Euro’s Death Spiral Makes Bitcoin The New Reserve: Arthur Hayes

by admin October 2, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Arthur Hayes centers Bitcoin as the primary beneficiary of what he calls an inevitable ECB money-printing cycle triggered by France’s worsening funding position, capital flight, and political stalemate.

In his Oct. 2, 2025 essay “Bastille Day,” Hayes argues that the developing fracture is not merely a euro story but a reserve-asset reshuffle that elevates BTC because it is a portable, bearer instrument outside the reach of Eurozone gatekeepers. “The slow-motion collapse of the French state is the signal that it’s time to sell euros and buy Bitcoin,” he writes, later distilling the trade into a binary: “Either the ECB presses the Brrr button now and implicitly finances the French welfare state, or it does it later when French capital controls threaten to destroy the euro. Either way, money gets printed in the trillions of euros.”

As France Breaks The Euro, Bitcoin Becomes The Escape

Hayes treats Bitcoin not as a speculative risk asset but as the neutral reserve standing opposite fiat debasement and capital controls. He frames the immediate hedge as operationally simple for Eurozone savers: “Bitcoin is the best way to preserve options… it is a digital bearer asset. In a few minutes, you can convert your euro bank balance into Bitcoin using a spot exchange on the continent. And voila, you are no longer Lagarde’s bitch.”

That prescription is the capstone to his analysis of France’s TARGET2 deficit and reliance on foreign creditors. With “59% of French OAT government bonds with maturity over one year” and “70% of French long-term bank debt” held abroad, he contends the financing base is fragile. If foreign holders are haircut or flee, he expects the ECB’s response to be large and fast: “If these assets get wiped out, the EU banking system is approaching insolvency on an unlevered basis. To save the EU banking system, the ECB would print EUR 5.02 trillion.”

The central mechanism that connects France’s stress to a BTC bid, in Hayes’s telling, is the acceleration of deposit migration across the euro area’s settlement rails. He points to the shift in national TARGET balances since 2020 to argue that “French savers increasingly do not believe that their euros are safe within the French banking system.”

Once that confidence is impaired, he says, the scramble for exits will narrow toward scarce, self-custodiable assets. “These euros effectively pump Bitcoin and gold as the only two hard assets any investor with a single neuron would purchase in this situation,” he writes, before returning to BTC as the cleanest expression of neutrality: “Bitcoin doesn’t care and will continue its inexorable rise versus the piece of trash that is the euro.”

Hayes pushes the Bitcoin-first framing through multiple contingencies. If the ECB withholds support to discipline Paris, he expects bank stress to worsen and capital to move faster, enriching the BTC bid. If the ECB capitulates early, he expects balance-sheet expansion to debase the unit of account, also enriching the BTC bid. “The ECB will valiantly print money to forestall the loss of its raison d’être,” he writes.

“It shall be a glorious day for the faithful as printed euros will combine with printed dollars, yuan, yen, etc to bid up the price of Bitcoin.” Even a hypothetical French exit and a weaker franc doesn’t alter the destination in his view; it merely shifts the channel through which policy redistributes losses. “Locals who still hold French financial assets still have time to get out… But when they come, you cannot withdraw much in the way of physical euro cash, or wire euros outside of the French banking system, or escape by buying Bitcoin and gold.”

To scope magnitude, Hayes offers directional estimates that emphasize speed rather than precision. He notes “domestic French banking deposits totaled EUR 2.6 tn” as of July 2025 and estimates “25% of this capital could leave within a few days… This amounts to EUR 650 bn.”

Applying the same heuristic to “$3.45 trillion” in equities and “$3.25 trillion” in government bonds, he argues that “hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars could quickly leave France and find a home in Bitcoin and gold if domestic capital gets spooked.” His caveat is explicit—“Of course, this is a shitty estimate”—but it serves the thesis that flow urgency, not fine-tuned arithmetic, is what matters for BTC’s upside convexity when fiat systems wobble.

The political overlay is instrumental to his Bitcoin call. Hayes portrays the ECB as prioritizing institutional control over currency stability, which, he says, paradoxically intensifies the need for an eventual rescue. “The ECB is so focused on control of Europe™ that it’s cutting off its nose to spite its face,” he writes, arguing that disciplining deficits while French funding frays accelerates deposit migration and forces larger printing later. He collapses that loop back to BTC with a refrain that runs through the essay: “Sell euros and buy Bitcoin.”

For readers outside Europe, Hayes’s guidance does not change with geography; the driver is money creation, not local banking architecture. “If you are not a denizen of Europe™ do not buy European financial assets under any circumstances. Instead, buy some Bitcoin, sit back and watch your sick gainz as printed euros contribute to the bull market in growth of the fiat money supply.” For those inside the bloc, the imperative is timing around potential restrictions: “There are no domestic capital controls yet,” he writes of France. “But when they come… your freedom to escape by buying Bitcoin… will wane rather than wax.”

At press time, BTC traded at $118,597.

Low-cap tokens eye bullish trend as a major crypto breaks descending wage

by admin October 2, 2025

Disclosure: This article does not represent investment advice. The content and materials featured on this page are for educational purposes only.

XRP breaks out, while XYZVerse raises $15m in presale as traders eye sports-driven memecoin gains.

Summary

  • XYZVerse merges sports fandom with crypto, raising $15m in its fast-moving presale.
  • With $15m raised, XYZVerse aims to be a sports-driven memecoin riding Uptober’s hype.
  • From $0.0001 to $0.0055, XYZVerse’s presale surge positions it as a memecoin to watch.

XRP is showing signs of renewed bullish momentum after weeks of consolidation, breaking out of a descending wedge pattern that had kept prices constrained. The move is catching trader attention not only for XRP itself but also for its potential to spark a broader rally across smaller-cap tokens.

XRP breaks free from wedge

Earlier this quarter, XRP failed to break above the $3.60 resistance zone, forcing price action into a falling wedge formation — a pattern defined by compressing lower highs converging against a flat base near $2.60.

Now, according to analyst JackTheRippler, XRP has broken out of this descending wedge, shifting technical sentiment to the bullish side.

Ripple effect on low-cap tokens?

Historically, XRP breakouts have often coincided with higher risk appetite across the crypto market. If XRP sustains its move above $3, low-cap tokens could follow suit, as traders rotate capital into more speculative plays after confidence builds in larger-cap assets.

The next sessions will determine whether XRP’s wedge breakout proves to be the start of a wider risk-on trend or just another short-lived rally capped by resistance.

XYZ taps into sports fandom as presale raises $15m ahead of launch

As XRP breaks out of a months-long descending wedge pattern, some traders are turning their eyes toward smaller-cap tokens that could ride the wave. XYZVerse (XYZ), a new memecoin project built around sports fandom has already pulled in $15 million in presale funds.

A sports-driven memecoin

XYZVerse blends crypto culture with the passion of football, basketball, MMA, and esports. Instead of chasing hype alone, the team has laid out a roadmap and community-driven strategy designed to give XYZ longer-term staying power. It’s pitching itself as a badge of honor for sports and crypto fans, rather than a speculative flash in the pan.

XYZ presale momentum

The token’s presale has been progressing quickly, with prices climbing stage by stage:

  • Launch price: $0.0001
  • Current presale: $0.0055
  • Next stage: $0.0056
  • Planned listing: $0.10

If XYZ launches at its target listing price, early presale participants could see returns in the triple-digit multiples. For now, demand remains strong, with the project reporting over $15 million raised.

Riding market sentiment

The timing could prove advantageous. With XRP breaking resistance near $3 and Bitcoin holding above $116k, the broader market mood — dubbed “Uptober” by crypto traders — has turned more optimistic. Historically, when large-cap coins recover, investors often rotate into riskier plays like memecoins.

Whether XYZ can hold onto its momentum after launch remains an open question. But with its presale oversubscribed and a sports-driven brand angle, it’s quickly become one of the low-cap tokens to watch if the market keeps trending bullish.

Conclusion

With XRP showing renewed strength after its descending wedge breakout, market risk appetite could spill into low-cap plays like XYZVerse. If momentum continues, XYZ may capture investor interest as both a sports-driven cultural project and a speculative opportunity in the meme coin niche.

The presale progress, combined with rising hype, positions XYZ as a project to watch in the coming weeks, especially if broader market sentiment turns fully bullish.

Avalanche Treasury Co. Coming With Foundation Support via $675 Million SPAC Deal

by admin October 2, 2025

In brief

  • Avalanche Treasury Co. is merging with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp. in a $675 million deal, targeting a Nasdaq listing in Q1 2026 with $460 million in treasury assets.
  • An exclusive Avalanche Foundation partnership includes a $200 million initial AVAX purchase at a discount, offering investors 23% savings versus direct purchases.
  • The firm’s goal is to amass $1 billion in AVAX and actively drive ecosystem growth through protocol investments and enterprise partnerships.

A new treasury company is spinning up with the goal of amassing a significant amount of Avalanche cryptocurrency, with support from the Avalanche Foundation.

Avalanche Treasury Co. has announced a definitive business combination agreement with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corp. (Nasdaq: MLAC), creating a publicly traded company focused on institutional AVAX exposure.

The transaction is valued at over $675 million and includes approximately $460 million in treasury assets, the companies said, with an expected Nasdaq listing for the combined company in Q1 2026.

Boasting an “exclusive relationship” with the Avalanche Foundation—the entity that supports development and adoption of the layer-1 Avalanche blockchain network—the treasury will debut with an initial $200 million AVAX token purchase at a discounted price, plus an 18-month priority on Avalanche Foundation token sales to U.S. treasury firms.

According to the firm, it will offer investors entry at 0.77x net asset value—a 23% discount compared to direct AVAX purchases or passive ETF alternatives.

The company’s strategy centers on three pillars: targeted protocol investments to drive adoption, partnership activation with enterprises building blockchain infrastructure for real-world assets and payments, and direct support for institutional Avalanche L1 network launches.

Avalanche Treasury Co. aims to accumulate over $1 billion worth of AVAX following its IPO. AVAT frames its mission as serving as a “growth engine” for the Avalanche ecosystem, actively deploying capital to accelerate network development rather than simply holding tokens passively.

The firm’s leadership includes CEO Bart Smith, a Wall Street veteran from Susquehanna International Group and AllianceBernstein, alongside COO Laine Litman and Chief Strategy Officer Budd White. Ava Labs founder Emin Gün Sirer will serve as strategic advisor, while Chief Business Officer John Nahas is joining the board.

Avalanche Treasury’s advisory board features prominent crypto figures including Haseeb Qureshi (Dragonfly Capital), Jason Yanowitz (Blockworks), and Stani Kulechov (Aave). The transaction has attracted investors including Dragonfly, ParaFi Capital, VanEck, Galaxy Digital, Pantera Capital, and Kraken, among others.

In September, Bitcoin miner AgriFORCE announced a pivot towards Avalanche with plans to raise approximately $550 million to start stockpiling AVAX. The firm’s stock spiked 200% soon after the announcement but has since shed much of those gains, with the stock showing a 48% gain over the past month.

AVAX is down about 1% on the day to $30.23 and trading roughly flat on the week, even as assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana post substantial gains.

What Wealth Managers Should Know About the Resurgence of the Institutional Loan Market

Crypto as Collateral: What Wealth Managers Should Know About the Resurgence of the Institutional Loan Market

Lending and borrowing have long been central to financial markets — and crypto is no exception. In fact, collateralized lending emerged in the digital asset space well before Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols gained prominence. The practice itself has deep historical roots: Lombard lending — using financial instruments as collateral for loans — dates back to medieval Europe, when Lombard merchants became renowned across the continent for extending credit secured by movable goods, precious metals, and eventually securities. By comparison, it has taken only a short time for this centuries-old model to conquer digital asset markets.

One reason lending against crypto collateral is so compelling is the unique liquidity profile of the asset class: top coins can be sold 24/7/365 in deep markets. The speculative nature of crypto also drives demand for leverage, while in some jurisdictions Lombard-style loans offer tax advantages by enabling liquidity generation without triggering taxable disposals. Another important use case is the behavior of bitcoin maximalists, who are often deeply attached to their BTC holdings and reluctant to reduce their overall stack. These long-term holders typically prefer borrowing at low loan-to-value ratios, with the expectation that bitcoin’s price will appreciate over time.

The History of the Collateralized Lending Market

The first informal bitcoin lenders appeared as early as 2013. But it was during the ICO boom of 2016-2017 that institutional-style players such as Genesis and BlockFi emerged. Despite the crypto winter of 2018, the centralized finance (CeFi) market expanded, with retail-focused firms like Celsius and Nexo joining the fray.

The rise of DeFi in 2020-2021 further supercharged lending. Both CeFi and DeFi platforms proliferated, competing aggressively for depositors. But as competition intensified, balance sheet quality deteriorated. Several major CeFi players operated with significant asset–liability mismatches, leaned heavily on their own governance tokens to bolster balance sheets, and relaxed underwriting standards, especially with regard to haircuts and LTVs (loan-to-value ratios).

The fragility became clear in the second quarter of 2022, when the collapses of the stablecoin TerraUSD (UST) and the hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC) triggered widespread losses. Prominent CeFi lenders — including Celsius, Voyager, Hodlnaut, Babel, and BlockFi — were unable to meet withdrawal demands and entered bankruptcy. Billions of dollars in customer assets were erased in the process. Regulatory and court-led post-mortems pointed to familiar failings: thin collateral, poor risk management, and opacity around inter-firm exposures. A 2023 examiner’s report on Celsius described a business that marketed itself as safe and transparent while in reality issuing large unsecured and under-collateralized loans, masking losses, and operating in what the examiner likened to a “Ponzi-like” fashion.

Since then, the market has undergone a reset. The surviving CeFi lenders have generally focused on strengthening risk management, enforcing stricter collateral requirements, and tightening policies around rehypothecation and inter-firm exposures. Even so, the sector remains a fraction of its former size, with loan volumes at roughly 40% of their 2021 peak. DeFi credit markets, by contrast, have staged a stronger comeback: on-chain transparency around rehypothecation, loan-to-value ratios, and credit terms has helped restore confidence more swiftly, pushing total value locked (TVL) back toward its 2021 record levels.(DefiLlama).

Source: Galaxy Research

Does CeFi have a role next to DeFi?

Crypto has always been driven by an ethos of on-chain transparency and decentralization. Yet CeFi is unlikely to disappear. Following the crisis, the space is more concentrated, with a handful of firms, such as Galaxy, FalconX, and Ledn, accounting for the majority of outstanding loans. Importantly, many institutional borrowers continue to prefer dealing with licensed, established financial counterparties. For these players, concerns around anti-money laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) exposure as well as regulatory risks, make direct borrowing from certain DeFi pools impractical or impermissible.

For these reasons, CeFi lending is expected to grow in the coming years — albeit at a slower pace than DeFi. The two markets are likely to evolve in parallel: DeFi providing transparency and composability, CeFi offering regulatory clarity and institutional comfort.

Ask an Expert

Q. How will Nasdaq’s integration of tokenized securities into the existing national market system and related investor protections benefit investors?

This step immediately brings three thoughts to mind — distribution, efficiency, and transparency. It’s a game-changer for everyday investors who aren’t engaging much in traditional finance. Blockchains are becoming more scalable each year, and I love the idea of efficient, composable Decentralized Finance (DeFi) use cases for tokenized securities. Plugging these assets into our industry means we’ll also see far more transparency compared to legacy systems.

Stats back this up — the global tokenized asset market is hitting around $30 billion this year, up from just $6 billion in 2022. This means broader distribution — imagine a small investor in rural America earning 5 to 7% yields on tokenized stocks without needing a broker’s blessing. Moving from traditional finance to DeFi, I’ve seen myself how blockchains can optimize while also being more transparent and inclusive. This isn’t just hype — it’s about helping more people build wealth through smarter, digitized tools that level the playing field.

Q. What are the challenges investors might face if the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves Nasdaq’s proposal to trade tokenized securities?

It’s not going to all be plain sailing. Firstly, there will be technical hurdles that need to be overcome, and these will affect timeframes as well as user experience for investors. Mixing blockchain infrastructure with legacy systems is not straightforward, and this will likely affect early adopters, as well as the initial prevalence of liquidity.

Early investors will also need clearer guidance on regulation. There’s a need for crystal-clear guidance on token rights, as investors may face issues related to events such as dividends or voting. When introducing new technologies, it is also essential to take security very seriously. Cyberattacks have spiked 25% year-over-year, and we’ve all seen the high-profile cases related to blockchains. Though you would assume this would be a priority for Nasdaq.

All of these issues are solvable as far as I’m concerned. So I’m not too worried.

Q. Nasdaq has mentioned Europe’s trading of tokenized stocks is “raising concerns” because investors can access tokenized U.S. equities without actual shares in companies. How will Nasdaq’s proposal to offer “the same material rights and privileges as do traditional securities of an equivalent class” benefit investors?

Here, we’re talking about benefits that include access to the same rights as traditional securities — voting, dividends, and equity stakes. In Europe, investors have been able to acquire securities without full rights, which I view as similar to holding an exclusive non-fungible token (NFT) without gaining the membership benefits it grants. Imagine owning a Cryptopunk but not having access to the PunkDAO and the venture opportunities available to holders.

Nasdaq is essentially trying to prevent investors from getting shortchanged. This is a major benefit because you are not just getting access to a more dynamic but limited version of the asset — you’re still getting all of the perks. When I think of the potential here, it’s exciting — imagine fully fledged stocks with 24/7 trading, lower fees, and significantly shorter settlement times.

How Shows Like South Park Influence Crypto

by admin October 2, 2025

“South Park” extended its running gag on cryptocurrency in a recent episode, taking aim at prediction markets, trading apps, US regulators and politicians tied to the industry.

Now in its 27th season, the animated series has built its reputation on unhinged satire of global events. Crypto has repeatedly taken some hits.

Not everyone enjoys being lampooned on TV shows — the White House recently condemned its depiction of President Donald Trump in a relationship with Satan — but earlier crypto references were often embraced within the industry as proof of mainstream recognition.

Here are five moments when digital assets crossed into pop culture.

Bitcoin is the future as NFTs become diseases in “South Park”

“South Park” season 27 episode 5 is centered around prediction markets. It features a parody of Fox News reporting on Kalshi and Polymarket bets: Will President Trump and Satan’s baby be a boy or a girl?

Previous episodes featuring Bitcoin (BTC) include the 2021 post-COVID special aired on Nov. 25, where it’s a mainstream currency — but also a Ponzi scheme.

Bitcoin dipped after Nov. 25, but that was likely due to the emergence of a new coronavirus variant rather than “South Park.” Source: CoinGecko

In December 2021, “South Park” mocked non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as a get-rich-quick craze. The special portrayed an adult Butters — who is a friend and classmate of the four main characters on the show — losing his mind over NFTs, with anyone who listened to him becoming infected and ranting about apes and overnight riches.

“The Simpsons” and “Big Bang Theory’s” Sheldon explains blockchain

In a February 2020 episode titled “Frinkcoin,” “The Simpsons” ran a segment explaining cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

The bit was narrated by Jim Parsons — best known for playing Sheldon on “The Big Bang Theory” — who broke down the basics of how cryptocurrencies work. It made waves in the crypto community because it skipped the satire and took an educational approach.

Over a year later, Bitcoin was featured in “The Simpsons” again. This time, the show predicted that BTC would rise to infinity.

Fortune didn’t favor Matt Damon’s Crypto.com ad

Hollywood actor Matt Damon starred in Crypto.com’s October 2021 commercial at the height of Bitcoin’s bull run, just weeks before the asset reached a then-record price.

“History is filled with almosts,” Damon declared. “With those who almost adventured, with those who almost achieved, but ultimately, for them, it proved to be too much.”

He then pointed to explorers and innovators as examples of human progress before concluding: “They calm their minds and steel their nerves with four simple words that have been whispered by the intrepid since the time of the Romans: fortune favors the brave.”

The camera then panned away from Damon, toward a cosmic backdrop with the Crypto.com logo. End of commercial.

Within weeks, Bitcoin hit a then-all-time high of about $69,000. But the following year brought notorious misfortune: the Terra collapse, cascading bankruptcies and a brutal bear market.

By February 2022, crypto was back in South Park’s crosshairs in a post-COVID hour special. “What does Matt Damon say in that Bitcoin commercial?” asked Eric Cartman, the show’s selfish instigator. “Fortune favors the brave!”

“My dad said he listened to Matt Damon and lost all his money,” another kid replied.

“Yes, everyone did,” Cartman said. “But they were brave in doing so.”

Crypto’s Super Bowl takeover

In 2022, the Super Bowl drew the attention of the entire crypto world, as several digital asset companies spent millions on high-profile commercials.

Crypto.com doubled down on its “fortune favors the brave” campaign with basketball legend LeBron James. Trading platform eToro promoted itself with both a commercial and a halftime bingo card minigame.

But Coinbase stole the show with a QR code bouncing around the screen. Viewers who scanned it enjoyed a $15 Bitcoin giveaway and sign-up promotion — a simple marketing campaign so popular it briefly crashed the app.

FTX’s commercial, starring comedian Larry David, aged far worse. In the ad, David dismissed transformative inventions throughout history, like the wheel and the fork. The final bit of ingenuity was FTX, which he again rejected.

“It’s a safe and easy way to get into crypto,” someone told him.

“Ehhh, I don’t think so. And I’m never wrong about this stuff,” Larry replied. “Never!”

Words then appeared across the scene: “Don’t Be Like Larry.”

By November 2022, FTX had collapsed into bankruptcy after it was revealed that it had commingled user assets. Founder Sam Bankman-Fried is now serving a 25-year prison sentence.

In a February 2024 interview, David admitted he regretted taking part in the commercial. He said he lost money after receiving part of his salary in crypto.

Elon Musk’s Dogecoin “hustle” on “SNL”

In 2021, Tesla CEO Elon Musk repeatedly tweeted about Dogecoin, each post sending the meme token higher.

Musk was sued in 2022 for allegedly manipulating Dogecoin’s price, but the suit was dropped in 2024. Source: Elon Musk/TradingView

Earlier that year, Tesla had disclosed a $1.5-billion Bitcoin purchase, giving the industry a major stamp of approval from one of the world’s richest executives.

The frenzy peaked with Musk’s “Saturday Night Live” appearance in May 2021, which pushed Dogecoin (DOGE) to an all-time high of $0.76 ahead of the broadcast.

But the episode backfired for investors as Musk called Dogecoin a “hustle” during a skit, and by September 2022, the token had lost roughly 75% of its value against Bitcoin.

BlackRock’s Bitcoin Premium Income ETF Heads To Nasdaq In SEC Filing

by admin October 2, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Nasdaq has filed paperwork with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to list the BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, a product designed to generate income by selling options on bitcoin-linked holdings.

The proposal was submitted on September 30, 2025, and the SEC has opened a comment period as part of its review.

Trust Holdings And Structure

According to the Nasdaq filing, the Trust will hold primarily bitcoin, shares of BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), cash, and the premiums earned from written options on IBIT or on indices that track spot bitcoin ETPs.

The product is described as an actively-managed exchange-traded product that the sponsor intends to be treated as a publicly-traded partnership for US federal tax purposes.

BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF filing. Source: Nasdaq

The filing also sets a minimum of 80,000 Shares required to be outstanding at commencement, and lists trading hours from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. BlackRock’s move follows a wider push by asset managers to offer income-style crypto products.

Reports have disclosed that the new ETF would collect premiums by writing covered calls, a strategy meant to produce regular distributions for investors who want yield rather than pure price exposure.

Source: BlackRock

Analysts quoted in market coverage say the approach limits upside in strong rallies but can smooth returns when bitcoin moves sideways or down.

How The Covered-Call Strategy Works

Covered calls are straightforward in concept but not without risk. The Trust would hold IBIT and bitcoin while selling call options against those holdings to collect premiums.

If the calls are exercised early, the filing says IBIT shares may be delivered out to the options clearer; certain OTC options would be cash-settled.

That mix of physical holdings and options income is intended to create a yield-focused product that behaves differently from a spot ETF.

BTCUSD trading at $118,601 on the 24-hour chart: TradingView

Market watchers note this is not BlackRock’s first bitcoin product. Based on reports, IBIT has already become a major vehicle for US investors since its launch, reaching large asset levels quickly and helping to normalize bitcoin exposure inside regulated funds.

That track record likely makes it easier for BlackRock to pitch a second, income-focused offering to both retail and institutional audiences.

Regulatory Steps

The next steps are procedural but important. The SEC’s notice solicits public comments and will consider whether the proposed listing satisfies Nasdaq’s Rule 5711(d) and investor-protection standards.

If the SEC requires changes — for example on disclosure around OTC options or daily NAV dissemination — Nasdaq and BlackRock would have to respond before trading can begin.

Swedish Lawmakers Propose National Bitcoin Reserve

by admin October 2, 2025

In brief

  • Two members of the Sweden Democrats have submitted a motion calling for a study into creating a national Bitcoin reserve.
  • Proponents said it could position Sweden for a “potentially disruptive shift in the global financial infrastructure.”
  • The U.S. and other nations have already explored or held strategic Bitcoin reserves.

Two members of the Sweden Democrats, the Riksdag’s right-leaning, second-largest party, have submitted a motion urging the government to examine whether Sweden should create a national Bitcoin reserve.

The motion, filed on Oct. 1 by Dennis Dioukarev and David Perez, calls for an investigation into how to build a strategic Bitcoin reserve and which authority is appropriate to manage it. It also proposes that the government confirm it does not intend to change the definition of legal tender or introduce a central bank digital currency.

The lawmakers argue that Bitcoin could serve as a complement to gold and foreign exchange reserves. They describe the cryptocurrency as “digital gold” with the potential to diversify state holdings and provide inflation protection.

“By building a strategic Bitcoin reserve, Sweden is positioning itself for a potentially disruptive shift in the global financial infrastructure,” the proposal stated.

National Bitcoin reserves around the world

Momentum for state-level Bitcoin reserves has grown internationally, particularly since March, when U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing a national Bitcoin reserve funded with confiscated assets.

While countries like Bhutan and El Salvador already held Bitcoin prior to this, the shift in U.S. policy has prompted a rethink of other nations around their approach to cryptocurrencies.

Several countries, such as the UK, China and Finland, have unofficial “reserves” of confiscated digital assets seized during criminal investigations, but politicians in countries like Poland and Latvia have also floated the idea of establishing strategic Bitcoin reserves.

Last week, Kazakhstan launched a state-backed crypto reserve containing BNB (BNB is the native token of the BNB Chain created by the exchange Binance, which signed an MOU with the Kazakh government in 2022).

At the U.S. state level, Texas, Arizona and New Hampshire have passed laws to create their own reserves.

The Swedish proposal comes as other lawmakers in Sweden have raised similar calls. Earlier this year, Dioukarev and another MP, Rickard Nordin, separately pressed Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson to reconsider Sweden’s cautious stance in light of Bitcoin’s growing role abroad.

Proponents in Sweden argue that adding Bitcoin to national reserves could reduce overall correlation among assets already in its reserve.

“Gold and foreign exchange reserves are traditional asset classes that are correlated with political, geopolitical and economic risks. In contrast, Bitcoin’s value is not driven by the monetary policies of individual states,” the motion noted—though Bitcoin does in fact follow general market trends.

Financial institutions have also weighed in. A recent paper from Deutsche Bank Research said central banks are reassessing their reserves amid inflation and geopolitical uncertainty. “While Bitcoin still faces many critics, it has increasingly become a household name,” the bank wrote, citing greater liquidity and institutional involvement.

But it warned that the asset remains volatile, vulnerable to fraud and relatively illiquid compared with gold.

The U.S. plan has also drawn criticism, with opponents arguing it could benefit political leaders personally and expose markets to instability.

In March, the late Democratic Congressman Gerry Connolly wrote that the reserve constituted “unsound fiscal policy” offering “no discernible benefit” to Americans. He added it acted merely as a “get rich quick scheme” for Trump.

BTC Mining Hits Toughest Level Yet While Hashprice Slides

by admin October 2, 2025

Bitcoin’s mining difficulty climbed 5% to a record 150.84 trillion on Wednesday, marking the seventh straight upward adjustment, according to Glassnode.

Difficulty, which resets every 2016 blocks (approximately every two weeks), measures how challenging it is for miners to find new blocks and maintains the average block time at around 10 minutes.

The increase reflects continued growth in the network’s hash rate, now above one zettahash at 1.05 ZH/s. A higher hash rate signals more machines competing to secure the network, boosting security while raising the bar for profitability.

That pressure is showing up in hashprice, miner revenue per unit of hashrate ,which has slipped under $50 per petahash per second, Luxor data shows.

The metric briefly touched $52 when bitcoin traded above $118,000 earlier this summer, but has since drifted lower as difficulty rose and prices softened.

For miner margins to improve, one of three levers would need to move: higher fees, which remain at multi-year lows, a rebound in bitcoin’s price, or a slowdown in network hash rate.

Despite record difficulty and falling hashprice, mining stocks have rallied alongside bitcoin’s surge above $118,500, with Cipher Mining (CIFR) up more than 51% over the past month, Bit Digital (BTBT) gaining 25%, and Marathon Digital (MARA) climbing nearly 16%

1,300,000,000 XRP in 8 Hours: Whales Going Crazy

by admin October 2, 2025

  • Massive rebalancing
  • XRP approaches overbought zone

Following a wave of whale transactions totaling more than 1.3 billion tokens in just eight hours, the XRP market is heating up, indicating an abrupt spike in institutional-scale activity. Whale Alert data reveals significant movements, including 700 million in XRP transfers between unidentified wallets being locked in escrow and two distinct 500 million XRP movements.

Massive rebalancing

Since liquidity infusions and whale rebalancing typically occur prior to price swings, such actions are frequently preludes to significant volatility on the cryptocurrency market.

XRP/USDT Chart by TradingView

After recently breaking several moving averages on the four-hour time frame, XRP is currently trading at about $2.98 on the charts. The short-term technical sentiment turned bullish as the token surged through the 50 EMA, 100 EMA and 200 EMA. The descending trendline that has served as a ceiling for weeks, located between $3.00 and $3.05, is the next significant resistance. If whales keep rotating or accumulating, a breakout above $3 might signal the start of a longer recovery period.

XRP approaches overbought zone

Volume has increased significantly during this move, indicating robust market participation as opposed to a bounce in low liquidity. With an RSI of 67, XRP appears to be approaching overbought territory, but there is still opportunity for it to rise before exhaustion levels are reached. The ability of the current whale-driven momentum to last into Uptober, which has historically been one of the most bullish months for the cryptocurrency market, will be closely monitored by traders.

The combination of technical breakout patterns, whale accumulation and new stablecoin liquidity presents a very erratic short-term picture for XRP. The combination of market structure and timing indicates that XRP may be about to regain $3.20 and higher, though some prudence is still advised, because strong whale movements can also indicate imminent distribution. At the moment, it is evident that whales are in charge of the game, and XRP’s ferocious eight-hour whale activity might be the catalyst for its next significant rally.

ChatGPT’s $360 Solana Price Prediction Fuels Best Solana Meme Coins like Snorter Token

by admin October 2, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Solana gained nearly 60% between August 3 and September 18, with 26% of that coming in just 10 days when the token blew past its long-term resistance around $220 in the second week of September.

That said, after creating a new swing high of $253, Solana quickly plummeted nearly 25% in the following week, leading many to believe the earlier rally was nothing more than a fakeout.

However, a strong run-up like Solana’s is almost always followed by a healthy pullback, which then sets the stage for further upside. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing now.

Read on for a crisp Solana price prediction. We’ve kept our technical analysis as objective as possible by calling in the big guns of AI – we asked ChatGPT for its expert take on where Solana could be headed next.

Plus, we’ll also tell you how you can make the most of this upcoming Solana rally. Spoiler alert: It’s by buying Snorter Token ($SNORT), aka the best Solana meme coin.

Solana’s Trendline Bounce Signals More Upside Ahead

ChatGPT pointed out that Solana’s recent pullback came exactly at a major upward-sloping trendline, which has recently been the single biggest factor pushing Solana prices higher.

For example, this very trendline fueled a 60% rally back in June-July and also supported Solana’s August run-up, which saw the token reach for the magic $250 mark.

Since touching this trendline, Solana has already bounced over 15% in the last week.

If previous moves from this trendline are anything to go by, Solana could easily reach $300, which also happens to be just above its all-time high.

What’s even better is that ChatGPT’s analysis has been confirmed by leading crypto analysts.

For instance, Ali Martinez, who goes by the username @ali_charts on X and has more than 158K followers, recently shared his Solana price prediction, suggesting the token ‘could now be ready for $320-$360.’

Why the Real 1000x Opportunity Lies Beyond Solana

Here’s the kicker now: while Solana can potentially double in the next few months, it’s still not the best crypto to buy right now, especially if you’re after those eye-popping gains.

Why? Because in crypto, the movement of a mainstream token like Solana often sends low-cap altcoins connected to it to the moon.

These cryptos usually start off under the radar and very low-priced, meaning even one chunky move can churn out thousands of percentage returns.

We saw this recently with tokens like $TUT and $TST, which rode BNB’s rally, and something similar could be brewing with Snorter Token ($SNORT).

Snorter Token Could Revolutionize the Meme Coin Trading Space

What is Snorter Token? $SNORT is the native cryptocurrency of the Snorter Bot – an advanced Telegram-based trading bot built to end the dominance of big-money players in the meme coin space.

Right now, deep-pocketed investors hold all the advantages: insider information, sophisticated algorithms, and premium tools that let them scoop up liquidity in new meme coins before everyday traders even get a chance.

As a result, retail participants are locked out of the most profitable stage of meme coin farming, aka those early entries where percentage returns are the highest.

Snorter flips the script. It allows you to set buy/sell limit/stop orders in advance. The moment liquidity kicks in for a token, the bot executes your orders automatically within milliseconds.

This levels the playing field, putting everyday traders on par with whale-sized investors.

Snorter Offers Unmatched Ease of Use and Security

Even though Snorter is designed to go toe-to-toe with advanced trading tools, don’t mistake it for a complicated platform. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.

Since it runs on Telegram, all you need to do to place buy/sell orders is send commands through a familiar chat interface.

Even if you’re new to Telegram, it’s as simple as sending messages on WhatsApp, making Snorter ideal even for beginners in meme coin trading.

On top of that, Snorter also offers copy trading. This lets you connect your wallet to a pro trader’s account, so every trade they make is automatically mirrored on your own account, without you lifting a finger.

While this is a handy feature, as it gives you insights into how professionals handle drawdowns, profit runs, and trade analysis, it’s important to choose a proven performer carefully.

More importantly, we strongly believe you should think of this feature as a learning tool rather than a free money-printing machine, which it is not.

Snorter also comes packed with essential safeguards to ensure a hassle-free trading experience.

You’ll be protected against all major on-chain threats, ranging from front-running and sandwich attacks to rug pulls and honeypots.

Could $SNORT Be the Next Crypto to Explode?

The meme coin market is now worth a whopping $73B, having expanded over 56% in just the last 12 months.

Naturally, a new cryptocurrency project that aims to restore parity and boost retail participation in this booming segment stands a strong chance of becoming the next 1000x crypto.

According to our Snorter Token price prediction, a $100 investment today could grow to $880 by the end of 2025, with the token potentially reaching $0.94.

Even better, if you hold on longer, you could be looking at a 1,700% ROI by the end of 2026, as $SNORT may climb to as high as $1.92.

Currently in presale, $SNORT has already raised over $4.2M from early investors, with each token available for just $0.1067.

Buying Snorter Token not only gives you front-row seats to the bot’s growth but also unlocks a powerful suite of exclusive perks, including:

  • Reduced trading fees of just 0.85% (vs. 1.5% for non-holders)
  • No daily sniping limits
  • Access to advanced analytics
  • Staking rewards currently yielding a massive 113%

Interested? Check out our step-by-step guide on how to buy Snorter Token.

Don’t just trade, outsmart the whales – join the Snorter revolution today.
