Will Silksong Be On Game Pass?

by admin August 25, 2025

Team Cherry has finally, at long last, confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong is not only a real game, but that it will be available to play on September 4. That is soon. The game will be available to buy outright at launch, but will it also come to any subscription services, like Xbox Game Pass?

Yes, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be on Game Pass.

Microsoft and Team Cherry have confirmed an Xbox Game Pass release for the highly anticipated game. It will be available via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so subscribers can play it across console and PC. Alternatively, people can get Silksong via PC Game Pass for PC-only access.

It’s possible Silksong could come to the less-expensive Game Pass tiers, like Game Pass Standard and Game Pass Core, at some point down the road–but this is not confirmed. If it ever does, it likely wouldn’t be soon.

2017’s Hollow Knight is currently available on Xbox Game Pass, or it can be purchased for $15. Hollow Knight is also available via Sony’s PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalogue.

There is no indication that Silksong could launch into PlayStation Plus. If it ever comes to PlayStation Plus, it probably won’t be anytime soon. Nintendo, meanwhile, generally doesn’t do day-one new releases for Nintendo Switch Online for third-party games.

A long wait

Silksong was originally designed to be an expansion to Hollow Knight before developer Team Cherry built it out further and converted it to a full standalone game. After morphing to a full game in 2019, the developers went largely silent, and there was such little news in the ensuing years that the game prompted some fans to worry if the game was real at all or if it might be stuck in development hell.

As it turns out, the developers maintain that development was always progressing and that the enormous commercial success of Hollow Knight afforded them the opportunity to take their time with Silksong.

Silksong resurfaced this week at Gamescom in Germany, and it’s proving to be very popular, with long lines snaking through the convention center for a chance to play the highly anticipated game.

“Hollow Knight: Silksong appears to be exactly what we all should have expected: a strong, well-designed, visually lovely game that carries forward the aesthetic and design philosophies of the original with thoughtful, if not earth-shattering, updates,” Steve Watts wrote after going hands-on with Silksong at Gamescom this week.

Silksong may not be a big, mainstream AAA game, but it has a lot of hype and pent-up demand behind it, so much so that at least three developers have delayed upcoming projects, citing Silksong.

First Hollow Knight Kickstarter Update In 6 Years Promises Backers Silksong Codes

by admin August 24, 2025

If you backed Hollow Knight on Kickstarter in late 2014, developer Team Cherry has confirmed that you will receive a download code for Hollow Knight: Silksong. This promise also marks the first Kickstarter update in six years for the upcoming metroidvania game.

The only caveat is that keys for Hollow Knight: Silksong will only be available on PC, Switch, and Switch 2. The game will also launch September 4 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass. “We’ll be reaching out in the (very) near future to find out your platforms of choice and the best email addresses to send your copy/s. Keys will be provided as either PC (Steam and DRM free) or Nintendo Switch (Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2),” Team Cherry said in the Kickstarter update.

Now Playing: Hollow Knight: Silksong Gameplay (Over The Shoulder Filmed) | gamescom 2025

For those curious, the previous Kickstarter update was a post right after E3 2019 talking about a demo for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Funnily enough, the Gamescom demo playable this week seems to be nearly identical to the experience from E3 2019 (an event that no longer exists). GameSpot did get hands-on time with Hollow Knight: Silksong at Gamescom.

Kickstarter backers receiving Hollow Knight: Silksong codes was foreshadowed yesterday when Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier posted on social media that reviews probably wouldn’t be ready before the game’s launch. That’s reportedly because Team Cherry would find it unfair for critics to play the game earlier than original backers.

The anticipation for Hollow Knight: Silksong’s upcoming launch feels pretty tangible. For instance, Hollow Knight just hit an all-time concurrent-players peak on Steam with over 22,000 people. In addition, at least three indie games are pushing back their release dates now to avoid coming out near Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Lego Super Mario World Pixel Art Model Gets Rare Price Cut At Amazon And Walmart

by admin August 24, 2025

The deal on Lego’s Super Mario World building set just got a little bit better. The rarely discounted 1,215-piece pixel art display model of Mario and Yoshi is on sale for $117 (was $130) at Amazon and Walmart. The $117 price is active as of August 24; we originally published this article on August 22 with a $119 deal price. That was the first-ever discount on the Lego Nintendo set for adults in the US. Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi had maintained its $130 MSRP since its debut last October.

$117 (was $130)

Lego Super Mario World: Mario and Yoshi is a 1,215-piece set that authentically captures the pixelated aesthetic from the Super Nintendo era. It’s a fun build to piece together and a fitting display piece for all Super Mario fans, but especially those with a fondness for the 16-bit character designs.

The completed model is 15.5 x 10 x 4 inches and features several interactive components. There’s a dial behind Yoshi’s head that extends his tongue. The crank on the side of the base creates a more elaborate animation. Yoshi’s legs move to make it appear as if he is running. Adding to the illusion is the figure’s quick bouncing motion. Yoshi’s head inches forward and back, and Mario’s cape sways gently, just as it does in the game.

It also has an Action Tag, so if you own one of the Adventures with Lego Super Mario starter courses, the Interactive figures (Mario, Luigi, or Peach) will react.

Lego did a wonderful job making the instructions easy to follow. I used a combination of the physical instruction booklet and the Lego Builder app on iPad. The square pieces used to create the “pixel art” are numbered in the booklet, which was extremely helpful for me as someone with colorblindness.

Though technically part of Lego’s 18-plus “for adults” line, kids who have assembled sets in the 1,000-piece probably won’t have any issues.

Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi is one of only eight Lego Nintendo display models designed for adults. Earlier this year, Lego launched a 1,972-piece Mario Kart display model for $170. The elaborate build features Mario’s iconic red kart and the first realistic Lego replica of the character’s modern 3D look.

On October 1, exactly one year after Lego Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi’s launch, Lego’s highly anticipated Game Boy replica will be available at major retailers and the Lego Store. The 421-piece display set only costs $60 and includes two buildable cartridges, three lenticular screens, multiple display stands, and several interactive features. Check out our Lego Game Boy preorder guide for more details, and keep in mind multiple retailers are sold out already.

Lego Nintendo Building Sets for Adults

The most affordable Lego Nintendo display model is the 540-piece Piranha Plant, which you can find on sale at Amazon and Walmart for just $48 (was $60).

Exclusive: Funko Launching Classic Mega Man Funko Fusion Figure With Chase Variant Version

by admin August 24, 2025

Funko Fusion didn’t set the world on fire when it released last year, but at least it’s giving us some cool Funko collectibles. We’ve already seen figures based on Battlestar Galactica, Shaun of the Dead, and The Thing, and soon we can add Mega Man to that list. The Mega Man Funko Fusion figure is now available to preorder for $15 ahead of its December 27 release date. The figure will come in a standard version that captures the hero’s original blue design, and a rare Chase variant that gives the character a zombified makeover. Alongside the Blue Bomber, Funko also announced Funko Fusion figures based on Colonel Sanders, Invincible, and Five Nights at Freddy’s.

$15 | Releases December 27

This new Mega Man Funko Fusion vinyl figure features Capcom’s retro icon in his classic blue armor and helmet, with a blue energy blast firing from his arm cannon. Like all Funko Pops, this one does not have any articulated joints, but it should make for a fun addition to your game room or home office. If you’re lucky, you might land the Chase variant of the Mega Man Funko Fusion, which “zombifies” the character, turning his eyes white, his skin pale, and adding flecks of green goo across his armor. Like all Chase variants, there’s about a 1/6 chance to find it.

Mega Man Funko Fusion Standard and Chase Variants

The vinyl is arriving alongside the Funko Fusion: Deluxe Edition video game, which adds several new, exclusive characters to the game. Our Funko Fusion review gave it a 4/10, though folks looking for a quirky cooperative game with constant references to pop culture icons will probably find something to enjoy about the adventure. The main reason to pick up this new $40 Deluxe Edition is for all the new playable characters from several popular movies and TV shows. Here’s a look at the new characters in the Deluxe Edition:

  • Wicked: The Wizard, Madame Morrible, Elphaba, Glinda, Prince Fiyero, and Shiz variants of Elphaba and Glinda
  • Universal Monsters: Dracula, Bride of Frankenstein, Invisible Man, Wolf Man
  • The Office: Michael, Dwight, Jim, Pam

The Funko Fusion standard edition is also available for $20 on PS5, PS4, Switch, and Xbox Series X. While the base version lacks the additional content and characters from the new Deluxe Edition, it does include Mega Man in its playable roster.

Funko Fusion Colonel Sanders, Freddy Fazbear, and Invincible features

As mentioned above, Mega Man is just one of several new Funko Fusion figures launching in December. You can preorder new vinyl collectibles based on KFC mascot Colonel Sanders–wielding a chicken-launching cannon, no less–that also comes in an all-gold Chase variant. He drops on December 9, alongside a new Invincible figure that has a blood-spattered chase variant. Following those two, a new Funko Fusion Freddy Fazbear wielding a pizza launcher drops on December 27 with a zombified Chase variant. Preorders for all these new figures are available for $15 apiece at Amazon.

There are several other figures available in the lineup that are available now, including classic heroes like He-Man, or villains like the Cylon robots from Battlestar Galactica. Fans of the Cornetto Film Trilogy can add Shaun from Shaun of the Dead or Nicholas Angel from Hot Fuzz to their shelves, while fans of creatures and monster movies can pick up the mutant Indominus Rex dinosaur or the grotesque monster from The Thing. Check out a list of even more Funko Fusion figures below, or browse the full lineup at Amazon.

Borderlands 4 Finally Introduces Harlowe, The Team’s Own Mad Scientist

by admin August 24, 2025

The Borderlands series is well known for many things, including its emphasis on co-op, unique visual style, and humor, but it is also quite famous for its distinct player characters, who often use advanced tech or psychic superpowers to lay waste to enemies. Harlowe, one of Borderlands 4’s new playable characters, is no different, and Gearbox has finally provided some insight into how they play.

Harlowe has a bunch of toys at their disposal considering their past as a combat scientist for Maliwan, one of the Borderlands universe’s weapons manufacturers. They seem to be particularly great at using this high-tech weaponry for crowd control, often debuffing or straight up incapacitating enemies to create advantages for themself and their team.

For example, one of Harlowe’s main abilities is the Chroma Accelerator, which fires an unstable ball of energy that drifts forward and plows through crowds, all the while dealing cryo damage to anyone it floats past. Harlowe players can also detonate it an anytime to deal radiation damage or seemingly wait for it to burst on impact. This skill can be further upgraded to bounce haphazardly between enemies, store damage overtime to be dealt when it eventually explodes, and it can even be given a greater gravitational pull.

Harlowe can also throw out a flux generator that emits an freezing energy field, and enemies that are caught in it are also entangled. This means that other enemies with the same debuff share weapon and skill damage dealt to them, like a chain effect. Additionally, it can gain a slew of new properties, including a greater radius, secondary area-of-effect triggers, and can even be used to simultaneously buff teammates and debuff enemies.

Harlowe’s flashiest tool appears to be their Zero-Point ability, which suspends enemies in mid-air via a colorful, high-tech bubble. They can fire upon enemies trapped in them, but they can also press the action skill button again to slam these foes in whatever direction Harlowe is facing, which sounds like something I may never tire of. It can also be upgraded to provide healing to Harlowe or their teammates, attract ricocheting bullets to suspended enemies, or create a singularity and subsequent cryo explosion upon slamming an opponent in a bubble.

If you want to start planning your Harlowe builds, there is already a preview of their skill trees available, but you also won’t have to wait too long to play the game for yourself. After all, Borderlands 4 is releasing on September 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Switch 2 port coming about a month later on October 3.

More Metal Gear Remakes Could Be Coming If Delta Is A Success

by admin August 24, 2025

Later this month, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will bring a modern upgrade to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, a game over two decades old. And if the new remaster does well, it may not be the last time Konami revisits an older Metal Gear Solid game.

When asked about other potential MGS remakes, Delta producer Yuji Korekado told Game Informer, “At the moment, we are focused on delivering Delta in the best possible way to the current generation, and once this game is released, if the fans feel they would like to see more from playing the game, then we would like to consider lots of other games in the future. For now, this is it.”

Now Playing: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Review

“We are always thinking about what we could do for the Metal Gear series,” added producer Noriaki Okamura. “But in regards to remaking future titles, currently we’re just focusing on the now, and we thought what would be the best way to reach both the old fans and potential new fans as well.”

The most in-demand candidate for a remake may be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which has been locked in on PS3 for 17 years. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 brought the original trilogy to consoles in 2023.

In a separate interview, Okamura and Korekado said they plan to hand the franchise over to a new generation of creators if Konami decides to make a new Metal Gear Solid games. The creator of the franchise, Hideo Kojima, recently indicated that he won’t play the new MGS Delta. Okamura has shared his admiration for Kojima and vocalized his desire to work with him on the MGS franchise in the future.

Ahead of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s August 28 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Konami revealed that Platinum Games worked on a new version of Snake’s Nightmare, a secret mode from the original game. Meanwhile, original Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter shared his thoughts about Metal Gear Solid 5, which was the only primary game in the series he didn’t lend his voice to.

Hollow Knight Silksong finally gets release date, out next month
Game Updates

Silksong excitement has seen Hollow Knight’s concurrent Steam peak record smashed over and over again

by admin August 24, 2025

People are getting ready for Hollow Knight: Silksong in the very best way possible – by replaying the original, Hollow Knight, in record numbers.

Ever since Silksong’s 4th September release date was confirmed at Gamescom last week, more and more people have been heading back into Dirtmouth, so much so that Team Cherry’s critically-acclaimed game has repeatedly broken its own concurrent peak player count on Steam over the weekend.

Hollow Knight: Silksong release date.Watch on YouTube

Right now (and “right now” is subject to change with alarming speed), Hollow Knight’s all-time concurrent peak of 39,356 players was set less than an hour ago. And while there are plenty of games that have eclipsed that over the last few weeks, don’t forget that Hollow Knight is an indie single-player game that’s eight years old now.

Of course, concurrent Steam peaks are precisely that – an indication of popularity on Steam – but it’s usually indicative of player counts on other platforms, too. But before the Silksong announcement, Hollow Knight’s concurrent Steam peak, set back in 2022, stood at a much more modest 20K.

Hollow Knight: Silksong will release on Thursday, 4th September 2025 for PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Yet contrary to what you may believe, Silksong hasn’t been in development hell for that time, however – in fact, Team Cherry’s developers say they were just having too much fun making it.

Clair Obscur Gets Amazon-Exclusive Steelbook Edition For PS5 And Xbox

by admin August 24, 2025

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is getting an Amazon-exclusive collectible edition later this year. An exact release date hasn’t been set, but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Mirror Edition is available to preorder now for $60 on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The Mirror Edition includes a physical copy of the hit RPG, an exclusive steelbook case, three collectible trading cards, and a tuckbox.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Editions at Amazon

We feel it’s obligatory to mention Little Nightmares 3 also has an Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition that you can preorder now.

Clair Obscur’s Mirror Edition isn’t the only upcoming retailer-exclusive edition you can preorder. GameStop’s Lumiere Edition for PS5 will be rereleased on October 31. Exclusive to PS5, the Lumiere Edition costs $70 and includes a steelbook case, 48-page art book, and the Digital Deluxe Edition DLC outfits.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Mirror Edition

Sandfall Interactive’s debut game turned out to be a much bigger hit than anyone could have expected. In fact, it currently holds a 93 on Metacritic, which includes GameSpot’s 9/10 review, making it the best-reviewed original game of 2025. Technically, it’s behind the Switch 2 versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but those don’t really count.

Physical copies of Clair Obscur for PS5 and Xbox Series X sold out on launch day (April 24). Publisher Kepler Interactive struggled to keep up with demand, as the game remained sold out through May and into June. Stock for the $50 standard edition at Amazon finally seems to have stabilized for both consoles, but the game remains sold out at multiple retailers. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Amazon’s Mirror Edition sell out before launch.

Check out all four Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical editions below.

$60 | Amazon Exclusive

The Mirror Edition is only 10 bucks more than the standard edition–and 10 bucks less than GameStop’s Lumiere Edition. And unlike the Lumiere, the Amazon-exclusive Mirror Edition is available for both PS5 and Xbox Series X. Here’s what you’ll find inside the box:

  • Physical copy of base game
  • Exclusive Steelbook with Verso and Alicia character art
  • Mirror Edition Tuckbox
  • 3 collectable trading cards

There are 10 trading cards in all, so you’d need to buy at least four Mirror Editions–and likely more–to get all of the cards. Seems excessive, but you could buy the Mirror Edition for your friends as gifts this holiday season. Before you wrap the presents, make sure to remove the cards from the boxes.

$50 | In stock on August 22

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s physical edition sold out for PS5 and Xbox Series X shortly after the game launched on April 24. The $50 standard edition remained difficult to find for months on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but Amazon has copies for both platforms as of August 22.

Check stock at:

$70 | Reprint Preorder | Releases October 31

The GameStop-exclusive Lumiere Edition is only available for PS5 in the US. The upcoming reprint is slated to arrive October 31.

Like Amazon’s edition, this comes with an exclusive steelbook case. PlayStation 5 users need to decide if you’d prefer a mini art book plus in-game cosmetics or three illustrated trading cards plus an extra $10 in your pocket.

Here’s a look at everything included in the Lumiere Edition:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical edition
  • Collectible Steelbook Case featuring Maelle, Gustave, and the Paintress
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal – 48-page hardcover art book
  • Digital Deluxe Upgrade Pack (in-game DLC)
    • The Flowers Collection – Six Flowers of Lumiere outfits and hairstyles / Six Gommage outfit variations
    • Custom “Clair” outfit for Maelle
    • Custom “Obscur” outfit for Gustave

$150 | Sold Out

SOLD OUT

Unlike the Limited Edition, the Collector’s Edition appears to be gone for good. The Collector’s Edition was also exclusive to PS5 and only at GameStop. Along with all of the bonus DLC from the Lumiere and Digital Deluxe Editions, here’s what’s included in the box:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 base game
  • An 8-inch hand-painted Monolith music box
  • A collectible Steelbook case featuring unique cover art
  • The Expeditioner’s Journal 48-page hardcover artbook
  • The “Flowers” Collection DLC with unique cosmetic items
  • A “Clair” custom outfit for Maelle
  • An “Obscur” custom outfit for Gustave

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 PC Game Deals

PC players can get Steam keys for 10% off at GameSpot sister site Fanatical.

Clair Obscur is also available on Xbox and PC Game Pass. It’s an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can carry their saves from PC to Xbox and vice-versa.

How One Roblox Creator Team Made Over $150k In Real-World Dollars With A Simple Red Bow

by admin August 24, 2025

Philipp Batura didn’t expect one of his most successful designs to be a giant red bow. Simple and cartoonishly oversized, the Big Hair Bow became one of Roblox’s biggest fashion hits during Christmas, selling more than 455,000 copies and generating over $150,000 in revenue.

“What’s funny is that it’s such a simple design, but that’s probably why it worked,” Batura told GameSpot via email. “It appealed to a wide audience. I remember logging into games and seeing it on so many players, and I still spot it in YouTube and TikTok videos.”

It’s a story that illustrates how Roblox fashion works and why it’s so different from the real-world fashion industry. In Milan or Paris, designers might obsess over silhouettes or fabric innovation. In Roblox, the fashion ecosystem moves at the speed of memes, and sometimes the winning accessory isn’t high-concept at all; it’s a giant bow anyone can slap onto their avatar.

The Big Red Bow

Batura, who goes by Topcat in Roblox, didn’t enter the User Generated Content Creator program expecting to become a digital fashion powerhouse. He has, in a way, since he leads a full-time team of modelers and a rigger that help him design multiple items a day. When he first started selling avatar accessories in early 2023, he gravitated toward tongue-in-cheek ideas inspired by internet culture.

“The weirdest design I made that sold well was the SIGMA Chain,” he wrote. “It was part of my very first UGC drop in early 2023 and ended up getting over 13,000 sales. That moment was a turning point–it made me realize this could be more than just something I did for fun. It could be a real business.”

That business began with meme-driven accessories like the Mr. Peebles Head–a giant cat head–and the Rizz Frame, a literal frame you wore around your face. They were funny, eye-catching, and briefly popular. But Batura soon realized the downside.

“While meme-based items might spike in popularity, they aren’t a sustainable niche,” he said. “So I pivoted toward streetwear, which allowed for more consistent results and long-term growth.”

At first glance, it might seem strange that the bow outperformed more complex or trendy designs. But in Roblox, simplicity is a superpower. Players want items that work across multiple outfits and social settings. The bow managed to be playful without being tied to a specific meme or cultural reference, making it endlessly adaptable.

It also didn’t hurt that it dropped during the Christmas season, when the Roblox avatar shop is flooded with players looking for festive ways to dress up. Big, bright, and jolly, the bow was the right item at the right time.

Topcat and his team.

And once enough players picked it up, it became inescapable. Roblox fashion spreads not just through the in-game store, but through visibility in popular experiences, streamers’ avatars, TikTok edits, and YouTube skits. The bow wasn’t just an item–it was a trend, woven into Roblox culture.

The success of the Big Hair Bow underscores how Roblox fashion has matured into its own industry. The UGC program has empowered thousands of independent designers to create and sell virtual clothing, and with hundreds of millions of monthly users on the platform, the audience is massive.

For some, like Batura, it has become a career. The fact that one digital accessory can generate six-figure sales is a reminder that digital fashion isn’t a novelty; it’s an economy. Roblox has seen collaborations with luxury brands like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and Nike, but the real pulse of its fashion world comes from homegrown creators. They move quickly, understand the platform’s culture, and know when to trade high-concept ideas for something as straightforward as a bow.

“Seeing something I created become part of the culture like that has been incredibly rewarding,” he wrote. While it may amuse Batura that his most iconic creation is essentially a cartoon bow, it’s fitting. Roblox fashion is democratic and often surprising. Success doesn’t always come from complexity–sometimes it comes from knowing what players will actually want to wear.

For Topcat, that realization has transformed a hobby into a livelihood. For Roblox, it’s another reminder that in the world of digital fashion, anyone–with the right idea–can become the next big trendsetter.

Original Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater voice actor says playing Snake was “the definitive role in his life”

by admin August 24, 2025

David Hayter – the original voice behind one of gaming’s biggest characters, Snake – says portraying Hideo Kojima’s stealthy creation “was the definitive role in [his] life”, and if he was asked to reprise the role, he’d be “down” to voice him again.

In an interview with Inverse alongside fellow Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater voice actors Lori Alan and Cynthia Harrell, Hayter – who was dropped from the role and replaced by Kiefer Sutherland for the fifth instalment, The Phantom Pain – called it “the definitive role in [his] life”.

“Anytime they ask me to be Snake, I’m in,” Hayter said. “It’s the definitive role in my life. It’s so complex and so profound, and there are so many different aspects to both him and Big Boss. So anytime it comes up, I’m down.

“I get so many people coming up to me now saying, I just got into Metal Gear last year because of the Master Collection, and it’s so cool to see 18-year-old fans and younger kids discovering it for the first time,” the award-winning Hollywood writer added. “A great game should be like a great movie or like a great album – it should live on. And a lot of times, because consoles and technology change, a lot of great games disappear. And so I’m just grateful that Konami is behind this in the way they are.”

That said, if given the opportunity, Hayter was candid enough to acknowledge he wouldn’t have minded re-recording some of Snake’s lines for the remake.

“I do feel that I’m a little better of an actor now than I was then,” he admitted. “It was fine back in the day, but I would have loved to bring some of the knowledge that I’ve picked up over the past 20 years to it. But you don’t want the controller lines to be better acted all of a sudden, because that’ll take you out of the game.

“I’ve been working in Hollywood for quite some time now,” he added. “This is a beloved franchise, a huge world with massive worldwide appeal. So I’m never surprised when something like this comes back. But I didn’t anticipate it would be this. But to start with, Snake Eater is very cool, because it’s generally considered the pinnacle of Metal Gear.”

We recently learned that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has brought back the secret Guy Savage mode. But it wasn’t made by Konami alone – Platinum Games, perhaps best known for its Bayonetta and Astral Chain series, is responsible for the surprise action minigame.

Connor had a great time with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, awarding it five out of five stars in our review, writing: “A legend is brought back to life with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, in a surprisingly sensitive remake from Konami featuring developers from the original.”
