This horse-themed browser puzzle game is an absolute delight and I can’t stop playing it

by admin September 15, 2025

Another day, another adorable game that I’ve become completely obsessed with. I came across Roly-Pony this weekend during a particularly soul-sucking bout of doomscrolling, and it’s turned out to be the perfect little temporary respite from the horrors. (Shoutout to Alice Ruppert of The Mane Quest for always keeping us informed about the latest in horse games).

Roly-Pony is a Suika-style game, meaning it involves dropping and stacking round objects in order to create matching pairs that combine to become different, bigger objects. That’ll also clear up space on the board in the process, which is important because, similar to Tetris, you can’t allow the objects to pile too high. In this case, you start with horse treats and keep building on them until you’ve unlocked a bunch of different horses. It’s very simple and very cute, with peaceful music going in the background and a lot of little details that people who love horses will really appreciate.

The game is free and playable on both the web and mobile, with a leaderboard so you can see how you rank. I naively thought I would just quickly check this game out (because, horses) and move on after a few minutes, but have instead spent hours this weekend trying to crack the top 10. I’ve now got it bookmarked on both my laptop and my phone, so at this point there’s no end in sight. Roly-Pony is free, but there’s an option to send a few dollars the developers’ way on itch.io if you want to support their work.

There is an absolute banger of a Feel Good Inc. remix made exclusively out of Stronghold Crusader sound effects, and it is now available on Spotify

You’ll always find some sort of otherworldly artifact in your YouTube song mix if you let it run long enough.

I’m not sure how and why the algorithm decided to serve me up this recent banger from Egg Beatz that uses nothing but sound effects from Middle Age strategy game classic Stronghold Crusader to recreate Gorillaz’ legendary Feel Good Inc., but it almost makes up for the precipitous drop it has recently caused to many of my favorite creators’ view count.

(Almost.)

But back to the banger! While you’ll definitely get more out of the song if you have played any of the classic Stronghold games, you can appreciate the skill and effort on display even without any experience with the world of the Rat, the Snake, the Pig, and the Wolf.

Starting off with The Pig’s distorted, slowed-down laughter, and the Arabian Assassin unit’s classic voice line setting the tone, followed by a slow buildup of the ever-so-common “No change in the treasury, lord,” you just immediately know that you’re in good hands.

Then it goes on like this:

“Something is wrong with our hops, mylord

My master thinks we’re losing this war

Gird your loins, sharpen your steel

Failure is not an option, just keep your eyes peeled

I’ll be away from work for a fair while

No space in the stockpile

I heard a rumor, a message from your scribe

Bandits are operating near the castle, lordship.”

Again, all this is arranged to the tune of Feel Good Inc., and it works shockingly well.

The best part? This awesome arrangement is now also available on Spotify, courtesy of the team at Firefly Studios being good sports about such a truly transformative work. For my money, this has now surpassed the legendary Age of Empires 2 theme song remix with the unforgettable Wololo autotune.

Yeah, there are some great gems at the bottom of the internet if you are still willing to rep the classics.

The Asus Prime RTX 5070 12GB is the absolute cheapest RTX 5070 available to buy, now only $523

by admin September 3, 2025

Although still on the “far too expensive” side for me, it’s great to see the continuation of the 50-series GPU discounts from retailers. One of the reasons for the dip in prices may be to clear out inventory before the release of the rumoured 50-series Super variants when they release, or perhaps interest has waned on overly expensive graphics cards; we can’t be certain, but I welcome any and all price reductions.

Hitting an all-time low price on B&H Photo, Asus’s GeForce RTX 5070 Prime GPU is now only $523.79, a new all-time low price and, more importantly, dipping well under the paper-MSRP launch prices. As of the writing of this article, it is the cheapest RTX 5070 12GB available to buy. It’s also worth noting that the same card can be purchased from Amazon for the identical deal price, but there is a caveat: you must be an Amazon Prime member to purchase this GPU.

If you want to pack the latest generation of graphics card in your system, today’s deal could be the perfect opportunity to pick one up. The Asus Prime RTX 5070 utilizes the Blackwell architecture and provides access to the latest Nvidia software features, including DLSS 4, Reflex 2, Nvidia Broadcast, and more.

The Asus Prime RTX 5070 12GB features 6144 CUDA cores for graphics processing, and a boost clock of 2542MHz. The super-fast GDDR7 VRAM features memory speeds of 28 Gbps on a 192-bit memory bus, and with 12GB available, there is ample memory for compiling shaders and textures to achieve optimal game performance.

We’ve been testing the latest 50-series cards extensively and benchmarking them against some of the most popular game titles out there. You can see how the RTX 5070 12GB ranks in our review, where we put the Nvidia GPU through its paces. In the chart below, you can see where the RTX 5070 ranks in regard to the geomean averages for rasterization in our suite of games. Placing above the previous generation’s RTX 4070, it has slight generational performance gains in pure rasterization.
