157% Liquidation Imbalance Hits Dogecoin in 24 Hours Amid Price Reset

by admin May 24, 2025

In the last 24 hours, meme coin king Dogecoin (DOGE) has suffered volatility, leading to huge liquidation imbalance. This caused traders betting on the continued price growth of the asset to suffer massive losses.

Longs take fall as Dogecoin retraces gains

According to CoinGlass data, the price shift within this time frame wiped out $15.83 million worth of DOGE. Notably, long sellers suffered a higher loss as $13.72 million in investments were forfeited in the liquidation imbalance.

This set-up disadvantaged long position traders by about six times compared to short sellers, who registered a loss of $2.11 million.

DOGE, which traded at $0.2312 with potential for more upward movement that mirrored Bitcoin’s trajectory, suddenly plunged to a low of $0.2238. This shocking development upset the projections made by long position traders.

As of this writing, DOGE price was changing hands at $0.2283, representing a 1.80% decline in the last 24 hours. However, this suggests that the meme coin is recovering from the $0.2238 level it slipped to in earlier trading.

Despite this potential, sellers remained aggressive and continued to dump to avoid further losses. Trading volume has plunged by a massive 38.45% to $1.99 billion within the period.

DOGE’s attempt to reclaim $0.23 has faced resistance, and investors might have to wait longer to see a sustainable recovery.

Can DOGE rebound before May ends?

Interestingly, Bitcoin (BTC) recorded a similar liquidation imbalance. Long-position traders lost $115.57 million, while short traders lost $37.90 million. This leaves Bitcoin’s total liquidation at $153.47 million.

It signals that Dogecoin not only matched Bitcoin in growth, but it also mirrored its liquidation trend.

With the widespread liquidation in the crypto space, the meme coin is hard-pressed to repeat history. With just seven days left for May to end, market watchers remain keen to see if Dogecoin has what it takes to profit for investors.

Bullish Call Issued by Shiba Inu Team on SHIB’s ‘Comebacks Out of Thin Air’

by admin May 24, 2025

  • SHIB’s “comebacks out of thin air”
  • Lucie’s big Shibarium statement

The pseudonymous Shiba Inu marketing lead Lucie took to social media, addressing the SHIB army about the current volatility wave observed on the cryptocurrency market. This volatility has caused a bloodbath, pushing Bitcoin 4% down.

SHIB’s “comebacks out of thin air”

After the 9.15% increase reached by the crypto market leader, Bitcoin, over the past week, resulting in a new price all-time high close to $112,000, BTC went down by 3.68% today. That was followed by a 1.57% surge and Bitcoin currently trading at $108,911. These volatility jumps demonstrated by Bitcoin have been pushing the whole market up and down.

The SHIB price crashed by 8.65% during the past 24 hours, falling from $0.00001586 and currently changing hands at $0.00001450.

The Bitcoin price plunge was caused by traders beginning to close their positions as they are now looking for broader bullish signs similar to the trade tariffs break achieved between the U.S. and China recently.

Lucie said in her tweet that many traders and investors are panicking “over tariffs and charts,” alleging that Shiba Inu is resilient enough to see its price breaking out regardless of these market drivers: “SHIB’s the underdog that pulls comebacks out of thin air.”

In a separate X post, Lucie talked about the Layer-2 network Shibarium and the impact it had on the vast community of SHIB users and builders. She stressed that Shibarium gave creators tools to build with, and this resulted in the emergence of numerous games, tools and “platforms with quiet focus and real impact.”

She said that Shibarium has done a lot more to the SHIB ecosystem than just scaled it: “It helped shape a stronger, wiser community” and “it empowered real builders.” Lucie also pointed out that there was a category of developers that took a dark route: “launch fast, extract liquidity, then start fudding” against Shibarium.

Several times in her post, Lucie stressed the importance of having a loyal community and of working hard, not just for quick profits but also for long-term impact in the crypto space.

TeamGroup T-Create Expert P35S Destroyed Portable SSD
Gaming Gear

This tiny SSD lets you delete your data forever with one click, but can you trust yourself not to misuse it?

by admin May 24, 2025

  • TeamGroup P35S SSD can wipe your data permanently and irreversibly with a few clicks
  • Designed for spies, journalists, and execs, this SSD values secrecy over raw performance numbers
  • Accidental erasure is a real concern with hardware that erases data in two simple motions

In a tech landscape where external drives often blur into a sea of similar features and designs, TeamGroup’s new portable SSD takes a sharp detour into espionage territory.

The T-Create Expert P35S Destroyed Portable SSD introduces something previously unheard of in the mainstream consumer market: a one-click data destruction mechanism.

While the concept may sound like something pulled straight from a spy thriller, TeamGroup says the device is intended for professionals who handle sensitive or classified information.

A self-destruct SSD that promises true data erasure

This external SSD stands out thanks to its patented “physical chip destruction circuit.”

Unlike standard data wipes, this feature claims to electrically destroy the data stored on the drive, making it completely irretrievable.

Triggered by a two-step process TeamGroup calls an “anti-mistouch” system, users must both click and slide to activate the wipe.

It’s not exactly a big red button, but the dramatic undertone is part of the appeal.

Sign up to the TechRadar Pro newsletter to get all the top news, opinion, features and guidance your business needs to succeed!

The P35S, which weighs just 42 grams and measures 90 x 40 x 18 mm, offers 1,000MB/s transfer speeds via a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

This led to the bold “transfer 10GB in just 10 seconds – ready for anything” slogan on TeamGroup’s display at Computex 2025.

While it won’t top charts for the best SSD in terms of performance alone, it offers enough throughput for on-the-go file handling.

What’s most notable is the P35S’s target audience. TeamGroup references users such as journalists, corporate executives, and government officials, people who might need to dispose of confidential data instantly.

“Designed for end-users who carry highly confidential documents, the SSD prevents data breaches and ensures that personal and confidential information remains protected under all circumstances,” the company says.

There’s even a nod toward “defense use,” which, depending on your level of cynicism, could either suggest genuine intent or feel like a PR stretch, especially in light of recent high-profile data mishandling cases.

The SSD’s compact size and data wipe feature make it easy to picture in the hands of an undercover agent or whistleblower.

But in practical terms, it may also raise concerns about accidental erasure, especially for users prone to fidgeting. That’s one reason I’d love to test this device myself.

This isn’t likely to be a top choice for gamers or media creators, but for users who prioritize security over speed, it may offer real value.

AMD's New RX 9060 XT Graphics Card Will Launch In 8GB And 16GB VRAM Versions

AMD’s New RX 9060 XT Graphics Card Will Launch In 8GB And 16GB VRAM Versions

by admin May 24, 2025

AMD announced its latest graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 X, at Computex 2025 earlier this week. This is the third GPU in AMD’s 9000 series lineup that also includes the RX 9070 and 9070 XT, and its slated to launch June 5. While it’s positioned as the entry-level option in the RX 9000 series, the RX 9060 XT runs on the same RNDA 4 architecture as the more powerful RX 9070 and 9070 XT and includes FSR 4 resolution upscaling and frame generation, as well as DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b support.

AMD is producing two versions of the RX 9060 XT: one with 8GB VRAM and another with 16GB VRAM. Both models will feature 32 RDNA 4 CUs (computation units), up to 3.13GHz clock speed, and between 150W and 182W power draw, depending on the model’s VRAM and clock speed. While those are solid specs for an entry-level card, things get a bit more confusing from there.

Power and pricing

AMD lists the MSRP as $300 for the 8GB model and $350 for the 16GB model. However, the company is not releasing RX 9060 XT reference cards itself. Instead, third-party manufacturers like Asus, Acer, Gigabyte, and others are launching their own versions of the RX 9060 XT starting June 5. As such, performance, power draw, and pricing will likely differ between the various RX 9060 XT models (especially for overclocked models), but at least some of these GPUs will stick to the reference clock speeds and therefore MSRP (assuming the ongoing tariffs do not impact those prices).

Asus is launching three RX 9060 XT models

As for performance, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is positioned as the replacement for AMD’s RX 7600 XT as its flagship entry-level GPU, making it the primary competitor to Nvidia’s $300 GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti (which costs either $380 for the 8GB version or $429 for the 16GB version). According to AMD’s Computex 2025 presentation, the company’s internal testing found the RX 9060 XT is roughly six percent faster than the RTX 5060 Ti on 40 games running at 1440p–and at roughly $80 MSRP cheaper. However, those tests compare the RX 9060 XT 16GB to the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, rather than the RTX 5060 16GB. The RX 9060 8GB model’s performance is a bigger question, as the smaller amount of VRAM could lead to significant performance dips.

On X (formerly Twitter), AMD’s Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and Gaming Marketing, Frank Azor, explained that most players use a 1080p display, for which 8GB of VRAM is more than enough. While technically true, it doesn’t alleviate the concerns over confusing consumers who may see the above comparisons of the RX 9060 XT 16GB’s 6% performance boost over the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and assume that applies to all RX 9060 XT models. And again, the actual performance will likely differ between the various SKUs launching June 5, which could further compound the issue.

Majority of gamers are still playing at 1080p and have no use for more than 8GB of memory. Most played games WW are mostly esports games. We wouldn’t build it if there wasn’t a market for it. If 8GB isn’t right for you then there’s 16GB. Same GPU, no compromise, just memory…

— Frank Azor (@AzorFrank) May 22, 2025

Where to find the AMD RX 9060 XT

Those potential concerns and unanswered questions aside, the RX 9060 XT nevertheless looks like a solid entry-level choice for those already invested in AMD’s hardware. As mentioned above, multiple manufacturers are releasing RX 9060 XT GPUs starting June 5, and while none are currently listed for preorder, you can learn more about the models announced from Asus, Acer, and Gigabyte, at each company’s online store. Other brands like PowerColor also showed off upcoming RX 9060 XT GPUs on the Computex 2025 show floor. We’ll be sure to update this post once the GPUs are available.

4 graphics cards you should consider instead of the RTX 5060

by admin May 24, 2025

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 is finally here, and many people hoped it’d put up a fight against some of the best graphics cards. Does it really, though? Reviewers are split on the matter. Alas, I’m not here to judge the card. I’m here to show you some alternatives.

While Nvidia’s xx60 cards typically become some of the most popular GPUs of any given generation, they’re not the only option you have right now. The RTX 5060 might not even be the best option at that price point. Below, I’ll walk you through four GPUs that I think you should buy instead of the RTX 5060.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060

Jacob Roach / Digital Trends

I’m not sure whether this will come as a surprise or not, but based on current pricing and benchmarks, the GPU I recommend buying instead of the RTX 5060 is its last-gen equivalent.

The RTX 4060 is one of the last RTX 40-series graphics cards that are still readily available around MSRP. I found one for $329 at Newegg, and it’s an overclocked model, meaning slightly faster performance than the base version. However, you might as well just buy a used RTX 4060 if you find it from a trustworthy source, as that’ll cost you a whole lot less.

The RTX 5060 and the RTX 4060 have a lot in common. Spec-wise, they’re not at all far apart, although Nvidia’s newer Blackwell architecture and the switch to GDDR7 VRAM give the newer GPU a bit more oomph. But, unfortunately, both cards share the same 8GB RAM — an increasingly small amount in today’s gaming world — and the same narrow 128-bit bus.

Some reviewers note that the RTX 5060 isn’t far ahead of the RTX 4060 in raw performance. The newer card gets the full benefit of Nvidia’s Multi-Frame Generation, though. Overall, they’re pretty comparable, but if you can score a used RTX 4060 for cheap, I’d go for it.

AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT (or the RX 9060 XT)

Jacob Roach / Digital Trends

I wasn’t a big fan of the RX 7600 XT 16GB upon launch, and I still have some beef with that card. Much like Nvidia’s options, AMD equipped its mainstream GPU with a really narrow memory interface, stifling the bandwidth and holding back its performance. Still, in the current climate, I’ll take that 16GB with the 128-bit bus over a card that has the same interface and only sports 8GB VRAM.

The cheapest RX 7600 XT 16GB costs around $360, and you can find it on the shelves with ease. But it’s the same scenario here — if you can find it used from a trustworthy source, it might be worth it, assuming you’re on a tight budget. The state of the GPU market as of late has made me appreciate second-hand GPUs a lot more.

The RX 7600 XT is slower than the RTX 5060, and it’ll fall behind in ray tracing, but it gives you plenty of RAM where Nvidia’s card offers very little. That alone makes it worthy of your consideration.

AMD’s upcoming RX 9060 XT could be a great option here, too. I expect it to offer better ray tracing capabilities than the RX 7600 XT, and it’ll have the same $300 price tag as Nvidia’s RTX 5060.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB

Gigabyte

If your budget is a little bit flexible, you could go one level up and get the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the cheapest options are at around $479 right now, which is well over the MSRP and a whopping $180 more than the RTX 5060. However, for that price, you’ll get yourself a GPU that’s better suited to stand the test of time.

With 16GB of video memory and the full benefit of GDDR7 RAM, the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB offers an upgrade over the last-gen version. It’s not perfect by any stretch, though. Reviewers put the GPU below the RX 9070 non-XT, the RTX 5070, and even the RTX 4070 when you consider pure rasterization. This means no so-called “fake frames,” which is what Nvidia’s DLSS 4 delivers.

That leaves the RTX 5060 Ti in an odd spot. Basically, if your budget can stretch to it, the RX 9070 and the RTX 5070 are both better cards; they’re also a lot more expensive.

Intel Arc B580

Jacob Roach / Digital Trends

Less demanding gamers might find an option in Intel’s Arc B580. Upon launch, the GPU surprised pretty much everyone with its excellent performance-per-dollar ratio. The downside? That ratio is now a lot less impressive, because unexpected demand and low stock levels brought the price of the Arc B580 far above its $250 recommended list price (MSRP).

The Arc B580 is a little bit slower than the RTX 4060 Ti, so it’ll be slower than the RTX 5060, too. It also can’t put up a fight as far as ray tracing goes. But it’s a budget-friendly GPU and a solid alternative to the RTX 5060 if you’d rather pick up something else this time around.

My advice? Wait it out

Jacob Roach / Digital Trends

It’s not a great time to buy a GPU.

The more successful and impressive cards from this generation, such as AMD’s RX 9070 XT or Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti, keep selling above MSRP. Those that aren’t quite as exciting may stick around MSRP (which is where the RTX 5060 sits right now, mere days after launch) … but that doesn’t make up for their shortcomings.

Given the fact that reviews of the RTX 5060 are still pretty scarce, I’d wait it out for a week or two. Read some comparisons, check out the prices, and then decide. Gambling on a GPU just because the previous generations were solid doesn’t work anymore, and that’s now clearer than ever.

The Stars Align: Crypto Analyst Predicts 1,700% Rally For XRP In 2 Months

by admin May 24, 2025

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

A crypto analyst has predicted that the XRP price could increase by a staggering 1,700% over the next two months. If accurate, this explosive move could catapult the altcoin well above its current all-time high of $3.84, marking a historical moment and reigniting investor excitement amidst the volatile market.

XRP To Replay 2017 Explosive Rally To $27

Egrag Crypto, a prominent crypto analyst, has presented a striking forecast for the XRP price in an analysis on X (formerly Twitter). According to the post, the token could be on the verge of replicating one of its most legendary historical price surges, with the potential to rise by 1,700% over the next two months.

At the heart of this bullish price prediction is a comparative study of XRP’s meteoric rally in 2017, when the altcoin surged by over 1,772.13% in just 63 days beginning from October 30. Egrag Crypto has overlaid this historical surge with current market behavior, and according to the analysis, the altcoin is showing uncanny similarities to its 2017 bullish setup and could end up completely repeating this pattern.

The analyst’s chart features an expansive Fibonacci circle framework, with concentric arcs possibly representing future zones of resistance and support. Within this macro pattern, XRP is forming a triangular consolidation, just like it did in its previous ATH breakout.

Source: Egrag Crypto on X

The chart identifies July 21, 2025, as a potential cycle top for XRP, placing the altcoin within a similar 63-day window that previously preceded its rally to all-time highs. If history repeats, it could be poised for an explosive rally, targeting the $28 level—a price that extends far beyond former ATHs.

Major Fibonacci levels have also been marked on the chart. A breakout of the 1.0 Fib around $3.35 is seen as a gateway for exponential growth, with additional targets placed at $8.489 (1.272 Fib), $13.79 (1.414 Fib), and an eventual moonshot toward $27.68 based on the 1.618 extension.

Zooming In: Key Resistance And Support Levels To Watch

While the macro view of Egrag Crypto’s XRP price chart showcases a stage for a grand rally, zoomed in, the chart shows that the altcoin is currently consolidating within a Symmetrical Triangle pattern.

The chart also shows that the 21-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA), situated near the $2.3 price level, is acting as a vital support area and last line of defense for the token. The analyst has indicated that holding above this line is critical to XRP maintaining bullish momentum.

From a resistance standpoint, the analysis highlights $2.7 as the first major threshold to overcome, coinciding with the 1.414 Fib. A close above this level would be a clear breakout signal that could trigger a rally toward the $3.00 – $3.35 zone. Additionally, surpassing this region would potentially mark the start of the projected parabolic run to a cycle top in July.

Notably, XRP won’t be the only cryptocurrency potentially experiencing a bull rally during the 63-day timeframe. Egrag Crypto suggests that Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader crypto market could also enter a new phase of bullish expansion around the same period.

Indie Fallout wiki joins forces with the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, ensuring a bright future for looking up RPG lore uninterrupted by half-page video ads

by admin May 24, 2025

The Independent Fallout Wiki and the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP) have announced a new partnership joining the two endeavors. Both sites’ curation, expansiveness, and, crucially, user experiences with minimal/unobtrusive ads make them cherished resources on the internet of 2025.

“We’re now proud to be the host of the Independent Fallout Wiki,” UESP wrote on Bluesky. “We don’t want to become one of those wikifarms that tries to trap sites, so we’ve also set things up to allow for them to freely change hosts in the future if they ever wish, without us leaving a zombie site behind.”

That last bit was a fairly direct jab at Fandom, formerly known as Wikia, the hosting service behind the majority of well-trafficked pop culture wikis on the internet. Fextralife is another prominent wiki host gamers will be familiar with, with a specific focus on RPGs and Soulslikes.

You may like

There’s a long, complicated history behind the hosting of wikis, but as a reader, it’s impossible not to notice the way their user experiences have degraded in the past ten years.

Fandom wikis tend to be saddled with enough ads that they become slow to load, particularly on mobile, with autoplay videos taking up half the screen—and that’s when they load in after a delay, partially resetting the page.

Fextralife, meanwhile, has more user-friendly pages but a serious curation/manpower issue: I’ve found incorrect information, links to missing pages, and placeholder text on its wikis years after games launch. Wikis for Pillars of Eternity, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and even explosively popular games like Elden Ring and Divinity: Original Sin 2 all have frustrating gaps in information.

These detriments allowed the more well-maintained BG3.wiki to supersede Fextralife’s pre-existing Baldur’s Gate 3 wiki, which was started at the time of early access, after the game’s 1.0 launch.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Both Fextralife and Fandom tend to dominate the search engine optimization (SEO) of properties in their portfolios (Google search: [Insert Game] Wiki), making it difficult for competitors to become visible. There’s also a legitimate question of long-term maintenance.

Many wikis turned to Fandom hosting in the first place for the stability and continuity of a large organization. For more niche games and topics, a wiki farm is insurance that a site will not be entirely abandoned if interest in the subject wanes. There’s also the question of upkeep costs for hosting such large websites.

Even still, many wikis have chosen to migrate away from Fandom in recent years, a process outlined in a Medium editorial from 2023 by Wikipedia enthusiast Linden Clayton.

A previous great migration from Fandom to the hosting service Gamepedia had an awkward ending, however, when a portion of parent company Curse was bought by Fandom in 2018, bringing the schismatic wikis back into the fold. We come full-circle back to Fallout, whose Fandom wikis seem to have had a particularly long and complicated history.

UESP, meanwhile, has been independent since 1995, and has recently expanded its offerings to include podcasts, a fan Discord, and Elder Scrolls merch drops while accepting reader support through Patreon.

UESP’s retro, no-frills interface looks much as it did when I first went there around the releases of Skyrim and Oblivion, a stalwart old friend who has survived the years unchanged. The Independent Fallout Wiki looks to be in good hands.

PCG weekend editor Jody Macgregor shouted out Bulbapedia and the Team Fortress 2 Wiki as notable independents in his recent love letter to UESP, and I’d also like to praise the Baldur’s Gate 3 Wiki one more time: It really is an amazing resource. I’ll also always carry a torch for the Souls series Wikidot wikis, even though Chrome flags them as a security risk—I still haven’t gotten a virus there yet!

Bitcoin Options Open Interest Spikes to Record High as Traders Target $116K

by admin May 24, 2025

In brief

  • Open interest for Bitcoin options most recently stood at an all-time high of around $65 billion.
  • An increase in bets was driven by options on BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF.
  • The increase mirrored levels of participation seen in November.

The Bitcoin options market has spiked to an all-time high alongside the asset’s climb toward a record $112,000, Greg Magadini, director of derivatives at crypto data provider Amberdata, told Decrypt on Thursday.

Open interest for Bitcoin options most recently stood at around $65 billion, including contracts traded through venues like the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, or CME, as well as options tied to BlackRock’s spot exchange-traded fund, he said.

Based solely on traders’ positioning, options market data suggests that Bitcoin’s price will likely rally into a range between $116,000 and $120,000, Magadini said. Bitcoin’s rally currently has “wide participation,” as evidenced by $20 billion in notional open interest outstanding for BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF alone, he added.

“The options market on top of IBIT is one of the most actively traded,” Magadini said. “This shows strong adoption and enthusiasm for BTC in general.”

Excluding options on BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF, which debuted late last year, Bitcoin options open interest peaked around $46 billion in late November, according to crypto data provider CoinGlass. The metric tracks the dollar value of contracts outstanding, which give speculators the ability to bet on price movements using leverage.

According to Block Scholes, a crypto analytics firm, the Bitcoin options market remained bullish on Thursday. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, the firm said that traders still favored out-of-the-money call options, meaning that most expect Bitcoin’s price will rise further. Block Scholes noted, however, that there has been a slight increase in bearish bets.

On the crypto derivatives exchange Deribit, which Coinbase plans to acquire for $2.9 billion, traders favored call options. The exchange had $23 billion worth of call options outstanding, as opposed to $13.9 billion worth of put options, according to CoinGlass.

Bitcoin was recently changing hands at around $111,800, a 4.2% increase over the past day, according to crypto data provider CoinGecko. Over the past 30 days, its price has increased 23%. Last month, the asset’s price fell as low as $74,000.

After Rogue Trader proved so popular, Owlcat is working on another Warhammer 40k CRPG: Dark Heresy
Game Updates

After Rogue Trader proved so popular, Owlcat is working on another Warhammer 40k CRPG: Dark Heresy

by admin May 24, 2025

Owlcat Games has announced another Warhammer 40K CRPG, titled Warhammer 40,000: Dark heresy. Announced during today’s Warhammer Skulls livestream, it’s in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

This new game will take you to a particularly interesting corner of the Warhammer 40K universe, the Tyrant Star, as you and a party of various distinct characters. This includes a Catachan Guardsman (think Rambo), an Eldar, and even a Kroot. Hyjinx will, I’m sure, ensue. The game will also be fully voiced, which is a very expensive and fantastic addition to Owlcat’s arsenal of games. Night Lords are getting some love too, which is rad.
