Chucky Complete TV Series Releases On Blu-Ray This Week With A Collectible Steelbook

by admin September 22, 2025

Chucky has haunted screens and instilled the fear of dolls in the minds of many for decades. Thanks to the long-running film franchise and recent TV series, the creepy doll has become one of the most recognizable horror characters of all time. Soon, fans of the amateur comedian and full-time murderous doll can add two collectible editions from the Chucky franchise to their display shelves. Chucky: The Complete Series Steelbook Edition is up for preorder for $60 (was $65) at Amazon. The Steelbook Edition Blu-ray releases alongside standard edition Blu-ray and DVD collections this Tuesday, September 23.

While you’re picking up Chucky: The Complete Series, make sure to check out the Child’s Play Limited Edition Steelbook. Exclusive to Amazon and slated to launch October 7, this collectible edition of the franchise’s original 1988 film has already sold out multiple times since preorders opened, but it’s back in stock as of September 21.

$60 (was $65) | Releases September 23

Chucky: The Complete Series includes all 24 episodes of Syfy’s awesome TV series across six Blu-ray discs. Syfy canceled the show last fall, a few months after airing the third season. If you’re a fan of the movies and haven’t watched the show, we’d highly recommend it. The series is a sequel to the 2017 film Cult of Chucky. And while it leans more into the comedy, Chucky still commits plenty of gruesome murders. Plus, the show retains Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky.

The artwork on the steelbook’s front cover looks cool, though it’s not a brand-new design. The image of Chucky sitting against a school locker was first used to promote Season 1, but with “Wanna Play” written in blood instead of “The Complete Series.” The back of the case features polaroid pictures with characters and references. When you open the steelbook, you’re peering inside Chucky’s locker. Along with more pictures, there’s a bloody knife, because the Biology and Literature textbooks wronged him, apparently.

Like many TV series with physical editions, Chucky has only ever been available on 1080p Blu-ray. The discs support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The list of bonus features is a light, but you’ll still find deleted scenes on all six discs along with a featurette called The Legacy of Chucky. In total, the series runs close to 19 hours.

As mentioned, Chucky: The Complete Series also has a standard Blu-ray edition for $50 (was $55) and a DVD box set for $40 (was $45). It’s also worth noting that all three seasons are available on Blu-ray. You’d spend roughly $55 total if you purchased each season individually instead.

  • Chucky: Complete Series:
  • Chucky: Seasons on Blu-ray:

$45 | Releases October 7

Relive the film that started it all with the Child’s Play Limited Edition Steelbook. It includes both 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray copies of the movie, with the 4K scan created from the original camera negative. Both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision are supported, as is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. You’ll get a chilling steelbook featuring a close-up shot of Chucky, while a third disc (standard Blu-ray) is loaded with bonus features. Here’s what’s included:

  • Behind-the-scenes special effects footage
  • Howard Berger: Your Special Effects Friend ‘Til The End – Interview with special makeup effects artist
  • Life Behind the Mask: Being Chucky – Interview with Ed Gale
  • Evil Comes in Small Packages – Interviews with Don Mancini, David Kirschner, Kevin Yagher, and more
  • Chucky: Building a Nightmare – Featuring Kevin Yagher
  • A Monster Convention – Archival piece from The 2007 Monster Mania Panel
  • Introducing Chucky: The Making of Child’s Play
  • Vintage Child’s Play featurette
  • Theatrical trailer
  • TV spot
  • Behind-the-scenes photo gallery
  • Posters and lobby cards gallery

All of the on-disc content matches the original 4K Collector’s Edition that released in 2022. You can get that version, sans steelbook, for $29 (was $40).

Chucky: The Complete Series Limited Edition Steelbook (Blu-ray)

All seven films in the original Chucky series as well as the 2019 reboot are available on 4K Blu-ray. The second and third films released in 2022 alongside the original, while the remaining four–all of which abandoned the Child’s Play moniker for Chucky–launched in 2023. If you want a complete “matching” set, the editions below come with cardboard sleeves and have the same style of cover art.

Chucky 4K Blu-ray Collector’s Editions:

All eight movies are also available on Blu-ray for less than $10 each–though if you want all of them, it makes more sense to buy the Blu-ray box set detailed below and pair it with the 2019 reboot separately for $9.50.

Chucky Blu-rays:

Chucky 7-Movie Collection

The original film series is also available in box set format on Blu-ray and DVD for cheap. Chucky 7-Movie Collection on Blu-ray is $42.49 (was $60) at Amazon. In 2023, Arrow Video released a 4K Blu-ray box set called The Chucky Ultimate 8-Movie Collection. It has the original seven movies and the 2019 reboot in 4K with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. The box set wasn’t released in the US, but it’s region-free and available on Amazon from a third-party seller.

Call Of Duty Movie: Activision Is Asking What Fans Want It To Be Based On

by admin September 22, 2025

A Call of Duty movie is in the works now at Paramount, but it’s still early days and there isn’t much to go on at this stage. But now, Activision is seeking fan feedback about what they want a live-action Call of Duty movie to be “inspired by.”

A survey being sent to members of the community feedback program Recon Squad asks fans to rank what they want the film to be inspired by. The choices include Black Ops, Modern Warfare, Zombies, or something other than Black Ops or Modern Warfare. Alternatively, Activision wants to know if people would instead want a totally new Call of Duty story to serve as the inspiration for the movie.

The survey was first reported on by Detonated.

EXCLUSIVE | NEW #CallofDuty Recon Survey asks Players to RANK what they want the ‘Live-Action Movie’ to be INSPIRED BY, with these options:

💥 Black Ops
💥 Modern Warfare
💥 ‘Call of Duty Zombies Story’
💥 NOT BO or MW (Ghosts, AW, etc)
💥 NEW Call of Duty Story pic.twitter.com/38hgahd2d9

— DETONATED (@DETONATEDcom) September 18, 2025

Of course, Activision and Paramount aren’t going to make the movie based on fan feedback alone, but the companies are clearly keen on gathering notes from fans.

Paramount boss David Ellison said in the Call of Duty movie announcement that he’s a big fan of the series, singling out the original World War II games, all the way through Black Ops and Modern Warfare.

“We’re approaching this film with the same disciplined, uncompromising commitment to excellence that guided our work on Top Gun: Maverick, ensuring it meets the exceptionally high standards this franchise and its fans deserve. I can promise that we are resolute in our mission to deliver a cinematic experience that honors the legacy of this one-in-a-million brand–thrilling longtime fans of Call of Duty while captivating a whole new generation,” Ellison said.

Activision has been trying to make a Call of Duty movie for years. In 2015, the company established Activision Blizzard Studios and announced it would make an entire universe of Call of Duty movies. At the time, the team said it had plotted out “many years” of Call of Duty movies based on Call of Duty sub-brands like Modern Warfare and Black Ops, but none have ever come to be. Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of Soldado) was at one point attached to direct one of the Call of Duty movies, with Oscar-nominated writer Scott Silver signed on to write.

Iconic Hollywood director Steven Spielberg reportedly wanted to make a Call of Duty movie, but he apparently had a series of demands that Activision wasn’t willing to agree to.

The next Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, launches in November. A multiplayer beta for Black Ops 7 launches in early October.

Nintendo Argues Game Mods Aren’t “Prior Art” In Palworld Lawsuit

by admin September 22, 2025

Nintendo’s legal battle against Palworld developer Pocketpair has intensified, as the Japanese game-making company alleges in part of its ongoing lawsuit that user-made mods don’t constitute “prior art.”

While Pocketpair previously claimed that mods (such as the Dark Souls 3 Pokemon mod Pocket Souls) invalidate Nintendo’s patents, Games Fray (via IGN) has reported on September 16 that the Pokemon creator has argued in the ongoing lawsuit that, because mods require games to function, anything created by users isn’t “prior art.”

Now Playing: Pokemon Legends Z-A – The Biggest Pokemon Shake Up In Decades!

Essentially, Nintendo is claiming that mods are “fair game” as they could be patented by someone else. Thus, the company fears that its gameplay ideas and innovations could similarly be lifted and used by anyone. As IGN noted on September 19, this is particularly worrying for the games industry because patent thieves could theoretically create entire games out of just mods.

The problem here, though, is that Nintendo’s “ideas” and “innovations” aren’t novel. Pokemon has been around for decades, and as Games Fray reported, the ideas the company filed patents for in 2021 weren’t new, either.

Pocketpair, for its part, has purported that Palworld and Pokemon are fundamentally different beasts. Sure, they both start with “p,” and they feature monsters you can capture in balls, but one is an open-world action game and the other is a more traditionally turn-based affair. This, alongside the notion that Palworld isn’t merely a modded Pokemon no matter how much it may look like it, is perhaps why Pocketpair is confused by the lawsuit.

Palworld is out now on PC, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Meanwhile, the next Pokemon games are Legends: Z-A and Pokopia. The former is a continuation of the Pokemon Legends series that launches on October 16, while the latter is a life sim not unlike an Animal Crossing title that comes out sometime next year. Both will, of course, be available on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2.

GTA History Class Is Coming To This American College Ahead Of GTA 6’s Release

by admin September 22, 2025

Starting in January, students at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville can take an American history class focused on the Grand Theft Auto series. The course was reportedly planned to include GTA 6 before it was delayed to May 26, 2026.

IGN spoke with history professor Tore Olsson about the class that’s officially called Grand Theft America: US History Since 1980 through the GTA Video Games. The teacher discussed how popular video games can mold our real-world views, like Ghost of Tsushima with feudal Japan. With that in mind, “the class is much more about American history than the games themselves, but GTA provides the framework that structures our exploration of the past,” Olsson said. “My hope is that after the class, students will never look at these games, or modern America, the same again.”

Now Playing: GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) – Official Release Date Reveal | Trailer 2

Olsson is “perhaps most excited to use San Andreas” as a teaching tool from the GTA series, as it’s set in a fictional Los Angeles. “It’s probably obvious to many that this drama is an allusion to the LA Riots of April and May 1992, one of the most significant turning points in contemporary U.S. history, but also one that is widely misunderstood,” the professor said. “Explaining the origins and meaning of this violent convulsion is a key goal of my class.”

All of that said, actually playing the GTA games isn’t required for the history course. Olsson doesn’t want to put that financial burden on students and instead will showcase gameplay during classtime. The professor also believes this college course is the first of its kind, with only Wilfred Laurier University in Canada offering a GTA-related class before (though not history-focused).

This isn’t Olsson’s first time utilizing a popular game franchise for a history class. In fact, the professor used the Red Dead Redemption series to tackle US history between 1899-1911 previously.

Looking ahead, Rockstar believes GTA 6 will have the “largest game launch in history,” which isn’t far-fetched. In fact, last year, Circana analyst Mat Piscatella noted GTA 6 could be the most important release ever for the game industry overall. For more, check out everything we know about GTA 6.

Blizzard Denies It Used AI For New Overwatch 2 Art

by admin September 22, 2025

Overwatch 2 developer Blizzard has responded to accusations that new sprays for the competitive hero shooter were created with AI, firmly denying such claims.

Fans of the game took to platforms such as X and Reddit, pointing out what they perceived as telltale signs that the sprays depicting cartoony versions of Venture, Juno, and the game’s new Hero Wuyang were AI-generated.

One user on X cited the “hair and line art” in a spray showing Venture and Juno posing back-to-back, and another user claimed that there were “weird errors and strange details that’d be odd for an industry artist to make,” such as one of Juno’s eyebrows being over her hair while the other being under.

In a statement to Kotaku, a Blizzard spokesperson said: “The sprays referenced are artist-made.”

This is far from the first AI accusation that Blizzard has received relating to Overwatch 2. In August, a post from the official Overwatch X account promoting the brand’s collaboration with figurine and plush company Youtooz contained what observers believed to be AI art in the background.

The post was subsequently deleted, with a reply from the Overwatch account clarifying that the art came from Blizzard’s “e-commerce vendor,” adding that the company “expect[s] images such as this to be artist-made, in alignment with our policy.”

In April, players accused Blizzard of including AI-generated voice lines in the German localization of the game for Mercy in a Gundam crossover event. A public relations manager for Blizzard responded in the Blizzard forums, denying the accusation and saying that “certain localized voice lines in some recent Blizzard game content are currently unavailable or changed.”

The use of AI in game development still remains a contentious issue, with fans often backlashing at any possible case of AI-generated content, while AAA companies such as Sony continue to experiment with AI tools such as large language models (LLMs). Back in 2023, reports indicated that Blizzard itself created an AI tool called Blizzard Diffusion to generate concept art.

This 4-Pack of AirTags Is Selling for Pennies, Amazon Just Wants Them Off the Shelves

AirTags Are Going for Pennies, Amazon Seems Ready to Liquidate the Rest of Its Stock

by admin September 21, 2025

One of Apple’s most practical products is not a MacBook or an iPhone. It’s something much smaller that addresses a headache just about everyone experiences: losing things. Apple’s AirTag has become an international best-seller because it makes keeping track of your things so easy, whether that’s your keys, your suitcases while traveling or even your kid’s backpack at school.

Right now, Amazon has an all-time-low deal with a single AirTag dropping to just $21 (down from $29) and the 4-pack decreasing to $74 (normally $99).

See Single AirTag at Amazon

See 4-pack AirTags at Amazon

AirTags Are the Everyday Fix You Didn’t Know You Needed

If you have ever spent mornings searching for your keys or nervously hoped your suitcase made it onto the right plane, AirTags can make your life a lot easier. The technology that goes into them is really cool for devices so tiny. All AirTags use Apple’s Find My network which taps into hundreds of millions of iPhones, iPads, and Macs around the globe. You’re not just using your phone by itself to locate your item, then – there’s an entire crowd-sourced network trying to help you locate it. And in everyday use, it functions with incredible accuracy.

It doesn’t get much simpler to set one up. Place the AirTag alongside your iPhone or iPad, tap once as prompted, and it’s set. Then you can attach it to whatever you need to track. Most begin with wallets, keys or bags, but you’ll find many creative uses. Parents have been known to attach one to a child’s school bag, travelers place one in checked luggage and some even attach them to expensive gear or bikes for extra security. Because the AirTag itself is just over an inch in diameter and weighs only 0.39 ounces, it never feels obtrusive or out of place.

An individual AirTag uses a standard CR2032 coin battery that will survive for about a year before you’ll want to replace it. That means you won’t need to stress about charging it constantly unlike so many other intelligent gadgets. The AirTag also has an IP67 water and dust resistance rating so it will be okay if it’s caught in the rain or dropped in a puddle. For iPhone 11 and later users, Precision Finding uses ultra-wideband technology to give you on-screen arrows and even haptic feedback to guide you to your lost item, which offers you the exact direction and distance to it.

Amazon’s discount makes them even more appealing. One AirTag available for $21 lets you get your foot in the door for not a lot. But the best deal is the 4-pack for $74, which comes out to just over $18 per tag. Considering how many items in your life that could use a bit of an extra safety net, more than one is easily worth it.

Resident Evil Movie Will Keep The Game World “Intact,” Says Director

by admin September 21, 2025

Barbarian and Weapons director Zach Cregger previously said that his upcoming Resident Evil movie is a “weird story” that won’t use the games’ already established heroes like Leon Kennedy. But he wants fans to know that this film is set firmly in the same world as Capcom’s survival-horror games.

“It’s an entirely original story,” Cregger told Entertainment Weekly. “When you watch it, you’ll be like, ‘This is very Zach.’ It’s just [that] it takes place in the Resident Evil world. I don’t think fans of the games are gonna be bummed. … I respect the games enough where I’m gonna like tell a Resident Evil story in the Resident Evil canon that still leaves everything they love intact from the games, you know what I mean?”

Cregger also confirmed that Weapons actor join Austin Abrams has a leading role in Resident Evil, but didn’t share any specifics about his character. He only said that, “[Abrams is] so right for the role in Resident Evil.”

Abrams may soon be joined by another veteran actor, as Paul Walter Hauser reportedly signed on earlier this week. The Resident Evil movie will begin shooting this October in Prague, and more casting announcements should follow soon. Resident Evil will hit theaters on September 18, 2026.

Next year is also the 30th anniversary of the original Resident Evil. Capcom is celebrating by releasing Resident Evil 9: Requiem in February 2026, alongside Resident Evil ports for Switch 2.

Bloodborne Could Be On Ice For A Long Time – Report

by admin September 21, 2025

I want a Bloodborne remake. You want a Bloodborne remake. People who’ve never played it probably want a Bloodborne remake. It’s safe to say that everyone wants a Bloodborne remake. Unfortunately, though, those wants may not amount to anything, as an insider has suggested that “nothing is happening” with Bloodborne–not even any progress on making a PC port.

Giant Bomb co-owner and reliable newshound Jeff Grubb sat down with site co-owner Mike Minotti for a recent episode of the Game Mess podcast. During the episode, which was livestreamed on September 18 and spotted by Insider Gaming, Grubb and Minotti responded to chat requests for commentary around various aspects of the games and technology industries. At one point, the duo fielded a question from someone seeking speculation about Sony’s PC ports, particularly regarding Bloodborne.

Now Playing: First 16 Minutes Of PS5 Bloodborne Gameplay

“Has the PC porting kind of slowed down recently? Am I imagining that, or [has] there just [not] been too many games for them to port?” Minotti asked of Grubb.

Minotti noted that Bloodborne can’t move because developer From Software must be involved with the project and the studio is busy–presumably with Elden Ring Nightreign, The Duskbloods, and whatever else Hidetaka Miyazaki’s scary mind is cooking up. Grubb agreed with this notion, adding that it seems like “[From doesn’t] want to do it with Sony.” He extrapolated on this point a bit more.

“Anything beyond From Software would have to be involved and they’re not going to do it right now, I don’t know,” Grubb said. “But that’s my understanding of the situation and it continues to be that way. I checked in on it relatively recently and kind of continue to hear, ‘Nothing is happening with Bloodborne, so don’t expect that.'”

In confusion, Grubb and Minotti couldn’t make sense of why the 2020 remake of Demon’s Souls and the 2022 racing sim Gran Turismo 7 aren’t already on PC. But the one that really tripped them up was a Bloodborne remake, which fans have been clamoring for.

Bloodborne doesn’t need much of an introduction. However, if you can believe it, it’s been 10 years since the acclaimed Lovecraftian action-RPG graced our PS4s. Unfortunately, it’s been locked on that ancient hardware ever since, with nary a peep about it leaving that vault. Miyazaki has remained tight-lipped about a potential remake for the cult favorite, but he did say in February 2024 that the new hardware–namely, the PS5–could give a theoretical remake some “value.”

Although the value proposition Miyazaki proposed as a result of more powerful hardware sounds enticing, what this means in relation to Bloodborne is moot, considering there’s been little movement on a port or remake for forever now. While a former PlayStation executive has theorized that Miyazaki is likely too busy for a Bloodborne remake–or a remaster or a 60fps update or some kind of morsel–Sony has taken action against a fan-made patch that added a higher frame rate to the legendary soulslike.

It truly does feel like Bloodborne is stuck in a grave, never to be resuscitated ever again. But as the saying goes, never say never. There’s no official confirmation; however, you can never rule out the impossible. Maybe Miyazaki and friends are just waiting for the right time, or maybe Sony is looking for Miyazaki to pick the right team. Either way, though there’s no movement right now, that doesn’t mean there won’t ever be movement. Patience is a virtue.

In other From Soft news, Nightrein just receieved a new Deep of Night mode that makes the game even harder than it already was. Yeesh. Good luck out there, Nightfarer.

Konami wants our thoughts on what Metal Gear game should get the remake treatment next

by admin September 21, 2025

Konami wants your opinion on which Metal Gear game you think should get the remake treatment next.

In a new survey entitled “Metal Gear – Production Hotline at TGS2025 Post-viewing survey”, the publisher asked a number of questions about how it communicates with fans, but most interestingly, it also polls players for information about which Metal Gear titles they’d like to see “remade”.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Review – A MUD-SLICK CLASSIC REBORN.Watch on YouTube

The options provided on the survey included:

  • Metal Gear
  • Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
  • Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriot
  • Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
  • Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes
  • Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

There was also a text box inviting “other” suggestions, too, so if you’ve a burning desire to see Metal Gear Survive remade, you’ll have to pop it in there (thanks, InsiderGaming).

Expect more at the next Metal Gear Production Hotline livestream, scheduled for 25th September (which just so happens to be the launch date of the next instalment of Konami’s other big franchise, Silent Hill).
