Walmart’s Lego Disney Pixar Bundle Includes Brand-New WALL-E And EVE Set

by admin September 2, 2025

Lego’s adorable new building set based on Disney Pixar’s beloved 2008 animated movie WALL-E is now available at major retailers, including Walmart and Amazon, and the Lego Store. The 811-piece model features buildable WALL-E, EVE, and M-O figures as well as Hal, the last plant on Earth, and a Garbage Cube. It’s perhaps a coincidence, but the launch of the new set coincides with a limited-time deal on WALL-E’s wonderful Criterion Collection 4K Blu-ray edition.

Pixar fans who don’t already own Lego’s 598-piece recreation of the Up House should check out Walmart’s Lego Pixar bundle deal before purchasing the new WALL-E set. Walmart has WALL-E and EVE bundled with the Up House for $95, which means you’re only spending $25 on the Up House. The Disney Pixar 2-in-1 Bundle is just one of over a dozen Lego bundle deals you’ll find exclusively at Walmart as part of the retailer’s Bricktember Sale. We wouldn’t expect this particular bundle to remain in stock for long.

WALL-E and EVE 43279 (Lego Disney Pixar)

The surprise return of WALL-E is welcome news for Pixar fans who love Lego–and paying retail prices for Lego sets. Back in 2015, WALL-E the robot made its brick-set debut in the Lego Ideas line. The 677-piece set retailed for $60 and was officially retired about a year later. Since then, the value of Lego Ideas WALL-E (21303) has skyrocketed. Today, a brand-new set is valued at just shy of $350. Even preowned sets that are already assembled can pull in $200, according to Brick Economy, a great resource that tracks online marketplace sales. And it’s not just one sale every couple of months; there are dozens of completed over the past few weeks.

So, if you’ve ever considered paying hundreds of dollars for Lego WALL-E, now you can get WALL-E, EVE, M-O, and more for $70 instead. Ironically, the value of the old WALL-E Lego set has only increased in recent weeks. The WALL-E robot in the old set is a bit larger than the new one, but the new model looks more realistic, which isn’t surprising since Lego continues to refine its engineering and design processes as time goes on.

Let’s take a closer look at the adorable upcoming WALL-E Lego set.

$70 | 811 Pieces

Lego’s store page for WALL-E and EVE doesn’t list dimensions for each buildable figure, but we know that WALL-E is over five inches tall. The EVE figure looks to be about an inch or two taller. WALL-E’s yellow body has a rusted, grimy look–the original looked freshly cleaned–which means the buildable M-O figure will probably try to clean the adorable little garbage collector with his spinning brush.

All three robots have movable arms and heads. WALL-E has functional wheels, so he can perform his duties collecting and compacting trash. The openable hatch on his chest has a compartment for a brick-built Garbage Cube. WALL-E’s pet cockroach Hal is built from a handful of bricks and can rest on the robot’s shoulder.

You can also recreate the scene where WALL-E shows EVE the plant he found. The set comes with a small buildable boot holding the tiny plant EVE protects and nurtures by storing it in her chest cavity.

WALL-E and EVE each have storage compartments

$95 (was $130) | Walmart Bricktember Exclusive Bundle

The Walmart-exclusive Bricktember bundle saves you $35 compared to the combined retail prices of WALL-E and EVE and the 598-piece Up House. That said, Walmart is currently selling the Up House for $38.49 (was $60), which means the discount shrinks to $13.49 based on today’s prices.

The Up House has been discounted to slightly below $30 before, but it usually sells out fast. Walmart’s bundle deal lets Pixar fans get the Up House for only $25.

Lego says the 811-piece build employs “advanced construction techniques,” which explains why this set is part of Lego’s adult lineup. These techniques are likely related to WALL-E’s gear and wheel systems. Plus, WALL-E has always been one of the most “for adults” Pixar films due to its filmmaking stylistic choices and heavy themes. With few spoken lines of dialogue, the 2008 animated movie pays homage to the era of silent films. WALL-E uses expressive characters, striking set pieces, and clever camera techniques to deliver a cautionary tale about the destruction of our environment, technology dependence, consumerism, loneliness, and other prescient themes.

Save on WALL-E’s Criterion Collection 4K Blu-ray Edition

WALL-E: The Criterion Collection (4K Blu-ray)

If you want to revisit the film while building the new Lego set, WALL-E has two different 4K Blu-ray editions. Notably, WALL-E is the only Pixar movie in The Criterion Collection. Fans can get WALL-E’s Criterion Collection 4K Blu-ray edition for only $31.46 (was $50) at Walmart and Amazon. This is a limited-time deal, but it’s unclear when it ends. Released in 2022, the three-disc set has nearly four hours of special features and is packaged in a display-worthy case with original art and a booklet with sketches, commentary, script notes, and more cool behind-the-scenes content. The Criterion Collection version was approved by director Andrew Stanton and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The original Disney 4K Blu-ray edition also comes with three discs, but it doesn’t have as many special features and is limited to HDR10. It’s still a great way to watch WALL-E, but the Criterion version is the definitive physical edition.

WALL-E and EVE are also featured in Lego’s BrickHeadz figure series. Released in 2023, the 155-piece WALL-E and EVE BrickHeadz bundle is $15 and exclusive to the Lego Store.

Lego brick-built M-O, Hal, the boot plant, and Garbage Cube

More Disney Pixar Lego Sets

Adult Pixar fans should also check out the recently released Luxo Jr. Lego set. This 613-piece model lets nostalgic Pixar enthusiasts build the iconic studio mascot and the colorful ball he hops on to form the production logo you see before each movie. Part of the Lego Ideas series, Luxo Jr. launched in June for $70. Lego also launched a cute Toy Story Celebration Train & RC Car set for younger Pixar fans in June.

Neither of those two newer Pixar Lego sets have received discounts yet, but along with the aforementioned Up House, Walmart has Lego’s Inside Out 2 Mood Cubes for an all-time low price of $24.48. Check out Walmart’s Bricktember Sale for discounts on more Disney Lego sets.

Morrowind is being ported into Elden Ring by a modder, complete with the vast army of goats and female clones Vvardenfell’s always had

by admin September 1, 2025

Remember when, back in the day, you made the trek through the ashlands to Red Mountain? Within, you encountered an unforgettable foe. “Come, Nerevar. Friend or traitor, come. Come and look upon the Heart, and Akulakhan. And bring Wraithguard… I have need of it”, they said. “Heed my words. I am Malenia. Blade of Miquella. And I have never known defeat.”

Okay, so maybe not, but it’s a nice image with which to open the news that a modder’s managed to port the entirety of Morrowind’s landmass into Elden Ring. It’s still very much a work-in-progress, as you might expect given its version of Vvardenfell’s populated by copies of the same random woman and goats, but it certainly makes for a surreal watch.

“Morrowind is one of my favorite games of all-time, but god damn is it dated,” the modder in question, YouTuber InfernoPlus, explained in video showing off their Elden Scrolls. “So, my goal here is to try and combine the world and lore of Morrowind with the combat of a Souls game. Basically, just taking the best parts of both and slapping them together into a common fruit and scrib jelly sandwich.”

The result so far is a really cool re-creation of all the locations you remember from Morrowind, rendered with the extra fidelity and weather effects possible in the engine of a modern FromSoft game. You can wander through the streets of Balmora, gaze out at the ghost fence from Red Mountain, and even pop by Vivec to dick around on its namesake’s favourite hovering spot.

You won’t find the Warrior-Poet there though, nor any other Dunmer, Argonians or other Elder Scrolls races across the landscape of Dagoth Souls though. As I mentioned, InfernoPlus has stuck clones of a generic Elden Ring lady in as placeholders for humanoid NPCs, with goats serving the same role for every creature. These mysterious women, who one can only assume are evidence of Divayth Fyr getting up to even more daughter-clone-siring than in the base game, do have written dialogue, but only speak the sound of a page turning. They all also assume the player’s already dealt with Dagoth Ur, which is probably why they look to be in happier spirits than the game’s usual insult-spitting blue blokes.

“I’ve done a fair bit of research on what remaining work is left, and from what I can tell, everything I want to do is possible,” the modder explains later on the video. “It really just comes down to the number of hours it’s going to take to build it all out.”

Interestingly, he notes that he tried cramming Morrowind into both the original Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 before turning to Eddie Rang, because it’d come without the headache of being close to the world-loading restrictions. He’s also not worried about any Lionel Hutzes from Bethesda or FromSoftware potentially seeing one of the couple of videos he’s now posted about the mod, declaring that “this project does not violate any copyright whatsoever”.

If, or when, this mod makes it to release, InfernoPlus adds that it’ll work a bit like the Tale of Two Wastelands mod which merges Fallout 3 and New Vegas into one experience that allows you to travel between the two games’ worlds. As such, you’ll need to own a copy of Morrowind and a copy of Elden Ring to give it a go.

Left 4 Dead creator teasing new four player co-op shooter

by admin September 1, 2025

Left 4 Dead creator Mike Booth has announced he is working on a new four-player co-op shooter.

In a post shared on reddit over the weekend, Booth said the upcoming game will be “built on the foundations of what made [Left 4 Dead] special”, though he stopped short of giving his new project a name or indeed any concept art.

However, in the words of the developer, “if you enjoyed the teamwork, tension, and replayability of my past games, you’ll probably find this one interesting”.

Booth added this shooter will expand on the co-op gameplay formula in “ways I’ve wanted to explore for a long time”. Curious.

Booth currently works for Bad Robot Games, which is a subdivision of JJ Abrams’ film and TV production company announced in 2018. In his reddit post, Booth said the team is still in the “early stages” of the shooter’s development. There are, however, going to be playtests for a limited number of participants. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, you can join the waitlist here.

The Opening Still Hits So Hard

by admin September 1, 2025

Final Fantasy VII has one of the best openings of a video game ever. The remake cranks that up even further thanks to the the mash-up of modern graphics and Nobuo Uematsu’s classic score. I’m pleased to report the magic is still there on Switch 2. Digital Foundry said it might be the best-looking port on the handheld hybrid yet. Nothing in my time with it led me to think otherwise. And man, does that first mission still hit.

For the uninitiated, the opening mission has a former corporate solider teaming up with an anarcho-terrorist cell to blow up a power plant that is helping to kill the planet. Combined with the slick hybrid turn-based combat, it’s a perfect tutorial that also sets the big-picture stakes for the rest of the adventure.

I briefly tested Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade at PAX West this past weekend and was relieve to see it doesn’t seem to be suffering from some of the issues that appear to be hindering other Switch 2 ports. Square Enix recently promised the newest version of the RPG would run at a stable 30fps with “smooth performance and crisp visuals” and my roughly 20 minutes with the opening mission backs that up. Even in handheld mode it performed well with no obvious visual shortcomings. The game still controls great, and after dozens of hours with Rebirth last year, I’d forgotten just satisfying those early moments of the first game look and feel.

Square Enix

It’s worth noting that I didn’t have enough time to defeat the Scorpion Sentinel and make it out of the No. 1 reactor before it blows up, so I didn’t get to explore Remake Intergrade‘s more open and NPC-filled slums. It’s possible these portions of the game will strain it more on Switch 2. Based on that early section, though, it seems like there’s a decent chance the new hardware’s features will help it come out of the most demanding sections relatively unscathed. Remake Intergrade came out five years ago, but nothing about it looks “old” on Switch 2.

Will I go back and replay it once it’s out? Not without some sort of cross-save feature, which the Switch 2 version doesn’t support. But it’s neat that another excellent game will get a second lease on life with Nintendo’s new hardware, and it doesn’t appear to be cutting any performance corners in the process. There’s no exact release date yet but Remake Intergrade is expected to arrive sometime over the winter.

Next PlayStation State Of Play Announced, Coming Very Soon

by admin September 1, 2025

Sony has announced the next PlayStation State of Play event, and it’s coming up soon and focused exclusively on the upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, from Hitman developer IO Interactive.

The State of Play takes place Wednesday, September 3, starting at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM BST / 8 PM CEST. The broadcast will feature “over 30 minutes” of gameplay for the upcoming title, including a playthrough of Bond’s first mission when he becomes an MI6 recruit.

“The action includes everything from high-speed car chases to on-foot stealth sequences and shootouts. Stay tuned after the playthrough for insights from IO Interactive on the intense espionage gameplay,” the developer said.

You will be able to watch the State of Play in all the usual places, including YouTube and Twitch.

The State of Play event in June featured 007 First Light’s reveal trailer, so once again, Sony has the scoop on the latest information for the James Bond game. The connection between Sony and James Bond goes back a long time. Sony Pictures has been the longtime distributor of James Bond movies, but Amazon MGM Studios is taking over for the next movie.

When was the last State of Play?

The last State of Play took place it July and was focused on Ghost of Yotei. This will be the fifth State of Play so far in 2025. Here’s a quick look back at the recent events.

The newest State of Play for 007 First Light is no surprise, as the existence of a PlayStation broadcast in September leaked some time ago. A Nintendo Direct event could follow on September 11 or 12.

What is 007 First Light?

007 First Light is a new James Bond game from Hitman developer IO Interactive. There have been numerous James Bond video games over the years, of course–including the iconic GoldenEye 007–but 007 First Light is the first to tell an origin story for the world-famous character.

007 First Light has players stepping into the shoes of James Bond when he’s 26 years old and in the Royal Navy, prior to becoming the British superspy everyone knows today. He gets recruited for MI6 and eventually its elite 00 section.

“Bond’s adventures will take players all around the globe, coming face to face with allies and foes (or in some cases, both), while choosing how they overcome obstacles and challenges, whether it be with brute force, cunning guile, or charming wit,” the game’s press release said.

“We’re pouring our energy and passion for the franchise into creating a cinematic adventure that pushes the boundaries of what a James Bond game can be, while telling a fresh, new story,” the developer said.

The third-person action-adventure game will feature other characters like M, Q, and Moneypenny, as well as a brand-new character created for the game, John Greenway, and a mysterious character named Isola. And of course, IO is promising “a whole new cast of villains.”

IO intends for the game to kick off a new trilogy. CEO Hakan Abrak told IGN that First Light won’t be based on any of the existing Bond movies. Instead, the developer is being allowed to create its own version of James Bond for the game.

“What’s exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story,” Abrak said. “So it’s not a gamification of a movie. It’s completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it’s a new Bond. It’s a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It’s extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with.”

IO has not confirmed who is playing James Bond in First Light, but fans believe they’ve worked it out, saying they believe Irish actor Patrick Gibson is playing the role. He’s known for his roles in The Tudors, Shadow and Bone, and Tolkien. Most recently, he played a young Dexter Morgan on the Dexter prequel series Original Sin. Indeed, Gibson certainly looks the part. But anything is possible.

First Light is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.

NetEase shut down studio of Fallout and Star Wars alumni who were making an online sci-fi action game

by admin September 1, 2025

NetEase have shut down T-Minus Zero Entertainment, a studio founded in 2023 by former BioWare developer and Star Wars: The Old Republic executive producer Rich Vogel.

The studio had been working on an online multiplayer sci-fi action game, with contributions from a number of ex-BioWare and Bethesda staff including Fallout 76 design lead Mark Tucker and senior producer Scott Malone. However, that project and T-Minus Zero Entertainment’s on-going existence are not a good fit for “current market conditions”.

Vogel announced the end of NetEase’s partnership with T-Minus in a LinkedIn post on 26th August. Game Developer have now obtained confirmation that the studio has been closed down, in the absence of other funding.

“Every journey has its twists and turns, and ours with NetEase is coming to an end,” Vogel writes in the LinkedIn statement. “We deeply appreciate NetEase for providing us with both ample runway and support – from helping us find potential investors to giving us the time and budget to develop our game into a fully playable hands-on demo. It has generated a lot of interest. However, despite this progress, current market conditions have prevented us from securing the funding we need at this time.”

Vogel goes on to celebrate his team’s “dedication and passion” adding that “now may not be the best time to seek funding given today’s climate, but our playable demo proves our potential to develop something fresh and exciting that will resonate with players for years.”

As Game Developer report, senior NetEase staff have commented on the post to praise the bygone studio’s work, with former NetEase president of global investments and partnerships Simon Zhu commenting that the prototype “delivers [the] great fantasy of fighting against 15th floor kaiju to protect the city you care about” while NetEase head of brand/publishing for North America & Europe Cisco Maldonado called it a “super great concept and [in my opinion] a solid market fit”.

Approached for comment, a NetEase spokesperson told Game Developer that “this decision was made with careful consideration, as we have been inspired by our partnership with the studio and their bold vision. However, we have had to reassess our business priorities and are now working closely with the studio to provide support and explore next steps.”

NetEase have been cutting staff and projects recently, after investing in several studios founded by big names in the triple-A business. Last November, they called time on Worlds Untold, a studio founded by former Mass Effect writer Mac Walters. In January this year, they did likewise for Jar Of Sparks, the studio founded by former Halo Infinite head of design Jerry Hook. In February, they trimmed down the Marvel Rivals development team and made layoffs at Liquid Swords, the studio founded by Avalanche co-founder Christofer Sundberg.

Best of luck to all the former T-Minus Zero Entertainment employees now looking for a safe port.

The Cyberpunk 2077 team is seeking “brave netrunners” for something on 4th September, but won’t say what it is

by admin September 1, 2025

The Cyberpunk 2077 team is teasing something for this Thursday, 4th September.

A rather mysterious post has popped up on social media from President Rosalind Myers (that is to say, Cyberpunk 2077’s president of the New United States of America and former CEO of Militech).

“Our great nation is once again facing a mounting cybersecurity threat – from those who hide in the shadows, too cowardly to publicly proclaim their beliefs, who are viciously determined to tear down our flag and the values it upholds,” the post begins. “I will not accept this, and I know you won’t either.”

The Cyberpunk 2077 directive then asks netrunners brave enough (so, you and me) to “join our efforts” to overcome “this grave threat”.

The message from the president closes with the call to “take our recruitment test” and “prove yourself” by serving the NUSA. It doesn’t actually have a link or anything to take you to a recruitment test, though, but given it is all predated as a note from 4th September, I am going to say this will change on Thursday. I wonder if the threat is Team Cherry… (I jest of course).

Some in the comments have suggested a new game plus mode could be on its way, while others are hoping for more content for Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC. What do you hope the Cyberpunk 2077 team is teasing?

Best Terraria Ranged Weapons – GameSpot

by admin September 1, 2025

There’s something deliciously smug about wielding the best Terraria ranged weapons. While melee players are sweating it out in close quarters and mages are chugging mana potions like they’re at an all-night rave, you’re standing comfortably out of reach, raining down arrows, bullets, or bees with barely a scratch on your armor. It’s the class for anyone who enjoys watching health bars melt while staying three steps ahead of the danger.

That’s not to say it’s easy. Ranged combat is a balancing act between conserving ammo, picking the best Terraria accessories for your build, and stocking up on enough arrows or bullets to avoid the dreaded “click” of an empty chamber mid-boss fight. But when it all comes together, nothing feels quite as powerful. From simple ore bows to weapons that literally summon storms, the marksman’s journey is one of precision, chaos, and plenty of smug grins.

Pre-Hardmode

Platinum Bow

  • Damage: 13
  • Knockback: 0
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 25 (Fast)
  • Velocity: 6.6
  • Ammo: Arrows

Forget the wooden twig you start with, as the Platinum Bow is your first taste of real power. Made from just eight Platinum Bars, it delivers enough punch to make the Eye of Cthulhu feel more like target practice than a boss fight. It’s easy to craft, doesn’t ask much of you beyond a bit of mining, and instantly transforms you from hapless survivor into a hunter who means business. Pair it with Flaming Arrows for a fiery upgrade or Jester’s Arrows to pierce crowds, and you’ll sail through those chaotic early nights.

It’s not flashy, but that’s exactly the appeal. Early ranged combat is about consistency, and the Platinum Bow never lets you down. Think of it as your training wheels before Terraria decides to throw a real challenge at you. You’ll eventually outgrow it, but for a weapon you can forge on day two, it’s absurdly good at keeping you alive and on the front foot.

The Bee’s Knees

  • Damage: 23
  • Knockback: 3
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 23 (Fast)
  • Velocity: 8
  • Ammo: Arrows

Every ranged player remembers the first time they loosed an arrow with The Bee’s Knees and watched the screen fill with buzzing chaos. Dropped by Queen Bee, this jungle treasure transforms plain old Wooden Arrows into swarms of homing bees that ricochet off walls and sting anything unlucky enough to be nearby. Suddenly, accuracy doesn’t matter quite so much because you can just fire in the general direction of trouble and let your insect army handle the rest.

It’s perfect for messy fights. Goblin Army invasion? Bees everywhere. Skeletron’s skull and hands? Our friendly Bumbles chew through them like paper. Even Terraria bosses that usually require tight aim feel easier because your insect army simply doesn’t miss. It’s not the most elegant weapon, but it’s certainly one of the most fun, and mid-game Terraria is exactly where a bit of spectacle makes the grind feel worthwhile.

Hellwing Bow

  • Damage: 22
  • Knockback: 5.5
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 13 (Very Fast)
  • Velocity: 6
  • Ammo: Arrows

If you’re heading into the Underworld, you’ll want something with a bit of bite, and the Hellwing Bow more than delivers. Pulled from Shadow Chests, it transforms Wooden Arrows into fiery bats that pierce through everything in their path without slowing down. Suddenly, those cheap arrows you’ve been hoarding turn into deadly projectiles capable of hitting multiple enemies at once. When you’re staring down the Wall of Flesh, those piercing bats feel like a cheat code.

It does take a little adjustment. The bats don’t fly in perfectly straight lines like arrows, and their arcing paths can throw you off at first. But once you get the hang of it, the Hellwing Bow becomes indispensable. It’s the ultimate pre-Hardmode boss killer, equipped with a single-click auto fire, which is usually reserved for Hardmode alternatives.

Hardmode

Daedalus Stormbow

  • Damage: 38
  • Knockback: 2.25
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 19 (Very Fast)
  • Velocity: 12.5
  • Ammo: Arrows

If there’s one weapon that makes you feel like you’ve broken Terraria, it’s the Daedalus Stormbow. Dropped by Hallowed Mimics, this unassuming bow calls down arrow rain from the heavens. Pair it with Holy Arrows, and suddenly you’re orchestrating meteor showers of destruction. The Destroyer barely stands a chance as its segments are pummeled from above, each shot multiplying into falling stars. It’s chaos, but the good kind.

What makes the Stormbow so beloved is that it rewards creativity. Build a flat arena, give the sky some clearance, and watch bosses dissolve under the deluge. Even with simpler arrows, it’s wildly strong and feels almost unfair for early Hardmode.

Onyx Blaster

  • Damage: 24
  • Knockback: 6.5
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 48 (Extremely Slow)
  • Velocity: 14
  • Ammo: Bullets

Don’t be fooled by the damage drop-off on paper; the Onyx Blaster steps up as your mid-Hardmode workhorse. An upgrade to the Shotgun with two Dark Shards and 10 Souls of Night, this beast spits out a spread of bullets and follows it up with a dark explosive blast for good measure. Crafted with Souls of Night and Dark Shards, it’s one of those weapons that feels purpose-built for mowing down anything in your path.

The best thing about the Onyx Blaster is how adaptable it is. Load it with Ichor Bullets to shred boss defenses or Crystal Bullets to split each shot into even more damage. The additional explosive dark projectile guarantees impact even if your spread misses, which makes it forgiving in hectic battles. It’s the kind of mid-game weapon you’ll hold onto long after you technically have upgrades, simply because it’s that satisfying to use.

Phantasm

  • Damage: 50
  • Knockback: 2
  • Critical chance: 4%
  • Speed: 12 (Very Fast)
  • Velocity: 20
  • Ammo: Arrows
  • Bonus: 66% chance to save ammo

Near the top of the ranged food chain sits the Phantasm, a bow that spits arrows out in torrents. Crafted from 18 Vortex Fragments in an Ancient Manipulator, it launches rapid volleys, each shot spawning bonus homing arrows for free. The effect is overwhelming. Your screen fills with arrows, bosses evaporate under constant pressure, and suddenly you feel less like an archer and more like a living artillery cannon.

Of course, it’s hungry. You have a small chance each shot to save ammo, but the Phantasm otherwise eats arrows faster than you can craft them. Some may say that’s part of the charming challenge. Fortunately, you won’t need many to humiliate your enemies, especially with Luminite Arrows in your pocket. This is the ranged endgame fantasy, granting you the smug satisfaction of watching the Moon Lord melt like butter.

S.D.M.G.

  • Damage: 85
  • Knockback: 2.5
  • Critical chance: 14%
  • Speed: 5 (Extremely Fast)
  • Velocity: 12
  • Ammo: Bullets
  • Bonus: 66% chance to save ammo

Beating the Moon Lord is no small feat, as the Space Dolphin Machine Gun is the perfect endgame gun to give you a pat on the back. Dropped by the big bad final boss, it boasts one of the fastest fire rates in the game and absurd base damage, meaning it can shred health bars before enemies even realize they’re under attack. Despite its playful design, it’s a powerhouse that turns bullets into a relentless stream of pain.

Of course, the S.D.M.G. has one big caveat: ammo. This thing chews through bullets faster than any other weapon, so keeping it fed becomes a logistical challenge. But when paired with high-end rounds like Luminite or Chlorophyte Bullets, the DPS is off the charts, so you shouldn’t need to spend too many. It’s strong, stylish, hilarious, and deeply satisfying to use.

Ranged combat is Terraria at its most efficient. Why risk your neck with other Terraria weapon types when you can fill the air with arrows, bullets, or bees and watch enemies crumble from a safe distance? Sure, you’ll burn through ammo and your piggy bank might feel the strain, but few things compare to the feeling of staying untouched while bosses drop like clay pigeons.

Whether you’re orchestrating divine arrow showers or letting a space dolphin unload on the Moon Lord, the marksman’s path is one of precision and spectacle. It’s chaotic, stylish, and just a little bit cheeky.

Escape from Tarkov is coming to Steam now its full release is imminent, as confirmed by a picture of a random bloke ironing

by admin September 1, 2025

Escape from Tarkov is finally emerging from an early access period that will have lasted nearly a decade, when its full release on November 15th rolls around, and you’ll soon be able to grab it on Steam.

Yep, it’s taken yeaaaaarrrssss. Tarkov’s initial alpha release came on August 4th, 2016, just a few days before No Man’s Sky arrived for the first time, and just after a little game called Stardew Valley dropped. Think about what you were doing back then. I was a teenager, still far from the job-having husk I’ve since morphed into.

Anyway, old feeling aside, Tarkov’s Steam page looks like it’ll drop any day now, after Battlestate Games studio head Nikita Buyanov decided to tweet some things. First there was a gif of an old bloke holding a steaming iron on August 30th, which everyone took as a tease rather than an endorsement for getting the creases out of your favourite top from the FPS developerman. Said FPS developerman was also, er, rather forthright in his reply to someone who responded to that post with accusations of scamming.

Then, the next day, Buyanov dispensed with the pagentry. “Yes! The page on Steam will be available soon. All the details later,” he posted, alongside a picture of said Steam page that’d be easier to dissect if it didn’t have a great big Steam logo slapped on top of it. You know, just in case you don’t know what a Steam page looks like, or had missed him saying that’s where Tarkov’s heading.

Will existing players who want to switch to Steam have to buy it again and start from scratch? That’s what folks in Buyanov’s replies wondered, and he doesn’t look to have provided an answer. Don’t worry, I’m sure everything’ll work out ok.

If it’s been a while since you’ve escaped to Tarkov, cheaters have remained an issue in it over recent years, but it’s still on our top survival games list. Also here’s an excerpt from an article about Craig Pearson hunting down some toilet roll in it:

I stalked the corridors, cracking doors and checking rooms, closing them as I went, because I was taught to be respectful even during an apocalypse. I found piles of crap and burnt-out detritus, but no loo roll. When I discovered a body pile on the roof it was full of worthless military doodads. This is a world with more shotguns than sponge soft shitter sheets.

Here’s hoping he’s located some loo paper in the years since 2020.
