to my employer, Vox Media, for all of the time I wasted at work when I could have used Action Rings to enhance my productivity!

With haptics being the main new hardware feature in the MX Master 4, I don’t necessarily think it’s worth upgrading to if you have the MX Master 3S, as it’s similar in many ways. But it’s certainly worth getting instead of the 3S if you’re shopping for a mouse, since the 4 is launching at the same $119.99 price that its predecessor sells for. And, as for those who haven’t used an MX Master-series mouse before, it’s hard to overstate the value of an ergonomically-friendly mouse with a stellar scroll wheel, quiet clicks, and solid battery life. Haptics are just a nice add-on.

Citi Adds Token Services To 24/7 Usd Clearing System

Citi Adds Token Services to 24/7 USD Clearing System

by admin September 30, 2025

Citigroup has announced the integration of its blockchain-powered Citi® Token Services with its 24/7 USD Clearing solution, marking a major step forward in real-time cross-border payments. Institutional clients in the U.S. and U.K. can now move funds instantly across Citi and non-Citi accounts, eliminating cut-off times and enhancing liquidity management.

This is the first time a global bank has deployed a tokenized infrastructure that operates round the clock with multi-bank reach. The integration allows clients to bypass legacy friction points such as transaction delays and pre-funded accounts.

The offering uses a permissioned blockchain to facilitate secure, on-demand tokenized liquidity transfers, effectively bridging the gap between traditional clearing systems and decentralized technologies. Citi’s move also adds flexibility for its 1,500 financial institution clients, who can now process USD payments at any time, including weekends and U.S. holidays.

“Global commerce doesn’t take weekends off, and neither should payments”,  said Debopama Sen, Citi’s Head of Payments. “This solution reflects our continued commitment to deliver real-time infrastructure that matches the speed of business.”

Citi has been steadily building blockchain presence, processing billions in tokenized transactions since launching Citi Token Services in 2024. The bank now operates in the U.S., U.K., Singapore, and Hong Kong, with expansion plans in motion for other regions.

A direct challenge to stablecoin infrastructure?

The timing of the announcement may not be coincidental. Earlier this week, Citi published a research report forecasting the stablecoin market to reach $4 trillion by 2030 in a bullish scenario. However, it also warned that stablecoins might face headwinds from bank-issued digital tokens, which could be favored due to clearer regulation and compliance standards.

In that report, analysts projected that bank tokens could process over $100 trillion in annual transactions, surpassing expectations for private stablecoins. Citi’s infrastructure rollout aligns with this institutional trend while avoiding the regulatory uncertainty tied to public stablecoins.

As banks like Citi adopt compliant blockchain tech, the line between stablecoins and bank tokens blurs, yet the race for digital dollar dominance is clearly on.

Capital B Adds 12 More BTC, Total Holding Reach 2,812 Bitcoins

by admin September 29, 2025

Capital B, a publicly listed firm on Euronext Growth Paris, confirmed the acquisition of 12 BTC for $1.4 million (€1.2 million) on Friday, raising its total Bitcoin holdings to 2,812 BTC. The move follows its recent capital raise completed on September 23, which had already signaled plans to expand the company’s treasury with proceeds from share issuance of said value.

The company’s BTC yield has reached 1,656.1% year-to-date, underscoring the aggressive accumulation strategy that has characterized its 2025 roadmap. On September 22, Capital B acquired 551 BTC for €54.7 million, just before completing a separate €58.1 million private placement aimed at further institutional onboarding.

Treasury-first playbook continues

This latest confirmation aligns with projections made last week, when Capital B disclosed that the $1.4 million (€1.2 million) capital injection could finance the purchase of around 10 BTC. With BTC operating at $113K, the firm moved to expand exposure, again.

According to BitcoinTreasuries, Capital B now ranks as the 28th largest public holder of Bitcoin in the globe. The company has developed its brand around treasury accumulation, with a range of verticals in data intelligence, AI, and decentralized tech consulting providing support to its primary BTC thesis.

Capital B’s stock (ALCPB) last traded at €1.030 ($1.30), up 7.44% on the day of its last announcement. As more firms experiment with balance-sheet Bitcoin strategies, Capital B continues to position itself as a European counterpart to U.S.-based players like MicroStrategy.

4 years after launch, card-based brawler Fights in Tight Spaces gets an expansion that adds a canine companion and an ‘all new assistant system’

by admin September 27, 2025

It’s been four years since Fights in Tight Spaces grabbed turn-based tactics by the collar and beat it about the head with a stack of collectible cards, so the fact that it’s getting an expansion this far out was a surprise in and of itself. That this DLC primarily adds a dog to help you batter baddies in cramped conditions is, if anything, a pleasant bonus.

For the uninitiated, Fights in Tight Spaces takes the tactical layer of games like X-COM and replaces the aliens with a heavy dose of John Wick. Playing as suave silhouette Agent 11, each level places you in an isometric, turn-based action scenario filled with monochromatic goons, then deals you a handful of martial-arts themed playing cards. You need to play the cards to take out your opponents in the most efficient way possible. It’s a straightforward premise, but one sleekly presented and with more depth than you might expect.

The DLC, named K9 Division, adds a helpful hound into the game’s card-based brawls. According to developer Ground Shatter, this involves more than just an extra character to play with. While Agent K can fight on their own terms using an array of dog specific moves such as biting enemies, intimidating them by barking, or distracting them to give Agent 11 more breathing room, the DLC also layers in an “all-new assistant system” that allows both agents to team-up for flashy combinations.

Watch On

You can experiment with this system via not one but two canine starter decks, each offering a slightly different hound-assisted fighting style through a total of 50 new cards. The DLC also brings a “remixed story mode” letting you experience the game afresh with Agent K’s assistance, as well as new enemies for you to batter/bite. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, yes, there is a card for petting the dog.

If you’re wondering why Fights in Tight Spaces is getting this DLC four years after launch, it seems K9 Division ports over some of the companion systems seen in Ground Shatter’s sequel Knights in Tight Spaces, which released earlier this year. While a decent follow-up, Knights doesn’t appear to have gone down as well as Fights did. Knights’ ‘Mostly Positive’ Steam reviews claim that it’s a richer experience all-told, but one that takes a while to show its strengths, lacking the more immediate appeal of its predecessor.

In any case, Fights in Tight Spaces: K9 Division is available now, with an RRP of $10 (£8.50) Ground Shatter is currently running a 10% launch discount, bringing that price down to $9 (£7.65) until October 2.

OranjeBTC Adds Fernando Ulrich To Board Amid BTC Push

by admin September 27, 2025

OranjeBTC, set to become Latin America’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company, has appointed economist and Bitcoin educator Fernando Ulrich to its Board of Directors. The move comes just days after the firm disclosed a $385 million Bitcoin purchase, its largest to date, bringing its holdings to over $400 million ahead of its upcoming B3 stock exchange listing.

Ulrich is widely recognized for his early advocacy of Bitcoin in Brazil. In 2014, he published Bitcoin – A Moeda na Era Digital, the first Portuguese-language book on the subject. His influence has grown through one of Brazil’s most-watched YouTube channels covering economics, politics, and digital assets.

We’re thrilled to welcome @fernandoulrich to our Board at Oranje BTC!

— OranjeBTC (@ORANJEBTC) September 26, 2025

Leadership for a bitcoin-only mandate

The appointment signals OranjeBTC’s intent to reinforce its positioning as a Bitcoin-pure play amid growing interest in crypto treasury strategies. CEO Guilherme Gomes has stated the company will go public via a reverse merger with Intergraus in early October, with an 85% free float expected post-listing.

Ulrich’s addition may help OranjeBTC bridge policy influence and financial education, particularly as it plans to launch a crypto literacy platform using Intergraus’ infrastructure. The firm aims to pioneer Bitcoin-first investing in a market where adoption is high but institutional infrastructure remains fragmented.

Bitcoin Treasury trend

OranjeBTC joins a growing number of firms building aggressive BTC-focused portfolios. The move echoes strategies seen from MicroStrategy in the U.S. and, more recently, Nakamoto Holdings (NAKA), whose PIPE-driven volatility underscores the high-risk, high-conviction nature of this approach.

As more companies turn to Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset, board-level decisions are becoming as critical as balance sheet allocations. The onboarding of Ulrich adds not only subject-matter credibility but also suggests that Bitcoin-native governance may become a core part of this emerging corporate archetype.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds adds Mega Man next year, with post-launch roadmap now revealed

by admin September 27, 2025

Sega has revealed the post-launch roadmap for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, including last night’s announcement that Mega Man will be joining next year as paid DLC.

Capcom’s iconic hero will be joined by Proto Man too, plus there will be a Dr. Wily’s Castle course and a vehicle inspired by canine companion Rush.

The DLC will be available in Q2 next year in the third patch of the game’s Season Pass. That begins later this year with the addition of Minecraft and SpongeBob Squarepants, with Pac-Man to follow early next year.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds | Mega Man Reveal TrailerWatch on YouTube

Then, Q3 of 2026 will see the arrival of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and anime Avatar Legends. Each Season Pass Content Pack includes playable characters, a new vehicle, a new track, emotes and sounds.

In addition, there will be a number of free updates adding new characters and more. Hatsune Miku and Sonic Prime characters are available at launch for Digital Deluxe owners. Then later this year Joker from Persona 5 and Ichiban from Like A Dragon will be added, along with another unknown character.

More free additions will arrive in each quarter next year. You can see the roadmap in the image below.

Mega Man’s inclusion leaked last week, so his reveal at last night’s PlayStation State of Play came as little surprise.

However, the back of the physical box includes artwork for Sega Saturn icon NiGHTS, with fans presuming the jester character will be one of the free characters coming to the game.

Who else do you hope to see join Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds?

YouTube Premium adds high-quality audio and 4x playback for iOS, Android and desktop

by admin September 26, 2025

Google is expanding access to YouTube Premium features like faster playback speeds and high-quality audio to more types of devices. Most people subscribe to YouTube Premium to remove ads from YouTube and access to YouTube Music, but Google also includes a variety of “power-user” features that give subscribers more granular control over their viewing or listening experience. Now those features will be available in more places.

YouTube Premium’s faster playback speeds (in 0.5x increments from 1x to 4x speed) are now available on Android, iOS and the web, after initially only being available in the mobile YouTube app. The ability to have YouTube automatically download Shorts to view offline or watch Shorts in a picture-in-picture window is now also available on both iOS and Android, after originally launching on Android. Google says Premium’s Jump Ahead feature for skipping to “key moments” of a video is now also available on smart TVs and game consoles.

In terms of the music side of the house, the big change has to do with audio quality. When you’re watching a music video, Google says you’ll now be able to select “High” from the audio settings and listen at a 256kbps bitrate. This change applies to “Art Tracks” as well, which are videos of songs available on the wider YouTube platform that don’t have an official music video. The “High” quality option was originally only available in the YouTube Music app, but now Google says you can access it across the Android and iOS version of both YouTube Music and YouTube.

None of these updates change what the main benefit of a $13.99-per-month YouTube Premium subscription is, of course, but for the price, it’s good Google is trying to unify the experience across devices.
