Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 4 Announced, Coming Next Year To PC

by admin August 19, 2025

The next entry in the Warhammer 40K series was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live today, with Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War IV getting unveiled and set for a 2026 released on PC.

German developer King Art Games s producing Dawn of War IV, and it will be published by Deep Silver. The original Dawn of War games were made by Relic Entertainment. You can wishlist Dawn of War IV on Steam now. This is the first game in the series not made by Relic.

“Return to the RTS series’ roots with deeply satisfying strategy gameplay. Take command of four unique Warhammer 40,000 factions, including the Adeptus Mechanicus in their series debut! Fight through 70+ epic campaign missions, as well as the replayable Last Stand, Skirmish and multiplayer modes,” reads the game’s official description.

“In solo or co-op play, command each faction through its own dedicated campaign, supported by spectacular CGI intros and fully animated cutscenes,” the game’s description continues.

The story was written by John French (Black Library).

Dawn of War IV supports matches against AI enemies in the Skirmish mode, along with 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 multiplayer against other humans.

The announcement of Dawn of War IV comes not long after a remaster of the original Dawn of War was released earlier this year.

Dawn of War IV was one of many announcements at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Check out the gallery below to see more of the big news and reveals.

PNY’s Overclocked RTX 5070 Ti Is Finally Selling at Retail

by admin August 19, 2025

If you’ve been hunting for a new GPU, you already know that getting one for its suggested retail price isn’t guaranteed. High demand, low supply, and a constantly shifting economic space have caused the new 50 Series graphics cards to hit the market well above the expected price, at least at launch.

Thankfully, the situation seems to be stabilizing a bit, as indicated by this deal on PNY’s overclocked example of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which is available on Amazon for its MSRP of $750. Even better, your purchase includes a copy of the upcoming Borderlands 4, potentially saving you $70 if you were planning on picking it up.

PNY

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB Overclocked

I spent some time with the Asus Prime version of the RTX 5070 Ti and was seriously impressed with its performance at multiple resolutions. It managed to stay above 120 frames per second at 1080p in almost every game I tested, making it a great choice for gamers who are still at the lower resolution and looking to max out their screen’s refresh. It also beat 90 fps in all of the test games at 2,560 x 1,440, which is great news for new system builders targeting the higher resolution. This version is overclocked by PNY, which should give you a couple more percentage points on these numbers.

Screenshot courtesy of Brad Bourque

As part of the newest generation of Nvidia GeForce GPUs, you also get access to DLSS 4 and the landmark feature, Multi-Frame Generation. The RTX 5070 Ti can leverage machine learning to produce up to three extra frames between each traditionally rendered frame, shooting your frame rate into the stratosphere in exchange for a bit of quality. While I wouldn’t rely on it for every game, I did an in-depth look in my review of the RTX 5090 Founders Edition (7/10, WIRED Recommends) that shows some of the effects it has on both image quality and frame rate.

If $750 sounds like a lot to spend, make sure to check out my full GPU buying guide, which lays out the different options from the latest generation of both Nvidia and AMD cards. As soon as you move past those sub-$400 budget cards, I think the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best balance of performance and price as an upgraded pick. It’s rare to see these cards listed for retail, and the included copy of Borderlands 4 really sweetens the deal, assuming you were going to play anyway, so I wouldn’t sleep on this if you’ve been considering an upgrade.

MetaMask plugs into Tron’s $26b ecosystem with native integration

by admin August 19, 2025

By natively integrating Tron, MetaMask is building a bridge for its users to a parallel digital economy that settles over $22 billion in value every single day and hosts over $26 billion in total value locked, according to TRONSCAN.

Summary

  • MetaMask is natively integrating Tron, giving its 100M users direct access to $26B in liquidity and $22B in daily settlement flows.
  • Tron becomes only the third non-Ethereum chain with native MetaMask support, after Solana and Sei.

According to a press release dated August 19, Consensys’ crypto wallet MetaMask has entered a strategic agreement with TRON DAO to natively integrate the blockchain directly into its interface, allowing its estimated 100 million users to directly access the Tron network’s deep liquidity pools and extensive dApp ecosystem without relying on third-party bridges or complex workarounds.

The move makes Tron only the third non-Ethereum chain to receive native MetaMask support, following Solana and Sei earlier this year. For MetaMask users, the change means direct access to Tron’s $26 billion ecosystem and its daily settlement flows of over $22 billion, most of it tied to Tether (USDT) transactions.

An alignment of crypto titans

In the press release, the partnership between MetaMask and Justin Sun’s Tron is framed as a shared commitment to “interoperability, user empowerment, and accessibility,” values both sides argue are essential as Web3 enters its next phase.

TRON DAO spokesperson Sam Elfarra said the wallet’s reach makes it a natural partner. “MetaMask’s extensive user base and established reputation make it a vital gateway to decentralized applications,” he noted, adding that the integration reinforces TRON’s role as a core layer of global digital finance.

For MetaMask, the integration is a critical step in its evolution from an Ethereum-centric utility into a true multi-chain aggregator, a necessity for retaining its top-dog status in an increasingly competitive wallet landscape. The move directly taps into Tron’s massive and active user base of over 324 million accounts, a significant portion of which resides in the high-growth markets of Asia, Africa, and South America.

“Supporting networks like TRON is part of our broader mission to make MetaMask the most versatile and user-friendly gateway to Web3. Integrating TRON helps us eliminate friction by supporting more of the networks people rely on.” Angel Gonzalez-Capizzi, Director of Business Development at MetaMask, said.

Market reaction

Market reaction to the news was notably muted, a potential sign that traders had already priced in the long-rumored integration. TRX, Tron’s native token, remained relatively flat following the news, exchanging hands at $0.35 as of press time, according to crypto.news data.

However, this short-term stability belies a stronger foundational trend; the token has been in a solid uptrend for most of this year, surging past its 2021 market cycle peak and gaining 37% year-to-date.

Tron Joins MetaMask With Native Integration

by admin August 19, 2025

Tron has officially joined MetaMask, the world’s most used crypto wallet made by Consensys. This news was shared through a new partnership with Tron DAO.

With this, it makes Tron only the third blockchain outside Ethereum to get full MetaMask support since the wallet started in 2016. Before Tron, MetaMask added Solana and BNB Smart Chain.

According to the press release, users can now use MetaMask to connect directly to the Tron network. This means users can send and receive TRX, work with TRC-20 tokens, use stablecoins, and even trade NFTs, all inside the wallet.

“MetaMask’s extensive user base and established reputation make it a vital gateway to decentralized applications,” said Tron DAO community spokesperson Sam Elfarra.

Tron founder Justin Sun added that “as stablecoin adoption accelerates, networks that can consistently deliver high throughput, liquidity depth, and low transaction costs are emerging as the backbone of digital finance.”

MetaMask Expands Beyond Ethereum

MetaMask has been working to add more blockchains beyond Ethereum. In May, it rolled out support for Solana through an extension and has plans to add Bitcoin later in 2025.

Angel Gonzalez-Capizzi, director of business development at MetaMask, said Tron’s strong base in Asia makes it an important chain for reaching users worldwide. Tron itself says it now processes almost nine million transactions daily and moves more than $22 billion in value each day, making it the top blockchain for USDT payments.

MetaMask & Tron’s Momentum in the Market

MetaMask was first released in 2016 and today has more than 100 million active users. The team has been expanding the wallet’s scope through new integrations.

Earlier this year, MetaMask also launched a self-custody crypto card with Mastercard, though it is only available to people on a waiting list. Consensys, the company behind MetaMask, has also considered launching its own token after U.S. regulators closed an investigation into the firm earlier this year.

Tron has grown fast since its launch in 2017. It has become one of the top 10 blockchains by size and is well known for handling stablecoin transfers at low cost. In the United States, Tron has seen new growth after recent regulatory changes.

In June, SRM Entertainment said it would change its name to Tron Inc. and use a treasury strategy based on TRX, with Sun as an adviser.

Bullish Raises $1.15B IPO Funds in Stablecoins

by admin August 19, 2025

Bullish (NYSE: BLSH), a global digital asset platform backed by billionaire investor Peter Thiel, said it has arranged to receive $1.15 billion in proceeds from its recent initial public offering in stablecoins.

The company made its market debut on August 14, 2025, in one of the most closely watched offerings of the year.

Bullish has arranged to receive $1.15 billion of proceeds from its recently completed initial public offering in stablecoins, which represents a historic step for the use of stablecoins in an initial public offering in the United States.https://t.co/hh9i22RS9I

— Bullish (@Bullish) August 19, 2025

The IPO raised more than $1 billion, with demand over 20 times greater than the number of shares available. On the first day, Bullish’s stock price jumped by 84%, showing strong excitement from investors. However, by today’s pre-market, the share price has slipped by 2.16% to $62.00, signaling some early price swings.

The company said most of the stablecoins it received were created, or “minted,” on the Solana network. Jefferies, which acted as the billing and delivery agent for the IPO, managed the minting process, including the converting and also helped deliver the stabelcoins.

The agent also worked with issues and platforms across the U.S., Europe, and Asia to complete the settlement. Bullish said the majority of proceeds were settled in USDC, along with a portion in EURC, with both sets of tokens custodied exclusively by Coinbase.

Other stablecoins that Bullish received included USD CoinVertible and EUR CoinVertible issued by Societe Generale-FORGE, Global Dollar from Paxos, PayPal USD also from Paxos, USD1 from World Liberty Financial, Agora Dollar from Agora, and EURAU from AllUnity.

As part of the settlement, Bullish also received Ripple USD (RLUSD), a stablecoin issued on the XRP Ledger by Ripple. In a short tweet, it congratulated the company for the “successful IPO”

“This is the first public listing to bring the settlement process onchain and sets a precedent for how stablecoins can shape future listings.” Ripple posted.

Congrats to @Bullish on a successful IPO! 👏

In a statement, David Bonanno, Chief Financial Officer of Bullish, said  “We view stablecoins as one of the most transformative and widespread use cases for digital assets. Internally, we leverage them for rapid and secure global fund transfers, especially on the Solana network.”

He also added that the collaboration with stablecoin issuers and their listings on Bullish Exchange showed how the firm’s infrastructure supported their businesses.

Valor Mortis will see Ghostrunner’s creators give Napoleonic era Europe the soulslike treatment in 2026

by admin August 19, 2025

Valor Mortis, a soulslike set during Napoleon’s 19th century conquest of Eastern Europe, has been revealed by Ghostrunner devs One More Level during Gamescom Opening Night Live’s preshow. It’s set for release in 2026.

Yep, if you’re a fan of games that drip with Frenchness and also revolve around beating up gaudily-health barred baddies before they do the same to you, this one might have you reaching for your musket and bicorne. That’s assuming the setting offers enough of a unique feel that Valor Mortis doesn’t resemble being trapped on a Fromsoft-imitation Elba.

Watch on YouTube

““With Valor Mortis, we wanted to try something new and original – a darker experience, while still offering players a true challenge,” One More Level CEO Szymon Bryla said. “After Ghostrunner, we knew we had the foundation to create a [first-person] title, but this time in a soulslike genre. At the same time, we wanted to stay true to what we do best – making demanding games for hardcore players, set in an engaging, expansive world, while showing that the studio has grown since our previous projects.”

The game’ll see you play as William, a Grande Armée soldier ressurected and given supernatural powers by the Nephtoglobin, a mysterious goop. Sadly, because video game, this goop has turned the world around him and his former comrades in arms into a plague-ridden hellscape prowled by mutants with extra limbs and bloated bodies.

The combat looks to add a BioShock-esque twist to the usual soulslike parry and dodge swordplay. You can dual-wield with guns like a flintlock pistol and abilities dubbed transmutations. The latter are William’s magic powers, and remind me a lot of plasmids. This time, it looks like you’ll be gaining the ability to shoot the likes of fire from your mitt by interacting with not quite dead bodies on the battlefield.

If there’s one thing the trailer emphasises, it’s that this game will not lack for battlefields full of dead bodies, with an entire montage dedicated to different locations in which the corpses are piled high. You’ll be able to get a look at those corpse piles if you sign up for a closed Valor Mortis playtest that’s set to kick off following Gamescom. Head to ValorMortis.com if you’re keen.

Or, wait until the full release, which maths tells me is sadly more than a hundred days away.

Denshattack! is a blend of Tony Hawk, trains and shonen anime

by admin August 19, 2025

Denshattack! is what happens when Tony Hawk trades in his skateboard for a high-speed Japanese train. Yes, you read that correctly.

Denshattack! is the latest game from Barcelona indie studio Undercoders, and it’s a delirious, high-speed action experience complete with flow states, a banging original soundtrack, flamboyant characters and coming-of-age drama. Players attempt to keep their train moving while jumping, wall riding, spinning, landing tricks and nailing combos. Between the rail-hopping action, there’s a fully voice-acted story (in English and Japanese) about overcoming oppression and finding your true friends. It’s a wacky mix of ideas, but it all comes together in a Jet Set Radio type of world that looks like a real thrill.

Undercoders is based in Spain, but the studio founders have spent a lot of time backpacking through Japan, visiting the trains specifically. In a virtual briefing ahead of Denshattack!‘s reveal at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, director David Jaumandreu and his team couldn’t stop giggling about how much they loved trains, and it was all fairly adorable.

Denshattack! is due out in early 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and it’ll be available day-one on Game Pass. It features music from lead composer Tee Lopes, who’s best known for Sonic Mania, Sonic Frontiers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and additional artists from video game music label Kid Katana will contribute to the soundtrack.

Bitcoin Treasury KindlyMD Stock Dives Following $679 Million BTC Buy

by admin August 19, 2025

In brief

  • Healthcare company KindlyMD said Tuesday that it spent $679 million to buy over 5,743 Bitcoin.
  • The firm pivoted to a Bitcoin treasury strategy earlier this year when it merged with holding company Nakamoto.
  • It is the latest company to morph into a crypto treasury.

Bitcoin treasury KindlyMD has added $679 million in BTC to its holdings, the company said Tuesday—though the firm’s stock has taken a plunge following the announcement.

The Nasdaq-listed company said that it had bought 5,743.91 BTC via its wholly owned subsidiary, Nakamoto Holdings, Inc, for an average price of about $118,205 per coin.

Bitcoin was recently trading for $113,200, down 2.4% over a 24-hour period and by more than 5% over the past week after hitting a new all-time high mark above $124,000 last week.

“This acquisition reinforces our conviction in Bitcoin as the ultimate reserve asset for corporations and institutions alike,” David Bailey, the company’s CEO said.

KindlyMD’s stock—which trades under the ticker NAKA—was down by more than 13% Tuesday to a price of $10.41. The firm, which focuses on providing healthcare data, in May announced a merger with holding company Nakamoto.

Nakamoto is a holding company co-founded by Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey with the intent of purchasing Bitcoin. Bailey advised President Donald Trump on crypto policy while the Republican candidate was campaigning last year.

KindlyMD said on Monday that it had closed a $200 million convertible note offering as part of its Bitcoin-buying strategy. It raised another $540 million in August via a private placement in public equity (PIPE) to buy the cryptocurrency.

The move is straight out of Strategy’s playbook: Raise cash to buy Bitcoin so investors can buy shares of a publicly traded company and get regulated exposure to the asset.

Strategy shifted from software development to focus on Bitcoin accumulation in 2020. It is the largest corporate holder of the asset with 629,376 BTC worth over $71 billion.

Some 168 public companies now have Bitcoin treasuries, according to bitcointreasuries.net, holding a total of more than 983,000 Bitcoin.

Some experts have warned that the crypto play has its risks, and that pivoting to crypto won’t necessarily save a failing business. But companies keep popping up, and some are amassing billions of dollars’ worth of digital assets.

Other notable treasuries include Twenty One, started by a combination of crypto and traditional finance powerhouses—Tether, Bitfinex, Cantor Fitzgerald, and SoftBank. It holds 43,500 BTC—almost $5 billion worth as of this writing—although it has yet to begin trading.
