The Enhanced Games Has A Date, A Host City and a Drug-Fuelled World Record

by admin May 21, 2025

The Enhanced Games—a kind of Olympics for athletes who are doping—today announced the date and venue for its first competition: May 21-24, 2026, at Resorts World Las Vegas.

Athletes competing in the event will be allowed to take performance-enhancing drugs like testosterone and anabolic steroids that are usually banned from elite competition, provided they are legal, prescribed by a doctor, and taken at safe levels.

The inaugural Enhanced Games will have three main sports: swimming (50m and 100m freestyle, and 50m and 100m butterfly), track (100m sprint, 110m/100m hurdles, and 60m dash), and weightlifting (snatch, clean and jerk). Rather than splitting men and women into different categories, athletes will be categorized based on their chromosomes: There will be an XX and an XY category for each event.

Gkolomeev swam the 50-meter freestyle in 20.89 seconds at a pool in North Carolina, breaking a 16-year-old record.

There will be up to $500,000 in prize money on offer for each event, with $250,000 for the winner, and a bonus of $1,000,000 for anyone who breaks the 100m sprint of the 50m freestyle world record. (Other world record breakers will get a bonus of $250,000.) At a glitzy press conference announcing the details of the first event, organizers also revealed that the Games had helped an “enhanced athlete” break two long-standing 50m freestyle world records in swimming.

Kristian Gkolomeev, a 31-year-old Greek-Bulgarian swimmer who came fifth in the 50m freestyle at the Olympic Games in Paris, started his enhancement program in early February. Toward the end of that month, at a pool in Greensboro, North Carolina, he broke César Cielo’s 50-meter freestyle world record of 20.91 seconds, which had stood for 16 years. Gkolomeev swam 0.02 seconds faster. In April, he broke Caeleb Dressel’s 2019 so-called textile world record—done without wearing a speed suit—of 21.04 seconds. He swam 0.01 seconds faster.

OKLAHOMA CITY — After winning his first scoring title and leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a league-high 68 wins, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has earned his first NBA MVP award, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania on Wednesday.

The league will officially announce the honor Wednesday night, a few nights after Gilgeous-Alexander’s Thunder defeated Nikola Jokic’s Denver Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Gilgeous-Alexander finished as the runner-up in last year’s MVP voting, when Jokic won his third MVP in four seasons.

Editor’s Picks

Jokic had arguably the best season of his career, averaging 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 10.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game, but Gilgeous-Alexander also had a historical campaign for an Oklahoma City team that broke the NBA record for point differential (plus-12.9 per game) and finished with 18 more victories than the Nuggets.

Gilgeous-Alexander led the league with 32.7 points per game on 51.9% shooting from the floor and also averaged 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks. The only other player in NBA history to average at least 30 points on 50% shooting, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1 block per game in a season is Michael Jordan, who did it in 1987-88 and 1990-91 — the seasons that he won the first two of his five MVPs.

Gilgeous-Alexander, 26, joined an exclusive club by leading the league in scoring for a team that won 60 or more games. This is the 10th instance that has been accomplished in NBA history. The only time that player did not win the MVP was in 1996-97, when Utah’s Karl Malone won the honor over Jordan.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the league this season with 32.7 points per game on 51.9% shooting and also averaged 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks. Alonzo Adams/Imagn Images

This was the third straight season that Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged at least 30 points while shooting better than 50% from the floor. The only other players who have done that three straight seasons — Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Wilt Chamberlain and Jordan — all won multiple MVPs.

Gilgeous-Alexander was also a major contributor to Oklahoma City’s top-ranked defense. He had 208 “stocks” (steals and blocks) this season, ranking third behind San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama and Atlanta’s Dyson Daniels.

Gilgeous-Alexander is the third player in franchise history to win an MVP, joining Kevin Durant (2014) and Russell Westbrook (2017).

After being named a first-team All-NBA selection the last two seasons, Gilgeous-Alexander had already qualified to be eligible to sign an unprecedented, four-year, $294 million supermax extension this summer. It would be the deal with the highest annual value ($73.3 million) in league history.

ESPN’s Bobby Marks contributed to this report.

Texas approves Bitcoin reserve bill, awaits governor’s signature

by admin May 21, 2025

Texas is on the verge of becoming the third U.S. state to establish a state-managed Bitcoin.

The Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and Investment Act, SB 21, was approved by the House of Representatives with a vote of 101-42. The bill now heads to Governor Greg Abbott’s desk for final approval.

SB 21 would authorize the state comptroller to invest in Bitcoin and, potentially, other cryptocurrencies with a market cap exceeding $500 billion over the past 12 months.

Currently, Bitcoin is the only asset that qualifies. The legislation also directs the creation of a formal Bitcoin reserve, positioning the state to diversify its financial strategy with digital assets.

The bill’s sponsor, State Senator Charles Schwertner, and House advocate Rep. Giovanni Capriglione, framed the initiative as a move to secure Texas’s leadership in digital innovation.

State’s embrace of Bitcoin

If signed, Texas will join New Hampshire and potentially Arizona in establishing a Bitcoin reserve. However, not all states have embraced the idea.

Governors in Arizona and Montana recently vetoed or blocked similar proposals, citing the volatility of cryptocurrency markets.

Texas, which boasts a $2.7 trillion economy—ranking eighth globally if it were a country—has already positioned itself as a crypto-friendly state. Governor Abbott has previously expressed strong support for digital assets and accepted Bitcoin donations for his political campaigns.

The bill’s passage comes amid renewed momentum for Bitcoin, which recently hit a record high above $109,000.

Ubisoft says it’s working on new ‘prestigious AAA’ Rayman game

by admin May 21, 2025

Ubisoft appears to be bringing Rayman back in a new AAA experience, based on job listings that call for talent to join the development team. Studio Ubisoft Milan recently posted job listings searching for a 3D gameplay animator and a senior game designer to be “involved in the production of a prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand.”

It’s unclear whether the “prestigious AAA title for the Rayman brand” description denotes a stand-alone Rayman game or a crossover title, à la Mario + Rabbids, a spinoff of the Rayman franchise. Polygon has contacted Ubisoft for comment regarding the new Rayman game, and will update when the company responds.

One job listing says that the 3D gameplay animator will be responsible for “[creating] high-quality character animation that captures nuanced emotional states and personality, develop and maintain a consistent animation style that defines the game’s visual identity, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate animations seamlessly into gameplay mechanics, and iterate on character animation systems, pushing the boundaries of technical and artistic expression.”

Meanwhile, the calling for the senior game designer requires the new hire to “pitch, design and prototype core game systems, [implement] approved designs within the editor, create and maintain design documentation, including feature specification and implementation guidelines, contribute to the handling, gameplay, and mechanics setup, including data creation, collaborate with the team to ensure the implementation of systems into actual gameplay, and maintaining the overall balance between multiple gameplay systems.”

The last proper mainline Rayman title, Rayman Legends, arrived in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, and PlayStation Vita. The game was re-released in 2017 for Nintendo Switch as Rayman Legends Definitive Edition.

Update: When reached for comment, Ubisoft provided us with this statement: “The project is still in its early stages, and we will share more details later.”

Nexar Beam2 mini Dash Cam review: a mixed bag

by admin May 21, 2025

Why you can trust TechRadar

We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

Nexar Beam2 mini Dash Cam: two-minute review

I tried the original Nexar Beam dash cam around three years ago, but I seem to recall that it did everything I wanted it to do at the time. Things have moved on since then, though, and for the Beam2 mini Nexar has tweaked the design and features in a bid to stay up there with the best dash cams.

In fact, none of the latest crop of Beam models bear much resemblance to the original incarnation. The Nexar Beam2 Mini is my pick of these products – there are also Beam2 (road only) and Beam2 road and cabin model variants, plus an optional rear view camera.

The others are chunkier, and might suit folks with space on their windshields and the willingness to spend more for a beefier array of features. The Nexar Beam2 mini is right up my street though, especially when I need to fix it to the small screen of my sports car. I’m looking for compact, which was a key part of the appeal with the first edition.

However, the Nexar Beam2 mini isn’t quite as dinky as I’d anticipated, at 6.86 x 6.49 x 3.83 inches / 17.4 x 16.5 x 9.7cm. It feels quite hefty too, weighing in at 1.74lbs / 0.8kg, but that’s no bad thing, as it helps make the package feel like a quality purchase. Perhaps some of the additional weight comes from the internal storage, as there’s no microSD media card slot available on this model.

You may like

This model features a landscape-oriented body design, with a 160-degree field of view lens that can be swiveled to get the view of the road suited to any type of vehicle. It attaches to the windshield in standard fashion, using a self-adhesive pad that sticks the base of the camera unit to the glass.

The Nexar Beam2 mini is available with 4G LTE connectivity, which means that it can deliver ‘always on’ performance including remote video live streaming. There’s 1080p resolution and internal storage of up to 256GB, though as mentioned there’s no external microSD storage. It features GPS tracking, a parking mode with real-time alerts plus 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and comes with an ODBII pass through connector cable, rather than a 12V plug for power.

Nexar offers the Beam2 mini with three different storage options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, which offer recording storage times of 30 hours, 62 hours and 130 hours respectively. The internal storage can work harmoniously with Nexar’s unlimited cloud storage option, plus there’s the option to invest in an ongoing LTE Protection Plan that boosts this model’s appeal for just $9.99 (about £8) per month.

Due to its core ‘always on’ functionality, the Nexar Beam2 mini is ideally suited to folks who want to be sure they can keep tabs on their vehicle from anywhere, and at any time. The Nexar app helps here, enabling you to check in on your vehicle, as long as connectivity is retained. There are quirks, though, such as the need for a permanent connection, which can present power implications and add extra hassle during setup.

Performance is solid enough, and the features and functions do what they’re supposed to do. Nexar has tried to make purchasing the Beam2 mini as easy as possible too, with an array of plans to suit all budgets. There are cheap and cheerful models out there though, that offer greater plug-and-play simplicity, which might make the Nexar Beam2 mini seem a little too quirky for some needs.

Nexar Beam2 Mini Dash Cam: price and availability

  • Price starts at $149.95 / £113
  • There are three storage capacity variants: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB

The Nexar Beam2 mini is available in three storage variants. The base-level edition currently costs $149.95 / £113 (down from $199.95) and features 64GB of capacity. The 128GB model is $169.95 / £128, while the range tops out in terms of storage at 256GB, which costs $199.95 / £151.

An optional LTE Protection Plan is also available, and costs $9.99 per month or $71.90 annually, which at the time of writing represents a 40% discount. The latter delivers live streaming capability, unlimited cloud storage, a 24/7 Live Parking mode, real-time GPS tracking, and real-time emergency alerts too.

Nexar Beam2 Mini Dash Cam: Design

  • Slimline letterbox design and no screen
  • ODBII connector supplied for always-on power
  • Internal storage, with 64, 128 and 256GB versions

Anyone who needs something fairly compact will find the design of the Nexar Beam2 mini one of its most appealing aspects. This is a landscape-oriented box of tricks, with very little on its exterior to either fiddle with or go wrong. The design might not work for everyone, though, firstly because there’s no rear screen, so everything has to be done via the Nexar app. Second, until you have the app installed it’s quite tricky to get the angle of the lens correct.

The lens itself is housed in the front of the unit, and can be swiveled up or down, depending on the angle of the windshield in your vehicle. The power cable port is up on top of the unit though, which means it’s easy to get this out of the way during installation. The dash cam can be fitted to the windshield in the usual way, either using an anti-static film sheet first and sticking the adhesive mount to that, or directly to the glass itself. There’s no suction-cup arrangement though, and no removable option in the mount design either. Again, not for everyone.

There’s a small blue/green indicator light that flashes during setup and stays on when the camera is doing its thing. Power to the unit comes from a supplied ODBII connector setup, which is why this model is good if an ‘always on’ setup is required. However, the Nexar Beam2 Mini Dash Cam will also work if it’s plugged in via a sufficiently high-powered USB port, which widens its appeal somewhat, especially if a user doesn’t require constant surveillance. Don’t bother looking for a card slot though, because there isn’t one. My review unit came with a 64GB internal storage drive instead.

Nexar Beam2 Mini Dash Cam: Performance

  • Fiddly setup
  • Decent image and audio quality

I have to admit that initial setup and installation wasn’t as seamless as I’d hoped for. Sure, the power cable procedure is simple enough, just as long as you know where your ODBII connector is under the dash – these can be quite tricky to find in some vehicles. The Beam2 mini can be powered by a cable running into the 12V socket if preferred, although this isn’t supplied with the package, which only contains a ODBII adapter. Hard-wiring it is also an option, but you’ll need to pay for this additional accessory.

The main problem I had was connecting and verifying the app. Downloading it was easy enough, but the country code listings for inputting my number weren’t listed alphabetically. I then twigged Nexars lists by country codes on the right-hand side of the menu. Even then, with my country code and phone number entered, I couldn’t get a verification text to come through. Curiously, right after I’d tried this, I also got a couple of spam calls, so I’m hoping this was coincidental rather than anything to do with the Nexar setup process.

As it turned out, and after I got in touch with Nexar directly, I was told that there is currently an issue with UK cell phone companies blocking the verification codes. This appears to be a country-specific issue, so for US users this should hopefully not be an issue. A note on the Nexar website to explain this would have stopped me wasting a lot of time though.

One other thing that appears to be a potential issue, especially for anyone wanting to use the Nexar Beam2 mini in the UK, is that a strong mobile signal is needed for it to function correctly. As I drove off on my first journey, while the camera was doing its initial setup procedure, I kept on getting an audible alert suggesting I find a stronger cell phone signal. However, after a reboot, things seemed to settle down somewhat and the message stopped.

Maybe I was just unlucky, but the various teething troubles tainted my experience of the Nexar Beam2 Dash Cam somewhat. Nevertheless, this is a very decent dash camera, with results that left a positive impression. It’s great at capturing video in a wide variety of scenarios, and the audio quality seems really good too. Things look slightly less impressive on finer details, such as license plates, but this model is affordable, so some element of compromise is inevitable.

Should you buy the Nexar Beam2 mini Dash Cam?

Buy it if…

Don’t buy it if…

How I tested the Nexar Beam2 Mini Dash Cam

  • I installed the dash cam in one test car for an initial period of two weeks
  • I used it for a wide range of journeys during the day and at night
  • I connected it to my phone and downloaded recordings to assess their quality

I was sent a loan package of the Beam2 mini Dash Cam by Nexar, which also provided me with the LTE Protection Plan for good measure. The camera was installed in a car I was testing at the time, and powered using the setup described in the review above. I also installed the Nexar app on an iPhone, which required me to follow a verification process that required the phone to receive a text in order to proceed.

I then tested the Beam2 mini over several days and in a variety of driving conditions, including local roads as well as larger highways. I was able to explore its capabilities in various weather conditions, including rainy days and in low-light as well as after dark.

Hong Kong Joins Global Race With New Stablecoin Licensing Bill

by admin May 21, 2025

Hong Kong passed a stablecoin bill that will enable the region to establish a licensing regime for fiat-backed stablecoin issuers.

“Hong Kong’s stablecoins are backed by fiat currency as underlying assets, and we welcome global enterprises and institutions interested in issuing stablecoins to apply in Hong Kong,” legislative council member Johnny Ng said on X on Wednesday.

Institutions are expected to be able to apply for a license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority by the year-end.

Hong Kong has been working on establishing a stablecoin regime since 2023. The nation had published a consultation paper on stablecoin guidelines towards the end of 2023. It later introduced the Stablecoin Bill, which the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passed in its third reading, Ng’s post said.

The region has been looking to keep up with nations around the world that have been establishing their stablecoin regimes. The European Union started licensing stablecoin issuers last year after passing its wide-ranging bespoke crypto bill, called the Markets in Crypto Assets regulation (MiCa). Meanwhile, the U.S. has a stablecoin bill that is passing through Congress, and the U.K. has been gathering feedback on draft legislation that will also affect stablecoins.

The stablecoin sector has become the hottest trend in recent years, with both crypto and TradFi firms ramping up their exposure to the industry. Ben Reynolds, BitGo’s managing director of stablecoins, said at Consensus 2025 that large banks are increasingly taking notice of the industry, largely out of fear that they will lose market share to the digital dollars.

Key points:

  • Bitcoin made a new all-time high, but the bulls will have to sustain the higher levels for the momentum to pick up.

  • Several altcoins have bounced off their respective support levels, signaling a positive sentiment.

  • Analysts expect Bitcoin to maintain its positive momentum and surge above $200,000 by the end of the year.

Bitcoin (BTC) rose to a new all-time high on May 21 on easing macroeconomic fears and continued inflows into the US-based spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds. Analysts expect the momentum to continue and Bitcoin to surge to $200,000 by the end of the year.

There are some murmurs among analysts about a bearish divergence, leading to a double-top pattern. However, private wealth manager Swissblock Technologies said in a post on X that its Bitcoin Fundamental Index is not showing any bearish divergence, and the onchain strength remains intact.

Crypto market data daily view. Source: Coin360

Bitcoin is on the verge of forming a “golden cross” on the daily chart, which generally is followed by sharp rallies, barring a few instances when the pattern failed. Bitcoin’s strength is expected to improve sentiment in the cryptocurrency sector, pulling several altcoins higher.

What are the possible target levels for Bitcoin? Could altcoins break above their respective overhead resistance levels? Let’s analyze the charts of the top 10 cryptocurrencies to find out.

Bitcoin price prediction

Bitcoin rose above the $109,588 overhead resistance, but the bulls are struggling to sustain the higher levels, as seen from the long wick on the candlestick.

BTC/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The upsloping moving averages and the relative strength index (RSI) in the overbought zone indicate that the bulls are in control. If the price closes above $109,588, the BTC/USDT pair could pick up momentum and skyrocket toward $130,000.

The 20-day exponential moving average ($101,958) is the critical support to watch out for on the downside. A break below the 20-day EMA will be the first sign that the bulls are booking profits in a hurry. That increases the risk of a break below the psychological support of $100,000.

Ether price prediction

Buyers are trying to sustain Ether (ETH) above the $2,550 level but are facing significant resistance from the bears.

ETH/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The upsloping 20-day EMA ($2,334) and the RSI near the overbought zone indicate that buyers are in control. The ETH/USDT pair is likely to pick up momentum on a break above $2,739. That clears the path for a rally to $3,000.

Contrary to this assumption, a break and close below the 20-day EMA signals that the bears are back in the game. The pair could tumble to $2,111, which is likely to attract solid buying by the bulls.

XRP price prediction

XRP (XRP) has been witnessing a tough battle between the buyers and sellers at the 20-day EMA ($2.35).

XRP/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The flattish 20-day EMA and the RSI near the midpoint do not give a clear advantage either to the bulls or the bears. If the price skids below the 20-day EMA, the XRP/USDT pair may stay inside the $2 to $2.65 range for a while.

Instead, if the price turns up sharply from the 20-day EMA and breaks above $2.65, the advantage will tilt in favor of the bulls. The pair could rally to $3 and, after that, to $3.40, where the sellers are expected to mount a strong defense.

BNB price prediction

BNB (BNB) bulls have held the 20-day EMA ($639) support during the pullback, indicating buying on dips.

BNB/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The bulls will try to push the price above $693 but are expected to face solid selling by the bears. However, if buyers bulldoze their way through, the BNB/USDT pair could skyrocket to the overhead resistance at $745.

This optimistic view will be negated in the near term if the price turns down from the current level or the overhead resistance and breaks below the 20-day EMA. That could sink the pair to the 50-day SMA ($609).

Solana price prediction

Sellers failed to pull Solana (SOL) below the 20-day EMA ($164), indicating demand at lower levels.

SOL/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The bulls will try to propel the price above the $185 overhead resistance. If they can pull it off, the SOL/USDT pair could accelerate toward the target objective of $210 and then $220.

If sellers want to prevent the upside, they will have to quickly tug the price below the 20-day EMA. The pair could slide to $153 and later to the 50-day SMA ($145). That suggests a possible range-bound action between $120 and $180.

Dogecoin price prediction

Dogecoin (DOGE) has bounced off the breakout level of $0.21, indicating that buyers are active at lower levels.

DOGE/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The 20-day EMA ($0.21) is trending up, and the RSI is in the positive zone, signaling that buyers are in command. The DOGE/USDT pair could rally to the $0.26 level, which could attract sellers. If the price turns down sharply from the overhead resistance, the pair could form a narrow range between $0.26 and $0.21 for some time.

Contrarily, a break and close above $0.26 signals the start of the next leg of the up move. The pair could then surge to $0.35.

Cardano price prediction

The bulls have kept Cardano (ADA) above the neckline of the inverse head-and-shoulders (H&S) pattern during the pullback.

ADA/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The flattish 20-day EMA ($0.74) and the RSI in the positive zone indicate the bulls have an edge. Buyers will have to thrust the price above $0.86 to signal the resumption of the uptrend. The ADA/USDT pair could then skyrocket to $1.01.

This positive view will be invalidated in the near term if the price turns down and breaks below the 50-day SMA ($0.69). That suggests the bulls are losing their grip, increasing the risk of a fall to $0.60.

Related: Bitcoin enters ‘acceleration phase’ resembling BTC price gains seen after Trump election victory

Sui price prediction

Sui’s (SUI) pullback has taken support at the 20-day EMA ($3.73), indicating a positive sentiment.

SUI/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The upsloping 20-day EMA and the RSI in the positive territory indicate an advantage to buyers. The SUI/USDT pair could reach the $4.25 obstacle, where the sellers are expected to step in. If buyers do not cede much ground to the bears, it increases the likelihood of a break above $4.25. The pair may then climb to $5.

The 20-day EMA is the critical support to watch out for on the downside. A break and close below the 20-day EMA could sink the pair to the 50-day SMA ($3.04).

Chainlink price prediction

Buyers successfully defended the neckline of the inverse H&S pattern in Chainlink (LINK), indicating buying on dips.

LINK/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

The bulls are trying to strengthen their position by pushing the price above the resistance line. If they manage to do that, the LINK/USDT pair could rally to $18. Sellers will try to halt the up move at $18, but the rally could extend to $19.80 if the bulls prevail.

Time is running out for the bears. If they want to make a comeback, they will have to swiftly yank the price below the 50-day SMA. The pair may then remain inside the channel for a few more days.

Avalanche price prediction

Avalanche (AVAX) took support at the 50-day SMA ($20.88), signaling that the bulls are trying to form a higher low.

AVAX/USDT daily chart. Source: Cointelegraph/TradingView

Buyers will have to drive and maintain the price above the $23.50 resistance to gain the upper hand. The AVAX/USDT pair could then climb to $26.84, which may act as a hurdle. If buyers overcome the $26.84 barrier, the pair could ascend to $31.73 and subsequently to $36.

Contrary to this assumption, if the price turns down from the overhead resistance and breaks below the 50-day SMA, it suggests that the bulls have given up. The pair could then decline to $18.50.

Sonos portable speakers are 25 percent off for Memorial Day

by admin May 21, 2025

Sonos’ speakers are known for their premium price tags, but if you’re looking for a more affordable entry-point to the ecosystem, you can get up to 25 percent off some of the company’s portable speakers and speaker bundles for Memorial Day. That includes $113 off the Sonos Move 2, which brings the speaker’s price down from $449 to $336.

The Sonos Move 2 was introduced in 2023 as the more expensive follow-up to the original Move, Sonos’ first “portable” speaker. You can argue over it’s portability — the Move 2 makes more sense as something your carry to your backyard than take on a hike — but the speaker packs a punch and lets you play music over both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. We liked the Sonos Move 2 when we originally reviewed it, but took issue with how expensive it was, so this sale helps make splurging on it more palatable.

Sonos

Sonos’ powerful portable speaker is available for $339, $113 off its normal price.

$336 at Sonos

If you’re looking for something even more portable and affordable, the Sonos Roam 2 is also on sale for $45 off. Like the Move 2, the speaker has the ability to connect to a smartphone over Bluetooth outside while still being able to hook into your larger Sonos sound system over Wi-Fi at home. The Sonos Roam 2 offers some key improvements to the original Roam’s design, too, like new colors and easier to understand buttons, while still providing the company’s signature sound profile and 10 hours of battery life.

On top of the two speakers, you could also buy a bundle of a speaker and an accessory, like the Sonos Roam 2 and an OtterBox case, or a bundle of multiple speakers. You can get two Roam 2’s for $268 or a Sonos Roam 2 and Sonos Move 2 for $479, for example.

Sonos has faced issues in the last year ironing out software problems — the bugs and missing features were so bad the company’s CEO stepped down — but the fundamentals of how the company’s speakers sound have remained great. With the ship mostly righted on the software side of things, a sale is a great time to see what all of the fuss is about.

1,388,655 Solana Suddenly Moves On-chain, What’s Happening?

by admin May 21, 2025

Solana (SOL) is witnessing increased activity. In two separate transactions, Solana whales moved 1,388,655 SOL on-chain. Whale Alert, a platform tracking such large transactions in the market space, spotted transfers between unknown wallets.

Solana investors watch for follow-up whale moves

According to Whale Alert, the total value of both transfers is $235,449,867. The huge transfers caught the attention of the tracking platform, as they could have several implications for Solana’s price outlook.

Notably, when large holders move their assets, it could signal their intention to sell, redistribute or secure them. As for the current movement, it is worth noting that it was not sent to an exchange, so the holder might have been in a redistribution mood.

However, it does not prevent the whale from proceeding to send to an exchange afterwards. In the meantime, no action has been taken.

Over the past seven days on the crypto market, Solana has continued to stagnate between $160 and $175. The token has been unable to find stability above the $175 level to support an attempt to hit $180.

As of press time, Solana’s price was changing hands at $171.84, representing a 3.27% increase in the last 24 hours. However, the ecosystem is witnessing a slight pullback from investors, as trading volume has slipped by 5.77% to $3.59 billion within the same time frame.

SOL technical indicators point to imminent test

Amid these developments, sentiment remains bullish for Solana to make a surprise comeback and surge toward the price of $200. The optimism rests on broader market indicators like the ongoing rally of Bitcoin, the leading digital currency.

Additionally, Solana’s short-term exponential moving averages, such as the 26-day EMA, suggest a possible bullish setup for the coin.

However, Solana faces a crucial price test in its upward momentum as its 200-day Simple Moving Average highlights a major resistance at $181.
