XRP Breakout Delayed? Bollinger Bands Tease Next Move

by admin August 29, 2025

XRP is witnessing a delayed breakout move as the price dips by over 5% in the last 24 hours. Activities on the XRP marketplace suggest lingering selling pressure might be responsible for keeping XRP down. However, a technical indicator shows a breakout remains possible.

XRP’s support at $2.83 remains critical for bulls

According to data, XRP’s Bollinger Bands on the three-hour chart are showing huge dilation. This accounts for the intense volatility that the asset is experiencing on the market.

A close analysis of this technical indicator shows that prices have already hit the lower Bollinger Bands at $2.85.

This development suggests that despite the delays, a breakout is on the horizon. Once XRP can overcome this volatility and find stability, prices are likely to regain the $3 level at around $3.08.

The decline was triggered as traders exited positions after the coin plunged below $3. There appears to be an air of uncertainty among investors in the broader financial space, resulting in cautious trading.

The coin slipped from an intraday high of $3.02, breaching the psychological $3 level to its current position.

As of press time, XRP is changing hands at $2.83, which represents a 5.68% decline in the last 24 hours. However, trading volume remains up by 8.64% at $7.59 billion within the same time frame.

Long-term outlook points to eventual breakout

As previously reported by U.Today, the current $2.83 price level remains a critical spot for the coin. The support was where bulls stepped in to prevent further decline in the past. The asset’s upward journey in the event of a breakout will have to overcome the $3.10 resistance level.

Meanwhile, Raoul Pal, Global Macro Investor chief executive, believes XRP is in long-term consolidation and would break out soon.

How soon this will be for an asset that has shown resilience in recent times is what investors have to wait and find out.

Pudgy Penguins Game ‘Pudgy Party’ Launches on iOS and Android

by admin August 29, 2025

In brief

  • Pudgy Penguins and Mythical Games collaborated to develop Pudgy Party, a new Web3 mobile game.
  • The game falls in the party genre, offering fast-paced mini-games for players similar to Fall Guys or Stumble Guys.
  • Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz has high expectations, aiming for tens of millions of downloads.

Ethereum NFT brand Pudgy Penguins and game developer Mythical Games announced the global launch of Pudgy Party, a mobile party game that’s now available on Android and iOS.

Pudgy Party draws comparisons to popular games like Fall Guys and Stumble Guys—colorful riffs on the battle royale genre in which players race through wild obstacle courses and persist through survival challenges.

And this time around, it has a Web3 twist.

“We took our own interpretation of that genre,” Mythical Games CEO John Linden told Decrypt. “We thought it was the right focus for not only the brand, but the gameplay—something the community can really get behind.”

It’s almost time to crash the Pudgy Party 🐧

In Pudgy Party, users will step into a game filled with Pudgy Penguins characters, which have made an impact across social media and via retail products like plush toys. And players will automatically enroll in Web3 gaming in the process, even if they don’t realize it.

“Every player that comes in, they’re automatically onboarded into a wallet,” Linden said.

“They have a wallet, but most of them won’t even know about it,” he said of the onboarding experience, which is designed to encourage “getting in and playing.” The game integrates blockchain via the Mythos Chain, a network built on the Polkadot blockchain, in the background.

“The Web3 stuff is kind of just seamlessly behind it,” he added, “You’re suddenly getting assets and you’re leveling them up, and you can change them and you can burn them for other things. All that’s fairly hidden from the user initially.”

Users will be able to collect outfits, emotes, and other in-game assets, as well as costumes that can be minted as NFTs and later traded via the marketplace.

The game will launch with its first seasonal event, “Dopameme Rush,” a brainrot-themed event featuring popular internet memes. Seasons will run monthly and come with free and premium passes, as well as special events and leaderboard competitions.

After taking a once-declining brand to the shelves of Walmart and Target, Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz has set the bar high for the upcoming game launch.

“It has to have, at a minimum, tens of millions of players and downloads,” he told Decrypt. “My hope is we can actually push and make this a top app on the App Store, period.”

Netz expects that Pudgy Party will make a massive push beyond the crypto bubble, and become the first Pudgy franchise product.

“I think you’re going to see some of the world’s biggest streamers streaming Pudgy Party. I think you’re going to see epic IRL events, huge campaigns, and tournaments and prize pools to bring people in,” he said, adding that thinks it will be the “biggest Web3 game that we’ve ever had.”

Mythical Games has already built some of Web3’s most prominent games with its FIFA Rivals and NFL Rivals, which have collectively amassed millions of mobile downloads. It hopes to build something similar with the Pudgy Penguins.

“We’re after building a forever franchise with Luca,” Linden said. “We want to help them take this into the gaming world and have something that can be around and played by literally hundreds of millions of people over a period of time.”

Ether (ETH) May Outperform Bitcoin (BTC) If PCE Inflation Report Is Soft: Crypto Daybook Americas

by admin August 29, 2025

Crypto Daybook Americas will not be published on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday. It will return on Tuesday.

By Omkar Godbole (All times ET unless indicated otherwise)

Bitcoin BTC$110,163.05 has dropped nearly 3% to $109,800 in the past 24 hours, pulling the broader market, including ether (ETH), down with it. But those losses are nothing out of the ordinary, meaning major tokens are trading near recent valuations.

What’s new today is that BTC’s volatility is bouncing from recent multiyear lows (See Chart of the Day). The 30-day implied volatility, as represented by Volmex’s BVIV and Deribit’s DVOL indices, has surged above the 100-day simple moving average for the first time since mid-June. Perhaps the price turbulence that some traders predicted for August may unfold in September.

The increase could be noteworthy for stock traders as an early indicator of a potential uptick in Wall Street’s VIX. The VIX is inversely correlated with stocks, suggesting there’s of a rough day ahead on Wall Street, a possibility underlined by fiat liquidity dynamics.

“Market liquidity pressures are mounting as reserve balances decline and large Treasury settlements approach, leaving equities vulnerable despite lower volatility,” Michael Kramer, the founder of Mott Capital Management, wrote in the latest edition of the firm’s markets update.

One piece of data to keep an eye on is the U.S. core PCE release, due later today.

“This PCE release will shape the Fed’s future easing path rather than the September decision itself,” analysts from crypto exchange Bitunix wrote in an email. “If data comes in at or below expectations, risk sentiment can hold; but if significantly hotter, the Fed’s forward guidance may shift toward a ‘one-and-wait’ stance. Investors should focus on core services and wage trends, alongside U.S. Treasury yields and the DXY as key drivers of risk appetite.”

In the event of a soft CPI, ether may outperform because traders have been increasingly focusing on Ethereum’s native token. That’s evident from the ETF flows. This week, the U.S.-listed ETH ETFs have registered a net inflow of over $1 billion, SoSoValue data show. That’s close to double the $567 million entering the bitcoin ETFs.

In traditional markets, the spread between the U.S. 10- and two-year Treasury yields has risen to the highest since September 2022. The so-called curve steepening supports the bullish case in gold and bitcoin. Stay alert!

Token Talk

By Shaurya Malwa

  • Solana (SOL) posted a 44% drop in second-quarter application revenue, sliding to to $576.4 million from $1 billion in the first quarter even as its DeFi sector expanded, according to Messari.
  • The downturn reflects weaker profitability across key decentralized apps. Pump.fun (PUMP) still led with $156.9 million, but was still down 44% as memecoin frenzy cooled.
  • Axiom was the outlier, surging 641% to $126.6 million, showing how fast protocol-specific growth can offset broader ecosystem weakness. Jupiter JUP$0.5124 earned $66.4 million (–16%), while Phantom and Photon were hit hardest with declines of 65% and 72%, respectively.
  • Despite revenue losses, DeFi TVL on Solana climbed 30% to $8.6 billion in the quarter and has since crossed $11 billion, cementing the chain as the largest DeFi network behind Ethereum.
  • Kamino Finance drove TVL growth, up 34% to $2.1 billion after introducing Kamino Lend V2, which attracted $200 million in deposits and $80 million in loans within three weeks. Kamino now controls 25% of Solana’s market share.
  • Raydium staged a strong comeback, rising 54% to $1.8 billion in TVL, reclaiming second place from Jupiter. It now commands 21% share versus Jupiter’s 19%.
  • Trading activity, however, told a different story: Average daily spot DEX volume fell 45% to $2.5 billion, reflecting a fading of the memecoin momentum that had fueled the previous quarter’s records.

Derivatives Positioning

  • Open interest (OI) in futures tied to the top 20 coins, excluding SOL, has decreased in the past 24 hours, indicating broad-based capital outflows.
  • SOL’s open interest, however, hit a record high 63.84 million, alongside a rally in the token’s price to $217, a level last seen in February.
  • The eight-hour funding rates for ether, tron and BNB flipped slightly negative, indicating a bias for bearish bets on a drop in prices. Funding rates for other major tokens were steady at around zero, indicating neutral sentiment.
  • OI in the CME bitcoin futures slipped to 135.72K BTC, the lowest since April, while ether OI remained elevated at record highs near 2.10 million ETH. The divergence suggests a continued preference among investors for ETH over BTC.
  • On Deribit, downside bias in BTC options has strengthened across all tenors, with puts trading at a five volatility premium to calls at the front end. ETH options display similar dynamics, marking a shift from bullish positioning early this week.
  • On Paradigm, block flows featured call selling and put rolling strategies in BTC and ETH. Market maker Wintermute pointed to demand for call spreads in the December expiry BTC options.

  • Volmex’s BVIV index, which represents bitcoin’s 30-day implied volatility, has risen above the 100-day simple moving average for the first time since April.

Strategy’s Saylor Talks About Future Amid Bitcoin Bloodbath

by admin August 29, 2025

Michael Saylor picked a rough day to talk about the future. While Bitcoin was experiencing a slump and tons of leveraged bets were being wiped out, the Strategy chairman dropped a post with a dystopian cityscape and the caption “The Future is Orange.”

This message of long-term conviction is happening in the middle of one of the messiest periods Bitcoin has had in weeks.

You Might Also Like

Just in the last day, over $410 million in positions were liquidated across exchanges, and most of the damage was from longs. Around $350 million in bullish bets were erased as Bitcoin plunged to $109,000.

Even in the four-hour period leading up to the drop, around $200 million in longs were liquidated, showing how crowded the upside trade had become after the run toward $123,000 earlier this month.

Derivatives data shows the scale. Open interest fell to about $80 billion, but the long-to-short ratios on Binance and OKX remained high, showing many stayed long into the fall. Yet, open interest dropped more than 20%, suggesting contracts were closed instead of new positions. On paper, it looks like a market that went too far and then hit a wall.

Saylor not bothered

For Saylor, this does not matter as much as it does for short-term speculators. Strategy holds over 200,000 BTC, and his feed rarely changes tone no matter what the chart is doing.

You Might Also Like

The post, which depicts a man walking alone through an orange haze toward a futuristic vehicle, reads as a statement of faith: volatility is temporary, conviction is permanent. Whether the market agrees is another question, as Bitcoin is just above $109,000 with liquidation risk still high.

Tether Prepares to Launch USDT on Bitcoin – Is Bitcoin Hyper the Next Crypto to Explode?

August 29, 2025 • 10:00 UTC

Tether has confirmed plans to launch $USDT natively on Bitcoin through the RGB protocol, a move that could reshape how the network is used.

Users will soon be able to hold $BTC and $USDT in the same wallet, signalling a shift from Bitcoin as a passive store of value to a platform with broader utility.

While the Bitcoin-native stable coin product is exciting, Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) is already advancing with research into roll-up settlement models for Bitcoin Layer 1. Its token presale is nearing $13M, showing growing demand for projects that turn Bitcoin into more than just digital gold.

What exactly is Bitcoin Hyper, and why is it predicted to be the next crypto to explode?

Solana Breaks Through 6-Month High at $215, Potential Rally Coming? Here’s Why Snorter Token Is a Smart Buy Now

August 29, 2025 • 10:00 UTC

Solana pushed through the $215 level, achieving a 6-month high since February 4. It also got back in top spot among other DEXs in the 24-hour volume ranking.

Source: DefiLlama

Reasons for this pump include the new Alpenglow upgrade, which aims to achieve sub-second transaction speed, and the recent explosion of Solana treasuries.

Traders are already expecting a rally for $SOL, especially if current momentum holds. Ali on X expects a $300 target soon.

This is all extremely bullish for crypto, and the next crypto to explode might come from where you least expect it – presales. Snorter Token ($SNORT) plans to build a Telegram trading bot for Solana and Ethereum – the lowest fees around (0.85%), automatic token sniping, and anti-rugpull protections.

The presale has raised over $3.5M, with the token priced at $0.1027.

The future depends on the AI: Centralized vs decentralized

by admin August 29, 2025

Disclosure: The views and opinions expressed here belong solely to the author and do not represent the views and opinions of crypto.news’ editorial.

AI could be the latest technology to create a surplus of resources that allows Western civilization to thrive after a period of decline and stagnation. Society has become a rigid structure controlled by elites who try to control the system to maintain their privileged status, only to exacerbate the inequalities.

Summary

  • Centralization breeds stagnation: Financial elites, monopolies, and militarized corporatism have fueled inequality, wars, and societal decay since the 20th century.
  • AI as renewal: If decentralized, AI could trigger a new Renaissance—expanding access to knowledge, empowering startups, and redistributing resources globally.
  • AI as a threat: Concentration of AI in tech monopolies or authoritarian states risks deeper inequality, surveillance, and even totalitarian control.
  • The choice is clear: Humanity must resist monopolistic capitalism, enforce ethics and antitrust, and prevent AI from being a weapon of propaganda or war.
  • Path forward: Open-source and decentralized AI — built on blockchain, edge computing, and distributed networks — offers the best shot at inclusive growth and societal renewal.

The centralization of society under a system of financial elites has resulted in slowed growth, resource hoarding, and societal friction, causing wars, class conflicts, and mass irrationality.

Western civilization seems to be stuck in a conflict that only seems to be getting worse. This trend perhaps dates back as far as World War I. Corporatism, the military-industrial complex, monopolistic capitalism, and global tensions are symptoms of this centralization and stagnation.

Perhaps AI is a technology that could help renew expansion, but to do so, it will have to not worsen the existing inequality. To do so, AI will have to be decentralized away from tech behemoths, and it will have to have a decentralizing effect on society’s resource distribution.

AI could be a positive new mechanism for expansion, which fosters growth. And while this new technology could decentralize power, it could also centralize power, leading to increased stagnation and conflict.

AI’s decentralizing promise: A new Renaissance

AI democratizes knowledge and could help Western civilization enter a new Renaissance period. The question is: Does AI ultimately centralize or decentralize power? If it empowers individuals, small entities, and diverse groups, it would reduce barriers for those lacking resources and usher in an era of creativity, allowing, for instance, startup entrepreneurs to compete with Silicon Valley.

Large Language Models are a new way of doing things, allowing anyone with internet access to create ideas, code, create art, or analyze that which once required intensive resources. Surplus computational power is being used to innovate and grow collective knowledge, as well as increase economic output. These open-source AI frameworks are beginning to empower startups in developing countries to compete with giants, leading to the expansion of geographical and economic frontiers.

And although much of the discussion revolves around the fear of an AI dystopia, AI could instead redistribute power away from centers of power, like Silicon Valley and governments, to benefit other areas of society.

This advent could lead to the growth of innovative sectors and increase employment, reduce inequality with personalized education and healthcare, and increase entrepreneurial activity.

The centralizing threat: Power in the hands of a few

On the other hand, AI could increasingly centralize power in existing systems. It is currently controlled by tech monopolies or authoritarian governments, such as the CCP in China, which, if not tempered, would not help society. Innovation would stall, inequalities would get worse, and tensions would lead to widespread war. If tech monopolies hoard the best of AI innovation for themselves, such as more powerful models than are available to the public, the same result would come to pass.

The question begs itself: Will vested interests resist open AI innovation? Will they continue down the path of monopolistic capitalism, or will they foster free markets? If they choose monopoly capitalism over decentralization of free markets, then the result will be worsened class struggles, mass unemployment, and an even greater gap between the elite and the working class. Our age of irrationality will continue, as will social unrest — a continuation of what we’re seeing today.

AI could be used as a tool of propaganda, the likes of which the world has never seen before. It could be used as a tool of ubiquitous surveillance, predictive policing, and control of information. AI could give the state-enterprise even more power than it had before. It could create a one-world government in which a totalitarian state unifies the world under its boot, while eradicating diversity. Further moral decline would ensue — stagnation, conflict, and later, war.

Autonomous weapons and cyber warfare would be unleashed on the world. Proxy conflicts and economic blockades would be managed by machine overlords, who show no mercy. The digital divide would be insurmountable.

This does not have to be humanity’s fate. Humans have free will to influence the future of AI. Ethics frameworks and antitrust measures could be used as tools against centralization and AI dystopia, safeguarding the future of decentralization and renewal. Rather than being complacent, we must foster the decentralization of this powerful technology, emphasizing privacy, robustness, and access, as well as distributed AI resources and processing.

Perhaps, the most direct way to do this is via open-source and decentralized AI networks, such as those employing blockchain technology or edge computing on personal devices.  Open-source AI could foster collaboration and help reorganize society into an age of growth, rescuing it from its current path of decay.

The future hangs in the balance.

21Shares Seeks Launch of SEI ETF With Potential Staking Yield for US Investors

by admin August 29, 2025

In brief

  • 21Shares filed with the SEC for the first SEI ETF tracking the Sei blockchain token with potential staking rewards for additional yield.
  • The application joins a set of altcoin ETF filings as fund managers target smaller digital assets beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum.
  • Canary Capital filed a similar SEI ETF application in May.

Asset management firm 21Shares has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to launch an exchange-traded fund tracking the Sei blockchain’s native token.

The proposed 21Shares SEI ETF would offer investors exposure to SEI while providing the potential for additional yield through staking rewards, according to a registration statement filed Thursday.

Following successful launches of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in 2024, fund managers are targeting smaller digital assets, including Solana, Dogecoin, XRP, and other altcoins under a crypto-friendly Trump administration.

The Trust’s primary objective is “to seek to track the performance of SEI,” with a secondary focus on generating “rewards from staking a portion of the Trust’s SEI,” the filing reads.

It’s “highly likely that 21Shares’ SEI ETF would be accepted and would be available along with Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs,” Krishnendu Chatterjee, CEO and co-founder of A2ZCryptoInvestment, told Decrypt.

“21Shares SEI ETF is a step towards broader application towards regulated alt investment (including staking benefits),” he added.

Still, 21Shares confirmed it has not yet concluded that staking can be offered under a public trust structure, according to the prospectus.

The Trust will use Coinbase Custody Trust Company as its primary custodian for SEI holdings, while Coinbase Inc. will serve as the prime broker for trading activities, according to the filing.

The move adds to Canary Capital’s filing of the first SEI ETF application in May, which also shares similar staking objectives.

Multiple crypto ETF applications are now in play and face SEC decision deadlines in October, with regulators extending review periods for spot XRP funds from several issuers and Solana ETF proposals, among others.

Industry experts widely expect a batch of approvals beginning in October based on established listing standards.

“Along with Digital Asset Treasury Companies, ETFs provide exposure to a new asset class for institutions, and it is not an exception but would become a new normal,” Chatterjee said, noting “XRP, Solana, and AVAX ETFs have high chances of getting approved by year’s end, even if not by October.”

SEI currently ranks as the 74th largest crypto by market capitalization at approximately $1.82 billion.

The token is trading around $0.30 following recent gains, according to CoinGecko, though it remains about 73.7% below its March 2024 all-time high of $1.14.

‘Short Strangle’ Preferred as Market Signals Near-Term Calm, Analyst Says

by admin August 29, 2025

Bitcoin BTC$111,292.90 defied expectations for significant volatility in August, trading within a range. As market dynamics indicate a continued low-volatility regime in the near term, 10x Research highlights the “short strangle” as an ideal play.

“Given the current dynamics in the bitcoin options market, a short strangle looks well-suited for the next month. With bitcoin trading around $113,000 and an expected range between $95,000 and $125,000, selling an out-of-the-money [September expiry] put near $95,000 alongside an out-of-the-money [September expiry] call near $125,000 provides an opportunity to capture premium,” Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research, said in a report to clients Thursday.

Short strangle involves a simultaneous writing (selling) of out-of-the-money higher strike calls and OTM lower strike puts with the same expiry, positioned equidistant from the underlying asset’s spot price.

The strategy is similar to selling insurance against both bullish and bearish moves in exchange for a premium, which represents the maximum profit achievable if the spot price remains between the two strike prices – $95,000 and $125,000 in this case.

Selling options (or strangles) is a common strategy when implied volatility (IV) exceeds realized volatility, as this allows traders to capture richer premiums, and the market is expected to remain relatively stable.

“The strategy works because the implied volatility curve is trading above realized levels, signaling options are overpriced, and the market is unlikely to deliver large moves outside your defined range in the short run,” Thielen noted. “The options implied volatility term structure indicates near-term calm.”

The implied volatility (IV) term structure is a graphical representation showing how volatility is expected to evolve across different future time horizons. It is typically upward sloping, reflecting increasing uncertainty and risk as the time to expiration lengthens.

Risk-reward profile

BTC needs to continue trading between $95,000 and $125,000 for the suggested strategy to generate profits. The rangebound trading will reduce the demand for OTM calls and puts, thereby draining premium from these options and generating a profit for strangle sellers.

Thielen’s previous recommendation from early August was also a short strangle, involving a $105,000 put and a $130,000 call. This strategy generated a yield of 3.5%.

Note, however, that short strangles carry significant risks, particularly in the event of a sudden spike in volatility, which can lead to substantial losses. Therefore, traders must continuously monitor the position and relevant market variables to manage risk effectively.

191,857,258,199 SHIB out of Coinbase as New Shiba Inu Meme Coin Bull Is Born

by admin August 29, 2025

A big-time Coinbase investor has been buying up a ton of Shiba Inu (SHIB) over the past couple of days, raking in a total of 191.857 billion. This has bumped up their holdings to a whopping $2.43 million.

The wallet got four separate transfers directly from Coinbase’s hot wallet, making it one of the biggest accumulations on record recently.

Data from Arkham shows inflows of SHIB in amounts of 22.47 billion, 38.39 billion, 102.59 billion and 28.39 billion, with the largest single purchase being about $1.28 million. A total of $2.4 million in SHIB was withdrawn from the leading U.S. crypto exchange and parked in a single address, with no outflows.

SHIB is trading at around $0.000013, up +0.88% on the day. On the three-day chart, the token is boxed between $0.00001159 and $0.00001689. A break above resistance may reach $0.00002025, while slipping below support may pull back to the $0.000010 range.

What does it all mean for Shiba Inu coin?

This whale’s been super active lately, which is unusual because most of the other flows have been smaller and more fragmented. Moving almost 192 billion SHIB from a major exchange wallet into a single address suggests that it is being accumulated and is not just a short-term investment.

Now that the address has its whole $2.4 million portfolio in SHIB, the whale’s moves really stand out against a market where liquidity is thin and inflows are limited. Whether this concentration is a good sign or a bad one depends on how SHIB reacts around its line of support in the coming days.

Chainlink, US DOC Join To Bring Macroeconomic Data On-Chain

by admin August 29, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Chainlink and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced their collaboration to deliver key government macroeconomic data on-chain, aiming to improve transparency and unlock new use cases for blockchain markets.

Chainlink Brings Economic Data On-Chain

On Thursday, the US Department of Commerce and decentralized oracle provider Chainlink unveiled that they had partnered to bring crucial macroeconomic data on-chain from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).

The new Chainlink Data Feeds aim to deliver critical information around key US economic data points, including Real Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers.

Data on the level and percentage change of Real GDP, PCE Price Index, and Real Final Sales to Private Domestic Purchasers are now available on-chain for consumption. This data will be updated monthly or quarterly as applicable.

Additionally, the data will be available across ten blockchain ecosystems initially, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Botanix, Ethereum, Linea, Mantle, Optimism, Sonic, and ZKsync.

The announcement highlighted that bringing the US government data on-chain “unlocks innovative use cases for blockchain markets,” like automated trading strategies, increased composability of tokenized assets, the issuance of new types of digital assets, real-time prediction markets for crowdsourced intelligence, transparent dashboards powered by immutable data, and DeFi protocol risk management based on macroeconomic factors.

“As the industry-standard oracle platform, Chainlink supports one of the largest ecosystems in Web3, leveraging secure data oracles to build advanced onchain applications—making this work a natural step forward in expanding the scope of trusted data available onchain,” Chainlink wrote.

Earlier this week, US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick revealed that the DOC “is going to start issuing its statistics on the blockchain,” adding that the goal is to create a more open and accessible framework for global markets.

Lutnick shared his plan to bring Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on-chain for enhanced transparency and data distribution across US government departments.  He also highlighted that the initiative aligned with President Trump’s vision to make America the “crypto capital of the world.”

Institutional Adoption Of Blockchain Technology

This development follows the recent push to integrate blockchain technology into federal institutions. As reported by Bitcoinist, the US House of Representatives passed a bill in June to establish a Blockchain Deployment Program, aiming to develop best practices and explore the adoption of blockchain in multiple areas.

Introduced in February by Republican Representative Kat Cammack, HR 1664, also known as the Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2025, directs the US Secretary of Commerce to lead the national efforts, requiring him to serve as the President’s principal advisor for the deployment, use, application, and competitiveness of blockchain and other DLT, and take the actions necessary to support the US leadership in this sector.

The bill, co-sponsored by Democratic Representative Darren Soto, establishes that the Secretary of Commerce must encourage and improve coordination among Federal agencies for the deployment of these technologies to offer federal support.

It’s worth noting that Chainlink Labs has also met with several key US government officials and regulators to provide policy recommendations aimed at accelerating the growth of the blockchain industry.

Notably, their team had several meetings with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) staff to address core issues on broker-dealer and transfer agency compliance using public blockchain infrastructure.

Moreover, Chainlink’s founder, Sergey Nazarov, recently met with Tim Scott, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, to discuss the highly anticipated market structure bill and how it could enable the rapid growth of the blockchain industry in the US.
