Dogecoin Mining Gets $2.5M Boost From Trump-Linked Thumzup Media

According to multiple reports, Thumzup Media Corporation has provided a $2.5 million loan to DogeHash Technologies to help expand Dogecoin mining operations.

The cash is tied to an agreement that could turn into an all-stock acquisition, with DogeHash shareholders reportedly set to receive about 30.7 million Thumzup shares under the deal.

That swap, based on the filings and press notes, may lead the combined company to adopt a new ticker and brand if the transaction closes.

Thumzup Expands Mining Fleet

Reports have disclosed the fresh funds will go toward buying and deploying more mining rigs. The plan calls for adding 500+ ASIC miners, which backers say would push the company’s active machines to over 4,000 by year end.

That is a substantial jump from current levels. The company has also been building a treasury of Dogecoin. Based on reports, Thumzup has accumulated roughly 7.5 million DOGE at an estimated cost near $2 million.

Share Swap And Possible Rebrand

Sources indicate the proposed purchase is an all-share transaction rather than a cash sale. The 30.7 million share figure would give DogeHash holders a stake in Thumzup, and some statements suggest management expects to seek a new ticker — mentioned in rumor as “XDOG” — after closing.

Timelines cited in disclosures point to a closing window in Q4, but that timing depends on regulatory checks and shareholder approvals. The change in focus from marketing services to crypto and mining is being framed by backers as a strategic shift for Thumzup’s business model.

Regulatory And Execution Risks

There are risks. Reports warn that delivering hundreds of ASIC units, securing power, and managing higher operating costs are not simple tasks. Mining difficulty and hardware supply chain delays could blunt the expected gains.

Loan terms and final deal mechanics remain subject to due diligence. Also, while the news has been tied to the Trump family, the link is mainly through prior share purchases by Donald Trump Jr., not direct corporate control.

Market And Shareholder Reaction

Stock and crypto watchers reacted quickly. Some traders bid the shares and Dogecoin higher on the news, while others eyed the deal skeptically.

Analysts pointed out that buying more miners does not guarantee profit if Dogecoin’s network conditions change or energy costs spike. Shareholders will look closely at the details of the loan, any future dilution, and the timeline for full integration of DogeHash into Thumzup.

Ethereum Faces Validator Bottleneck With 2.5M ETH Awaiting Exit

by admin September 16, 2025

Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system is facing its largest test yet. As of mid-September, roughly 2.5 million ETH — valued at roughly $11.25 billion — is waiting to leave the validator set, according to validator queue dashboards.

The backlog pushed exit wait times to more than 46 days on Monday, the longest in Ethereum’s short staking history, dashboards show. The last peak, in August, put the exit queue at 18 days.

The initial spark came on Sept. 9, when Kiln, a large infrastructure provider, chose to exit all of its validators as a safety precaution. The move, triggered by recent security incidents including the NPM supply-chain attack and the SwissBorg breach, pushed around 1.6 million ETH into the queue at once. Though unrelated to Ethereum’s staking protocol itself, the hacks rattled confidence enough for Kiln to hit pause, highlighting how events in the broader crypto ecosystem can cascade into Ethereum’s validator dynamics.

In a blog post from staking provider Figment, Senior Analyst Benjamin Thalman noted that the current exit queue build up isn’t only about security. After ETH has rallied more than 160% since April, some stakers are simply taking profits. Others, especially institutional players, are shifting their portfolios exposure.

At the same time, validators entering the Ethereum staking ecosystem have been steadily rising. The SEC’s May statement clarifying that staking is not a security has renewed interests in staking. Anticipation of ETH ETF approvals is another driver, as funds prepare for regulated ways to capture staking yield, Thalman noted.

Ethereum’s churn limit, which is a protocol safeguard that caps how many validators can enter or exit over a certain time period, is currently capped at 256 ETH per epoch (about 6.4 minutes), restricting how quickly validators can join or leave the network, and is meant to keep the network stable.

With more than 2.5M ETH lined up, stakers on Wednesday face 44 days before even reaching the cooldown step.

Thalman believes that much of the ETH existing will simply be restaked under new validators, meaning that if even 75% of the current queue is re-deposited, nearly 2 million ETH will flood the activation queue, bringing delays for new ETH staking, and a backlog on both sides of the validator queue.

“The activation queue is currently 13 days, to this add the ~2M ETH from those currently exiting (35 days) and 4.7M from ETFs (81 days), and the total is 129 days. This assumes that there are no other ETH holders that choose to stake and enter the queue, like corporate treasuries,” Thalman wrote in the blog.

The swelling queue underscores a paradox: Ethereum is working “as intended” Thalman notes, and the demand to both exit and re-enter highlights staking’s central role in the ecosystem. The network is thus experiencing the growing pains of a maturing, institutionalized system where infrastructure scares, profit cycles, and regulatory shifts all collide in real time.

Crypto Trader Boosts MEXC Bounty to $2.5M Over KYC Demand

by admin August 28, 2025

A crypto trader, White Whale, has escalated his multimillion-dollar social media campaign against MEXC, raising the bounty to $2.5 million. He stated that the exchanges act like they have all the power, deciding everything without fairness, like a judge, jury, and executioner.

On X, he stated that the fact that many exchanges are located in distant countries makes it nearly impossible for users to pursue legal action against them. This imbalance allows them to act unchecked, resembling bullies. The trader also stated that he is adding $250,000 to the community reward pool for people participating in his campaign against MEXC. He shared that another $250,000 will be donated to verified charities with transparent receipts.

MEXC Freezes $3.1M in Trader Funds Without Clear Reason

On August 24, the trader posted on X that the exchange had frozen $3.1 million of traders’ funds in July 2025. MEXC didn’t provide a clear reason for the freeze, despite the trader claiming that he followed all their rules, which included identity checks with video and proof of address.

To fight back, on August 25, 2025, White Whale started a $2 million social media campaign on X to push MEXC to release his funds. The campaign asks people to create a free NFT on the Base network, post on X with the hashtag “#FreeTheWhiteWhale,” and tag MEXC or its chief operating officer.

He also announced that if his money is unfrozen, the first 20,000 people who join the campaign and hold the NFT will equally share a $1 million USDC reward. On August 26, the trader shared that MEXC had reportedly asked him to travel to Malaysia for an in-person meeting to verify his identity and expedite the unlocking of his funds.

However, he refused, calling it risky and unnecessary, especially since crypto-related kidnappings are a concern. An hour after that post, he raised the campaign’s “bounty” to $2.5 million to keep the pressure on MEXC.

The trader shared that MEXC’s rules don’t mention needing an in-person meeting. Earlier in 2025, MEXC had stated that it freezes accounts only for serious reasons like market manipulation or fraudulent trading, not because someone is making profits. The firm claimed that most users get their accounts back after verification.

In an exclusive statement given to The Crypto Times, MEXC said, “Our priority is to ensure that all procedures, including KYC and risk control compliance review, are transparent, standardized, and aligned with global regulations. All user procedures are governed by clear and transparent policies, and any official communication from MEXC will always align with these standards.”

Further, the exchange said that it focuses on keeping users’ money safe, being open, and ensuring fair practices. They have shared more public reports about how they handle rule-breaking, prevent fraud, and improve security.

MEXC Faces Scrutiny as User Reports $2M Tether Freeze

White Whale is not the only one facing issues. In April 2025, another user, Pablo Ruiz, said MEXC froze his $2 million in Tether (USDT) without explanation, citing a “risk control” protocol.

He got automated messages saying his account would be locked until April 2026. Ruiz also shared an email from MEXC saying the review was done, but their support team claimed it was still ongoing, which he called confusing and lacking transparency.
