This 4.7-Star Ryzen 7 Mini PC Plays Cyberpunk 2077 at a Record Low Price, Better Gaming Value Than Mac Mini

by admin September 26, 2025

City apartments don’t offer a ton of living space. So if you find yourself in either a one bedroom or studio, you’re going to have to make some tough decisions surrounding how every square inch gets used. This is especially true when it comes to your desk setup. It may not be worth it for you to dedicate a tone of surface area to a huge PC tower. Go with a mini instead. The Geekom Mini PC AX8 Max is currently on sale for 29% off. It’s normally priced at $749 but has come down to just $529. That saves you a staggering $220.

AAA Gaming on a Mini PC

This compact case measuring in at only 5.4 by 5.1 by 1.7 inches contains a full-on PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and AMD Radeon 780M graphics card. As far as mobile integrated GPUs go, this one is pretty darn good. You might actually be able to play some of the more demanding games out there like Cyberpunk 2077 so long as you keep it in minimum graphics settings. And then lots of smaller indie titles should play pretty smoothly. You can actually even connect the AX8 Max to an AMD discrete graphics card over one of the USB-C ports to improve your graphics further. The mini PC has also got a fair amount of memory with its 32GB of RAM plus a full 1TB of storage on its PCle SSD.

Mini PCs are pretty perfect for your “everyday” computer tasks. By that I mean the day-to-day stuff like browsing the web, sending out emails, queuing up a YouTube video, or doing anything you need in Microsoft Office apps like PowerPoint, Excel, or Word.

With the two USB-C ports and the two HDMI ports, you can actually connect to up to four displays at once without the help of a dedicated docking station. Over USB-C, you can achieve an 8K resolution at 30Hz while the HDMI 2.0 ports can get you 4K resolution  at 60Hz. And since the PC is so small, you can just mount the whole thing to the back of one of your monitors, taking up no surface area on your desk at all.

The Geekom AX8 Max can be set to three different modes, based on your needs in the moments. First up is the default mode. Not much to say there. Next we have quiet mode which can reduce power consumption and noise. Great for some light office work or while studying and needing to focus. Then we have performance mode which is optimized for AAA gaming.

Meta announces paid subscriptions for both Instagram and Facebook in the UK

by admin September 26, 2025

Facebook and Instagram users in the UK will soon be offered paid subscriptions that remove ads. In the coming weeks, those over the age of 18 can pay £3 ($4) per month on the web, or £4 ($5) per month when using Meta’s iOS or Android apps. If you’re wondering why the mobile version is more expensive, Meta blames that on fees levied by Apple and Google in their respective app stores.

A no-ads subscription will apply to any Facebook and Instagram account added to a Meta Accounts Center, which is what Meta uses to let users connect various Meta logins on its different platforms. Any additional account listed in a user’s Accounts Center will automatically gain their own subscription for an extra £2 ($3) per month on the web or £3 ($4) per month for iOS and Android. Anyone who chooses to decline Meta’s offer will continue to see ads on its free platforms as normal, and can still use Ad Preferences to choose which ads they would prefer to see more or less of.

Meta says the change is a response to new regulatory “consent or pay” guidance from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), whereby users are given the choice between consenting to an organization using their data to personalize ads, or paying to avoid it. Meta previously introduced a similar change for its EU users, offering an ad-free subscription option for €10 ($11), but was fined €200 million by the European Commission for allegedly failing to comply with its stricter Digital Markets Act (DMA) laws. The company later offered a revised, cheaper, ad-free plan that was still being assessed by the EC earlier this year.

Meta praised the ICO for its “constructive approach” to personalised ads, which it insists provide the best experience for both its users and businesses, and criticised EU regulators for continuing to “overreach” with its privacy regulations. As reported by Bloomberg, digital advertising accounted for around 97 percent of Meta’s revenue in 2024.

XRP price Elliot Wave pattern points to a surge as catalysts mount

by admin September 26, 2025

XRP price dropped to an important support level today, Sept. 26, as the recent cryptocurrency market crash continued.

Summary

  • An Elliot Wave analysis points to an eventual XRP price rebound in the fourth quarter.
  • The coin has formed other bullish patterns like a flag and cup-and-handle, pointing to more gains.
  • There are signs of more demand for XRP after the spot XRP ETF approvals.

Ripple (XRP) token dropped to $2.7, down by 26% from its highest level this month. Still, its technical and points to a strong rebound in the coming weeks.

XRP price Elliot Wave pattern points to a rebound

The daily timeframe chart shows that the XRP price is in the impulse phase of the Elliott Wave pattern.

The first phase started in June and then ended on July 18. It is now in the second phase, which normally retraces between 50% and 61.8% of the first bullish wave.

The second phase is then followed by the third one, which is normally the most bullish and the longest.

XRP has also formed other highly bullish chart patterns. For example, the lower side of the second Elliott Wave coincided with the formation of a double-bottom pattern at $2.70. The neckline of this pattern is at $3.20.

Additionally, the coin has formed a descending channel, which is part of the bullish flag pattern, one of the most popular continuation chart patterns in technical analysis.

The falling channel is part of the formation of the handle section of the cup-and-handle pattern.

Therefore, the combination of the Elliott Wave, double-bottom, bullish flag, and cup-and-handle points to an eventual rebound, potentially to the year-to-date high of $3.65, followed by the psychological level at $5.00

ETF growth to boost the Ripple token

XRP price has some notable catalysts that will help drive it higher in the coming weeks.

The most notable one is the rising odds that the Securities and Exchange Commission will approve the spot XRP ETFs as early as in October when the deadline for most of them comes.

XRP ETFs will likely have strong demand, as the recently launched XRPR fund has demonstrated, with its assets jumping to nearly $100 million in just a week.

The other futures-based XRP ETFs, like those launched by Teucrium and ProShares, have had substantial inflows in the past few months.

XRP Ledger has become a top-ten chain in the real-world asset (RWA) tokenization industry with over $350 million in assets. The developers hope to continue growing this market share by launching a new upgrade later this year.

Ripple Labs also hopes to become a major player in the payments industry, where it is partnering with banks and other companies to help simplify cross-border payments. Its stablecoin, RLUSD, which has accumulated $741 million in assets, will play a major role in this.

Satoshi’s Bitcoin Holdings at Risk? Quantum Computing Advances

by admin September 26, 2025

Bitcoin’s pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, is believed to hold an estimated 1.096 million BTC, according to Arkham data. Satoshi’s wallet, which made all its holdings from mining the network in its earliest days, has remained untouched since 2010, when it was run on a few laptops.

Satoshi accumulated this Bitcoin, mining over 22,000 blocks between 2009 and 2010. He was one of the first few miners of Bitcoin, with block rewards nearing over 50 BTC at the time.

According to Arkham data, Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoin stash is currently worth $119,640,092,296 ($119.64 billion) at a current Bitcoin price of $109,125.

With a current Bitcoin worth of $119.64 billion, Satoshi Nakamoto ranks among the wealthiest individuals on the planet, but none of the BTC has ever been moved.

Satoshi’s Bitcoin holdings’ fate predicted

Satoshi’s Bitcoin holdings, accumulated from early network mining, have been untouched since 2010, but recent concerns about Quantum computing seem to be shifting this narrative.

Satoshi’s coins will be market dumped. In 2-8 years Quantum will break Bitcoin. These are scientifically calculated timelines. We must upgrade Bitcoin NOW. We are running out of time.

What are you doing about it?

Come to my @token2049 talk: 10:45am, Wed 1 Oct!

“Thank you for… pic.twitter.com/b4GR3S4Qjc

— Charles Edwards (@caprioleio) September 26, 2025

In light of this, Capriole Fund Founder Charles Edwards speculates on what the fate of Satoshi coins might be: they could be market dumped.

As quantum computing continues to advance, timelines for when a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could crack modern encryption algorithms are emerging.

Edwards gives this timeline to be 2-8 years (which would be from 2027 to 2033), stating this range to be “scientifically calculated timelines.”

The timeline of when cryptocurrency encryption standards might be cracked by a sufficiently powerful quantum computer is causing debate among blockchain developers, as well as when migration to quantum-resistant cryptography must occur. Edwards indicated that the time to upgrade Bitcoin is now, as it is running out of time.

Hell yeah, I want a Gundam keyboard with Topre switches

by admin September 26, 2025

Japanese keyboard brand Realforce is teaming up with the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise and releasing four limited edition mechanical keyboards inspired by popular Gundam designs. The four keyboards are based on the Z Gundam and Hyaku Shiki from Zeta Gundam and the Nu Gundam and Sazabi of Char’s Counterattack fame. Realforce’s Japanese site indicates reservations will begin in late December, but there is no pricing.

All four models are based on the Realforce GX1, a wired tenkeyless keyboard that normally runs $250-ish. Realforce keyboards are made by the Topre Corporation; they use capacitive Topre switches, like the cult classic Happy Hacking Keyboard.

Realforce mentions both English layout as well as Japanese ISO, so hopefully these mecha-inspired mechs won’t be exclusive to Japan. As a Gundam fan, I’m certainly crossing my fingers they come to the US.

But as cool as these keyboards look, I think their designs are a little plain — like the Asus ROG Strix Scope Gundam Edition before them. Elsewhere, there are Gundam-inspired keycap sets out there that really amp up the nerdy anime fun. I know because I’ve bought some myself. In addition to the Char Zaku II keycaps I put on the Zoom75 Tiga in our recent keyboard buying guide, I’ve got Hi-Nu Gundam and Sazabi keycaps on my Epomaker P75 and Keychron Q1 Max.

Now I just need the matching Gunpla kits.

Industry veterans form Australian-based publisher Midnighters

by admin September 26, 2025

A group of games industry veterans have launched a new publisher called Midnighters.

The Australian firm’s leadership team consists of four co-directors: Zea Wolfe (Massive Monster, Die Gute Fabrik), Jair McBain (Land & Sea, Lune Interactive), Aaron Oak (Zero Dimension, Funselektor), and Jacob Vincent (Funselektor, Wymac Gaming Solutions).

Midnighters will provide services to “better support indie developers” with their collective experience, with the aim to help studios develop games “more sustainably”.

The publisher’s services include project management, marketing, release management, public relations, business development, and community engagement.

It’s also open to offering a “full service or light-touching publishing experience” by providing “upfront funding” or teams looking for publishing support “in exchange for a smaller share of project royalties than a typical publisher would expect.”

“The typical publishing model doesn’t always meet the needs of independent developers,” said Wolfe (via Game Developer).

“With our backgrounds as artists, designers, and engineers ourselves, we aim to offer a tailored approach that supports developers in doing what they do best. We are driven by a deep understanding of what it feels like to be in their shoes.”

Midnighters is currently working with Alien Cat x Nomo Studio to support and publish its cozy room decorator title Momento.

The publisher is currently accepting pitches, with developers encouraged to fill out the form linked here.

MrBeast Invests Nearly $1M in ASTER Token Amid Market Scrutiny

by admin September 26, 2025

Popular YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, has invested nearly $1 million in the ASTER, native token of decentralized derivatives exchange Aster.

According to Lookonchain, MrBeast purchased 538,384 ASTER tokens worth nearly $990,000 over the past three days. He reportedly deposited $1 million USDT into Aster using two public wallets before withdrawing the tokens at an average cost of $1.87 from the exchange.

The purchase comes after he recently lost $20k while going long on the token on September 22.

As of writing, ASTER token was trading at $1.79, down 12.39% in the last 24 hours, with a 24-hour volume of $2.52 billion, as per CoinMarketCap data.

MrBeast’s trading history raises eyebrows

MrBeast has previously faced criticism for allegedly hyping tokens and then selling at a profit. Lookonchain revealed he made over $23 million from getting in early on new projects and promoting them. MrBeast’s biggest crypto payday came from SuperVerse. Insiders have reportedly sold during a massive 50x price jump, leaving regular investors with heavy losses.

MrBeast (@MrBeast), an influencer with 31.2M followers, has engaged in insider trading, misleading investors, and using his influence to pump tokens, only to dump them later.

He has made over $23M in profits from various crypto projects:

$11.45M from $SUPER
$4.65M from $ERN… pic.twitter.com/gMtXVemCDE

— Lookonchain (@lookonchain) October 30, 2024

The controversy didn’t stop there. Reports claimed that he deleted social media posts and leaked private messages, suggesting he may have had ties to other questionable projects. Some of them include Ethernity Chain, Polkamon, STAK, and AIOZ Network.

On September 21, Lookonchain noted on X, “MrBeast profited over $23M through insider trading, misleading investors, and using his influence to pump tokens.” While supporters argue this reflects sharp investing, critics see an exploitative pattern.

Aster’s rapid growth and challenges

According to data from DefiLlama, Aster recently reached $24.7 billion in daily perpetual trading volume, far outpacing Hyperliquid’s $10 billion number. Aster’s token generation event last week attracted attention as well, as Binance Co-Founder CZ acknowledged the high demand for it.

However, the token encountered challenges when XPL contracts surged unexpectedly. In an X post, the exchange assured the affected that “all funds are SAFU” and promptly reimbursed any losses within hours.

We are aware of abnormal price movements on the XPL perpetual trading pair. Rest assured, all user funds are SAFU. We are conducting a full review and will compensate any affected users for losses.

— Aster (@Aster_DEX) September 25, 2025

MrBeast’s $1 million move into ASTER has everyone talking, but it also brings extra attention from regulators. Investors should stay alert and think twice before following the hype.

Borderlands 4 Stuttering On PC? Gearbox Has An Unusual Step To Fix Stability Issues

by admin September 26, 2025

The newest Borderlands 4 patch arrived on September 25, addressing stability and performance issues. The update doesn’t fix everything, though, and now developer Gearbox has given players some advice about how to addresses ongoing stability issues.

The developer said it’s aware of players experiencing stuttering issues following installation of the new update, impacting performance. This is due to shader compilation that’s occurring in the background during gameplay, which it said should clear up after 15 minutes of “continuous play.” That’s an unusual note, as shader compilation is typically handled during start-up, before you begin playing, in order to avoid just these sorts of issues. If the stuttering doesn’t clear up after 15 minutes, Gearbox advised clearing your shader cache, which is a process specific to your graphics card’s manufacturer.

Now Playing: Borderlands 4 Video Review

The technical issues with Borderlands 4 prompted Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford to post through it, but he’s since moved on to posting a lot about the upcoming Now You See Me movie sequel. Pitchford contributed to the magic elements of the movie and says he was more involved with that film that the Borderlands movie.

The September 25 patch for Borderlands 4 also added an FOV slider on console, which is something fans had asked for (and something that can reduce performance). The patch also made some balance changes to Vault Hunters, and even more are coming in another update that’s planned for next week.

In other Borderlands 4 news, the Switch 2 edition has been delayed indefinitely and all digital preorders are being refunded. Gearbox delayed the game to help add more polish and to support cross-saves.

Name.com review | TechRadar

by admin September 26, 2025

Why you can trust TechRadar

We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

Name.com is best known as a domain registrar, but you might not even know that you’re using it. If you’ve used Wix, you’ll likely have got your domain through name.com without giving it a second thought.

Without giving it a second thought seems to be the ethos of name.com which is especially useful for developers who want to build quickly and seamlessly or the less technical ones that don’t want to mess around with DNS and might require support when things don’t quite go to plan.

Of course, this level of support and innovation doesn’t come at the cheapest price but buying a domain isn’t always about the lowest bottom line.

Of course, name.com is best known as a domain registrar, and for good reason. It offers one of the largest TLD selections of any registrar with over 600 TLDs, so you can rest assured that you’ll find the exact TLD you’re looking for. From popular TLDs like .com and .co.uk to niche and trendy ones like .ai, .lol, and .cool, name.com has everything.

A standard .com domain will cost you $12.99 for the first year (renews at $27.99), plus $4.99/year for name.com’s advanced security tier, which includes WHOIS privacy, SSL certificate, and protection against spam calls and unauthorized transfers or changes.

However, name.com offers some serious first-year discounts if you bundle Titan Email or Google Workspace. This is how it works:

  • If you buy Titan Email (Name.com’s paid email hosting, costs $24 per year), they’ll throw in the domain for free for the first year.
  • If you buy Google Workspace (Google’s email/productivity suite, sold via Name.com, costs $42 per year), you can get the domain for only $0.99 for the first year.
  • If you buy both, the best discount (i.e. the Titan Email one) will be applied, so your domain will still be $0 for the first year.
  • It’s worth noting that both Google Workspace and Titan Email are available at a flat 50% discount with name.com.

Hosting products: web, cloud, and WordPress

Name.com now offers a decent list of hosting products, ranging from simple web hosting to cloud and one-click install WordPress hosting.

Sign up to the TechRadar Pro newsletter to get all the top news, opinion, features and guidance your business needs to succeed!

The most basic web hosting plan lets you build a single website and set up 100 email accounts for $6 a month on a 1-year subscription. Note that name.com does not offer multi-year subscriptions for its hosting services. The business plan, which is built for scale, is priced at $13 a month on a 1-year subscription and supports unlimited websites, unlimited email accounts, and unlimited storage.

Every account also includes a free SSL certificate, automated backups every 48 hours, a 99.9% uptime guarantee, and the industry-standard cPanel for easy management. Even better, you’ll get a free domain name for the first year. For example, if you choose a .com domain that usually costs $12.99, it will be free for the first year and then renew at its usual rate from the second year onward.

That said, keep in mind that the privacy bundle for a domain name (around $4.99) is not included in the free package. You’ll have to pay for that separately.

Cloud hosting is also more than decent. Name.com has partnered with DigitalOcean and offers its basic shared Droplets. For a standard 60 GB Droplet, you’ll have to pay $216 a year, and if that wasn’t expensive enough, backups – which are usually free with other providers – will set you back another $72 a year. This is pretty expensive by industry standards.

That said, there are still some strong points on offer: you get global data centers, one-click deployments, and support for popular platforms like WordPress, Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS. The provider also mentions easy upgrades. However, with cloud hosting, the gold standard is automatic scaling and geo-redundancy. Name.com doesn’t clearly state how many data centers it offers, while other dedicated cloud hosts are more transparent, letting you confirm redundancy before signing up.

Also, this is shared hosting and not managed cloud, so you won’t get managed extras. In fact, the website’s FAQs state directly that you’ll need a base-level understanding of Linux and the command line to take full advantage of this self-managed cloud hosting. So it’s definitely not for everyone.

As for WordPress hosting, name.com offers just a single plan at $29.95 a year. It comes with everything you’d need for a basic website: one-click installation, unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth, free daily backups, plugin support, and a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate. However, if you’re looking for more advanced features like staging environments, automatic updates, or optimized caching, you might be better off elsewhere.

All in all, unless you’re looking into name.com’s hosting products to simply get everything (hosting, domain, site builder) in one place, you’ll be better off with a dedicated web host, as you’re likely to get more features there – and at a better price.

Performance & customer support

The last time we tested name.com, it actually cropped up above-par performance, delivering consistent uptime and impressive speeds.

Our latest tests, though, are still ongoing, and we’ll soon update this page to reflect the most recent findings – so stay tuned.

Name.com’s hosting is aimed more or less at beginners, and that means the company needs to provide the quality support its target audience requires. The company’s knowledgebase is decent enough, with menus and links pointing you to various topics, featured articles highlighting common issues, and there’s a search box to help you track down what you need.

We tried a few test searches. The engine regularly reported finding large numbers of articles, but these cover all name.com products, not just web hosting, so we had to scroll through various domain registration and email hosting articles to find what we needed.

The situation picked up once we located more relevant content. There’s usually not a lot of detail, but most articles cover the core points, with screenshots to point you in the right direction, and some video tutorials if you prefer.

There’s a support team to deal with more complex queries. They’re available via telephone and live chat, only for a limited number of hours (7am to 10pm phone and 12pm to 3am Monday to Friday for phone, 2am to 8pm chat), but there’s 24/7 ticket support if you need it.

Final verdict

Name.com is a fantastic storefront where you can find everything you need to get an online business underway. It offers excellent and affordable domain registration, along with bundled extras like Google Workspace with Gemini and Titan Email with AI-driven features. On top of that, you also get hosting options, including WordPress hosting.

That said, if your main priority is hosting, you’ll likely be better served by a dedicated web host. While name.com has expanded its hosting range, these services still feel more like strong add-ons that complement its core strength: domain registration.

Worried about Black Ops series fatigue? So is Treyarch, as senior developer admits back-to-back Call of Duty releases could impact player interest

by admin September 26, 2025

A senior developer from Call of Duty studio Treyarch has admitted worry over series fatigue, as Black Ops 7 arrives next month just one year after the last game.

Typically, Call of Duty games are released annually on a rotating basis, alternating between Modern Warfare and Black Ops. But this year, Black Ops 7 follows on from last year’s Black Ops 6 – though it’s not the first time, as two Modern Warfare games arrived back-to-back in 2022 and 2023.

“I think the honest answer is yes. I worry about that,” said senior director of production Yale Miller when asked by CharlieIntel (thanks Dexerto) about the games being viewed as too similar.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 | Zombies Gameplay Reveal TrailerWatch on YouTube

“Obviously, there was a plan with the two MW games and then this. We’ll see what the franchise does in the future. We’re excited about the opportunities it gave us, but we’d all be dead lying if we said we weren’t worried about that.”

Though part of the same world, Black Ops 6 was set in the ’90s while this year’s game is set in 2035 for a near-future tone, which should provide an opportunity to differentiate.

“We’re absolutely going to bring it from a content perspective in our live seasons,” said Miller. “How can we have new gameplay experiences? More content, more maps, weeklies, with functional stuff like deeper weapon prestige experiences.”

At yesterday’s Xbox Tokyo Game Show Broadcast, two Black Ops 7 multiplayer maps were revealed inspired by Japan. Toshin is a Japanese metropolis with neon-lit streets and a cat cafe, while Den is a Japanese castle.

More multiplayer details were revealed earlier this week in a lengthy blog post, while a trailer for its zombie mode was released yesterday (see above).

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 promises to be the “most mind-bending” game in the series yet. Tyler Bahl, head of Activision Publishing Marketing previously stated the back-to-back releases also gives players “a bit more time to enjoy all the live seasons and provide players more of what they want across Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone before we turn the page to Black Ops 7.”
