How to use Steam’s in-game performance monitor to display real FPS with DLSS or FSR frame generation active

by admin June 24, 2025

Steam’s new in-game overlay performance monitor is in a public beta, allowing users to see the real FPS, including with DLSS and FSR frame generation, and today I’ll show you how to install and configure it.

On my Steam Deck and recent Linux gaming PC experiment, I use MangoHud to display live performance stats while I play; in fact, a version of it comes ready to go on Steam Deck. But there is a new means to monitor your performance, and it comes directly from Valve.

First, what fresh features does this new monitor bring to the table? As you would expect, it reports the same as every other performance monitor:

  • FPS
  • CPU and GPU performance (including graph)
  • System and GPU RAM usages
  • System temperatures

But with Steam’s new in-game performance monitor, we can also see when DLSS / FSR frame generation has been enabled. Yes, the new Steam performance monitor can detect frame generation technologies and provide us with both the DLSS/FSR framegen-enhanced FPS and the baseline FPS in one-second intervals. With this, we can see, at a glance, the FPS boost provided by frame generation. If we are not using any form for frame generation, then we only see one set of FPS values. If frame generation is in use, we get both sets of FPS counters.

Does the new performance monitor work in Linux? Yes, it does! I just tested it with my Bazzite setup, currently in the lounge, ready for a quick gaming session. So, how can you get this working with your setup? I’ve detailed all the steps that you will need to do to get this working on your Windows and Linux gaming PC.

6. Scroll down the In Game section to Overlay Performance Monitor and select Show performance monitor. Change the drop down value to your requirement. I chose the top left of the screen.

7. Under Performance detail level, select your required level of detail. I chose to show everything!

8. Unless you are blessed with excellent eyesight. Change the text scaling level and the background opacity. The further up the scale, the larger the text, the darker the background.

9. Close the window and start your chosen game. The new performance overlay will appear.

Why did I mention changing the text scaling level? Because on my first go, the text was incredibly hard to read!

Solana highlights 3,200 active devs, $1b+ app revenue for second straight quarter

by admin June 20, 2025

Solana’s network continues to attract strong engagement, with more than $1 billion in app revenue.

Solana (SOL)continues to see strong user engagement. On Friday, the Solana Foundation published its Solana Network Health Report, showcasing its performance in Q2 of 2025. Notably, the app revenue on the network exceeded $1 billion for the second quarter in a row.

Application revenue by chain | Source: Solana Foundation

In Q2, Solana’s app revenue rose compared to Q1—even as application revenue on other major networks declined. In fact, Solana’s app revenue now surpasses the combined total of all other blockchain networks.

This activity also contributed to a sharp rise in validator income, which reached an average quarterly level of $800 million. The peak occurred on Jan. 19, with $56.9 million earned in a single day. At the same time, validator costs have dropped dramatically.

Notably, the breakeven SOL stake required for validators to cover their costs has fallen significantly. Validators now require just 16,000 SOL to break even, down from 50,000 SOL in 2022. According to the Solana Foundation, this reflects substantial improvements in network efficiency.

Solana has also topped the charts in attracting new developers. In 2024, the network drew 7,625 developers, more than any other blockchain, including Ethereum.

Solana Foundation showcases decentralization gains

According to the Solana Foundation, the network has made significant gains in decentralization. The Nakamoto Coefficient, used to measure how decentralized a network is, reached 20 by June. This puts Solana ahead of Ethereum, Sui, and Sei, which have coefficients of 6, 18, and 7, respectively.

Solana validators are also geographically distributed, with no single country or data center controlling more than 33% of the total stake. Germany leads with 23.55%, followed by the U.S. at 17.37%, and the Netherlands at 14.36%.

79% of XRP Holders In Profit as Active Addresses Skyrocket

by admin June 19, 2025

  • Restored confidence in XRP
  • A hint at long-term growth

XRP is showing renewed strength across the crypto market, with on-chain metrics pointing to growing investor confidence.

According to fresh data from Glassnode, 78.8% of all XRP holders are currently in profit, even as the token trades just below the $2.20 mark.

This means nearly eight out of ten wallets are holding XRP at a value higher than their purchase price — a strong signal for both existing holders and potential investors evaluating market sentiment.

Restored confidence in XRP

What makes this development even more notable is the sharp increase in on-chain activity. The number of daily active XRP addresses has surged by 182.7%, reaching 110,000.

This level of growth surpasses that of most other top cryptocurrencies in recent days, reflecting not only increased usage but also rising transactional momentum across the XRP network.

Supporting this trend is a significant rise in on-chain volume, with $1.3 billion worth of XRP moved in a single day, marking a 21.2% increase.

Such high-volume activity often indicates participation from both retail and institutional players, and reinforces the notion that XRP is gaining traction as a transactional asset, rather than just a speculative instrument.

The combination of a high percentage of profitable wallets and growing network activity tends to reduce short-term selling pressure. It also implies that XRP’s current strength may be fueled by organic demand and utility, not merely short-term speculation.

A hint at long-term growth

For long-term investors, the jump in active addresses is particularly promising. It suggests a rising user base and healthier network fundamentals — both of which are critical for sustainable price appreciation. Historically, increased utility and real-world adoption have served as key drivers for long-term crypto growth.

According to the latest CoinMarketCap data, XRP’s price has dipped slightly by 0.49% over the last 24 hours, now trading at $2.15.

Source: CoinMarketCap

Despite the marginal pullback, the token maintains a strong market position, with a total market capitalization of $126.71 billion.

Chart analysis shows a steep upward price trajectory, peaking above $2.18 before experiencing a brief correction below $2.15. The current price movement reflects typical market volatility, but the overall trend appears healthy amid strong on-chain fundamentals.

As on-chain metrics and market data converge, XRP seems well-positioned for a potential breakout, especially with increased activity and a large portion of holders already in profit. With rising confidence and usage, XRP could be gearing up for a major move — possibly one of the biggest of the year.

A Death Stranding animated film is now in active development

by admin June 19, 2025

Kojima Productions and animation studio Line Mileage have announced that they’re collaborating on an upcoming animated film set in the universe of Death Stranding.

Screenwriter Aaron Guzikowski is attached to the project, which is now in active development. Guzikowski is known as the creator of acclaimed HBO Max sci-fi series Raised By Wolves, as well as dark 2013 thriller Prisoners from director Denis Villeneuve.

The film will have an original story, rather than following the events of the 2019 game.

“I love the world of Death Stranding, it’s so creatively freeing, so beautifully dark and yet hopeful,” Guzikowski said in a statement. “I’m so excited and honored that Hideo Kojima, whose work I’ve long admired, has invited me to dwell within his creation, to birth new stories into this fertile, mind-bending universe.”

Line Mileage is a relatively new animation and post-production house, with members of its leadership team having worked on Netflix animated shows like Castlevania, Blood of Zeus, and Tomb Raider.

The animated project is totally separate from A24’s plans to adapt Death Stranding for the big screen, with A Quiet Place: Day One director Michael Sarnoski attached to that film.

Sequel Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches on June 26, 2025 for PlayStation 5.

Anker’s Soundcore Sleep A30 earbuds now feature active noise canceling

by admin June 16, 2025

As with previous versions, Anker is making its new Soundcore Sleep A30 available for preorder through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign that’s launching today, while full availability of the earbuds is expected sometime in August 2025 through Amazon and Soundcore’s online store. At $229.99, the Sleep A30 are quite a bit more expensive than last year’s $149.99 Sleep A20, but the earliest Kickstarter backers can get the A30 discounted to $139.

The Sleep A30 earbuds are now 7 percent slimmer and feature a smaller design that ensures they don’t protrude from your ears so there’s reduced pressure while wearing them and laying on a pillow if you’re a side sleeper. To help you find a snug fit, Anker includes four sizes of silicone ear tips, three sizes of memory foam tips, and three sizes of ear wings.

Anker claims the new Sleep A30 block up to 30dB of external noise, but the added ANC, which uses two mics positioned inside and outside your ears, does result in reduced battery life. The A20 could run for up to 14 hours on a single charge, but the A30 max out at up to nine hours on their own, or up to 45 hours with their charging case. However, that’s only when listening to white noise or other sounds designed to help you fall asleep that are stored on the buds themselves. When streaming music or podcasts from a phone, battery life is further reduced to up to 6.5 hours or 35 hours with the case.

The Sleep A30’s charging case has been upgraded with what Anker is calling “Adaptive Snore Masking technology.” If it detects the sounds of snoring from another person nearby, it analyzes the volume and frequency of the sounds and generates “noise masking audio” that’s sent to the buds to help block it out.

The new earbuds also feature sleep monitoring and sleep position tracking, allowing you to see how restful or eventful your night was through the Soundcore mobile app; a private repeatable alarm with snooze functionality; and a Find My Earbud feature should they fall out in the night and get lost in the sheets.

Algorand price wobbles despite surge in active addresses and transactions

by admin June 11, 2025

Algorand price has bounced back this month as the crypto market rally accelerated and its network growth continued.

Algorand (ALGO) rose to a high of $0.2075, its highest swing since May 30 and 17% above the lowest point this month. It remains 66% below its highest point since December last year.

Nansen data shows that Algorand was the best-performing blockchain in the crypto industry over the last seven days. The network handled 13.69 million transactions during that period, a 54% increase from a week earlier. Similarly, active addresses rose by 54% to 1.264 million.

Algorand active addresses | Source: Nansen

More data shows that the stablecoin supply on Algorand is slowly bouncing back. The stablecoin market cap has jumped by 12% in the last seven days to $53.8 million, up from $41.5 million on May 28.

In a recent X post, the Algorand Foundation said that online stake jumped to 7.1%, crossing the 2 billion milestone for the first time.

Its Real World Asset tokenization total value locked rose by 2.64%, while monthly active users increased by 4.14%. Most of the RWA growth is on Lofty, a tokenized real estate marketplace that has surpassed $50 million in TVL.

May was a great month for Algorand:

🔒 Online Stake +7.1%
🔨 Asset Creation +4.72%
📈 Monthly Active Users +4.14%
🌎 RWA TVL +2.64%
📊 Transaction Volume +2.2%

We hit 3 billion transactions and 2 billion in online stake ✅

— Algorand Foundation (@AlgoFoundation) June 9, 2025

Algorand has been in the spotlight after losing a FIFA deal on NFT to Avalanche (AVAX).

Algorand price technical analysis

ALGO price chart | Source: crypto.news

The daily chart shows that the ALGO price bottomed at $0.1462 on April 7 before bouncing back. It has formed an ascending channel, connecting the higher highs and higher lows since April 7. This channel is part of a bearish flag pattern, a common continuation signal.

Algorand price remains below the 50-day and 100-day Exponential Moving Averages. It is also consolidating at the 78.6% Fibonacci Retracement level at $0.2083.

Therefore, the token will likely resume the downtrend and potentially retest the key support level at $0.1462, its lowest point on April 8. A move above the psychological level at $0.25 would invalidate the bearish outlook.

Daily active users were 225% higher for Fallout 3 and 4 in weeks following TV premiere

Daily active users were 225% higher for Fallout 3 and 4 in weeks following TV premiere

by admin May 31, 2025

Following the success of Amazon Prime’s Fallout series, daily active users were 225% higher for Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 in the weeks following the show’s premiere last April.

That’s according to a report conducted by Sensor Tower, which looked into the effect film and television adaptations are having on the games they’re based on.

Sensor Tower found that sales of Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 rose 125% and 410% respectively, as both games dropped in price during the week of the show’s premiere.

The series boosted DAUs for mobile spin-off Fallout Shelter, too, which increased by 77% while in-app purchases revenue jumped 150%.

App downloads of Amazon Prime Video grew by 20% during the week Fallout debuted. Amazon has since announced a premiere window for its second season – December 2025 – and greenlit a third series.

Sensor Tower also collated data on HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us, and Warner Bros. box office smash with A Minecraft Movie.

It found that DAUs for The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 rose 40% following the premiere of the show’s second season on April 13, 2025. HBO Max also saw a 6% increase of app downloads.

In contrast to Fallout, Sensor Tower noted that the “results for The Last of Us hinged on bringing new awareness to the franchise” rather than the “free-to-play” nature of Fallout Shelter and “the uniqueness of the show’s story from the game.”

The Last of Us has since been renewed for a third season, with HBO’s programming EVP Francesca Orsi telling Deadline that there will likely be four seasons of the show.

As for A Minecraft Movie – which surpassed $550 million in ten days – mobile in-app purchases rose 44% while console games saw an increase of 36% during the month of its release.

Sensor Tower noted a 9% spike in mobile players for Minecraft in contrast to a 41% increase on console following the film’s premiere.

As reported by Deadline, Warner Bros. has since confirmed there is a sequel for A Minecraft Movie in the works.

Mr. Monopoly rolling dice for rewards in Monopoly GO
Esports

All active free dice links for (May 2025)

by admin May 24, 2025

Scopely adds new Monopoly GO free dice links daily, granting you up to 50 or more dice rolls. We verify all links to ensure they’re safe to use, so don’t miss out on these free-to-play rewards.

Gaining dice rolls is the best way to maximize your rewards as a free-to-play player. You don’t have to roll daily, but logging in is essential. I once earned hundreds of dice over a month by claiming free dice links. Here’s every free dice link for May 24, how to get more free dice, and tips to help you earn additional free dice rolls in Monopoly GO.

Full list of Monopoly GO free dice links, May 24

Links will drop daily. Image via Scopely

Free dice links typically range from 25 to 30 free dice rolls, and links sometimes include sticker packs as well. Here’s every active Monopoly GO free dice link for today:

Dice links may expire on the day they’re set to end. They’re also prone to glitches, so if a link doesn’t work, close the Monopoly GO app and reopen it after a minute or two. To claim a free dice link, you must be on the device you play Monopoly GO, which is most often a mobile device. Another reason a free dice link won’t work is if you already claimed it or the link expired.

Tip:

You can only claim one free dice link per account.

Best ways to get free Monopoly GO dice on May 24

Mega Heists are top-tier timed Monopoly GO events that can earn you free dice. Today is a good day to stock up on dice with the Desert Bloom Partner Event running and the upcoming Marvel GO sticker album.

Daily strategies to get more free Monopoly GO dice rolls

Make sure you get your free gifts. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Maximizing free dice daily is the best way to play Monopoly GO as a free-to-play player. Here’s how to get more rolls in addition to free dice links.

  • Log in daily to Monopoly GO. Logging in daily earns you various rewards, from dice and cash to sticker packs.
  • Collect a gift every eight hours. It’s tedious, but you can earn up to 50 free dice rolls daily by collecting the gift. The gift is located in the shop at the top left and has a red dot indicating it’s waiting for you to claim.
  • Random gifts. Scopely has been known to give out free dice and other gifts during anniversaries or holidays.
  • Play Community Chests. Playing the daily Community Chests in Monopoly GO can occasionally reward you with dice rolls, typically between 20 and 30, which you earn from friend tokens collected in the minigame.
  • Bring friends to the game. Having friends join Monopoly GO gives you both free dice rolls. You can repeat this process with up to 10 people. Players must be new to the game and create an account using your link or be friends with you on Facebook.
  • Claim free rewards from pop-up Bargains. Occasionally, a Bargain contains free dice, sticker packs, or cash. Don’t be quick to close them out; you might miss out on free Monopoly GO rewards.

5 tips to get free Monopoly GO Dice rolls while playing

Follow these tips and strategies to maximize your dice roll count in Monopoly GO.

  • Complete daily Quick Wins. Three Quick Win milestones (with 10 and 35 free dice) are rewarded each day.
  • Level up Monopoly GO boards. Using Monopoly GO events, like Builder’s Bash and Landmark Rush, when leveling up your boards gives you free dice rolls in addition to the standard rolls.
  • Play top events and tournaments. Playing during a Monopoly GO event or tournament is the best way to get more dice quickly since their milestones often feature hundreds and thousands of dice.
  • Finish Sticker sets. Completing sticker sets earns you dice rewards ranging from a few hundred to over 1,000. Farm stickers to earn even more dice rolls by cashing your duplicate stickers for Vault rewards.
  • Complete or compete in a main event. My favorite main events are Treasure Hunts and Partner events. Other main event options are Peg-E and Tycoon Racers.

Is Monopoly GO free-to-play?

Discover the free-to-play path. Screenshot by Dot Esports

Playing Monopoly GO as a free-to-play player is possible, as I do it every day. It takes some work, though. I pick and choose which main events I want to play, along with any daily Monopoly GO events like solo events and tournaments.

Some days, I claim my free dice links and rolls and use them to complete my Quick Wins, earning more dice in the process. On other days, I roll at a 50x multiplier to finish atop the tournament leaderboard or claim big rewards from a main event.

The best way to play for free in Monopoly GO is to claim all the free daily rewards, use the tips and tricks I listed to get more dice and prioritize the events you want to play.

Active Dandy’s World codes (updated May 2025)

by admin May 24, 2025

Mascot Horror games are massive on Roblox, but few do it better than Dandy’s World.

Rather than just relying on jump scares like Five Nights at Freddy’s might, you’ll be thrust directly into a terrifying world where working with your friends and other players can make or break your run. Work with your team to make it as far as you can into the Gardenview Center, all while avoiding the terrifying creatures that hope to bring an end to you and your crew. Is it genuinely scary? Maybe not compared to the freakiest, nastiest, best horror games on PC—but there’s enough terror here to keep you hanging on the edge of your seat.

To unlock new items and stay alive in Dandy’s World you’ll need a resource called Ichor, and we’ve got some Dandy’s World codes that will drop some directly onto your account. So grab some codes, get some Ichor, and get ready to have the time of your life.

How to redeem Dandy’s World codes

  1. Open Dandy’s World in Roblox
  2. Wait for the experience to load up
  3. Find “Use Code” on the left side of the screen, under Twisteds
  4. Enter any of the codes listed above
  5. Click “USE” to redeem your codes and claim your rewards

I’ve gone through and tested all of the codes in Dandy’s World to ensure which codes do and don’t work, so feel free to copy and paste them directly from our page.

We’re checking in regularly to make sure we’ve got the freshest codes for this experience, so come back weekly and be sure to redeem any new codes before they expire. Sometimes Roblox developers will remove a code without any notice, so keep on top of it if you want to keep topped up on free Ichor.

If you can’t copy and paste our codes directly, be sure that you’re following the correct capitalization and punctuation. Some Roblox games can be very picky about things like this, and it could lead to errors if you don’t put them in exactly as they’re listed.

Active Blade Ball codes (updated May 2025)

by admin May 24, 2025

It’s you versus 14 other players in Blade Ball, the most exciting original experience on Roblox. I found myself facing off against foes of different skill levels, all with the same goal: defend and destroy. A simple premise overall that turns far more interesting as matches go on, Blade Ball is easy to learn but I don’t feel like I’m close to mastering it yet.

Thankfully, Blade Ball also has plenty of free codes available, so you can unlock free items, skills, and everything in between if you find yourself as hooked on it as I am.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started your journey in Blade Ball or you’ve been playing for months now: Free items are free items. Punch in as many of these codes as you can to fill out your collection, as developers sometimes remove them without any notice and when they’re gone they’re gone.

  1. Open Blade Ball on Roblox
  2. Click “Extras” in the top right corner
  3. Scroll down and select Codes
  4. Enter any of the codes listed on our page
  5. Click the Green Checkmark to redeem codes and get your rewards

Looking to make your redemption process easier? Copy and paste any of the codes directly from our page into Blade Ball and just click the green check mark.

I’ve gone through and tested each of the codes on this page to ensure that they work, to avoid any frustrations. If a code isn’t working, there is a chance that the developers have recently disabled that code without our knowledge. This happens, so be sure you’re checking back weekly to make sure you’ve always got the freshest codes—we’re also regularly updating this guide when find codes have expired.

If you’re unable to copy and paste the codes directly from our page, be sure that you’re following our capitalization and punctuation. Some experiences in Roblox will throw an error over these little details, so if you want to redeem your codes, replicate them exactly.

Good luck on the Blade Ball battlefield, brave soldiers.
