The 25 Best iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Cases for 2025

by admin September 27, 2025

All the iPhone 16 models are equipped with Apple’s MagSafe feature, which offers faster wireless charging with compatible chargers. It also supports optional accessories — including the MagSafe wallet, mini wallets and various mounts — that adhere magnetically to the back of your phone. Like the iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 has “an array of magnets” (Apple says they’re recycled) embedded around a charging coil that can pull up to 15 watts of power.

If you want to use those MagSafe accessories without taking your phone out of its case, you need a phone case that’s equipped with MagSafe support. The MagSafe symbol is a circle with a short pipe below it. You can see it on clear cases, but it’s embedded on the inside of the case so if it’s nontransparent, you’ll only see it from the inside.

If you already have a MagSafe accessory — or plan on buying MagSafe accessories in the future — you’ll want to get a MagSafe compatible case; it’s a good option to have. With that in mind, the majority of the cases in this roundup are equipped with MagSafe.

Madrid derby defeat ‘hurts,’ but result deserved – Alonso

by admin September 27, 2025

Manager Xabi Alonso said Real Madrid’s 5-2 defeat to Atlético Madrid in Saturday’s derby “hurts,” but admitted the result was deserved after “a bad game” and stressed the importance of his side’s reaction to the defeat.

A four-goal first half saw the two teams go in at the break 2-2 at the Metropolitano, after Robin Le Normand put Atlético ahead, Kylian Mbappé and Arda Güler scored, and Alexander Sørloth levelled in added time.

Julián Álvarez scored a penalty and a free kick to put the home side on top, before substitute Antoine Griezmann added a fifth late on, to condemn Alonso’s table-topping Madrid to their first defeat of the season.

“It was a bad game,” Alonso said in his postmatch news conference. “We didn’t play well collectively, with or without the ball. We weren’t at the level we need to be at.

“We know we’re in a ‘construction phase,’ we have to take conclusions from what happened and they’ll help us in the future, but there are no excuses. We were lacking a gear. This defeat hurts.”

Alonso’s side went into Saturday’s derby with six wins out of six in LaLiga, while Atlético had dropped points in four of their games, despite significant investment in the summer transfer market.

“We weren’t fluid with the ball,” Alonso said. “We weren’t able to win the ball in their half. We couldn’t impose ourselves in the duels … We won’t forget this tough defeat, it hurts us, it hurts the fans, but this is a process. Today we didn’t find the level we’d like, we have to be critical and try to improve.

“We didn’t compete enough. You need to compete more at this level, against these opponents … We feel responsible, and now we’ll see what we have to correct.

“There are tough days, that’s sport, that’s football. What’s important is how we react.”

Atlético now have 12 points from seven games, after posting back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

“Madrid are one of the best teams in the world, no doubt,” Diego Simeone said. “We knew how we could hurt them … We interpreted the game well. Our fans will be happy. They hadn’t been conceding many goals.”

Simeone praised forward Álvarez, who has scored five goals this week, after a midweek hat trick against Rayo Vallecano.

“He’s very good,” Simeone said. “He works hard, he’s committed. We have to look after him. Let’s hope he can be at the club for many years … I think the team is on the right track.”

“It’s very special,” Álvarez said. “We knew how important this was. It’s a derby and we needed the three points … Earlier in the season, we weren’t getting the results, but we were playing well. Today we were more efficient.”

SEC’s Hester Peirce Apologizes For Agency’s Past Moves, Unveils Personal NFT Plans

by admin September 27, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce has shared potential plans for her future after leaving the Commission. In doing so, the popular crypto advocate joked about launching an NFT collection of real characters, including herself, and other characters in the crypto ecosystem.

Hester Peirce’s NFT Dream

In a speech at the Coin Center, Peirce decided to respond to curious enquiries on her next plan after leaving the SEC.  Notably, the “CryptoMom” and present head of the Commission’s Crypto Task Force has since completed her tenure as an SEC Commissioner and only remains in service pending the appointment of her replacement.

Speaking to her plans post-SEC, Hester Peirce referenced her long-standing passion for beekeeping, which may prove futile due to a lack of experience. She also nudged the idea of functioning as an exchange simply by “wearing a T-shirt,” which was an intended jab at the previous SEC’s practice under Gary Gensler, which attempted to “contort the law” by forcing crypto exchanges to register under the Securities Act with the Commission.

Finally, the SEC Commissioner speaks to a Plan C known as Plan NFT. She began by first noting the regulatory progress on this class of digital assets, saying:

Several years ago, the SEC managed to squelch NFTs with some strategic guidance in the form, of course, of an enforcement action: Digital cats, at least stoned ones, and other NFTs were securities. A more sober view of the securities laws now prevails. Chairman Atkins has recently acknowledged that most digital assets are not securities.

In Hester Peirce’s proposed “NFT collection”, the first token is designed after her and named “CryptoMom.” In total, the Crypto Task Force boss speaks about 18 NFT characters, all based on various personalities she has encountered during her time in exploring the cryptocurrency industry.

Peirce Apologizes To The Crypto Community

In rounding off a rather light-hearted speech, Commissioner Hester Peirce gave a rather heartfelt apology for the rather harsh approach of the immediate SEC tenure to the digital asset space.

The “CryptoMom” also urged present crypto founders, developers, and users to capitalize on the ongoing efforts of regulatory clarity to showcase the best prospects of this technology.

Her statement read:

I am sorry that over most of my tenure at the SEC I failed to convince my colleagues in government to give you a chance. I hope that you and others whom you have inspired will use this time—a time in which regulatory clarity has replaced ambiguity as government’s objective—to build good things that will enhance the safety, security, happiness, and prosperity of your family, friends, neighbors, and nation. Show the skeptics that technologies that enable us to engage permissionlessly and privately with our peers are worth preserving and celebrating.

At press time, the total crypto market cap remains valued at $3.78 trillion after a 0.53% gain in the past day.

An App Used to Dox Charlie Kirk Critics Doxed Its Own Users Instead

by admin September 27, 2025

New research released this week shows that over the past few years the US Department of Homeland Security has collected DNA data of nearly 2,000 US citizens. The activity raises questions about legality and oversight given that DHS has been putting the information into an FBI crime database. Some of the genetic data is from US citizens as young as 14.

The US Secret Service said on Tuesday that it had discovered facilities across the “New York tristate area” running so-called SIM servers—devices that manage and coordinate 100,000 SIM cards at a time for illicit operations. The Secret Service warned, though, that in addition to being used by cybercriminals for scamming, the apparatuses could also be used to launch critical infrastructure attacks that could disrupt mobile networks.

A cyberattack on the UK-based automaker Jaguar Land Rover has been causing a supply chain meltdown, halting vehicle production, costing JLR tens of millions of dollars, and forcing its parts suppliers to lay off workers. The beleaguered company will have to shoulder the full cost of the attack because of inadequate insurance coverage, prompting talks of possible UK government assistance.

If you’re worried about phone searches while traveling or doing specific activities, the password manager known as 1Password has a Travel Mode feature that can help you manage sensitive data and temporarily remove it from your device. We’ve got advice on how to use the tool most effectively.

And there’s more. Each week, we round up the security and privacy news we didn’t cover in depth ourselves. Click the headlines to read the full stories. And stay safe out there.

An app used to out those who spoke ill of the murdered right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was found to be leaking its users’ personal information, doxing the very people it had invited to dox its targets.

The app Cancel the Hate, founded in the wake of Kirk’s September 10 assassination, suspended its services this week after it was revealed that security flaws in the website where the app was hosted exposed users’ email addresses and phone numbers. That site had asked its users to collect and share employment and other personal information of critics of Kirk and others “supporting political violence.” But a security researcher who identified themselves only as BobDaHacker demonstrated to news outlet Straight Arrow News that privacy settings on the site didn’t work as advertised, publicly leaking users’ information even when it was set to private. The hacker also reportedly had the ability to delete users’ accounts at will.

Cancel the Hate, which displayed a photo of Kirk on its homepage and was founded by a Kirk supporter who cited his death as the motivation for creating the site, has since taken down its reporting features. It now displays a message on its homepage that it’s moving to a “new service provider.” The page that allows visitors to buy a $23 T-shirt remains online.

Ransomware groups continued to plumb the depths of abject immorality this week with a new tactic: extorting preschools by stealing toddlers’ personal information and threatening their parents. The BBC reports that a hacker group says it has stolen the names, addresses, and photos of around 8,000 children from the preschool chain Kido, which has sites largely around London but also in the US and India. The hackers are threatening to leak the data if a ransom isn’t paid, going so far as to contact some of the children’s parents to reinforce their threat. The group has also posted sample information and photos of 10 children on their dark-web site.

In August, The Guardian, Israeli-Palestinian publication +972 Magazine, and Hebrew-language publication Local Call revealed how Israeli signals intelligence agency Unit 8200 had built a comprehensive surveillance system to intercept and store Palestinian phone calls. More than “a million calls an hour” could be collected by the system, which reportedly amassed around 8,000 terabytes of call data and stored it in Microsoft’s Azure cloud service in the Netherlands, the publications reported.

This week, following an external investigation commissioned by Microsoft, the company pulled some of the Israeli military’s access to its technology. In a statement, Microsoft president Brad Smith said the firm has taken the decision to “cease and disable” some “specific cloud storage and AI services and technologies” that it was providing to Israeli forces. Microsoft’s action—its investigation is still ongoing—follows a wave of staff protests at its ties to Israel and its ongoing war in Gaza. “We do not provide technology to facilitate mass surveillance of civilians. We have applied this principle in every country around the world, and we have insisted on it repeatedly for more than two decades,” Smith wrote in a statement.

What Is Hyperliquid? The Decentralized Exchange With Its Own Blockchain

by admin September 27, 2025

Decentralized perpetual futures exchange Hyperliquid has gone from being a market maker to one of the biggest crypto projects in the world.

Hyperliquid has processed trillions of dollars in volume in its lifespan and is now the third-largest decentralized exchange in crypto—trailing only industry veterans PancakeSwap and Uniswap.

It has been the talk of the town in 2025, but what exactly is Hyperliquid? Why do people care so much about it? And how did it grow to be one of the biggest projects in crypto?

What is Hyperliquid?

Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange specializing in perpetual futures trading, built atop its own dedicated layer-1 network.

Its native token HYPE has been a roaring success, rising to become a top 20 cryptocurrency by market capitalization less than a year after launching.

Why do people care about Hyperliquid?

Put simply, Hyperliquid makes it easier for traders to speculate on the price fluctuations of cryptocurrencies, thanks to low fees, a large amount of available assets—and, of course, degenerate levels of leverage.

Fees on Hyperliquid range from 0.07% for low-volume taker spot trades, all the way down to 0% for high-volume perp maker fees, per the Hyperliquid docs. Taker traders are when liquidity is removed from the market, while makers add liquidity to the market. For comparison, Uniswap applies a 0.3% fee on trades.

Much like a centralized exchange, users can place trades on most of the major coins regardless of what chain they are on. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, TRUMP—all tradable in one place. Hyperliquid allows traders to use leverage of up to 40x. For comparison, the maximum leverage that Binance offers is 20x, and you have to meet certain requirements to access this tier.

As a result, it has become a battleground for degenerate wars between whales and the crypto community.

Notably, in March 2025, a whale opened a 40x leveraged short position worth $521 million against Bitcoin, which led to everyday traders teaming up in an attempt to liquidate the whale. Spectators were able to watch every movement on the Hyperliquid block explorer, which openly shows a wallet’s held positions, whether it’s in profit, and its liquidation price. The whale won in this instance, dumping the position for a $3.9 million profit.

All of these factors combined have led to Hyperliquid attracting over 700,000 total users since its 2023 launch and amassing a total volume of $2.7 trillion, according to its statistics dashboard.

Hyperliquid’s origin story

Hyperliquid was entirely self-funded and was built by a team of just 11 people, founder Jeff Yan told WuBlockchain in August 2025. He said the project rejected venture capital funding because it gives a fake sense of progression; instead, the team wanted to focus on “real progress” by giving value to users—not investors.

In 2020, Yan started to trade crypto and founded a market-making company, the earliest form of Hyperliquid. Two years later, he told the When Shift Happens podcast, its high-frequency market-making offering had effectively “capped out,” as he looked to grow the project.

That’s when Sam Bankman-Fried’s centralized exchange FTX imploded by using customer funds to cover losses at his trading firm Alameda Research. When a critical mass of users sought to withdraw their funds, their money wasn’t there, and the exchange was caught with its pants down. Bankman-Fried was found guilty on seven counts of fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy, resulting in a 25-year prison sentence.

“All of a sudden, people had a real reason not to trust centralized exchanges—and it wasn’t just mumbo jumbo intellectual stuff, they literally lost all this money, and it was because of centralized exchanges,” Yan told the podcast, calling it a “light bulb moment” indicating that the world was ready for decentralized finance.

The collapse of FTX, Yan said, was the catalyst that made Hyperliquid “go all in” on building a decentralized exchange.

In February 2023, Hyperliquid’s mainnet closed alpha went live. In its first five months, it claimed to have attracted 4,000 users, with 28 different assets available to trade. It hit full mainnet in August of that same year.

Hyperliquid experienced explosive growth following its $1.6 billion airdrop in November 2024—one of the biggest crypto airdrops of all time. Armed with goodwill among traders, Hyperliquid became the talk of the town going into 2025.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the platform. In December 2024, Hyperliquid attracted unwanted attention from North Korean hackers snooping for vulnerabilities. A few months later, it faced a liquidation crisis and was forced to delist a Solana meme coin when a trader made a bet so bad that the Hyperliquid Foundation would’ve been forced to cover some losses.

The incident raised concerns around how the exchange handled heavily leveraged positions—with Gracy Chen, CEO of centralized exchange Bitget, claiming it could become “FTX 2.0.”

The future of Hyperliquid

Hyperliquid has proven to be relatively drama-free since these early growing pains, and has quickly established itself as a player in the crypto space.

As of this writing, according to DefiLlama, it has the eighth largest DeFi total value locked of any layer-1 network—ahead of chains like Aptos, Avalanche, and Linea. It also processes the third-highest monthly trading volume of any decentralized exchange, per DefiLlama.

With stablecoins becoming one of the dominant narratives in 2025, the question of whether Hyperliquid would issue its own stablecoin has inevitably been the subject of intense speculation.

Hyperliquid founder Yan said in the WuBlockchain interview that the Hyperliquid Foundation, the entity that supports the development of the Hyperliquid blockchain and its ecosystem, wouldn’t issue its own stablecoin.

However, in September 2025, the foundation opened submissions for teams to issue a “Hyperliquid-aligned” stablecoin, USDH. It attracted proposals from big-name players like Ethena, Paxos, and Sky, but ultimately went to a newly formed company in Native Markets. With USDH now live and trading, Hyperliquid now has a stablecoin that has dedicated half of its revenues to a protocol-driven buy back scheme.

Now, Hyperliquid faces direct competition from the emerging Aster decentralized exchange, which is offering higher levels of leverage and has the backing of Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao.

At the time of publication, Hyperliquid is ahead in terms of token valuation and trading volume—but how long will that last?

China Eyes Role as Custodian of Central Bank Gold Reserves Amid Bullion’s Record Run

by admin September 27, 2025

China is reportedly making a bid to expand its influence in global gold markets by offering to hold foreign central bank reserves within its borders.

According to Bloomberg, the People’s Bank of China has used the Shanghai Gold Exchange in recent months to pitch central banks in friendly countries on the idea. At least one Southeast Asian country has shown interest, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

The push would allow Beijing to strengthen its role as a bullion hub and reduce reliance on Western financial centers. Custodian services are a key part of that infrastructure, helping to attract more trading activity and enhance credibility.

Gold analyst Jan Nieuwenhuijs noted on X that foreign central banks have technically been able to store gold in Shanghai since 2014, but uptake has been minimal so far. He added that one Southeast Asian country, possibly tied to the mBridge cross-border payments project, could be evaluating the option.

The timing comes as central bank demand has underpinned a powerful rally in bullion.

Spot gold climbed as high as $3,784.74 an ounce in New York on Monday, setting another record before easing slightly. According to MarketWatch, the metal closed last week at $3,789.80, up 43.59% year-to-date — well ahead of bitcoin’s 17% gain, the S&P 500’s 12.96% rise and the Nasdaq Composite’s 16.43% increase.

Kitco News reported that despite overbought conditions, analysts expect gold’s bullish momentum to continue, citing inflation trends and growing demand for alternatives to U.S. Treasurys. Chris Mancini, co-portfolio manager at Gabelli Funds, said investors are increasingly turning to gold as a substitute for the dollar.

Still, China faces competition from established markets such as London, whose vaults hold more than 5,000 tons of global reserves. The World Gold Council ranks China fifth among central bank gold holders, but its domestic market for jewelry, bars and coins remains the world’s largest.

The Best Body Pillow, Tested and Reviewed (2025)

by admin September 27, 2025

Compare Our Picks

Photograph: Molly Higgins

Others Tested

Pillow Cube Side Cube for $66: This isn’t technically a body pillow, but it’s specifically designed for side sleepers (and I love it), so it’s included in this list. This cuboid pillow is designed for the side sleeper, and aims to help with headaches and back and shoulder pains through its unique shape and soft, yet structured, filling. It has a breathable, soft-and-stretchy quilted side case that’s removable with a zipper, and the AeroPluff foam core is comfy, regulating temperature to keep you sleeping coolly. I can sleep only on my side, and one of the problems I regularly have is a sore neck from the gap between my shoulder and my head. This square, 90-degree-angled pillow perfectly fills that gap and sits at a manageable head pillow size of 24 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. The breathable cover and soft density even helped with ear pressure.

Leacho Snoogle for $50: Though out of stock at the moment, this versatile body pillow is marketed for pregnant people because of its versatility and belly, hip, and knee support. Due to its unique shape, it can be contorted into many figures. With a removable cover made of a polyester/cotton blend and a polyester filling, this pillow is a lot more breathable than similar large body pillows on the list. Because of its unique shape for many positions, the pillow isn’t overstuffed, and I found that the fill tended to sink to the lower foot portion of the pillow when sleeping on it. Overall, this pillow is breathable and extremely customizable in shape, although I would’ve preferred something with a little more filling.

White Noise Memory Foam Body Pillow With Hypoallergenic Zippered Protector for $50: I absolutely love the fill of this 50 x 14-inch pillow—the shredded foam is the perfect mix of structure and softness. If it were wider, 20 or so inches rather than 14 inches, this pillow would be perfect. But because I’m a side-only sleeper, I like to hold the body pillow and wrap my arms and legs around it. Since it is so narrow, my knees knock together on the other side. I may be able to overlook the flaw of its narrowness because the pillow has a super-comfy fill, but I wouldn’t recommend it for bigger people with longer limbs.

Eli & Elm Memory Foam Body Pillow for $130: In my home, we call this one “the 7 pillow” because … well, take a guess. This long, L/7-shaped pillow is marketed as a pregnancy pillow, but it’s great for anyone who sleeps on their side. The short section fits neatly under your head, while the long end can reach down to fit between your legs. It comes with its own custom pillow case, which is great, because it’s not like you’ll have a ton of spares in this shape in your linen closet. —Eric Ravenscraft

Eli & Elm Side Sleeper for $116: The Eli & Elm Side Sleeper pillow is one of the firmest pillows right out of the box of any we’ve tested. You can remove some of the excess fill if you want to reduce that firmness, but if you’re the type of person who likes feeling like they’re sleeping on a very soft rock, this is the pillow for you. It’s not quite big enough for multiple people to cuddle up with, like our Honeydew pick, but for a single person, it’s a great option. —Eric Ravenscraft

Bearaby Cuddler for $229: Bearaby is best known for its weighted blankets, eye masks, and stuffed animals, but it makes other sleep products like heated pads, throw blankets, and the body pillow I tested, the Cuddler. At 75 inches long and 8 inches in diameter, with a filling of plant-based Melofoam, an all-natural foam made from rubber-tree sap, it’s unlike any other pillow fill I’ve slept on. It’s heavier than a stuffed pillow but lighter than memory foam and has a rubbery, bouncy quality. Its springy fill, skinny body, and extraordinary length made it fit awkwardly on the bed, but its bouncy quality and ability to conform into many shapes may make this an attractive pick for some side sleepers.

Not Recommended

Photograph: Molly Higgins

Alwyn Home Butcher Fiber Plush Pillow for $56: This 90 x 19-inch pillow disappoints. It’s egregiously long, which could be helpful for people who are taller or those who like more all-around body support. However, it just doesn’t have enough stuffing to fill 90 inches. The batting inside feels like typical fluffy batting found in homemade pillows, but it bunches throughout the pillow in clumps, leaving gaps where no filling reaches. These gaps often happen where your limbs rest, thus defeating the purpose of having a body pillow for support. The pillow is only about 2 inches deep and didn’t seem to ever spring up after I took it out of the box. I had to shake and knead the fiber to help make it more uniform throughout the inside of the pillow, but it did little to help.

AccordionItemContainerButton

As a side sleeper, you’ll want a pillow that’s long enough to provide support between your arms and pressure points like between the knees. While firmness and softness are a matter of personal preference, you often want a body pillow that strikes the right balance, to provide support without being too heavy or firm for the limbs that rest underneath the pillow. If you’re just looking for a pillow to hug while you sleep, something lighter and softer is best. But if you have joint or spinal pain, something a bit more firm with more support is best. You’ll also want to think about which pillow shape will support which part of your body best, depending on your needs. I’m a strict side sleeper, but I toss and turn between both sides, so pillows with support on either side were tested too. I also tend to curl into a more fetal position, so I wanted something that had enough width to fully wrap my legs and arms around.

While many head pillows and mattresses favor memory foam, depending on the foam’s denseness, it can feel too heavy for a side sleeper whose limbs go underneath the pillow. Polyester or other synthetic filling is often the most plush and malleable but may not provide enough support. Many have a mixture of both or shredded memory foam, which can provide structure while still being soft enough to sink into. This depends on personal preference and need, but fill type is something to be aware of when looking for the perfect side-sleeper body pillow.

A standard body pillow that’s long enough to provide full-length support for the body is ideal, giving enough room to stretch out or cuddle in various positions. Body pillows in U or C shapes can provide more overall support and are ideal for pregnant people or those with back or leg issues, but can often make the sleeper run hot because of all of the surrounding material. But ultimately, the preferred shape is largely dependent on what parts of the body you want most supported in the side-sleeping position.

AccordionItemContainerButton

I tested (slept with) each of the pillows for at least a week while sleeping, lounging, and sitting to see how the fill changed and moved over time. I contorted them in many shapes, and measured how supported I felt in different positions. I removed and added fill if I was able, and removed and washed covers to see how they were affected by cleaning and tested the differences with or without a cover.

What Will the Slowing Growth of Bitcoin, Ethereum Treasury Buys Mean for Markets?

by admin September 27, 2025

In brief

  • Purchases at Bitcoin and other treasury companies have slowed dramatically over the past two months.
  • The declines played a big role in declining markets that were already jittery about macroeconomic uncertainties.
  • Three market observers say that the waning treasury activity could continue to weigh on markets.

The rise in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other corporate crypto treasuries helped fuel the summer’s massive market gains. Now their slowing growth has played a large role in sapping prices already sensitive to inflation and other macroeconomic uncertainties.

The treasuries’ waning activity could continue to weigh on markets with volatility likely to remain heightened in the near-term, three market observers told Decrypt.

“When treasuries stop buying, it removes an important demand floor and undermines confidence in the balance-sheet-as-strategy narrative,” Joe DiPasquale, CEO of crypto fund manager BitBull Capital, wrote in a text to Decrypt. “At the same time, forced liquidations in derivatives and broader risk-off sentiment have accelerated the decline, creating a feedback loop that pressures both crypto assets and the equities tied to them.”

Bitcoin was recently trading at about $109,400, off more than 5% over the past week, according to crypto markets data provider CoinGecko. At one point Friday, the largest cryptocurrency by market value dropped below $109,000 for the first time since September 1. Ethereum and other major altcoins have also fallen deeply into negative territory.

Those latest declines have come as Bitcoin treasury buys have plummeted to just 12,600 BTC in August, and 15,500 so far this month—a combined total that is less than half the amount that firms acquired in July, according to data analytics provider CryptoQuant.

“We’ve seen treasury accumulations cool off compared to the summer, when companies were buying at a record pace,” Michael McCluskey, CEO of Sologenic—which offers a decentralized exchange and related services—told Decrypt. “That slowdown has coincided with softer prices in Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies, which makes sense given how much corporate demand was propping up the market.”

McCluskey added: “In the short term, the absence of steady buying leaves the market more exposed to volatility.”

A number of treasury firms’ share prices have plunged along the way, with Solana treasury Helius Medical Technologies falling 38% over the past week and Ethereum-focused BitMine Immersion sinking more than 13% over the same period.

Bitcoin-minded Strategy—the originator of the pivot-to-crypto accumulation move—and Metaplanet each fell about 9%, the latter coming despite the Japan-based firm’s latest purchase of more than 5,400 BTC on Monday and a favorable analyst rating a day later. Helius and several other companies that raised money through private placement in public equity (PIPE) deals are changing hands well off their issue prices.

Going forward, some treasuries may encounter additional challenges, with The Wall Street Journal reporting on Thursday that financial regulators are now exploring unusually high trading volumes and dramatic share price increases among among them.

Still, in a text to Decrypt, Gerry O’Shea—head of global market insights at crypto asset manager Hashdex—wrote that Bitcoin could hit $140,000 or higher by year’s end, with corporate treasuries helping to spark a rally.

“Corporate treasury adoption will remain a big part of this demand, even as many of these publicly traded companies face near-term headwinds from volatility and scrutiny from investors regarding their specific strategies,” he wrote.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will finally be getting its online Fox Hunt mode next month

by admin September 27, 2025

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will finally be getting Fox Hunt – it’s online PvP mode – on the 30th October.

This mode, absent from the launch version of the game, will be available to owners of the game across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This online mode is a competitive “hide-and-seek” style PvP mode where players have to find and take each other out using any tools they can find.

Up to 12-players can take part in a match at any one time, though according to the official Konami press release crossplay is still not supported.

Here’s the launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake EaterWatch on YouTube

There are two available game modes: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude. The first is a capture the flag style mode where players must secure a dwindling number of cute green Kerotan, and the latter a battle royale style mode where players must battle over a shrinking play area.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has proven popular, selling over a million copies on its launch day earlier this month. Since its launch the game has received a variety of patches to improve stability and performance, some good news for those who were waiting to give it a try.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is itself a fantastic recreation of the original game. In Eurogamer’s review it’s described as “an achievement for the development team behind Delta too, some of whom were original staff from the Metal Gear Solid 3 team. The legend of Metal Gear Solid 3 has been brought back to life thanks to their efforts, and the experience of playing it has put me in a position I could not have foreseen just a few years ago.”
