How to get Machop in Pokemon Go
Having been introduced to the game since launch, Machop has had many ways to be caught. However, currently, it can only be found:
- As a wild encounter (increased spawns during the May 24 Community Day Classic)
- As a 2-Star Max Battle boss

Previously, players could hatch Machop from 2km, 5km, and 7km Eggs. It has also appeared as a Tier 1 Raid boss and as a reward for completing plenty of Field/Special/Timed Research. For a while, its Shadow version was part of the Team Go Rocket, and trainers could rescue it from Cliff‘s grasp.

How to evolve Machop into Machoke and Machamp
Tiny Machop is part of a three-member family, which means a good amount of Candy will be required to register all of its forms in the Pokedex. Luckily, there are no special requirements or items. In fact, there’s an alternative for those who don’t want to grind so hard.
To evolve Machop into Machoke, players will need to feed it 25 Candy. To turn Machoke into Machamp, trainers can either feed it an extra 100 Candy or trade it to another player to trigger the evolution.

Machop Candy
With Machop spawning nonstop during the upcoming Community Day Classic, players shouldn’t have trouble gathering the required amount of Candy.
However, to do it faster, they can always use Pinap Berries to increase the amount of Candy they receive per catch. Then, they can transfer their extra Machop to Professor Willow in exchange for a few more.
They can also set the Pokemon as their Buddy and take it for long walks, or trade some Rare Candy for more Machop Candy.

Shiny hunters can easily spot Shiny Machop thanks to its distinctive golden color, which differs greatly from the grayish body it usually has.
If a Shiny Machop is evolved, players can get a Shiny Machoke and Shiny Machamp, both with green bodies that make them look like Hulk’s relatives. During Gigantamax Machamp’s debut, lucky players might find Shiny Gigantamax Machamp, which is also green.
It’s worth noting, though, that the odds of finding a Shiny Pokemon are very low, as there’s no special technique or method to secure an encounter.

The only thing trainers can do to increase their chances is to hunt as many Machop as they can until they come across what they’re looking for. Remember to take advantage of the Community Day Classic event featuring Machop and the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day to do so.
