Volatility Widens as Price Holds $2.77 Support

by admin September 1, 2025

Token trades between $2.70–$2.84 in Aug. 31–Sept. 1 window, with whale accumulation countering heavy resistance at $2.82–$2.84.

News Background

  • XRP fell from $2.80 to $2.70 during late Aug. 31–early Sept. 1 before rebounding to $2.82 on heavy volumes.
  • Whales accumulated 340M XRP over two weeks, a signal of institutional conviction despite short-term bearish pressure.
  • On-chain activity spiked with 164M tokens traded during the Sept. 1 morning rebound, more than double session averages.
  • September remains a historically weak month for crypto, but whale accumulation is viewed as a counterbalance to retail liquidation flows.

Price Action Summary

  • Trading range spanned $0.14 (≈4.9%) between $2.70 low and $2.84 high.
  • The steepest decline came at 23:00 GMT on Aug. 31, as price slid from $2.80 to $2.77 on 76.87M volume, nearly 3x daily averages.
  • At 07:00 GMT Sept. 1, bullish flows drove a rebound from $2.73 to $2.82 on 164M volume, cementing $2.70–$2.73 as near-term support.
  • Final hour consolidation (10:20–11:19 GMT) saw price slip 0.71% from $2.81 to $2.79, with heavy selling between 10:31–10:39 on 3.3M volume per minute, confirming resistance at $2.80–$2.81.

Technical Analysis

  • Support: $2.70–$2.73 floor repeatedly defended, reinforced by whale buying.
  • Resistance: $2.80–$2.84 remains the rejection zone, with $2.87–$3.02 as the next upside threshold.
  • Momentum: RSI near mid-40s after rebound, showing neutral-to-bearish bias.
  • MACD: Compression phase continues; potential crossover if accumulation persists.
  • Patterns: Symmetrical triangle forming with volatility compression; breakout path remains open toward $3.30 if resistance clears.

What Traders Are Watching

  • If $2.70–$2.73 holds, short-term traders will treat it as a springboard for $2.84 retests.
  • A close above $2.84 would put $3.00–$3.30 back in play.
  • Downside scenario: breach of $2.70 exposes $2.50 as next structural support.
  • Whale accumulation vs. institutional selling — the push-pull dynamic that could dictate September direction.

Best Altcoins to Buy After Sudden Whale Shift from Bitcoin to Ethereum

by admin September 1, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Bitcoin has long been the darling of big-money crypto investors. But it looks like the winds are now shifting in favor of Ethereum.

For instance, a $BTC whale ‘Bitcoin OG’ has been rotating funds from Bitcoin into Ethereum over the past month.

Similarly, on August 21, another whale sold 670 $BTC from a massive seven-year-old stash of 14,837 $BTC (worth $1.6B) to build long $ETH positions, buying 68,130 tokens.

This kind of large-scale institutional rotation underscores the growing confidence in Ethereum – the backbone of DeFi and Web3 – and highlights investors’ eagerness to diversify.

Even better? Traditionally, a rise in $ETH allocations is followed by increased investment in altcoins, which is why many experts believe a new altcoin season could be just around the corner.

Read on as we explore Ethereum’s path ahead and highlight the best altcoins to buy to make the most of this opportunity.

Drying ETH Reserves and the WLFI Listing Effect

Ethereum exchange reserves are dwindling rapidly. Data from CryptoQuant shows that $ETH available on exchanges is now at an all-time low, suggesting aggressive accumulation on all fronts.

Another macro factor driving $ETH is the latest $WLFI (World Liberty Financial) token listing.

WLFI is a Trump-backed crypto investment firm, and a massive 66% ($328.20M) of its total holdings are in Ethereum. So, a strong listing for WLFI could trigger further bullish momentum in $ETH.

And things are looking pretty good on the technical side, too.

$ETH is currently trading around $4,300 and is just one big fat green candle away from breaking out of a long-drawn consolidation zone, as highlighted by the descending triangle pattern in the image below.

With all the stars aligning perfectly for Ethereum, the broader altcoin market stands to benefit the most.

Since $ETH is the base layer for a majority of altcoins, stabilization at higher levels could lead to institutional liquidity rotating into smaller tokens as investors adopt a more risk-on approach and chase high-growth opportunities.

Looking for the best cryptos to invest in right now? Here are three awesome suggestions.

1. Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) – Supercharging the Bitcoin Ecosystem with Solana-Like Performance

Despite some big-money players preferring Ethereum over Bitcoin, there’s no shortage of bullish sentiment for the ‘digital gold.’

Just a couple of days ago, a new Bitcoin whale was born after a hefty 1,506 $BTC deposit worth $163.5M.

That’s why Bitcoin Hyper ($HYPER) stands out as one of the best cryptos to buy now.

It’s building the first-ever Layer 2 solution that’s aimed at bringing Solana-like performance to the otherwise slow and aging Bitcoin blockchain.

By integrating the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), $HYPER will unlock full compatibility with smart contracts and dApps directly on Bitcoin.

And thanks to a fast, decentralized, non-custodial canonical bridge, you’ll be able to seamlessly convert your Layer 1 $BTC into ‘wrapped’ $BTC tokens, fully compatible with Hyper’s Layer 2.

Why is this conversion important? Because it allows you to use native $BTC tokens across high-speed DeFi trading apps, NFT marketplaces, lending and staking protocols, DAOs, and gaming dApps.

Currently in presale, Bitcoin Hyper has already raised over $13.2M from early investors. Here’s how to buy $HYPER.

Each token is priced at just $0.012835, with our $HYPER price prediction suggesting the token could climb 2,400% by year-end – potentially hitting $0.32.

Visit Bitcoin Hyper’s official website for more information.

2. Best Wallet Token ($BEST) – New Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet Enabling Direct Presale Purchase

With trading volumes at record highs, the need for a reliable and easy-to-use crypto wallet has never been greater. Enter Best Wallet Token ($BEST).

This new crypto powers Best Wallet, a free crypto wallet that delivers a never-before-seen blend of usability and rock-solid security.

  • It’s fully non-custodial, giving you exclusive control over your private keys.
  • It offers advanced two-factor authentication options, including biometric login.
  • It’s also packed with safeguards against hacks, scams, and phishing websites.

Impressive, right? But the real kicker is its Presale Aggregator, which is a feature you won’t find in any other wallet.

Simply put, it lets you buy the best crypto presales directly within the app. No need to jump across external websites, as everything happens securely inside Best Wallet.

And buying $BEST doesn’t just give you front-row seats to the wallet’s growth, but it also unlocks a bunch of exclusive perks.

These include reduced trading fees, voting rights, staking rewards (currently 87%), and early-bird access to new meme coins in presale.

1 $BEST is currently available at just $0.025575, with the project having already gathered over $15.3M.

Check out $BEST’s official website for more information.

3. Unstable Coin ($USDUC) – Viral Meme Coin Pumping Harder than Ever

The best thing about meme coins? They’re probably some of the most self-aware projects you’ll ever see – across industries, countries, and even planets.

Unstable Coin ($USDUC) is a picture-perfect example. The token knows it’s a pure meme coin, and it doesn’t try to be anything else. In fact, it prides itself on having no intrinsic value, utility, or roadmap.

On paper, it’s a satirical take on the USDC stablecoin and the entire ethos of stablecoins: bringing stability to the crypto market.

But according to the developers of Unstable Coin, crypto is inherently volatile, and that shouldn’t change. The result? $USDUC, a meme coin that exists to revolt against stablecoins.

And as we’ve come to expect from meme coin degens, the more absurd a coin’s premise, the more ridiculous its gains.

Available on both Solana and Ethereum, $USDUC has already surged more than 518% since launching in June this year.

It’s currently trading at record highs of $0.06947, and with momentum on its side, there may be no stopping it from rocketing further into uncharted territory.

Bottom Line

With institutional players snagging up Ethereum at an unprecedented pace, the stage is set for a full-blown altcoin season.

However, kindly keep in mind that none of the above is financial advice. Crypto investments are highly risky, and you must only invest after doing your own research.

Nike, StockX End Trademark Clash Over NFTs and Fake Shoes

by admin September 1, 2025

In brief

  • Nike and StockX have ended their legal battle over trademark misuse.
  • A judge ruled in March 2025 that StockX sold counterfeit Nike sneakers.
  • Analysts told Decrypt the deal signals less room for gray-area resale platforms and more focus on brand-approved NFTs.

Nike Inc. and StockX, a Detroit-based online marketplace, settled a three-year case in New York federal court last Friday over sneaker-linked NFTs and trademark misuse, over half a year after a judge ruled the resale platform sold counterfeit sneakers.

The settlement immediately takes a jury trial scheduled for October off the calendar, dismissing all claims with prejudice. It spares StockX the risk of a damaging verdict, while allowing Nike to avoid the uncertainty of putting its brand protection strategy before a jury.

The case began in the Southern District of New York in February 2022, when Nike accused StockX of trademark infringement and dilution, alleging its “Vault” NFTs used Nike sneaker images without authorization to sell tokens tied to physical shoes.

At the time, Nike argued the NFTs “are likely to confuse consumers, create a false association between those products,” and dilute its trademarks.

A month later, StockX countered in that its Vault NFTs were designed “to track ownership of frequently traded physical products,” not to mislead consumers, arguing that Nike’s suit reflected “a fundamental misunderstanding of the various functions NFTs can serve.”

By May of the same year, Nike had amended its complaint to allege that StockX was also selling counterfeit sneakers, saying pairs it purchased from the platform failed authentication and further supported its trademark claims.

Those allegations were later addressed earlier in March this year, with Judge Valerie Caproni granting Nike partial summary judgment after finding StockX liable for distributing counterfeit goods tied to four pairs of shoes sold to Nike’s investigators and 33 pairs sold to a customer named Roy Kim.

Unlaced in court

The ruling left other claims unresolved and set the case for trial, but the settlement reached in late August cut those plans short.

Now, observers point to the abrupt resolution as a key moment for how markets could view tokenized goods.

The Nike–StockX settlement “brings relief to the sneaker NFT market by removing the risk of a disruptive jury trial, but the real signal for the industry came earlier: when RTFKT shut down in December,” Dan Dadybayo, research and strategy lead at Unstoppable Wallet, told Decrypt.

“RTFKT was the most influential phygital studio, blending Nike Cryptokicks, Clone X with Murakami, and experimental sneaker drops,” Dadybayo explained.

The closure of RTFKT “showed how fragile hybrid models are when brand control and IP compliance aren’t crystal clear.”

The settlement reinforces how “NFTs functioning as receipts for physical goods will survive, but tokens drifting into standalone collectibles without brand approval will face legal pressure,” he said, adding that “less tolerance for gray-area resale platforms” could be expected.

Aligning with Dadybayo’s point, Hank Huang, CEO of Kronos Research, told Decrypt that NFTs “are no longer a legal gray area,” noting how trademark rights have become “essential for building credible, compliant platforms” as the tokenized collectible market “enters a more disciplined phase.”

Binance, other exchanges list WLFI token as trading begins

WLFI token debuts today: can it reach $0.50?

by admin September 1, 2025

The WLFI token is making its highly anticipated debut today, with a 5 billion token unlock and over $5 billion in derivatives trading volume setting the stage for explosive price action once trading opens.

Summary

  • WLFI derivatives volume surged past $5 billion in 24 hours, with OI up 25% to $850 million, signaling high volatility ahead.
  • Long/short ratios above 5:1 on Binance and 6:1 on OKX show traders are heavily betting on upside.
  • About 5 billion WLFI tokens are entering circulation today, creating a $1.6–$1.7 billion market cap at current prices and setting the stage for a battle between selling pressure and speculative demand.

The World Liberty Financial (WLFI) token is officially launching, with Binance becoming the first exchange to list it. Trading for the new spot pairs—WLFI/USDT and WLFI/USDC—will begin today, Sept. 1, at 13:00 UTC, with deposits having already opened and withdrawals scheduled to begin on tomorrow. Other major exchanges have also confirmed plans to list WLFI, including KuCoin, Gate, Bithumb, Upbit, Kraken, OKX, HTX, MEXC, LBank, and Bitrue, making it available on all the major trading platforms.

The listing closely follows a community-driven decision to allow WLFI tokens to be traded, which had previously been non-transferable to comply with regulatory restrictions. On August 22, the World Liberty Financial community voted to unlock 20% of the supply (~5 billion of WLFI tokens) held by early supporters on Sept. 1 at 12pm UTC, creating the first opportunity for these holders to move or trade their tokens on CEXs.

WLFI token price prediction

Based on derivatives data from Coinglass, the WLFI token is already attracting significant speculative attention. Futures trading volume surged to $5.0 billion in the past 24 hours, up more than +400%, while OI climbed 25% to $850 million. Such an expansion in leveraged positioning typically signals heightened volatility ahead.

The long/short ratio across major exchanges suggests a bullish tilt. On Binance, the ratio of long to short accounts is over 5.4, while OKX shows a similar ratio above 6.3. Even among top traders on Binance, the long/short ratio stands firmly above 5.2, suggesting that market participants are positioning for upside.

On the price side, WLFI futures have already pushed toward the $0.30–$0.32 range, supported by steadily climbing OI. If momentum persists and speculative capital continues to flow in, WLFI could realistically test the $0.40–$0.50 zone in the short term.

Source: Coignlass

The upcoming unlock is critical for price discovery. At the current price of around $0.32–$0.34, the circulating market cap would sit at approximately $1.6–$1.7 billion. If WLFI were to trade at $0.50 post-unlock, circulating market cap would rise to $2.5 billion, firmly placing it in the mid-cap tier of cryptocurrencies, while its FDV would rival or surpass several of the top 10 assets by size.

However, it’s important to note that the unlock introduces a potential supply overhang, as some early investors may take profits after steep paper gains from earlier private sale rounds at $0.015 and $0.05. At the same time, surging derivatives interest suggests strong speculative demand could absorb much of this selling pressure. The net effect will likely determine whether WLFI consolidates in the $0.30s or makes a decisive move toward the $0.40–$0.50 range in the near term.

Wall Street Will Make Ethereum 100x Stronger

by admin September 1, 2025

Ethereum’s Co-Founder and Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin has made one of his boldest predictions yet. He said Ethereum (ETH) could surge by 100 times its current price as Wall Street adopts staking and decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure.

In a post on X over the weekend, Lubin said that traditional finance firms will eventually run validators, stake ETH, operate layer-2 and layer-3 networks, and even write smart contracts as they shift their operations onto Ethereum rails.

I am 100% aligned with almost all of what Tom @fundstrat says here.

Yes, Wall Street will stake because they currently pay for their infrastructure and Ethereum will replace much of the many siloed stacks they operate on (e.g. JPMorgam probably operates on several siloed stacks… https://t.co/bW93kkX1gW

— Joseph Lubin (@ethereumJoseph) August 30, 2025

“ETH will likely 100x from here. Probably much more,” he wrote, adding that Wall Street currently pays heavily for siloed infrastructure that Ethereum could replace.

Ethereum as Wall Street’s Backbone

Lubin, a former Goldman Sachs executive and a key architect of Ethereum since 2014, argued that banks and financial institutions will transform into “TradFi companies running on decentralized rails.” He highlighted that staking and smart contract infrastructure will become essential for agreements, processes, and financial instruments.

His comments echo those of Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, who, in August, projected that Wall Street adoption could push Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin in terms of network value. Lubin said he is “100% aligned” with Lee, declaring, “Yes, Ethereum/ETH will flippen the Bitcoin/BTC monetary base.”

Moreover, VanEck CEO Jan van Eck recently labeled Ethereum “the Wall Street token,” warning banks that they must adopt Ethereum to facilitate stablecoin transfers or risk losing ground.

Stablecoins and Institutional Demand on the Rise

Lubin’s prediction comes at a time when Ethereum’s ecosystem is witnessing record growth in stablecoins. According to Token Terminal, the total stablecoin supply on Ethereum has surpassed $160 billion, more than doubling since January 2024. Tom Lee noted that “stablecoin demand seems exponential on Ethereum.”

Institutional interest in Ethereum has been gaining momentum at a rapid pace. Since June 2025, companies like Bitmine Immersion and Sharplink Gaming have added about 2.6% of all ETH to their reserves, worth over $6 billion.

Along with the fresh inflows into Ethereum ETFs, institutions now hold close to 5% of the entire supply. BlackRock and VanEck have already committed billions through these funds, a clear sign that Ethereum is becoming a serious player in corporate treasuries and big investment portfolios.

Banks like JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs, which have been testing Ethereum-based systems for nearly 10 years, are also pushing deeper into the network.

While Bitcoin still leads as the primary store of value, Lubin believes Ethereum’s adaptability and Wall Street’s embrace of its staking and DeFi systems could finally trigger the long-anticipated “flippening.” If his 100x price forecast proves accurate, Ethereum may evolve from a smart contract platform into the core infrastructure of global finance.

Is XRP ETF Possible? Top Expert Shuts Down Speculations

Is XRP ETF Possible? Top Expert Shuts Down Speculations

by admin September 1, 2025

The endless back-and-forth on whether an XRP ETF would ever matter seems to have finally met a full stop. Nate Geraci, who has built a reputation as one of the most expert ETF watchers, went straight to the point this week: Demand for a spot XRP fund is being badly misread.

To him, it feels the same way people shrugged off Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs at first, only to watch billions pour in once the doors opened.

You Might Also Like

Geraci’s latest comment lands right at the time as the SEC’s table is overflowing: 92 crypto ETF filings are waiting. Out of those, the familiar Bitcoin and Ethereum get a few more products, but the real action has shifted. Solana has eight filings on record, XRP sits at seven, and the queue keeps growing.

You heard it here first…

People are severely underestimating investor demand for spot xrp & sol ETFs.

Just like they did w/ spot btc & eth ETFs.

— Nate Geraci (@NateGeraci) September 1, 2025

These all are not just random startups either. Names like WisdomTree, whose XRP ETF decision was pushed back on Aug. 25, and several heavyweight managers are filing amendments with October deadlines. A calendar for fall on the crypto market now feels like a set of alarms.

Was XRP ‘next Bitcoin’ whole time?

At the same time, a few signals have already been dropped on the institutional side. Thus, Canary Capital called XRP the only asset, besides Bitcoin, that actually resonates with Wall Street pros. Amplify is testing a different spin altogether, pitching an ETF that generates income from XRP options.

Hard to argue, fund managers wouldn’t be filing without at least some expectation of approval.

You Might Also Like

And Geraci isn’t guessing from the sidelines. He was early on Bitcoin ETFs, and he was early on Ethereum too. Both times the market thought small, both times it was wrong. His call on XRP fits the same pattern.

If the SEC finally waves approval through, the speculation will end once and for all.

XRP Breaks $2.80 as Bearish September Begins, Oversold Signals Suggest Recovery Ahead

by admin September 1, 2025

News Background

  • XRP declined 4% from $2.85 to $2.75 in the 24-hour session ending Sept. 1 at 02:00, moving across a $0.12 (4%) range.
  • Market turbulence was amplified by institutional liquidation flows totaling $1.9B since July, prompting fears of cyclical exhaustion.
  • In contrast, whales accumulated 340M XRP over the past two weeks, highlighting contradictory behavior between large holders and short-term liquidators.
  • September seasonality and ongoing regulatory pressure in the U.S. add to caution: crypto markets have historically underperformed in September, while unresolved SEC actions keep institutions wary.
  • On-chain data shows activity on the XRP Ledger trending higher, with symmetrical-triangle formations reminiscent of 2017 pre-breakout conditions. Liquidity maps suggest concentrations up to $4.00 that could amplify any upside move.

Price Action Summary

  • The sharpest decline came at 23:00 GMT on Aug. 31, when XRP dropped from $2.80 to $2.77 on 76.87M volume, nearly triple the daily average of 27.3M.
  • Support was tested again during the final hour (01:31–02:30 GMT, Sept. 1) as price fell from $2.77 to $2.75, with spikes of 10M+ tokens per minute confirming forced liquidations.
  • Earlier in the day, XRP briefly touched $2.87 before retreating, as institutional selling capped rallies above $2.80.

Technical Analysis

  • Support: $2.75–$2.77 remains the immediate base; below this, $2.50 and $2.00 are critical longer-term levels.
  • Resistance: Heavy rejection at $2.80–$2.87 marks the ceiling for now; $3.30 is the higher-term breakout line.
  • Momentum: RSI dipped into the mid-40s before stabilizing, suggesting oversold conditions.
  • MACD: Bearish divergence persists but histogram compression points to potential crossover if accumulation continues.
  • Patterns: Symmetrical triangle + double-bottom formations align with long-term cup-and-handle structure. Analysts flag upside potential to $5–$13 if resistance breaks and liquidity pockets above $4.00 are tapped.
  • Volume: The 76.87M spike during the $2.80 breakdown confirms distribution, but whale absorption of 340M tokens in the background supports the case for accumulation.

What Traders Are Watching

  • Can $2.75 hold as the new floor into early September trading?
  • A close above $2.87 would flip bias toward a run at $3.30.
  • Divergence between institutional selling ($1.9B since July) and whale accumulation (340M tokens in August) as a key market driver.
  • Whether seasonal September weakness overrides bullish structural setups pointing to $5–$13.

Can Dogecoin And Shiba Inu Prices Recover? What To Expect In September

by admin September 1, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

As the crypto market ushers in a new month, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu holders are faced with fresh hopes and fears, especially as the market remains uncertain and prices continue to fluctuate. In the current state, there is still some time until a particular direction is decided for the meme coins. However, taking a look at historical data and how both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu prices have previously performed in the month of September can often help with an idea of what to expect in the new month.

How Dogecoin And Shiba Inu Prices Have Performed In September

Shiba Inu has been in existence for a considerably lesser time than Dogecoin, with DOGE’s 12 years compared to SHIB’s five years. However, both meme coins seem to go hand in hand as the largest meme coins in the market. Hence, the performance of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu prices tends to go together as both are the market leaders in their niches.

As a result, this report will look at the performances of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu prices over the last five years, maintaining a balance between the two meme coins. For both digital assets, though, there have been varying performances, suggesting a deviation in the month of September, according to data from CryptoRank.

For example, back in September 2021, when the coin was first launched, the Shiba Inu saw a small 4.65% price increase. On the flip side, the Dogecoin price was actually beginning to crash at this point, recording a 26.7% decline by the time the month of September was over.

Source: CryptoRank
Source: CryptoRank

The next two years, though, saw poor performance from both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, with Shiba Inu suffering losses. Then, in September 2024, there was a drastic change as both meme coins actually saw double-digit gains by the end of the month.

What this suggests is that the month of September is a mixed bag for both Dogecoin and Shiba Inu prices. Mostly, the performance for September depends on the Bitcoin price and how the crypto market moves in general in the new month.

October Is The Real Deal

For Dogecoin and Shiba Inu investors looking for real gains, the time to look forward to would be the month of October. Since its launch in 2021, the Shiba Inu price has never had a red close in October, and it is the only month where the meme coin has consistently achieved gains.

Dogecoin’s performance for the month of October is similar, with the last six years ending in consistent green closes for the meme coin. Simply put, the month of October is the most bullish month for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, often leading into November before the rally subsides.

Binance Taps Compliance Veteran for APAC Role as Australia Tightens Oversight

by admin September 1, 2025

In brief

  • Binance has appointed SB Seker as Head of Asia-Pacific on Monday, who brings over 20 years of legal and regulatory experience.
  • The hiring comes weeks after AUSTRAC ordered Binance Australia to undergo an independent audit, citing “serious concerns” about anti-money laundering controls vulnerable to illicit money flows.
  • Industry experts view the appointment as a compliance strategy reinforcement and a signal to regulators that Binance is serious about meeting APAC standards.

Binance has appointed compliance veteran SB Seker as its new Head of Asia-Pacific, as the world’s largest crypto exchange seeks to navigate regulatory headwinds in the region.

The appointment comes just two weeks after AUSTRAC ordered Binance’s Australian arm to undergo an independent audit, citing “serious concerns” relating to anti-money laundering controls that could expose the platform to illicit money flows.

Industry experts have viewed the move as both strategic and timely, given the exchange’s ongoing compliance challenges in Australia.

James Volpe, founding director of Melbourne-based Web3 education firm uCubed, told Decrypt that “SB Seker’s background positions him as someone consistently brought into complex environments to strengthen compliance and regulatory frameworks.”

“For Binance, the appointment reinforces its compliance strategy while also signalling to regulators and users that it is serious about meeting standards in APAC,” he said.

Seker brings over 20 years of cross-sector experience, including roles as a litigator in Australia and a central banking lawyer at the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at Crypto.com Group, overseeing global product development and regulatory matters.

Last month, AUSTRAC ordered Binance Australia to nominate external auditors after finding inadequate independent reviews and high staff turnover, with 18 days remaining to comply.

“AUSTRAC’s move is significant, sending a message that crypto exchanges must be held to the same standards of responsibility and compliance as traditional financial institutions, setting a precedent for closer scrutiny across the industry,” Volpe explained.

Joni Pirovich, founder of Australian crypto specialist law firm b’das*l, told Decrypt that “the appointment of an independent auditor is a serious but early step.”

She said AUSTRAC has “a range of tools to deal with findings from the auditor,” including directing Binance to remedy systems, enforcement action, further audits, imposing registration restrictions, and “in the worst case, to suspend or revoke the registration.”

“The hire of Seker could well mean that Binance recognizes the skills and experience needed for best cooperation with AUSTRAC and the auditor, and a best-case outcome,” Pirovich added.

In his new role, Seker will oversee regional operations and drive market adoption across APAC while strengthening engagement with policymakers.

“I’m truly excited to join Binance to help shape a sustainable, innovative, and compliant future for the digital-asset ecosystem across the region,” Seker said in a statement on Sunday.

Binance, other exchanges list WLFI token as trading begins

by admin September 1, 2025

World Liberty Financial’s WLFI token officially begins trading today, Sept. 1, with Binance and several other major exchanges listing the asset as its token unlock kicks in.

Summary

  • Binance and multiple exchanges launch WLFI spot trading as its first token unlock goes live.
  • 20% of presale allocations released via Lockbox, with future releases subject to community votes.
  • WLFI’s stablecoin expands to Solana with $2.2B market cap and ecosystem integrations.

Binance announced on Sept.1 that WLFI spot trading will open at 13:00 UTC with WLFI/USDT and WLFI/USDC pairs. Deposits opened earlier in the day, while withdrawals will follow on Sept. 2. The launch expands WLFI access beyond its pre-market futures, which had been live on Binance and Hyperliquid (HYPE) since late August.

Bybit, OKX, KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, Bitget, BingX, and HTX are also listing WLFI, ensuring broad coverage across centralized exchanges. Futures products, first introduced last month, gave traders early exposure, with WLFI pricing near $0.27 ahead of today’s debut.

WLFI token unlock and governance

The exchange listings coincide with WLFI’s first unlock event. Early backers from presale rounds at $0.015 and $0.05 can now claim 20% of their allocations, equal to about 5% of the 100 billion total supply. The remaining 80% will be released over time through governance votes.

A smart contract system known as the Lockbox, audited by Cyfrin, manages the distribution. The feature launched on Aug. 25, giving token holders a week to prepare for trading. Investors must activate their Lockbox to access unlocked allocations.

A key component of WLFI’s design is community control. Token holders have a say in project funding, unlock schedules, and Treasury decisions. In July, more than 99% of voters approved making WLFI tradable, transitioning it from a governance-only token to a fully liquid asset on Ethereum (ETH).

USD1 expands to Solana

Alongside WLFI’s debut, World Liberty Financial also announced that its stablecoin, USD1, is now live on Solana (SOL). Pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar, USD1 has already reached a $2.2 billion market cap in under 90 days, making it one of the fastest-growing stablecoins.

USD1 is now live on Solana – where capital markets finally move at internet speed.

USD1 is a stablecoin redeemable on a 1:1 basis for the U.S. Dollar, built for speed and control, running on a fast and scalable financial layer in DeFi.

The Solana launch includes integrations with Bonk (BONK) for token launches, Kamino Finance for lending and borrowing, and Raydium (RAY) for trading liquidity. With USD1 joining other stablecoins, Solana now has $11.9 billion in circulating stablecoins.

Political and regulatory backdrop

WLFI has attracted attention outside of the cryptocurrency markets due to its ties to the Trump family. Potential conflicts of interest have drawn criticism, particularly in the wake of the GENIUS Act’s passage, which shapes the framework for digital assets in the United States.

While exchange support provides WLFI with instant liquidity, its political connections add uncertainty to its regulatory outlook.
