Pi Network price has been locked in a prolonged downtrend, but price action is now pressing into a major high-timeframe support at $0.35. A potential double-bottom structure and early signs of accumulation could pave the way for a rebound toward $0.70.

Pi Network’s (Pi Network) token continues to trade within a clear bearish structure, marked by consecutive lower highs and lower lows. However, the market may be approaching a critical turning point as price consolidates around the $0.35–$0.33 support zone, which aligns with the value area low. This level has held through multiple retests, suggesting the potential for a bottoming structure to form if buyers step in with conviction.

From a structural perspective, this is a prime location for Pi Network to carve out an accumulation phase. An accumulation period typically develops when price trades sideways at a key support, absorbing selling pressure before staging a breakout. Confirmation will require not only holding the $0.35 region but also breaking the ongoing downtrend by establishing a higher high above the most recent rejection point.

The 50-day moving average remains another key level to watch. Price has consistently struggled beneath this dynamic resistance since losing the value area high. A decisive daily close above the 50-day MA would be an important sign of a trend reversal, indicating that momentum is shifting back in favor of buyers.

Volume analysis also provides cautious optimism. Recent sessions have seen a notable uptick in bullish activity, though sustained above-average volume is still required to confirm strength behind the move. If accumulation persists at current levels, coupled with increased participation, the path toward $0.70 resistance becomes increasingly probable.

What to expect in the coming price action

Pi Network remains in a fragile technical state, but the confluence of support around $0.35 and emerging bullish signals hints at a possible bottoming scenario. A clean break of the downtrend and a higher high would set the stage for a recovery toward $0.70. Until then, the market is likely to consolidate in this accumulation range as buyers and sellers battle for control.

The big Black Ops 7 media blowout has officially begun, kicking off, of course with last night’s gamescom Opening Night Live reveal. The trailer coincided with the release of plenty of new information covering many aspects of the game, with the promise of more to come.

There are, however, several new and returning features well worth diving into.

For one, Carry Forward, the feature that allows you to bring some of the content from last year’s game into the new one, is coming back. Just like with Modern Warfare 2 to Modern Warfare 3 in 2023 – when the feature was first introduced, Black Ops 7 is doing the same with Black Ops 6’s content.

Weapons, operators, XP tokens, GobbleGums (Zombies), skins and other cosmetic items from last year’s game will be usable in Black Ops 7’s multiplayer, as well as Warzone. This will kick off a few weeks post launch, with the start of Season One.

There are, of course, some exceptions. You won’t be able to use skins for equipment and Scorestreaks that don’t exist, or work differently, in the new game. Weapon camos will carry forward, but they’re only going to apply to BO6 weapons, not BO7’s.

The Black Ops 7 campaign, playable in up to four players in co-op, has its fair share of new innovations, too. We’ve covered the campaign’s Endgame, an open-ended co-op mission meant to be played multiple times that borrows from roguelites, RPGs, and extraction games.

But Treyarch is also introducing a new concept called Global Progression, which is something I am surprised took Call of Duty this long to implement. While we’ve been enjoying cross progression between multiplayer, co-op (Zombies etc.), and Warzone for years now, the campaign has always been left out of that.

In Black Ops 7, you earn XP as you play the campaign. What this means in practice is that you’ll be levelling up your weapon (even unlocking camos), and unlocking other challenges that transfer over to multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

In a blog post, Treyarch specifically named weapon Prestige (which is also coming back with BO7), standard weapon progression, camos, Calling Cards, daily challenges and much of the progression side of things.

Further building on that ethos of connected progression, Black Ops 7 is introducing the ability to share your Gunsmith weapon builds. These can be saved and sent directly to friends, but you can even generate a code for your build so anyone else can immediately use it without having to replicate it piece-by-piece.

More on the multiplayer side of things will be revealed on September 30 at Call of Duty: Next. The game’s beta will begin shortly after, running October 2-8. The full game arrives November 14 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Very much right on schedule, Krafton has released Island Getaway, the long-teased DLC pack for life sim game inZOI. The first time we got solid details of the add-on was back in July, when the developer confirmed it would be revealed at gamescom.

Later, an official release date was announced, and it turned out that you won’t actually have to be attending gamescom in person to play the DLC, because its release date is August 20. Well, that day has now arrived.

Island Getaway launched earlier today, free to all owners of inZOI. The DLC is part of a larger patch, version 0.3.0, which brings several quality of life tweaks and other updates across the board. This also means that inZOI is now available on Mac OS.

Island Getaway adds an entirely new map to the game. It’s called Cahaya, and it’s split into two islands. The whole thing is inspired by Southeast Asian locales, and that’s what the new activities and outfits are themed after.

Lifestyle activities (farming, fishing, mining) are among the core features of this update. There’s also the arrival of vehicles to look forward to, which let you travel around faster and more easily. There’s plenty in the patch notes that inZOI players will appreciate.

After enduring a drawdown of more than 55% earlier this year and lagging peers amid tariff-driven risk-off sentiment, ether (ETH) has staged a powerful comeback, Wall Street bank Citi (C) said in a research report on Tuesday.

The second-largest cryptocurrency is now up nearly 30% year-to-date, testing bitcoin’s (BTC) dominance in a way not seen since late last year. This time, however, ether is taking market share rather than ceding it, the report said.

Spot ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have seen a surge of demand. Cumulative net inflows now top $13 billion, up from just $2.6 billion in April, analysts Alex Saunders and Nathaniel Rupert wrote.

As ETF balances grow, flows are playing a more direct role in price dynamics, the analysts said.

Ether treasury firms have also joined the bid, with large purchases beginning in May. Their collective holdings now hover near $10 billion at current market values, while the equity valuations of these companies have expanded alongside ether’s rally, the report noted.

Blockchain data shows large wallets accumulating ether while smaller investors trim exposure. Ether balances on centralized exchanges continue to decline, signaling a shift of supply back on-chain. This dynamic could be amplifying the latest leg higher, creating a squeeze-like effect, the report added.

While the rally has been sharp, the bank’s analysts caution it isn’t purely technical. On-chain activity has picked up, reinforcing the move with stronger fundamentals. Combined with a macro backdrop that resembles a “goldilocks” environment, neither too hot nor too cold, ether’s resurgence could have legs, particularly with supportive regulatory signals and bullish narratives in play.

Unimpressive Bounce Maintains Risk to Support Around $112K

bulls are attempting to establish an interim low around $113,000, but the effort appears weak in terms of both price and volume. So far, the bounce has been barely notable, with upside capped above $114,000. Additionally, volumes have stayed low relative to what we observed during the early Tuesday drop, as seen on the hourly chart.

The weak bounce is consistent with bearish momentum signals, as the 50-, 100-, and 200-hour simple moving averages (SMAs) are aligned in descending order and trending downward.

On the daily chart, prices have convincingly broken below the rising trendline support, signaling a shift from bullish to bearish momentum. Both the longer-term MACD histogram (50,100,9) and the more commonly used MACD (12,26,0) are showing increasing negative momentum, with deeper bars below the zero line.

Therefore, the odds appear to be stacked in favor of a continued move lower. The first level of support is $11,982, from which the market turned higher on Aug. 3. The 100-day SMA is seen at $11,053. If these levels are taken out, the focus would shift to the 200-day SMA at $100,484.

A convincing move above the 50-day SMA at $116,033 would negate the bearish outlook.

We’ve covered the best portable monitors here on Tom’s Hardware for a while, and it’s hard not to be impressed with the gains that’ve been made in a few short years regarding availability, quality, and pricing. We’ve seen an explosion in low-cost monitors, with many now available for under $100 (and even under $50). The overall build quality and image quality of currently available monitors are remarkable.

With so many products vying for your attention, it’s hard to stand out from the pack. However, the Aura is bringing out the big guns with its Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max. We’ve reviewed several portable monitors that include “triple” in their name, but those products featured two external displays and counted your laptop’s internal display as panel number three. However, Aura includes three 15.6-inch 1080p panels, which unfurl to combine for 43 inches of total horizontal screen real estate.

It’s a lot to take in, and the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max is undoubtedly an impressive piece of kit that stands out in this space. However, its size and weight limit its effectiveness as a true portable monitor.

Design of the Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max

The immense size of the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max was evident from the moment I took possession of the shipping box. Not only was it the size of a box that would fit a large 17-inch gaming laptop, but it also weighs about the same. I opened the box to find a well-cushioned Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max folded up as tight as a bug in a rug.

Before attempting to unfold the device, I consulted the user manual (something I don’t often do, because I’m stubborn) to learn how to complete the process correctly. Upon consulting the document, the process was relatively straightforward. I unlocked two tabs that secure the supporting arms for the central display. I next lifted the side arms into the third detent on the bottom of the chassis rails, which positions the central display in the highest position above your desk (9.8 inches). I used the second (middle) indent without issue, putting the central display at 8.2 inches, but the first detent was unusable (3.9-inch height). The weight of the black aluminum frame and three displays caused the supporting arms to slip out of the first detent. When that happens, the entire unit collapses. However, I found that the first detent would have been too low for my tastes anyway, so I didn’t force the issue.

With that said, with the supporting arms locked into the third detent, I swiveled the central display up from its stowed position so that it was facing me. I then unfolded the two flanking displays to provide the full 43 inches of screen real estate. When unfolded, the central display can be tilted forward or back, while the flanking displays can swing inward and outward.

The entire apparatus is surprisingly tight and sturdy, which is a welcome feature. The tightness refers to the large amount of force required to pivot the central display to your preferred viewing angle. The sturdiness is afforded by the all-metal construction, which contributed to the considerable weight of the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max (7 pounds). The only disappointment was the issue with the collapsing arm while using the first detent.

With the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max in its fully workable position, I was able to observe its other intricacies. There are four physical buttons: power, up, down, and menu/exit. There are also three mini-HDMI ports, one USB-C port for video, and another USB-C port for powering the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max. A 65-watt power adapter with two USB-C and one USB-A port is included in the box, and the monitor supports 60-watt power pass-through. The Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max also includes two 2-watt speakers.

Connecting and Using the Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max

Before I connected the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max to my laptop, I once again consulted the included instruction manual to determine the required steps. At this point, I noticed that the company’s website is misspelled on both the front and back of the manual. The website is listed as aura-dislays.com instead of aura-displays.com. That’s a bit tacky, but getting the correct website pulled up in my browser wasn’t exactly rocket science.

The next issue I encountered was with the drivers necessary to get this three-panel monitor to function correctly. The manual pointed me to a link to Silicon Motion’s website to download drivers for the SM76x chipset. However, typing the URL into my browser gave me a 404 error. So, I instead typed “SM76x drivers” into my search bar, which took me right to the correct download page. Since I’m testing on an Apple MacBook Pro, I downloaded the appropriate software for macOS.

In this case, the software package installed Silicon Motion’s Instant View, allowing you to easily mirror or extend multiple displays on a Mac (or Windows) system. With Instant View installed, I next began plugging in the assortment of cables.

I first used the included 65-watt wall adapter to run power to the USB-C input on the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max. I then ran a cable from the second USB-C port on the monitor to my MacBook Pro (M3 Pro). With this setup, only the left and central displays are activated. The right panel remained blank. So, I took the included mini-HDMI cable and plugged one end into the monitor and the other into my MacBook Pro. At that point, all three displays (four, including my MacBook Pro’s 14-inch panel) were alive.

When I first saw the overabundance of screens in front of me, I was initially overwhelmed, but quickly began my tests. The first step was to configure the displays in macOS settings to match their appearance in the real world. That meant my laptop’s internal display at the bottom, and the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max’s three displays positioned above. I then verified that all three displays were outputting at the specified 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60 Hz.

OSD on the Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max

The Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max has a rather interesting on-screen display (OSD). Some multi-display portable monitors have no control buttons and no OSD, while others give you physical controls for each display panel (KYY X90D). However, the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max takes a different approach.

The monitor uses a single set of OSD buttons that control all three panels. Pressing the menu button once presents the OSD to control the left panel. Press the menu again, and it switches to the middle panel. Pressing it again moves to the right panel. Not only does this arrangement provide individual control for each display panel, but it also saves on manufacturing costs by not requiring two additional sets of redundant buttons.

You have basic brightness, contrast, sharpness, and color controls here that you can configure per-monitor. You can also switch input sources, enable the low blue light filter, and adjust ECO modes. There’s nothing fancy about the OSD or the features it presents, but it’s wholly sufficient for the productivity-focused mission of the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max.

Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max Display Performance

The Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max has three displays, as its name suggests. Each one is identical, offering a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. While some portable monitors can run at up to 360 Hz, this is a productivity-focused monitor where 60 Hz is adequate. Each display panel is also covered with an anti-reflective coating to minimize glare.

Aura talks a big game with its claimed specifications, but our testing showed some discrepancies, at least regarding maximum brightness. Aura lists the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max as having a maximum brightness rating of 350 nits, but our light meter measured 244 nits with brightness set to 100 percent in the OSD, which represents a 30 percent shortfall. We ran the tests multiple times and tried every combination of available picture settings to rectify the brightness issue to no avail. That’s not a good start for a portable monitor that retails for $599.

With that said, in my home environment, the brightness available with the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max is sufficient. I first tested the monitor downstairs in my living room, which has an overhead LED light in the ceiling fan, a couple of end table lamps, and natural light coming in from my back windows. The monitor was plenty bright in this scenario. I next moved the monitor to my home office, which is overly bright due to ten 75-watt (equivalent) LED lamps mounted on tracks. This is my typical work environment, and again, I had no complaints about the brightness.

Color performance put the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max near the top of the class for multi-screen portable monitors. The monitor covered 85.4% of the DCI-P3 color space and 120.6% of the sRGB color space. Those figures put it just slightly ahead of the dual-screen Limink LK14 and well ahead of the KYY K90A and K90D.

I used the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max for a wide variety of content, including web browsers (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari), image editing apps (Pixelmator Pro), and productivity apps (Microsoft Word and Excel). I also spent a reasonable amount of time playing movies and TV shows on the panels, given that there’s plenty of screen real estate to go around when you’re dealing with four total displays (when counting my MacBook Pro’s internal display).

I rewatched a couple of second-season episodes of Star Wars: Andor and even watched the entirety of the classic action flick Predator on each of the three panels. The colors looked rich and accurate, as I peeked at the vibrant dresses and cloaks worn by the guests, including Mon Mothma, who danced with reckless abandon at her daughter’s wedding.

Likewise, Predator is a nearly 40-year-old movie that I enjoy watching repeatedly. I zeroed in particularly on the final battle sequence between Dutch and the Predator, which takes place at night. While the blacks didn’t look as deep as you’d find on a Mini LED or OLED panel, the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max performed admirably for an IPS panel during dark scenes. I watched every bone-breaking punch, with gushes of blood shooting from Dutch’s mouth as he got pummeled. I also enjoy the reds, purples, greens, and blues that appear on screen when we get the Predator’s infrared thermal vision viewpoint as he gains the upper hand.

Although it’s easy to overlook when the displays take center stage with the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max, it also has two 2-watt speakers. As is the case with most speakers on portable monitors, they’re good enough for playing back OS sounds or taking the occasional Google Meet/Teams/Zoom call, but they are subpar for music and movie playback. Bass is non-existent, and the overall sound output is relatively muted despite the massive footprint of the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max.

Bottom Line

The Aura Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max is an impressive piece of hardware. It’s by far the largest “portable” monitor I’ve tested, given its 43-inch wingspan. That’s to be expected, as it’s also the first triple-monitor setup that has graced our labs, as we typically see dual-panel units.

The Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max impressed with its aluminum construction, colorful panels, and a variety of ports to accommodate various laptop configurations. However, its size and weight will make many think twice about transporting this device regularly for travel purposes. While it is manageable to carry to different meeting rooms in your office, carrying this 7-pound portable monitor in addition to your laptop on a work trip is quite a burden.

There are also some performance issues, such as the shortfalls in the stated maximum brightness and what we measured in the real world. And there’s an actual physical issue with attempting to use the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max in its lowest height position (it doesn’t work).

With a price tag of $599, we expect near-perfection from a portable monitor, but the Triple Aero 15.6 Pro Max falls a bit short due to its flaws. However, if you absolutely must have a triple-panel option that can be stowed when not in use, it’s worth considering if you can stomach the lofty price tag. If three additional monitors is overkill for you, consider the Limink LK14 at $299 or the KYY X90D at $239.

Chamath Palihapitiya Returns With $250M SPAC Targeting AI

Chamath Palihapitiya, former Facebook executive and once-called SPAC king, is making a high-profile return with American Exceptionalism Acquisition Corp. A, a $250 million blank-check company. 

The special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) will seek mergers in artificial intelligence (AI), decentralized finance (DeFi), energy production, or defense, according to its latest regulatory filing. 

As per the filing, the plan is to offer 25 million shares at $10 each. It will be listed under the ticker ‘AEXA’ on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and Banco Santander will lead the offering. Further, Steven Trieu, Group CFO at venture firm Social Capital, has been appointed as the CEO, with Palihapitiya acting as Chairman. 

Palihapitiya, Founder of Social Capital, has invested in key startups across these sectors, including AI firm Groq, clean-energy company Palmetto Clean Technology, and defense innovator Saildrone Inc. He also backs crypto-related ventures and has been a long-time advocate of Bitcoin, blockchain, and stablecoins.

Investors are chasing high-growth sectors. CoreWeave Inc. shares have jumped 132% since March, Nvidia Corp. added $1.1 trillion in market value over the past year, and DeFi platforms like Circle Internet Group Inc. and Bullish surged after recent IPOs. Defense stocks, including Palantir Technologies Inc., soared nearly 400% in the past year.

Despite the excitement, Palihapitiya warned retail investors about the high risks, noting that five of his previous SPACs, including Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc., lost significant value post-merger.

Experts say Palihapitiya’s profile and connections could help the SPAC succeed. Louis Camhi of RLH Capital noted that “serial dealmakers like Chamath often attract investors eager for high-growth exposure.” 

Jay Ritter, finance professor at the University of Florida, added that the SPAC’s success depends on finding a quality target at a fair price.

BioShock 4 studio Cloud Chamber lay off staff, as ex-Diablo lead Rod Fergusson comes aboard

2K have laid off an unspecified number of staff at Cloud Chamber, amid efforts to rework BioShock 4. These cuts come at the same time former Diablo lead Rod Fergusson joins as Cloud Chamber’s new studio head, taking up the position recently vacated by Kelley Gilmore.

A report from Bloomberg earlier this month revealed that the game had failed an internal progress check. Gilmore and creative director Hogarth de la Plante reportedly moved into different jobs as part of a resulting leadership shakeup. Despite all of this, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has insisted, amid chatting some nonsense about great being the new great, that the game will still make it to release.

That brings us to yesterday, when Bloomberg’s Jason Schrier reported that Cloud Chamber were letting folks go as they announced Fergusson’s impending arrival. IGN report that 2K haven’t said how many employees have been affected by the cuts, while publishing part of an email to staff from 2K president David Ismailer that aims to explain the reasoning behind them.

“Work on the next BioShock game has been underway for several years,” it reads. “While we’re excited about the foundational gameplay elements of the project, we’ve made the decision with studio leadership to rework certain aspects that are core to a BioShock game, and in doing so are reducing the size of the development team to focus on this work and give the game more time in development.”

Also, former Diablo boss Rod Fergusson is taking over as Cloud Chamber’s new studio head. More than a decade ago, he joined the troubled BioShock Infinite and helped salvage that game’s production.

The email reportedly concluded with Ismailer describing the multiple people losing their livelihoods and the hiring of one guy as making for a “day of mixed emotions”, before going full exec rah-rah speech about the state of BioShock. “These changes are rooted in 2K’s firm confidence in BioShock as one of the most beloved franchises, and our commitment to deliver the best game in franchise history,” he declared.

I’ve reached out to 2K for comment.

As for what the future looks like for BioShock 4, it’s clear why 2K have gone for ex-Blizzard man Fergusson. The veteran developer was previously brought in at Irrational games to help get 2013’s BioShock Infinite out of the door, having done the same for the likes of Gears of War.

Way of the Sword might be a more forgiving kind of samurai epic

Capcom’s Onimusha series has been on a long hiatus. Combining Resident Evil-style rendered backgrounds with more agile characters, adding in demons, magic and a feudal Japan setting, the series span multiple sequels — and consoles — til the fourth entry in 2006.

Roughly two decades (and console eras) later, Capcom has returned to the series, even getting the definitive samurai actor, Tom Cruise Mifune Toshiro, to play the hero, the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. At Gamescom, the company is now demoing an early slice of Way of the Sword, which covers most (but not all) of the game shown at SGF 2025 just a few months ago.

It’s an interesting time to return to the samurai-meets-demonic-threat universe of Onimusha, following a sudden boom in games tapping into feudal Japan. Most recently, the latest Assassin’s Creed was set there, while, Sony’s upcoming Ghost of Yotei (not to mention its predecessor) both tap bushido and swordplay in historical Japan.

While I played through the demo, I made a lot of mental comparisons to Sekiro – a game that’s now several years old and still unbeaten by me. Onimusha draws together similar themes of demon forces run amok, but has a more forgiving approach. Gameplay centers around blocks and parries, plus weak and strong attacks, all while pulling in orbs dropped by dying enemies that act as the game’s currency. (Health orbs are also dropped by certain foes.)

The Oni gauntlet that absorbs these souls can also be used to see invisible demons and unlock areas that are spiritually blocked. It’ll also act like a sort-of demonic movie projector, showing what happened during the demon invasion in the area.

Early enemies were predictably sluggish demon swordsmen and archers, getting me back up to speed with how Onimusha fights play out. Even if it predictably looks lightyears ahead of its predecessors, Way of the Sword doesn’t reinvent how you cut up these demon hordes.

In comparison to other action games, guarding seems very forgiving. You can hold the guard button down, and it’ll block basic projectiles and melee attacks from all directions I spent some time leaning into exhausting stamina gauges, timing parries for one-hit Issen critical attack and batting away arrows back where they came from.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s satisfying and fun, but I’m itching to see how the series will build on what’s pretty basic attack flow. Musashi had acccess to a dual-short sword special attack, Two Celestials, that barrages the enemy with attacks and tops up his health levels.

This suggests more special attacks and magical flourishes should open up later in the game. The preview during SGF 2025 also showed ways to utilize the environment for defensive attacks, holding up wooden boards to block arrows, for instance, although that didn’t trigger during my playthrough.

The highlight of the demo was a confrontation with Musashi’s rival, Ganryu Sasaki. He’s great villain fodder — and has also been somehow gifted his own Oni gauntlet. The duel was the only time I felt under threat during the demo, and even then, I didn’t die once. There’s enough of a health meter to test yourself against Sasaki’s lavish sword attacks and lunges. Once you wear down more powerful enemies, you can make a single, concentrated attack to either glean more orbs from them or hit for heavy-duty damage.

The early taste of Way of the Sword is a fun, easy romp, so I’m curious to see how Capcom evolves the formula of Onimusha — and where the true challenges might lie.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set to be released in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
