Illinois Governor Slams Trump’s Crypto Backers While Signing New Rules

by admin August 19, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Illinois on Monday approved two new laws that give state regulators stronger tools to police crypto businesses and curb scams at cash-to-crypto kiosks.

The governor used the moment to criticize US President Donald Trump for recent federal moves that, according to his office, loosen protections for consumers.

State Gives Regulator New Powers

SB 1797 hands the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation authority to supervise digital-asset exchanges and related firms.

“While the Trump Administration is letting crypto bros write federal policy, Illinois is implementing common-sense protections for investors and consumers,” Governor JB Pritzker said.

While Trump lets crypto bros write federal policy, Illinois is implementing common-sense protections for investors and consumers.

Today, I’ve signed into law first-of-their-kind safeguards in the Midwest for cryptocurrency and other digital assets.

We won’t tolerate fraudsters.

— Governor JB Pritzker (@GovPritzker) August 18, 2025

According to lawmakers, the measure forces companies to hold enough money, put up cybersecurity and anti-fraud systems, make clear investment disclosures, and meet customer service standards similar to other financial services.

The bill passed the state Senate in April and will make it clearer who answers to state rules and who does not.

Kiosk Rules Aim To Curb Scams

The second law, SB 2319, targets cryptocurrency kiosks and ATMs. Reports have disclosed several concrete limits: operators must register with regulators, kiosks must offer full refunds to qualifying scam victims, transaction fees can’t exceed 18%, and new customers face a $2,500 daily limit.

Those specific numbers are meant to slow down bad actors and give people a clearer path if they’re cheated. State lawmakers and consumer advocates have said those steps are long overdue.

A Political Line Drawn

Pritzker used his signing remarks to draw a contrast with Washington. Based on reports from the governor’s office, he accused the federal government of stepping back from protections after an April signing that overturned a revised IRS rule about who counts as a broker in decentralized finance.

“At a time when fraudsters continue to evolve and consumer protections are being eroded at the federal level, Illinois is sending a clear message that we won’t tolerate taking advantage of our people and their hard-earned assets,” Pritzker said.

He framed the state laws as a direct response to growing fraud and a federal posture he sees as friendlier to industry players than to everyday users.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Flat as ‘Dry Powder’ Builds in Stablecoins

by admin August 19, 2025

In brief

  • Stablecoin supply climbed to $160 billion, with $32 billion on exchanges and daily inflows topping $1.2 billion, creating the largest pool of deployable capital in crypto history.
  • Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP posted modest 24-hour gains as markets consolidate ahead of a possible September Fed rate cut.
  • While some analysts see the surge in stablecoins as cautionary funds waiting on the sidelines, others frame it as a “loaded spring” that could drive sharp rallies once macro catalysts emerge.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP maintained modest gains early Tuesday as high stablecoin reserves signal massive “dry powder” accumulation across crypto markets.

The $160 billion stablecoin supply represents a 20% surge since February, with $32 billion parked directly on exchanges. These are levels that historically preceded major rallies in BTC and ETH, according to a Monday report by CryptoQuant contributor XWIN Research Japan.

Bitcoin is trading at $115,521, gaining 0.5% in 24 hours, while Ethereum advanced 1.0% to $4,300.82 and XRP climbed 1.2% to $3.01, according to price aggregator CoinGecko.

Other altcoins posted similar gains, with Solana up 0.7%, Cardano gaining 2.7%, and Chainlink adding 0.3%, according to CoinGecko.

XWIN Research Japan pointed out three key metrics in their report, including record supply levels, $32 billion in exchange reserves “ready to be deployed,” and daily inflows showing “whales and institutions are preparing to deploy capital.”

The massive buildup reflects growing institutional adoption, with VanEck’s Juan Lopez previously telling Decrypt that on-ramp providers are “some of the hottest targets” for M&A as they become “full-fledged payments providers.”

However, not all analysts see immediate upside. Illia Otychenko, lead analyst at CEX.IO, told Decrypt that while stablecoin reserves show “plenty of liquidity on the sidelines,” it “doesn’t automatically mean a rally is imminent.”

Otychenko said exchange reserves are rising again as investors take “a more cautious, wait-and-see stance” instead of rushing to deploy capital.

“If sentiment shifts and some of the $32 billion on exchanges gets deployed, it could fuel the next leg up,” he said, but warned without macro easing, this “dry powder” may stay on the sideline.

The overall stablecoin market cap rose by nearly 1% in the last day to $288 billion, according to CoinGecko, a slight uptick amid broader crypto consolidation.

The analytics team at B2BINPAY offered a more bullish outlook, telling Decrypt that current conditions mirror historical patterns, with exchange balances typically rising “15-25% just weeks before BTC and ETH took off.”

They noted that daily deposits exceeding $1.2 billion show people “aren’t leaving crypto; they’re waiting to jump in.”

With traders assigning an 83% chance of a September Fed cut, analysts say “a friendly signal from the Fed could send those stablecoin piles into ETH and BTC first.”

The team said stablecoins are “a loaded spring” where “the next jump could be bigger and quicker than most expect,” while Bitfinex analysts told Decrypt markets remain “firmly in a consolidation phase” as investors weigh catalysts.

This is a bit of a weird one, but I have received confirmation that there will be at least one automobile present in the halls at Gamescom 2025.

It’s a special version of the Aston Martin Vantage coupe, with custom artwork based on the Victoria Housekeeping Co. faction from Zenless Zone Zero.

It will be showed off at the game’s booth in Hall 6, booth C-031, where visitors will be able to bask in all of its glory. Those going to the booth will also be able to complete check-in missions, and win prizes including a special 1:18 scale model of the Aston Martin car.

You can find full details on the competition via the X / Twitter post below.

You’ll also have a chance to win a limited edition 1:18 scale model car of the 2024 Aston Martin Vantage!#zzzero… pic.twitter.com/6JsKf8qBh7August 18, 2025

Last year Hoyoverse had a huge booth in the public area, and I expect Gamescom 2025 to be no different.

The brand’s presence at the trade show also suggests that there will be some interesting announcements during the Opening Night Live show, potentially new seasonal content for games Zenless Zone Zero or Genshin Impact.

Our agents on the ground have arrived

I might be stuck behind a computer screen this year, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have some agents on the ground right now.

My colleagues Rhys and Rob reached Cologne, Germany, this morning and are currently scouting things out and attending a few early appointments ahead of Opening Night Live.

They tell me it’s quite quiet over there at the moment, as I’m sure you can imagine, but I’m expecting all of that to change as the show nears.

Expect a Lords of the Fallen 2 reveal

It looks like Lords of the Fallen 2 will be revealed later tonight, following a fairly transparent teaser posted by the official Lords of the Fallen X / Twitter account.

The image, which shows part of a character in gothic armor, features the word “tonight” with the letter “i” replaced by the Roman numeral for two.

I was a fan of the latest Lords of the Fallen game, which released back in 2023. In fact, I did a expansive cover feature with a multiple-page preview of the title back when I worked on the UK’s PlayStation Magazine, so it’s a series that’s pretty close to my heart

Despite the name, Lords of the Fallen 2 would actually be the third Lords of the Fallen game. That’s because of 2014’s Lords of the Fallen, which is not to be confused with its 2023 successor.

We’re in for a live music performance

Geoff Keighley has confirmed that we will be in some music tonight.

It will be the first ever live performance of music from the popular RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 from composers Alice Duport-Percier and Lorien Testard.

Exactly which songs will be performed is currently up in the air, but lovers of the game definitely won’t want to miss this…

Is Hollow Knight: Silksong news on the cards?

Hollow Knight: Silksong is easily one of the most anticipated games right now. A sequel to the 2017 indie hit, fans have been waiting for more news about this upcoming instalment for more than six years.

Could we hear more about it tonight? It’s definitely likely, as presenter Geoff Keighley has been teasing something Silksong related.

Yesterday, he posted a photo of himself wearing a clown nose to his X / Twitter account, captioned “First time? See you tomorrow for Gamescom ONL.” It might not seem like much, but it’s a reference popular meme featuring the protagonist of Hollow Knight wearing a similar clown costume.

First time? 🤡 See you tomorrow for @gamescom ONL. pic.twitter.com/59ef5sFysJAugust 18, 2025

He actually posted the original meme last year, alongside clarification that there would be “no Silksong“, so this seems like an intentional call-back.

Hopefully we’re in for some kind of exciting update regarding the game tonight.

ICYMI: the latest Nintendo Direct is underway

Kirby Air Riders Direct – 19/08/2025 – YouTube

Watch On

It’s not technically part of Gamescom, but the timing of this latest Nintendo Direct is definitely deliberate and likely an attempt by Nintendo to squeeze in their own short presentation before attention shifts to the big Opening Night Live show.

The Direct is focused on the upcoming racing game Kirby Air Riders, and is our first real look at the title since its announcement back the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct earlier this year.

The broadcast is currently live right now, so you can tune in if you’re interested in learning all about it.

Good afternoon gamers!

This is the very start of my Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 coverage. If you’re just tuning in, then don’t worry – you haven’t missed anything yet!

With the show set to take this evening, I’ll be walking you through the build up, sharing the latest news as it happens, and a few of my own personal predictions then bringing you a steady stream of announcements once the broadcast begins.

“It’s really that simple.” Roblox explains its new IP licensing system

by admin August 19, 2025

You’re no doubt aware that Roblox is a pretty big deal in the games industry. But you’d be forgiven for underestimating just how big.

“At our developer conference last year, we announced this fairly ambitious goal of

getting 10% of the global gaming content revenue flowing through the Roblox ecosystem,” says Greg Hartrell, senior director of product management at Roblox.

“We think we are in striking distance of doing this over the next few years.”

Roblox has grand plans to “enable the creation of anything, anywhere, by anyone,” he says, and a crucial ingredient of that plan is to allow users to make experiences based on various different intellectual properties (IPs).

Hence why Roblox has introduced a new, streamlined licensing platform that will allow outside firms to easily integrate their IPs into the Roblox system.

“Right now, we’re onboarding a select set of IP holders as we are learning about the product and how our community is reacting,” says Hartrell. The inaugural line up of IP holders includes Sega, Lionsgate, Netflix, and the Japanese manga publisher Kodansha, each offering a small number of properties for use within Roblox.

Anyone who wishes to add their IP has to go through an onboarding process, in which Roblox verifies that the company owns the IP and ascertains the scope of their copyright. Then, the firm defines a license for the use of the IP on the platform.

“The tools allow you to effectively take a template, standard licence, and customise it in a few simple ways,” says Hartrell, “setting a revenue share rate, setting content standards, and then defining some eligibility criteria. It’s really that simple.”

“The way that revenue share works with licences is you can set it anywhere from zero to 95%,” he adds. “You need not monetize. If you do monetize, the revenue share comes from the creator’s gross of proceeds after platform fees.”

Starting line-up

There’s a curious mix of IPs on offer in this first tranche. Some are pretty huge: Stranger Things and Squid Game are the jewels in the crown of Netflix, for example. But there’s the sense that other companies have been reluctant to roll out the big guns right away.

Lionsgate, for example, is offering Twilight, Now You See Me, and Divergent, but noticeably not John Wick. And Sega has Like A Dragon in its line-up, but Sonic is nowhere to be found.

Like A Dragon

Hartrell is quick to defend the choices. “Twilight, I don’t believe, has been offered as a game licence ever in its history,” he says.

“It would be fair to say that, yeah, [Sega is] starting with Like A Dragon, but I think it’s deliberate in the sense that they have a hypothesis that Roblox has a lot of battleground games and a lot of action RPGs, and […] it’s fit for purpose for the IPs.”

“We are obviously talking with these IP holders. They’re eager to add more IPs, and I think it’s more a function of logistics and where it’s easiest to, let’s say, start, versus being reluctant.”

The more adult nature of some of the initial IPs might come as a surprise considering how young the Roblox audience tends to skew. But Hartrell notes that they can be adapted to meet Roblox’s community standards, giving the example of Squid Game (“quite a mature IP”) being adjusted to fit a broader audience.

At this point, the watching PR jumps in to point out that the majority of Roblox users are over 13, and that brands can set age restrictions as part of their licensing – for example, only allowing age 13+ games to be made using certain IPs.

“IP holders are always in control here, so they can set their eligibility standards and decide what ultimately gets a licence,” agrees Hartrell.

UGC playground

But the thing about Roblox – and all games based around user-generated content (UGC) – is that there’s only so much control anyone can have about what users ultimately decide to make.

For companies more used to strictly controlled branding guidelines, the thought of letting people do as they will with their most precious IPs might be alarming. So what happens if players start using a company’s IP in ways that are deemed inappropriate?

“There’s a number of layers there,” says Hartrell. For a start, Roblox has its own content standards, prohibiting things like excessive violence and sexual content across the board, and IP holders can set the maturity rating for their IP. But they can also use a tool to scan for uses of their IP on Roblox and issue takedown notices for anything that crosses a line.

“Not all IP holders want to adopt that posture,” says Hartrell. “So another alternative here with the licensing tool is to say, hey, if you’re using my IP, I’m willing to offer you a licence, but then you additionally need to conform to my content standards.”

Creators would then agree to these additional content standards when they receive a licence.

“And I guess the last tool that we give IP builders is for every active licence that they have, they have the means to provide basically a change request, if you will. And from there, the platform facilitates contacting the creator, explaining what kind of change is needed to conform with the standards, and the creator gets some reasonable amount of time to make those changes.

“Any creator that doesn’t comply with that risks losing the licence, and the content could eventually be taken down.”

But isn’t this all a lot of additional work for IP holders, having to monitor and moderate the use of their IP on Roblox?

“I think it’s a fair question,” says Hartrell, although he says that many of the things IP holders might be concerned with would also tend to violate Roblox’s own content standards, and as such would be picked up anyway via a combination of AI scanning and human moderation.

But there might still be a small number of things IP holders are concerned about, he says. “For example, if you have a movie, [or] a TV IP, using the likenesses of real-world actors can be prohibited.” In that case, a creator might need to be asked to remove the likeness to be compliant.

Shopping for IP

From the Roblox user’s point of view, they can now simply browse through the license catalogue and pick something that interests them for their project. Then it’s a case of reading through the terms of the license, including the revenue share and eligibility criteria, and then accepting them.

After that, the license manager gets a notification that there’s a new applicant, and they have a chance to review the project by playing the applicant’s game or reading the description that the applicant provided of what the experience will be.

“At that moment in time, they can approve or reject it,” says Hartrell. “On approval, you get the licence immediately.”

“The only nuance there is we do allow for a creator to propose deferring monetization,” he adds – this is for cases in which the IP hasn’t yet been incorporated into the user’s experience.

“Once you approve a licence, everything’s automated in terms of collecting revenue share”

Greg Hartrell, Roblox

Compared with the usual methods of acquiring IP rights, it’s incredibly streamlined. Hartrell notes that it would typically take months to negotiate an IP deal, but with Roblox’s new system, users can access an IP within days, and sometimes within hours.

“The streamlined process of applying really just simplifies it for a creator, so you don’t need a whole lot of business knowledge to be able to use really incredible IP.”

But then there’s that question again – how much work will this involve for IP holders, especially given Roblox’s vast audience? Will they be inundated with applications?

Hartrell is confident that Roblox’s tools will quickly flag any time-wasting applications for license managers. “There’s immediate data where they know that they can reject certain experiences,” he says.

“Once you approve a licence, everything’s automated in terms of collecting revenue share, communicating to the creator what the expectations are. And then, over time, we’re going to do even more.”

He notes that currently, Roblox uses an AI system to search for and flag the use of an IP in an experience. But in the future, he thinks that AI technology might be able to describe how an IP is being used, and “maybe even comment on how it conforms with your content standard.”

Do it yourself

In terms of what kinds of official assets creators receive access to after signing up to use an IP, the answer is… none.

“No assets are provided or required to be used,” confirms Hartrell. “But on Roblox, that ends up being a feature, in the sense that […] our creators are somewhat unbounded on how they can create.”

He likes to think of it as maximum creative expression. “That said, I think there’s a future where we can imagine providing a library of, let’s say, pre-approved assets, things that the IP holders are excited for creators to use. And I think I can imagine us supporting that sometime in the near future.”

The elephant in the room amid this discussion is that Roblox is already awash with creators using IP in a decidedly unofficial fashion, whether it’s for making, say, One Piece-adjacent brawlers or homages to their favourite TV series.

Now that Roblox is offering creators access to official IPs, does that mean they will have to police unofficial IP use more strictly?

Hartrell responds by saying that Roblox has to support IP holders according to whatever stance they want to take. He says they typically adopt one of three postures.

One is insisting that their IP cannot be used on Roblox at all. “We have IP holders who are like that,” says Hartrell. “They routinely look at the ecosystem, and they report content that’s […] infringing on their content, and we take it down immediately.”

The second is IP holders who have licensed their IP for specific use in certain Roblox experiences, but take a dim view of it being used elsewhere. Other companies, however, take a much more relaxed approach.

“Some IP holders, believe it or not, they don’t want to take down the content. They do want to call attention to the official content, but they’re very comfortable with fan-created or homage-based content. And I think this is where the licence manager comes in.”

Now, such companies can licence their IP at scale and “allow a thriving community of fan created content,” he says.

“I think Squid Game is probably the best example of that, where there’s just a wealth of different Squid Game inspired content that Netflix sees on the platform. And they’re pretty satisfied with the fan engagement.”

“Eventually, we want to be able to say that any eligible IP holder can sign up”

Greg Hartrell, Roblox

Going forward, the idea is to get a lot more companies involved beyond the initial four that have signed up to the license manager program.

“We’re thinking about how we scale,” says Hartrell. “Working with these initial set of partners [can] help us understand how we further streamline the workflow, understand how the creator community reacts, really working out the kinks, if you will.

“Eventually, we want to be able to say that any eligible IP holder can sign up, but it’ll be some time before we decide that.”

For now, the license manager is restricted to those select companies that Roblox approaches.

“We want to work with folks who understand the vision and are willing to say, ‘Yeah, there is a future where licenced IP on a UGC platform is a different type of licence, versus the historical game licensing models that we’ve seen over the last 30-40 years.”

This App Pays You Crypto to Share Your Poop Pics

by admin August 19, 2025

In brief

  • Doop, an app that pays users to take photos of their poop, is expected to launch its public beta this fall.
  • It will use an AI agent to analyze the photos to provide custom tips and challenges based on the results.
  • Further down the line, the dataset will be sold to organizations and companies in an attempt to further research.

Have you ever finished pooping and wished there was something you could do with the masterpiece you’ve just left in the loo? Well, an upcoming app will pay you to take a photo of it.

Doop is an AI-powered health app that will pay users in cryptocurrency for consistently uploading photos of their poop. These images will then be analyzed by an AI agent, which will set challenges for users to improve their gut health. The app is scheduled to release in public beta this fall, with a waitlist already open.

While the concept may sound hilarious or even ridiculous at first, Doop says that it has a serious goal behind the poop-tography—so much so that it has raised an undisclosed amount via an angel fundraising round, with participation from pseudonymous crypto investor Dingaling, the founder of meme coin launchpad Boop

“People don’t pay attention to poop, but it’s scientific gold because it’s a direct reflection of your diet, your healthstyle, lifestyle, and everything,” Joe Zhou, the founder of Doop, told Decrypt.

We’re not another health tracker 💩

Doop is a daily engagement engine that combines behavioral psychology, delightful design, and tokenized incentives to make self-care instinctive.

Think:

Health + Memes + Rewards → A habit you want to keep pic.twitter.com/Fr9uESvr96

— DoopApp (@DoopApp) August 11, 2025

He explained that most people only go to the doctor a couple of times a year, which creates infrequent snapshots of an individual’s health. Some may wear a fitness watch or smart ring that regularly tracks health data, but Doop aims to go a step further.

By tracking someone’s bowel movements every day for an extended period, Zhou believes that interesting trends, behaviors, and remedies will reveal themselves.

Users will be paid based on how regularly they provide images of their waste, complete health-based challenges set by the app, and if they improve their poop samples. Rewards will be paid out in the project’s Solana-based POOP token, which launched in July and currently sits at a nearly $6 million market cap. Doop will also upsell a premium tier of the app for more in-depth AI analysis.

Zhou told Decrypt that the project is based on several studies and research papers on the importance of healthy bowel movements. Those findings have been run through a custom AI agent, which utilizes an OpenAI and an in-house model, to provide custom tips on how to improve gut health.

However, it is worth noting that just an image of an individual’s faeces only reveals so much about the person.

“A photo alone cannot tell you if you have inflammation, infections, low digestive enzymes, blood in the stool, or an imbalance in your gut bacteria,” Nishtha Patel, gut expert and award-winning nutritionist, told Decrypt. “For this, you need a proper stool test where a swab or full sample is sent to a laboratory. This allows for a detailed look at your microbiome, digestive function, and gut health markers.”

That said, Patel explained that a photo can give some “useful clues” that can be investigated or acted upon. Zhou added that, in the distant future, there could be scope for an add-on that could inspect stool samples deeper than an image can.

“Apps that analyze stool images may be an interesting starting point, but they do not replace medical testing or professional advice,” Patel said. “It is also important to check how your personal data will be stored and used, especially if it will be shared or sold to other companies.”

Zhou told Decrypt that Doop will sell user data once it achieves approximately 500,000 monthly active users—although all data will be anonymized. Doop will look to sell the dataset to research institutions, insurance firms, or health supplement companies.

Data collected will include details like personal identifiers, like sex, height, and weight, as well as lifestyle choices and factors that impact your bowel movements. The user can choose to delete their data at any time they want, Zhou added.

The vision is that Doop could amass the largest and most detailed faecal dataset in the world, which could create a new frontier of health research. To this goal, the app plans to regularly release reports with interesting findings from its dataset, such as whether a specific city’s residents have worse gut health than another’s—possibly prompting an investigation into why.

But, for now, Doop’s methodology has yet to receive a stamp of approval from any gut health professionals. Zhou told Decrypt that the app is “in talks” with university professors to endorse the project’s methodology. Such endorsements are key as the app will give out health advice via its AI agent, incentivizing people to follow the tips via token payments.

Monster Hunter Wilds Tells Fans To Wait Until Winter For Fixes

by admin August 19, 2025

Monster Hunter Wilds latest update has given players plenty of new things to do, from grinding for new talismans to trying not to die to the new 9-star boss fights. But players on PC are still struggling with poor performance optimization, and Capcom now says no major fixes will be ready until the winter.

“To our hunters playing Monster Hunter Wilds on PC, we’re committed to listening to your feedback and improving both performance and stability of the game,” an update posted on X on August 18 reads. “Although we will continue to implement gradual improvements in the weeks ahead, we are targeting Free Title Update 4 this winter to implement a multifaceted plan, including CPU and GPU related optimizations, followed by a second stage of mitigation measures afterwards. We’ll share more information on the specifics in the future.”

The response from fans so far has been less than stellar. “It’s not normal to wait one year to get at least a small optimization for PC players,” wrote one. “We are paying for stability and performance as the same time free updates. I have a war machine and i have to play everything on LOW hoping it’s going well.” Another posted, “Love MHWilds I really do, but waiting almost a year for the game to run at least a little better is a bit crazy.”

Similar sentiments have been echoed across the game’s subreddit and recent Steam reviews where Monster Hunter Wilds still sits at just 25 percent, up from an all-time low earlier in the summer, but still far from where the overwhelmingly positive ratings other recent entries in the series sit. While not everyone’s facing issues, people on a range of machines are still reporting crashes, ugly textures, and unstable framerates even at 30fps.

There’s currently a new Title Update 3 scheduled for September to add a new monster and more balance adjustments to combat and progression, followed by Title Update 4 in the winter. There’s also the game’s first expansion, which new Monster Hunter entries tend to get 12-18 months after they ship. It’ll be a make-or-break moment for the players on PC who feel like the last six months have been closer to an Early Access experience.

Cookie price pulls back into major support zone but bullish structure remains intact
NFT Gaming

why this support zone could trigger the next breakout

by admin August 19, 2025

PEPE has corrected into a key dynamic support that has held since March. If the point of control is reclaimed with strong volume, a full rotation toward the swing high becomes likely.

Summary

  • Dynamic Support: Price is respecting the ascending support line since March.
  • Immediate Hurdle: Point of control acts as resistance; reclaim needed for upside.
  • Bullish Structure: Consecutive higher highs/lows signal continuation toward swing high.

PEPE’s (PEPE) price action is currently testing a critical zone where dynamic support has consistently acted as a base since the March low. Despite recent corrective movement, the overall market structure remains bullish with consecutive higher highs and higher lows. This retest could confirm another higher low, opening the path for continuation higher. At the same time, immediate resistance at the point of control presents a key hurdle for the bulls to overcome in order to reclaim momentum.

Key technical points

  • Dynamic Support Retest: Price is currently holding an upsloping support line that has repeatedly acted as a springboard since March.
  • Point of Control Resistance: The $POC remains the immediate barrier where rejection is visible; reclaiming it would unlock upside potential.
  • Bullish Market Structure: Consecutive higher lows and higher highs indicate that PEPE’s bullish trajectory is intact despite corrective phases.

PEPE has retraced into dynamic support, an ascending line that has been respected since March. Each interaction with this line has confirmed demand and established higher lows, reinforcing a bullish market structure. The latest correction has once again driven price into this zone, providing a critical test of its durability.

The main obstacle for continuation is the point of control, which has acted as resistance. Recent rejection suggests supply remains present at this level, but a decisive break backed by bullish volume would confirm strength. Such a reclaim would unlock a pathway toward the swing high, completing a full market auction rotation.

From a structural perspective, this price action forms an apex zone between the dynamic support and point of control. The tightening range indicates that a decision point is near, and resolution in either direction will determine the next significant move. For bulls, the focus remains on defending support and building volume momentum to break through resistance.

Another key factor is the volume profile. Current rejections at resistance show limited follow-through, highlighting the need for strong bullish influxes to sustain upward continuation. Once volume expands in line with bullish momentum, the probability of a breakout accelerates, setting up PEPE for a retest of prior highs and potentially new ones.

What to expect in the coming price action

If PEPE continues to respect dynamic support, the probability of a higher low being locked in increases. A bullish reclaim of the point of control backed by volume would pave the way for a push toward the swing high and beyond, while failure to hold dynamic support risks deeper corrective pressure.

XYZVerse community rallies as presale crosses $15m

by admin August 19, 2025

Solana shows signs of a September surge, and the XYZVerse community is positioning itself to ride the wave.

Summary

  • Solana may push toward $228 if it clears $210, with analysts eyeing $325 by 2025.
  • XYZVerse has raised over $15m in its presale, with token price climbing toward $0.0054.
  • With major listings, token burns, and a massive airdrop, XYZVerse aims to follow in the footsteps of DOGE and SHIB.

Solana’s performance has caught wide attention, hinting at a possible major rally in September. Fresh data points to strong upward signals, setting the stage for moves not seen so far in this cycle. This upside could create favorable conditions for memecoins. The XYZVerse (XYZ) community is ready to seize new opportunities.

Solana forecast

Source: TradingView

SOL trades between 173.21 and 209.43, slipping 0.67% in the last week but still up 2.28% over the month and 7.20% in six months. The 10-day average sits at 181.57, a touch under the longer 100-day mark at 189.82, hinting at cooling demand. Momentum scores are low, showing traders remain cautious after a fast rise earlier this year.

Support rests near 155.26, then 119.04 if sellers press harder. On the upside, 227.70 is the first ceiling to beat; above that, 263.92 comes into view. A push from today’s band to the first ceiling would mean a jump of roughly 15%. Dropping to the nearest floor would cut the price about 15%.

With soft momentum and price stuck below the longer average, SOL may drift sideways or dip toward 160 before buyers return. A clean break above 210 would flip the tone and open a run toward 228, sealing an 11-15% gain.

Short term leans neutral-bearish; medium term stays mildly bullish as long as 155 holds. However, long-term Solana price predictions remain optimistic, with analysts targeting $325 by end-2025 and potentially over $1,000 by 2030 as the ecosystem expands.

XYZ memecoin poised for major CEX listing

XYZVerse (XYZ) is a memecoin aiming for a significant price surge from $0.0001 to $0.1 during its presale. It has already achieved half of its fundraising goal, accumulating over $15 million, with the XYZ token currently priced at $0.0053. The token value is set to increase to $0.0054 in the next presale stage, offering early investors a greater discount. After the presale, XYZ will be listed on major centralized and decentralized exchanges.

Can XYZ become the next DOGE?

XYZVerse is forming a movement for those who crave significant profits in the crypto world. It’s for the relentless, the ambitious, and those driven to dominate. This coin embodies the spirit of true fighters, a mindset shared by athletes and sports enthusiasts alike.

At the heart of the XYZVerse narrative is XYZepe, a formidable contender in the memecoin arena. XYZepe is on a mission to ascend the charts and claim a top spot on CoinMarketCap. The question remains: will it follow in the footsteps of DOGE or SHIB and become the next viral sensation? Only time will tell.

A community-driven ecosystem

XYZVerse is a truly community-driven project, where active participation is highly rewarded. A substantial 10% of the total token supply, approximately 10 billion XYZ, has been allocated for airdrops, marking one of the largest airdrop initiatives ever recorded.

With robust tokenomics, strategic listings on both centralized (CEX) and decentralized exchanges (DEX), and consistent token burns, XYZ is engineered for sustained growth. Each strategic decision aims to enhance momentum, drive price appreciation, and cultivate a dedicated community that recognizes the potential for a groundbreaking future.

Conclusion

SOL looks good for a September surge. In parallel, the first all-sports memecoin XYZVerse aims to beat ATH records with a 1000x target, sports community drive, GameFi rollout, and media partners.

Bitpanda launches DeFi wallet amid record revenue growth

by admin August 19, 2025

Bitpanda has launched the Bitpanda DeFi Wallet, supporting over 5,000 tokens across major blockchains, just over a week after reporting record financial performance.

Summary

  • New Bitpanda DeFi Wallet supports 5,000+ tokens across multiple blockchain networks.
  • Launch comes on the heels of Bitpanda’s record $426M in revenue reported earlier this month.

In a press release shared with crypto.news, Bitpanda — one of Europe’s leading crypto platforms offering over 3,200 digital assets — has launched the Bitpanda DeFi Wallet, the second product in its Web3 suite.

The wallet allows users to trade, earn, and manage digital assets across multiple chains without leaving the app. At launch, it supports over 5,000 tokens and multiple blockchain networks including Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Polygon (POL), BNB Chain (BNB), Avalanche (AVAX), Optimism (OP), Base (BASE), and Arbitrum (ARB).

Key features include:

  • Multi-chain DeFi access with more networks planned
  • Smart swaps across 5,000+ tokens with optimized pricing
  • Self-custodial wallet with optional Bitpanda Backup for secure recovery
  • Curated DeFi yield pools, reviewed for transparency
  • Sponsored gas fees on select Layer 2 networks
  • Seamless integration with existing Bitpanda accounts, enabling transfers without manual address input

Bitpanda will also soon launch a Web3-native loyalty program, where users can earn points via onchain actions, with staked Vision (VSN) tokens acting as multipliers to maximize rewards — including exclusive perks and early access to new products.

Recent milestones for Bitpanda

The launch of the Bitpanda DeFi Wallet builds on a series of major milestones and strategic moves by the company.

Earlier this month, Bitpanda posted its strongest financial performance to date, generating $426 million in operating revenue, up 162% from the year before, driven by new partnerships and its growing range of regulated offerings.

The company also secured a MiCA license from Germany’s BaFin in January, enabling operations across all 27 EU member states under a unified regulatory framework, and obtained a broker-dealer license in Dubai, marking its first fully licensed expansion outside Europe.
