Military Incremental Complex is freeware classic Dope Wars for arms dealing

by admin May 22, 2025

Oh, Dope Wars ’98, let me count the ways you moulded me into the man I am today, buying extra large trench coats in which to store my 100 units of acid. Military Incremental Complex riffs off that game’s unmistakably ’98 interface, but instead of playing a cool and aspirational heroin entrepreneur, you play a dastardly bullet merchant. Begin crafting artisan handmade farm-fresh shotgun shells, work your way up to nukes. Typical woke renewable energy propaganda. Can’t even sell massive bundles of dynamite with ‘TNT’ written on them anymore in case it offends the coyotes.

You’ll “produce multiple different weapons, research upgrades, manipulate the stock market, and lobby the government for favours”. It’s from Space Kraken, makers of Squeebing Up The Tower Of Friendship, a game I have not played but enjoy saying the name of aloud. Squeebing. Squeeeebing. “6 hours in the demo and another hour in the released game, I still have no idea what squeebing is,” reads one review. UrbanDictionary defines ‘squeebing’ as … actually, I’m not repeating what UrbanDictionary defines squeebing as. Here’s a trailer with wholesome god-fearing guns in it instead.

Watch on YouTube

Demo? Yes, here. Features? You bet your squeeb there are.

  • Hand Crafted: 11 different weapons to produce, each with their own unique way of being made
  • Automate Production: Expand your means of production, automating and speeding up the process, so you can focus on other things to make your company grow
  • Research New Weapons and Upgrades: 100+ upgrades to research, including new products to produce, better methods of making them, helpful UI additions, ways of increasing your prices, and much more
  • Global Supply Chain: Set up 18 types of mining operations around the world to extract base ores, buy factories to refine those ores into useful materials, and own your entire supply chain
  • Capital Gains: Buy shares of 7 different companies on the stock market, unlocking powerful bonuses once you own certain threshold amounts
  • Get Political: Lobby politicians and spend favors to radically upgrade your other systems
  • Do It All Over Again: Earn enough profit and you can prestige to unlock 16 game-changing abilities that allow for a variety of different builds for each new run
  • Overall, make ridiculous amounts of money as you flood the world with more and more weapons

This one’s out ‘Q3 2025’ if you end up liking the demo. I learnt today that I’ve been calling ‘incremental’ games ‘factory sim-likes’ and I’m not sure which one is more awkward. Number go up em’ ups it is.

The Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop with RTX 4090 is $900 off

by admin May 22, 2025

You have to be prepared to spend a significant amount of cash if you want a powerful gaming laptop, but you should also be on the lookout for any opportunities at savings. Take a look at Alienware deals at Dell, which has tempting offers like this one: the Alienware x16 R2 with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with a $900 discount. From its original price of $3,600, it’s down to $2,700, which is still pretty expensive, but an excellent price for a device of its caliber. You need to hurry though, as it may be back to its regular price as soon as tomorrow!

Why you should buy the Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card that’s found in this configuration of the Alienware x16 R2 is an extremely powerful GPU. When you combine it with the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor and 32GB of RAM, which our guide on how much RAM you need says is the sweet spot for high-end gamers, you’ll enjoy an unparalleled gaming experience when playing the best PC games — and that’s even if you select the most demanding settings.

The Alienware x16 R2 is equipped with a 16-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 480Hz refresh rate, which will allow it to give justice to modern graphics. You’ll be able to install several titles on the gaming laptop as it comes with a 2TB SSD, and with Windows 11 Home out of the box, you can start building your video game library as soon as you turn on the Alienware x16 R2 for the first time.

Gamers who want an upgrade should check out gaming laptop deals, as there are some excellent bargains on top-of-the-line models. Here’s one from Dell — the Alienware x16 R2 with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card for $2,700, for savings of $900 on its sticker price of $3,600. We don’t expect the discount to stick around for much longer though, so if you want to take advantage of this offer, there’s only one thing to do: add the Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop to your cart and finish the checkout process immediately.

Here're the games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in June

Here’re the games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in June

by admin May 21, 2025

Following last week’s PlayStation Plus catalogue additions for May, Sony has announced its next batch of departures, with Monster Hunter Rise and more all leaving the service in June.

In total, PlayStation Plus’ newly updated Last Chance to Play section confirms six titles are currently scheduled to be removed from the service next month, meaning the clock is ticking if you were hoping to see any of the following games’ credits roll:

  • Monster Hunter Rise
  • Rogue Legacy 2
  • Inscryption
  • After Us
  • Kayak VR: Mirage
  • Avicii Invector

Rogue Legacy 2 plays are great as it looks.Watch on YouTube

The good news is it’s a considerably smaller list compared to last month, when Sony jettisoned over 22 titles – including the likes of Grand Theft Auto 5, Batman: Arkham Knight, Payday 2, Ghostrunner, and Journey to the Savage Planet. But that’s not to say none of June’s removals will be missed; Monster Hunter Rise is a stellar entry in Capcom’s long-running series, while Rogue Legacy 2 – with its jauntily compelling permadeath platform exploration – and the wonderfully sinister Inscryption both come highly recommended.

And if you’ve managed to miss the news of PlayStation Plus’ latest additions so far this month, these include Battlefield 5, Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, Humankind, and Sandland for Premium and Extra subscribers. Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, meanwhile, can be picked up across all three membership tiers. You can find more details in Eurogamer’s full PlayStation Plus guide.

First XRP Futures ETF to Be Launched by Volatility Shares

by admin May 21, 2025

  • First 1x XRP futures ETF sees debut
  • Spot XRP ETF next

Renowned investment company Volatility Shares will be launching the first-ever XRP futures ETF on May 22, according to a recent X post shared by Eric Balchunas, a senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg.

This big move, which marks the first of its kind in the crypto industry, will see Volatility Shares offer XRP-based investment products.

VolatilityShares is launching the first-ever XRP futures ETF tomorrow, ticker $XRPI.. yes there is a 2x XRP already on market (this is first 1x) and it has $120m aum and trades $35m/day. Good signal that there will be demand for this one. pic.twitter.com/rCooyNZgu0

— Eric Balchunas (@EricBalchunas) May 21, 2025

First 1x XRP futures ETF sees debut

The launch of this investment product, which is scheduled for May 22, comes amid growing institutional demand for XRP futures, just 2 days after their initial launch on CME.

Apparently, the groundbreaking launch of XRP futures on CME has paved the way for major adoptions like this, providing institutional investors with the opportunity to securely leverage XRP futures contracts.

While this major development has sparked speculation across the broader crypto market, it is already seeing adoption among institutions, positioning the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization for a sustainable bullish momentum.

According to Balchunas, the fund will trade under the ticker XRPI, representing part of the Volatility Shares Trust fund.

You Might Also Like

This big move from Volatility Shares comes barely a month after Tectrium launched its XRP-based investment product, Tectrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF.

In his post, Balchunas acknowledged the existence of this 2x Long Daily XRP ETF, an initiative that focuses on providing returns that double the daily gains projected by XRP in the market.

However, Balchunas emphasized that the proposed XRP futures launch from Volatility Shares is the first 1x XRP futures ETF, propelling XRP toward mainstream adoption.

While the Tectrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF already boasts $120 million in assets and a massive $35 million daily trading volume, Balchunas is confident that it will boost investor confidence, thereby fueling demand for the 1x XRP futures ETF.

Notably, Volatility Shares’ decision to launch an XRP futures ETF will see the firm providing its investors with returns based on XRP market gains.

Spot XRP ETF next

While the U.S. SEC’s decision on the proposed spot XRP ETF has not yet been disclosed, market participants and experts are confident that the launch of the spot XRP ETF is fast approaching.

The major developments within the Ripple ecosystem in recent days position the digital asset for more institutional demand.

As such, there are speculators who believe that these developments may be the stepping stones the spot XRP ETF needs to achieve SEC approval.

Dogecoin Falling Wedge Breakout Puts Bulls In Charge, Target Moves Up To $0.62

by admin May 21, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Crypto analyst Rose has highlighted a bullish pattern for the Dogecoin price, which puts the DOGE bulls firmly in control. Based on this, the analyst predicts that the meme coin could at some point blast past its current local high at around $0.45 and reach $0.62.

Dogecoin Price Eyes $0.62 As Falling Wedge Breakout Pattern Forms

In a TradingView post, Rose predicted that the Dogecoin price could rally to $0.62 as a falling wedge breakout forms. The analyst noted that the chart shows a confirmed breakout from a classic falling wedge pattern, combined with a rounded bottom formation. This indicates that DOGE has the potential to reverse and rally to the upside in the mid-to-long term.

With the Dogecoin price above $0.22, Rose affirmed that the trend outlook is bullish, especially with the falling wedge and rounded bottom, which are both bullish indicators. The analyst went further to outline the price targets for DOGE on this potential breakout. The first is $0.3757, which would be the initial resistance and likely short-term target.

Source: Rose on Tradingview

The second target is $0.4884, which Rose noted was the previous high and a probable profit-taking level. The third target is $0.6160, which is the full measured move from the wedge breakout. The analyst warned that a strong drop below the psychological $0.20 price level could invalidate this breakout. Meanwhile, a retest of support levels before continuation is also possible.

DOGE Well Primed To Reach New Highs Despite Correction

Crypto analyst MMBT Trader also indicated that the recent Dogecoin price correction was nothing to worry about, noting that the descending channel always appears in a bull market. The analyst claimed that this allows the price to rest for a while before it breaks out to the upside. MMBT Trader also expects DOGE to reach new highs on this breakout.

The analyst affirmed that a Dogecoin price rally above $0.40 would be extremely bullish. He predicts that this rally would put $0.75 and the much-anticipated $1 level in sight, with both targets marking a new all-time high (ATH) for the meme coin.

Crypto analyst Trader Tardigrade revealed that the Dogecoin price has formed a channel pullback again. Based on this, he claimed that a price breakout is inevitable. His accompanying chart showed that DOGE could rally to $0.26 in the short term on this breakout.

The analyst is also confident of a breakout because of the bullish expanding triangle, which recently appeared on the meme coin’s 3-day chart. A breakout from this triangle points to a rally to this $0.26 target by June.

At the time of writing, the Dogecoin price is trading at around $0.23, up over 2% in the last 24 hours, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Zalman shows off woodgrain ATX and Micro-ATX cases

by admin May 21, 2025

Zalman brought a bevy of computer cases to Computex 2025, including a mixture of high-end and mid-range options, with ATX and micro-ATX form factors. We were able to take a look at two new options at Zalman’s booth, the P10 Namu and P40 Namu.

The P40 Namu is a premium fish-tank computer chassis accepting ATX-sized motherboards or smaller. One of the chassis’ defining features (that separates it from its competitors) is a wooden accent that wraps around the case below the main compartment. The case is available in black and white color schemes.

Image 1 of 2

The side and front panels are made up of two seamless tempered glass panels that have no visible border installed on the case. The P40 Namu is comprised of a whopping 10 fan mounts: three on the side, three on the top, and three on the bottom. The side mounts can fit up to three 240 mm fans or three 120 mm fans, and the top can fit up to three 120 mm fans or two 240 mm fans. The bottom and rear fan mounts are limited to 120 mm fans.

Likewise, the chassis supports up to 360 mm-sized radiators on the top and side, with support for 280 mm radiators on the top, considering only 140 mm fan-compatible AIO liquid coolers/radiators. The bottom fan mounts have no official radiator support, but radiator sizes of up to 360mm can likely fit and work regardless (if airflow permits).

The case comes with four RGB illuminated fans, an ARGB controller, rotatable PCIe slots for horizontal or vertical GPU operation, magnetic dust filters on the top and bottom, and dedicated GPU brackets. Storage bays are located on the bottom and rear of the P40, supporting either two 3.5-inch HDDs or three 2.5-inch SSDs or HDDs.

The P10 is a more conventional offering aimed at the mid-range market, competing against wood-grained chassis such as the Fractal Design North. Similar to that chassis, the P10 has a woodgrain finish on the front, which is its defining feature, with slots that allow air to be pulled through by the intake fans behind the front woodgrain panel. Just like the P40 Namu, the P10 Namu comes in black and white color schemes.

Form factor-wise, the P10 Namu is micro-ATX, compatible with micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards only. Despite its smaller form factor, the case still supports an impressive 9 fans in total, as long as they are all 120 mm in size. Three fans can be installed on the top and on the bottom, two in the front and one in the rear. The top fan mounts are the only mounts compatible with either 120 mm or 140 mm fans, but if you go with 140 mm fans, you have to go down to two fans. Radiator support is limited to a single 24 0mm or 120mm radiator on top or a single 120 mm radiator in the back. Surprisingly, there is no official radiator support in the front.

Get Tom’s Hardware’s best news and in-depth reviews, straight to your inbox.

Speaking of cooling, another defining trait of the P10 Namu is its unique ventilation system. The case has additional ventilation for the bottom chamber, right below the tempered glass side panel, and a huge ventilation area on the rear side panel (areas that traditionally don’t get any extra ventilation). This should help cool hubs and/or storage drives in the lower chamber or rear area.

The PC case maker showed off a plethora of other cases beyond the P40 and P10 Namu, including an even higher-end P60 variant and a P40 variant with a built-in LCD screen.

New Battlefield 6 gameplay leak is not something fans were hoping for

by admin May 21, 2025

The leak’s giving mixed signals.

Published: May 21, 2025 03:55 pm

A new Battlefield 6 leak has surfaced online, and the gameplay we can see from the footage is not what fans have been hoping for.

Judging by the video from the leaked video on X, Battlefield 6 looks to be set in modern times, and not in the past or future, like some of the previous titles, such as Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 5.

A certain section of the fanbase was left disappointed with the gameplay quality. One confused it with Battlefield 4, while another claimed, “There is no new taste of play.”

One player feels the gameplay looks “twitchy,” while another chimed in, “I hate the way he’s holding that weapon. It was never like this back in the old days. It looks bad, and I don’t think that’s the normal way of holding a rifle.”

Some fans suggested ways to bring back the franchise to its former glory, the time when players flocked to Battlefield 3 and 4. One player said, “All they have to do is make it like BF3 and 4, and we’re golden with classes and not stupid operators.” “Looks like the same boring sh*t,” said another.

A player compared the footage to the last entry in the BF franchise and said, “Shooting still looks stiff like 2042.” With other competitors in the market like Call of Duty, which offer gameplay based on modern warfare, things can get a little monotonous for some.

One such player thinks, “all modern warfare games look like COD, fast movement, no weight, a lot of gadgets, and no feeling of risk. There’s a tank shooting, and it looks like it’s just playing with lights and smoke coming out of the place, what a joke.”

The leaked footage has everything we’ve seen in the BF games over these years – destruction, chaos, tanks, and the usual game modes. Like the previous games, a total of four players can squad up to take down the opposition.

Battlefield 2042 was the last title from EA way back in November 2021. It’s been more than three years since it was released, and Battlefield 6 is scheduled to release sometime before March 31, 2026. We don’t have an official date yet.

Will XRP Futures ETF Launch Be Successful?

by admin May 21, 2025

According to Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas, VolatilityShares is on track to launch an XRP-based exchange-traded product in the US on Thursday.

As reported by U.Today, a 2X XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) from Teucrium debuted last month. The product secured a very respectable trading volume of roughly $5 million on its first day.

Balchunas has noted that the leveraged product offered by Teucrium already boasts $120 million in assets under management and trades $35 million.

The prominent analyst has interpreted this as a “good signal” of robust future demand.

In the meantime, it remains unclear when ProShares is to reveal the launch date for its futures-based XRP ETF products.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has also denied making a decision on several spot-based XRP ETFs in the U.S, including the ones from Franklin Templeton.

Epic Universe’s Best Ride Might Just Come From the Dark Universe

by admin May 21, 2025

The portal into a whole world of gods and monsters has been opened at Epic Universe, Orlando, Florida’s newest theme park. The Universal Monsters reign supreme at the Dark Universe, where you explore the world of Darkmoor that just so happens to be the place where so many of Universal Studios’ classic horror films intersect. io9 was thrilled to be among the first to ride its main attraction: Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.

At the center of the action is the Frankenstein Manor, where Victoria Frankenstein resides and continues the mad work of her ancestor Victor. She’s built a new monster prototype and aims to capture the horrors of the icons of fright. Under her watch she’s got the Phantom of the Opera, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, and more with the help of her Frankenstein she aims to dominate Dracula.

© io9 Gizmodo

What transpires is an awesome and action-packed thrill ride into the monster mash of your dreams if you’re a horror fan. You see Victoria, a badass leather-donning scientist, and her monster attempt to harness Drac’s power—but it might be more than they can keep their grip on because: BAT! Dracula can burst into smaller creatures of the night and aims to escape domestication for some sort of Monsters Avengers team-up. Yes, really.

The ride itself uses a similar mechanism to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, where you are moved around practical and video scenes to witness the story. Along the way you bear witness to exciting monster squad squabble up moments with state of the art animatronics. To me, it’s my favorite ride and I love how passionate the lore crafted around it seemed to be. If the ride were to breakdown, I’d say “Well, I guess I live here now”—that’s how amazing the showrooms are.

For thrill ride fans, Epic Universe also features Curse of the Werewolf, a spinning coaster inspired by the Wolf-Man that also features incredible animatronic work.

© io9 Gizmodo

While you might not be able to live there, Darkmoor feels the most lived-in, in the best way. The wandering interactions with Igor, the Invisible Man, the Monster, and the Bride of Frankenstein weave a new classic story you’re a part of. The Bride even calls this new Frank her friend as the body of her Frankenstein rests in the queue of Frankenstein Manor.

They’re existing in a timeline where monsters are celebrated and feared by the villagers. They even have a Burning Blade Tavern, which homages the studio’s original horror film universe and incorporates the lore into the ambiance and even the menu items. I love myself a character-shaped pretzel and you’ll find a Frankenstein one here to suit your snacking needs.

And one of the most killer facts? The score of the land is composed by none other than “Dead Man’s Party” legend Danny Elfman (Beetlejuice). There’s even a part-exclusive vinyl you can buy of his work, pressed for a limited special release only in the theme park land.

© io9 Gizmodo

The Dark Universe also offers the chance to not only walk among the creatures of the night but be one too, thanks to the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience. It’s the most important spooky, scary appointment you need to make if you go. Mad scientists, er, makeup artists transform you and help you look like you walk among the shadows beneath the scorching Florida sun. It’s worth it and there’s even cosplay lite fashion gear to feel like you belong. For the first time in my life, I finally found a theme park land where I felt the most at home and in my true form.

Epic Universe opens this Friday at Universal Studios Orlando. Travel and accommodations as well as the monster make-up demo were provided for the purposes of this review.

Here’s The GTA 6 Trailer Recreated In San Andreas & Vice City

by admin May 21, 2025

Screenshot: Foosmoke / Rockstar Games / Kotaku

Someone has perfectly recreated the second Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer in the PS2-era GTA game San Andreas (with some help from Vice City, too).

You Should Play Grand Theft Auto III Before GTA VI | Total Recall

It’s a time-honored tradition to recreate new Grand Theft Auto trailers in older games and other media. And while it might not be a new phenomenon, it’s still enjoyable to watch these fan creations as they show us just how far Rockstar’s tech has come over the decades. So I knew that after Rockstar published GTA 6‘s second trailer earlier this month, following the news that the open-world sequel was being delayed until May 2026, someone would set out to recreate the new video in a previous GTA game. And here we are.

Foosmoke made the video using mostly GTA San Andreas to recreate nearly every moment from the new GTA 6 trailer. Sometimes the creator adds extra details using video editing tricks or bits from Vice City, but this is still more or less the GTA 6 trailer recreated in San Andreas, and it’s a blast to watch.

Previously, Foosmoke recreated the first GTA 6 trailer as if it were a PS2-era game. That video is also great. Of course, Foosmoke wasn’t alone in recreating that first trailer. Plenty of people did as well, sometimes in other games or even, in one case, in real life.

Fans have done similar recreations in the past. I fondly remember this recreation of Grand Theft Auto V’s first trailer in San Andreas. It’s wild how much more realistic Rockstar’s newer GTA games look compared to past entries. However, I do miss the more primitive and blocky visuals, as they live firmly in a very nostalgic part of my brain.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on May 26, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox.
