$23.35 Billion Dogecoin (DOGE) Moved by Whales In Just 24 Hours

by admin May 20, 2025

Dogecoin has seen its daily large transaction volume surge massively by 41.12% with whales actively moving large amounts of tokens, according to data from IntoTheBlock.

DOGE whales in action

The data shows that a total 60.9 billion DOGE worth about $23.35 billion have been moved by DOGE’s large transaction holders over the last 24 hours.

While the broad crypto market has been experiencing mixed actions after cooling off from the recent massive bull run, this notable whale movement suggests that investors are still bullish despite ongoing price corrections.

While large transaction volumes like this indicate increased whale activities on the concerned crypto currency, there are speculations that Dogecoin whales are preparing for something big, possibly anticipating a massive price rally in the near future.

You Might Also Like

Although the major drive behind Dogecoin’s massive large transaction volume remains uncertain, recent trading activities among whales suggests the metric might have been spurred by increased buying activities.

Earlier today, the Dogecoin ecosystem saw a mysterious whale pull out a significant 260 million DOGE from a major U.S.-based brokerage platform, Robinhood, according to a report from U.Today.

While transactions like this often suggest buying activities from whales, the move signals increased demand for Dogecoins among large holders, potentially driving a surge in the price of the token.

Nonetheless, latest data from CoinMarketCap shows that the increased whale activities on DOGE have not had any direct impact on the price performance currently as the leading memecoin have been trading sideways over the last day.

The data shows a decent 0.41% increase in DOGE’s price since the last 24 hours. As such, the token is trading steadily around $0.2252 as of press time.

Despite the positive surge in DOGE’s large transaction volume, DOGE’s trading volume has remained in red as it has declined by up to 25% since the last day.

While this suggests that market sentiments are shifting, it signals decreased interest for the meme token among retail investors.

This indicates that whales are actively accumulating while retailers are silent, causing investors to be more watchful about DOGE’s on-chain movement and potential performance.

iPhones are on the menu for Amazon drone delivery

by admin May 20, 2025

The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) has given Amazon’s Prime Air drones the go-ahead to deliver new categories of devices, including products with lithium ion batteries like iPhones, AirPods, and more, Amazon has announced. The company says those product categories can be shipped to your door within 60 minutes — if you’re in one of the eligible delivery areas in Arizona or Texas, that is.

Amazon writes that it recently streamlined its drone deliveries. The new process includes Amazon giving you a delivery time with a five-minute window on either side, and customers no longer having to go outside and put a QR code on the ground.

The first time you order one of these drone drops, you’ll pick from one of the predetermined-to-be-eligible delivery zones on an aerial picture of your house. Amazon will use the same spot from then on, assuming it’s clear, until you change it. The drones drop packages from about 13 feet in the air, so it’s a good idea to keep your pets or kids inside during the delivery window. At the moment, drone deliveries are only available in College Station, Texas, and in the West Valley part of the Phoenix, Arizona metro area, and only when the weather is favorable.

The deliveries come via Amazon’s new MK30 drones, a key part of the drone delivery program the company has been working to get off the ground for over a decade. MK30s are limited to 5-pound packages, but they can fly farther than the drones it used previously, and can even handle light rain. Last year, Amazon managed to get FAA approval to fly its drones beyond the visual line of sight of its operators, greatly expanding where it can actually make its deliveries.

Lost in Cult launches physical games publishing label

by admin May 20, 2025

Lost in Cult has launched a physical games publishing label.

The independent book publisher and design studio will focus on producing mass releases and collector’s editions (known as ‘Editions’) of physical titles to maintain game preservation and curations.

Lost in Cult’s publishing label is launching with three titles for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. These include Thank Goodness You’re Here (PS5/Switch), Immortality (PS5), and The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow (Switch).

The entire game is on the disc and/or cartridge, and requires no download code or an internet connection to play.

Retail editions of these games will be available online and in-store, and distributed by developer and publisher PM Studio.

Lost in Cult’s ‘Editions’ will be sold exclusively on Lost in Cult’s website in limited quantities – between 1,000 to 1,500 units per title.

Editions releases include exclusively commissioned outer slipcase artwork, variant retail covers, a poster and collector’s checklist, and a booklet edited by Lost in Cult editorial director Chris Schilling featuring developer interviews and analytical essays.

“We [have] set out to create a new standard for physical games,” said head of publishing Lost In Cult Ryan Brown. “Our editions are designed to preserve not just the game, but the story and artistry behind its creation.

“At the same time, our retail releases ensure no one is locked out of owning great games physically, giving everyone a chance to play their favourites for the decades to come, internet connection willing or not.”

“We’re proud to apply our knowledge and experience in quality-testing, having tested over 2600 titles, with a company that matches our vision on game preservation and also sees video games as art,” said DoesItPlay? owner Clemens Istel.

Lost in Cult has also partnered with preservation group DoesItPlay? – a community that tests physical releases and hardware for offline functionality.

“We work tirelessly to ensure these fantastic experiences remain accessible now and always,” added DoesItPlay? owner Clemens Istel.

“Aligning with Lost in Cult’s mission to provide the best physical games publishing to date is now the next step in our efforts to ensure quality physical releases that stand the test of time and make developers and players equally proud.”

Dow drops 115 points as S&P 500’s six-day rally ends

by admin May 20, 2025

Wall Street’s momentum stalled Tuesday as investors pulled back from tech stocks and rising bond yields renewed pressure on equities.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 114.83 points, or 0.27%, while the S&P 500 dipped 0.39%, ending a six-day winning streak.

The Nasdaq Composite slid 0.38% as chipmakers and megacaps retreated, led by losses in Nvidia, AMD, Meta, Apple, and Microsoft. The tech sector was the S&P 500’s worst performer, falling roughly 0.9%.

The pullback follows a five-week rebound that lifted the S&P 500 more than 20% off its April low, driven by optimism around tariff de-escalation following President Trump’s earlier tariff announcement. The index is now about 3% below its all-time high.

“We’ve had the swoon related to tariffs, the furious rally, and now we’re awaiting clarification,” said Bill Northey of U.S. Bank Wealth Management. “It’s optimism without clarity.”

Meanwhile, bond markets added to the unease. The 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.48%, while the 30-year briefly topped 5% for the second straight day—its highest since November 2023.

The rise follows Moody’s decision to downgrade U.S. debt, citing ballooning deficits and rising interest expenses.

Equity valuation challenges

Analysts say yields at or above 4.5% tend to challenge equity valuations. “If the 30-year is breaking out, does that mean the rest of the curve is next?” said Manulife’s Matthew Miskin.

Morgan Stanley’s Michael Wilson noted that equities have consistently faced valuation pressure when the 10-year yield breaches 4.5%.

Elsewhere, Tesla shares rose 2% after Elon Musk reaffirmed his commitment to remain CEO for at least five more years. On the political front, President Trump failed to win over GOP holdouts on a key tax bill, jeopardizing its passage before Memorial Day.

Avowed director Carrie Patel has left Obsidian, and joined Oxenfree dev Night School as a game director

by admin May 20, 2025

Whether or not we’ll be getting any more Avowed somewhere along the line is still very much up in the air. But if we do, it seems it won’t be under the leadership of Carrie Patel. In a quick post Patel shared on LinkedIn, the game developer shared that she’s “starting a new position as game director” at the team behind Oxenfree, Night School Studio. Patel mentioned literally zero details outside of what her new role is, so it’s not even clear why she left Obsidian.

This’ll likely have been in the works for a little while, as Night School were specifically looking for a game director in March. As a reminder, Avowed only came out this February. It also paints a slightly confusing picture for Night School themself. Earlier this year it was reported that an unspecified number of workers were being laid off.

Things have been a bit quiet at the developer since they released Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals back in 2023, having not made anything original since then either. They did make a Black Mirror tie-in game called Thronglets, a game featured in the most recent season of the anthology show (in case you forgot, Netflix bought the studio way back in 2021).

Here’s hoping Patel and co. get to make something original again. Netflix’s approach to gaming has been a bit all over the place, ranging from mobile titles, to AAA, but none of it has worked in the way the streamer has found success with film and TV. Their main AAA studio, Team Blue, which included Overwatch, Halo, and God of War talent, was shut down last year, so more than anything I hope the same fate doesn’t await Night School anywhere down the line.

Everything Google Announced at I/O 2025

by admin May 20, 2025

Some of these Gemini features will be coming to users of Android and Google’s web apps for free, but others (and the more powerful feature sets) will be available via paid subscription. Google’s $20 a month AI Premium service has been renamed to Google AI Pro, and the cost stays the same, though it now comes with more limited features. Google AI Ultra, the company’s full suite of AI services, has increased to $250 per month. That’s $50 per month more expensive than OpenAI’s similar full-suite plan, ChatGPT Pro

Gemini Is an Artist, Actually

Creative professionals and programmers take note: Google’s enhancements to its creative tools will either make your job easier and more productive, or it will render you obsolete.

Jules is an “asynchronous coding agent” that aims to let you take a rough design scribbled on a napkin and turn it into a full-fledged illustration or code, while showing you the work it did along the way.

There’s also a new version of Google’s AI image generator called Imagen 4 that Google claims can generate much more detail in images, like textures in AI-generated paintings or custom text in music posters.

Courtesy of Google

Courtesy of Google

Google also has some new generative AI video tools, like Flow, a tool made specifically for AI movie creation. It lets you upload photos or illustrations of characters, props, or scenery, then animate it all into a short movie using text prompts. If you don’t have photos, you can just type a generative prompt to make the visuals right inside Flow. Then you build a narrative video scene by scene by describing the action in a text box. The company illustrated Flow by showing a generated video of an old man using a giant chicken in the backseat to make his car fly. The video didn’t look that great, and weirdly plastic, but it got the point across.

Also included in the update is an enhanced video generator called Veo 3 that Google says has a better understanding of material physics for smoother and more lifelike animations.

Search Goes Full AI Mode

Last year at I/O, Google unleashed its AI Overviews enhancement to search results, a feature that summarizes results from across the web at the top of the screen for some queries. The results were famously varied, from being just plain busted to having hilarious hallucinations to showing actual plagiarism. Nevertheless, Google is now giving its search experience an even shinier AI sheen.

To that end, Google is making search much more chatbot-oriented with its new AI Mode. This search feature was first announced in March 2025 as an experiment, and now it’s available within the default Google search experience for everyone in the US. AI Mode appears in a tab within your search results, so you can switch over to it with a click if it’s available.

The Witcher 4 being about Ciri isn’t “woke” and all the fuss is “stupid” Geralt himself says, fittingly in a video where he offers advice about talking to girls

by admin May 20, 2025

Remember all that whinging from internet weirdos when Ciri was revealed as The Witcher 4’s protagonist late last year? Well, having come out in support of the move at the time, Geralt’s voice actor has now doubled down in even more emphatic fashion, suggesting that you’re a fool if you think it was a “woke” thing to do.

Doug Cockle did so in a video for Fall Damage which saw him react to some Witcher memes. Seriously, at one point he explains that he understands what the distracted boyfriend is, but doesn’t reckon it accurately reflects big Gerry’s love triangle with Yenny from the block and the ginger one.

Confronted with a post about people spamming “woke” when TW4’s trailer rocked up at last year’s Game Awards being “everything that is wrong with gaming culture”, the actor didn’t mince words.

“I wouldn’t say that’s everything that’s wrong with gaming culture, but I do think that’s just stupid,” he said, “It’s not woke. There’s nothing woke about it. It’s a cool character from The Witcher, and they’re gonna focus on that character, and that’s awesome.

“We can’t just have Geralt for every single game for The Witcher ad nauseam, out through eternity. Besides, we’ve seen the end of Geralt’s journey. Blood and Wine was supposed to wrap up Geralt’s journey. I celebrate Ciri. I celebrate her being the protagonist.” He then blew a raspberry at folks who still think it’s “woke”, whatever that word means aside from a thing I don’t like because it might be a tiny bit diverse.

Watch on YouTube

If you do still think it’s woke, the start of the video might help you. It sees Cockle advise us all to be a bit like Geralt and gather up the confidence enough to talk to girls – or whoever you might be interested in – because “they probably don’t bite”. Well, as the actor admitted, “unless you ask them to, probably”.

Later on in the video, Cockle also encounters one of those ‘I bet he’s thinking about other girls’ menes, and goes on to suggest that Geralt isn’t a distracted boyfriend, reasoning: “I think he’s pretty focused on the present. I think when Geralt’s with Yen, he’s thinking about Yen, and when he’s with Triss, he’s thinking about Triss.”

Yes, this is all as surreal to hear said in Geralt’s voice as you might think having just read it in text form.

For more Witcher-related news, you can check out some of its devs reminiscing as TW3 turned 10 the other day, or this mod that has a go at giving that game a Witcher 1-style skill system.

Argentine President Milei Shutters Task Force Investigating Libra Meme Coin Scandal

by admin May 20, 2025

In brief

  • Argentine President Javier Milei promoted a meme coin, LIBRA, in February.
  • The Solana-based token rocketed up in value before crashing—leading to investigations.
  • But the government has scrapped one body tasked with investigating the Argentine leader.

Argentine President Javier Milei has scrapped a body tasked with investigating his role in February’s controversial Libra (LIBRA) meme coin launch.

Documents published on the government’s website on Tuesday show that the body was dissolved in a move approved by Javier Milei. Per the website, the task force had completed its investigation—but it didn’t reveal further details to the public.

President Milei in February was hit with criminal charges after advertising a meme coin called Libra, which he said would benefit Argentina. His government set up an investigative task force to look into any potential wrongdoing, following political pressure.

There was uproar from the opposition and citizens alike following the release of the Solana-based Libra; the coin rocketed up in value before crashing hard, leading some investors and industry observers to claim the launch was a pump-and-dump scheme.

A criminal investigation is still ongoing.

In the world of crypto, meme coins are digital coins that are typically based on internet culture, jokes, or people and events in the news. Thousands of these assets are minted and released some days, and very few manage to gain any substantial value. Fewer still hold onto that value.

President Milei denied any wrongdoing following the launch. Decrypt reached out to the government for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.

But the Argentine leader might have chosen the right time to scrap the committee, according to James Bosworth, founder of Washington D.C.-based risk analysis consultancy Hxagon, which focuses on Latin America.

“Milei is riding high right now,” he told Decrypt. “His effort to drop currency controls has gone about as well as hoped and the peso is stable. He just won a small election in the capital. There is no better moment for him to shut down this investigation, preventing bad info from being released right before the midterm elections later this year.”

The price of Libra has spiked 60% over the past 24 hours, per data from CoinGecko, perhaps from investors eager to see the controversy fade and for the coin to potentially take on a second life. At a daily peak above $0.04 earlier, it’s the highest price seen for Libra in nearly a month.

President Milei won the presidency in 2023 after campaigning to combat the South American country’s sky-high inflation.

The eccentric leader has so far managed to lower prices in Argentina, which struggles with one of the highest inflation rates in the world. Last weekend, the president’s party won the capital’s legislative election.

Meme coins made headlines this year after President Trump released his own official Solana token ahead of his inauguration.

The Solana-based meme coin shot up in price following a trading frenzy before dropping hard. While down 81% from peak, TRUMP remains the 52nd biggest cryptocurrency on the market. Its launch has attracted criticism from lawmakers who have argued the cryptocurrency constitutes a conflict of interest.

President Milei attracted controversy before becoming Argentina’s leader, when in 2022 investors sued him for allegedly promoting a crypto investment platform that promised huge returns to users

Coinbase Faces DOJ Heat Over Hack as It Enters S&P Spotlight

by admin May 20, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Coinbase saw its stock dip on its big day in the S&P 500. It closed at about $263, down from its high. Then came news of a US Justice Department probe into how hackers stole customer data. It’s a sudden turn for the exchange that just replaced Discover Financial Services on the index.

Investigation Underway At DOJ

According to a Bloomberg report, the Justice Department’s criminal division in Washington opened an inquiry into the breach. Investigators want to know how rogue support staff overseas were paid off. They’ll look at the path from initial contact to data theft.

Based on reports, the cyberattack relied on bribing customer service agents. Those insiders then gave criminals the info they needed. The company says no financial accounts were touched. But personal details did end up in the wrong hands.

DOJ probes Coinbase cyberattack involving $20M extortion attempt

Reward Offered To Find Exploiters

Coinbase put up a $20 million reward. That matches the amount hackers demanded in blackmail. Users affected by the breach will get full reimbursements, the exchange promised. It’s one way to keep people from pulling out their coins.

Total crypto market cap currently at $3.27 trillion. Chart: TradingView

Lawyers have filed as many as six lawsuits over the compromised data. That includes top execs like Roelof Botha from Sequoia Capital. Even crypto millionaires are hiring bodyguards after their info leaked. Rival platforms Binance and Kraken saw similar insider attacks.

Stock Debut Marred By Regulatory Clouds

It wasn’t all bad news on listing day. Coinbase became the first crypto firm on the S&P 500. Yet the celebration was muted. The stock first tumbled on May 15 when whispers of the breach hit. It only recovered back to $263 by last Friday.

Image: DeFi Planet

Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal says they’re working with the SEC, though he doubts the probe should drag on. The agency is still looking into past user‑number disclosures that might have misled investors. Now the DOJ is stepping in over the hack itself.

What Comes Next For Customers And Investors

Folks watching Coinbase will want updates on both fronts. Any criminal charges could bring fines or jail time for those involved. Civil suits could cost the exchange more money. And investor faith may wobble if the story drags on.

Coinbase has moved fast to plug its holes. It says new security steps are in place. But with law firms circling and regulators digging deeper, the next few weeks will be critical.

Dell CEO tells us how AI can make us “more effective as a species”

by admin May 20, 2025

  • Dell CEO lays out view of the future of AI
  • AI will never replace human workers, but will aid them instead, Michael Dell says
  • Companies should see AI as a great way to reinvent themselves too

The CEO of Dell Technologies has told TechRadar Pro that AI offers a great opportunity for organizations to re-evaluate themselves to positive effect

Speaking at a media Q&A session at Dell Technologies World 2025, Michael Dell looked to reassure us that AI will never fully replace human workers, and in fact may offer them a whole new outlook.

In a wide-ranging discussion, Dell also laid out his views on political instability affecting the technology industry, and some of his key leadership principles.

“Always some change”

“The way I think about this is that if you look at every progress, that’s for any technology, you always have some change that goes on,” Dell said in response to our question about AI affecting or even replacing human workers.

“My way of thinking is there’s probably a 10 percent effect for that – but I think 90 percent of that is actually growth and expansion and opportunity, and ultimately what I think you’re going to see is more opportunities, more economic growth.”

“There are a lot of things that we don’t do, that we used to do, because we have the tools, and we’re more effective as a species because of that – (using AI) is just another example of that.”

“One of the keys beyond productivity and efficiency I think for organizations, is to reimagine themselves, and say, alright, what is the trajectory of these capabilities, where is it going, and what should our activity look like in three years, five years time, given this capability.”

Sign up to the TechRadar Pro newsletter to get all the top news, opinion, features and guidance your business needs to succeed!

“You know, a lot of roles today just didn’t exist 10, 20, 30 years ago – and no-one was forecasting that.”

(Image credit: Future / Mike Moore)

Having spoken with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in his opening keynote, Dell was also asked if the two shared any overarching leadership principles.

“I think anytime there’s a new technology, you have to leap ahead (and think), what is the likely impact of this, and how do we need to change? And if we don’t have a passion around that, or there isn’t a crisis in your organization – make one! We think it can make us a better company.”

Dell was also asked about how changing global economic and political situations might affect the company’s future outlook

“We agree that those are issues and challenges,” he said, “in my general view, the importance of this technology is greater than all those problems – and I heard somebody say recently, tokens are bigger than tariffs – and that would sort of summarize our view of it.”

“Are all those things helpful to our business? No, they’re not – but there’s a limit of what we can do about that, right? We can certainly do the things we’re supposed to do, and focus on the things we can control – we’re seeing plenty of companies that are dealing with all those challenges just as we are, and powering ahead in any case.”
