RFK Jr. Poses for Weird Photos With Argentina’s President as They Plot Alternative to World Health Organization

by admin May 28, 2025

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a fringe anti-vaxxer who somehow became head of America’s health agencies under President Donald Trump, met with the president of Argentina and discussed establishing a new alternative to the World Health Organization, according to a tweet from Kennedy on Tuesday. And while the substance of their meeting is important, all anyone can notice on social media is their bizarre photoshoot.

Your eyes don’t deceive you. That’s the Secretary of Health and Human Services holding a chainsaw that belongs to Milei and reads “las fuerzas del cielo” in Portuguese. Translated into English, it means “the forces of heaven.”

Milei, a far-right ally of President Trump, campaigned on promises to deliver austerity to his country and slash government spending, often wielding his chainsaw. And ever since, people who meet with Milei will often hold the chainsaw themselves. Billionaire oligarch Elon Musk waved the chainsaw around earlier this year at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where Musk looked absolutely blitzed out of his mind.

That conference in February, it should be noted, was the same CPAC gathering where two other speakers (including Steve Bannon) did Nazi-style salutes that mimicked Musk’s gestures on Jan. 20.

It’s particularly odd for Kennedy to be posing with a chainsaw, considering he was investigated for using a chainsaw to hack the head off a dead whale two decades ago. Kennedy’s daughter described how the head was strapped to the top of the family car and said that whale juice was streaming down into the open windows. Kennedy called the investigation a weaponization of the government, and it was later dropped.

Kennedy posted other photos from the strange meeting at Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Tuesday, including another where Milei is seated at the head of the table and the chainsaw is in the foreground. Needless to say, the vibes are straight out of The Shining.

A group of people seated around a table, including RFK Jr. and Javier Milei, with a chainsaw on the table in front of them. Photo: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. / X

In another era, these photos would be mind-boggling and come to define the legacy of the politicians involved. But here in the year 2025, it’s just another day that ends in Y.

What did these guys actually discuss? Apparently the Milei and Trump governments want to create some kind of woo-woo public health body that competes with the World Health Organization. Trump pulled the U.S. out of the WHO on his first day back as the American president on Jan. 20, and and Milei followed suit on Feb. 5.

“I had a wonderful meeting with Argentine President @JMilei about our nations’ mutual withdrawal from the WHO and the creation of an alternative international health system based on gold-standard science and free from totalitarian impulses, corruption, and political control,” Kennedy wrote.

What makes the World Health Organization totalitarian? Kennedy doesn’t get into specifics. But some far-right figures have claimed that WHO colluded with China to hide the “real” origins of the covid-19 pandemic. The Trump regime’s gallery of health-adjacent weirdos insist covid-19 was created in a lab and unleashed upon the world either intentionally or accidentally. Most scientists still believe covid-19 has natural origins.

Kennedy has been busy in recent weeks, firing vital employees of the agencies he runs, including the FDA and CDC, and rolling out new policies. The health secretary was on a podcast Tuesday called “Ultimate Human” where he suggested government scientists would no longer be allowed to publish in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and The Lancet. Those are, of course, the most prestigious medical journals, but Kennedy called them “corrupt,” according to Politico.

Kennedy would instead like American scientists to publish their work in “in-house” journals. As luck would have it, FDA head Marty Makary and NIH director Jay Bhattacharya recently launched their own medical journal called the Journal of the Academy of Public Health. Science magazine called the journal’s editorial policies “unusual,” and real scientists have noted the journal seems to be comprised of “a small clique of contrarians around the COVID pandemic.”

Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy: Which Deck Is Best?

by admin May 28, 2025

Most Final Fantasy fans have probably heard about the upcoming FF-themed set coming to Magic the Gathering on June 12th. One of the biggest products of the collaboration is a collection of four pre-constructed decks for MTG’s popular “Commander” format. Each deck will focus on a different game in the long-running JRPG series including FFVI, FFVII, FFX and FFX. This guide will help give a quick explanation of what Commander is, and what to expect from each deck to help you pick the right one—assuming you don’t grab all of them, that is.

Blasphemous 2 Developer Interview

What is Commander?

Commander is a spin on the standard Magic ruleset that is generally played with 3-5 players. It is great for those in a group who want everybody to be involved in a game instead of pairing off to play standard matches. The decks for Commander are also different, requiring exactly 100 cards with no duplicates (other than lands) as opposed to MTG’s standard ruleset which requires at least 60. The other interesting thing is that each Commander deck has a special card called a, you guessed it, Commander who the deck is built around to take advantage of their abilities. The nice thing about the FF pre-constructed Commander decks, is that these are ready to play so you and a couple friends can each pick one up for your next game night. But which one should you choose?

A crash course in Magic the Gathering’s Color Wheel

Before we dive into the decks, it’s important to be aware of the basics of Magic the Gathering. Each card has either one or a combination of five colors. These are blue, green, red, white and black.

  • Blue cards specialize in countering spells. These decks are usually built to have longer games as your opponents burn through cards before you are able to set up your chains of cards.
  • Green Cards are usually used to build ramp decks. These specialize in gathering more resources (lands) faster than your opponent to play stronger cards quickly, preventing them from being able to counterattack.
  • Red Cards are aggressive. They have low cost so that you can flood the board early and attack your opponent directly.
  • White Cards are used to remove your opponents cards and bolster your defenses for their attacks.
  • Black Cards are focused on sacrificing your own creatures and spells and then allowing you to search your deck for specific cards needed for combos.

Now that you know the basics of each color, let’s look at each deck!

Terra and the FFVI Deck

Terra is the Commander for FFVI deck, which will be running red, black and white. Her abilities seem to mostly involve her red and black nature by allowing you to sacrifice cards to give her flying allowing her to directly attack your opponent or remove cards. This will be a good deck for those who want to play aggressively and have unique tricks to mess with your opponent, or if you love FFVI.

Cloud and the FFVII Deck

Cloud is going to be in a deck with red, green and white. To replicate the experience of equipping materia to your party in the original PSX game, Cloud is able to add equipment when he is played. He also allows you to draw a card for every creature you have that has something equipped that is attacking when he attacks. Cloud’s will be a great deck for those who want to power up their creatures while also having multiple strategies to choose from by consistently drawing cards. Also a good choice for those who love FFVII.

Tidus and the FFX Deck

Tidus is a green, white and blue card with abilities that simulate the Sphere Grid by allowing you to place a counter on a creature you control. Then, he can use his ability “Cheer,” which allows you to draw and card and add a counter to another creature when a creature with a counter attacks. This is a great deck for those who want to build up resources by drawing cards which can then be used for counterspells. It’s also a good choice if you love FFX.

Y’shtola and the FFXIV Deck

Finally, Y’shtola is a white, blue and of course black for the black mage. She is arguably the most powerful Commander of the four with two strong abilities. The first allows you to draw a card at the end of your turn if either player lost four or more life in that turn, allowing you to draw a potential counterspell for your opponent’s upcoming turn. Even more impressive is her second ability which deals two damage to your opponent while healing two damage from you everytime you play a card with a cost of three or greater. Y’shtola is a great option for those who want to chip away at their enemies health and be rewarded for it, or if you love FFXIV.

Magic The Gathering can be a little intimidating for new players, so if you’re just coming to it as a Final Fantasy fan, you’re likely to be a bit overwhelmed at first. Hopefully this guide will help you pick out the right deck so you can get a FF-themed taste of the long-running TCG.

$150 Million Bitcoin Transfer Stuns Major US Exchange

by admin May 28, 2025

As the cryptocurrency market sees mixed price actions among top crypto assets, the renowned blockchain tracking platform, Whale Alert, has spotted a massive crypto transfer carrying more than one hundred million dollars’ worth of Bitcoin.

On May 27, the tracker revealed that the leading U.S.-based crypto exchange, Coinbase, has received a large Bitcoin transfer involving 1,588 BTC worth over $150 million.

According to the data provided, the massive Bitcoin transfers were made in two separate consecutive transactions and completed in less than an hour.

Each of the transfers was made from anonymous wallets. The first transaction involved 910 BTC and the second 678 BTC, valued at $100,220,361 and $74,686,024, respectively.

Bitcoin selling pressure ahead?

With massive Bitcoin transfers like this being spotted on major cryptocurrency exchanges, crypto investors fear that selling pressures from Bitcoin whales might be incoming.

This move has triggered concerns among investors, as large amounts of BTC flowing into exchanges from self-custodial wallets have often been traced to selling activities among high-profile investors or institutions.

You Might Also Like

However, since the reason behind the Bitcoin transfer was not clarified, there are chances that the transfers could be attempts among whales to rebalance their portfolios.

Over the past hours, the price of Bitcoin has moved in an upside trajectory, suggesting that there were no negative impacts induced by pressures from the large transfers.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows that Bitcoin has increased decently by 1.06% over the last day. As such, the asset is trading at $110,194 as of press time.

Source: CoinMarketCap

This shows a decent 1.59% decrease from the all-time high of $111,970 it achieved five days ago. This continued surge in Bitcoin’s price is largely attributable to consistent inflows and rising demand experienced by Bitcoin ETFs.

Earlier, U.Today reported a staggering 7,869 BTC flowing into spot Bitcoin ETFs in just one day.

XRP Flashes Bearish Signal as Staking Activity Declines

by admin May 28, 2025

Despite the recent crypto market rally that saw XRP record massive daily gains, the latest data from on-chain monitoring firm XRPSCAN suggests that DeFi participants on the network have slowed down as market uncertainty rises.

12,906,712 XRP staked

According to the data provider, the total amount of XRP locked in automated market maker (AMM) pools has declined to 12,906,712 XRP as of May 27.

Source: XRPSCAN

While AMM pools are mechanisms that allow the provision of liquidity on the XRP Ledger DEX, the decision among XRP users to lock in their funds in the AMM pools signals solid confidence in the token’s potential.

Nonetheless, a downturn in this metric suggests that the interest among investors to stake their tokens has reduced, suggesting that investors are less confident about XRP’s future performance.

Despite this plunge in staking activities, the data further revealed that the total number of active AMM pools providing XRP liquidity has increased to 20,299. This increase in active AMM pools despite the decrease in the total amount of XRP pooled suggests that there is a decent shift in how liquidity is distributed across the network.

You Might Also Like

Meanwhile, it also appears that more AMM pools have been created with smaller amounts of XRP in them, possibly due to the increased volatility in XRP’s price or growing fear among investors as market uncertainty looms.

While the reason behind the plunge in the amount of XRP locked across AMM pools cannot be clearly determined, it is attributable to recent price dips experienced by the token.

With the crypto market experiencing mixed price actions amid recurring price corrections, investors are in doubt if there is still more to expect from the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

As such, they have taken caution by staking lesser amounts of tokens. According to data from CoinMarketCap, XRP has slowed down on its rapid upsurge and has traded steadily with just a 0.29% increase since the last day.

Source: CoinMarketCap

Notably, XRP is trading at $3.32 as of press time, despite reaching a high of $2.45 five days ago. While the token has maintained resilience above the $2 mark, investors are optimistic about a potential breakout in the price of the token.

Disneyland turns 70, and it’s celebrating with MagicBand+, LED spectacles, and next-gen shows

by admin May 28, 2025

While there are Disney Parks worldwide, there’s always something special about the first. And right now, Disneyland – the park that started it all way back in 1955 – is celebrating its 70th Anniversary, and you could say it’s throwing a party.

And it celebrates the past and looks towards the future. As the celebration is in swing, you’ll see the return of classic nighttime spectaculars and the introduction of entirely new ones, updates to some fan-favorite attractions, a trove of new bites to eat and drinks to, well, drink, and a heavy dose of technology to push the immersion.

I had the chance to visit Disneyland for the 70th Anniversary Celebration, and it was also my first time at the park. Suffice to say, it was a lot to take in and explore, and a heck of a lot of fun. Sadly, the BDX Droids weren’t there, as these tiny, personable droids are currently on a world tour, with their next stop being Disneyland Paris. However, the 70th anniversary activities kept me plenty busy.

So now, I’m sharing my five favorite things about Disneyland’s 70th Celebration and why now might be the best time to go, whether it’s your first time or you know the park like the back of your hand.

The MagicBand+ unlocks special experiences

The MagicBand+ is already a key part of experiences at Disney Parks globally, I’m used to wearing one at Disney World and have even used it to become a bounty hunter in Batuu at Galaxy’s Edge, but for the Disneyland 70th it unlocks a tech-powered, immersive experience at any time, day or night.

Commemorating several of Disneyland’s original day-one attractions are new booths themed to each of them and – you guessed it – a spot to scan your MagicBand+. Upon scanning your band, the machine will play sounds and lights themed to the rides, but your MagicBand+ will also vibrate and light up thanks to a built-in haptic motor and a string of LEDs.

At the Jungle Cruise near the skippers’ lockers, it even printed out a ticket for a VIP tour on ‘the world famous Jungle Cruise’ letting me know I’d be aboard the “Mekong Maiden.’ It’s not an actual ticket, but certainly a lovely keepsake.

Sign up for breaking news, reviews, opinion, top tech deals, and more.

You’ll have to go on a treasure hunt around the park to find them all. These booths are also at a Fantasyland Window by the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, in Frontierland near the Silver Spur Supplies, and on Main Street near the front of the park is Tilly’s Booth. There will soon be one at the Autopia attraction in Tomorrowland. The experience will vary, but you’ll need a MagicBand+ to unlock it and create a memory.

MagicBand+ can be purchased at the park or in advance from the Disney Store for $34.99. The wearable can be your park ticket, a form of payment, and a key to unlocking interactions around the park. You can monitor battery level, perform software updates, and link it to your MyDisney account to link tickets via the Disneyland app for Android or iOS – it’ll sync over Bluetooth.

Two all-new projection shows, and a fireworks show returns

Disney is known for its live entertainment productions – be it projecting onto water with World of Color at Disneyland or with full fireworks shows. Even so, Disneyland’s entertainment offerings for the 70th are stretching far and wide.

A highlight for me was two new projection-only shows, which transformed the outer frame of the It’s a Small World attraction at Disneyland and the Cathay Circle restaurant at Disney California Adventure into widely colorful, animated displays with speakers hidden throughout the area playing a bouncy soundtrack for viewers to enjoy.

While Cathay Circle is a restaurant, its unique front and triangular finish present a distinctive canvas for Disney’s complex projection system. The resulting light show is impressive and speaks to Disney’s technology and projection mapping expertise. This show runs nightly for about three minutes and is named “Celebrate Happy: A Little Bit Of Magic.”

Similarly, It’s A Small World’s outer shell is a good bit larger, but not just a long flat surface – instead, it has varying heights and depths, with some parts being closer to pathways and other parts further back. The result is the “Tapestry of Happiness” show, which draws from Disney’s extensive catalog of characters and storylines, but more importantly, other parts of the park, including the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. Scene projection design is done in the style of Mary Blair, the original art director for the ride.

@jakekrol

Both projection shows feature excellent sound, even though my eagle eyes couldn’t pinpoint exactly where Disney hid the speakers. Trust me, though, it gets plenty loud. The hiding of technology is used to showcase the stories and bring the facade to life with sound all around, which is essentially how Disney creates most of these experiences.

Similarly, Disneyland is also bringing back a fan-favorite fireworks evening spectacle, but it’s more than just rockets in the sky. The entirety of Sleeping Beauty Castle serves as a screen for projectors to display vivid animations – many of which are custom – but this also extends to other nearby buildings and down Main Street.

Additionally, through the power of what I believe is a drone of some sort, “Baymax” from Big Hero 6 flies across the sky, accompanied by fireworks and epic projections. “Wondrous Journeys” will be running most nights and lasts just over 15 minutes, so be aware that the weather needs to be right.

70th touches for an iconic ride

Now, I’m a big fan of Toy Story – one of my favorite films hands-down – so it makes sense I enjoy a spin around Toy Story Midway Mania. It just so happens that it’s also a very tech-infused ride, with blasters mounted in a ride vehicle that will spin and stop in front of large 3D screens. Targets – think bullseyes and dartboards – appear on the screens, allowing you to score points by shooting the wheel.

A rollicking soundtrack also accompanies it, interactions with characters like Buzz, Woody, and the green army men, as well as bursts of air shooting, and again, pretty chaotic visuals.

It was always a race of points, with you wanting to hit the highest targets – ie, 500 or 1,000 or 2,000 – but Disneyland is letting you scroll even higher on the leaderboard, up to 70 or 7,000 if you will, as they’ve added special elements into the game.

The Walt Disney Imagineering team used little more than a software-based update to level up an already loved attraction, making it feel fresh and new for the 70th anniversary.

Another ride that received an update was It’s a Small World, featuring Miguel from Coco as a doll. This classic film is now streaming on Disney+, one of the best streaming services. You can also watch Toy Story 1 through 4 there and see my colleague Lance Ulanoff unpack Pixar Typestry – one of the first pieces of software the company made before Toy Story and countless other films.

Tasty new food, but there’s no need to wait in line

I mean, what’s a party without food? And Disneyland answered the call by rolling out 70 new food items – ranging from coffees to fuel you through the day to a 70th Stuff dessert that was super good. There is something for everyone, and all these light bites and drinks are available at shops throughout the park.

They are all highly sought after, leading to some long lines, but here’s the best tip I can offer you. Please use mobile ordering via the Disneyland app on iOS and Android. It not only lets you skip the line and take another ride around Dumbo or any other attraction, but it’s also a lot more seamless.

Once in the park, you open the Disneyland app, select the three lines in the bottom right corner, tap ‘Order Food,’ select the location, and make your selections. You’ll be given a window to return, and once you’re near, you’ll tap “I’m here, prepare my food” to let them start cooking. Then, you’ll receive a notification with the window number to head to, share your name and order name, and you’re ready for a delicious meal.

The best part, if you’re on an iPhone, is that it supports Live Activities – so you can tap “I’m here” right from the lock screen without needing to unlock and navigate through the app.

A parade with over one million LED lights, all synced

The jaw-dropping moment, and maybe even a hallelujah event for fans of Disneyland, is the return of the Paint the Night parade. Yes, it’s choreographed beautifully with excellent performers and exciting songs, but the real spectacle is the pure amount of color.

As the name suggests, the floats, characters, and costumes are all adorned with LEDs that sparkle, glow, and flash, all in a unified, synchronized beat to the music. It looks incredible at night. There are eight moments of the parade, spanning floats and performers across several Disney franchises – Tinker Bell, Monsters Inc., Cars, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Disney Princesses, Frozen, and Mickey and Friends.

It’s super impressive, just check out the video and photos, but it goes beyond just LED string lights. Take the Monsters Inc. float, which Sulley and Mike Wazowski ride on – it’s over 21 feet long with 17,000 points of light but also features five doors, as seen in the film, that spin and rotate with over 40 LED video panels.

Or with Cars, beyond Lightning McQueen, the classic Mack truck is reimagined with an open rear trailer that’s composed of glowing orbs that are strung and fill the whole space – in fact, it creates glowing depth from 27,000 orbs and 2,000 feet of LED neon that line the trailer.

All of these LEDs are controllable, and Disney Live Entertainment uses them all to create a show, pairing them with audio speech and classic songs. Disney shared that there are more than 200 universes of control to operate the parade.

Additionally, a few extra LEDs light up and ‘dance’ as the ones built into your MagicBand+ turn off when the various floats pass. That’s magic, well, RFID and knowing your location.

All in all, this is just scratching the surface of Disneyland’s 70th Celebration. There are also more iconic character art installations setup around the resort that your MagicBand+ will react to, a purchasable ‘Key to Disneyland’ that interacts with memorable keyholes around the parks, a Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket that responds to “Hey Mickey,” and a bubble wand with a USB-C port for custom sounds effects.

Then, of course, there are all the classic rides, numerous parades, and “World of Color: Happiness,” another evening show where you can vote on certain characters to appear.

The 70th Celebration will be going on for a year, so there’s plenty of time to get out there and enjoy it all. I certainly hope all these tech immersion- and entertainment-enhancing moments stick around and carry over to other parks as well.

Ripple Xrp Vs Sec Update: Ripple Replies To Commissioner Peirce

Ripple Replies to Commissioner Peirce

by admin May 28, 2025

Ripple has responded to SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce’s recent “New Paradigm” speech with a fresh letter, shared by its Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, on X (formerly Twitter).

In the letter, Ripple thanked the SEC’s Crypto Task Force for their May 20, 2025, meeting and offered clear points on why most crypto tokens, including XRP, are not securities.

Today, @Ripple submitted an additional letter to the SEC’s Crypto Task Force addressing a key question from Commissioner Peirce’s “New Paradigm” speech: When does a digital asset separate from an investment contract?

We appreciate the continued engagement with the Task Force.…

— Stuart Alderoty (@s_alderoty) May 27, 2025

Ripple supported its argument by citing legal analysis from Lewis Cohen, who said crypto assets sold on secondary markets are not usually considered securities.

The decision pointed out Judge Torres’ 2023 ruling which stated that trading XRP on exchanges is not considered a security, but the initial sales to institutions were considered investment contracts.

The letter criticized vague SEC standards like whether a token is “fully functional” or “sufficiently decentralized,” calling them confusing for the market. Ripple argued that such matters should be decided by Congress, not regulators.

Ripple proposed a straightforward framework: if a token was once part of an investment contract, it should no longer be treated as such when all promises to the buyer are fulfilled and the holder has no rights over the issuer.

To support innovation, Ripple also called for a safe harbor rule to protect honest crypto projects as they grow. They suggested using network maturity, not decentralization, to decide regulation, pointing to open, long-running, high-value networks without central control.

With this bold move, Ripple aims to push the SEC toward fairer, clearer crypto rules that match today’s digital asset reality.

This death was “one too many” for The Last of Us season two

by admin May 28, 2025

One particular The Last of Us Part 2 death was “one too many” for the showrunners to include in the show’s second season.

Please note there will be spoilers for The Last of Us – both the show and the games – below.

The Death of Console Exclusives Is Inevitable and I Don’t Know How I Feel About It. Watch on YouTube

The Last of Us Part 2 isn’t short on death and misery. Seattle is carnage, with warring factions the WLF (Wolves) and the Seraphites (Scars) taking no mercy on each other, and that’s before you add Ellie or any of the Jackson community into the mix.

The TV series has remained faithful to most of the game’s key deaths. As in Part 2, The Last of Us’ second season sees Joel, Nora, Mel, Owen and Jesse murdered, the latter three all in the series finale. One character, however, makes it out alive despite being killed in the game: Alice.

Alice is one of the WLF’s canine companions in The Last of Us Part 2, and while she may only be an animation, at the end of the day her death was one that actually hit me hardest when I played the game for the first time. When Ellie makes her way into the aquarium during her search for Abby, Alice is alerted by the noise and attacks her. Ellie then fatally stabs Alice with her switchblade. However, this doesn’t happen in the show.

Why? There are two reasons. The first is that The Last of Us showrunner Craig Mazin, who also penned Chernobyl, felt he couldn’t do another pet killing scene. Chernobyl is a historical miniseries which revolves around the Chernobyl disaster of 1986, and one moment sees pets culled in a bid to stem the spread of radiation.

“I think you get like one dog murdering episode a lifetime,” Mazin said when the topic of The Last of Us’ Alice came up during a recent press event (thanks, Polygon). “There are two cardinal rules in Hollywood. One: don’t spend your own money. Two: don’t kill a dog.”

The showrunner added that “because it’s live action, the nature of violence becomes much more, well, graphic. It’s more graphic because… it’s not like there’s an animation between you and it, [and] it’s very disturbing”.

So, that’s Mazin’s reason for not including Alice’s death in the show’s second season, but what was Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckman’s? Well, essentially, the finale had too much death already, with Ellie herself nearly dying at the hands of the Seraphites, before she proceeds to kill Owen and Mel (and by extension Mel’s unborn baby) pretty soon after. Then, before the episode wraps for good, Jesse is shot in the face by Abby, and dies immediately from his wound. It is all quite harrowing as it is, let alone if we then had to also see a dog get murdered in the name of revenge.

“And in our conversation, we’re like this [is] probably one too many,” Druckmann concluded.

Earlier this week, the cast and crew shared a little more about where and who The Last of Us season three will put its focus on.

For more on the show, you can check out my discussion feature: The Last of Us season two wraps with episode seven, but was it a satisfying finale?

Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier Espresso Machine Review: Beginner’s Luck

by admin May 28, 2025

I really, really appreciate Ninja’s take on the Luxe’s milk steaming system. Some automatic espresso machines incorporate a container of milk that has to be brought back and forth from the refrigerator, like the ones from this list. The Luxe, however, keeps it classic with a pitcher that you simply add milk to and a wand that begins steaming at the press of a button, another reason why it’s great for those who want barista-quality coffee drinks without all the guesswork.

You can manually steam milk if you so choose, or you can steam milk to four programmed settings, and this includes a cold foam. There’s also a setting for a plant-based option, and the Luxe adjusts automatically to this. I had little to no issues with this milk frother and enjoyed the opportunity to practice some latte art, even if the pitcher’s spout isn’t ideal for it.

Quirks and Quality

The Luxe has a removable hopper and rapid heat-up time, which are fantastic. To the left of the machine is where much of your coffee’s assembly happens. Before you grind your coffee, you’ll place a funnel on the portafilter to keep it in place. Unfortunately, after a couple months of use, the funnel’s plastic corners are chipping.

When not in use, there’s a designated spot for the funnel on the left side of the machine alongside the pressure-click tamper. I really like this tamper, as tamping is something I often overthink (Am I creating enough pressure? Do I have an even surface?), and the Luxe’s is designed for you to apply the ideal amount of pressure.

The water reservoir doesn’t come with a filter, unfortunately. As for the drip tray, it’s easy to remove and clean. An orange notch pops up when the tray needs to be emptied. On average, I empty the drip tray every four to five drinks. A handful of times the machine has leaked, even with the drip tray being empty.

A shelf allows the Luxe to accommodate your 2-ounce espresso shots but can be removed to allow room for a travel mug as large as 18 ounces. One common gripe about the Luxe is that despite the portafilter having two spouts, there is not enough room to accommodate two espresso cups on the shelf or drip tray, which is strange. However, one of the biggest misses on this machine is that there’s no hot water spout, something I particularly enjoyed with a machine like the De’Longhi Magnifica Start.

My beef with many Ninja kitchen appliances is that sometimes they try to do too much, like the cooler with an added “frost vault.” The Ninja Luxe Cafe feels different, however, considering how intentional it was in competing with other new-age espresso machines. Pulling espresso is solid and, while occasionally inconsistent, delivers an overall smooth and robust shot. The drip coffee was good, not great, and the cold brew can be bitter since it uses the room-temperature water from the filter.

Like many Ninja products, the machine sits in a weird space. A coffee purist may choose a straightforward machine without all the assists of the Luxe, while a true beginner may not feel comfortable investing in the Luxe’s “all-in-one” style. Nevertheless, it’s an overall quality piece of equipment at a fair price that makes me view the Ninja brand with respect when it comes to its coffee game.

The Best Classes For Each Playstyle

by admin May 28, 2025

Oblivion Remastered features an impressive 21 Standard Classes, along with the option to craft a Custom Class. The options, rangeing from Combat-oriented to Magic-types to the all-time favorite Stealth-focused archer because, let’s face it, there’s no room for a simple thief when the bow and arrow exist, right?

Fallout Season 2 Teaser Confirms Lucy and Ghoul are Heading to New Vegas

Seeing as you can only pick one class per playthrough, narrowing down the list from more than twenty to just one proves difficult. Here are our recommendations based on each playstyle!

The best Combat class

When it comes to a combat-oriented class, sure, you could wind up playing the typical Warrior—a frontline bruiser designed to wield two-handed weapons and smash goblins to pieces. But if you want a little more nuance, a bit more flavor that melds with the lands of Cyrodiil, nothing compares to the powerful Knight.

The Knight is a Heavy Armor, Blade-oriented class designed with combat in mind first and foremost, but it also works well with Speechcraft for interacting with the denizens of the land, plus a touch of magic to round out the experience.

  • Hand-to-Hand
  • Heavy Armor
  • Illusion
  • Speechcraft

The best Magic class

Come on, did you seriously think we’d choose anything other than the iconic Mage? It’s the perfect all-around spell-slinger in Oblivion Remastered, specializing in all schools of magic from across Cyrodiil. You can summon fireballs and imps, float, turn yourself invisible, and do so while playing as an old, withered character for the full-fledged experience.

The downside to the Mage is its Light Armor, making the class rather squishy in close-quarters combat, which, unfortunately, means the majority of combat in the game. Once you grow in power, though, hoo boy, those enemies better watch out!

  • Alteration
  • Conjuration
  • Destruction
  • Illusion
  • Mysticism

The best Stealth class

Like the Mage class for the Magic playstyle, certain expectations deserve to be set aside with the Stealth class. For instance, instead of opting for a Thief or Archer, the two most commonly chosen classes for anyone who wants a Stealth build, we’re choosing the Assassin.

Why? Well, it’s a highly versatile class that combines the best of the Stealth playstyle into a singular, powerful solo class marked by its excellence in Light Armor, Acrobatics, Marksman, Security, and Sneak. Whether you choose to delve into dungeons, join the Thieves Guild, or take a shadier route with the Dark Brotherhood, the Assassin delivers.

Oblivion Remastered is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PCs, and Game Pass.
