Most Trump Crypto Dinner VIPs Have Moved or Dumped Their Coins

by admin May 24, 2025

In brief

  • Most TRUMP token VIPs have moved their holdings to centralized exchanges, presumably to sell.
  • The average VIP holdings dropped from $4.78 million at the snapshot to $2.11 million as of Friday.
  • TRUMP is down more than 14% one day after the president’s crypto dinner.

The majority of TRUMP meme coin holders that earned VIP status for President Trump’s exclusive gala dinner held none of the tokens in those wallets by the time they arrived for dinner at Trump National Golf Course on Thursday night.

On-chain data gathered from Solana block explorer Solscan shows that just eight of the top 25 VIPs maintain a balance of the president’s official Solana meme coin the day after the dinner, with the bulk of registered addresses having transferred tokens to centralized exchanges just days after the May 12 snapshot.

One of those eight wallets belongs to Justin Sun, the Tron network founder who confirmed he held the top spot on the Get Trump Memes leaderboard days before the event. Sun’s wallet, which held 1.43 million TRUMP at the time of the dinner snapshot, still holds just under 1.4 million TRUMP tokens valued at around $18.8 million.

“As the top holder of TRUMP and proud supporter of President Trump, it was an honor to attend the Trump Gala Dinner,” Sun posted on X early Friday morning.

The second registered address on the leaderboard, identified as being associated with layer-1 meme coin blockchain MemeCore, maintains its entire balance from the snapshot on May 12, but only three other wallets from the top 10 have any TRUMP tokens.

The other five all transferred their balances to addresses labeled by Solscan as centralized exchanges like Coinbase and Binance, with one wallet transferring its TRUMP tokens to an account labeled as the Wintermute hot wallet.

While VIPs once held an average around $4.78 million worth of TRUMP tokens, the group’s average holdings now stand at approximately $2.11 million—buoyed in large part by the nearly $37.3 million in combined holdings from the top two holders.

By transferring or selling their tokens, the VIPs without balances will miss out on a limited edition “diamond hand” NFT, only earned by maintaining their leaderboard balances up until the dinner.

Some VIPs’ willingness to part with their tokens right after the dinner snapshot may lend credence to the argument from lawmakers and other critics that their investments were purely a “pay-for-play” tactic to get close to the president.

Fears of foreign influence and crypto corruption as a result of the dinner led to protests at the event, plus the introduction of a bill that would keep the president from profiting from crypto ventures.

Even before the event, Democratic Senators sought an ethics probe over the dinner, citing “severe risk that President Trump and other officials may be engaging in ‘pay-to-play’ corruption by selling presidential access.”

TRUMP is down more than 14% in the last 24 hours to $13.22, nearly 82% off its January all-time high.

U.S. Is ‘Going Big’ on Crypto, Treasury Secretary Bessent Says

by admin May 24, 2025

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Bloomberg earlier this Friday that the world’s largest economy is “going big” on digital assets.

According to Bessent, a lot of companies were “starved” and almost pushed to extinction by the previous administration.

The new administration is focused on promoting crypto growth while applying the highest regulatory standards, according to Bessent.

“So, what we want to do is to apply the highest US regulatory AML standards to digital assets, especially stablecoins,” he stressed.

Speaking of stablecoins, Bessent said that stablecoins could create roughly $2 trillion worth of demand for U.S. Treasuries and Treasury bills over the short term. As of now, for comparison, the number is $300 billion.

As reported by U.Today, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently opined that the USDT stablecoin actually helps to bolster the hegemony of the US dollar.

The U.S. Senate also appears to be on track to pass key stablecoin legislation in the near future, which would be a major win for the industry.

Meanwhile, according to recent reports, such big names as Fidelity and JPMorgan are considering joining the stablecoin bandwagon.

Beyond stablecoins, the new crypto-friendly US admin is promoting Bitcoin.

In March, the world’s largest economy made a trailblazing move by establishing a strategic Bitcoin reserve.

As reported by U.Today, Bessent previously opined that the U.S. could find some avenues for buying more coins on top of the forfeited ones.

Active Blade Ball codes (updated May 2025)

by admin May 24, 2025

It’s you versus 14 other players in Blade Ball, the most exciting original experience on Roblox. I found myself facing off against foes of different skill levels, all with the same goal: defend and destroy. A simple premise overall that turns far more interesting as matches go on, Blade Ball is easy to learn but I don’t feel like I’m close to mastering it yet.

Thankfully, Blade Ball also has plenty of free codes available, so you can unlock free items, skills, and everything in between if you find yourself as hooked on it as I am.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started your journey in Blade Ball or you’ve been playing for months now: Free items are free items. Punch in as many of these codes as you can to fill out your collection, as developers sometimes remove them without any notice and when they’re gone they’re gone.

How to redeem Blade Ball codes

  1. Open Blade Ball on Roblox
  2. Click “Extras” in the top right corner
  3. Scroll down and select Codes
  4. Enter any of the codes listed on our page
  5. Click the Green Checkmark to redeem codes and get your rewards

Looking to make your redemption process easier? Copy and paste any of the codes directly from our page into Blade Ball and just click the green check mark.

I’ve gone through and tested each of the codes on this page to ensure that they work, to avoid any frustrations. If a code isn’t working, there is a chance that the developers have recently disabled that code without our knowledge. This happens, so be sure you’re checking back weekly to make sure you’ve always got the freshest codes—we’re also regularly updating this guide when find codes have expired.

If you’re unable to copy and paste the codes directly from our page, be sure that you’re following our capitalization and punctuation. Some experiences in Roblox will throw an error over these little details, so if you want to redeem your codes, replicate them exactly.

Good luck on the Blade Ball battlefield, brave soldiers.

FTC drops case against Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard

by admin May 24, 2025

The US Federal Trade Commission has dropped its complaint against Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

On May 22, 2025, the FTC issued an order dismissing its case after it lost its appeal against Microsoft earlier this month.

“The commission has determined that the public interest is best served by dismissing the administrative litigation of the case,” it said. “Accordingly, it is hereby ordered that the complaint in this matter be, and hereby is, dismissed.”

In response, Microsoft president Brad Smith described the decision as a “victory for players” on social media.

“Today’s decision is a victory for players across the country and for common sense in Washington D.C.,” Smith wrote. “We are grateful for the FTC for today’s announcement.”

Microsoft finalised its deal to acquire Activision Blizzard in January 2022 for $68.7 billion. The FTC subsequently attempted to block the merger, believing it would cause a threat to competition in cloud gaming, subscription services, and exclusive first-party titles.

This was denied, and in turn the FTC submitted a preliminary injunction – which was also denied.

On May 8, 2025, the 9th Circuit US Court of Appeals threw out the FTC’s challenge against the Microsoft Activision merger.

“The panel held that the district court applied the correct legal standards and did not abuse its discretion, or rely on clearly erroneous findings, in holding that the FTC failed to make a sufficient evidentiary showing to establish the requisite likelihood of success on the merits of its claim,” the court said.

Polygon co-founder Mihailo Bjelic steps down from board

by admin May 24, 2025

Mihailo Bjelic, co-founder of Polygon, has announced his decision to step down from the board of Polygon Foundation.

The Polygon (POL) co-founder revealed the move via a post on X on Friday, May 23, 2025, noting that he will also “wind down” his day-to-day involvement with Polygon Labs.

“Polygon was born in 2019, and we’ve come a long way since then,” Bjelic wrote. “From significant breakthroughs in zero-knowledge tech, to onboarding some of the world’s biggest brands, we’ve made meaningful strides toward that grand vision. I’m proud of this, and grateful for the privilege to work with so many talented people.”

Bjelic notes that he first entered the crypto space in 2013, with his foray into the ecosystem seeing “deep down the rabbit hole” by 2017.

He co-founded Polygon, a layer-2 scaling solution on Ethereum (ETH) alongside Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal and Anurag Arjun. The project, among the most searched proof-of-stake blockchain in the U.S. in 2023, rebranded from its initial name Matic Network.

Explaining his decision further, Bjelic said:

“As projects evolve and mature, it is natural for visions to evolve, and sometimes diverge. With this in mind, I can no longer contribute to Polygon to the best of my abilities.”

While he will no longer be actively involved, he said he is confident Polygon will continue to succeed. Bjelic plans to offer his support “from the sidelines”.

Bjelic’s exit from the Polygon Foundation board sees him join co-founders Jaynti Kanani and Anurag Arjun in stepping down from active roles at the blockchain project. Kanani left Polygon in October 2023.Meanwhile, Arjun left in March 2023 to focus on his modular blockchain project Avail.

Nailwal said via X that words cannot describe what Bjelic means to him personally and to Polygon.

“More than a co-founder, you’re a brother. From the earliest days — whiteboards full of ideas, endless whitepapers, governance frameworks, strategy calls deep into the night — you have been a force behind so much of what makes Polygon what it is today,” he added.

70% of games with online requirements are doomed, according to Stop Killing Games survey

by admin May 24, 2025

Stop Killing Games are a self-described consumer movement who are aggrieved about all the games with online requirements that become partly or completely unplayable, once publishers end official server support. They’re trying to persuade larger advocacy organisations like The European Consumer Organisation to propose new laws that put a stop to such shenanigans.

To support their campaign, they’ve carried out a survey of games with online requirements to work out how many are “dead”, dying or enduring thanks to developer or fan-implemented “end of life” plans, such as patched-in offline functionality. The resulting Google spreadsheet has 738 entries, of which a whopping 70% are apparently no longer playable or destined to become that way.

You can view the spreadsheet here. Beware that Google might badge it “suspicious”, because it harbours a bunch of links to publisher websites – it’s possible some of those publisher websites have naughty code, but it could also be simply that Google considers giant walls of links innately untrustworthy. One of the Stop Killing Games organisers, Youtuber Ross Scott, has also put together a video discussing the survey methodology and summarising the highlights.

Watch on YouTube

The survey sorts games into four broad categories: those that are no longer playable, those that are “at risk” for want of plans to maintain them once official support has ended, and those that have been “saved” by means of, say, the public release of the server code.

The volunteers found that of the 738 games included, 299 games were “dead”, with 313 games set to meet the same fate in the absence of publisher action. 110 of the games surveyed have been preserved by industrious players, following the cessation of official support, while just 16 had been salvaged by the developers.

The criteria for inclusion are a little blurry, admittedly. SKG have made some “judgement calls” about proof-of-concept fan emulators that launch the game in a minimally playable state, which they’re currently categorising as “dead”. The list also includes offline single player games that have online multiplayer components, such as Mass Effect 3. Scott strenuously makes the argument that these should be counted alongside always-online games, because it’s not like you can opt out of paying for multiplayer when you buy the game. He adds that, in any case, even if you strip away the games with offline single player components, 68.77% of the games that remain are still categorisable as either gone or going under.

The video notes that publishers can be frustrating elusive and unreadable on whether a game with an online requirement will be spared from demolition. A game might be said to support private servers, for example, theoretically allowing you to play it without official server support, but actually require you to access those private servers via the publisher.

There are many, many online-required live service games currently in development, despite some high profile disasters and much discontent about live service as a concept. The fact that so many games with online requirements are “dead” is hardly surprising. Large publicly traded companies are, after all, fuelled by profits rather than goodwill. They gain little from ensuring that those games remain playable, once they’re no longer part of the active portfolio. Still, you do come across the odd team or community that have successfully reconfigured a game to survive the apocalypse.

A few members of the Stop Killing Games team are hoping to set up a wiki of online games that face extinction, based on this research. If you fancy pitching in, you can get in touch by emailing deadgamestats@pm.me.

Nintendo Switch 2 will support regular USB mice in at least one game

by admin May 24, 2025

The Switch 2’s Joy-Con “mouse” has some competition. At least one launch game for Nintendo’s new console includes USB mouse support. Nobunga’s Ambition: Awakening CE lets you plug in a traditional pointing device and get down to business. According to developer Koei Tecmo, the mouse will “work seamlessly.”

Nobunga’s Ambition will let you switch between controller and USB mouse on the fly. “Once you connect the USB mouse, a message will appear in the top left indicating that the mouse is connected,” Michi Ryu said in a video (translated from Japanese). “When the USB mouse is connected, it takes priority over the Joy-Con 2. As you can see, you can switch instantly. It’s very smooth.”

So, what does that mean for other mouse-friendly Switch 2 games? Civilization VII, another launch title, comes to mind. We emailed 2K Games to ask and will update this story if we hear back.

To be fair, the Switch 2’s Joy-Con mouse support is solid. Engadget’s Sam Rutherford was pleasantly surprised with it in his hands-on. Still, it’s nice to have options. (And let’s be honest, a real mouse will be hard to beat.)

Although it wasn’t a well-known fact, the original Switch also supported USB mice. For example, Nintendo’s visual programming tool Game Builder Garage worked with them. But the number of games supporting the Joy-Con mouse makes it a bigger deal on the Switch 2.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Review – Splitting Up The Family

by admin May 24, 2025

The Turtles have a long history in video games, and the spectrum of quality for those projects is all over the place. Strange Scaffold has opted for a novel departure from expectation with Tactical Takedown, taking the four radical green brothers into a grid-based tactical affair that still aims for a sense of high movement and excitement. Production values are limited, and the game’s scope is small, but fans can find a lot to enjoy in this turn-based adventure.

In this variation of the familiar setup, Splinter and Shredder are dead by the time the story begins, and the teenage ninja brothers are each confronting and grieving that reality in their way. The story setup establishes that each Turtle is off doing their own thing, but in a story and set up about a family working together, it’s an unusual choice that the entire game that follows has you controlling only one character at a time. A late-game addition attempts to confront that narrative disconnect, but it still feels strange to play a whole TMNT game and never see the heroes together.

While it’s an odd choice for a tactics game about a family of warriors, in practice, changing playable characters each level keeps things fresh. Michelangelo is about mobility, Raphael likes to push the attack, Donatello plays with traps and debuffs, and Leo is about power and evasion. Each skill in battle helps to differentiate the playstyles, and over time, you can use accrued points to buy additional powers, though I found that the initial mix of abilities led to clear synergies that were hard to abandon.

The 20 stages hop between locales like the sewers, subways, and city streets. But the square grid boards always lean into two core ideas – constant forward motion and a seemingly insurmountable number of enemies that you somehow manage to overcome. In tandem, those two things bring life and energy to the game and keep me having a good time. Traditional tactics games often encourage the use of cover. But in keeping with the “Ninja” part of the game’s name, Tactical Takedown requires that you dart in and out of range of attackers while steadily advancing across a battlefield that will fall away beneath your feet if you don’t move forward. The resulting momentum communicates a sense of speed and action, even as you navigate a static turn order.

Especially early on, battles can prove quite challenging until you wrap your head around each character’s specialties. That difficulty is at odds with the colorful, childlike nature of the presentation. With time, I warmed to the flow of fights and the intriguing puzzle of figuring out how to take out so many Foot Clan soldiers in one blazing turn of play.

While the simple character illustrations appropriately call back to Saturday morning vibes, the overall visual palette of the game doesn’t hit the mark. The rotatable isometric view recalls a miniature board game, but there are too few animations, too little detail on environments, and an overall generic feel that doesn’t do the game any favors. Even so, the interstitial pop-up dialogue boxes between levels capture the essence of the Turtles’ wholesome family drama. I smiled as the game rolled out long-established tropes like Donnie’s genius and Leo’s angsty leadership, as if watching an old cartoon episode play out in written snippets.

Even as a brief game of only a few hours, I felt ready for things to wrap up by the time I hit the credits, but that’s not an indictment of how it all came together. Instead, this new tactical twist on the Turtles knows not to overstay its welcome. It’s a bite-sized chunk of strategic fun with an evident love of these classic characters that shines through, and that’s worth plenty.

Prices Head Lower as Trade War Heats Up

by admin May 24, 2025

What was setting up to be a somewhat sleepy session ahead of the holiday weekend is no more as President Trump woke up and chose to reignite what had been cooling trade tensions.

“The European Union … has been very difficult to deal with,” said the president in a Truth Social posting. “Our discussions with them are going nowhere! Therefore, I am recommending a straight 50% tariff on the EU, starting on June 1.”

The leader of the free world also took aim at Apple (AAPL) and its CEO Tim Cook. “I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhones that will be sold in the U.S. will be manufactured and built in the U.S., not India or anyplace else. If that’s not the case, a tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple.”

U.S. stock index futures quickly moved from modest gains to nearly 2% declines, with Apple falling 3.6%. Above $111,000 prior to the news, the price of bitcoin

quickly pulled back to $108,600.

DGX B200 Blackwell node sets world record, breaking over 1,000 TPS/user

by admin May 24, 2025

Nvidia has reportedly broken another AI world record, breaking the 1,000 tokens per second (TPS) barrier per user with Meta’s Llama 4 Maverick large language model, according to Artificial Analysis in a post on LinkedIn. This breakthrough was achieved with Nvidia’s latest DGX B200 node, which features eight Blackwell GPUs.

Nvidia outperformed the previous record holder, SambaNova, by 31%, achieving 1,038 TPS/user compared to AI chipmaker SambaNova’s prior record of 792 TPS/user. According to Artificial Analysis’s benchmark report, Nvidia and SambaNova are well ahead of everyone in this performance metric. Amazon and Groq achieved scores just shy of 300 TPS/user — the rest, Fireworks, Lambda Labs, Kluster.ai, CentML, Google Vertex, Together.ai, Deepinfra, Novita, and Azure, all achieved scores below 200 TPS/user.

Blackwell’s record-breaking result was achieved using a plethora of performance optimizations tailor-made to the Llama 4 Maverick architecture. Nvidia allegedly made extensive software optimizations using TensorRT and trained a speculative decoding draft model using Eagle-3 techniques, which are designed to accelerate inference in LLMs by predicting tokens ahead of time. These two optimizations alone achieved a 4x performance uplift compared to Blackwell’s best prior results.

Accuracy was also improved using FP8 data types (rather than BF16), Attention operations, and the Mixture of Experts AI technique that took the world by storm when it was first introduced with the DeepSeek R1 model. Nvidia also shared a variety of other optimizations its software engineers made to the CUDA kernel to optimize performance further, including techniques such as spatial partitioning and GEMM weight shuffling.

TPS/user is an AI performance metric that stands for tokens per second per user. Tokens are the foundation of LLM-powered software such as Copilot and ChatGPT; when you type a question into ChatGPT or Copilot, your individual words and characters are tokens. The LLM takes these tokens and outputs an answer based on those tokens according to the LLM’s programming.

The user part (of TPS/user) is aimed at single-user-focused benchmarking, rather than batching. This method of benchmarking is important for AI chatbot developers to create a better experience for people. The faster a GPU cluster can process tokens per second per user, the faster an AI chatbot will respond to you.
