One Piece Chapter 1159 reveals the shocking details behind the God Valley Incident, so here’s what to expect.
After Shakuyaku left the Kuja Pirates and came to Hachinosu, her bar became a worldwide attraction for pirates. Almost every pirate wanted her, including Roger and Xebec. However, the latter got over his infatuation and fell in love with an unknown woman, eventually welcoming a baby who’d later grow up to become Blackbeard.
However, it was not all rosy for Xebec. His friendship with Harald came to an end after their fierce fight. Elsewhere, Garling nominated God’s Valley as the venue for the World Government’s next tournament, revealing that he’d found something there that Imu would like.

At that time, Dragon – who was just a Marine soldier – was posted in God Valley. As we learned from Kuma’s flashback, Ivankov, Ginny, and he also arrived on the island in a slave ship during the same time. Morgans was there too, secretly leaking the island’s information to Hachinosu.

On the other side of the sea, Xebec was on his way to God Valley. When he met Harald on the way, he revealed the reason behind his hurry. Thanks to the World Government’s hefty bounty on him, he feared for his family’s safety and sent his wife and son to God Valley, his homeland.
