Kojima Productions Reveals Three Cast Members, Poster For Action Espionage Title Physint

by admin September 24, 2025

Koijima Productions’ Beyond the Strand presentation revealed a few new details for Physint, the studio’s in-development action espionage title. Although studio head Hideo Kojima said earlier this year that the project was at least five years away from release, he unveiled a piece of key art along with some of its celebrity voice talents.

Kojima reiterates that Physint, which was first revealed during a January 2024 State of Play, is in the conceptual stages. However, he says the game’s technology will be more advanced than Kojima Productions’ upcoming horror game, OD. While we don’t see any in-game footage, Kojima revealed a Physint poster showing off the game’s protagonist.

While Kojima has not yet cast the main character, he does reveal three film actors playing unknown supporting roles: Charlee Fraser (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Anyone But You), Ma Dong-seok AKA Don Lee (Train to Busan, Eternals), and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One). Kojima then shared images of Hamabe rendered in-engine, showing off the technology’s impressive realism.

Physint has no release window, but it will be coming to PlayStation platforms (likely Sony’s next-generation console). For more on Kojima Productions’ Beyond the Strand, check out the new teaser trailer for OD and the reveal of a Death Stranding animated movie.

DJI Is Clearing Out Its Summer Stock of Mini 4K Drones, Prices Back to Black Friday Lows

DJI Is Clearing Out Its Summer Stock of Mini 4K Drones, Prices Back to Black Friday Lows

by admin September 24, 2025

Choosing the right drone can feel like a real challenge with so many options out there. But if you’re just starting out or flying for fun, there’s one key thing to keep in mind: your drone should weigh under 250 grams to avoid the hassle of FAA registration and Remote ID requirements.

That narrows your choices quite a bit, and luckily, DJI offers two solid options in that category. The ultimate bang for your buck is the Mini 4K — and right now, it’s available on sale at an all-time low of $249, down from $299, at Amazon.

The Ultimate Drone with Impressive Power and Precision

The DJI Mini 4K is not just light but it’s also designed to impress. Its small body is lightweight but it’s what it does in the air that truly counts: Loaded with a 4K Ultra HD camera and combined with a 3-axis gimbal stabilization system, it records video with silky, movie-quality smoothness. Whether capturing a sunrise, sunset, or nighttime scene, the sharpness and clarity are excellent. This means you don’t necessarily need to be an expert to create professional-grade videos.

Due to its brushless motors, the Mini 4K supports wind resistance as high as 38 kilometers per hour — that’s Level 5 wind resistance. It also comes with the ability to take off and fly at altitudes as high as 4,000 meters. This guarantees that your flying experience is still stable and sensitive even if the weather gets a bit challenging.

The increased battery life adds an important plus to your flight duration: You can purchase sets that include one battery for 31 minutes (like that one on sale at Amazon), two batteries total of 62 minutes, or even three batteries where you can fly for up to 93 minutes.

Casual flyers and beginners will appreciate its simplicity and safety features: With one-tap takeoff and landing, GPS-enabled “Return to Home” and automatic hovering, even those new to drones can quickly get comfortable behind the controls. Plus, the DJI Fly app offers in-app tutorials to speed up the learning process so you’ll be flying and capturing your best shots in no time. The Mini 4K also comes with intelligent QuickShots like Helix, Dronie, Rocket, Circle, and Boomerang that make tricky flying maneuvers a breeze and capture stunning shots with only a few taps.

If you want to try aerial photography, this drone is the ideal friend.

Borderlands 4 Switch 2 Release Has Been Delayed

by admin September 24, 2025

Borderlands 4 debuted earlier this month on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. However, Switch 2 owners were supposed to get the game on October 3. Now, Gearbox Software has delayed the Borderlands 4 Switch 2 port 10 days before its release after citing a need for it to have more time in development.

Gearbox made the announcement on social media, and wrote that it “did not take this decision lightly.” The statement goes on to say that Gearbox is “committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our fans, and the game needs additional development and polish time to do that. Our hope is to also better align this release with the addition of cross saves, which we are working on and recognize is very important. We will update you all on the new release timing once we’ve fully adjusted our plans.”

Greetings, Vault Hunters – We need to share that the release of Borderlands 4 on Nintendo Switch 2 is being delayed. We do not take this decision lightly, but are committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our fans, and the game needs additional development…

— Borderlands (@Borderlands) September 23, 2025

The publisher also noted that all Borderlands 4 Switch 2 pre-orders will be canceled per Nintendo’s policy. Players can initiate a refund now or wait until Friday, September 26, when they will be issued automatically.

Borderlands 4 had positive critical reviews prior to launch, but PC players have left harsh feedback on Steam about performance and optimization issues. Gearbox Studios CEO Randy Pitchford has challenged players’ negative reviews about optimization issues and remained defiant about it days later, while also offering tips for better performance on PC and consoles.

Gearbox has already released a patch aimed at the PC stability issues. Pitchford has indicated that a PS5 Pro patch is in the works as well.

Demi and the Fractured Dream looks like a good fit for Breath of the Wild haters that miss the old 3D Zeldas

by admin September 24, 2025

Despite many others disagreeing with this stance, I am of the opinion that it’s completely fine that we’ll likely never get a “classic” 3D Zelda game again. By that I mean, the whole Breath of the Wild/ Tears of the Kingdom format is definitely the direction Nintendo will continue to go in, they’ve just been too popular. However, I understand the desire for such an experience all the same, and I think Demi and the Fractured Dream might be able to scratch that itch.

Announced during today’s Annapurna Direct, Demi has you playing as, uh, Demi! A “voidsent” born into a world with a cursed fate he’s trying to avoid. It’s the debut title from Yarn Owl, and honestly, it really does kind of look like they went “hey wanna make a ’90s era Zelda game?” That’s not a knock against it to be clear, as it’s also a nicely stylish and swish looking game.

Watch on YouTube

I often find that games inspired by the 3D Zeldas can look and feel a bit too flat, or uninspired. Demi the game has a real strong vibe going for it, with Demi the character appealing to my own sensibilities quite a lot. I very much vibe with his deer boy vibe, his sword with a handle made from what looks like a tree branch is cool as heck, and yeah, I even like that he literally just has Link’s pointy, droopy hat but in blue. Combat looks nice and smooth too, though that’s something I’d have to try out for myself at some point to comment on it properly.

As of right now it doesn’t have a release date, but you can probably already guess that it’s coming to PC given that I covered it here.

New Baldur's Gate 3 Native Steam Deck Build Features Better Framerate And Faster Load Times

New Baldur’s Gate 3 Native Steam Deck Build Features Better Framerate And Faster Load Times

by admin September 24, 2025

Larian Studios has released Hoxfix 34 for Baldur’s Gate 3, and it brings with it a native Steam Deck build of the game. The team says this build should feature better framerate, lower loading times, and smoother gameplay.

Before today’s hotfix, Baldur’s Gate 3 ran decently on Steam Deck via a Proton build, but it came with some noticeable drawbacks, like a sometimes-unstable framerate and fuzzy resolution. Though we haven’t tested it ourselves, it sounds like Larian’s new native Steam Deck build will be the best way to play Baldur’s Gate 3 on the go moving forward.

“This is not just good news for Steam Deck users either,” the hotfix notes read.” The work the team has put into this build also means that everyone will get to enjoy overall improvements to the way game models are streamed on all platforms, which should reduce framerate spikes in busy areas, such as the Lower City in Act 3.”

Elsewhere in the notes, Larian has addressed various questions players might have about their saves and other aspects of transitioning to this new native build. Head here for more on that. Hotfix 34 is now live.

While waiting for your game to update, check out Game Informer’s Baldur’s Gate 3 review.

Are you going to play Baldur’s Gate 3 on Steam Deck with this new build? Let us know in the comments below!

LEGO Is Going Nuts Over the 4.8-Rated Star Wars Ahsoka Tano’s Shuttle, Now Selling for Pennies

by admin September 24, 2025

Star Wars is the number one selling license of LEGO, even surpassing Harry Potter in fan enthusiasm. Most Star Wars LEGO sets have wonderful reviews, usually 4.8 out of 5 on Amazon and both children and adult fans enjoy them. One set that’s flying off the shelves, especially with its all-time lowest price just before Prime Day, is Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi shuttle: Now offered for $54, where it was once $79, it’s a bargain if you’re looking to revisit the galaxy far, far away adventures.

See at Amazon

Step Into the World of Star Wars Adventure

This LEGO set mimics the streamlined and signature look of Ahsoka Tano’s starship in the well-known animated TV series. With 599 pieces, the set provides a satisfying build experience that’s perfect for kids 9 and up but suitable for adult collectors who desire a displayable model as well. The shuttle includes an opening cockpit that is well-suited to house the included LEGO mini-figures.

The collection includes four detailed mini-figures: Ahsoka herself, with two lightsabers; Sabine Wren, with two blasters; Professor Huyang, with a wrench; and Marrok, with a double-bladed lightsaber.

Functionality gets its proper place in this model with two stud shooters and storage bays that can hide tools, weapons and accessories and add realism and interactive play. The landing gear folds up neatly on the shuttle, automatically placing the wings in flight mode.

What makes this offer different from the typical Star Wars attraction is the combination of quality, level of detail, and now phenomenal pricing: Dropping to an all-time low of $54, the set gives children and collectors a chance to pick up a highly rated model at a friendly price at just the right time for holiday shopping or adding to a collection.

Silent Hill F Amazon-Exclusive Edition Still Available With Release-Day Delivery

Silent Hill F Amazon-Exclusive Edition Still Available With Release-Day Delivery

by admin September 23, 2025

The first brand-new Silent Hill game in more than a decade releases this Thursday, September 25. Fresh off its sublime Silent Hill 2 remake, Konami has delivered another memorable survival horror game with Silent Hill f. The standalone spin-off earned a 9/10 in our review and currently holds an 86 critic average on Metacritic (a GameSpot sister site). If you haven’t preordered the physical edition for PS5 or Xbox Series X yet, check out the Amazon-exclusive edition of Silent Hill f while it’s still in stock. As of September 23, Amazon is still offering release-day delivery, too.

The Amazon-exclusive version comes with a double-sided poster and retails for the same $70 price as the standard edition at other retailers. It’s actually one of several soon-to-be-released games with Amazon-exclusive double-sided posters in the box. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also come with exclusive posters at Amazon.

If you’re unsure if you want to play on console or PC, the preorder deal at GameSpot sister site Fanatical may make that decision a bit easier. Fanatical is offering a 25% discount on Steam keys for the standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. With the preorder deal, you’ll only pay $52.49 for the standard edition and $60 (was $80) for the Deluxe.

Silent Hill f Preorder Bonuses

All Silent Hill f preorders come with the following in-game items:

  • White Sailor School Uniform (Costume)
  • Omamori: Peony (Equip via Bonuses menu)
  • Item Pack: Shriveled Abura-age, Divine Water, First Aid Kit

My Best Plus/Total members, meanwhile, can get a free $10 gift card with their preorder of the PS5 or Xbox Series X physical edition.

The standalone spin-off is set in 1960s Japan and stars a high school girl named Shimizu Hinako. Silent Hill f has an unsettling, incredibly well-realized game world filled with creative monstrosities. The nuanced writing and overarching plot is compelling and does an admirable job exploring heavy themes. It’s also just a lot of fun to play thanks to a varied combat system.

$70 | Releases September 25

Amazon’s exclusive Day One Edition is available to preorder for PS5 and Xbox Series X. The free double-sided poster will be included inside the box with launch editions (while supplies last).

If you already preordered your copy of Silent Hill f from Amazon before the Day One Edition was revealed, you don’t need to do anything since Amazon simply updated its existing store page to add the bonus and Day One box art.

$60 (was $80) for PC | $80 for Console

Silent Hill f’s Digital Deluxe Edition retails for $80 and includes 48-hour early access starting September 23. In addition to the preorder bonuses, you’ll get the following extras:

  • Digital Art Book
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Pink Rabbit Costume (in-game cosmetic)

Steam key preorders at Fanatical are available for $60, saving you $20 off the MSRP.

The standalone spin-off is set in 1960s Japan and stars a high school girl named Shimizu Hinako. It’s the first game in the series that takes place in Japan. When Shimizu finds herself trapped in a strange, unsettling version of her hometown of Ebisugaoka, and she needs to confront a series of twisted creatures and challenging puzzles to make it out alive.

Silent Hill f has an unsettling, incredibly well-realized game world filled with creative monstrosities. The nuanced writing and overarching plot is compelling and does an admirable job exploring heavy themes. It’s also just a lot of fun to play thanks to a varied close-quarters combat system that favors melee attacks instead of gunplay.

If you’re looking forward to Silent Hill f but haven’t played the great remake of Silent Hill 2, you can get a discounted copy for PC or PS5. The PC edition is on sale for $52.49 (was $70) at Fanatical, and the PS5 version is $48 at Amazon and Walmart.

Disclosure: GameSpot, Fanatical, and Metacritic are both owned by Fandom.

Arc Raiders’ devs would you like you to slam its servers with one last, open to all tech test next month

by admin September 23, 2025

With Marathon having received an indefinite delay back in June, that just leaves one game to test whether extraction shooters can make it mainstream: Arc Raiders. While this one has been cooking for a while now, it actually has a release date, October 30th. There’s been a few tests along the way, and it turns out the devs have one last one in them!

The good thing about this test – they’re calling it a Server Slam – is that it’s completely open to everyone. You don’t need any kind of access code, and despite this announcement coming with the shooter’s pre-order trailer, you do not in fact have to pre-order it either. This test is taking place between October 17th and 19th, across PC and console, and essentially it’s just to get as many people playing as possible to ensure there are no server hiccups when the game actually launches.

Watch on YouTube

Apparently this test will take place on the Dam Battlegrounds map for those in the know, and you’ll be able to get a taste of the game’s progression, crafting, and quest systems. It’s worth noting that none of this progress will carry over to the full game, so don’t get too deep into it. You’ll get a backpack cosmetic as a little treat in the full game for your troubles at least.

I’ve said it before on this site and I’ll say it again, I’m not particularly big on shooters, but I’m always curious about a burgeoning genre or subgenre. Sure extraction shooters aren’t exactly new, but they are quite hard to recommend given how easy it can be to lose progress. Not sure if I’ll be jumping in at launch, though I’ll be keeping my eye on it to see how things go at least.

Arc Raiders is out October 30th.

How to turn off shadows in FC 26

by admin September 23, 2025

This was supposed to be a feature!

|

Published: Sep 23, 2025 02:25 pm

One of the most irritating aspects of the previous games has been eliminated in FC 26, but shadows remain a problem.

There are plenty of stadiums available in the game, and some of them have shadows (when you play in the afternoon). While they might look realistic, shadows can cause different visual problems for the players. They can make certain areas of the pitch dark and mess with the jersey colors.

Thankfully, a new feature added to the game allows you to turn them off. Unfortunately, the feature is currently bugged (as of writing this guide on Sep. 23).

How to turn off shadows in FC 26

Turning off shadows in FC 26 is pretty straightforward.

  • Turn on the game and let it load to the main screen.
  • Open Settings.
  • Open Game Settings.
  • Go to Visual.
  • Scroll all the way down to Accessibility.
  • You’ll find the option to turn off Shadows (as shown in the screenshot below).

Screenshot by Destructoid

Go back to the game, and load a match, and there won’t be any shadow on the pitch. However, that’s under an ideal situation when the feature works as intended. There’s a current bug that still creates stadium shadows despite being turned off.

FC 26 shadows fix

A permanent solution will hopefully appear from EA Sports in a future update. For the time being, here’s what you can do.

  • Once you have turned off the shadows, don’t start a game. Instead, restart FC 26 and then go to settings once again. Turn on the shadows and turn them off again from Game Settings before proceeding to start a new match.

This has worked for me on console, but it’s highly inconsistent in my experience. Here’s what you can do to avoid the problems.

  • If you’re in Ultimate Team, use a stadium item that doesn’t have shadows. The best option is the default stadium, which has no shadows at all.
  • If you’re playing in other modes, go to match settings. Set it to night, which will hide the sun (and the resulting shadows).

Additionally, try to use lighter-colored kits, which prevent the jerseys from getting messed up in the shadows.
